Dashboard blackout while driving.

The rear backup camera fails and goes black. It is available for inspection if requested. Problem has been reproduced by a dealer. I have not had it inspected by police or insurance. There were no warning signs other than camera went blurry then completely black. The are millions of recalls and consumer satisfaction warranties for 2015-current f 150s, but for some reason mine is not showing up as a recall.

I became aware of a Ford F 150 Rear Camera recall. I found that out in 2025 but with research looks like there was also one in 2021. I did not receive the recall and contacted Ford. They do not show that either. I was contacting them because I had 2 accidents in 2024 that I believe were caused by the failure o the rear camera alert. I also have contacted my car insurance company regarding my claim. Ford in not communicating with me and my insurance company suggested I contact you. In Aug of 2024 on a Saturday I was having work done on my house so prked my 2008 Audi across from my driveway. Later in the day when I needed to drive my F150 I backed out of my garage and hit the Audi. No alerts came on with the camera. The next day I went to church and pulled in to a spot then backed up wo straigten out. I hit a car that was driving past my spot. Again the alerts never went on. I believe both of these are related to the failure of my rear camera. I am shocked that my truck is not on the reall list as I believe the rear camera needs to me replaced. Car randomly downshifting at freeway speeds. Mechanic is not sure what is wrong or how to fix. When Google, it seems to be a common issue with this year and I clearly very unsafe with people in the car on the freeway

I was driving my 2015 Ford F150 and just pulled into the parking lot. The lights on the dash started going off (airbags, parking detectors, big wrench, etc), however the vehicle driving wasn't affected at that time. I immediately stopped and parked, When I returned to my vehicle it had full power, but wouldn't even attempt to start. I had no choice but to tow it to a nearby Ford dealership in Grapevine, TX. It was ultimately diagnosed with a bad "Transmission Lead Harness." The dealership told me that this was a recall item on many F150s, but for some reason, not on mine. I researched this specific issue and found that 2011-2016 models of F150 were affected. It shows an investigation was opened for 2015 models as well. My question is why my specific vehicle is not under a recall. This could be a potentially dangerous issue, i'd think. So, right now I'm looking at a nearly $2000 bill to repair my vehicle when they get the parts in on Friday, 10/10/2025. I believe that if this is a recall on other with the same transmission lead harness, why is mine separated from that. I was given no warning other than the lights going off just before shutting of my truck, then it wouldn't start again. Thankfully I was in a populated area and not in the middle of nowhere. Please advise on any possible what I can get reimbursed for this issue.

I have a power rear window, the tracks that hold the window in place have fallen loose to the point the window leans inward and which in turn wind and rain are coming in causing the interior is getting wet. This will damage the inside of the truck making repair costly

Transmission on my F150 suddenly dropped to a lower gear as I was pulling out on a highway which significantly lowered my acceleration. Luckily the oncoming traffic slowed until I could safely get across to my lane. Eventually it jumped back into the proper gear. From what I have found on the internet this seems to be a common defect. Only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed. This is not the first time the transmission has done this. I took my F150 to the dealership to be checked and they didn’t find anything wrong. P0706 and P0707 codes.

Coolant hoses defect. I have had non stop issues with coolant hoses blowing out on the highway due to the couplings they use. Plastic is not designed to withstand heat from the coolant and the constant temperature changes. I have to replace the couplings every 6month plus the heater core hoses because of the failure of the plastic couplings they use there isn’t an aftermarket option that is not plastic either this is a real issue due to being stranded on the road and not to mention the issues of environmental damage due to the coolant leaking all over the ground!!!

A mechanic confirmed the truck has an issue with the speed sensor. On the daily, the truck will experience shifting issues, gets stuck in 3rd, and will not go past 5th. I have to turn off the vehicle and restart and it resets. I've read this is a known issue, and F150s for model years prior to and after 2015 have been recalled for this same thing. I also believe there are already a significant number of complaints for the 2015 model year for this exact issue. Please issue a recall.

The transfer case is leaking, caused by galvanic corrosion. Ford used steel bolts on the aluminum transfer case housing which created the corrosion.

The engine while operating at normal speed loses power to a rough idle and is remedied by putting the vehicle in park and restarting the engine. The engine never fails to start after restarting, but could fail at any moment, short or long term.

This vehicle was purchased by a friend with the factory tow package. No modifications were made before my purchase three years ago. I installed a factory brake controller for a travel trailer I purchased. The software was enabled with Forscan, and the dealer updated the software to the latest available. Even with a new seven way plug, the truck displays "trailer disconnected" when using the slide brake and also never shows any output when braking. The brakes do engage but very mildly. The travel trailer brakes normally on my other vehicle. There are no fault codes and no obvious connection issues. The dealership today said they do no know the cause and would likely be unable to resolve it.

Upper rail for sliding rear window came off causing the rear slider to fall into the back seat. This is a known problem with 2015 and newer F150's with a rear sliding windows. Ford refuses to acknowledge the issue and take responsibility for it. It is a failure of the adhesive that holds the top rail for the slider to the window.

A recent recall on F250’s, 350’s and other ford fleets on the reverse camera not operating intermittently. It’s a known issue. I reported it to my local ford dealer back in 2019 and they said I would need to drop the truck off for over a week just for diagnosis. Single vehicle family here. It’s a big loss of situational awareness in areas like parking lots and with more people walking around with their phones in their faces like zombies, and with the camera inoperative, has greater potential of loss of life or damage to property.

Sunroof was replaced under warranty due to track being broken. Now the sunroof is leaking and the shade will not open. There has been several recalls for sunroof issues. Dealership says my vin is not included. This seems to me to be a recall issue for safety. If the sunroof is broken it could cave in or fly off. Especially since it is leaking and won’t open and cannot see the problem. Dealership wants to charge me over $200 just to look at it. This is unacceptable.

It’s been several times that I’ll be driving, sometimes on residential roads and once getting onto the highway. The transmission will suddenly drop down into first gear and I’ll have to limp off the side of the road until I’m going slow enough to be in first gear, then I can go again. Or I’ll lose 1,2 and 6th gears so I’ll have to pull over, turn the truck off and start it again. Then I’ll have gears 1-6 again.

I was driving down the highway then my vehicle randomly dropped down to gear 2 from 6 and went from 65mph to 30 and redlined my vehicle. It was extremely scary and took it to the shop immediately and then they replaced my lead frame and cost me $2,000. I definitely believe it has damaged my transmission and won’t last as long now.

The sliding rear window assembly which is attached with 4 adhesive tape strips have come loose. The sliding window comes out of the frame and could become airborne if hit from the rear or in a front end collision. It is a very poor way to attach a sliding rear window and the failure rate is high. The bad part of this is most people are probably not aware of the problem other than the window frame will rattle sometimes when your on a bumpy road. It is a poor design and could be dangerous in any collision. The body and glass repair shops are aware of the problem on the rear windows of Ford pickups. This should be fixed with a recall before someone dies from the window becoming airborne in a crash

I cold started the engine from inside the house and when I opened the back passenger door there was smoke coming from behind the rear seat in the back area. I couldn’t get to where the smoke was coming from but from the smell it was wire related. I quickly went around to the driver side and turned on the truck and quickly turned it off. About 10-30 minutes later the ring camera showed the rear window of my truck shatter due to this incident in which I was informed that the rear auto defrost turns on due to a malfunction. I put a claim through my insurance and got the window fixed but I am still worried that this issue may happen again. I hope that by informing you of this situation going forward you can help others including myself be aware of this problem and how we can fix it. The O ring on the transmission cooler lines failed causing a loss of transmission fluid. This was hollered by a failure of the Lead Frame. There was a recall issued for the 2009 - 2014 model years for this problem. It affects the 6R80 transmission and the 2015 model year has the same transmission

6/25/24 I PUT MY 2015 F150 IN REVERSE AND GAVE IT JUST A LITTLE ACCELERATION AND IT IMMEDIATELY ACCELERATED FAST CROSSING THE STREET AND HITTING A UTILITY POLE TOTALING MY TRUCK. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON A FORD FORUM AN SAW WHERE OTHE PEOPLE HAD HAD RAPID UNEXPLAINED ACCERATION.ONE PERSON SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF A FAULTY ACCELERATO PEDAL POSITON ALSO KNOWN AS APP. MY SAFETY AND ANYONE WALKING OR DRIVING BY MY HOUSE WERE GREATLY PUT AT RISK. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN REPRODUCED OR CONFIRMED BY ANYONE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LAMPS OR MESSAGES. THIS NIGHTMARE CAME OUT OF NOWHERE.

I was driving approximately 65MPH when my transmission suddenly dropped into 1st gear and my rear tires locked up causing the rear end of my truck to swing out. This is the same issue that the 2014F150's have been recalled for. There were no warnings that this was going to happen. The event was sudden and unexpected. Fortunately I was able to gain positive control of the vehicle and get us to safety. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone and is currently sitting in a mechanic shop parking lot. Luckily this happened on pleasant summer day with optimal driving conditions. Had this happened in the winter months I am uncertain we would have been so lucky. My concern now is that I am going to have the repairs done and the truck will repeat the problem.

Put truck in reverse and backed up. Then put gear shift into Drive and the gear got stuck in Neutral and won't budge. A Ford recall for 2014 was issued the same day but I believe based on this same issue, 2015 models need to be included in the 6/25/2024 recall also.

While driving truck on road at approximately 45 mph, truck suddenly and without warning shifted into first gear. After the sudden downshift, the truck then recovered normal shifting for the remainder of the drive. This is the third time this has happened in one year. The first time it happened, I was towing an empty small lawn trailer on a secondary road, with truck in "tow" mode. while descending a hill in a sharp curve, the truck suddenly down shifted to first gear, remained there for a few seconds and then started shifting normally. After this happened, when trailer was unhooked, the display continued to show that a trailer was attached to truck for several days and then the display went back to normal. The second and third time this occurred, there was no trailer attached, and truck was in normal driving mode, and there was no warning, wrench, or check engine lights visible on the dash display before or after the downshift happened. Fortunately, up to this point, I have been able to avoid crashing the truck during these downshifts, but I feel this is a very dangerous and serious safety concern to myself and others. I have contacted the local Ford dealership twice regarding what to do about this problem. Today was told to "monitor" it, that they were booked for weeks ahead, and suggested I may want to go to another dealership. After the second time it happened, I inquired about paying out of pocket for any software update that may help with this problem and told that since my truck was not shown on a recall, that it may make the problem worse, and advised they could not do it. It was also suggested that with no lights on dash display and it being a random occurrence, it would be difficult and expensive to figure out. The vehicle is available for inspection at any time.

Without any warning signals or indications the fan blower has stopped working. It became a real safety hazard when I needed to defog my windshield and there was no air flow coming out of my vents. No warning, no signal. My windshield had fogged over and I had zero ability to defog due to not having any available airflow. Major safety issue!!

The door latches freeze during cold weather and prevent me from closing and latching the doors. Ford has previously attempted repairs to my vehicle under Customer Satisfaction Program 20M04, but the repairs have not worked. To further exacerbate the problem, Ford has told me they won't do any further repairs unless they can replicate the problem, but I live in the mid-Atlantic and the weather is not cold enough to reliably replicate the problem.

Last year while camping. I pulled into our camping spot. When I put my f150 into park. The right passenger door lock popped up and the door opened all by itself. I got out of the truck to shut the door but it would not close. After having my kid pull and holding the door knob up from inside. The door finally closed. But I did it again later on in the trip. It sounds like the same recall that is on other 2015 f150. The dealership here in Marysville ohio states that it not a recalled item. They want to charge me $600 plus the fix the kinked wire. I refuse to pay to have it fixed because it sounds like a recall. So the vehicle just sits in my driveway.

Vehicle has a catastrophic design flaw. If water enters the LED BLISS tail light assembly even in small amounts for anreason, including due to manufacturing defects, minor damage such as a crack, e treme wet weather, or wear and tear of seals, then numerous electrical failures occur of the entire warning system. This includes not only the tail lights, and blind spot backup and cross traffic systems, but catastrophic failure of all dashboard door and window controls. The vehicle cannot be easily unlocked including with remote, climate and accessories cannot be controlled. They vehicle can barely be operated and great expertise and expense required to return the vehicle to proper service. This has happened twice to this vehicle in 2022. Both times it was from minor damage to the taillight lens. Water entered the connectors for a network system which is critical to numerous vehicle safety and critical systems which are completely digital. The part required replacing is available only from a dealer as an OEM part and cost $500 plus labor. Research shows this is a widespread confusing problem, which renders high end models nearly inoperable with uncontrollable systems other than basic engine functions and subjecting consumers to great inconvenience and expense. The manufacturer does not appear to have offered recall services and only will repair or replace if the item fails under warranty. Under any interpretation this problem is a gross failure in engineering and safety. What other vehicles with a minor taillight problem have failure of a majority of systems? So many codes are thrown that the average technician and consumer must bear great expense to repair for diagnosis, and then replacement with extremely expensive parts only available from dealer.

Rear driver's door lock froze and wouldn't lock. Upper lock/latch latched on rear driver's side door, but lower lock/latch froze and wouldn't latch/lock. Had to drive to work with the lower lock not latched and wait for weather to warm up for latch/lock to release. Problem happens every year when the weather gets cold.

During driving the engine will shut down and the truck stops. Multiple engine lights will display on the dash expressing multiple systems fails. The wrench icon will display. The safety of others and myself were put at risk due to the truck shutting off during forward movement and putting everyone at risk of a rear end crash. Yes, the issue has be reproduced and confirmed through self driving and investigation into the issues via online UTube and Ford forums. The truck has been brought to a Ford dealership for inspection. The Ford dealership has stated the the aux trans pump has failed leading to a shut down in the system and presser build up in the engine leading to failure to valve covers and oil pan expansion. Currently Ford has a service bulletin for the oil pan and the related parts that must be replaced to fix the issues, however this is still at the cost to the public when Ford is aware of the issues that cause shut down to the engine. This is on a 2015 ford F-150 XLT, 4x4, 2.7 eco boost engine.

My 2015 F-150 3.5L ecoboost experienced a sudden loss of power during highway speeds and shut off. I was in rush hour traffic and almost caused a few accidents as my truck seemed like it went into "limp mode". While my steering wheel was tight I managed to get off the road safely with no power whatsoever. My idiot lights were flashing like crazy and stated "Advance Trac Service" and "Hill Start assist not available". I let the truck sit for a bit and restarted it. It ran solid another 15 miles. Today I'm getting Advance Trac message: "Advance Trac Service" and "Hill Start assist not available", all while the engine check light remains on. I have read multiple issues similar to mine but there does not seem to be a recall for this. This is a VERY unsafe ordeal and very scary. Had my daughter been driving, this may have been an accident for sure. I see Ford "extended" the warranty to cover any issues. But I do not drive my truck that often and I find it hard to believe nothing is being done about the "throttle body" issue (from my reading). This is even happening to Ford trucks overseas. I get they do not have any say in the US, bu it does show this is a MAJOR issue.

Panoramic sun roof sticks or wont open. I went to open it and heard a crack. It looked like the arm cracked. I taped it up because of the rain and now I am trying to fix it myself before the rain starts again. It has had many issues since I bought the vehicle brand new in 2015. I have never asked anyone to look at it because every experience I have had with this truck at the dealership has been very bad. The sunroof has been broken for about 9 months now. I found an online ford forum as I was searching on how to repair this and found out there are many more of us with the same issue. That is how I learned about this website. I never knew I could report an issue, and there have been many with this truck.

We are not sure what component or system failed or malfunctioned. The truck is available at this time for inspection, there wasn't much left of the truck after it caught on fire. The passengers in the truck were in danger, because they didn't realize the smoke they were smelling was coming from the truck they were riding in. It was not until one of the passengers said his arm was hot, it was then they realized the truck was on fire. The fire seemed to have started under the seat. I am not sure what caused it. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to this incident. The vehicle has been inspected by the insurance company, in which the truck is a total loss. The sheriff office and Fire Department were on the scene.

The truck shuts off at red lights. This is NOT the feature for gas saving. The engine completely dies. This is extremely dangerous. You are stuck in running traffic until it starts back up. The ford dealer said there are no service bulletins and they've never heard of it. But the F150 forum is full of examples, and Ford is not aware or fixing the issue. This happens several times a week.

I am not sure this is the place for this, but here goes.. my truck dropped my phone connection I tried to reload it, I deleted it and tried to re-install it. The truck told me it was looking for "BT". I called to Sync and they walked me thru a few things and said I need an upgrade, I have a 5.8 and I need a 5.11 program. My radio is a basic radio, no navigation nothing special. So I took it to the dealer and they tell me I need a APIM and the price is off the charts. I am not sure if this all is connected, but I also have problems with the radio controls on the steering wheel on an intermitten basis. I apologize if this is not the place for this complaint but I had to start some place, please advise where I might go from here. I don't feel an 8 yr old truck should be having issues like this already.

The rear sliding glass window frame has come loose on my 2015 F-150 (4Door), twice. It is a huge safety risk as the frame and middle glass window is left hanging causing potential danger for all passengers especially those seating in the rear of the cab. The issue has happened to several other F-150 owners. According to a window technician who fixed my window, he "see's this all the time," regarding 2015 and up F-150s. I had the recall on the door/latches done in December 2021 and here we are again and the door latches are freezing. The door either won't unlock and open or if it open then the door will not shut and I have had to drive holding the drivers door closed. I have had Ford look at it and they kept the truck over a cold night and they saw the issue. They have told me to replace the cables and door latch which parts and labor is 800.00. This to me is crazy because it's a known issue and me spending 800.00 is not a guarantee they won't freeze.

While driving at speeds between 10 and 55 MPH, I lose power and have to try to drift safely to the side of the road. Multiple dash lights come on (Blindspot System Fault, Cross Traffic System Fault, See Manual) and my drive indicator light strobes across all gears PRNDLM21 randomly. Some of the time the vehicle acts like it is in neutral. Other times it can inch forward at 5MPH. My safety is put at risk because I lose all power control while in traffic! I have had it in the Ford dealer shop for more than 6 weeks. It's been in there twice for the same problem and they cannot find a specific problem. Prior to this happening, there were not any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms. I have had to be towed from the side of the road twice now. Approximately 10 other times, I was able to wait for a period ranging from 5 - 30 minutes and then the vehicle was able to move again.

Many many times have had an issue with the vehicle turning off in the middle of the road. There is no check engine light to take to a dealer to diagnose. I could be at a red light, waiting to turn, it turns off at any moment. I’ve researched hours as to what it could be, many people have the same issue with no solution. It is absolutely unsafe.

The rear sliding window and it's frame on my 2015 F150 keeps falling out. Ford used sticky tape to hold it in place but the tape does not last very long before it falls out again. The local Ford agency said Ford had no fix except total replacement (at great expense). Seems foolish to replace it if sticky tape is still the Ford "fix." I suspect that the changing temperatures may be part of the problem but the main problem seems to be securing a window frame with nothing more than double-sided sticky tape. This could be a safety hazard to a rear seat passenger or to the driver (or another passing vehicle) if the window frame departs during travel.

while riding along the highway, lights came on something about a hill startt I wasnt driving on a hill also check service manual, truck slowed with no ability to press gas for movement. I had to get to the shoulder, which was very unsafe since i could not move at speed limit. I got to the shoulder and put it in park and shut it off. I could immediately start it again. Check engine light appeared and disappeared randomly. This happened more than a dozen times though I avoided the highway again. I took it to Autozone which does a free diagnoses. Error P2112 which was throttle assembly. I have an extended warranty but it is not covered. My truck i now at the Ford dealership to be repaired. Since defect is not covered I must pay out of pocket, my rental is also not covered. Since repair shops are so busy, I have no idea when my vehicle will be returned to me.

While trying to accelerate, my truck repeatedly lost all engine power with multiple alarms lighting up on the console. My only option was to gradually pull to the side of the road, shut off the truck and restart. Problem quickly got worse to the point that I was lucky to go a hundred yards before the problem occurred. Luckily, it was late in the evening without much traffic. I was able to coast down a hill and into the parking lot of a repair shop. This same situation occurred in 2020 and a Ford dealer identified a failed throttle body. Even though this seems to be a common problem, there was no recall or warranty so I had to pay to replace the Throttle Body. I now have to pay for yet another throttle body. Very serious safety issue losing control of a full size truck.

Left rear door will not lock--either electronically or manually. There is no warning or indication that it is not locked, except to observe the the lock indicator post does not drop when the locking the vehicle, (unlikely to be noticed). I recently discovered this only by pulling the outside door handle when the vehicle was locked, and it opened. I have not had this inspected, though it appears to be a failure of the lock actuator--unrelated to the water-related failures of previous complaints and recalls. This presents a safety risk for any passenger sitting next to that door--especially a child, since the child safety lock mechanism on this door will not function because the door will not lock.

Our Ford Vehicle would suddenly lose power as we were driving it and our wrench light came on. I had to pull over as best I could as everything stopped. It certainly could have put us in a dangerous situation at any time we were driving it. We did bring into a Ford Dealer and it was diagnosed with a bad Throttle Body. It was repaired at full cost to us. We do not feel this was a problem caused by us and was, apparently,04/18/ a frequent issue with some Ford vehicles but never recalled. At this time, we are looking for reimbursement for the cost of the repair and labor.

Panoramic Sun Roof It has failed twice now. The Date below is the second failure. It happened the first time right after I bought the truck. I had the Ford Dealership fix it once and it has happened again. It costs a lot to get it fixed. Components break down inside sliding track causing sunroof to be lodged open. Once this happens, the Sunroof sticks and can not be controlled (opened or closed) This seems to be major problem with 2015 F150's . Tons of complaints online. Yes, this is a safety issue.

I auto started the truck and about 10 minutes into warm up the rear window shattered as I was putting items in the bed of the truck. Glass preceded to fall off the window, and there is still a residual burn electrical smell. I believe this is a result of the rear defroster. I have filed an insurance claim to replace the rear window. There were zero warnings, lamps etc. It sounded like a gunshot.

On 2/26/22 I had to use the jack that was included with the truck to try to lift the rear passenger side wheel in order to change a flat tire. The bed of the truck was empty so the jack only had to lift the weight of the vehicle. This was the first time that I had attempted to use the jack. I placed the jack in the proper position as indicated by the user manual. After lifting the truck wheel approximately 2-4" the handle of the jack broke by twisting and shearing off below the hook. Stranding the truck on the jack. Using a floor jack I was able to extract Ford's car jack from under the truck noticing that the threaded rod in the jack was bent. This jack is a potential crush hazard as it is not strong enough to lift up the vehicle that it was included with when the vehicle is unloaded.

The rear passenger doors, more commonly the passenger rear door will not unlock. On several occasions I have had to repeatedly lock and then unlock the door system to eventually enable the doors to open. This poses as a potential safety hazard if the driver and/or front passenger were incapacitated. The rear passengers could potentially be trapped in the vehicle and unable to reach a safe distance in the event of a fire or water hazard.

I get all these errors and wrench sign and see the manual sign while driving and engine turns off and we have to pull over to safety even on freeways while traffic is behind u coming at 65 or 75 mph. It has happened more than 8 times , we took it to Ford dealer in September and they gave us 11/8/21 appointment that was 2 months far and we keep having the same problem and we think it is a BIG safety recall issue as lots of people are complaining about it in different Ford Forums since 2014. We are wondering how come Ford has not recalled this issue yet ? After u turn off the engine on a busy freeway for 5 mins engine turns on and pulling it back on the freeway is a challenge and safety issue too and it gets worse when AC is ON and temperature is above 78 .... it does it randomly and very frequently when AC is ON. They are complaining for 6 years ! WOW !!

Sliding back window top trim fell off and window is hanging out this is a safety reason in my opinion because my grandchildren were in the backseat imagine what would happen if it was an impact with something who knows where that back window would’ve went. I had conversation on messenger with Ford. ladies name was Amelia and there is no recall on this item my truck is out of warranty so I will be responsible to have it fixed. Vehicle stops from going forward when driving or it will not move forward when starting. Vehicle idles rough but it does not move it goes into a dead mode. The issue has been diagnosed as having a faulty throttle body. The throttle body has been replaced once already but the problem persists. This is unsafe as the vehicle ceases to move forward when driving down the road.

Happened on major Roadways and on a highway. Looked to see if others were having this problem, seems to be common for F150 owners as a throttle body issue. Had looked at and it is indeed a throttle body issue. Extremely dangerous.

In the 15 F150 the rear sliding window bracket becomes loose and falls down. If you do not notice it beforehand the sliding window will become a flying projectile in the event of a car accident or hard braking. This is extremely unsafe with car seats in the back seat. I've owned 2 15 F150s and they both did the same thing. It's just a matter of time before this becomes a serious incident.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start while turning the ignition switch. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission range sensor was faulty, and the lead frame assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. On 7/30/2021, I was driving and the truck shut off. If another vehicle would have been behind me, it would have hit the rear end of my vehicle. This occurred twice within minutes apart. I have not taken it to a dealer but plan to tomorrow or Monday. The warning lamps that said service advancetrack, see manual with a wrench symbol, with an oil symbol and a temperature symbol under it in red, hill assist mode. The same thing occurred on 7/29/2021 twice as I was leaving work. I was going less than 15 mph. The engine coolant and over temperature also displayed.

I REMOVED THE DOOR GASKET AND THE WATER DRAINED FROM THE BOTTOM HOLES THAT HOLDS THE DOOR GASKET ANCHORS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. COLLECTED CLOSE TO A HALF GALLON OF RAIN WATER. AS I WAS DRIVING I COULD HEAR THE WATER MOVING AROUND IN THE DOOR PANEL AND ORIGINALLY ASSUMED THAT IT WAS THE GAS IN THE GAS TANK, HOWEVER, AFTER I OPENED THE REAR DRIVERSIDE DOOR, I HEARD THE WATER MOVING AROUND INSIDE THE DOOR PANEL. WATER COLLECTS WHEN DRIVING AND WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY.

I JUMPED INTO THE DRIVERS SEAT (THE DOOR HAD BEEN LEFT AJAR) AND PRESSED THE BRAKE TO STOP THE TRUCK. THE KEYS WERE NOT IN THE IGNITION, THE GEAR SHIFT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. THE EXTRA PARKING BRAKE WAS NOT BEING USED. THE PARKING LOT WAS VERY LEVEL, THERE WAS NO SLOPE AT ALL. ONCE WE HAD THE OBJECT WE WERE LOADING SECURED WE PUSHED THE TRUCK AND IT WAS STILL ABLE TO BE MOVED. YOU CAN HEAR THE MECHANISM TRYING TO UNLIKE BECAUSE IT'S AN ELECTRONIC LOCKING/UNLOCKING SYSTEM BUT IT WON'T OPEN. TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE REPLACING THESE ACTUATORS IN THE TAIL GATE WITH THEIR OWN MONEY AND I BELIEVE FORD AND IT'S SUPPLIERS SHOULD BE RESOLVING THIS ISSUE. ELECTRIC REAR TAILGATE FALLS DOWN RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING AT SPEED OR EVEN WHILE PARKED. TAILGATE HAS FALLEN 5-6 TIMES WHILE TRUCK IS PARKED IN LAST FEW MONTHS AND ALSO 5+ TIMES WHILE CAR IS DRIVING. IT HAS FALLEN WHILE TRUCK WAS IN REVERSE, AND WHILE TRUCK WAS TRAVELING ON COUNTRY ROADS AT SPEEDS OF ~40MPH. PLEASE NOTE - THIS ISSUE SEEMS IDENTICAL TO THE ONE FORD JUST ANNOUNCED A RECALL FOR ON THE 2017-2019 F-250 SUPERDUTY TRUCKS. IT MUST BE RELATED. FOR YEARS FORD HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE HEAT/AC IN THEIR PICKUPS. THE HEAT WILL STOP ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND WILL BLOW NOTHING BUT COLD AIR. THIS IS THE SECOND F-150 THAT I HAVE HAD WITH THIS PROBLEM. IT IS CAUSED BY A FAULTY BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR. INSTEAD OF FORD CORRECTING THE PROBLEM BY DESIGNING A NEW ACTUATOR, THEY CONTINUE TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PART WITH THE SAME PART THAT WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR OLDER PEOPLE OR THOSE WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THE VARIOUS INTERNET HELP PAGES. FORD IS MAKING A LOT OF MONEY REPLACING THIS SECOND RATE PART BECAUSE THE COMPLETE DASH HAS TO BE REMOVED JUST TO REPLACE THE ACTUATOR. IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND SOME, SUCH AS ME, CANNOT AFFORD TP PAY SOMEWHERE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF $1,000 FOR THIS REPAIR JUST TO HAVE THE NEW PART FAIL.

CRESCENT FORD TRUCKS, THE DEALER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM, SAID THAT THE HOLE IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS THERE BY DESIGN TO DRAIN WATER. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THE EPA WOULD BE HAPPY WITH A HOLE FROM WHICH EXHAUST GASES CAN ESCAPE BEFORE THEY ARE TREATED BY THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. HOPEFULLY I AM REPORTING THIS TO THE RIGHT AGENCY

IN EARLY SEPTEMBER OF 2019, I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 FORD F-150 ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MPH. SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND LOST ALL POWER AS THE DASHBOARD LITE UP WITH SOME KIND OF TRACTION WARNING. I DRIFTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND PUT IT IN PARKED. THE WHOLE VEHICLE SHOOK SIGNIFICANTLY AT THIS POINT. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAITED ABOUT 2MINUTES. I STARTED THE TRUCK UP AND WENT ON MY WAY WITH NO PROBLEM. (NOTE: THIS INCIDENT WAS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AS I WAS ON A MAJOR ROADWAY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. MY 10 AND 8 YEAR OLD GRANDCHILDREN WERE IN THE BACK SEAT). A FEW WEEKS AND A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES LATER, I WAS ON A NARROW MOUNTAIN ROAD GOING ABOUT 45 MPH WHEN THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE FORD DEALER AFTER BOTH OCCURRENCES, BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. ON WEDNESDAY, 6-26-19 AT APPROX. 3:15 PM MY TRUCK WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY AND HAD BEEN PARKED THERE SINCE APPROX. NOON MONDAY. TEMP. WAS IN THE LOW 90'S WITH PARTIAL SUN. THE TRUCK WAS SITTING IN PARTIAL SHADE. I GOT INTO THE TRUCK TO RUN ERRANDS AND SHUT THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. I THEN HEARD A POP AND SOMETHING MOVING. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING SINCE I HADN'T EVEN STARTED THE ENGINE YET. I LOOKED BACKWARDS TO WHERE THE SOUND WAS COMING FROM AND THAT'S WHEN I SAW THE ENTIRE REAR WINDOW HAD EXPLODED AND WAS IN A MILLION PIECES. SHARDS WERE INSIDE THE TRUCK, ON THE CONCRETE, IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK AND IN BETWEEN THE CAB AND THE BED OF THE TRUCK. MOST OF THE SHARDS LANDED OUTSIDE THE CAB. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED THIS. I'VE HAD THE TRUCK SINCE IT WAS NEW. FIRST AS MY COMPANY WORK TRUCK AND THEN I PURCHASED IT AS PART OF MY RETIREMENT. THE TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND TO MY KNOWLEDGE THE REAR WINDOW HAS NEVER BEEN DAMAGED. THE WINDOW WAS A SOLID CAN BE HEATED. IT EXPLODED SO BAD THERE IS REALLY NO PICTURE NEEDED. ALL THAT REMAINS OF GLASS IS WHAT IS GLUED DOWN ON THE EDGES. I'M GETTING IT REPAIRED TOMORROW. LOCAL FORD DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT ACTED LIKE THIS WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM; ONE SAID WE WILL FIX IT IF YOUR INSURANCE WILL PAY OF IT. ANOTHER PERSON SAID WOW, THAT'S UNUSUAL WE CAN'T HELP YOU, CALL FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'VE SEEN MANY INSTANCES ON THE INTERNET OF THE VERY SAME THING HAPPENING AND ALSO WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPEN IF I HAD MY GRANDCHILDREN IN THEIR SEATS AND THAT WINDOW DID THAT. I GOT CUT ENOUGH JUST CLEANING UP THE MESS.

THE 2-PANEL MOON ROOF THAT CAME INSTALLED WITH THE TRUCK HAS MALFUNCTIONED. IT IS RARELY USED BUT AT ABOUT 40K MILES (WHILE STATIONARY), THE GLASS WOULD NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. AFTER MANIPULATION, I WAS ABLE TO GET IT CLOSED BUT IT WILL NOT OPEN AGAIN. IT SOUNDS AS IF THERE WAS "CRUNCHING" OF PLASTIC ON PLASTIC AS THE ROOF CLOSED. THE REAR EDGE OF THE FRONT GLASS WILL TILT BUT NOT FULLY. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD AND THEY ARE AWARE THAT IT IS AN ISSUE DUE TO INFERIOR PARTS BUT HAVE FAILED TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THE ISSUE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND HAVE NOTICED THAT MANY OTHER OWNERS HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT AND SOME HAVE EXPERIENCED THE GLASS SHATTERING.

WHILE USING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ON MY 2015 FORD F-150 (KING RANCH), MY TRUCK WILL CONFUSE A DUMP TRUCK AS A STOPPED OR SLOW MOVING VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MY TRUCK. THIS WILL HAPPEN IF A DUMP TRUCK IS IN THE LANE BESIDE ME OR IN OPPOSING LANES. THIS OCCURS AT SOW AND HIGH SPEEDS. MULTIPLE TIMES THIS HAS OCCURRED AT 65MPH+ IN TRAFFIC. THE TRUCK WILL VERY ABRUPTLY APPLY THE BREAKS AND THE COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM WILL ALERT. THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED VERY SERIOUS WRECKS DUE TO THE SPEEDS THAT IT OFTEN OCCURS. THIS IS ALSO NOT A SELDOM OCCURANCE, IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I PASS BY A DUMP TRUCK. IT WILL OCCUR ON ANY AND EVERY STREET. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A FORD DELEARSHIP AND THEIR SOLUTION HAD NO EFFECT ON THE ISSUE.

I HAVE A FORD F150 LARIAT THAT IS NOT 33 MONTHS OLD, HOWEVER I HAVE 49K MILES. ON 4/17/18, MY REPLACEMENT MADE THE SAME AWFUL SOUND AND IS BROKEN AGAIN THE MOONROOF MAKES A LOUD CRACKING SOUND LIKE IT WILL BREAK. IT THEN GETS STUCK OPEN OR CLOSED, BUT SOMETIMES NOT FULLY CLOSED. YOU HAVE TO PUSH IT WITH YOUR HAND WHILE PUSHING THE BUTTON SOMETIMES TO GET IT TO SEAL SHUT IN THE CASE OF RAIN OR OVERNIGHT. THERE IS A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THIS AND THIS IS QUITE REGULAR FOR FORD MOONROOFS. THEY SHOULD RECALL AND REIMBURSE ME FOR THE $2.1K I SPENT.

FORD IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND SENT NO NOTICE TO US, THE DOOR STILL WON'T CLOSE THE TRUCK HAS BEEN SITTIN FOR OVER A WEEK NOW. I REQUESTED FURTHER LOOK FOR CAUSE OF NOISE, SERVICE ADVISOR SAID QUICK LANE WOULD CHECK SUSPENSION?. 2 HRS LATER, NOTHING SEEN, NOTHING HEARD, NOTHING REPAIRED. AS I PULLED AWAY FROM DEALERSHIP, HAVING SIGNED OFF ON SERVICE, THE TRUCK IMMEDIATELY BEGAN MAKING THE NOISE [FUNNY SERV ADVSR DIDN'T HEAR WHEN HE BROUGHT TRUCK AROUND?]. I DROVE LESS THAN 1/10 MILE BACK TO DEALERSHIP, TOOK THE SERVICE ADVISOR FOR RIDE; AT WHICH POINT HE ACKNOWLEDGED HE HEARD NOISE, BUT TRIED TO ASSURE ME IT'S A 'TIRE ISSUE.' MY HUSBAND AND I BELIEVE OTHERWISE - THIS IS NOT TIRE NOISE, THE NOISE NEVER CRESCENDOS OR CHANGES PITCH WITH INCREASE OR DECREASE SPEED, ON GRAVEL OR ASPHALT, AND WE HAVE NEVER FELT 'TIRE NOISE' IN BRAKE PEDAL. THIS NOISE/FRICTION MERELY CEASES AFTER YOU'VE DRIVEN A FEW MINUTES [FOR NOW]. SERVICE ADVISOR ASSURED ME I WAS NOT DOING ANY FURTHER DAMAGE TO TRUCK, CONTINUING TO DRIVE IT WITHOUT RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. I ASKED HIM IF I NEEDED NEW TIRES, HE SAID INDEED NOT, MINE ARE IN GREAT SHAPE [ORIGINAL TIRES] WITH 63,000 MILES ON THEM [BUT IT'S A TIRE ISSUE?]. SOMETHING'S UP [SIMILAR CONCERNS HAVE BEEN RAISED IN FORUMS ON THE INTERNET- ALONG WITH DEALER DISMISSAL/FAILURE TO RESOLVE. WE WANT OUR TRUCK REPAIRED [RESOLUTION OF THESE MECHANICAL FAILURES] WHILE IT'S UNDER WARRANTY, OR WE WANT A NEW VEHICLE.

ALL OF THIS HAPPENING WHILE THE CAR BEHIND ME IS ALMOST SIDEWAYS TRYING TO AVOID ME. I EVENTUALLY MADE IT TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. AS I READ THE VARIOUS WARNINGS IT SAID TO REFER TO THE OWNERS MANUAL WITH REGARDS TO THE HILL CLIMB ASSIST. I TURNED THE IGNITION OFF, PULLED OUT THE OWNERS MANUAL ONLY TO FIND A DESCRIPTION OF THE HILL CLIMB ASSIST FEATURE. AFTER WAITING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES I DECIDED TO TURN ON THE IGNITION. MY TRUCK ODOMETER SHOWS I HAVE 26582 MILES ON THE TRUCK. AND THE ENGINE HOURS SHOWS I HAVE 867 HOURS. HOWEVER RUSTY WALLACE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID I HAVE 63000 MILES ACCORDING TO THE PCM!!! I HAVE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO FIX THE TRUCK UNDER WARRANTY. I CONTENT THAT THE TRUCK IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY I HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING TO THE ODOMETER. MY VEHICLE IS NOW AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP. MY VEHICLE WAS BOTH STATIONARY AND IN MOTION AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT ON CITY STREETS AND FREEWAY. BRAKE FAILURE. PEDAL WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR. WARNING LIGHT INDICATED LOW FLUID. TOOK IMMEDIATELY FOR SERVICE AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD FAILED AND ALSO BRAKE FLUID HAD LEAKED INTO THE BOOSTER. BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN STATIONARY FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE DRIVING. WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AFTER FIRST ATTEMPT TO APPLY BRAKES. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO FORD DEALER WITH VERY MINIMAL BRAKING ABILITY BUT NOT COMPLETE LOSS.

HAS OCCURRED THREE TIMES IN THE PAST WEEK. FORTUNATELY ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. IS CURRENTLY AT DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE. SIGNIFICANT HIGHWAY SAFETY HAZARD.

GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH MY DAUGHTER AND WIFE IN TRUCK AND THE GAS PEDAL IS STUCK, THERE WAS NO WHERE TO PULL OVER SO I TOOK THE NEXT EXIT AND PUT TRUCK IN N AND SHUT IT OFF. THIS WAS AT 4000 MILES. CALLED DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THEY REALLY COULDN'T HELP BECAUSE THERE WAS NO CODE. THEN A FEW MONTHS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON THE HIGHWAY, THIS TIME WE COULD PULL OVER AND MY WIFE VIDEO TAPED IT AND TOOK BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND DEMANDED SOMETHING BE DONE. THEY REPLACED THE GAS PEDAL IN HOPES THAT IT WORKS. THIS HAPPENED AT 8000 MILES. ALSO THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR DOESN'T LATCH IN FREEZING TEMPS. THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T FIND A PROBLEM SO IT WAS NOT FIXED.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD TELLING ME TO BRING THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL REPROGRAMMED. I DID HAVE THIS WORK DONE. AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE I HAD AN INCIDENT WHERE I WAS PASSING AN 18 WHEELER AND THE TRUCK SET OFF THE COLLISION WARNING ALARM AND APPLIED THE BRAKES HARD. IF SOMEONE WAS FOLLOWING CLOSELY IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A COLLISION. THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC IN MY LANE FOR AT LEAST 1/4 MILE AHEAD. FORD HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL IN RESOLVING THIS ISSUE AND THEIR ONLY SUGGESTION IS TO TURN OFF THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR WHAT I FEEL IS AN IMPORTANT AND USEFUL SAFETY FEATURE AND WANT FORD TO FIX THE SYSTEM SO IT WILL NOT MALFUNCTION AND POSSIBLY CAUSE A REAR END COLLISION.

I JUST SPENT 15 MINUTES OUT IN -4 DEGREE WEATHER TRYING TO GET IT TO CLOSE. I'VE HAD IT SERVICED ONCE AND IT STILL DOES IT. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, I ALSO READ ONLINE OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. SEEMS LIKE A PRETTY BIG SAFETY HAZARD IF YOU LIVE IN A NORTHERN CLIMATE WHERE IT GETS COLD.

I OWN A 2015 F150 WITH A VERY FRUSTRATING ISSUE. IT SEEMS THE DOOR LOCKS CEASE WORKING DURING COLD TEMPERATURES. THE ISSUE IS SPORADIC, AND AFFECTS EITHER ALL DOORS, OR SOME OF THE DOORS WHEN IT OCCURS. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THIS, WAS IN THE MORNING. TO MY SURPRISE, MY SON WAS ABLE TO OPEN MY DOOR WITHOUT UNLOCKING IT. I RECALL LOCKING IT AND HEARING THE BEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE. I ASKED MY SON TO SHUT THE DOOR, I CLICKED THE LOCK BUTTON TWICE AND HEARD THE HONK. I THEN WENT TO OPEN THE DOOR AND IT OPENED! MY TRUCK HAD BEEN LEFT UNSECURED THROUGH THE NIGHT, AND MANY OTHER NIGHTS FOR ALL I KNOW. I THOUGHT THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A FLUKE, SO I WENT ABOUT MY DAY, AND DID NOT EXPERIENCE THIS AGAIN FOR ABOUT A WEEK. WHEN I EXPERIENCED THIS AGAIN, I WAS ON A LUNCH BREAK AND I HAD DRIVEN TO A LOCAL SPOT WHERE I LIKE TO JOG. WHEN I DO THIS, I LEAVE MY KEY IN THE TRUCK AND USE THE KEYPAD FEATURE AS TO AVOID CARRYING EVERYTHING WITH ME. I PUSHED DOWN THE LOCKING ROD, SHUT THE DOOR AND WENT ON MY JOG. WHEN I RETURNED, I ENTERED IN MY CODE, I HEARD AN UNLOCKING NOISE (TURNED OUT TO JUST BE MY TAILGATE), BUT I COULD NOT OPEN MY DOOR. I TRIED AGAIN, BUT AGAIN WAS UNABLE TO OPEN MY DOOR. I TRIED MY OTHER DOORS, NO LUCK. I WAS STUCK WITHOUT KEYS, WALLET, PHONE (IN MY TRUCK). I HAD TO FIND A RIDE HOME TO GET MY OTHER KEY TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR. I ENDED UP MISSING THE REST OF WORK, EVEN MISSED AN IMPORTANT MEETING. THIS LAST HAPPENED WITH MY SON IN THE BACK SEAT, WHERE HE WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE, AND I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM OUTSIDE, AND THIS SIMPLY GOT MY IMAGINATION RUNNING TO THE POTENTIAL SAFETY RISK. IT IS NOW AT A DEALER WHO CANNOT DUPLICATE, SO NO FIX. THIS ALL NOT TO MENTION THE INCH OF WATER I HAD AT MY FEET WHEN IT LEAKED, OR THE LOOSE PART IN THE DRIVER DOOR KNOCKING AROUND THAT THEY "CANT" DUPLICATE. MAJOR QC CONCERN.

AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 32 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT, THE DOOR LOCKS AND LOCK MECHANISMS WILL INTERMITTENTLY FREEZE IN AN OPENED OR CLOSED POSITION. AT TIMES, DOORS WILL NOT STAY SHUT WHEN ATTEMPTS ARE MADE TO CLOSE THEM FROM THE INSIDE; THIS OCCURS ON ALL 4 DOORS. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, THE DOORS HAVE OPENED, REQUIRING THE PASSENGER AND/OR DRIVER TO PHYSICALLY HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN INSPECTED BY THE LOCAL FORD DEALER, HOWEVER THEY STATED THAT FORD HAS NOT RELEASED A RELIABLE REMEDY FOR THE PROBLEM. OTHER CUSTOMERS HAD THEIR VEHICLES IN REPAIR FOR THE SAME REASON.

NEW 2015 F150 WITH A VIBRATION/ SHUDDER COMING FROM WHAT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSFER CASE OR POSSIBLY THE DRIVE SHAFT. HAPPENS WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT FROM GEAR TO GEAR, AND ON INCLINES...FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL. ALSO HAPPENS WHEN JUST CRUISING AT CERTAIN SPEEDS. I'VE HAD IT TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS FINE BUT THEY HAVE FELT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND ONES ON THEIR LOT. VIBRATION COULD LEAD TO MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM AND ACTUALLY STALL THE VEHICLE WHILE IN TRAFFIC.

THIS MORNING THE TEMP. WAS 6 DEGREES OUTSIDE, MY TRUCK WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE I OPENED THE DOOR GOT IN AND STARTED THE VEHICLE. ONCE I TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR DRIVER DOOR IT WOULDN'T LATCH CLOSE. I TRIED TO UNLOCK/LOCK IT FROM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE BUT STILL WOULD LATCH CLOSED. INSTEAD OF GETTING IT TOED TO A DEALER I HAD TO DRIVE WHILE HOLDING MY DOOR CLOSED. ONCE I GOT TO WORK (30 MILE DRIVE) THE DOOR BEGAN TO LATCH AGAIN... THIS PUT ME IN A SAFETY RISK AND IT IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THE NEW F150'S FROM READING THE FORUM COMMUNITY. PLEASE HELP GET FORD TO FIX IT. THE DEALER JUST WANTED TO SPRAY LUBE EXTERNALLY ON THE DOOR MECHANISM WHICH DOES NOTHING.

UNDER COLD TEMPERATURE (BELOW FREEZING) MY DRIVER DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH CLOSE. IT HAS HAPPED EARLY IN THE MORNING (FIRST DRIVE) AND AFTER MY DRIVE TO WORK IN THE PARKING LOT. IT HAS HAPPENED TWO MORNINGS IN A ROW: FIRST MORNING TEMPERATURE WAS 20F AND SECOND MORNING WAS 33F. THE INSIDE HANDLE FEELS HARDER TO PRESS PRIOR TO THE DOOR STOPPING TO LATCH. AS SOON AS THE TEMPERATURE GET WARMER THE DOOR WORKS FINE. FORD HAS ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN (15-0052) FOR THIS ISSUE FOR TRUCKS BUILT PRIOR TO MARCH 2015, BUT MY TRUCK (8/2015 BUILT) AND A CO-WORKER'S TRUCK BUILT AFTER MARCH ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. FORUM ON THE INTERNET ARE BUZZING WITH THIS ISSUE NOW THAT TEMPERATURES HAVE DROPPED BELOW FREEZING.

HAPPENED EVEN WHEN WE HAVEN'T HAD RAIN FOR FOUR DAYS AND THE TRUCK WAS NOT WASHED. I SEE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM POSTED ON F150 FORUMS. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THIS OCCURRED BUT WAS BEING DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WITH UNSECURED DRIVERS DOOR.

ACCIDENT NOV. 17, 2015 - SOMEONE RAN A RED LIGHT AND TURNED IN FROM OF US - DAMAGE TO BUMPER, GRILL, SEEMED RATHER LIGHT, BUT "RAILS" WERE DAMAGED. PARTS UNAVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. LOCAL DEALER HAS HAD OUR TRUCK FOR 50 DAYS NOW- MORE THAN WE'VE HAD IT. PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT ALL PARTS ARE GOING TO PRODUCTION, AND WAS EVEN TOLD THAT THERE AREN'T ANY NOW FOR PRODUCTION BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER OF THIS PARTICULAR PART MADE THEM WRONG AND HAD TO RE-MAKE THE ORDER. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS ANOTHER VEHICLE THERE THAT HAS BEEN WAITING 3-4 MONTHS FOR PARTS! I NEED MY TRUCK BACK AND CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG FOR REPAIRS THAT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN 2 WEEKS, MAX. IF FORD IS WILLING TO SELL ME A VEHICLE (OVER $45,000) THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE A SYSTEM IN PLACE TO GET EVEN THE LESS FREQUENTLY NEEDED PARTS WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED. I WANT A REPLACEMENT F-150 SINCE THEY ARE UNWILLING TO PROVIDE THE NEEDED REPLACEMENT PARTS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS PAYING FOR A RENTAL CAR, BUT IT'S A COMPACT, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, AND IT CERTAINLY CAN'T TOW THE TRAVEL TRAILER THAT WE USE AT LEAST EVERY OTHER WEEKEND. WE HAVE ALREADY MISSED 4 TRIPS AND WHO KNOWS WHEN WE'LL GET OUR TRUCK BACK. WE ARE A ONE-VEHICLE, VERY ACTIVE FAMILY, SO THIS HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE INCONVENIENCE FOR US. FORD OWES US A NEW F-150! THE AUTO START FEATURE OF THE 2.7L ENGINE CAUSES THE ENGINE TO ALMOST STALL WHEN LEAVING A STOP SIGN OR LIGHT. IF THE AUTO START IS ON AND SHUTS DOWN THE ENGINE AS YOU WANT TO GO, THE ENGINE WILL ALMOST STALL OUT CAUSING YOU TO BE IN THE INTERSECTION WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO ACCELERATE. THIS FEATURE CAN BE TURNED OFF BUT IT MUST BE DONE EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS STARTED. STALLING IN THE INTERSECTION IS A BIG PROBLEM. FORD WILL NOT TURN OFF THIS FEATURE AND I FEEL THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE FORD OFFER THE OPTION TO TURN THIS FEATURE OFF PERMANENTLY.
