THE DRIVER NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE STARTED PERFORMING POORLY. A LOUD NOTICE FOLLOWED. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT LEFT AND RIGHT AXLE NEEDED REPLACEMENT DUE TO CORROSION. *NM *BF
TRANSMISSION FAILED, AND A CERTIFED MECHANIC PUT IN A REBUILD TRANSMISSION IN JUNE. NOW IN NOVEMBER TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED AGAIN. VEHICLE STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS WHEN GOING UP A HILL, IT FELT LIKE IT JUMPING OUT OF GEAR.*AK
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED FOR THE SECOND TIME. FIRST TIME AT 127,000 AND SECOND TIME AT 195,000. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY HAS FAILED, THIS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS IS A COMMON FAILURE IN THE 1994 POWER STROKE TRUCKS. IN FACT THE DEALER IN THE AREA STATED ON 10-23-99 THIS IS THE WEAK LEAK OF THE 94'S. BY ALL INFO THAT I HAVE GATHERED FORD KNOWS THIS AND MADE A DESIGN CHANGE IN THE 95 MODEL YEAR. AND THE RESONS THAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NO RECALL IS BECAUSE IT IS ISOLATED TO JUST THE 94'S. IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR MY ABILITY TO KNOW WHAT TO DO, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A MAJOR MULTI-CAR ACCIDENT. I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, POWERING UP TO MERGE IN WHEN THE CLUTCH UNLOADED. ANY ASSSITANCE OR INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SUBJECT WOULD BE GREATLY APPERCIATED. THANK YOU COLIN FARRELL
NONE OTHER THAN TRANMISSION IS BAD AT UNDER 100,000 MILES FIX IT !!!!!!!!!!!
MY TRUCK HAD A REBUILT TRANSMISSION IN JUNE OF 1997 ONLY ONE YEAR AFTER I PURCHASE IT. SMALL PROBLEMS STILL OCCURRED HERE AND THERE, BUT IN JUNE OF 1999 MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO ACT UP AGAIN NOT SHIIFTING RIGHT, WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO A FORD DEALER FOR REPAIR I DROVE IT IN, WHEN THEY WERE DONE WITH THE TRUCK I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED OUT OF THERE AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME 700 DOLLARS, I BROUGHT IT TO THE MAN WHO DID THE REBUILT ONE AND HE GOT IT RUNNING SAID IT WAS FIXED SO I PAID ANOTHER 640 DOLLARS THEN DROVE DOWN THE STREET AND IT STILL WAS NOT REPAIRED, IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE IT WAS WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP. I HAVE SPENT 3400 DOLLARS ON REPAIRS FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK, WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE. I KNOW I OWN A LEMON. *AK
PE94087, WHILE DRIVING, WITH NO WARNING, NO BURNING SMELL AND GAUGE BEING NORMAL, A FIRE STARTED UNDERNEATH THE HOOD AND BURNED THE VEHICLE. OCCUPANT AND FIRE MARSHALL CLAIMED THAT FIRE CAME FROM THE TRANSMISSION COOLER LINES. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION AND VIN#. *AK

IF TRUCK IS ROCKED BACK & FORTH, CANNOT TELL IF IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE OR STILL IN 2-WHEEL DRIVE/MIGHT ENGAGE OR MIGHT NOT ENGAGE. TOOK TO DEALER & MECHANIC REPLACED HUB, BUT DID NOT CHECK VEHICLE BEFORE DOING SO. *AK
TRANSMISSION SPOUT CONNECTOR HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE VEHICLE CAME FROM THE FACTORY. THIS WAS DISCOVERED WHEN TRANSMISSION WAS REMOVED TO ALLOW FOR REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE.
OWNER HAS ABS BRAKES. THE REAR BEARING SEAL AND HOUSING LEAKING, CAUSING PROBLEMS. IN ADDITION, ALL FOUR WHEELS LOCKED UP, BUT MOSTLY IN REAR. *AK
THE SLAVE PISTON HOUSING FAILED, IT CRACKED AND STARTED TO LEAK.
THE TRANSFER CASE FAILED.
DEFECT IN THE TRANSMISSION--TRANSMISSION CASE RAN OUT OF OIL AND GEARS LOCKED DOWN.
TRANSFER CASE RAN OUT OF OIL AND CAUSED THE GEARS TO LOCK WHILE DRIVING.
SLAVE CYLINDER HOUSING CRACKED 3 TIMES.
TRANSMISSION BELT LEAKED FLUID IN THE ENGINE RESULTING IN A ENGINE COMPARMENT FIRE PE94-089. *AK

TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES FAILED DUE TO BROKEN SERPENTINE BELT. *AK
