There is a recall on the leaking coolant but my vehicle vin does not show that it’s in the system. It’s not a big coincidence that my vehicle is having the problem that you recalled but I’d not listed. Please fix my vehicle with this recall. This is a safety issue that needs to be resolved. Thanks

Coolant bypass valve has failed for a third time now in my 2013 escape since I bought it in 2016. First time in 2017. Was told this was not covered under my warranty by ford and no recalls (for my specific vehicle). The bypass valve, from recall reviews i've read online, could stuck closed not allowing antifreeze to pass into the engine. This could cause engine to overheat and catch fire. Other recalls have noted possible engine fire from coolant leak. The check engine light has come on in all three instances. The diagnostic code is the same this time as the last two-P26b7. No recall for my specific vehicle because it wasn't built in the factory that the recall vehicles, with same problem, was built in. Although, it's the same problem, with the same cooling design.

2nd day I had it temp out side was -15° in Feb. I started my car and warning lamp said low coolant service immediately not even 2 minutes it said pull over safely engine will shut down. dealership came got it said it was a coolant hose.... they lied. it was the coolant bypass valve that was malfunctioning. I got the car back and it was okay for a couple weeks then said low coolant. I've been dealing with pretty significant coolant bypass valve problem since. so I got to researching and found that there was infact a recall on my year, make and model car but yet my vin wasn't included. this is seriously going to cause me or my family serious injury if not fixed and I do not believe I should have to pay for repairs on something that's known to be faulty.

MY 2013 FORD ESCAPE KEEPS SHUTTING OFF WHILE IN MOTION AND ALSO WHEN STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND STARTED SOMETIME IN JUNE, 2014. HAPPENS REGARDLESS OF HOW SLOW OR FAST I AM MOVING IN THE VEHICLE. TOOK VEHICLE INTO MY LOCAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR A SCHEDULED CHECK UP AND MENTIONED THE ISSUE AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. CALLED FORD CORPORATE IN SEPTEMBER AND LOGGED A FORMAL COMPLAINT. THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE UNTIL PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. THEY COULD NOT SEND APPROPRIATE PARTS UNTIL THEY COULD FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING WRONG. THEN THEY SAID A RECALL WOULD BE ISSUED THE END OF SEPTEMBER AND PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR FIXES THEN. CALLED LOCAL FORD SERVICE ON 10/10/2014 AND THEY CLAIM PARTS STILL HAVE NOT COME AND COULD BE ANOTHER WEEK. THIS SAME ISSUE SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING TO OTHER 2013 MODELS AROUND THE COUNTRY. FORD HAS BEEN VERY SLOW ABOUT ACKNOWLEDGING BUT WHEN PRESSED THEY SEEM TO GIVE PARTIAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT BUT STILL NO PROMISES. THIS IS A DANGEROUS ISSUE FOR DRIVERS. CAN SOMETHING BE DONE?
