See attached document for complaint. I am writing to report that I have tried several times to have my 2014 Ford Explorer repaired for safety recall 24S02/NHTSA recall 24V031. I was told that no one had the parts for the repair. I live in Clermont, Florida, and I have contacted that Ford location multiple times along with other Ford dealers in the central Florida area. How can I get my Ford repaired?
In January 2024 we were driving on the interstate when the left front A-Pillar trim part around windshield came off and hit our windshield, then flew off on the highway. We received a recall from Ford in February 2024, to date they claim they still don't have the part to repair, we now have water that leaks into the car when it rains. Which is creating issue inside our car. it has now been two years, it seems like they will never get this and my car will keep leaking. The car is titled in Virginia but the car is located at our Florida property in Clearwater Beach FL, I need it fixed down here.

The vehicle inspection to see if our vehicle qualified for the recall to replace the A-Pillar trim was done well over a year ago. The inventory has been on backorder for over a year as well. The windshield desperately needs replaced for safety reasons and the windshield cannot be replaced without replacing these recalled pieces. We are having to pay $200 extra out of pocket to replace these defective pieces. According to Ford they will not reimburse for the repair since they notified us of the recall, but they haven't been able to fix the problem in a timely manner and we need a new windshield immediately. So I believe they should reimburse us for these parts we have to pay out of pocket for due to not being able to fix the recall.
See attached document for complaint I am sending you a copy of a letter I sent to the Ford Motor Company over my lack of satisfaction over safety recalls on my 2014 Ford Explorer with the local Ford Dealership as well as the Ford Motor Company. I have attached a copy of the letter I sent to Ford Corporate concerning two (2) recalls on my vehicle that seem to be totally ignored by Ford. I know that it is the responsibility of the NTSB to monitor and regulate the safety of the traveling public within the United States. To this end, I feel that Ford needs to be looked at concerning its lack of safety concern based on my experiences. Although, I was contacted over 18 months ago about a safety recall on my Ford Explorer by Ford Corporate, my repeated calls to the dealership and to Ford Corporate have fallen on deaf ears. No one at Ford seems to care. I would appreciate any assistance the NTSB can render on this issue on my behalf.

On [XXX] I was driving on the freeway when both A pillars came loose and the rubber trim was damaged. I had to pull over and buy some electrical tape from the gas station to somehow secure them so that I can get home. While I was looking into the repair I came across information that there is a current safety recall for the A-Pillars for the Ford Explorer and my vehicle was one of the affected vehicles. Manufacturer recall # 24S02 and NHTSA Recall # 24V031. I contacted two Ford Dealerships Performance Ford located in 2000 E. Garvey Ave West Covina, CA. 91791 and also Chino Hills Ford 4480 Chino Hills Pkwy. Chino, CA. 91710. Both businesses gave me the excuse that they did not have parts for the repair but aftermarket parts are available with other vendors. I explained that my vehicle is actually one of the affected vehicles and I was concerned with not just the pillars flying completely off but also possibly water damage since the seals that go with the A-Pillars were damaged. They had nothing to say other than they will contact me when parts become available this recall is over a year old. Getting it repaired is a whole different matter and we keep getting brushed off, being told "they are trying to source the parts". The pillar trim is loose & rattling, and ready to fly off the car. We have been extremely patient and accepting of the delay, but now believe we aren't going to see this issue resolved.

Both A Pilar Trim pieces are currently loose on my 2014 Ford Explorer. This is now a recall from Ford as of February 2024 from the notice I received in the mail. I have been trying to have these trim pieces replaced on my car since March of 2024 but the part has not been available. Prior to this recall, this piece has already been repaired on my car once on August 4, 2020. The trim piece flew off my car on the freeway and luckily didn't hit anyone on the road. I would like to get these recall A Pilar trim pieces repaired ASAP because this is a safety issue as it can and will fly off and potentially damage another vehicle, person or cause an accident. In February of 2024 I received a recall notice for this vehicle with respect to defective A-pillar applique trim clip attachments around the windshield. The recall stated that parts would be available the latter half of 2024 and that we would be notified when we could schedule our SUV to be fixed. We did not hear from Ford for many months. When winter approached, we called to see what the status was of the parts for this recall. We were told the parts were not available until December. Unaware that this flaw could cause severe water leaking, my wife drove the car as usual. The recall notice even states that there is no reason to stop driving the vehicle. When the first rains hit in November, the car leaked A LOT of water around the windshield and came through the top console. So much water leaked into the floor carpet areas had standing water. We had never experienced any leakage issues before and we're not properly notified that this was the potential issue or that it should not be driven in the rain. We STILL do not have any date for the fix on our SUV. We cannot drive it when it is raining, and in fact, have to cover it with a large tarp so water does not leak inside again. The leak having run down through the electrical system at the top of the inside of the windshield has caused problems. The sun roof now does not work and is now stuck in a partially open position. the rearview camera now works intermittently and the main computer console has gone black a number of times. We seem to have been able to air out the wet carpet smell that prevailed for some time. Needless to say, this is ridiculous. It has been a YEAR since the recall notice was sent. My wile and I are incredibly angry about this situation. Your dealership has done nothing to help us and has only said that we have to contact Ford directly ourselves. I would appreciate your passing this email along to Ford Customer Service in Dearborn, Ml and to your Service department. I will also be sending a copy to the National Highway Traffic Safety Admini

Due to a failed seal between the roof and the trunk door, water has leaked and corroded the exterior of the body over time. The corrosion has caused a hole to develop to the point that when it rains water leaks into the back of the car. As a result water entered the tail lights and caused the tail light to short out on one side. Some roofing tar and duck tape has helped with a temporary fix but it has been a hazardous problem because the leaking water can create a build up of moisture and mold growth within the vehicle. Another problem is the power windows and the power locking and unlocking system have become glitchy and have failed to work at times. The key pad, keyless entry has completely stopped working and the lock mechanism for the driver side of the car has completely fallen apart and can no longer be used. The only way to unlock and lock the car is to use the key lock and unlock buttons. Lastly, the door hinges have ripped off on the passenger door which prevents the door from staying open. The extra bar that helps the door stay open broke off during a relatively moderate winds when the door got caught in a moderate level strength wind gust and completely broke off.

APIM unit and plastic body components 2014 Explorer, Sync2 v3.10 Symptoms: Malfunction of power window controls, radio controls, rear camera and vent controls. The APIM also controls many other safety functions, such as safety lanes, park assist, backup guides, gps, cruise control, trailer/tow information, and other warnings/features. It is notable that Ford has issued recalls for the APIM due to safety issues in different year Explorer, as well as F150, F250, F350, Escape, Expedition, Fusion and Lincoln models Navigator and MK2 models, to name a few. This has been reported once, I spoke with a Ford representative and he setup an appointment at the dealership that was to setup an appoint for diagnosis before they setup a repair/replacement appointment. An appointment to setup an appointment to setup a diagnosis appointment to setup a repair appointment. Seriously, what is up with that? Finally, plastic window components had to be replaced. Ford issued a recall on these items but it was after we had the repairs completed. They refused reimbursement.

On the freeway, the Windshield rubber trim came loose from its cover started flapping on the window and top of car and then torn off by wind shear. It flew in the air behind the car and could cause the vehicles behind us to swerve or it could actually hit one of the others cars. Our car was recently inspected. This had no warning.
The driver side windshield bar is slowly detaching. The plastic frame between the door and windshield. Also the rubber is coming off. At some point this will completely detach possibly while in movement and could cause a severe wreck if on highway. I've notice this defect on many Ford Explorers. This safety issue needs immediate attention before an accident occurs due to Ford's improper engineering. Even though this is a 2014 I've only put 48,000 miles on the vehicle.

Drivers side pillar trim has flown off the car at hiway speeds twice now. This is a very dangerous incident, that keeps happening and ford will not acknowledge that there is an issue.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel locked inadvertently. The message "Traction Failure - Stop Safely" and several unknown warning lights were illuminated. There was no further information provided. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the electronic steering rack and pinion were replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the driver's side windshield trim panel separated, struck, and cracked the windshield of the vehicle behind. There was no injury sustained. Additionally, the driver's side windshield rubber detached and started striking the side of the vehicle. The contact veered to the side of the road. A Ford technician met the contact on the side of the road and assisted the contact in securing the rubber into position and tape was applied. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the vehicle was not covered under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.

I was traveling down I10 from Houston to San Antonio, somewhere near Luling. I thought a rock hit the windshield, then I few seconds later I heard it again, and then I noticed a black piece of something flapping back and forth along my passenger window. There was no place to safely stop so I reduced my speed, 75 to 60. I traveled until I could find a safe trace to stop. That is when I discovered the rubber molding along the right side of the windshield had pealed away and was flapping , hitting the side of my Explorer, the right mirror, and the passenger window. The mirror and window were so marked up because of the molding flapping I could hardly see through them. I had to continue my trip at a greatly reduced speed. The molding on the right was also loose. Once I arrived at my destination I used painters tape to secure the molding , on both sides of the windshield.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that he became aware that the front passenger’s side floorboard was soaked with water. Bought the vehicle used from a dealership. The windshield wobbles at highways speeds. Noticed today that the trim on the left side of the vehicle is detached partially. Dealership will not do anything to resolve the issue. Serious safety concern.

I am writing to complain about the windshield pillar trim. I just had my left trim fly off while doing 80mph down the interstate. This already happened to my right side last year. This is a safety issue. It could have possibly hit a windshield of a car behind me and caused an accident. I have seen other complaints about this same issue. Can you please do something? I can't afford to keep buying aftermarket replacement trim for the rest of my life. That's like 60 dollars a pop. Also the aftermarket part cracks and doesn't fit snug like an OEM part. Please help. Please help others with this same issue. Thank you for your time. [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
I was driving down the freeway at 70 mph when the driver side windshield trim flipped off the car and hit the cars behind me and the roadway. Very dangerous situation. Scary to say the least. Is there a recall or a fix so this does not happen again?
While driving on the highway, the passenger front windshield trim piece flew off, causing the driver behind me to swerve to avoid being hit by it. I was not positive what happened until I was able to stop and look at the vehicle. Dealership said it was not under recall so would cost $300+ to replace the part. Previously in the same day I had heard a tapping/rattling noise but could not identify where the sound was coming from.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the front driver’s side windshield trim panel detached. The vehicle was taken to a body shop where the trim panel was replaced. The same failure also occurred with the passenger’s side trim panel and the panel was also replaced by the same body shop. Recently, the contact stated that the failure reoccurred on the driver’s side windshield panel. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where the contact was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE23001 (Structure). The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

Driver’s side windshield molding detached while driving 70 miles per hour on highway, unknown if object hit another car. Was unaware what happened, heard loud noise. I have a picture, unable to upload below.
The drivers side pillar molding piece along the windshield flew off the car while driving down the highway. It could have struck the car behind us but luckily it missed them. The piece seemed a little loose when scraping ice off the car but didn’t seem like it would just fly off like that.
WINDSHIELD TRIM PIECES HAVE BLOWN OFF MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAD TO BE REATTACHED BY BODY SHOP. LOCATED TRIM PIECE ON SIDE OF HIGHWAY. LIKELY PUT DRIVERS IN REAR IN DANGER DUE TO FLYING DEBRIS. NO WARNING WAS GIVEN OF THE FAULTY PIECES COMING FREE FROM THE SUV.

Three times in 8 years I have lost windshield trim panels when traveling at elevated speed (approximately 70 MPH). I believe it would have occurred more often but I grew weary in 2018 of paying the $135 to replace the trim part. Each time it occurred the trim piece left the car with a resounding & startling "crack" sound and happened without warning. All three occurrences involved the driver's side trim part on the A-pillar. Twice it occurred after a large truck passed me going the other way on a two lane road. Initially I went to the local Ford dealer but no one there seemed to care... they directed me to the parts counter... happy to take my money for this grossly overpriced part. Currently my car does not have the trim part in place
Plastic Trim piece, which covers the windshield rubber seal on driver side “A” pillar, fell off my 2014 Ford Explorer Limited. Incident happened about 2018.
Driving down the interstate and windshield A pillar panel flew off.

At Christmas we noticed that there was something flapping from the side of the windshield & hitting the windshield as well as bilateral front windows. Further inspection revealed what appears to be a rubber seal keeping the body trim flush with the windshield was disintegrating. This could even be holding windshield in place. This problem is reproducible & occurs anywhere over 30mph. The faster you go, the more the trim starts to detach from the vehicle. With the seal disintegrating, the trim body pieces that cover the arm of the door (black) is becoming loose/flimsy. Photos enclosed show you there is about a 1/2 inch gap between the trim & windshield without the seal causing easy movement & potential for air to lift/detach the trim. We are fearful this is going to fall off the vehicle. It appears that this seal was keeping this body piece in place. A huge safety concern arises anytime there is a part of a vehicle that is beginning to fall off at any speed. The seal itself could fall off in pieces as you will see in photos hitting not only other vehicles & causing them to lose control, it could also hit a motorcyclist causing them to crash, it could even go to the extent of hitting a pedestrian & causing major physical harm. The body trim that appears to be affected by this seal were to detach itself while moving it will definitely cause some major issues. Given this is more solid & bigger in size, this could cause significant motor vehicle damage, significant injury to motorcyclist and/or motorcycles, Injury to pedestrians, & even potentially cause a fatality. There are no warning lights or alarms from the vehicle alerting us of an issue. The Ford dealership is unable to see us for over a month to diagnose this issue let alone an oil change. This problem has not been reproduced by an inspection facility or license dealership because of scheduling at this time period there is an appointment set for February 10th however Injury or worse could occur until then.

The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, it was discovered that the driver’s side front window pillar trim molding had come unsecured and was nearly dislodged from the vehicle. The contact indicated that duct tape was used to secure the trim piece back to the vehicle to prevent it from separating from the vehicle while driving. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 37,000.

At one point the Explorer was always causing a rear wheel area to squeal really loud while driving. That finally got remedied but after 3 years of taking the vehicle in to 2 different shops. While yhe vehicle was still under warranty I was told there was nothing wrong and they can't reproduce the squeal. Once the warranty expired they said it was due to a seized brake which I ended up paying for the replacement even though they said this was a known issue on the Explorers. Another issue with the 2014 Explorer is water leaking into the rear compartments and the spare tire area in the vehicle. From online sear he's, this is also a known issue with no recalls. More recently, I was trying to get all four of my tires changed, but was told by the tire shop that they can't change my tires due to swollen lug nuts, this is a known issue on Ford's and I have to take it to a mechanic. I called Ted Britt Ford and inquired about the service to replace the lugs with solid metal lug nuts instead of the OEM chrome plated. Parts department told me they are $10 a piece. I went ahead an ordered them through the parts department. When I picked up my vehicle, I was told they don't sell the solid metal lug nuts and only replaced with the chrome plated OEM lug nuts.
The right side A pillar Windshield Molding flew off at highway speed on the interstate, This molding was not showing any signs of being loose prior to it coming off. The one one the drivers (left) has been loose for some time but is still holding on

I HAVE A 2014 FORD EXPLORER XLT, RECENTLY MY PASSENGER SIDE WEATHER STRIP ALONG THE FRONT WINDSHIELD BLEW OFF WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY. MY DRIVER SIDE DID THE SAME ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. THE PLASTIC TRIM PIECE ALONG THE FRONT WINDSHIELD, DRIVER SIDE IS LIFTING ALSO, I HAVE TRIED TO RE-GLUE SEVERAL TIMES BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO LAST. THIS SHOULD BE FIXED BY FORD, I HAVE READ A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS. THESE POSE A SAFETY ISSUE IF THE PLASTIC TRIM PIECE BLOWS OFF ON THE HIGHWAY.

THIS IS GOING TO COST ME OVER 500$ TO REPLACE AND THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE CAR. I ALSO MAINTAIN MY CAR WELL AND TAKE CARE OF IT. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAPPEN. THE WINDSHIELD REPAIR SHOP SAID THEY SEE THIS PROBLEM ON MY CAR ALL THE TIME. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS. FORD SHOULD HAVE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BEFORE IT CAUSES A MAJOR WRECK AND SOMEONE DIES. *TR

NOT ONLY ARE THEY EXPENSIVE IF IT RAINS IT IS GOING TO RAIN STRAIGHT INTO MY CAR THIS IS A HORRIBLE HAZARDOUS PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I AM LUCKY THAT ONE OF THOSE PANELS DIDNT HIT SOMEONE ELSES CAR AND CAUSE DAMAGE OR WORSE BECAUSE THOSE ARE BIG THICK MOLDING THAT COULD REALLY CAUSE MAJOR DAMAGE TO SOMEONE ELSE AND THEIR VEHICLE. FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM DIZZINESS SPELLS THAT HAPPEN QUITE OFTEN, NAUSEA , HEADACHES, BLURRED VISION, AND ANXIETY THAT IS BROUGHT ON FROM THESE SYMPTOMS. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DOCTOR COUNTLESS TIMES ATTEMPTING TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM OF THE CAUSE OF MY SICKNESS. BEFORE I FOLLOWED UP ON THE RECALL I WASN'T AWARE THAT MY CAR WAS BEING RECALLED FOR CARBON MONOXIDE CONCERNS. BUT IT ALL MAKES SENSE THE MAJORITY OF TIME I FEEL THESE SYMPTOMS IS EITHER WHEN I'M DRIVING OR HAVE FINISHED DRIVING. (NEXT DR'S VISIT I WILL REQUEST THEY DO LAB WORK FOR POTENTIAL CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.) OF COURSE ALL THE SYMPTOMS LINGER BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY IT STAYS IN MY SYSTEM. I FEEL LIKE MY CAR IS MAKING ME REALLY SICK. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR THAT I HAVE HAD FOR 2 YEARS.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND BOTH PIECES OF THE WINDSHIELD TRIM FLEW OFF WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF ONE ANOTHER. I AM WRITING TO YOU IN REGARDS TO PHYSICAL ILLNESS THAT I HAVE SUFFERED AS WELL AS MY PASSENGERS FROM MY 2014 FORD EXPLORER POLICE INTERCEPTOR PACKAGE. STARTING BACK WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AT APPROXIMATELY 59,000 MILES, I HAVE EXPERIENCED AN EXHAUST ODOR IN THE CABIN SHORTLY AFTER ACCELERATING OVER 3,000RPMS. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TWICE, WITH THE TECHNICIAN CONFIRMING THE SMELL. AFTER THIS WORK WAS PERFORMED, I STILL TO THIS DAY AM SUFFERING FROM EXHAUST FUMES AND PHYSICAL ILLNESS DIRECTLY RELATED TO MY FORD EXPLORER. ALL REPAIR ORDERS FROM INVOLVED FORD DEALERSHIPS ARE IN MY POSSESSION CONFIRMING EXHAUST FUMES ARE STILL ENTERING THE CABIN. FROM THE TIME I TOOK OWNERSHIP IN OCTOBER 2016, I HAVE EXPERIENCED PHYSICAL ILLNESS WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR AT A TIME. I GET EXTREMELY LIGHTHEADED AND NAUSEATED, WHICH HAS CAUSED ME TO FREQUENTLY STOP THE VEHICLE AND VOMIT. MY PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED SIMILAR SYMPTOMS WHEN RIDING IN THE VEHICLE. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I STOP AT A SAFE LOCATION AND REMOVE MYSELF TO FRESH AIR, AND THE SYMPTOMS SOON PASS AND I AM ABLE TO DRIVE AGAIN. RECENTLY, I HAVE TRAVELED FROM MASSACHUSETTS TO VERMONT IN MY EXPLORER. THE MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING TRIP IT WAS ME AS WELL AS MY GIRLFRIEND. AFTER AROUND AN HOUR OF DRIVING AT 60MPH, MY GIRLFRIEND AND I WERE FEELING VERY DIZZY AND BECAME NAUSEATED, SO I OPTED TO STOP AND RELAX AT A REST STOP FOR FRESH AIR PRIOR TO CONTINUING MY TRIP TO VERMONT. I HAVE INSTALLED A CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR IN MY VEHICLE, WHICH HAS ACTIVATED MORE THAN ONE OCCASION WHILE DRIVING. AT THIS TIME I AM NEGOTIATING WITH FORD'S OFFICE OF GENERAL COUNSEL TO PERFORM A BUYBACK OF MY EXPLORER AND REPLACE IT WITH A DIFFERENT VEHICLE.

A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALS THAT THIS IS A CHRONIC & RECURRING DEFECT, ONE THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO OTHER DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS AS WELL. I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE LEFT SIDE TRIM AT A COST OF OVER $200. FORD DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO COVER REPAIR

2014 FORD EXPLORER. ATTORNEY REPRESENTING CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO RUST ALONG FRONT EDGE OF VEHICLE HOOD. DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO REPLACE HOOD OR INCLUDE REQUESTS UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY PROTECTION. *SMD IT WAS FINALLY DETERMINED, IT WAS NOT RUST AS THE CONSUMER BELIEVED. THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO THE DEALER, WHERE THEY REPAIRED AND REPAINTED THE HOOD. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT HOOD, BUT THE FORD REPRESENTATIVE STATED IT WOULD NOT HELP AS THE NEW HOOD WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IN OTHER WORDS, THE SAME REPAIR WOULD LIKELY OCCUR AGAIN, IN THE NEXT 30 MONTHS. *JB

PURCHASED A USED 14 EXPLORER AND TOOK A 300 MILE DRIVE ON REMOTE HIGHWAYS. WHEN I RETURNED I NOTICED ONE THE WINDSHIELD PANELS WAS COMPLETELY MISSING FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE OTHER ONE WAS ALSO RAISED AND APPEARED TO BE LOOSENING. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND APPARENTLY THIS IS A PREVALENT ISSUE ACROSS 2013-14 EXPLORERS AND ONE WHICH FORD DOESN'T EVEN COVER UNDER ITS WARRANTY- NOT TO MENTION THE SAFETY HAZARD. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS PIECE WAS GONE UNTIL I GOT HOME. HAD THEIR BEEN A CAR BEHIND ME WHEN THIS FLEW OFF GOING 75 MPH, THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE OR ACCIDENT. I FIND IT ABSURD THAT FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A SAFETY RECALL FOR THIS. NOT TO MENTION IT COSTS $650 TO REPLACE EVERY TIME BECAUSE YOU NEED TO PURCHASE AN ENTIRELY NEW WINDSHIELD. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW FORD CAN CONTINUE TO DENY THIS ISSUE CONSIDERING HOW MANY MESSAGE BOARDS AND POSTS I'VE SEEN REGARDING THIS EXACT ISSUE. CAN YOU PLEASE ASSIST WITH THIS AND RAISE IT AS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE?

WHEN MY HUSBAND CLOSED THE HOOD IT DENTED. ONE SHOULD HAVE A REASONABLE EXPECTATION THAT WHEN YOU CLOSE THE HOOD THAT THE METAL WILL NOT BEND. I BELIEVE THAT THE ALUMINUM THAT THEY ARE USING IS OF TOO THIN/ INFERIOR GRADE. I WOULD HATE TO SEE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT IF THE HOOD COULD BEND SO EASILY FROM JUST CLOSING THE HOOD. *TR

WHEN ACCELERATING TO PASS A DANGEROUS TRUCK (58 MPH) STRONG FUMES COMES INSIDE THE CABIN, ACCELERATION TOOK 8 SECONDS, INSTANTLY WE START COUGHING AND GET WATERY EYES, OUR YEAR OLD BABY START CRYING SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF DISTRESS, WE TELL THIS TO SALES PERSON, WHICH QUICKLY TOLD US THE STORY THAT THIS HAPPENS WITH NEW CARS.. SUPPOSEDLY NEW ENGINES SHOULD NOT BE HIGHLY ACCELERATED. NAIVELY WE BELIEVE THIS AND DECIDE TO GIVE IT A FEW DAYS? DAY BECOME MONTHS AND PROBLEM GOT WORST, AFTER FEW MONTHS WE DECIDE TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE, UNFORTUNATELY FORD FROM FIRST DAY TREAT US LIKE IF WE WERE INVENTING THE MATTER, AND MAKE MY WIFE LOOK LIKE IF SHE WERE CRAZY, THE WORST PART IS THAT THEY KNOW THAT CAR HAS THE DEFECT AS PREVIOUS GENERATIONS HAS THE SAME PROBLEM(FORDTECHNICAL BULLETIN CONFIRM THIS ).WE CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE REGULAR PROCEDURE AND WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP ASKING THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM,THEY ONLY SHOW THEY WERE CLUELESS ABOUT IT AND AFTER MORE THAN SEVEN TIMES LEAVING THE CAR THERE THEY SAY THERE??S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. WE CONTACT FORD MANUFACTURER DIRECTLY,WHICH MAKE US GO THROUGH A LONG PROCESS OF VERIFYING BACK AND FORWARD, AND AT THE END AN ??ENGINEER?? SEND ESPECIALLY DIRECTLY FROM FORD TO THE DEALERSHIP TELL US PRACTICALLY THAT JUST DON??T ACCELERATE TO AVOID THIS !!!!.WE TOOK THE CAR TO SPECIALIST THAT MEASURED CO WITH A PROFESSIONAL TOOL THAT SHOW MORE THAN 140 PART PER MILLION!!!!!.THIS IS SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT FORD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT, MY FAMILY HAS BEEN SICK WITH FLUE LIKE SYMPTOMS FOR A LONG TIME, MY WIFE EXPERIENCED A VERY LONG LASTING COUGH THAT ONLY START GETTING BETTER AFTER FORCEFULLY I HAVE TO GET HER ANOTHER CAR AS I COULD NO LONGER EXPOSE MY FAMILY TO MORE OF THIS DANGERS. I REQUEST TO FORD TO REPLACE THE CAR AND THEY DENIED MY REQUEST I BELIEVE NHTSA SHOULD STEP UP ON TO THIS AND PROTECT THE CONSUMERS, THANKS *TR
