AC electric wiring becomes hot and only blows at 1 speed, also with time has become corroded diplaying a live open wire under passanger area, seems it is the following Block Heater Cable Splice Connector May Corrode Prolonged corrosion of the connector may cause a resistive short, overheating or melting the wiring and increasing the risk of a fire. safety recall 19V048 below Also I can not find an open recall for the following issue my vehicle still has now that I researched it, it is a recall and my ford has not been fixed inregards to the following, Block Heater Cable Splice Connector May Corrode THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE HOUSING EMBOSSMENT RETAINING THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE SPRING MAY FRACTURE DURING NORMAL USAGE RESULTING IN INSUFFICIENT SPRING FORCE TO RETURN THE HANDLE TO THE FULLY STOWED POSITION.

There's been recalls on the 2009 Ford f150 and my car is having hydraulic pump issues and a couple other issues that were recalled and I was just trying to get some assistance?

Same old fuse issue, with only 56,000 miles. Ford is aware, they have a kit to by pass the problem, how ever they will not pay for repair (no recall). Cost almost $500.00 to fix their poor design issue. Buyers beware.

Fuel pump fuse failed. Known issue under TSB-15-0137. Failure of the fuel pump at speed can result in a dangerous situation. I feel this should be covered under recall as the attached picture clearly shows an electrical overload condition.

VEHICLE DIED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET. ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER BUT NOT FIRE. HAD TO BE TOWED TO FORD DEALER AT COST OF $90. WAS ADVISED BY DEALER SERVICE THAT THE PROBLEM WAS FUSE 27 MELTED AND DAMAGED THE FUSE BOX. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR F-150 VEHICLES FOR YEARS 2009 - 2014. TSB 15-0137 WAS ISSUED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2015 BUT NO RECALL WAS ISSUED. COST TO REPAIR WAS $466 OUT OF MY POCKET. FOR A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH SIX MODEL YEARS THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL. JUST GLAD I WAS NOT ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

PROBLEM 1: MY TRUCKS TRACTION CONTROL ENGAGES ON SNOW AND THROWS THE WHEELS INTO A SLIDE RATHER THAN STABILIZES THE VEHICLE. I TURN SWAY AND/OR TRACTION CONTROL OFF AND IT TURNS ITSELF BACK ON WHENEVER I STOP AND THEN GET BACK IN AND RESTART THE TRUCK. PROBLEM 2: THIS TRUCK WILL NOT GIVE AN ACCURATE READ ON GAS IN THE TANK AS THE NEEDLE IS ALWAYS GETTING STUCK. I GAUGE BY MILES GONE AS TO WHEN I NEED GAS. (JUST STOPPED TO GET GAS THOUGHT I WAS OUT BUT NEEDLE WENT OVER 1/2 WHICH IS WHAT I PUT IN.) BUT THERE ARE MORE ELECTRICAL ISSUES SUCH AS THE DOORS THAT UNLOCK DURING THE NIGHT WHEN I HAVE LOCKED ALL DOORS, BY MORNING ONE OR MORE DOORS OFTEN ON PASSENGER SIDE UNLOCK THEMSELVES. AND SYNC ALWAYS DOES IT'S OWN THING WITH MY IPHONE X, NEVER KNOW IF IT WILL CONNECT OR BE DISCONNECTED WHILE DRIVING. SOMETIMES IT GOES FROM HANDS FREE ANSWER IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION TO SUDDENLY IN PRIVACY MODE. THESE PROBLEMS ARE WHILE IN MOTION AND SOMETIMES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED. PROBLEM 3: TRUCK SPEEDOMETER IS VERY DIFFICULT TO READ DUE TO HASH MARKS FOR SPEED INSTEAD OF NUMBERS AT 20, 40, 60, ETC SPEEDS. NEARLY GOT A TICKET FOR LOOKING DOWN TOO LONG TO READ MY DISPLAY. STARTING TO HATE THIS TRUCK AS I NEVER KNOW WHAT IT WILL DO OR NOT DO. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS IT IS A CONSISTENT DISTRACTION. SO MUCH FOR SAFETY DUE TO TECHNOLOGY. IF OTHERS HAVE THESE ISSUES WELL IT'S NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE DRIVING SO BADLY NOW.

DRIVING ON A CITY STREET WHEN THE ENGINE SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN AND QUIT RUNNING. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SEMI TRUCK AND ONLY AVOIDED A MAJOR ACCIDENT BECAUSE I HAD ROOM TO GO TO THE RIGHT AND THE SEMI HAD ROOM TO SWERVE AROUND ME ON THE LEFT. WHEN I HAD IT TOWED TO THE FORD DEALER THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS A MELTED FUSE BUT THAT THEY WERE ALREADY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND HAD A "FIX" KIT IN STOCK AND THE REPAIR PROCESS ALREADY DOCUMENTED TO REROUTE THAT FUSE. THIS MEANS THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND I PRESUME WAS JUST WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE BEFORE ISSUING A RECALL.I HAVE THE REPAIR ORDER AVAILABLE IF NEEDED. WHEN I CONTACTED FORD DIRECTLY THEY INFORMED ME THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THEREFORE I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE $650.00 COST AND DID NOT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A MAJOR ACCIDENT WHEN THE ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPS RUNNING.

FUSE 8 WAS ALSO CAUSING PROBLEMS AND IT HAS BEEN REPLACED. WE HAVE SINCE LEARNED OF THE SERVICE BULLETIN. IT IS A PROBLEM WE FEEL SHOULD BE COVERED BY FORD WHICH HAS BEEN QUOTED AS BETWEEN 250$ AND 300$. WE ARE REQUESTING A VOUCHER FOR REPAIR BE SENT TO OUR LOCAL DEALER FOR THE REPAIR. SOMEONE CAME RUNNING INTO THE STORE AND YELLED THERE IS A GREEN FORD F 150 ON FIRE IN THE PARKING LOT. WE RAN OUT TO SEE THE TRUCK UP IN FLAMES. AFTER THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT THE CAB HAD MELTED AND ALL THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DRIVERS SIDE.WAS BURNED AND MELTED. THE WINDSHIELD HAD. RACKED AND BROKEN IN MANY PIECES FROM THE HOT FIRE. HAD AAA TOW THE TRUCK TO A AUTO REPAIR SHOP. IT WAS TOTALED CALLED FORD CO AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE HAD NO COMPLAINTS OF A SPONTANEOUS FIRE WITH THESE TRUCKS. APPROACHING AN YELLOW LIGHT AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH I HIT THE GAS PEDAL HARD FOR PASSING GEAR. THE ACCELERATOR STUCK, THE ENGINE ROARING, I HAD TO STEP AS HARD AS POSSIBLE TO STOP THE TRUCK SO I WOULD NOT HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. ENGINE WOULD NOT STOP ACCELERATING FORCING ME TO TURN OFF THE TRUCK. SHOCKED, I SAT IN TRAFFIC FOR A MOMENT BEFORE I RESTARTED THE ENGINE, BUT IT IMMEDIATELY WENT TO FULL SPEED AGAIN, FORCING ME TO AGAIN TURN OFF THE ENGINE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE COMBINATION LOCK AND KEY FOB FAILED TO UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE WAS ABLE TO START THE ENGINE BUT WAS UNABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE SINCE THE TRANSMISSION WAS LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN INSTRUCTED THAT AS A TEMPORARY REMEDY, HE SHOULD REMOVE THE POSITIVE CHARGE CABLE FROM THE BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK, IN ORDER TO RE-START THE COMPUTER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE HOWEVER, HE STATED THAT THERE WAS A LOSS OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE BODY MODULE AND THE COMPUTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 34,500.

I BOUGHT A PREOWNED 2009 FORD F-150 IN NOVEMBER 2011 WITH 49000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. I HAD ALWAYS COMPLAINED THE INSTRUMENT GAUGES WERE DIFFICULT TO SEE. I FINALLY INVESTIGATED AND REALIZED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IS NOT ILLUMINATED UNDER DAYLIGHT CONDITIONS. IT IS ONLY ILLUMINATED WHEN THE PARKING LIGHTS OR HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. THE ONLY WAY TO GET ILLUMINATION DURING DAYLIGHT IS TO COVER THE LIGHT SENSOR THUS SIMULATING DARKNESS. THIS,HOWEVER, ONLY ILLUMINATES THE GAUGES AT THE LOWER SETTING FOR NIGHTTIME DRIVING. THE DIMMER KNOB/WHEEL IS OPERATIONAL BUT DOES NOT INCREASE ILLUMINATION TO THE LEVEL EXPECTED FOR DAYLIGHT DRIVING. THERE ARE AT LEAST TWO OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEBSITE REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER LIKE COMPLAINTS ON OTHER WEBSITES. AFTER THE ONBOARD COMPUTER SYSTEM DETECTED A FAULT FROM THE ABS SENSORS (REAR WHEELS WERE 17" AND FRONTS WERE 18" SO REARS TURNED FASTER THAN FRONTS), THE DRIVE-BY-WIRE (ACCELERATION) SOFTWARE SUDDENLY LIMITED ME TO THE SPEED AT WHICH I WAS TRAVELING AT THE TIME: 50MPH. EVEN THOUGH I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR, I GOT NO FURTHER ACCELERATION. LIGHTS AND WARNINGS ON THE DASH INDICATED AN ABS AND BRAKE PROBLEM; THERE WERE NO SUCH PROBLEMS. AT THE TIME OF THE "OVERRIDE", I WAS ABOUT TO MERGE INTO FREEWAY TRAFFIC TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 20MPH FASTER THAN I WAS MOVING THUS LEADING TO THE PROBABILITY OF A REAR END COLLISION. I MOVED CLOSER TO THE SHOULDER AND (WILD GUESS) PUSHED THE BUTTON FOR SKID CONTROL (?)--TWO SQUIGGLY LINES ON THE BUTTON. HAD THE OVERRIDE OCCURRED 4-5 SECONDS LATER, I WOULD LIKELY HAVE BEEN INJURED. I HAD INSTALLED 18" WHEELS ON THE FRONT WITH THE INTENT OF INSTALLING 18" WHEELS ON THE BACK THE NEXT DAY. THE VEHICLE CAME WITH 17" WHEELS. I HAD DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 20 MILES WITH THAT 18-17 CONFIGURATION BEFORE I EXPERIENCED THE WARNINGS AND CORRESPONDING SPEED LIMITATION. DRIVE-BY-WIRE MEANS DRIVE-BY-SOFTWARE. SOMEONE MADE MY DRIVING DECISIONS FOR ME AND THOSE COULD HAVE RESULTED IN MY INJURY OR DEATH. I WAS ENTERING AN ON-RAMP ONTO THE INTERSTATE AND ACCELERATING AT THE TIME. AS I WAS NEARING THE END OF THE RAMP, I FELT THE TRUCK WAS TRAVELING FASTER THAN I HAD INTENDED. I REMOVED MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR ONLY TO HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING AND WATCHED THE SPEEDOMETER CONTINUE TO CLIMB. I WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 80-85 MPH BY THE TIME I WAS ENTERING THE INTERSTATE APPROACHING A TRACTOR TRAILER TRUCK. I STOOD WITH BOTH FEET, STRAIGHT LEGGED WITH 130 POUNDS ON THE BRAKE WHILE NOT ONLY TRYING TO AVOID THE TRACTOR TRAILER IN FRONT OF ME, BUT WATCHING ANOTHER TRACTOR TRAILER APPROACHING ME FROM BEHIND. MY SPEED CONTINUED TO CLIMB AS THE ACCELERATOR REMAINED STUCK. AFTER APPROXIMATELY HALF A MILE OF ME STANDING ON THE BRAKE, I HEARD A LOUD BANG AS THE ACCELERATOR LET GO AND MY BRAKING TOOK EFFECT. I TOOK IT TO THE CLOSEST FORD DEALERSHIP WHO "COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THE PEDDLE MUST HAVE BEEN STUCK ON THE FLOORMAT". I WA TRAVELING ON I-20 EAST TRAVELING FROM VICKSBURG, MS HEADING TO ATLANTA, GA. I HAD BEEN USING THE CRUISE CONTROL CONSISTENTLY FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS. I ALSO WAS USING THE ACCELERATE & DECELERATE BUTTONS ON THE STEERING COLUMN. I APPROACHED A SLIGHT CURVE IN BIRMINGHAM, AL WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL LOCKED IN AT 60 MPH, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED FULL THROTTLE. I THEN SOMEWHAT RAISED UP IN THE SEAT TO APPLY ALL THE FOOT PRESSURE I COULD TO THE BRAKE. IT SLOWED DOWN SLIGHTLY. WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, IT BEGAN TO SPEED UP AGAIN. NEXT I FUMBLED WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTONS TO SEE IF THEY WERE STUCK. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. FINALLY, I MOVED THE GEAR SHIFT TO NEUTRAL & THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN. TRUCK PARKED IN GARAGE FROM SAT EVENING 4/21/2012 FROM SHORT 9 MILE TRIP. TRUCK STARTED AROUND 10:30 A.M. SUN 4/22/2012. REMOVED FROM GARAGE FOR 3 MINUTES THEN RETURNED TO GARAGE. SHUT OFF. LEFT RESIDENCE IN ANOTHER VEHICLE. RETURNED AROUND 7:30 P.M. OPENED THE GARAGE TO FIND A SMOKY HAZE COMING FROM IT. THE ENTIRE GARAGE WAS HOT. I NOTICED DRIPS OF SOME SUBSTANCE UNDER THE TRUCK AND ON THE RUNNING BOARDS. I IMMEDIATELY REALIZED IT WAS THE UNDERCOATING THAT WAS WARM ENOUGH TO MELT AND DRIP. I GOT INTO THE TRUCK TO START IT UP BUT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. IT WAS WARM ENOUGH IN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK TO LIQUEFY TOOTSY ROLLS THAT WERE IN THERE. I COULD NOT GET THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL TO PUSH IT OUT OF THE GARAGE. AFTER A SHORT PERIOD WITH THE GARAGE DOORS OPEN AND EVERYTHING SEEMING TO COOL DOWN. I USED A BATTERY CHARGER TO TRY START THE TRUCK. IT WOULD JUST CLICK AND NOT ROLL OVER. WITH THE CHARGER THERE WAS ENOUGH POWER TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND PUSH THE TRUCK OUT OF THE GARAGE. THERE WE USED A COMMERCIAL BATTERY STARTER AND THE TRUCK STARTED UP. THERE WAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON ALL THE TIME BUT IT SEEMED TO RUN FINE. ALL GAUGES READ WHERE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO. THE FAN BLOWER SPEED CONTROL STUCK ON HIGH ONLY AND WAS REPLACED 09/2011. THE VEHICLE KEPT STALLING OUT UPON DECELERATION GOING DOWN THE ROAD. WITH LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES WHEN THIS HAPPENS. COULD BE GOING 30 MPH OR 60 MPH. WHEN GET MOTOR IS STARTED AGAIN IT USUALLY RUNS ROUGH. THE LEFT OXYGEN SENSOR CODE WAS ON SO THIS WAS REPLACED. 11/2011 THE FUEL GAUGE ALSO STOPPED READING FUEL IN THE TANK WHEN THIS HAPPENS. REPLACED FUEL PUMP IN TANK, FUEL FILTER, FUEL POWER MODULE, ALL WAS FINE FOR THREE WEEKS. TRUCK DIES 8 TIMES TODAY AND ALL THE SAME PROBLEMS ARE BACK. DURING THE LATEST OCCURRENCE THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE NAVIGATING A LEFT TURN THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. THE STALL RESULTED IN A POWER STEERING AND BRAKES FAILURE. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE WITHOUT INCIDENT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC. THE LATEST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON 05/23/2011. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE LOCAL FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT BUT THEY CANNOT RECREATED THE PROBLEM AND THEREFORE HAVE NO SOLUTION. I HAVE ALSO NOTIFIED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THE PROBLEM. THERE HAVE BEEN SIX OTHER QUALITY ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. AT 5000, I NOTICED THE SMELL AGAIN AND KNEW RIGHT WHERE TO LOOK. I DID AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE SAME THIRD BRAKE LIGHT ONLY THEY SAID THIS ONE HAD A STRONGER SEAL. CAME ON ONLY WHEN IT WAS VERY DARK OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS IS TRUE WHETHER THE LIGHT SWITCH IS IN THE MANUAL OR THE AUTOMATIC POSITION. THE DASH LIGHTS WILL NOT RESPOND WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ILLUMINATED IN THE MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC POSITION UNLESS IT IS VERY DARK OUTSIDE OR YOU PLACE YOUR FINGER OVER THE ELECTRIC EYE. THE FORD DEALER FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AGREED THAT THE DASH LIGHTS SHOULD ILLUMINATE WHENEVER THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON AND KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR FIVE DAYS TRYING TO FIND THE PROBLEM. THEY FINALLY GOT HOLD OF THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY HOT LINE AND WERE TOLD THAT THE CURRENT LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR THIS VEHICLE IS A RESULT OF A PROGRAMMING CHANGE MADE BY THE COMPANY FOR 2009. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE ONLY SOLUTION TO MY CONCERN WOULD RESULT AS A PROBABLE RECALL FOR ALL OF THE VEHICLES TO FIX THE PROBLEM. IN LATE MAY 2009, I CALLED THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY'S RELATIONSHIP CENTER AND RELATED THE ABOVE-STATED CONCERN. THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND COURTEOUS AND INDICATED THAT HE WOULD FORWARD THIS INFORMATION TO APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE FORD ORGANIZATION. HOWEVER, HE DID NOT FEEL THAT I WOULD BE GETTING ANY RESPONSES. I UNDERSTAND THE YOUNG MAN'S DILEMMA (IT'S A TECHNICAL PROBLEM WHICH NEEDS A TECHNICAL INPUT). I AM STILL WONDERING WHETHER A FORD COMPANY PROGRAMMING CHANGE IS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM OR IF MY CONCERN IS JUSTIFIED. I BELIEVE THERE ARE SOME SAFETY ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED, I.E. SHOULDN'T YOU BE ABLE TO TELL IF YOUR HEADLIGHTS ARE ON BY GLANCING AT YOUR DASH LIGHTS DURING DAYLIGHT STORM CONDITIONS? *TR
