Driving on Pa turnpike twice this year and at 70 mph my 2012 ford f 250 with 79000 miles on it started shaking uncontrollably , had my wife and granddaughter with me and they cried and screamed till it stopped. Going to the dealer to see what Ford is going to fix for me before someone is killed ! Hopefully a recall or free fix! I have been educated that this has been an on going issue in many F250 Fords.

Today 11/21/24, I notified my husband as I am driving up the ramp going 50 my ford started to shake hard. I had to hold on to the steering wheel and pull over with out pressing the break. I came to a stop and kept him on the phone in case I were to flip over. The vehicle stopped wobbling and I started up again. I was not able to drive but less than 40 and again the wobble coming back. The commute for me was over 1 hour. I would not make it alive home. This vehicle had to go to the shop as if I were to drive home I would not be alive at this moment

The front suspension randomly shakes when doing speeds above 60 on the freeway. It’s very dangerous especially because we almost experienced running into a semi while driving on I-50 between a cement construction wall and the semi. I find it hard to believe that Ford will NOT own up to this. There is clearly a history of this. I simply want my front suspension fixed to meet safety standards.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle drove over a bump and experienced the death wobble. The contact pulled over and slowed down to stabilize the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and repaired, however, the failure recurred. The contact stated the vehicle was repaired six times for the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000. The VIN was not available.

The front end suspension and steering suddenly shakes violently after hitting a bump or uneven road at speeds above 50 MPH. The only way to stop it is to quickly slow down almost to a stop. Very scary and very dangerous.

I continue to experience violent shaking of vehicle when traveling around 70MPH. I almost lost control before I could safely pull over on the highway. I purchased truck with 55,000 miles on it and I replaced all the tires after it happened the first few times. New tires did not help.

Death wobble--great oscillation and shuddering of steering wheel and vehicle itself after hitting patches of rough road at highway speeds. This has happened 5 times now. Truck is currently being inspected for any faulty equipment. This occurred on interstate 10 in LA, and if not for quick thinking, I would have swerved into other traffic or lost control completely. This is a known problem with Ford F250s and is very dangerous. No warnings, no lights, and no way to predict that this might occur driving over rough pavement.

The front end of the vehicle and wheels start to violently oscillate at speeds between 50-60 mph. Sometimes it occurs after hitting a small bump and often occurs over smooth roads. This has been described as the "death wobble". I have to slow down below 25 mph for the wobbling to stop. This has put me in numerous dangerous situations on the street amd highway.

Inconsistent Death wobble when traveling at speeds 50+mph. The vehicle will begin to shake violently. I will have to come to stop to resolve issue. A licensed mechanic has diagnosed this issue and replaced most of the front end suspension parts. The inconsistent death wobble continues and the vehicle shakes violently and is difficult to maintain control. This is a huge safety issue.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-250. The contact stated upon making a turn, the wheel seized, and the vehicle failed to move. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front passenger’s side axle shaft had fractured at the wheel. The dealer diagnosed that the outer shaft and seals needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 229,020.

WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK GOING OVER 50 MILES PER HOUR, IT GOES INTO A WOBBLE, SHAKING, VIBRATION MODE. I FEEL LIKE I'M IN A EARTHQUAKE. SOME TIMES IT COMES ON JUST NORMAL DRIVING AND MOST OF THE TIMES HAPPENS DRIVING OVER BUMPY UNEVEN SURFACE AND POTHOLES ROAD DOING OVER FIFTY MILES PER HOUR. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP RED MCCOMBS IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS ABOUT THREE OR FOUR TIMES BEFORE WITH THIS PROBLEM. THEY CAN'T FINE THE PROBLEM. THE SURVICE ADVISER DID STATE THAT ONE OF THERE TECHNICIAN DID KNOWDICE A SLIDE VIBRATION WHILE TEST DRIVING IT BUT OTHER THEN THAT NO PROBEMS. THEY DID REPLACE A PART AT ONE TIME BUT IT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT [RED MCCOMB] ON 6TH OF FEBRUARY TO DROP OFF THE TRUCK TO CHECK OUT AGAIN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANY MORE. THIS LAST TIME THE VIBRATION WAS REAL BAD. HAD HARD TIME GETTING IT UNDER CONTROL ON A MAJOR CITY HIGHWAY. I THOUGH I WAS GOING TO GET KILL. I FEAR FOR MY LIFE AND SAFETY DRIVING THAT TRUCK. I DON'T WANT TO SELL IT AND PUT SOMEBODY ELSE LIFE IN DANGER. I CALLED FORD MANUFACTURE ON AROUND THE 17 OR 18 OF JANUARY AND INFORMED THEM ABOUT IT. THE CONVERSATION WAS RECORDED ACCORDING TO THEM. THEY ACTED LIKE THERE HAS BEEN NO PROBLEM WITH THOSE TRUCKS. THEY CONTACTED ME BACK WITH THE DEALERSHIP. THATS WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT. I BOUGHT THAT TRUCK NEW IN TEMPLE TEXAS FROM THE JOHNSON BROTHERS DEALERSHIP IN JUNE 2012. RED MCCOMB HAS MAINTAIN ALL OF THE REQUIRED MAINTANACE AND MECHANICLE PROBLEMS SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW. JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING IS DOCUMENTRED THERE.

Known Ford Superduty "death wobble"...violent shaking of truck's front end at highway speed. Happens randomly and usually after hitting a bump or going over uneven road surfaces. Only way to stop wobble is to slow down to below about 50 mph, putting myself and others on the road at risk. Known Ford issue.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 MPH, the vehicle suddenly experienced a death wobble causing the vehicle to violently shake and vibrate. During the failure, the steering column failed as a result the driver lost control of the steering and drove off the road, and crash into a ditch. During the crash, the vehicle sustained damage to the subframe bracket. No injuries were reported. No police report was taken. The vehicle was towed away from the scene. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 206,000.

Today, September 6, 2022, is the first time I experienced the so called death wobble. I was traveling along at 55 mph when I went over a bump in the road and my truck began to shake like a dog shaking water off. I slowed down to 40 mph before it stopped. The shaking caused the turbocharger intake hose to break away from the engine causing an undrivable condition.

The truck is experiencing what is commonly referred to as the "Death Wobble." At around 55 mph, the vehicle starts to violently shake. It shakes the whole vehicle, especially the steering--the steering wheel severely shakes until I slow the vehicle slows down below 40 mph. From my research, I've found this is a common issue among other Superduty owners. It seems like there are faulty front end suspension and/or steering parts at play: pitman arm, drag link, tie rod ends (and their bushings/ball joints), etc. The shaking happens on the freeway and is frightening to experience as it could potentially lead to losing control if unable to slow down in time to stop the shaking. Being at freeway speeds, my family and I are at risk as well as other vehicles on the road if we were to lose control. This issue did occur 1.5 years ago. I took it into a Ford dealership where they replaced the steering dampener/stabilizer. Now the death wobble is happening again. From what I've learned, this is a band-aid fix that doesn't address the root cause of the death wobble. No warning lamps or error codes are present before, during, or after the shaking.

Extreme, violent shaking of the front end. At highway speeds, when it happens, the vehicle is very difficult to control while trying to slow down enough for it to stop. This is definitely a safety issue.

Okk Main issue is what everyone calls the “Death Wobble”. It has done it countless of times since I’ve had the truck. Even after I bought a New Fox Single steering stabilizer. I have replaced quite a few things under the front end that I was told “Could” be why it kept doing it. The most recent I’ve bought for the front is brand new Fox Shocks just like the ones I have on the back and it still does it. I’ve had the front end aligned a couple times since I’ve had the truck and rotated my tires once too. And to this day it Still does that death wobble. It scares me every time too still. Im afraid ima end up in a wreck or cause a wreck bc of it. Another issue is I keep having this warning pop up saying “ Engine Temp too high reduced engine power “ bc it thinks the engine coolant is too low which it’s Not. And when I scan the code through the OBD port it just says “Engine oil temp sensor too low/too high”. I had the Ford dealership in my town put a new Oil Temp sensor in it but it still throws a code just about everyday I drive it. Another issue I had was the High Pressure fuel pump on the front of the motor go out Literally while I was sittn in my driveway at night after just driving it not even 3 miles down the road to the store to grab a few things. And it ran fine like normal but soon as pulled in the driveway an was rolling my windows up about to go in it just died on me an had to get it towed to the Ford dealership in my town. They looked at my fuel an said my fuel was fine with No contaminants in it. I was just Unlucky they said so that was basically 10k out my pocket to pay for a Whole New fuel system. The Death Wobble is my most concerning issue but other than that the truck has been awesome.

While traveling at 55mph I hit a bump which caused the front of the vehicle to shake very violently. Rapid speed increase made it worse. It was only resolved when I braked hard slowing to 30mph. Thank goodness there was no traffic behind me as this would have resulted in my being rear ended by another vehicle.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-250. The contact stated that since purchasing of the vehicle, the vehicle experienced the death wobble on two separate occasions. The contact stated that the failures occurred while driving at undisclosed speeds. The contact stated that after driving over bumps on the road the vehicle experienced a violent and uncontrollable shaking without warning. The contact stated that once the vehicle slowed down, the vehicle would resume normal operation. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who replaced the track bar and track bar ball joint; as well as, the front and rear shocks. Despite the repair, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic after the second failure and remained in the possession of the independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and he was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle and was provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.

Front end death wobble. It began slightly about 6 months ago but progressively has gotten worse. Today driving from 40mph to interstate speeds of 70mph. It is scary and dangerous. Please do whatever is necessary to have FORD recall and fix for this issue.

My wife and I were traveling on I-40 at about 70 mph when the front end of the vehicle started shacking violently. We had to slow and come to a complete stop. This happened twice so we returned home driving about 50 mph. The first shop replaced the stablizer shock. This did not help. Took it to a second shop they replace the ball joint this seemed to help until got to highway speed. It happened again. The shop then installed shocks for each wheel. So far this has corrected the issue.

Violent shaking of the whole truck and steering wheel when the truck hits a bump in the road driving between 60-75 mph. Ford replaced worn put parts and said they could not replicate the problem and everything is good. Driving down the same stretch of high way that causes the death wobble caused the problem again. I almost caused an accident from the sudden reduction in speed in order to regain control of my truck. The service advisor said it could be possble the tires are not balanced, so I had the tires rotated and balanced. Immediately after i left the dealership this incident occurred.

The contact stated that when they passed that point the vehicle suddenly displayed the death wobble despite there being no significant bumping of the vehicle. The contact had to come to a complete stop then pull over to the side of the road. The contact stated the wobbling seized till they came to a similar uneven patch on the road at approximately 60 mph. We are experiencing the death wobble. Had some repairs done and still having the same issue, just worse. The front end shakes violently when we hit a pot hole or a dip in the road. Couldn't keep hold of steering wheel and started to fish tail. Yes. Our diesel mechanic has looked at it and fixed some of the work. No warning lamps or anything prior to it happening was evident. I was driving on the highway and the front of the truck started to shake uncontrollably. I thought maybe I hit something. Then a little while longer it did it again when I hit a bump. Thank goodness not a lot of cars around I had to turn on my blinkers and try to pull over . No warning lights no bells no whistles nothin happen before or after. Then on August 29,2021 it happened again this time a busy road . Cars behind me almost ran into me I don’t remember any bumps in the road at all . There was no warning ,!scared me. Next time might not be so lucky . I called the Ford dealer and he has made an appointment to see the truck in over a week . Guess we just keep driving and pray it doesn’t happen and no one dies . Thanks Ford .

On multiple occasions I have experienced a “death wobble” or a violent shaking that happens to the front end. It typically occurs at speeds over 50 miles per hour. It can also happen after going over bumps or grooves in the road. To stop the shaking, I must quickly slow way down or even stop completely. I have video documentation of it happening as experienced from inside the cab captured at its earliest onset on the vehicle.

While driving at highway speeds and going over a bump, steering wheel will oscillate violently. Will have to slow down to nearly a stop to get it to stop. This happens between 60 and 65 MPH hitting the right bump truck gets death wobble, has to get on the brakes hard to stop it, had dealer look at it. It has been at the Ford dealership where I bought it and an independent shop and each time it has gotten a little better at each shop but still not completely fixed.

When going over 50mph and hitting a bump the vehicle will shake and vibrate uncontrollably. The steering wheel will shake so violently that it is difficult to control the steering. Must come to a complete stop for the shaking and vibration to stop. This is extremely dangerous in traffic and especially if you are unable to pull to the side of the road as in driving in the mountains. Vehicle has been in the shop several times and problem was reproduced by the technician. Several suspension parts have been replaced at a high cost and problem has not been resolved. Research has shown that this is a problem with Ford trucks and no resolution has been provided by Ford.

ALSO BELOW 45MPH THE SHAKING STOPS. HOWEVER, UPON DECELERATION, BELOW 45 MPH, SHAKING OCCURS AT TIMES AS WELL. THE WOBBLE OCCURS DURING ALL ROAD CONDITIONS I.E. NO BUMPS, SMOOTH, FLAT, NON HILL ETC., AND TEMPERATURES I.E. SUMMER, WINTER, RAIN, SAND, SLEET, AND NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS.

THE DEATH WOBBLE MY F-250 TRUCK HAS BEEN HAVING A DEATH WOBBLE SINCE I BOUGHT IT ,I FIRST TOOK IT IN TO FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH 10,212 VEHICLE MILES ON THE TRUCK BECAUSE OF THE DEATH WOBBLE , AND HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE DEATH WOBBLE SINCE THEN . FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS NEVER FIXED THIS PROBLEM , THEY ONLY MAKE MINOR CHANGES "BANDAID" TO THE TRUCK AND IT IS STILL NOT FIXED , THEY KEEP PUTTING ME OFF AND SAY THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE SEVERAL PAGES OF SERVICE REPAIRS FORD HAS PERFORMED BUT THEY HAVE NEVER FIXED THE DEATH WOBBLE . MY FORD F-250 STILL HAS LOW MILEAGE BUT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. MY FAMILY AND I HAVE CAME VERY CLOSE TO A ROLL OVER AT 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE FROM WHEN WE HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD. EVERY TIME THE TRUCK ROLLS OVER A BUMP AT ANY SPEED ABOVE 20 MPH IT GOES INTO A WOBBLE AND BECOMES VERY HAZARDOUS AND SCARY. WE BOUGHT THIS F-250 KING RANCH TO DRIVE AND ENJOY ON VACATIONS AND OTHER FAMILY TRIPS , BUT AT THIS TIME MY FAMILY AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE RIDING IN IT, NOR HAVING IT ON THE ROAD WAYS IN FEAR OF IT BEING A DANGER TO US AND OTHER DRIVERS OR PEDESTRIANS. THIS F-250 GOES INTO A DEATH WOBBLE WHEN ENCOUNTERING A BUMP IN THE ROAD , ON PUBLIC COUNTY ROADS, CITY STREETS , STATE HIGHWAYS AND ESPECIALLY INTERSTATES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. MY LOCAL TIRE MAN DESCRIBED THIS AS A " DEATH WOBBLE" AND THAT IS AA GOOD DESCRIPTION. AS I DRIVE USUALLY AT 55 MPH THE TRUCK SUDDENLY STARTS TO SHAKE, NO PRIOR WARNING, SO HARD IT IS HARD TO HOLD ONTO THE STEERING WHEEL. O FAR I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SLOW TO A STOP WITHOUT A WRECK. I CAN THEN PROCEED AS IF NOTHING HAS OCCURRED. THIS SEEMS TO BE GETTING MORE FREQUENT. AND MAKES ME NERVOUS WHEN I DRIVE.. I HAVE LEARNED FROM MY TIRE MAN THERE ARE OTHER OWNERS IN MY ARE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR FORD TRUCKS. WE HAVE HAD FORDS SINCE THE '70'S AND NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH ANY OTHER ONE. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 75MPH ON AN INTERSTATE; AFTER HITTING A BUMP OR EXPANSION JOINT THE FRONT END WOBBLES UNCONTROLLABLY UNTIL THE SPEED IS REDUCED BY ABOUT HALF. I HAD A TRUSTED MECHANIC LOOK AT MY TRUCK AND HE SAID ALL FRONT END PARTS WERE IN GOOD CONDITION AND TIGHT. HE TALKED TO A DEALER WHO RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE STEERING DAMPER AS A CURE FOR THE "DEATH WOBBLE" ISSUE. I HAD THAT REPLACED AROUND THE FIRST OF FEBRUARY 2021. I HAD NOT DRIVEN THE TRUCK ON AN INTERSTATE AT SPEED SINCE THE REPLACEMENT UNTIL TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 2021. THE WOBBLE HAPPENED THREE SEPARATE TIMES WITHIN A SPAN OF TEN MINUTES SCARING THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF ME AND NEARLY CAUSING TWO WRECKS. THE TRUCK IS HAZARDOUS TO DRIVE TO NOT ONLY MYSELF, BUT TO OTHER VEHICLES IN MY VICINITY WHILE ON THE ROAD.

WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS INSTANCES OF "DEATH WOBBLE" STARTING AT A 75,000 MILES. ALL SUSPENSION IS STOCK, TIRES ARE STOCK. I HAD BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP 4-5 TIMES (UNDER WARRANTY) AND GOT THE TRACK BAR REPLACED, TRACK BALL BUSHING, AND BALL JOINT, STEERING DAMPER, INCREASE IN CASTER AND EVEN BOUGHT NEW STOCK TIRES TO PROVE OUT THE PROBLEM. I HAVE 125,000 MILES ON THE TRUCK NOW AFTER FIGHTING THIS ISSUE FOR YEARS AND HAVE REPLACED ALL ROD ENDS, TRACK BAR, BUSHINGS, STEERING DAMPER, ETC AND THE DEATH WOBBLE STILL PERSISTS. THIS IS CLEARLY A DESIGN ISSUE AND MAKES THE TRUCK DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THE ISSUE OCCURS PRIMARILY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, WHILE MAKING A VERY SLIGHT LEFT TURN WHEN A SMALL BUMP IS DRIVEN OVER SUCH AS AN EXPANSION JOINT. THE SEVERE VIBRATION THAT SHAKES THE FRONT SUSPENSION VIOLENTLY BACK AND FORTH DOES NOT SUBSIDE UNTIL THE TRUCK IS UNDER ~20 MPH (NOT A SAFE CONDITION TO BE IN WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY). DURING THIS PERIOD YOU CAN NOT HOLD THE STEERING WHEEL UNDER CONTROL, CAN NOT CONTROL THE DIRECTION OF THE VEHICLE OR STOP QUICKLY IF REQUIRED. THIS 'DEATH WOBBLE' HAS OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY 20 TIME WITH THE LATEST OCCURRENCE HAPPENING TODAY.

AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN GOING AROUND A CURVE THE VEHICLE BEGAN SHAKING VIOLENTLY. FORD DEALER REPLACED THE DAMPER ASSEMBLY, FRONT SUSPENSION ARM BUSHING, INSTALLED 1 DEGREE ADJUSTERS, REPLACED THE TRACK BAR BUSHING, AND DID A FRONT END ALIGNMENT. TEN MONTHS LATER I EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR VIOLENT SHAKING WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS AT 75 MPH. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN A 2 DAY PERIOD. THE SHAKING WOULD ONLY SUBSIDE AFTER SLOWING DOWN TO LESS THAN 15 MPH. MANY OTHER F250 OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. THE SHAKING IS SO VIOLENT IS COULD EASILY CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE.

PICKED THE TRUCK TOP ON A SATURDAY MORNING AND BY MONDAY AFTERNOON THE WOBBLE OCCURED AGAIN TRAVELING ON I-12 AT 65 MPH NEAR MANDEVILLE, LA. I HAD TO PROCEED 50 MPH HOME WHERE I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. TRUCK IS CURRENTLY AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, SUPREME FORD, IN SLIDELL, LA FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. I HAVE SEVERAL VIDEOS CAPTURING THE WOBBLE BUT AM UNABLE TO UPLOAD TO THE WEBSITE.

YOU HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO ALMOST 35 MPH TO GET IT TO STOP (DANGEROUS WHEN ON THE FREEWAY). NOW IT HAS STARTED DOING IT ANYTIME I GO OVER 60 MPH. CHANGED THE FRONT STEERING STABILIZER STRUT, STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM 100MILES LATER. WE WERE TRAVELING ON A STRAIGHT SECTION OF THE INTERSTATE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. AFTER DOING RESEARCH, I NOW KNOW THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH FORD TRUCKS SINCE AT LEAST 2011 AND THERE IS NO WAY THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS. THERE IS A TSB #18-2268 ON THIS PROBLEM BUT MANY PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THAT THIS DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. OVER 1400 DOLLARS WORTH OF REPAIRS WERE MADE IN JUNE OF 2018. REPORTED SYMPTOMS AGAIN TO MY DEALER WHEN TRUCK WAS BROUGHT IN FOR NORMAL SERVICE. WAS ADVISE STEERING BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR. SHE OBVIOUSLY PANICKED AND I HAD TO TELL HER TO SLOW THE TRUCK TO 25 MPH (ON A HIGHWAY) TO REGAIN CONTROL. WE ENDED UP IN MEDIAN AS THERE WAS TOTAL LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL DURING THE EVENT. THIS PARTICULAR TRIP WAS FROM HOUSTON TO LUBBOCK AND I DROVE THE REMAINDER OF THE TRIP TO AND FROM EXPERIENCING THE SAME DEATH WOBBLE ANOTHER 4 TIMES. I TOOKE THE TRUCK IN AND HAD REPLACEMENT PARTS PUT IN AND CONDITION CONTINUED. RETURNED THE TRUCK TO LEGACY FORD IN ROSENBERG, TX FOR FIX AND THEY INDICATED THAT THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TRUCK IS 100% STOCK WITH GOOD MICHELIN TIRES. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH WILL YIELD HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THIS EXACT PROBLEM.

FORD KNOWS ABOUT THESE COMPLAINTS - THEY ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND ON THIS SITE SO WHY CAN THIS NOT BE FIXED? I DROVE MY GRAND-DAUGHTERS IN IT ONE DAY TWO WEEKS AGO AND AFTER NOT HAPPENING FOR DAYS IT HAPPENED AND IT'S A WONDER WE DID NOT HIT THE ONCOMING CAR HEAD ON. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE IN ONE OF THESE TRUCKS AND THEN MAYBE FORD WILL STEP UP AND AT LEAST TELL THOSE OF US THAT OWN THEM HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM! REPAIRS INCLUDED, BAR - FRONT SUSPENSION TI, JOINT ASY - BALL, NUT, END ASY - DRAG LINK ROD, ROD, ROD ASY - DRAG LINK, ADJUSTER ASY @ 2, ALL REPLACED WITH NEW PARTS. REPLACE DRAG INK AND END, INSTALL ADJUSTERS FOR CASTOR, FRONT END ALIGNMENT (4 WHEEL DRIVE). THE FORD DEALERSHIP WAS EVEN AWARE OF THIS EXISTING PROBLEM WITH THE FORD F250 SUSPENSION, FROM PREVIOUS COMPLAINS AND REPAIRS. MY REPAIR COST WAS $1205.07. NOW MONTHS LATER I HAVE ANOTHER ISSUE THAT FROM ALL THE BLOGS SAY IS A PROBLEM MOST 2012 MODELS HAVE CALLED THE "DEATH WOBBLE". IT IS NOW HAPPENING AT LEAST ONCE ON EVERY DRIVE I MAKE. I HAVE HAD OVER 8 SITUATIONS WHERE I HAVE HAD TO SLAM ON BREAKS TO MAKE THE VIBRATION STOP AND THE CAR BEHIND ME ALMOST SLAM INTO THE BACK OF MY TRUCK. MY FRIEND LATER TOLD ME THIS WAS THE 'DEATH WOBBLE' AND THAT HE HAD IT ON HIS F250-2012. HE SAID IT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF A SUSPENSION BAR(TRACK BAR) ON THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK WHICH I HAD DONE. NO FURTHER PROBLEM HAVE BEEN NOTED SINCE REPLACED..1 WEEK AGO. THE SHOP WHERE I HAD THE WORK DONE SAID THEY HAVE FIXED ABOUT 70 TRUCKS AND IT WILL OCCUR AGAIN WHEN THE BALL JOINT ON THE BAR WEARS OUT AGAIN. I HAVE A KING RANCH MODEL WITH 20 INCH TIRES THAT MAY BE A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. OTHER PEOPLE I KNOW WITH F250S AND 18 INCH TIRES HAVE NOT NOTICED THIS PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE SHAKES SO BAD THAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL IT AND YOU HAVE TO STAND ON THE BRAKE TO SLOW IT DOWN ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO STEER IT. THIS CAN RESULT IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT OR DEATH!!! I HAVE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION SINCE THE TRUCK WAS NEW. WHILE DRIVING ON THE 400 JUST EAST OF AUGESTA KANSAS THE TRUCK SUDDENLY DEVELOPED A "DEATH WOBBLE". IT IS CALLED BY OTHER NAMES AS WELL, THE STEERING STARTED SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLE AND HAVE TO BRING THE TRUCK TO A STOP. THIS WAS THE SECOND IT IN THREE WEEKS IT HARDENED. NEW 2012 FORD F250, SUPER DUTY, 4X4, CREW CAB TRUCK, PURCHASED 11/2013. APPROX. 1 MONTH PRIOR, THE TRUCK BEGAN HAVING A VIBRATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (75% HIGHWAY DRIVING, 25% CITY). THE VIBRATION GOT WORSE OVER THE COURSE OF A DAY. THE 2ND DAY THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE EXHIBITED A LARGE BULGE (TREAD SEPARATION) ON THE INSIDE TWO TREAD GROOVES. FORD REPLACED THE TIRE, WITH ANOTHER OF THE SAME BRAND AND MODEL. ON 6/30/2014, THE FRONT DRIVER TIRE, WITH NO WARNING, DEVELOPED THE SAME ISSUE, A LARGE BULGE IN THE INSIDE TREAD GROOVES. THE TIRES ARE CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC LT275/65R18 123/120S TIRES, DOT# A3B9 479B 2511. BOTH TIRES HAD VERY LITTLE TIRE WEAR AND THE WEAR WAS EVEN ACROSS THE TIRE SURFACE, THE TIRES SHOWED NO SIGN OF POTENTIAL FAILURE. I DID GET TO SEE THE INSIDE OF THE SECOND FAILED TIRE, THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY DAMAGE EXCEPT THE CORD SEPARATION WHICH WAS NOT VISIBLE FROM EITHER THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE TIRE; I DID TAKE PHOTOS. I CONTACTED FORD'S CORPORATE NUMBER AND AWAITING A CALL FROM THE DEALER'S SERVICE MANAGER, AND REGIONAL SERVICE MANAGER IN REFERENCE TO THIS SAFETY CONCERN. FORD DID STATE THEY WOULD CONTACT NHTSA; FORD REFERENCE NUMBER CAS04645143-Z4T8T9. EACH TIME I HAVE TO REPLACE THE CONTINENTAL TIRE UNDER WARRANTY FORD HAS TO LOCATE THE TIRE AND IT IS NOT EASY TO LOCATE. IN ADDITION, EVERY NEW FORD F250 ON THE DEALERS LOT HAS ANOTHER NAME BRAND TIRE, WHICH I BELIEVE INDICATES FORD HAS ISSUE WITH THE CONTINENTAL TIRES. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED ON SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2014: ROAD CONDITIONS WERE DRY, TEMPERATURE 75 DEGREES. EXTREMELY DRAMATIC WHEEL WOBBLING. TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE, APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, DROVE OVER SEVERAL SMALL BUMPS IN THE ROAD WHEN THE SHAKING AND WOBBLING STARTED. TRUCK STARTED VEERING INTO LEFT LANE OF INTERSTATE. WE THOUGHT OUR WHEELS WERE COMING OFF DUE HOW VIOLENT THIS ACTION WAS. GENTLY APPLIED BRAKES, AND SHAKING/WOBBLING SUBSIDED AROUND 30 MPH AND PULLED OFF OF THE INTERSTATE. I WAS SAFELY OPERATING MY FORD F 250 ON A CONCRETE BRIDGE IN PINE ISLAND FLORIDA . I WAS TRAVELING @ 63 MPH AND WAS MAKING A SLIGHT LEFT BEND . THE TRUCK CROSSED AN EXPANSION JOINT AND WENT INTO UNCONTROLLABLE VIOLENT OSCILLATION OF SUSPENSION AND STEERING . THE OSCILLATION WAS SUCH THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT TO HOLD ON TO AND MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS MULTIPLE FLAT TIRES OR A WHEEL CAME OFF THE VEHICLE . HARD BRAKING TO UNDER 30 MPH WAS WHAT WAS REQUIRED TO STABILIZE STEERING TO "NORMAL" . THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED AND I DISCUSSED WITH MY SERVICE ADVISER AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP THAT I PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM. I INSPECTED VEHICLE AND COULD SEE NO DAMAGE OF OBVIOUS PROBLEMS . I MONITOR TIRE PRESSURE REGULARLY , HAVE NO MODIFICATIONS TO SUSPENSION OR STEERING ON VEHICLE . THE NEXT TIME THIS OCCURRED 12/26/13, I WAS TRAVELING APPROX. 65 MPH AND AGAIN WAS IN A SLIGHT LEFT HAND TURN AND CROSSED AN EXPANSION JOINT NEAR BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA ON HIGHWAY 65. I WAS SURROUNDED BY DENSE 65 MPH TRAFFIC AND THE TRUCK WAS UNCONTROLLABLE. THIS TIME THERE WAS A NEAR ACCIDENT AS I HAS A SEMI TRACTOR TRAILER BOTH CLOSE BEHIND ME AND TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF ME . I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND HIT A SMALL SEAM IN THE ROAD AT APPROX. 60 MPH AFTER HITTING THE SMALL SEAM MY WHOLE TRUCK BEGAN SHAKING VIOLENTLY TO A POINT WHERE I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD F-250SD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS OVER A ROAD BUMP OR POTHOLE, THE VEHICLE WOULD TRAVEL OUT OF LANE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS WHO WERE UNABLE TO LOCATE A PROBLEM WITH THE SHOCKS. IN JAN. 2012 I PURCHASED A FORD F-250 RATED TO TOW 14,000 LBS. I TRADED IN A FORD F-150 RATED AT 7,700 LBS. WHEN I HOOKED MY CAMPER TO MY 2000 F-150 THE TRUCK DID NOT SAG OR SQUAT AT ALL. LOOKING TO UPGRADE, I SPOKE TO SEVERAL SALES PEOPLE AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS. I WAS ASSURED THAT THE F-250 SUPER DUTY WOULD BY FAR OUT PERFORM MY OLD TRUCK. IT DOES NOT. THIS NEW F-250 SQUATS SO BAD IT IS RIDICULOUS. ON 6-18-12 I TOOK MY TRUCK TO THE DEALER AT WHICH I PURCHASED THE TRUCK AND COMPLAINED OF THIS MATTER, ONLY TO BE TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SPRINGS. YET, THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID HE WOULD SEND ME TO A THIRD PARTY OUT OF STATE SHOP, TO HAVE SPRINGS MADE AND SPLIT THE COST WITH ME, BECAUSE THAT WAS CHEAPER THAN USING GENUINE FORD SPRINGS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, AS I DID NOT SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON A NEW FORD ONLY TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE FIX FORDS PROBLEMS. I CONTACTED FORD H.Q. AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION. AFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR SOME TIME, THE PERSON AT H.Q. EXPLAINED THAT HE HAD SPOKE TO, AND THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH MY TRUCK. I FEEL STRONGLY THAT MY DECISION TO BUY THIS TRUCK, WAS BASED LARGELY ON FRAUDULENT STATEMENTS MADE BY BOTH FORD SALES PEOPLE AND FORD LITERATURE ALIKE. I HAVE WITNESSES TO THE STATEMENTS OF THE SALES PERSONNEL, AS WELL AS TO THE FACT THAT MY OLD TRUCK DID NOT SAG AT ALL.
