TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, HE NOTICED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER AND CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO OPERATE. IN ADDITION, THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 8V051000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CRUISE CONTROL) HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE SIMILAR DEFECT AS MENTIONED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM.
