When I started my 2022 Ford F-150 equipped with the Bang & Olufsen (B&O) sound system, a sudden extremely loud “sonic boom” noise came through the speakers without warning. The sound was so intense it caused immediate pain in my ears, and I am concerned about the possibility of permanent hearing damage. This occurred at startup, before I adjusted any audio settings. This is a serious safety hazard because: The volume level was far beyond normal operation. It caused physical harm (ear pain). Such an unexpected loud noise could startle the driver, leading to loss of vehicle control. I believe this defect poses a risk of injury and should be investigated.

Jul 31, 2025

On July 30, 2025, as I was pulling onto the highway, my audio system started blaring noise from all the speakers in the vehicle. This noise was unbearably loud to the point I had to pull off the road. The noise coming from the speaker system was so loud that it was visibly shaking the door panels in the vehicle. I tried to turn down the volume, but it didn't help. After this, I tried turning off the vehicle's entertainment system, which still didn't help. I finally turned the car off, opened the door, got out, and then closed the door; however, the noise persisted for about 10 seconds before finally shutting off. Upon restarting the vehicle, the noise stopped, and I was able to drive for about a mile before starting again. At this point, I drove the car to my local Ford garage and, the problem was able to be replicated. They could not figure out how to fix the issue, but pulled the fuse to the audio system to prevent the sound from occurring and scheduled me to come back to inspect the vehicle at a later date.

May 29, 2025 Fire

On Sunday, [XXX], my truck spontaneously burst into flames while parked in my front yard. I had just returned from doing a number of errands. The truck had been running fine with no indications of a problem. I was outside tending to my smoker when I heard a sort of popping/crackling noise. I looked up at my truck approximately 40 feet away and saw flames shooting out from the engine bay through the hood gaps. I called 911 and attempted to douse the flames with a powder fire extinguisher with no luck. By the time the fire department arrived 15 minutes later or so, the truck was fully involved and burnt to the frame. I didn't smell gasoline during the initial startup, but a strong smell of burning wires. The concerns are of course for my safety and that of my family. It was just luck that the truck was parked in the front yard rather than next to my house where it's normally parked. We were have a sidewalk put in and thus my normal parking space wasn't available. I could've been driving at the time and with the speed of this fire, I'm not confident I would've been able to get out. The truck has been seen by the insurance company and is being towed out of my yard sometime today May 29th, 2025. I don't know where it will towed to. I have pictures and videos detailing the fire and it's progression. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Vehicle started screeching at a high pitch deafening tone. It terrified me and has made my ears ring and hurt all day....went and had a hearing test done and I now have mild hearing loss...will go back in two weeks to test it again. I pulled over and turned radio and truck off....and it still keep screaming. I disconnected the battery and it also still kept doing it. I drove to the dealership while.trying to plug ears shut with fingers.. After a hour there setting up to pay and leave the truck with them, it stopped. I did do the hearing test after it happened because my ears hurt and kept on ringing. I also recorded a video on my phone of the sound that was blasting out. I thought I smelt burning wires but realized later that the sound was way higher than the radio turned all the way up and the smell was coming from all the speakers being pushed over their max decimal compasity. I have a video but it will not let me upload it in the file section.

Unbearably loud ear piercing static from speakers. Unable to turn it off or lower volume. Volume controls didn’t work. Ears in major pain from the noise. I have video of the noise but don’t seem able to upload.

After driving home from work on 12/20/24 the truck was parked at ~10pm. At ~1AM on 12/21/24, I was alerted that the truck was on fire. I found the vehicle fully engulfed in the hood and cab area. There was no prior indication of a problem or issue. The truck was fully destroyed and my home and Jeep were damaged. My home was damaged and only saved because I brought my garden hose out and sprayed the house until the local FD arrived. The local Fire Investigator and the Insurance Fire investigator could it definitively identify how/why the truck caught fire and burned up.

The 7 pin trailer connecton doesn't work properly. The trailer clearance lights are on all the time. Even with the truck lights off. The electric brake controller pulses electric to the trailer brakes. Even when there is no trailer connected and the truck not running. The trailer brakes locked up. The lane centering is so sensitive the steering wheel shimmies. This makes the trailer sway.

The navigation, information, and control screen in this vehicle randomly shuts down and reboots. often when using the reverse and 360 camera system. Ford has said they will not work on these systems as they are faulty, and has promised a software revision for over 6 months. The dealers report that they are not allowed to work on this until the new software comes from Ford. At least one time the instrument cluster also went blank during driving. this is a safety concern that the ntsb should be aware of, in addition to the faulty/dangerous bluecruise and advance self driving features that put folks in peril.

Feb 2, 2025

Driving down the highway and all of a sudden the speakers made a sound like a gun going of then they all started popping at a deafening level. Was unable to focus or hear anything and almost was hit by another car before I could get safely pulled over, sat for nearly 2 hours turning on ignition periodically to see if it would stop finally it did. Looked online and there are numerous posts about this issue. This vehicle is not safe to drive as problem happens without any notice.

This is the 3rd time this has happened since purchasing this vehicle. Purchased on 7/27/24. The previous 2 times it resolved itself and the vehicle started and ran with no apparent issues afterwards.1st was on 8/05/24, 2nd was on 10/14/24. On this 3rd and current time I went to start the vehicle and vehicle would not start. The lights and radio work but the vehicle did not start. Only displayed a stop safely now message on the instrument panel. This is one of my worse fears happening as I type this. I'm stranded with a vehicle that will not start and my father is on his death bed with no way to get to him....

on January 20, 2024 I serviced my F-150 due to a malfunction. The DTC code came back as P0A1E-00. This is for the Starter/Generator Control Module. The belt and starter were reaplaced. The code appeared again on 12/21/24 2 times, 12/25/24, 12/26/24 2 times. I brought this back to the dealer on 12/19/2024. 12/26/2024, 12/27/2024. Somehow there was a TSB which I cannot acces that information, but this mentioned to test the battery. My battery failed. I paid for the diagnostics and battery. Then 3 hours later on 12/26 my Tuck went into a powersave mode. This time I brought it back on 12/27/2024, and got a call form the dealer on 12/31 that the replacement battery was defective. This was replaced. I am trying to find out why my battery died after only 2 years. Also since my DTC is related to the charging system, this could ptentially damage my battery. And they also replaced it with a defective battery. Ironically, there is a current recall of over 20,000 batteries being defective from Ford. I mentioned all of this to dealer and Ford directly, and no one can give me a straight answer of what it says to fix my issue.

I started my 2022 F150 with B/O Audio and an extremely loud blast that sounded like a cannon shot out of the speakers. My volume dial didn't work and loud crackling and popping sounds were coming out of the tweeter speakers. This has been reported many times already. Turning the audio and the entire vehicle off did nothing. Crackling actually would continue when vehicle was turned all the way off for at least 2 minutes, which would indicate some power was still being fed to the speakers for some reason. No warning lamps/messages appeared.

Another Ford F150 Supercrew leak from the front cowling area into the passenger floorboards. This is a 2022 Hybrid F150 Supercrew built during COVID and purchased March 9, 2022. There are too many reports online of leaks due to lack of sealing components where large aluminum parts meet. For example the fender and the cowling area. This particular leak is having a dealership spend 17 book hours at $215 per hour plus parts to fix a defect in workmanship. Ford is offering to partailly pay for the fix since the vehicle is 6000 miles out of warranty. The fact it is a defect in workmanship is not a consideration. It was never sealed. Thank you

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH, the message "Failure Trailer Brake Module" was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the turn signal was flashing constantly. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the trailer brake module was unresponsive. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

Reduce power warning, instrument cluster is black, extremely loud pulse noise from radio that can not be turned off , catalytic converter issue ( ck engine light ) stalled in traffic. and horrible fuel mileage. Nothing resolved from the dealer.

I am having multiple electrical glitches with the vehicle. While I was in bluecruise the self driving mode the vehicle warned me to take control and when I did the vehicle was stuck in a loop on the highway with notifications alarms. I was able to take a video one of the times. I took it to the ford dealer and they said they needed me to bring it back when an engineer was available. While waiting to go back had another serious issue with the head unit/audio system when I started up the vehicle. Ear damaging sounds came on and I lost control of the head unit. Shut the truck off and turned it back on and the ear piercing noises persisted. I made a video of this too. My head unit randomly reboots while driving the vehicle. Went back to ford and they did an update instead of having engineers diagnose the problem. Audio system still doesn’t work right and I think it is damaged from the event.

Feb 27, 2024

Vehicle's engine will not start. When attempting to start, it will turn on all usual electrical components, but will immediately show an warning message to "Stop Safely Now" along with an engine light of a red outlined truck with exclamation mark. Followed by a message of accessory mode on, however the engine will not start with no access to power steering or shifting gears. Normal attempts to jump start or charge the battery will not work. All fuses and harness connections appear to be normal. After researching Ford community forums, this appears to be a common complaint in the Powerboost Hybrid 2021-2022 Ford F-150s. Extremely inconvenient as this situation has left us stranded several hours from home with no reasonable solution other than to tow to a dealership. We hope our message helps encourage Ford Motor to continue researching the issue and come with a reasonable solution for all effected.

Jan 17, 2024

Vehicle will not start. Get "Stop safely now" message. It is 16 degrees outside. What if this had happened while I was out. This would be a life threatening problem. This appears to be a known issue, but Ford has not fixed it. There are hundreds of reports on various forums of the same problem.

Loud popping coming from the pillar and roof speakers after shutting the vehicle off, it scared me to death, this can cause accidents.

Again today 12/3/23 the sync 4 screen upon startup froze in a gray screen for minutes then restated rendering the Federally Mandated Tear Camera 100% inoperable. Nothing worked for minutes a safety hazard not being able to see and move

Nov 28, 2023

This horrifyingly loud rhythmic noise came out of my speakers yesterday. I have a F-150 Platinum with B&O Stereo system. My ears felt like they were bleeding and I actually experienced pain due to how loud the noise was. It happened when my truck was parked and I went to start it and the deafening noise hit. No matter what I did, turned the volume down, radio power off, turned the truck ignition off - it still made the noise. I also smelled a very strong burning smell that smelled like burning wires or transmission fluid. I have a video of it. I walked away to call Ford service and came back in about 5 minutes and the noise had stopped. When I opened the drive door, the noise started up again. I left and came back again and noise had stopped and didn't start up again. Had it towed to the dealer who said they had never heard of this before. They have it now and I sent them a link to the Ford F-150 forum and articles that are online talking about it from back in August. Extremely frustrating!!!

Nov 23, 2023

Loud pop from sound system is back again, and did it so loud scared the crap out of a passenger, this is beyond dangerous, the software update didn’t work, Ford denies any issues at all exist on anything.

Nov 23, 2023

Parked running boards do. Or always go up, lighting stays on for 10 min, have to go play with on/off over and over and to get it to shutoff. On the HwY BC shuts off out of nowhere, and ping pongs back and forth. Get messages saying drivetrain failure, steering failure go to the Dealer naturally. Nothing wrong. Nov 21, 2023

I had warranty work done on a trailer brake module on October 23, 2023. About 3 weeks after that it seemed like my transmission was a little rough. Then Nov. 6, I had several incidences where I was at a stop, and it felt like someone hit me from behind and lurch my truck forward a little bit. It seems very dangerous. In case someone in a crosswalk is walking in front of me I could possibly hit them up. My Ford diagnostic tells me that it is the electric transmission fluid pump. There was no warning no lights lit up on my dashboard warning me that this would happened. After I started the motor the next morning, the check engine light came on. The next day I drove it for a short time around the block and the check engine light was not on. I drove it straight to the dealership and made an appointment to take it in. I have read several articles and forums complaining about the exact same thing recently. It seems as if there should be a recall on this issue. Another issue since I’ve had the truck brand new in July 2023 is it always skipped second gear which kind of makes it a little rough starting off.

Nov 17, 2023

B&O sound system loud scary pops and static, Sync 4 screen goes blank while driving, also blank sometimes for minutes at startup, I have had it come on, watch the 360 camera begin to backup and look in the mirror the camera lags not showing the car behind me. Constant messages of steering failure, catalytic converter failure drivetrain failure dealer says nothing wrong.

failure of wiring protection. I have pictures. Signal lights failed. The problem could have caused a fire in the vehicle or a major malfunction. Dealer made a repair at the dealership. Messages on the driver display indicated a problem. The dealer rep. advised me that the wiring harnesses are manufactured with soy products!!! The result of this is that rodents chewed up the wiring to the point of failure of the lighting systems.

Upon pressing the start button the sound system put out an ear piercing pop and loud statis continued for 5 -10 minutes. Audio on/off and volume buttons were rendered ineffective, no response. Disconnected the negative on the battery with not effect. Static continued from all speakers. After 10 minutes tried to start the truckand system seemed to return to normal. Reported it to Ford Dealer said they haven't any idea what it is.

Aug 30, 2023

Started the vehicle and an extremely loud popping noise came through the speaker system, then a horribly loud and terrible staticky clicking sound continued for 15 minutes or so, even after turning off the vehicle, locking it, and walking away from it.

Aug 28, 2023

When turning on the radio, there was a very loud pop like a gunshot or firework going off in the cab followed by sustained white noise coming from the speaker system at full volume. The volume and radio buttons did not impact the volume of the sound requiring the driver to pull over, shut the vehicle off, and open the door in order to make the sound stop. The volume of the sound was loud enough that the driver was forced to release the steering wheel to plug their ears. Upon restart the vehicle produced the sound again.

Jul 31, 2023

Overview: Intermittent issue with audio system in vehicle making/playing EXTREMELY LOUD popping noise out of speakers randomly and with no warning. Sounds like someone is setting off explosions or a firearm inside the cabin, playing from all(?) or most of the speakers. Happens randomly and intermittently with no determinant cause. Might be driving, parked, etc.. sometimes it will be a month or so before it happens again, sometimes 2x a day. Cannot stress how loud it is when it does happen, hearing damage levels. Happened again today (7/31/23) while parked (truck running) with my 11mo son sleeping in the back (was just sitting in the parking lot waiting for him to wake up before heading into the store). He was absolutely terrified. Ford dealership service has looked into it before, but since we can't replicate the issue on command there doesn't seem to be much they can do. There are many reports online of other folks having the same issue. Safety: Aside from the loudness of the issue, this is a major safety hazard. The audio issue is so loud and unexpected that if it happened at the wrong time It could easily cause an accident. One doesn't expect to suddenly hear cannons going off when merging into traffic on the freeway, and it could result in erratic maneuvers as one makes a panic response to what sounds like gunfire. Problem has been unable to be replicated (in my case) at the dealer. Vehicle has been inspected/evaluated multiple times. No warning lamps/indicators/messages correspond to this, other than random and recurring issues with the infotainment system and other problems that seem ongoing.

Jul 31, 2023

Listed date as the date I caught issue on camera, but this has happened multiple times before and since. Numerous issues w/ infotainment system on 2022 F150 Powerboost Platinum. Backup cameras will load normally when put into reverse, but "freeze" once the vehicle starts moving. Still displays last image, however it's not updating nor does any of the sensors work at this point. Vehicle still drives/shifts normally, but no alerts or warnings indicate problem. It's easy enough to realize (at some point) that the screen is frozen, however there are numerous safety hazards that this presents. One Example: Imagine backing out of a tight spot in a parking lot. Your camera loads normally and you start backing up, watching your camera/sensors. It freezes, in the 3-4 seconds it takes for you to realize that you're no longer watching a live feed, a child runs behind your vehicle, Not good. Again, the backup sensors do not work at this point. Additionally the screen will stay frozen in this manner for some time, restarting the vehicle does nothing. At some point the entire system will crash and both the dash and center screen go black though the vehicle continues to operate though you no longer have speedometer or other dashboard indications as they are all digital. In this incident I captured the frozen screen on video, and after restarting the vehicle multiple times, I began to drive home. Shortly after getting onto the freeway, both screens went blank and audio issues began, I had to pull off of the freeway, turn the truck off and wait about 10 minutes for it to boot back up and begin to work normally. Ford service could not find any problems or reproduce issue. It has happened maybe 5 or 6 times so far in the year I've owned the truck. I've attached a .gif of the problem captured on video (Ford service has seen and notated the problem as well). I have a better quality video available for your review. Gif shows frozen reverse screen, while pulling forward in drive.

Sync 4 Screen will go blank while driving loosing rear camera 360 camera, all information. When starting sometimes the camera freezes makes you think a car behind you stopped when it is moving. Also, sometimes when you put on reverse. Nothing no screen, camera

Started vehicle and plugged phone im to play music/charge. Immediately, there was an incredible loud sound: it sounded almost like a gun shot. There was then a loud crackling sound which sounded like glass shattering. It scared me considerably. Thankfully I was parked. I shut the vehicle off and restarted. There was no more noise, but all audio ceased to work. Approximately 3 hours later, the problem went away when I went back put to start the vehicle. If this were to happen while traveling, especially in traffic, it could case a dangerous situation.

Jun 8, 2023

Opened door to truck, sat down, hit the start button and immediately following was a extremely loud popping noise followed by loud static. This is a hazard to adults driving and little ones with developing ear drums. Dealers refuse to see it when it happens, so when needing to make an appointment they can not duplicate it. No warning lamps or messages came on. There have been many complaints about this from other customers as well. Please address this matter.

May 30, 2023

While turning on my car, there was an extremely loud pop and deafening noise "exploding" in the truck cabin. If I had been driving at the time, the sudden and extreme noise would have caused me to react in a way to lose control of the vehicle. The noise was easy over 120db. It is been two hours since it happened and my ears are still hurting. I had to remove the radio fuse for this to stop. The issue has been reported to Ford by many users multiple times and no actions have been taken by Ford (see multiple cases here: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/extremely-loud-electrical-pop-followed-by-loud-static.9591/). There were not warning lamps or messages when this happened.

May 11, 2023

Stereo has extremely loud pop and static noise. Almost blew my water drums, including wife and kids. This is a known issue and Ford is not doing anything about it. Happened 3 times now / easily cause an accident when driving not mention blowing ear drums. I had to go to doctor to get checked out. Ears still ringing and having hard time hearing.

May 9, 2023

Vehicle B&O Unleashed sound system makes seemingly random BOOMs at full volume (>1000watt system) then a crackling and static sound as well. This is a health risk as my ears hurt 2 days afterward and were ringing no less than 2 hours. This is a safety risk as it seems like gunshots and I was panicked and almost wrecked. Others on forums have wrecked. Here is a description of the “event” this Saturday 5/6/23 Start truck, tiny popping sound, think little of it. Drive about 2 minutes then BOOM BOOM BOOM three speaker max volume blasts, then tweeters start to crackle and give that constant “static” sound. All tweeters continued for minutes. (video in middle of this) I stopped at a light, turned truck off and turned back on… no change sounds continue. Stopped at another light, turned truck off, opened door, then turned back on. The static stopped but crackles continued, upon restart static and crackles both continue. What was curious is that as I sped up the volume increased and decreased slightly when I slowed down, which is in line with the variable speed settings. I thought that was peculiar as it indicates some of the settings are still sending normal signals. Stopped, turned off truck, got out and closed door, and fifteen seconds later all sounds finally stopped (have video of this but too much data for NHTSA online portal system).

Apr 26, 2023

When starting the car there was a loud audio pop that transitioned into a deafening static sound that I could not stop. I had to drive 80 minutes to the dealer with the windows down so I didn’t end up with hearing damage. The stereo could not be turned down or off. The volume knob would turn but the level showed as though it were turned off. After 80 minutes of it my ears were ringing and still are. The dealer tells me I need some replacement “radio” module as they were unable to make the sound stop and leave the car safe to drive.

My 2022 F-150 4x4 Platinum Supercrew Powerboost full hybrid, about 11,500 miles, had no issues until about 6:30 PM 4/11/23, when I started the truck as normal. Immediately, a very loud explosion sound occurred followed by loud "sparks and crackles". The sound was painfully loud, but after 5-10 seconds the sound ended. Thereafter, the the audio system was unable to produce any sound in any app (audio, nav, phone, etc). In audio, the volume was shown as zero on the screen and continued to show zero on turning of the volume knob. Turning the audio system on and off and turning the vehicle on and off did not alter the problem; volume remained zero and the car was silent in all modes. Later that night, a couple hours after shutting the vehicle off, I restarted the vehicle and the audio was normal. This is dangerous and unacceptable.

Mar 15, 2023

Today I start my 2022 F150 Hybrid and I got a loud beep like something didn't work, and then the speaker started screaming at more than 100decibel. It was so loud I couldn't stay inside for more than 10s. I still feel sick after 30 min. I tried to stop / restart the car, the noise continues. I had to wait 30 min and when I re-started the noise stopped. I am VERY concerned about this problem regarding my young kid. If she was in the car at that time, she could have permanent erring loss. I went to my dealership and once again they said they need to see the problem do to anything. This unacceptable from Ford. Since that, I have ear protection near by... 2022 Ford F150, PowerBoost, Platinum, 9100 miles, Bang and Olufson 18 speaker stereo system. Got in the truck today and turned the truck on and instantly heard very loud, "electric crackling" noise. It took a few seconds to realize the noise was coming out of the speakers. I was not able to turn the noise off, with radio power button or by turning the truck off. I was perplexed, so I started a to record a video, (which I have). After another short period of time, 60 seconds? I realized the noise was only coming from the A Pillar tweeters and rear door speakers. I switched from SURROUND to STEREO and the noise finally turned off. My wife was afraid to ride home with me but we did with no issue after that (approximately 7 miles. I am reading on other Ford F150 website, this is a pretty common issue, that Ford has not been able to track down as of yet. Very scary. I have not been able to replicate, but I havent driven the truck again yet, to try and replicate. There were\are no warning lights or errors on the truck and I have all the latest updated software to my APIM and Sync.

Mar 8, 2023

Upon starting the truck an extremely loud deafening pop was heard through the speakers and then a very loud crackling/static noise. The stereo did not work after that. This has happened twice now on March 3, 2023 & March 8, 2023 and is so loud it makes your ears ring. I called the dealership & service rep stated they have not heard of this before. They could not get my truck in for at least a week or more due to back log of vehicles needing service in electrical service department. There was no warning lights sounds, this happens with no warning upon starting the truck.

Feb 22, 2023

All of the sudden and without any warning, an extremely loud bang followed by extremely loud buzzing and white noise sound comes from the stereo system. The bang sounded like a gun shot in my ear and the buzzing/white sound noise is louder than anything I've ever heard. It nearly caused me to run off the road when it first started and it took my breath away and caused my heart to beat rapidly. I had to immediately pull over and get out of the vehicle as the sound was unbearable. There was no way to turn it down or off. It eventually stopped a few minutes after the vehicle was turned off. I tried to restart it a number of times and the sound immediately started again. After the vehicle sat for a few hours, the vehicle started without issue. My ears rang for 4-5 days after this incident. Safety was put at risk by way of ear damage and nearly crashing the vehicle when it first happened. I also had to pull off on the side of the road to exit the vehicle. I have not taken the vehicle to a dealer yet but will do so. It has not been inspected by anyone. There are no warning lights, error messages, etc. This is the second time this has happened. The first time it stopped on its own after about 10 seconds.

Loud pop noise from radio static no sound

Jan 17, 2023

The speakers in the car all "pop" and a high static/whine pitch plays out of all speakers. It does not stop unless you turn off the car and open a door to completely turn off the car. I have videos to document the noise.

I have B&O Unleashed sounds system in my 2022 F-150 Platinum. Went out to work, no issues with sound. Auto-Started the truck, & came back out to my truck after grabbing some documents from my office for an offsite meeting.. Pressed the start button when I unlocked & sat down in the drivers seat, & an extrmely loud "pop" occured. Wasn't sure what it was. But then tried to make a call using Bluetooth Connection to my cellular phone, & there was no ring tone, or audio when the other end picked up the call. I then tried turning the radio up after the failed call, & the radio sound stopped working. First time that's ever happened. Restarts didn't help. Drove to my meeting in silence. Read online that sometime pulling out fuse 28 & putting it right back in resolves the issue. Performed those tasks, & the radio/sound system is working properly. Performing those tasks is not easy, as it's in the lower exterior feet area of the front passenger seating area. Especially difficult being blind in my righ eye as well.

Upon pressing the start button a loud deafening sound emits from the speakers. Followed by loud crackling and static. Happens at least once a month. Issue began about a month after I purchased the vehicle Additionally, deploy on their own while vehicle is off and key fob is not near the vehicle.

Tonight when I started my truck there was a loud pop sound that came from the sound system. The stereo then had no volume with any source. I shut down the vehicle and restarted it. As soon as it turned on again, the sound system had incredibly loud static coming from every speaker. My ears were ringing and when I screamed to my eight year old to get out of the truck, she could not hear me. I tried to turn the truck on and off multiple times and I eventually had to abandon it and take my wife’s car. I have a video that shows my truck was turned off and the sound system would not stop making the awful noise. I just can’t attach it to this report.

1. The back up brake assistant is not working. This has been defective since August 2022. It caused me to have an accident running into a post, filing an insurance claim for repairs. I have taken it to 2 different Ford dealers for service and to get the back up brake fixed. No resolve from FORD. 2. In September 2022 my F150 started going into low power mode then eventually into deep sleep mode. The battery was replaced at FORD. Now on 11/15/22 and 11/16/22 the vehicle went into low power mode and deep sleep mode again.

As soon as I pressed the start button, an extremely loud and shrill sound came from every speaker. Horn also started blaring. All speakers continued to crackle, pop, and scream until I pressed the ignition button again and opened the drivers door. I was able to prevent it from happening again by removing fuse #28. My ears are still ringing 8 hours later and may have permanent hearing loss. This will absolutely destroy a child’s hearing.

Stereo system went to max volume with static and clicking, extremely loud. Volume control and power switch had no effect.

Just as I left the driveway at my house, I heard what sounded like an explosion and shattering glass. My truck stereo had incredibly loud static that hurt my ears. The volume knob stopped responding and I could not make the sound stop. I turned off my ignition and then opened the driver’s door. That stopped the sound. As soon as I turned on the truck again, the noise resumed. I was only able to stop the sound by changing the input from CarPlay to FM radio. Had this happened outside of my neighborhood, I could have been involved in a crash because the sound was so loud and disorienting. The stereo would not turn off at all. I am making a service appointment to have the truck looked at. Other F150 owners have indicated dealerships have been unable to duplicate/solve this issue. There were no warnings or error messages.

Loud pop followed by loud static from all speakers on start. Turned vehicle off and problem persisted until battery was disconnected.

When I got into my truck and pressed the start button, there was an extremely loud popping noise that appeared to be coming from the sound system. It was so loud that it caused ringing in my ears. I immediately attempted to shut off the truck, but the noise continued. I opened the door to exit the vehicle, and the loudest noises stopped, but a static sound remained. I got out, shut the door, and locked and unlocked the vehicle several times before the noises stopped. It has now happened to me on two separate occasions. Rear speakers now sound like they're blown and have a terrible rattle. I contacted my dealer, Bluebonnet Forn in New Braunfels Texas, and was told that there have been numerous reports of this type o event but they have no idea what s causing it and it'll take them 4-5 days before they can even look at my truck.
