customer states that the frame of the vehicle has been compromised by corrosion. the vehicle only has 163,844 miles on it and it has major holes in the frame. The chassis could break in half prohibiting the use of this vehicle on the roadway due to the safety of occupants. I advised the customer of this of which they bought a frame repair kit (Pre-cut over frame c-channel steel) to weld onto the frame to support a longer lifespan. The truck is now safe for the roadway.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while parking the vehicle, the vehicle rolled backwards. The contact shifted the gear shifter into park and turned off the vehicle; however, the vehicle rolled backwards again. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that upon inspecting under the hood, the contact became aware that the shifter cable had melted. The contact purchased a new shifter cable and replaced the shifter cable. The vehicle was started and driven to the residence. In addition, the contact stated that the failure had occurred at night, which was dangerous for being on the side of the road. The contact stated that the shifter cable had melted again within 12 hours. The contact stated that the failure was the result of a design flaw. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 260,000.

I don't even have 150,000 miles on this thing. I get it serviced regularly. I've used the 4x4 when needed, as I live in the Sierra Nv Mountains area. I don't overdo it, I don't abuse it. One day with "ZERO" Clues or indications my truck popped out of drive into neutral ON ITS OWN I put it back into drive. Then as I tried to accelerate NOTHING, I got a code/msg saying faulty transmission, my O/D kept turning off and on. I pushed it to the side if the road. I eventually got reverse back, 1st gear, but that's it. And NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. Its Automatically you need a transmission. [XXX]!! You go online and this is happening to TONS of people. Are you saying WE ALL NEED NEW TRANSMISSIONS?? Kinda odd same trucks, same issues on the same part. What's the common denominator here ford??? Your [XXX] transmissions. Figure it out!!! My truck is paid off and I can't even drive the [XXX]. I'm walking because of a [XXX] transmission, on top of paying over 20,000 you want me to dish out another 3grand for your [XXX]?? Nah... Figure it the [XXX] out. Take care of your customers as you should!!! Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking. Come on Ford. I BOUGHT USED CASH TRUCK, DROVE FINE FOR FIRST DAY, SECOND DAY WHILE TRUCK WAS IN MOTION AND PUT IN REVERSE IT DIES, TOOK A COUPLE TURNS TO STARTED UP AND IT STARTED CODING THE CAMSAFT SENSORS, GOT CODES CLEARED, AND IT DROVE OK FOR 30 MINUTES COATED AGAIN STARTED TO STALL AND STUTTER A BIT. I HEARD A LOT ABOUT FORDS IN THE CAMSHAFT SENSORS DOES THAT MEAN MY TRUCK IS DONE FOR. MY TRUCK HAS TO CAMSHAFT SENSORS. 5.4

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S FRAME WAS CORRODED, WHICH CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION LINE TO BECOME DEFECTIVE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TRANSMISSION LINE WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE MECHANIC THAT, DUE TO THE CORROSION, OTHER PARTS OF THE VEHICLE COULD BECOME DEFECTIVE. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,000.

1. BRAKE DOT 3 IS RUNNING OUT AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS. WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE KEEPS GOING. IN ORDER TO KEEP THE VEHICLE RUNNING, I MUST PUSH DOWN THE BRAKE VERY HARD TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY REFILL THE OIL TANK. 2. WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE SPEED REACHES AT AROUND 45-65 MPH, THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY LOSES POWER AND HIT AT 3-5 MPH BEFORE STOPPING. AFTER I COMPLETELY TURN OFF AND RESET THE BATTERY, THE VEHICLE STARTS NORMAL AGAIN. THE VEHICLE HAPPENED FROM 2009 TO CURRENT TIME, BUT THE ODB SCAN DOES NOT DETECT ANY CODE OR ERRORS.

IN 2010, THE TRANSMISSION FLUID SPILLED AND THE GASKET, FILTERS, AND SPARK PLUGS WERE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE OVER 40 MPH AND VIBRATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN UP HILL WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED. CPSC;2005 FORD F-150 TRANSMISSION AND MOTOR WENT OUT AT 89446 MILES. A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED, THE VEHICLES PERFORMANCE WAS NOT INDICATIVE OF HAVING BEEN AT A REPAIR SHOP. THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED. THE CONSUMER WAS THEN INFORMED THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT WAS ALSO DETERMINED THE INITIAL REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED WITH SALVAGED/USED PARTS. *JB

TRUCK WAS BOUGHT AND I REPLACED ALL SPARK PLUGS AND EVEN HAD TO REPLACE A CLINOID BECAUSE WAS TOLD THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. ITS NOT... THERE IS A BALL VALVE IN THE TRANSMISSION THAT KEEPS THE TRUCK FROM BUILDING ENOUGH PRESSURE TO BE ABLE TO SHIFT WHICH THROWS A CODE AND SAYS MISFIRE ON 6 BEEN REPLACED TWICE NOW SO CLEARLY NOT THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE.. TRUCK FEELS AS IF FIXING TO FIE THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON START FLASHING BUT THROW NO CODES AND YOU CANT SPEED BACK UP BECAUSE IT FEELS LIKE YOUR TRUCK IS ABOUT TO DIE AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BLOW YOUR MOTOR.

TO REPAIR THIS, IT'S AROUND $3,000 AND ALSO I HAVE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH ALL 8 COILS WHICH HAD TO BE REPLACED FOR $1,200 AND A KNOWN MISFIRE. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY FORD MOTOR IS AWARE OF THE ONGOING ISSUES IN THIS YEAR TRUCK AND HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. ALSO IF THE CAM PHASERS ARE NOT REPLACED THE ENGINE WILL BLOW!

I WAS DRIVING AND HEARD A SOUND COME FROM MY ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I DIDN'T LOSE POWER, BUT PULLED OVER TO LOOK UNDER THE HOOD. NOT NOTICING ANYTHING OBVIOUS I CHECKED THE FLUID LEVELS AND NOTICED THAT MY TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS LOW. IT HAD BEEN CHECKED TWO MONTHS PRIOR DURING OIL CHANGE. I HAD NO VISIBLE SIGNS OF LEAKS. I FOUND A FORUM ON THE INTERNET THAT TALKED ABOUT TRANSMISSION FLUID GOING FROM THE TRANSMISSION TO THE TRANSFER CASE, BUT UNABLE TO RETURN. THEY HAD A $20 SEAL REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FORUM HAD STATED THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN CONDITION BUT NOTHING WAS BEING DONE BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY. A MECHANIC HAD SAID THAT IT ONLY EFFECTED 17-18% OF VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 2004-2008. I CALLED TWO LOCAL DEALERSHIPS AND THEY KNEW THE PROBLEM BUT SAID THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON IT. IT TAKES APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS TO CHANGE, BY DROPPING THE TRANSFER CASE AND REPLACING THE SEAL. I CALLED FORD MOTOR COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WASN'T A RECALL AND THAT THEY COULDN'T HELP. I FEEL THAT THIS COULD RESULT IN A PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE TRANSMISSION AND POSSIBLY A CATASTROPHIC EVENT. I WAS TOLD BY FMC REP THAT SHOULD A RECALL OCCUR I COULD TAKE MY RECEIPT TO A DEALERSHIP AND THAT THEY WOULD POSSIBLY REIMBURSE ME. I DON'T FEEL THAT FORD SHOULD HAVE A KNOWN CONDITION BUT DO NOTHING TO CORRECT IT. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS FOR ME AND OTHERS UNDER THE SAME SITUATION.

ON THE MORNING OF MARCH 5TH 2015 I STARTED MY TRUCK TO WARM THE INSIDE AND ALSO MELT THE SNOW OFF MY WINDSHIELD. I GOT IN THE TRUCK AND BACKED OUT AWAY FROM HOUSE. DUE TO HAVING SNOW ON THE DRIVEWAY I TURNED ON THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE IN HIGH. MY FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WOULD NOT WORK SO I TRIED TO SWICTH TO 2 WHEEL DRIVE BACK TO FOUR WHEEL DRIVE BUT THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WOULD NOT TURN ON. I GRABBED THE GEAR SHIFT TO PUT THE TRUCK BACK IN PARK WHEN I NOTICED MY GEAR SHIFT COULD FLOAT TO PARK TO 1ST GEAR FREELY AND WOULD NOT SHIFT. AT THIS TIME I NOTICED SMOKE STARTING TO COME INSIDE CAB FROM UNDER DASH AND THRU THE VENTS. I JUMPED OUT AND OPENED THE HOOD. A 1 FOOT SECTION OF A WIRING HARNES MOUNTED TO THE FIREWALL HAD CAUGHT FIRE. I MADE ATTEMPTS TO PUT OUT THE FIRE BUT WITHIN A FEW SECONDS THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS ENGULFED. IN 2 TO 3 MINUTES THE ENTIRE INSIDE OF THE CAB WAS ALSO COMPLETELY ON FIRE. MY WIFE WHO WAS WATCHING ME IMMEDIATLY CALLED 911 TO GET THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. AFTER 3 MINUTES THE TRUCK WAS ALREADY A TOTAL LOSE. DUE TO THE TRUCK BEING ONLY 60' FROM MY HOUSE AND BURNING SO HOT I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT MY HOUSE CATCHING FIRE. TWO GENTLEMAN FROM THE RESCUE SQUAD ARRIVED BUT IT WAS TOO LATE FOR ANYTHING TO BE DONE. I WAS ABLE TO GET A BACKHOE AND PUT THE FIRE OUT WITH SNOW. UNFORTUNATELY I HAD LIABILITY INSURANCE ONLY WHICH MEANT A TOTAL LOSE. I NEVER DREAMED THAT THE TRUCK WOULD BURN UP SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY!!!! I KNOW THERE HAVE BEEN SOME RECALLS FOR F150 DUE TO FIRE HAZARDS WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL FOR OTHER YEAR MODEL CLOSE TO 2005. A VEHICLE CATCHING FIRE WHILE ITS SITTING IN A DRIVEWAY RUNNING IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. THE TRUCK WAS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AND HAD NO AFTER MARKET PARTS OR WORK PERFORMED. I HAVE NO IDEAL WHY THE WIRING HARNESS CAUGHT FIRE.

I JUST WANTED TO ADD MY VEHICLE TO THE LIST OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE DIFFERENTIAL. MINE MAKES NOISE AND HAS MADE NOISE FOR QUITE SOME TIME. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE TIRES OR ROTORS. I FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS COMING DIRECTLY FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. BASED ON THE COMPLAINTS I HAVE HEARD, I AM PRETTY SURE THIS IS THE SAME THING. THE NOISE SOUNDS LIKE METAL RUNNING ON METAL. 2005 F150 GOES INTO "FAIL SAFE MODE" AND SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING. IT ONLY OCCURRED ONCE PER YEAR STARTING AT 65,000 MILES, BUT NOW HAPPENS EVERY 3-4 WEEKS AT 114,000 MILES. ONCE THE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN, I PUT THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL WHILE COASTING AND IT RESTARTS EASILY. THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATES FOR 3-4 DAYS AND THEN TURNS OFF. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO THE FORD DEALER WHO THEN BROKE 6 OUT OF 8 PLUGS UPON REMOVAL AT AN EXTRA COST OF 80 DOLLARS A PIECE. THE TUNE UP WHICH ONLY INCLUDES THE REMOVAL OFF THE OLD AND THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEWLY DESIGNED ONE PIECE SPARK PLUGS ENDED UP COSTING ME 1000 DOLLARS. AROUND MIDDAY WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, I HEARD A VIBRATION COMING FROM THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. I DROVE A FEW BLOCKS BACK TO MY OFFICE AND THE VEHICLE SAT UNTIL I LEFT TO GO HOME LATER THAT DAY. A FEW BLOCKS FROM MY OFFICE ALSO WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, I HEARD A LOUDER VIBRATION AND THIS TIME A METAL ON METAL CLANKING SOUND. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OFF INTO A PARKING AREA AND LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE TO SEE THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT HAD FALLEN FROM ITS CENTER MOUNT. THE TWO PIECE DRIVE SHAFT CARRIER BEARING MOUNTING BRACKET HAD FAILED DUE TO CORROSION OF THE MOUNTING BRACKET CAUSING THE DRIVE SHAFT TO NO LONGER BE MOUNTED TO THE FRAME. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ON A CITY STREET DRIVING AND ONLY DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH AND NOT AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHERE I COULD HAVE LOSS DRIVER CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. LESS THAN A YEAR EARLIER, THE VEHICLE FAILED A STATE SAFETY INSPECTION DUE TO AN EXCESSIVELY CORRODED STEERING SHAFT U JOINT. THE MECHANIC SAID THIS U JOINT COULD FAIL DURING DRIVING CAUSING LOSS OF DRIVER CONTROL. EITHER OF THESE COMPONENT PART FAILURE COULD HAVE CAUSED LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL, AN ACCIDENT AND INJURY OR DEATH TO MYSELF, MY PASSENGERS OR OTHERS IN OTHER VEHICLES OR ON OR NEAR THE ROADWAY. TRUCK WOULD IDLE EXTREMELY BAD, WHEN YOU CUT IT OFF IT WOULDN'T START. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2010. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO FIRESTONE AND THEY RUN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHICH AT THE TIME DID NOT SHOW THE THROTTLE BODY PROBLEM BECAUSE THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT WAS NOT ON AT THE TIME. HOWEVER, FIRESTONE REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER, DID A TUNE UP AND REPLACED THE BATTERY AND REMOVED THE GAS TANK TO CLEAN IT BUT THIS STILL DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND THIS COST ME $369. AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN A MAJOR HIGHWAY IN SOUTH CAROLINA, I FELT LIKE MY TRANSMISSION MIGHT BE SLIPPING IN MY 2005 FORD F-150. I TOOK IT IMMEDIATELY TO A LOCAL AND REPUTABLE MECHANIC WHO TESTED THE TRANSMISSION AND SUBSEQUENTLY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS THE ENGINE, SPECIFICALLY THE SPARK PLUGS. IN THEIR INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT 4 OF MY 8 SPARK PLUGS WERE BROKEN. THEY HAD TO USE A SPECIAL TOOL, DEVELOPED BY FORD JUST FOR THIS "PROBLEM", IN ORDER TO EXTRACT THE BROKEN PLUGS. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT FORD SHOULD HAVE TO RECALL THESE OR FORCED TO REIMBURSE CONSUMERS FOR THE EXPENSIVE REPAIRS DUE TO A DESIGN ERROR. UPON RESEARCHING ON-LINE, I WAS TOTALLY AMAZED AT HOW MANY AND HOW MUCH A PROBLEM PEOPLE HAVE HAD WITH THESE PLUGS AND THE CONSUMER IS PAYING FOR THEIR DEFECT. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. WHILE DRIVING, THE VACUUM SOLENOID FOR THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRIES TO ENGAGE THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE - EVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS- RESULTING IN A HORRIBLE SOUND. I CURRENTLY OWN A 2005 FORD F-150 4X4 SUPERCREW TRUCK AND HAVE STARTED EXPERIENCING SOME GRINDING/ PULLING IN THE TRANSMISSION. I FIRST THOUGHT IT WOULD PROBABLY JUST GO AWAY AND NOW IT JUST GETS WORSE EACH TIME. THE PROBLEM CREATES A RATHER LOUD NOISE AND HAS GREATLY CONCERNED ME. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK, RIVERTOWN FORD/ COLUMBUS,GA, AND I DISCOVERED THAT THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE WIDE SPREAD WITH THE F-150. DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F150. THE CONTACT STATES THAT THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WHILE DRIVING UP A HILL THE VEHICLE WILL ROLL BACK. ALSO, WHEN DRIVING DOWN A HILL THE VEHICLE WILL ROLL BACK AS WELL. IN ADDITION, TRANSMISSION IS MAKING A CLANKING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES, AND THEY WOULD LIKE TO FIX THE VEHICLE, BUT THEY CONTACTED FORD. THE DEALERSHIP SPOKE WITH THE REGIONAL FORD REPRESENTATIVE, WHO TOLD THEM THIS WAS NORMAL FOR THE VEHICLE ALTHOUGH NONE OF THE OTHER TRUCKS HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. THE CONTACT TEST DROVE A 1999 MODEL AND DROVE IT THE SAME PLACES WHERE SHE EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM ,AND THAT VEHICLE DID NOT EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP WAS GOING TO TEAR THE VEHICLE APART TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT BECAUSE THEY TEST DROVE IT AS WELL AND NOTICED THE PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT AND GETS WORSE.*AK *NM

ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE IN CITY TRAFFIC, WHENEVER I SLOW DOWN AND THEN ACCELERATE, THERE IS A AT LEAST ONE OR MORE BUMPS OR JERKS SEEMING TO COME FROM THE TRANSMISSION OR DRIVE TRAIN. EVER SINCE DELIVERY OF VEHICLE (2005 FORD F150 LARIAT 4WD), VEHICLE "SHUTTERS" OR "JERKS" ON ACCELERATION FROM A COMPLETE STOP. INITIALLY THERE WAS ALSO SOME "POPPING" ON TURNING AND ACCELERATION, WHICH WAS FIXED BY THE DEALERSHIP. THE SHUTTERING HAS BEEN FIXED, BUT AFTER 3 REPAIR ATTEMPS, THE TRUCK CONTINUES TO JUMP/JERK ON ACCELERATION FROM A COMPLETE STOP. THE DEALERSHIP STATES THIS IS NORMAL, BUT THE DRIVELINE ONLY JERKS WHEN IN 2WD MODE - IT DOES NOT JERK IN 4WD. TO GET THE SHUTTERING TO STOP, FORD INSTALLED A SHIM KIT TO ALIGN THE DRIVELINE, WHICH THEY STATE IS A PROBLEM THEY FINALLY FOUND. *JB

I PURCHASED F150 LARIAT FROM LEIF JOHNSON FORD IN AUSTIN OCT 2004. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING TROUBLE WITH THE TRUCK NOT WANTING TO COME OUT OF PARK. YOU CAN PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE ALL DAY LONG AND TRY TO PUSH THE BUTTON IN TO MOVE THE GEAR AND NOTHING HAPPENS. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES IN THE PAST MONTH TRYING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. LAST FRIDAY 8-05-05 THEY CHANGED OUT THE COMPLETE GEAR SHIFT THINKING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ON THAT SATURDAY 8-06-05 AND AGAIN 8-07-05,8-08-05 IN WHICH I RETURNED TO FORD.*JB

DT: THE CONSUMER STATED 2005 FORD F150 SURGED FORWARD. IT FELT LIKE CRUISE CONTROL KICKED IN. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND DEALERSHIP CALLED FORD, AND THEY HAD THE ACCELERATOR CHIP REALIGNED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS FIXED THE SURGING CONTINUED. HE CONTINUED TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND FORD. ACCORDING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE THE ENGINEERS SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. CONSUMER WAS CURRENTLY AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, SO WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN LAST WEEK, AND THEY KEPT IT FOR A WEEK, AND THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. ON THE WAY HOME TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND SURGED FORWARD. DEALERSHIP AND THE MANUFACTURER KEPT TELLING HIM TO CALL THE OTHER. CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT DEALERSHIP AT LEAST FIVE TIMES, AND GOT A DIFFERENT SERVICE MANAGER EVERY TIME. DT: THERE IS A LOUD CLANKING NOISE IN THE REAR END WHEN TAKING OFF AND WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. IT JUMPS SO BAD SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND LET IT COOL OFF BEFORE RESUMING RIDE. WHILE SHIFTING THE VEHICLE INTO PARK AND GETTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE WENT INTO REVERSE. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO GET BACK INTO THE VEHICLE AND STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THE TRUCK WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION LEVEL LINKAGE. *SC *JB
