The contact owns a 2023 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the front driver’s and passenger’s side electric mirrors could not be adjusted from the front driver’s door main switch. Additionally, the windows failed to roll up and to roll down while using the front driver’s door main switch. The contact stated that while in a parking garage, the front driver’s side window failed to roll down, and the driver was unable to immediately insert the parking garage ticket to exit the garage. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the front driver’s door main switch module, but the failure later reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 21,000.

While pulling out of a parking lot onto a 4 lane undivided city street, the vehicle flashed a warning light on the dash saying “Trailer Brakes Engaged” and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop in the lanes of active traffic narrowly avoiding a collision. As if the parking brake had set uncommanded. The vehicle was not and has never pulled a trailer since we’ve owned it the last 9 months. The engine was stalled but accessory was still on. After an off/on cycle the vehicle started and went into gear functioning normally. Immediately taken to a ford/Lincoln dealer. They inspected and told us they found no codes and no discernible issues with the vehicle and it was released. Will be dropped off at another ford shop in the morning to continue diagnosis.

The vehicle was sitting at idle in the driveway when a loud boom was heard followed by loud crackling noises coming from what sounded like, everywhere. I turned off the radio and the noise continues. I turned off the vehicle and exited and the noise continued for about one minute before stopping. It has not happened again and I will take it to the dealership to get checked. Had this happened while driving at highway speeds it could have caused a reaction resulting in a horrific crash.
There is a shudder and whining noise with confused shifting gears behavior.
Hurricane Helene inundated our parking lot on September 27 with approximately 3-4 feet of storm surge. Many vehicles (20-25) were trapped and flooded. This vehicle caught fire and was totally consumed over the course of a 5-6 hour burn. Although all vehicles in our lot were flooded, this was the only vehicle to catch fire. By reports of eyewitnesses, the fire started underwater at the front of the vehicle and proceeded to consume it entirely. It did not blow up. Also reported is that the flashers and alarm/horn were active when the fire started (same was true for most other vehicles in the lot that did not burn). This vehicle is not a Hybrid or EV, it is a stock gasoline vehicle with no modifications. The vehicle was towed away by Auto-Owners Insurance company. It is unknown if they have done any form of inspection or investigation. This was not reported to the police but the fire department made a call to extinguish the flames at 4:55 am when the water receded enough for them to access the parking lot.
Ford expedition max 2023. My vehicle has had issues since day one. Transmission has a Rough idle- can see hood shake, door shake, steering wheel shake. This is in all temperatures, it does not matter if the car has been sitting for 3 minutes or 2 days it does this. Transmission rough shifting gears 3-4-5 between 1-2 RPMs. What is going on with the transmission? Is it going to potentially lock up on me? Any transmission issue is a safety concern. Windshield wiper not aligned properly front passenger side, ford continues saying this is normal… however not all expeditions have abnormally high wind shield wipers. Error code- park brake fault service now. Dealership says this was a fluke for this service code to pop up and nothing is wrong. There was already an air conditioning leak that has been resolved. This should not happen in a 2023 vehicle. Screen is always glitching will stay glitched for several hours where it’s showing black, or showing 10 different parts of the screen and you can’t press anything etc… or staying locked on the back up camera. Dangerous to be driving and have your maps on and then it disappears where you cannot access it. Right side (passenger side) fold out mirror randomly does not fold out upon unlocking vehicle and gets stuck folded in, dangerous to drive with a mirror folded in this affects visibility. Drivers seatbelt messed up, became loose and had to be replaced. This is again a huge safety issue, it has been fixed but should not be occurring in a 2023 vehicle.
While spouse was traveling using the 15.5 screen with navigation system engaged, the entire screen went black. The touch screen controls many items including the A/C system, navigation, hands free phone and other safety items.
Wife was driving with my 3 kiddos going 30 mphs on a two lane highway and experienced a total power loss/engine shut down. No prior warning. This is potentially a dangerous situation. The expedition was stranded on the roadway with no engine power or electrical power. 8500 miles on this expedition. We had to call a tow and take to the dealership.
I crunk my 2023 Ford Expedition up yesterday so the AC would run and it wouldn’t be so hot. I pressed the break, and the start button and simply crunk it up, I then got the keys out of the vehicle so I could unlock my house. When I walked back outside My truck had rolled backwards and hit my house. The vehicle was in park. Now I have to fix my house and my truck and all of this is something that should have never happened and is extremely scary and dangerous. Thankfully I got into my house before it hit it because I may not have been so lucky considering my vehicle was to my back and could’ve easily rolled over me if it had started rolling sooner than it did.
I rented the vehicle in question from Hertz. The vehicle's cruise control and vehicle acceleration system repeatedly malfunctioned over the course of several days. I would have cruise control set for 35 mph and the vehicle would automatically re-set cruise control to 55 or 65 mph. Likewise, I could have the cruise control set for 55 mph or 75 mph and it would automatically on its own re-set the cruise control to 85 mph and even, in a couple cases, 100 mph.
