AFTER PARKING THE TRUCK, TURNING OFF THE IGNITION, AND WALKING AWAY, SOME SOUNDS WERE HEARD COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. UPON LOOKING BACK, SMOKE WAS OBSERVED COMING FROM THE HOOD AREA. WHEN THE HOOD WAS OPENED, FIRE ERUPTED. IT IS NOT KNOWN IF THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY FUEL OR ELECTRICAL FAILURE. RESULT WAS TOTAL LOSS OF UNDERHOOD SOFT GOODS. *AK

FUEL PUMP CHECK VALVE FAILURE CAUSES FUEL FROM ONE TANK TO BE RETURNED TO SECOND TANK. THIS CAUSES SECOND TANK TO EXCEED ITS CAPACITY, RESULTING IN SPILLAGE.
