Today 11/21/24, I notified my husband as I am driving up the ramp going 50 my ford started to shake hard. I had to hold on to the steering wheel and pull over with out pressing the break. I came to a stop and kept him on the phone in case I were to flip over. The vehicle stopped wobbling and I started up again. I was not able to drive but less than 40 and again the wobble coming back. The commute for me was over 1 hour. I would not make it alive home. This vehicle had to go to the shop as if I were to drive home I would not be alive at this moment

Death wobble--great oscillation and shuddering of steering wheel and vehicle itself after hitting patches of rough road at highway speeds. This has happened 5 times now. Truck is currently being inspected for any faulty equipment. This occurred on interstate 10 in LA, and if not for quick thinking, I would have swerved into other traffic or lost control completely. This is a known problem with Ford F250s and is very dangerous. No warnings, no lights, and no way to predict that this might occur driving over rough pavement.

Without any warning, smoke started billowing from the driver's side dash and overhead liner. When looking for the cause, I pulled the solenoid and the smoking stopped. Upon further inspection, I discovered broken, melted wiring in the rear drivers side door jamb. In researching this problem online, I found that other owners had experienced the same problem.

WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK GOING OVER 50 MILES PER HOUR, IT GOES INTO A WOBBLE, SHAKING, VIBRATION MODE. I FEEL LIKE I'M IN A EARTHQUAKE. SOME TIMES IT COMES ON JUST NORMAL DRIVING AND MOST OF THE TIMES HAPPENS DRIVING OVER BUMPY UNEVEN SURFACE AND POTHOLES ROAD DOING OVER FIFTY MILES PER HOUR. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP RED MCCOMBS IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS ABOUT THREE OR FOUR TIMES BEFORE WITH THIS PROBLEM. THEY CAN'T FINE THE PROBLEM. THE SURVICE ADVISER DID STATE THAT ONE OF THERE TECHNICIAN DID KNOWDICE A SLIDE VIBRATION WHILE TEST DRIVING IT BUT OTHER THEN THAT NO PROBEMS. THEY DID REPLACE A PART AT ONE TIME BUT IT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT [RED MCCOMB] ON 6TH OF FEBRUARY TO DROP OFF THE TRUCK TO CHECK OUT AGAIN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANY MORE. THIS LAST TIME THE VIBRATION WAS REAL BAD. HAD HARD TIME GETTING IT UNDER CONTROL ON A MAJOR CITY HIGHWAY. I THOUGH I WAS GOING TO GET KILL. I FEAR FOR MY LIFE AND SAFETY DRIVING THAT TRUCK. I DON'T WANT TO SELL IT AND PUT SOMEBODY ELSE LIFE IN DANGER. I CALLED FORD MANUFACTURE ON AROUND THE 17 OR 18 OF JANUARY AND INFORMED THEM ABOUT IT. THE CONVERSATION WAS RECORDED ACCORDING TO THEM. THEY ACTED LIKE THERE HAS BEEN NO PROBLEM WITH THOSE TRUCKS. THEY CONTACTED ME BACK WITH THE DEALERSHIP. THATS WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT. I BOUGHT THAT TRUCK NEW IN TEMPLE TEXAS FROM THE JOHNSON BROTHERS DEALERSHIP IN JUNE 2012. RED MCCOMB HAS MAINTAIN ALL OF THE REQUIRED MAINTANACE AND MECHANICLE PROBLEMS SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW. JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING IS DOCUMENTRED THERE.

Power Mirror Driver's side doesn't retract /extend automatically. Driver's seat doesn't power adjust. It is stuck in one position and will not move. Electrical short w/ annoying hum over speakers when radio is on.

when i was driving it, It would stallout and no power to the foot feed, you couldnt hear the motor running, pull over, and then the foot padel, feed would work again, with no service light came on, happen when i also pulled out to make a left turn or right turn also, I told Car lot, well we cant do anything if service light dosent come on, I ask them to keep it and drive it, as it only did it some times, I no longer have it as it was a danager in driveing it and also , had to have a fix it ticket, after, think the covered it up, lost 1000.oo dolars on it. Truck can kill some one not fix, cheek car fax, no repairs on it

I was driving on the highway and the front of the truck started to shake uncontrollably. I thought maybe I hit something. Then a little while longer it did it again when I hit a bump. Thank goodness not a lot of cars around I had to turn on my blinkers and try to pull over . No warning lights no bells no whistles nothin happen before or after. Then on August 29,2021 it happened again this time a busy road . Cars behind me almost ran into me I don’t remember any bumps in the road at all . There was no warning ,!scared me. Next time might not be so lucky . I called the Ford dealer and he has made an appointment to see the truck in over a week . Guess we just keep driving and pray it doesn’t happen and no one dies . Thanks Ford .

When driving on the interstate at the start of a full day on the road, the front of the truck started shaking violently. At first, I thought I had encountered a rough stretch of road, but there was no way the washboard effect I was experiencing was from the road. It was far too fast and violent. My next thoughts were that I was about to lose a front tire...or both front tires...or maybe the engine was seizing up. Whatever it was, something was seriously wrong and it was scary. I responded by taking my foot off the accelerator and braking, and then easing across two lanes of traffic to the side of the road, where the shaking stopped. I was traveling with my daughter and five-month-old granddaughter, and once I slowed down, the shaking stopped. The truck then ran normally and we were able to resume our trip without any further issues. The truck is currently at the Ford dealer to be serviced and they are looking into the problem, though when I described what had happened, the lady at the service desk said, "Yeah, some of these trucks have that problem." I now have serious concerns about the safety of this truck, particularly since I often travel alone pulling a horse trailer and for long distances. Were this to happen with a fully loaded trailer, in heavy traffic, on a curve, and/or going down a mountain pass, I don't know what would happen since with the steering wheel and front of the truck were shaking so violently that it didn't feel like I had any control over the front end of the vehicle. I am grateful I was on a straight stretch of highway and that the traffic wasn't too heavy.

FIRS STARTED VIBRATING BEYOND MY CONTROL WHEN I HIT A SMALL BUMP WHILE TRAVELLING APPROXIMATELY 50MPH, HAD WORN BUSHING AND OTHER REPLACEMENTS AND CONTINUES TO OCCUR PERIODICALLY. THE SHAKING IS SO SEVERE THAT THE TRUCK CANNOT BE STEERED AND ONLY STOPS WHEN I GET BELOW 20MPH. IT HAS NOW OCCURRED AT SPEEDS FROM 35 TO 70MPH AND THE TRUCK IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.

WHILE DRIVE MY 2012 FORD F-250 AT SPEEDS OF 65+, THE STEERING WHEEL START TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AFTER DRIVING OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS AND FOUND IT IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS A DEATH WOBBLE. THE VIDEOS FOUND ON YOUTUBE REPLICATE IT CORRECTLY. I'M NOT SURE WHAT OTHER DAMAGE IT MAY HAVE CAUSED TO MY TRUCK. IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I BOUGHT THE TRUCK. I'VE BOUGHT AN ADJUSTABLE TRACK BAR AND TRIED MANY DIFFERENT TIRES COMBINATIONS. I HAVE NOT FOUND A SOLUTION.

MY TRUCK IS EXPERIENCING THE DEATH WOBBLE, THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES WITH ONE INCIDENT OF MY WIFE LOSING CONTROL. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED NEW TIRES. I GOT NEW TIRES AND AN ALIGNMENT AND THE TRUCK HAD THE DEATH WOBBLE AGAIN. I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK TO FORD AND ALL THEY COULD TELL ME IS TO LOOK AT THE SERVICE ADVISORY AND DECIDE IF I WANTED TO PAY FOR THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I ONLY HAD 50,000 MILES ONE THE TRUCK AND COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY I WOULD HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET FOR THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS AND SCARY ISSUE THAT'S IS GOING TO END UP KILLING SOMEONE IF IT HASN'T ALREADY

TRUCK BEGAN SHAKING OCCASIONALLY BEFORE END OF WARRANTY. SOMETIMES FROM A NOTICEABLE BUMP SOMETIMES FOR NO CLEAR REASON. TOOK IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES PRIOR TO WARRANTY EXPIRATION BUT TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. IT GOT WORSE TO THE POINT WE DID NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE MUCH AS IT BECAME ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLE AND HAPPENS SEEMINGLY RANDOMLY. ONE TIME ON THE HIGHWAY IN TRAFFIC WITH OUR GRANDDAUGHTERS IT WAS ALL WE COULD DO TO GET IT OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT HITTING ANYONE. WE HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO SEVERAL MECHANICS WHO HAVE REPLACED MOST OF THE FRONT SUSPENSION, BRAKES, AND NEW TIRES...AGAIN. WE HAVE PUT SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS INTO REPAIRS WITH FORD UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE, REPAIR, OR EVEN ADMIT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM. UNSAFE FOR ANYONE. THESE ARE EXPENSIVE VEHICLES AND WE SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO USE THEM. HOW CAN YOU NOT ADMIT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BEFORE IT KILLS SOMEONE? SEE DEATH WOBBLE VIDEOS ONLINE. IT SHAKES UNCONTROLLABLY AS SOON AS YOU YOU HIT A BRIDGE CONNECTOR OR A BUMP OR ANY IMPERFECTION ON THE ROAD WHEN YOU DOING TIGER RATE OF SPEED APROX 60 TO 70 MPH. AND VERY DANGEROUS WHEN Y9OUR ON THE HIGHWAYS IT ALSO CAN HAPPEN IF THE WHEELS AREA AT A CERTAIN ANGLE AND YOU HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD. IT DOESNT MATTER IF IT IS A HIGHWAY OR COUNTRY ROAD IF YOU HIT A BUMP YOU BETTER HOLD ON CAUSE YOUR GOING INTO A DEATH SHAKE LIKE NO OTHER. IT IS VERY HARD TO STEER AND CONTROL. YOU HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO BELOW 30 MPH BEFORE IT WILL STOP. VERY DANGEROUS! I HAVE SEEN ON THE WEBSITE THIS IS COMMON AND FORD WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED 15 TIMES SO FAR. OR AT HOME IN BED AT 2 OR 4 AM AND IT GOES OFF. NO ONE AROUND TRUCK KEYS ON COUNTER. I ALWAYS LOCK MY TRUCK NO MATTER WHERE I'M AT, BUT I HAVE TO FIND MY KEYS AND UNLOCK IT THEN RELOCK TO RESET THE ALARM. IT'S ANNOYING AND IM SURE INSURANCE WOULD LOOK TWICE ON COVERING A VEHICLE THAT SECURITY DOESN'T WORK CORRECTLY. IT LIKE CRYING WOLF WOLF I'M AFRAID MY TRUCK WILL ACTUALLY BE STOLEN ONE DAY. THE BRAKE SHIFT INTERLOCK ACUATOR DOES NOT WORK IN MY 2012 FORD F250. I FOUND THIS OUT THE HARD WAY WHEN MY 8 YEAR OLD SON HIT THE SHIFTER AND THE TRUCK ROLLED BACKWARDS WITH HIM IN IT. I WAS TAKING GROCERIES OUT OF MY TRUCK AND I HAD THE KEYS IN MY POCKET THINKING THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO THAT WOULD MAKE THE TRUCK MOVE. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO JUMP INTO THE MOVING VEHICLE AND HIT THE BRAKE WITH MY HAND. THE WHOLE INCIDENT WAS RECORDED ON MY HOME SECURITY CAMERA. IT WAS A VERY SCARY SITUATION THAT COULD'VE GONE REALLY BAD BUT THANKFULLY IT DIDN'T. MINE WAS BUILT 3/12 BUT I FIND IT FAR TOO HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THERE SHOULDN'T BE A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE ALSO. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR CORPORATION AND THEY SEEM TO HAVE NO CONCERNS ABOUT MY CURRENT SITUATION. I BELIEVE SOMETHING THIS DANGEROUS SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF BY THEM. TO ME ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY BUT IT IS ABOUT THE PRINCIPLE OF HOW THERE COULD BE A POSSIBILITY OF DEATH CAUSED BY THIS. MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 46,000 MILES ON IT AND I BELIEVE THAT IS WAY UNDER THE AVERAGE MILAGE FOR A VEHICLE OF THAT AGE. WE WERE TRAVELLING THRU NEW MEXICO ON OUR WAY HOME TO ARIZONA WHEN WE FELT A VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END. HAVING EXPERIENCED A SEPARATED CORD IN ONE OF OUR TIRES IN MAY OF 2015 AT 15,000 MILES (SEVERAL MONTHS EARLIER), WE SUSPECTED A TIRE. WE PULLED OFF AT A REST STOP BUT COULD NOT SEE A PROBLEM. WE WENT 50 MILES FURTHER AT A REDUCED RATE OF SPEED TO GET OURSELVES OFF THE ROAD AND NEAR A SERVICE FACILITY. WE PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND CHECKED THE TIRES AGAIN AND DISCOVERED A RAISED AREA IN THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE, SIMILAR TO THE TIRE THAT FAILED AT 15,0000 MILES. THE SECOND TIRE TO SEPARATE HAS ABOUT 23,000 MILES ON IT. I AM BEGINNING TO SERIOUSLY QUESTION THE QUALITY AND SAFETY OF CONTINENTAL TIRES ON OUR F-250. HAD WE NOT BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF A FAILED TIRE AND HAD NOT PULLED OFF THE ROAD, WE COULD HAVE EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT AND A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. WHEN THE FIRST TIRE WAS SEPARATED WE ASKED THE DEALER TO REPLACE ALL OF THE TIRES AS WE SUSPECTED THEY WERE ALL MADE IN THE SAME LOT/BATCH. THE DEALER WOULD NOT REPLACE THEM AND SO WE TOOK A CHANCE THAT THE REST WERE OK (THESE ARE ALL TIRES THAT WERE ON THE VEHICLE WHEN WE PURCHASED IT NEW TWO YEARS AGO). SEEMS THERE WAS A SIMILAR FLAW ON THE F-250 TIRES IN 2008/2009 . LAWYERS SAY IT IS THE MANUFACTURER'S FAULT: TIRE DEFECTS ARE DUE TO PERHAPS MOST COMMONLY, INEFFECTIVE ADHESION, USUALLY AS A RESULT OF THE GLUES AGE OR POOR BONDING OF TIRE COMPONENTS DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. WHEN TIRES ARE BEING MADE, MOISTURE, IMPURITIES, AND OTHER FOREIGN MATERIALS ARE CAPABLE OF ENTERING THE MIX AND GET CURED INTO THE TIRE. TIRE MANUFACTURERS HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THESE TYPES OF PROBLEMS FOR YEARS, BUT HAVE FAILED TO CORRECT THEM, OR TO USE BETTER DESIGNS LESS PRONE TO FAILURE, LIKE IMPROVING SKIN STOCK, WHICH CAN BETTER BOND RUBBER TO THE STEEL.

JAN 01 2015 I WAS DRIVING TO WORK 6AM, WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON A MESSAGE READ " PULL OVER NOW SAFELY", I PULL TO THE SIDE ALONG THE FREEWAY THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN. I HAD TO CALL INTO TO WORK TO ADVISE I WON'T BE IN AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK. I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A TOW INTO FOLSOM LAKE FORD. THE SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME IT WAS A BAD SENSOR ALL FOUR SHOULD BE REPLACED. I CALLED MY WIFE SHE INVESTIGATED EGT RECALL ON FORDS, I TOLD THE SERVICE ADVISOR OF RECALL HE SAID THERE IS NO RECALL. MY WIFE ESCALATED THE CALL TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. SHE SPOKE WITH [XXX] HE CONFIRMED THE RECALL AND GAVE HER A REFERENCE NUMBER, LEVEL 2 CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD HER THE DEALERSHIP NOTED IT'S THE CALIBRATION AND WE CAN'T UPGRADE THAT FOR YOU. THE CALL ESCALATED TO REGIONAL SUPERVISOR TJX HE SAID NOTHING HE CAN DO AND I'LL HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS OUT OF POCKET. MY HUSBAND PAID THE REPAIR BILL. ON 02/02/2015 WE RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FOR EMISSION RECALL 14E03 CATALYST REDUCTION SYSTEM UPDATE FOR IMPROVEMENT INCLUDING REDUCED TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAULTS AND IMPROVED DRIVABILITY. SO BASICALLY THE EGT SENSOR RUNS OFF THIS COMPUTER SYSTEM TELLING THE SENSOR THE TRUCK IS OVER HEATING. THIS STRANDED MY HUSBAND ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, NOW FORD REFUSES TO REIMBURSE USE THE REPAIRS AND TOWING. THERE IS NO WAY TO SECURE REAR FACING INFANT CHILD SEAT INTO VEHICLE. NO CLIPS OR RINGS TO ATTACH THE CARRIER TO. SEATBELT ALONE IS NOT SUFFICIENT.
