I need to open a safety case. My 2014 Ford F-150 had recall 24S37 performed. Immediately after the recall, the steering locked, the truck stopped itself while still in Drive, and a blue oil pressure warning light appeared. The vehicle is unsafe and cannot be driven out of my driveway. The dealership is refusing responsibility and wants to charge diagnostics. I need this inspected and towed under recall responsibility.”

I was driving the vehicle this morning; the temperature was about 16 degrees Freiheit outside and the truck had been sitting out all night. I had the heater on and the rear defroster on. I drove the truck for about 2 minutes on a 25 mph residential street and heard a loud bang. I continued to drive the truck and noticed the driver side pane of the rear sliding glass window had shattered. I did some research online and found several reports from individuals with F-Series trucks that have reported similar incidents.

I am reporting an odometer rollback that occurred before I purchased my vehicle. CARFAX shows the vehicle had 206,627 miles when it was sold at an auto auction on February 27, 2023. Four months later, in June 2023, the vehicle was retitled in Illinois at 69,000 miles. The odometer reading at my first service visit on June 26, 2023 also showed 68,380 miles. This is a discrepancy of approximately 138,000 miles, which indicates the odometer was rolled back sometime between the auction sale and the Illinois title issuance. I purchased the vehicle in June 2023 without knowing the mileage had been altered. The issue affects the accuracy of the vehicle’s history and could impact safety and maintenance expectations. I am reporting this so the rollback can be documented and investigated by the appropriate authorities.

I recieved a Text message months after this happened. They knew about it a month prior. I could have saved alot if they had done there job. Nit following procedures. It says in writing. I was coming to a intersection, proceeding to stop, and it would not let me. I was standing on the brake peddle with both feet( I am 275lb, 6'7 ,) I ran into back of van, was Sued, and my insurance went up. I lost not one but 2 raptors to the same issue. After receiving a call from Mullinax Ford in Mobile, AL regarding a recall for our 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor (recall related to unexpected downshifting), I brought the vehicle to my workplace on [XXX], where a technician performed the software update (flash) on-site. Before the update, the vehicle was functioning without issue. That same evening while driving home, I experienced extremely hard downshifting, initially in lower gears, and worsening over time. The truck now violently downshifts, primarily into 4th gear, and sounds as if the transmission is slipping. I drove the truck again the next morning and the symptoms persisted. I contacted Zachary, the original representative at the dealership, who said it may be part of the “relearning” process. My husband drove it a week later after returning from a business trip and he confirmed the issue. It has progressively worsened to the point of being undrivable. We returned the truck to Mullinax Ford for evaluation on 7/29/25, and they claimed the failure was unrelated to the update and that the transmission needed to be replaced, at our expense. The truck unpredictably drops gears at high speeds, creating a sudden jerk that could lead to loss of control. This poses a serious safety risk to both the driver and others on the road. The dealership performed the recall software update and later diagnosed the truck with transmission failure, but is denying responsibility. No other third-party inspections have been done at this time. There were no warning lights or issues prior to the update. The issue started immediately after the recall software was flashed and worsened over the next 24–48 hours. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and available for inspection. This 2014 pickup was started at about 8:00 AM and the manager went inside the building for a few minutes, (less than 5). A vender that was delivered petroleum product saw that the truck was smoking and on fire in the cab and he told the technicians in the shop who ran out with fire extinguishers to put the fire out. The doors had locked automatically with the keys inside the vehicle. A spare set of keys were acquired shortly and the vehicle was opened with the key. The vehicle was turned off and the hood was popped. a fire extinguisher was deployed while another technician disconnected the battery which then extinguished the fire. The heater motor had melted out of the dash and the dash had started on fire. The dealer was notified and we were told to call Ford and report to our insurance. We are self insured so there is no one to report to. There were no symptoms, problems leading up to this thermal event. The vehicle has 78,000 miles on it and is in great mechanical shape. This is our 2nd time reporting this back 4 years ago our vehicle downshifted suddenly. Causing our vehicle to drop speed tremendously. We called the dealership to let them know what happened and they said they have had several complaints at the time of these trucks doing this. It caused the rear tires to lock and slide. We ended up loosing control and running of the road and wrecking the truck and messing up the front. FORD HAS STILL NOT FIXED THIS VEHICLE

We are the original vehicle owners. The backup camera was replaced at a Ford Dealership on 3/26/20 because the screens were showing blank images and sometimes distorted images. at that time the mileage was 82564. Now the backup camera is doing the exact same thing, and the mileage is 144236. This is a safety issue backing up and can cause an accident. There have been recalls on most models but 2014 was not included. Ford has stated that the recalls are tied to the VIN., thus even though we paid Ford and replaced the camera in 2020, the camera is not covered although it is the same parts of model year VINS that were recalled. The 2014 should have been included in the recalls, as well as specific part recalls.

We replaced the back up camera on 3/26/20. It was showing blank images and sometimes distorted images. Now the vehicle has 144,236 miles and the same issue is occurring. There are numerous year model recalls for this exact issue, yet the 2014 was not included. This will be the third back up camera. This is dangerous and should be recalled.

On July of 2024 I received a Safety Recall notice 24S37/NHTSA Recall 24V444. I had no issues but I went to have my vehicle verified for recall and Duval Ford said I did. After I had the recall repair was done my truck began acting erratic so I took it back to Duval Ford three times before my truck became undrivable.On 1/10/2025 Duval Ford Could not dispute my Claim.They repaired my transmission and every time I drive my truck i feel that I may have the same issues as stated in the recall letter.The didn't want to give me a warranty I only got a 12 month or 12 k miles warranty. I feel that they did not see the seriousness of the situation and I want other to know the impact that this could have on their lives.Thank you for being there for the consumer.

On [XXX], about 20 minutes into my 30-minute commute, while driving at highway speed, my trucks transmission suddenly downshifted dramatically, jerking and throwing me forward in my seat and causing the truck to slow down so abruptly that I was almost rear ended, putting drivers around and behind me at risk of high-speed collisions. Less than 5 minutes later it happened a second time. This is the exact same abrupt transmission downshift issue that happened to me in this vehicle a few times before in early 2024. I received a Safety Recall notice on this known issue about a week after the first incident in 2024. I took my vehicle into the AutoNation Ford Dealer in Littleton, Colorado immediately after I received that notice and they supposedly 'fixed' the issue under the recall 24S37. Obviously, the issue has not been resolved. I am asking for a deeper look into the safety issue as I am sure I am not the only one this is happening to. I am also concerned that there were no warning lamps or messages that would indicate a problem that needed to be addressed! The truck is currently back at the AutoNation Ford Dealer in Littleton and is available for inspection. They are telling me there is no current recall for this issue. How can that be true if it’s the exact same problem and their Safety Recall ‘repair’ didn’t work? I believe the repair was just a software patch, but I can’t be sure. Can you please help me find out what the recall (24S37) was supposed to fix and why it didn’t fix the problem? Their suggestion now is to replace the Valve Body with a cost of $2,554.63 (in addition to a $219.95 diagnostic fee). My concern is that even this expensive repair might not actually solve the problem, and I am truly afraid to drive this vehicle. I received a recall (Safety recall notice 24S37 . NHTSA Recall 24v444 ) notice in the mail. I scheduled with the dealership to have the recall taken care of. When the recall issue was "fixed", I picked up my 2014 Ford f150 stx 3.7L truck and immediately noticed it was running vwry rough and the transmission felt like it was slipping. The truck ran great before going in for the recall issue and had even been fully serviced and tuned up two weeks prior. I called the Ford dealership and explained to them. The truck then would not start but it did continue to crank over. I plugged my computer to it and no codes. I called the dealership back and was told to have it towed (at my expense) back to the dealership so they could fix it and if the issue was under due to the recall service, which it was, I would be reimbursed the money for the tow and the money they charged for a diagnostics. They also found nothing wrong and couldn't start the truck. They recommended I allow them to perform work to it claiming the spark plugs showed that the engine was flooded but could tell they were new and correctly gapped. After another $700 (for 6 spark plugs to be replaced) it did not fix the issue and they're not sure what to do. I've called the dealership, spoke with the service manager Bill and the GM Bob. They claim there is nothing they can do. I have called Ford Motor customer service twice with no help to fixing the problem. I too my perfectly running truck in for a safety recall and received a broken truck Back. After over $1,200 out of pocket, I still have no truck and no answers and am stuck at the mercy of the dealership.

Took vehicle to dealer for safety recall in reference to the transmission issue of downshifting to a lower gear while driving at highway speeds. Dealer did a software reprogram and indicated that would revolve the issue. Within six months I had encountered the same issue. I notified Ford corporate and they instructed me to take it in to diagnose the issue, to which I did. They notified me that the lead frame was defective and would need to be replaced. they indicated that I would be charged close to $1700.00 for the service. contacted Ford Corporate and they claimed that it was not part of the recall. My problem with this that the software reprograms did not resolve the recall issue. It is known that the lead frame had manufacturing faults.

My radiator cracked and was replaced by Firestone in Nashville, TN. Firestone Address 7644 Hwy 70 S Nashville, TN 37221 Immediately after a loud screeching sound began. Which intermittently turns into a metal on metal and chirping sound with mild vibration. Subsequently I left the vehicle with Firestone for 1 additional week after the repairs were completed, including a 5 point inspection which did not illustrate any additional problems or recommended repairs. They said they were unable to diagnose the issue without the store managers opinion who seemed to be on an indefinite leave of absence and no specific estimated time frame. Several months later I went back into the same location to talk about my concerns with a manger On 1/16/2025. The manager personally setup an appointment for 1/18/2025. 15 minutes before they closed for the day I called. They said they didn't have time to it and that they will not be able to tomorrow either. I cannot comprehend how a licensed shop can operate this way. They're not prioritizing revisiting their previous repairs which have caused an extreme burden on my ability to care for multiple kids with severe disabilities. I have been extremely flexible with them and cannot help but feel they're trying to avoid service to hide past mistakes they do not want to address.

I was instructed to take my truck in for a recall of a sudden downshift issue with the transmissions molded leaf frame. I had told the ford representative that i was experiencing similar symptoms with my vehicle. and some symptoms that were even of even greater risks to me where when coming to a complete stop my vehicle would fail to gain proper speed facing oncoming traffic!! Also i had told the representative that due to those issues i also had the computer re-programmed previously to try to resolve the issue before becoming aware of the recall... i also had purchased an engine and transmission harness from a ford dealer prior to the recall as well, All for which i have not been re-compensated for..after becoming aware of the recall did i understand that the issue lied in the transmissions molded leaf frame which has not been repaired...no actions were taken to remedy my vehicle and i was upset and unsatisfied with the entire process!

Ford recall 24S37, software update for the Powertrain Control Module. The dealer was unable to complete the recall notice update due to another problem causing the dealer to be unable to plug into the data link connector as it did not have power to it.. The dealer states that issue will be needed to be completed prior to their ability to finish the recall remedy. I do not believe I should have to incur the cost of that repair as I was told by the dealer. I called Ford Customer Service prior to this email also to no solution. In a nutshell, if I don't pay for a repair then the risk of a crash with my vehicle still exists. I ask that your department instruct Ford to authorized both repairs.

The Main Control/Lead Frame failed and yes, I took my 2014 F150 to Mac Haik Ford Dealership in Pasadena, TX to inspect the vehicle after the recall had been done on 8/30/2024. The service guy came to my house and reprogrammed the Powertrain Control Module. The safety issue was unexpected or harsh downshifting and sometimes it wouldn't start. The problem was confirmed by the Ford Dealership, which cost us over $1700 to fix, we thought it had something to do with the recall. 2011-2012 F150 had problems with the Main Control/Lead Frame and they were recalled, so I don't understand why there is a safety issue with the same part in 2014. It was inspected by the Ford Dealership and fixed. Before we took our truck in to find out what was wrong an engine light came on and then after that a wrench light came on. This happened while we were driving and after the lights came on the transmission downshifted. So we went home and called Ford and took the truck in on 9/24/2024

Upon purchase of my vehicle, I occasionally would notice an unusual gear downshift. Then, upon receiving a Ford Recall 24S37 and NHTSA Recall 24V444000, regarding the update to the powertrain control module, I now continue to have a check engine light come on each month with the same error code. I've returned each month since the recall to Ford dealers to have the check engine light looked into further since the update, but each month the check engine light continues to return. Downshift to lower gears continues occasionally. 2 different dealers have seen the codes in the history of the vehicles computer when put through the Ford diagnostics. Invoices provided upon request, if needed.

Had Ford recall 24S37 update installed on my F150 and now I have noticed my speedometer is showing 70MPH when I am actually going 60MPH.Dealership said that there was nothing they could do.Contacted Ford Motor Company and they also said there was nothing they could do.Truck was fine until update was installed. I think it is not very safe not knowing your actual speed.

Backup camera is intermittent. Sometimes it works then goes to a blue screen while backing which could result in injury or death of children behind vehicle. it is available for inspection. I haven't taken it to a dealer. there is a message when it goes to the blue screen. this has been an ongoing problem for the last 2-3 years or so. I entered the current date as this has been ongoing.

Was driving to work in busy traffic about 55 mph when transmission started acting up like it was slipping in & out of gear. Felt like I lost control of the Raptor F150 so I slammed on the brakes. People were honking at me and driving erratic to avoid me and to go around me after I came to a stop. Eventually everything seemed like it was working fine again after I turned the motor on & off and shifted thru the gears a few times. The same thing happened again on the way home from work. I took it to the Ford Dealer in Temecula CA. They said it would cost me about $15,000 to fix the transmission. I paid about $80,000 for it in 2014 but they only offered $25,000 for trade in value. So I traded it in on a newer Raptor for $97,000. but when I got home I realized they gave me a 6 cylinder so I took it back, they charged me another $188,000 to drive home in a 2024 F250 Shelby the day before yesterday. They never told me my original 2014 F150 Raptor was under a recall and could have been fixed for free. I loved my original 2014 F150 but now I’m in an expensive truck with $3600 payments probably for the rest of my life. Did I get ripped off when they should have just fixed my truck for free under the recall? Thank you. Started the truck by using the remote starter got in the truck and while still in park position the rear slide window popped and shattered, come to find out has happened to lot of other people. They said that the defroster comes on automatically along with the remote iven if not needed . Just bought the truck

2014 ford f150 raptor, built in 11/13 in Dearborn Michigan plant. Driving down wet highway in slow lane doing 55mph, speedometer goes to 0, airbag light illuminates, odometer changes to dashes, wrench light comes on, transmission downshifted locking up my wheels. My truck is totaled and i could have died. Another car is totaled as well. This is the same defect as the 09-13 recalls. Speed sensor in lead frame failure. The truck will jump from sixth gear to first gear, or will go from first gear straight to fifth and be stuck in fifth , or be stuck in first, the truck will randomly take off on its own or come to a screeching stop on highways going 60 mph, the gear indicator will stop working, alongside all other gauges on the dash, such as gas mileage, RPM, speedometer, heat and oil gauge will all stop working, when the vehicle is pulled over and shut off, it will start normal and run normal for a short amount of time.

The rear doors on the truck would not open. Ford reports that it is a "wear and tear" issue b/c the piece at the end of the cable that pulls the latch to open the door is plastic. My concern is not being able to open the doors if there were people (perhaps a baby in a car seat), in the back seat and there was an accident. It seems to me that it is a simple engineering fix. My complaint to Ford went nowhere. There are several videos on YouTube about this problem so I suspect it is a fairly common problem.

I was driving my F150 on the road another day and it shut off all of sudden in the middle of the road. I tried to restart it but was not successful. It was rush hour and it was so dangerous sitting in a truck in the middle of the road. Luckily I was not hit by other vehicles.

Took my 2014 F-150 in for an oil change on 09/09/2022 at Brondes Ford in Maumee Ohio, in the time spent there waiting for the vehicle to be done a representative came out to tell me that they were unable to rotate my tires do to swelling of the [lug nuts] and said it would cost me $120.00 From what I read online this is a big problem with Ford vehicle's.

The Ford f-150 2014 heated mirrors and rear sliding window defrost system stop working ALL fuses and relays were checked and in good working order. When brought to Ford Motor company dealer attention was told that rear window would have to be replaced at my cost to correct safety problem. Living in Michigan where we get freezing rain and snow being unable to use outside mirrors to safely see traffic to change lanes is a big risk factor for all on the highways. Ford motor company knows of this but not concerned to make right with owners of vehicles. These vehicles have been inspected by Ford motor. There is NO WARNING light to let one know that system is not functioning other then ice build up on mirrors.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started stalling and failed to accelerate as needed. Additionally, the maintenance warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road and restart the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle operated as needed. The vehicle was diagnosed and the throttle body was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 41,000.

My rear driver side window shattered while I was driving. It was around Jan 8th 2022 give or take the temperature was freezing but no ice had to be scraped. I warmed my truck up for a 3-4 mins before leaving work. As I was on the freeway no more than 10 min after starting my truck I was driving about 60mph at 5:30 in the morning I herd a super loud pop sounded almost like a rock hit my windshield but didn’t see anything. I didn’t find out what had happened until I got home. It did make me swerve just a little bit not know was happening but no cars were out that early. So only one of the three sections shattered but not into pieces it’s still intact as of now but is in a ton of little gravel size pieces. So I’m not able to use the electric middle window to open as I’m sure it will completely break the other section. Also I was not even using the rear defrost at the time just the front window part. I’m sure the temperature is to blame but either way it could have been a lot worse if there was traffic at the wrong time. I’ll be turning into insurance to have it fix in the next few days.

We have experienced 2 incidents where a wrench appears on the screen followed by a complete loss of acceleration. The first incident occurred while on the highway driving 65 MPH, we made it over to the side of the highway, shut the vehicle off and restarted after about 1-2 minutes. We were able to make it home without another incident. I took the vehicle to the dealer and they could not find any error codes. I had a tune-up done before the second incident occurred. We were traveling 40 MPH on a very narrow curvy road during the second incident and were extremely fortunate to clear the corner with just enough room to get the truck off the side of the road before coming to a complete stop. Just as before a wrench appears on the screen. We shut the truck off and restarted it after 1-2 minutes and was able to make it home without another incident.

The symptoms are exactly as described in the leadframe recall of 2013 F-150 trucks - my truck is 2014. The truck suddenly shifts to 1st gear while travelling at higher speeds, sluggish acceleration, check engine light and the wrench icon appearing on the display, MPG display dropped to zero, and the speedometer stopped working while driving. The symptoms appeared gradually over the last 6 months, with the speedometer and the wrench icon happening yesterday. The last time I took it to the mechanic, about 2 months ago, the check engine light was on, but no codes. This is a safety issue because sudden shifting to 1st gear while at a higher speed is going to cause loss of control and an accident.

Service advanetrac message came on while driving (not at start up) prior to losing power steering while driving. Service advancetrac message came on but went away after 1 minute of driving. A few minutes after message went away, the truck completely lost power steering while driving on a highway (nearly lost conrol). Power Steering Assist fault message then appeared and the Service Advancetrac message reappeared. Had to have truck towed.

In October 2017 the entire rear window heating element was identified as defective. The entire window panel was replaced with Ford contributing partial monetary renumeration for the repair. On November 2, 2021 the rear window heater was activated. The indicator light did not “light up”. Approximately 15 minutes later a loud “bang” was heard in the cabin and the presence of smoke was evident. Upon pulling over and inspecting the vehicle, smoke was emanating from the rear right (passenger side) bottom corner. It was also noticed that the entire right panel. Ford has indicated that there is currently no recall associated with this. There are multiple reported incidents of the occurring over many years upon performing a Google search.

While driving on the freeway at about 70 mph, the "wrench" symbol popped up on my dash and the truck went into "limp mode" which is where the truck is on but you cannot accelerate. I then had the same thing happen while driving on the street at about 45 mph. Both times, I was able to get off to the side, restart the vehicle and then start driving again. After the car was restarted, there was some harsh shifting between 5th and 6th gear and it seemed a bit sluggish. I contacted the Ford dealership and they told me that they couldn't do anything unless the check engine light or wrench symbol were showing on the dashboard.

The vehicle has been having recurring issues with limp mode roughly 5-10 mins after cold start. Wrench lamp lights and vehicle loses all power and has no throttle response. This is becoming a weekly occurring issue. This is extremely dangerous because it could be while at highway speed, in heavy traffic and put the driver and passengers at risk of accident. If vehicle can be safely limped to the shoulder and turned off, vehicle starts back up with no issues after being shut down for a few minutes. on several occasions while driving at 50+ mph my truck suddenly downshifts from 6th gear to 1st gear causing the rear wheels to lock up and skid. i have taken the vehicle to the dealership and they refuse to do anything because they can not duplicate the issue. this has happened several times the last time was on the freeway causing me to shoot over 2 lanes of traffic almost causing an accident. the ford dealership and the extended warranty company ameriplus both refuse to help because they both say that they can not duplicate the problem but the vehicle comes up with dtc codes p0731 and p0722

FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED YESTERDAY 4/17/21 WHEN DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES AM HOUR THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT UP FROM FIRST GEAR, OR IT INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN BACK TO DRIVE AND IT WORKED LIKE NORMAL. TODAY 4/18/21 I'VE HAD TWO INCIDENTS, THE FIRST WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH THE VEHICLE DROPPED DOWN TO 2ND GEAR, RAPIDLY SLOWING. I SHOWED TO FIRST GEAR, PUT INTO NEUTRAL AND BACK TO DRIVE AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 65-70 MPH MY TRUCK SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED FROM 6TH TO 2ND GEAR, DECELERATING EXTREMELY QUICKLY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO AN EXIT AND PUT THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN BACK INTO DRIVE AND THE TRANSMISSION RESUMED LIKE NORMAL. THIS IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THE FACT THIS VEHICLE IS MY DAILY DRIVER AND I USUALLY HAVE MY KIDS IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME. I'VE NOTICED THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL OTHER INCIDENTS ON THIS VEHICLE IT IS A 2014 F-150 SUPER CREW 4X4 I'M SUPER UPSET SEEING AS THE TRUCK I HAVEN'T HAD LONG AND ALSO THE FACT THAT FORD DOESN'T WANNA OWN UP TO THEIR FLAW IN THE GLASS. WHEN THE TECH ARRIVED I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE, A WINDOW JUST BREAKING ON ITS OWN. HE SAID THAT HE SEES A FAIR NUMBER OF 2014 F150S WITH THIS PROBLEM, AND EVEN THOUGHT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR SUCH. HE SAID THE HEATING ELEMENT IN THE REAR DEFROST SHORTS OUT AND BREAKS THE WINDOW. WHEN I CALLED FORD THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM. A SIMPLE SEARCH ON THE INTERNET SHOWS A PLETHRA OF SIMULAR COMPLAINTS NOT JUST ON 2014 MODELS, BUT 2015 AND 2016 AS WELL. THIS IS DANGEROUS! I COULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING AND HAD A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THIS. WORSE EVEN WOULD BE IF MY DAUGHTER WAS SITTING BACK THERE. I AM TIRED OF THE MONEY HUNGRY CORPORATIONS NOT DOING THEIR ETHICAL AND MORAL JOB OF KEEPING THEIR CUSTOMERS SAFE, AND THIS WILL NOT CHANGE UNLESS WE HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. THIS PROBLEM BEGAN JUST AFTER THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP REPLACED CAMERA, BUT PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. RELYING ON THE CAMERA SCREEN TO FUNCTION WHEN NEEDED AND NOT WORKING, CREATED A NEAR MISS ON HITTING A FIXED OBJECT.

THE DEFROST SENSOR HAS BEEN CAUSING THIS TO THE 09-14 F150 AND FORD IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS.. CURRENT RESULTS ARE; 1) NO CONTROL OVER AIR FLOW WHETHER WITHIN THE CABIN (RECIRCULATION VERSUS "FRESH" AIR) AND 2) THAT IT MAKES A TERRIBLE NOISE AND VIBRATION AS THE BROKEN PART IS WITHIN THE CIRCULAR FAN. EVENTUAL RESULT COULD BE 1) BURN-OUT OF THE FAN MOTOR WITH POSSIBLE OVERHEATING OF THE FAN MOTOR (ELECTRICAL FIRE?), 2) HEAT PROBLEMS FOR PASSENGERS 3) FAILURE TO DEFROST WINDSHIELD UNDER COLD CONDITIONS. IN READING INTERNET POSTINGS (FORUMS), THIS IS APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM WITH A HIGH COST TO HAVE REPAIRED, FOR A SIMPLE BROKEN PIECE OF PLASTIC.

AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON OVER THE PAST COUPLE YEARS. I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK IN TO FORD DEALER SERVICE CENTERS FOR MULTIPLE VISITS AND HAVE SPENT A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME AND MONEY TRYING TO SOLVE. MOST RECENTLY, THE TRUCK WAS AT THE DEALER WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON AND WHILE TROUBLESHOOTING, THE LIGHT TURNED OFF. AS SOON AS THE LIGHT WAS OFF, THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DONE OTHER THAN RETURNING TO THE SERVICE CENTER IF/WHEN THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IF THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON, NONE OF THE AIRBAGS WILL DEPLOY. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN FOR A MODERN VEHICLE THAT I HAVE BEEN PRUDENT IN TRYING TO REMEDIATE BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. REGARDING WHAT SPECIFICALLY OCCURS, WHEN STARTING THE TRUCK EITHER THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL BE ON OR OFF. I'M LUCKY IT DIDN'T SHATTER WHILE I WAS DRIVING OR WHILE MY KIDS OR GRANDKIDS WERE IN THE BACK SEAT. THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 19,000 MILES ON IT.

EXPLODING REAR GLASS - 45F EXTERNAL TEMP, TURNED ON THE REAR DEFROSTER, AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE SOMEONE HIT THE TRUCK WITH A BASEBALL BAT! I LOOK AROUND AND NOTICE THE DRIVERSIDE PORTION OF MY 3 SECTION POWER SLIDING REAR WINDSHIELD HAS SHATTERED. AFTER CALLING A REPAIR PLACE I LEARNED THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE TRUCKS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL FROM WHAT I CAN TELL, SOUNDS LIKE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM IS FAULTY REAR DEFROST ELEMENTS GETTING TOO HOT AND CAUSING THE GLASS TO SHATTER IN COLD WEATHER. TRUCK RAN FOR A FEW MINUTES IN THE DRIVEWAY BEFORE LEAVING FOR WORK. GLASS SHATTERED ABOUT A MILE INTO THE DRIVE WHILE GOING AROUND 40 MPH ON A CITY STREET (BARKER CYPRESS IN CYPRESS, TX TO BE EXACT).

DRIVING AT 55 MPH IN CRUISE CONTROL. TOUCHED BRAKE TO DISENGAGE CRUISE CONTROL AND PRESSED ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO PASS A SLOW VEHICLE WHEN PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND ENGINE RACED. I HAD TO PRESS BRAKES WITH ALL MY MIGHT TO SLOW VEHICLE TO 45 MPH AND IT KEPT CLIMBING AND PEDAL WOULD NOT COME UP AND ENGINE SPEED WOULD NOT SLOW. PRESSED OFF BUTTON FOR CRUISE CONTROL AND NOTHING CHANGED. FINALLY AFTER 5 MILES HEARD A POP AND THE PEDAL CAME UP AND ENGINE SPEED DROPPED TO IDLE. COULD NOT STOP EARLIER AS 2 LANE HWY. WITH NO SHOULDER. GUARD RAIL AND RIVER ON RIGHT AND MOUNTAIN CLIFFS ON LEFT SIDE. BROUGHT TO DEALER WHO COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG THEY STATED.

REMOTED STARTED MY F150 AS I NORMALLY WOULD IN THE MORNING. ENTERED THE VEHICLE TO HEAR CRACKING, LOOKING IN MY REAR VIEW AND NOTICED THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE LOWER CORNER. ENTER THE TRUCK BED TO GET A BETTER LOOK AND THE RUBBER IN THE LOWER CORNER WAS BURNING AND MELTING. SHUT TRUCK OFF. IT APPEARS THE REAR DEFROSTER MALFUNCTIONED AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE. THE TRUCK IS AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW. NO RECALL AND THEY DID NOT TAKE THE ISSUE VERY SERIOUSLY.

AFTER TURNING ON THE REAR DEFROSTER FOR ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES THE RIGHT REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. (IF LOOKING FROM BEHIND ITS THE FAR RIGHT OUT OF THE 3 PART WINDOW. ) ITURNED IT ON AND DROVE ON A STRAIGHT ROAD FOR 1/4 TO 1/2 MILE AT APROX 35 MPH. WE HEARD A LOUD POP/BANG AND LOOKED AROUND AND FOUND THE SHATTERED WINDOW. NO PUNCTURE MARK OR HOLE FROM ANY OBJECT HITTING IT. APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ACCORDING TO REVIEWS AND NEWS ARTICLES AS THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE DEFROSTER OVER HEATING. LUCKILY IT STAYED IN THE WINDOW SO WE DO NOT HAVE GLASS EVERY WHERE BUT IT COULD FLY OUT EVERY WHERE AT ANY SECOND. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A CHILD IN THE BACK.

BRAKE RESERVOIR LOST ALL FLUID RESULTING IN BRAKE LOSS, AFTER TRAVELING 60 MILES PULLING AN RV. ON OUR FIRST TRIP OVER THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE WE STOPPED FOR THE NITE THE NEXT MORNING WE HAD NO BRAKES AND FOUND THE RESERVOIR COMPLETELY DRY. CALLED FORD ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND WERE TOLD IT WOULD COST $462 TO GET THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK. I REFILLED THE BRAKE RESERVOIR AND DROVE HOME PULLING THE RV OVER THE MOUNTAINS TO HOME. FORD TOLD ME THAT COULDN'T HAPPEN BUT IT DID THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER UNDER WARRANTY AND GAVE ME A LOANER CAR.

DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MPH ON A FLAT STRAIGHTAWAY, 33 OUTSIDE, AND HEAR A NOISE LIKE A GUN WENT OFF. THE REAR PASSENGERS SIDE WINDOW ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE COMPLETELY SHATTERED. DEALER TOOK A PICTURE AND FORD SAID SOMETHING MUST HAVE HIT IT DUE TO THE LARGE LOWER HOLE WITH A RADIAL PATTERN. THERE WAS NOTHING INSIDE OF THE TRUCK AND OF COURSE THE HOLE WAS LARGE NOW DUE TO FALLING APART WITH EVERY BUMP I HIT DRIVING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I THINK FORD HAS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR WINDOWS AND OF COURSE BLAME IT ON THE CUSTOMER.

FIRST, I CRANK MY VEHICLE AND ALLOW TO ENGINE TO WARM APPROXIMATELY 3-5 MINUTES EACH DAY AS USUAL. ONCE I BEGIN DRIVING A "LOUD HUMMING" OR UNUSUAL NOISE HAPPENS USUALLY ONCE I REACH 30-40 MILES PER HOUR. THIS WILL HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES DURING MY DRIVING TIME, AND THEN CEASE ALL OF A SUDDEN. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ISSUE BECAUSE I JUST PURCHASED VEHICLE ON JUNE 20, 2014 AND NOW I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH IT. I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY GET INTO MY LOCAL DEALER (POINT OF PURCHASE ALSO) TO GET A TECH TO RIDE WITH ME BECAUSE NO LIGHTS COME ON DURING NOISE TIME. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH ESTABROOK FORD IN PASCAGOULA RIGHT NOW. I CALLED ON JULY 17 TO SET UP "CHECK" FOR VEHICLE, BUT WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE VERY BUSY AND COULD NOT CHECK IT UNTIL NEXT WEEK. I SCHEDULED TO HAVE A LEAVE VEHICLE AT DEALER OVERNIGHT AND RETURN NEXT MORNING SO THAT TECH COULD RIDE WITH ME TO "LISTEN" FOR NOISE. UPON ARRIVAL, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY TRIED TO CALL ME TO RESCHEDULE BECAUSE 3 TECHS AND OIL CHANGER GUY HAD WALKED OFF JOB. WELL, THIS IS UNTRUE BECAUSE I HAVE HAD SAME NUMBER FOR 2 YEARS, AND HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLES IN FOR OIL CHANGE, ETC. I TOLD THEM THAT I COULD NOT TAKE OFF WORK TO BRING VEHICLE BACK AND I WAITED FOR TECH TO RIDE WITH ME. TECH RODE WITH ME (VERY NICE GUY) AND HEARD SOUND. HE STATED THAT IT SOUNDS LIKE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE THE NOISE OCCURS DURING SHIFTING. THEY SCHEDULED ME TO RETURN VEHICLE THIS WEDNESDAY AFTER I GET OFF WORK (AUGUST 5) TO PUT IT ON RACK TO ATTEMPT TO REPAIR PROBLEM. MY OTHER ISSUE IS WITH FORD CORPORATION! I AM VERY FRUSTRATED TO KNOW THAT I MAY HAVE ONGOING ISSUES WITH A "NEW PURCHASE."

THIS COMPLAINT IS FOR THE TRAILER TOWING AND HANDLING OF MY FORD F150 PICKUP WITH TRAILER TOW PACKAGES, AND INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE RATED AT ALMOST 8,000 GVWR. WE HAVE EXPERIENCED EXCESSIVE AND DANGEROUS TRAILER SWAYING WITH A 25 FT TRAILER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS THAT WEIGHS UNDER 6000LBS. WE HAVE A LOAD EQUALIZING HITCH ALONG WITH SWAY CONTROL ON THE HITCH. AFTER READING OTHER INTERNET ARTICLES AND DISCUSSING WITH MY LOCAL FORD DEALER THEY RECOMMEND UPGRADING THE TIRES FROM THE "P" SERIES PASSENGER CAR RATED TIRES (P275/65R18), TO A "LOAD RANGE E" TRUCK TIRE. ITS SUGGESTED THAT THE WIMPY SIDE WALL ON "P" RATED TIRES ARE ALLOWING THE SWAY MOTION TO GET OUT OF CONTROL. IF THIS IS REALLY THE PROBLEM, THEN FORD IS MISREPRESENTING THE TOWING CAPABILITIES OF THEIR TRUCK. WHO PUTS CAR TIRES ON THEIR TRUCKS? ITS GOING TO COST ME UP TO $1200 IN NEW TIRES TO FIND OUT IF THIS IS THE FIX. FORD IS IGNORING THIS ISSUE SAYING I JUST NEED TO BUY HEAVIER DUTY TIRES AND MINE ONLY HAVE 1000 MILES ON THEM.
