DEATH WOBBLE FRONT SHOCKS, STEERING DAMPNER AND NEW MICHELIN TIRES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED VEHICLE WILL SHAKE VIOLENTLY AND HAVE TO BRING SPEED DOWN TO GET BACK UNDER CONTROL.

We called our local Ford dealership, Matthew Ford of Pryor (Oklahoma) and made an appointment for the safety recall of replacing the clock spring. They proceeded to attempt the replacement and in the process damaged the steering column module, part no. GC3Z3F791KA. We are now being told that Ford does not have the necessary steering column module part and nobody manufactures it for our trim level, Platinum. Consequently, our truck is not able to be fixed and returned to us in the same condition it was given to the dealership. It is still at the dealership, in pieces. We dropped it off on March 27th, 2025.

Normal driving on highway. I drove over a rough section of road and the truck began shaking uncontrollably. Was able to slow down and the shaking stopped.. I've spent over $4000. 00 to fix problem. Within 6 months the issue returned. Have told Ford dealship. They will not fix problem. This is the 5th time I've reported the issue.

I bought the truck a week ago I was driving it home from went over a bridge at 70mph and it went into a violent death wobble. Luckily I have experience with death wobble from an Offroad Jeep and I was able to get to a stop. If my wife was driving it could have been a different story, or if I was hauling a trailer it may have went in the ditch.

The contact's husband owns a 2016 Ford F-250. The contact stated that a bracket was placed on the suspension to prevent the failure commonly known as the "death wobble". Despite the repair, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was a loud vibrating noise followed by violent shaking while driving over a bump in the road. Additionally, the steering wheel was vibrating uncontrollably making it difficult to steer the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was discovered that the steering bracket had rubbed against other steering components causing the stabilizer to become bent. The vehicle remained with the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 63,000.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH with the cruise control engaged, the vehicle violently shook while driving over a bump on the roadway. The contact slowed down, pulled over, and turned off and restarted the vehicle several times and was able to drive the vehicle; however, the failure recurred while driving over bumps on the roadway. The vehicle was taken to three different independent mechanics and the contact was informed that an alignment, shocks, ball joints, and the traction bar needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The dealer was notified of the failure and verified that the VIN was not under recall for the failure. The contact researched online and discovered that the failure was related to a steering linkage damper. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had previously issued a Customer Service Program for the failure however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 249,000.

Death Wobble on several occasions very scary! speed over 50 mph vehicle began violently shaking had to get off roadway very dangerous almost uncontrolable!

Jun 25, 2024

The problem is commonly called "DEATH WOBBLE". The steering system enters an extremely violent wobble/shake making control of the vehicle nearly impossible. 2 independent service centers have addressed the issue. The first did repairs, including warranty replacement of a faulty part and the truck still has the "DEATH WOBBLE". The 2nd independent service center made note of the 2nd faulty replacement part (TRACK BAR) and reports "TRACK BAR BUSHING IS MOVING EXCESSIVELY. TRACK BAR SHOULD BE REPLACED." No other physical inspections have been performed. There were no vehicle warning lights due to this issue. There were a few incidences of the "DEATH WOBBLE" prior to my first appointment with an independent service center. That first appointment was approx. 2/19/2024, completed on 2/27/2024. Second time completed on 6/21/2024.

I have had my vehicle inspected and supposedly repaired for the death wobble by two separate ford dealerships (Castle Rock Ford in Castle Rock, CO and Phil Long Ford in Colorado Springs CO). I continue to have safety issues as when I hit pot holes or rough roads, the steering and suspension system shakes the front wheels and steering wheel to the point that I have to come to a full stop. The entire steering system and shocks have been replaced (some parts multiple times) over the past two years. Please assists.

May 31, 2024

It has been labeled as the death wobble. When driving down the highway at 65-70 mph and I hit a bump, pothole or a washboard effect in the road with the left front wheel. The whole truck will shake violently. So much that I can barely hold on to the steering wheel. The only way to stop the shaking is to slow the truck down to 30-40 mph. In the middle of the highway. I can watch the other vehicles around me scatter and put on their brakes as they try and avoid me. Sometimes it’s to hard to control and I will waver into another lane or on coming traffic. This happens sporadically and without warning. I have taken the truck to the Ford dealership for $3000 in steering component repairs . I have 60,000 miles on it and it is only used for personal use and never abused. This is a design defect that is going to get someone killed. A heavy duty truck should not have the parts wearing out to such a degree that threatens the lives of everyone on the road around me.

Driving out of state and twice in a three hour period have experienced the death wobble on the interstate , now trying to continue under 50 mph because it is a very scary shaking .

Apr 17, 2024

After we drove over a bumpy section of road the truck experienced uncontrollable shaking. The road conditions were not severe, but were the cause of the shaking. During the immediate aftermath no input was possible apart from taking my foot off the accelerator. The shaking was severe and uncontrolled causing other vehicles in the vicinity to react. It felt like the truck was going to flip over. This has now happened several times since we purchased the truck. We recently had new brakes installed, but that is not the reason for the shaking.

-I was driving 65 mph in morning rush traffic when I drove over an overpass. Near the end of the there are some small wrinkles in the concrete. Once I drove over these wrinkles in the pavement, my steering wheel and front end started violently shaking. I removed my foot from the accelerator and once my speed decreased to I'd say 20-30 mph the shaking stopped. My research show that this if referred to as the Ford Death Wobble. -The system that failed were likely the track bar bushing, damper bracket, ball joints, control arms, shocks, and struts. Yes, the truck is available for inspection upon request. -When the front end of the truck started violently shacking I was going 65 mph in lunch rush hour traffic. I'd say that my life and the life of the drivers of the vehicles to my left, right, and rear were at risk. -No, the problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or anyone else. -No, the vehicle or components have not been inspected by anyone. -No, there were not any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, nor did any warning appear during or after the shaking. -My best assessment of the cause

Increase of speed on a rough tar highway road caused a violent Death Wobble.

Oct 16, 2023

My truck has developed what is colloquially called a death wobble. The truck shakes wildly and aggressively when hitting a bump. It happens most frequently when crossing the transition from roadway to bridge. But it can occure from a bump in the roadway. When it occurs I have no control. I have paid to replace the steering damper That did not alleviate the problem. My truck is a 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty. This wobble has occurred several times. To date, except for the initial occurrence, this has only occurred on interstate highways at regular highway sppeds depending on the particular state speed limit. The initial event occurred on a state highway in Colorado while negotiaing a sweeping left curve. Thereafter, it has only occurred on interstate highways. Speeds have alwasy been 60mph or above, depending on speed limits and trafic conditions.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V337000 (Air Bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving and making a turn into the driveway, the steering wheel lost power steering functionality inadvertently and made a clicking sound. The airbag warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and to a secondary dealer, Bill Utter Ford (4901 S Interstate 35 E, Denton, TX 76210), where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

Death wobble at approximately 60 mph. The truck is absolutely uncontrollable when this occurs. The only way to stop it is to stop the vehicle. This is a known issue with this truck. Will have it evaluated at a shop next week.

DEATH WOBBLE! Driving at any speeds from 30 MPH to highway speeds of 65-70 MPH, the front end (front suspension) of the truck will Wobble Uncontrollably in a Vehement and Violent Manner, making driving unsafe with loss of steering after hitting a small bump or dip in the road/highway. The condition is worse when pulling a 30 foot gooseneck trailer. I have replaced the front shocks, steering damper, and rear shocks and to no avail, the Death Wobble still occurs! This is Major Safety Concern and Life Threatening to myself and anyone on the road during the Death Wobble, and seeing the reaction of other drivers in the opposite direction should be cause for concern! My truck is at a dealer now for inspection of the front end suspension system (drag link, track bar, tie rod ends, ball joints, bushings, tires, and alignment), to include the engine mounts, which were worn and deteriorating (I noticed this when I was replacing my steering damper) probably from the Death Wobble. The tires were balanced and rotated on September 9th by Discount Tire and the technicians there didn't see any problems with the tires or the wheels. I get my tires balanced and rotated about every 7,500 miles and I keep an accurate vehicle history of my truck.

In 2022 Ford issued a recall for my 2016 F250 for the clockspring. In mid 2023 for said sent me a letter telling me the parts are in stock contact a local dealer for repair. I dropped off my tuck and 2 day later I was told by deal it’s fixed come pick it up. I got in my truck and all the same issues were there. Airbag light is on, steering is sticking, no horn or other electrical working on steering wheel. The dealer said they did a temp fix which I later found was not true, Ford has no temp fix. After contacting Ford directly and being sent to another dealing by Ford Corp I was told Ford has no part number or fox for trucks with heated steering. Ford has failed to remedy as their team does not have a part made to correct. This is a safety issues and they have a dealer saying don’t worry your airbag will deploy. Fraud along with failure to remedy in a timely manner.

Vehicle developed a death wabble at 98,000 miles and is getting worse. hit a bump and started to wobble violently and had to hit brakes and pull to side of road and stop to get to quit wobbling. happened two more times on the way home. thought i was going to loose control of vehicle.

Aug 28, 2023

Death wobble. I took it to Vallery Ford in Waverly Ohio. They told Ford recommended that the steering linkage be replaced. They did that and told me the truck was repaired and ready to pick up. I picked it up and as soon as I got over 45mph and ran over a seam in the road the death wobble was the same. I turned around and took it back. They acted like they didn't believe me. I waited about 1 1/2 hours and the service manager finally drove it. When he came back he apologized and said he thought he was going to die. So I left the truck there again. The next time they called to say it was repaired I went back to pick it up. They replaced tie rods, ball joints and track bar ball joints. I drove it home and it kind of bumped along and the steering wheel wasn't straight it was off center to the right. I called them and they told me to bring it back again. I waited at the dealer because they said it would only take about an hour to realign it again. When I drove away the steering wheel was not straight, it was not straight to the left. Turned around and took it back. They said maybe one of the tie rods was defective. I left it there. After about a week and a half they called and said it was done again. I picked it up today. As soon as I got over 45mph the death wobble was back as bad or even worse before I took it in the first time there. I left it, but they said they don't know what else they can do. It's not safe to drive. I'm 68 years old, I am lost over this. What can I do?

HIT A POTHOLE FRONT END SHACKS HAVE TO STOP FAST VERY BAD

Aug 9, 2023

Severe shaking of front end at highway speeds (55-65mph) causing inability to control steering causing immediate reduction in speed to avoid accident and stopping. No warning lamps or messages prior to vehicle shaking. Road was dry and normal conditions. Did not hit any hazard, no potholes, or debris causing damage or explanation as to why truck began to shake. Safety of driver and passengers were at risk due to possible loss of control if continued driving. Problem continued returning to home where vehicle parked approximately 25 miles at 45 mph with no major shaking. This occurred August 6, 2023, at approximately 5:00pm. There was me and one passenger on way to doctor appointment in Tulsa, a 4-hour drive. Did not trust vehicle safety to continue trip. Drove it home and parked. Vehicle is going to be taken to Ford dealership, in Idabel, OK, where purchased and all maintenance has been done. Truck has 33,971.5 miles as sitting now. Not used extensively, highway miles. Will drive to dealership on August 16th, 2023. Leaving it there for them to diagnose and repair the problem. Available to be inspected.

I have difficulty maintaining control of my 2016 Ford F-250 (purchased in 2019) after hitting any bumps going highway speeds, and is notably worse if this happens during any non-straight sections of highway. Commonly referred to as the "death wobble," it does truly feel like the front end of my truck no longer has traction with the road and I am unable to steer the truck safely until the "wobble" resolves, typically once I reduce my vehicle speed under 40mph. There have been instances when I have hit a bump on the highway while the highway is curving to the left or right and my truck will skitter into the next outside lane without my control and have luckily avoided crash/injury. When I am towing my camper (31' 5th wheel), the issue seems to be deflected back to the trailer so I hit a bump and the front end movement gets transferred to the back so I have my trailer whipping back and forth until I reduce my travel speed. I have brought this issue to the attention of more than one Ford dealership and have had my vehicle inspected. I have had the steering damper replaced twice without resolution. One dealership noted a tire arm with "some play" which I chose to have replaced without any significant change in this issue. This dealership did acknowledge there was some steering/control issues with the truck prior to the part being replaced. They also recommended I replace my tires to reduce this issue, which I did, and have not noticed a change either. I maintenance my vehicle as recommended and this issue has been ongoing since 2021. At no point has any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms appeared for this issue. My traction control light doesn't even illuminate when I have lost control of my vehicle and moved into another lane involuntarily.

Jun 6, 2023

Upon hitting small road bump while accelerating to highway speed, steering wheel started violently shaking (death wobble), had to decelerate quickly to regain control. Upon later inspection found steering damper bad and some resulting ball joint play in several areas due to bad steering damper.

A notice of recall was received July 2022 by my family with the following numbers: Safety Recall Notice 22S35 / NHTSA Recall 22V337. I called NHTSA today to follow up on this notice, which in July 2022 I was told by Parsons Ford the fix was not available as of yet. [XXX] with NHTSA gave me a number to Ford's customer care hotline. Ford contacted Malloy Ford in Winchester VA which is suppose to call us when an actionable fix is available. They have no clue when that will be so I contacted NHTSA again today which now says there is no recall on my vehicle. So are we driving a vehicle that could potentially kill us or not. Why would the recall disappear within hours of talking to NHTSA & Ford? INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

When I drove over 50mph and hit any bump the front of the truck shakes wildly. Online says DEATH WOBBLE. This has been going on for 4 months. When taking my children to school 20+ miles away on the highway this has happened several times to and from school on the same day. Other vehicles move out of my line to avoid me while I slow the truck to under 45 mph. They are scared and nervous about getting to school safely. My mother and wife refuse to drive the truck after experiencing this while driving. The fuel injector now also has a problem. The truck is going in to be serviced for the failing fuel injector and death wobble hopefully today if Waldorf MD Ford has openings I am awaiting a call back. It has not been inspected yet only diagnostic at AutoZone showing the fuel injector error code. No warning was given prior to this happening, the truck was riding smoothly, hit a bump in the highway and went crazy. Then it did it again and again and again.

I was experiencing what is known as the "death wobble" in my 2016 Ford F250 FX4 truck. The truck only has 56,000 miles but is out of warranty. I recently spent $1326.00 to have the problem repaired. Apparently this is a major problem with these trucks. I have the repair bill but didn't include it with this statement.

On a highway, 65-70 mph, drove over a rough patch of road and truck front end began to shake violently(death wobble). Happened three times on same day, same trip. On all occasions we were very lucky to be able to stop or slow down without being involved in an accident. I spent $5000 this past summer that was suppose to have fixed the problem.

Truck was driving 70 mph going to TN when it started shaking and grinding or awful noise. Lost control of steering d/t shaking. Slowed down and pulled over to side of road to check vehicle equipment. Made call to my son who said it's the death wobble, advised to slow below 60 mph. No death wobble again unless I hit a bump then it started again.

Dec 5, 2022

At highway speed on Interstate-95, I hit a rough patch of asphalt paving and front end of vehicle began to shake uncontrollably. Vehicle continued to shake violently until speed was significantly reduced below the flow of traffic thus creating an extremely dangerous situation. All 4 shocks and steering stabilizer were replace with upgraded Bilstein brand products bya Ford master mechanic within the last 6 months.

Violently shaking can not control truck, I’ve looked this up and it is known as the death wobble. It looks like they have recalled /027 but not 2016 models what can be done about this. It has happened about 6 times in 3 days

Nov 26, 2022

There was a violent shaking from the front end od my Ford F250 Super Duty trucks happening on the freeway while driving over 50 miles and hour. This has happended 3 times in the last 6 months. It is very dangerous and causes other vehicles around to try and get out of the way. It only stops after reducing to a dangerously low speed on the freeway. It is very scary and life threatening in my opinion. Please recall and correct!

Nov 20, 2022

At speed on interstate after hitting bumps in the roadway front end started to wobble bad. Had to slow down below 45mph to get wobble to stop.

Nov 19, 2022

Ford sent me a recall #22S35 regarding a clock spring contamination of the steering wheel date (5/2022) notice beginning in 6/2022 to have it repaired by making an appt with a local dealer however, the dealer service advisors at Tustin Ford in Ca told me in multiple calls to them that Ford does not have the parts built yet. Please advise John J. Rochefort (949) 285-7171 [email protected]

The airbag light is on as the spring in the steering column has become contaminated which caused audible cracking sounds in steering column, degrading steering and the horn not to function.

I have had multiple repairs done and several components replaced and im still fighting a death wobble issue. It occurs at normal opersting speeds above 40mph when you travel across bumpy surfaces.

Sep 28, 2022

Death wobble occurred this morning for the first time ever. It was terrifying for me and my children. I had to slam on the brakes so hard that I nearly slid off the road! The fact that Ford doesn’t acknowledge this is ridiculous. I hope and pray that this does not occur with my children in the vehicle, or while I’m hauling my horses.

Sep 18, 2022

violent shaking from front end at moderate highway speed experienced when bumps road or when driving on groved surfaces. problem confirmed by ford mechanic and repaired at my expense. Approximately one year later same violent shake. same ford dealer replaced parts originally repaired by them. from time to time a less severe shake has been noted. Have repair invoices. concerned this problem will result one day in loss of vehicle control.

Sep 11, 2022

While driving on a highway I went over a bump in the road and the vehicle started shaking violently and I could not control it. I applied the brakes and slowed to about 30 mph and the shaking stopped. No other motorists were involved.

Traveling on uneven road leads to uncontrollable driving when u hit a bump the front end shakes to the point you have to stop even when passing a vehicle on interstates ( my incident) my mechanic has changed numerous parts , rotated tires ( installed 06 21) i cannot let my wife drive this truck for fear of her not being able to control the shaking if she hits a bump especially while on the interstate I just think she would freak out I did the first time now I am very cautious when driving but in Louisiana it is impossible to miss a bump

Aug 31, 2022

the front end started the death wobble and i lost control and ended up in the dirt in the center divider of the freeway.

Aug 12, 2022

On 08/01/2022 at approximately 1400 hours, I was driving my 2016 Ford F250 4x4 and towing a 5th wheel trailer weighing approximately 14000 lbs. I was traveling at approximately 60 MPH when I hit a small bump on I-215 which caused a violent shaking from the front end of the vehicle (condition commonly referred to as "death wobble"). I immediately released the accelerator to try and correct the violent shake, but the condition continued. I attempted to brake, which caused the condition to worsen and brake efficiency was greatly reduced. Allowing the vehicle to coast and slow down without brake input was the only way to correct the condition. Once we slowed to below 45 MPH, the condition was no longer present. I inspected the front end suspension and steering components of the vehicle. I discovered the ball joint (Ford Part# MCF-2225) securing the track bar to the front axle was warn and had excessive play in it. This play allowed the front axle to have lateral movement perpendicular to the vehicles travel. All other suspension and steering components checked okay. After replacement of the track bar ball joint, the condition has not reoccured. The defective ball joint is available for inspection, however it fell apart when pressed out of the front axle. This issue caused a severe reduction in steering and braking, putting myself and those around me at risk. As the truck is no longer in warranty, it has not been seen by the dealer or a third party. There was no warning prior to the condition occurring.

While driving south on interstate 59, I crossed over a bridge and when I went across the bridge to highway connection and it had a bump in it at this point and at 65 mph the front end went into a violet shimmy and with cars on both sides of me it was all I could do to keep from colliding with the other cars before I could get the truck stopped and off the road. I have inspected all the front ball joints and wheel bearings, can't determine what caused it, but now I'm scared to drive it.

The front-end of vehicle begins to violently shake after crossing over a rough spot in road or driving over grooves in road. The only way to stop the violent shake is to extremely slow or stop the vehicle.

Jul 8, 2022

Writing about the so called "death wobble" of the steering wheel. It happens over 50 mph and when hitting even smallest pot hole or a bump.

Jul 2, 2022

My truck regular experiences violent shakes when I hit bumps in the road when traveling over 45MPH. I was on a bridge today and had to slow traffic to less than 30mph to control the shakes. The last 4 times I have entered the freeway at a specific entrance I have experienced the violent shakes, requiring me to enter the emergency lane to gain control.

Jun 26, 2022

My vehicle violently shakes when hitting even the most minute bump in the road, known to some as the "death wobble." I took it to the dealership to inspect and Ford will not fix it, unless I pay. It is a safety issue and in the last month, I've had four instances where I have stopped traffic behind me while the truck was shaking and it literally bounced its way into another lane. I am a service member and I'm pretty sure if I am injured, the military will sue Ford for the hospital bill. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by Ford. There are no warning lights or warning before it occurs, other than I know to drive real slow and not hit bumps. It cannot be trusted on the highway, so I avoid it now. The first time it happened was in 2021 and I've talked to Ford since, but there is no safety recall.

On approximately 26 May 2022 I was driving down an entrance ramp to I-77 and the front end of the truck started shaking very severely -- violently. This was without any warning and I had never experienced anything like this before on this vehicle, or any other vehicle I had ever driven. I took my foot off the gas and pretty much coasted to the side of the road to a stop. I caught my breath, suspected there was an issue with the shock absorber, and slowly accelerated again and merged onto the interstate and drove the rest of the way home. There were no more similar instances like this for several days. When I got back to my RV I check the shock and could see no problems. On 5 June I went to a local Firestone Service Center for an alignment check and to see if they could find a problem. They made minor corrections to the alignment; told me they could find not problems, even though they told me the tech said there was a lot of vibration at about 55 MPH when he took it for a test drive; and then advised me to take it to a Ford dealer for review. On my drive back to my RV I experienced about 4 more instances of very severe and violent front end shaking of the truck, typically when I was at 55 MPH or faster. In each case the shaking would not stop until I pulled over and came to a stop. On Monday, 6 June I visited two Ford dealerships and one independent repair shop to try and get an analysis and fix. I have been able to make an appointment for 8 June. During the drive back to my RV on the 6th I experienced 3 more vibration events. One of these was as I was decelerating and exiting the interstate and was traveling at about 45 MPH. This front end vibration shakes the front end of the truck and steering wheels extremely bad. I was able to maintain control but it would not take much to send the truck into a sideways skid. From what the Firestone tech told me I believe they were able to confirm the vibration issue, but they did not communicate the severity very well.

THE TRUCK HAS THE DEATH WOBBLE. I HAD DEALER BALANCE DRIVESHAFT 2X, AS WELL AS, THE DEALER ADJUSTED THE ALIGNMENT AGAIN... THE TRUCK IS STILL EXPERIENCING SUSTAINED STEERING WHEEL OSCILLATION AND I AM AGAIN EXPERIENCING THE DEATH WOBBLE, LESS THAN 1,000 MILES AFTER THE MOST RECENT REPAIR. IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT CONSUMERS PURCHASE 50K+ DOLLAR TRUCKS AND SO MANY PEOPLE ARE NERVOUS DRIVING THEM DOWN THE ROAD. FORD KEEPS THE MONTRA UP OF SUCH AS THE FOLLOWING: CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT. REVIEW THE DATA, THE DATA WILL TELL THE STORY. CHANGE POINTS. ROOT CAUSE AND PERMANENT COUNTERMEASURES. I HAVE REVIEWED THE HISTORICAL F250 CREW CAB 4X4 COMPLAINT DATA ON THIS SITE (NHTSA) AND THE DATA DOES TELL A STORY. THAT STORY IS VERY CLEAR THAT FORD IS NOT CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVING THE DEATH WOBBLE ISSUE ON THE SUPER DUTY, INSTEAD IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE. THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE POINT WITH THIS FOURTH GENERATION F250. (2017,2018,2019) AS OF 11/21/19 THE FOURTH GENERATION F250 SUPER DUTY HAS HAD MORE NHTSA SUSPENSION AND STEERING COMPLAINTS FOR THE DEATH WOBBLE THAN THE PREVIOUS TWO GENERATIONS COMBINED. (9 YEARS. SECOND GENERATION 2008-2010 AND THIRD GENERATION 2011-2016) THE CURRENT REPAIRS (COUNTERMEASURES) ARE NOT EFFECTIVE AND ARE NOT PERMANENT. THIS CAN CLEARLY BE SEEN IN THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE COMPLAINTS ON NHTSA. THE REPAIRS EITHER DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AT ALL OR ARE ONLY A TEMPORARILY BAND AID FOR THE ISSUE. THIS IS TRULY A SAFETY CONCERN AND TO DATE NOTHING HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. PLEASE, OPEN AN INVESTIGATION AND FORCE FORD TO PERMANENTLY ADDRESS THE ISSUE.

When driving my 2016 Ford F250 Diesel at 70MPH I hit a bridge transition on Interstate 24. It had a bumpy transition between the road and bridge itself. The trucks front end started shaking violently and the steering wheel was difficult to control from shaking side to side. At first I thought that I blew a tire or that one of my front wheels was about to come off. I hit the brakes to try and get the shaking to stop to no avail. I had to slow down to about 20 mph before the shaking stopped. In the meantime there was a semi behind me that almost rear ended me and had to swerve violently to avoid rear ending me because I had braked unexpectedly. The road conditions were wet with moderate rain and 60 degrees F. I continued driving and it happened 3 other times in the same trip. Two of the other times happened at a rough bridge transition and once was when I hit a pothole at highway speed. Because the truck is a heavy duty truck, I often pull a trailer loaded with granite (up to 26000 lbs GVW. That Day I was carrying a 9500 lb forklift on the trailer transferring it to a jobsite which made bringing the truck slowing down even more dangerous. The next day I called the Ford Dealership to tell them of the problem and the service writer said "oh, you got the Death Wobble". That sounds horrifying in and of itself. I asked him if Ford takes care of this and he said "no, I don't see any recalls on it." This is something that Ford absolutely should take care of. I don't know what causes it, but it is terrifying when it happens and I feel lucky that that 80,000 lb semi didn't devour the back of my trailer and truck. I have scheduled a service appointment to look at the problem but I have little confidence after reading about this issue online that Ford will take any responsibility for this issue. I feel that this is something Ford should be FORCED to fix. Sincerely CONCERNED/SCARED

There is a problem called death wobble with our 2016 F250 truck. Driving down the highway and you hit a dip going over a bridge or a hole in the highway and it starts to wobble and you can hardly control it, you can not apply brakes because it feels like it is going to turn over with you. We use this truck in the roofing business and if we had had the trailer behind it there would have been an accident because there was traffic around us but have been able to stop before an accident. There is always two or three worker riding in the truck and they were scared to death. I do not want someone to be killed because of this problem. I called the dealership were I purchased it and they are telling me I have to pay for the repair. I know there is a class action lawsuit against ford for this problem and don't feel I should have to pay for the repair. I have had two independent service center check it and there is no problem except the wobble they have both driven it and both told me it is the death wobble. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer because they said they would charge me to do that. There is no warning sign that this is going to happen. It happens if your speed is o 65 to 70 miles an hour. I have contracted Ford Motor Co and was advised to write a letter to the office in Dearborn, MI and I will do that when I finish this report. I feel like there should be a recall on this problem before someone is killed or seriously injured from it , if they have not already been. This had happen several time in the last week. I am giving you the last date it happen below.

Driving 65mph on I40 hit a transition area of the pavement and the truck began the shake violently almost unable to control truck due to the shake. Had to come to a complete stop to make it stop. Happened again when I hit the next bump. I have read this is referred to as the death wobble. It is very scary and could cause an accident even loss of life due to an accident.

The front suspension shakes violently after encountering an irregularity in the road commonly referred to by the f250 community as " the death wobble".

Dec 28, 2021

I have experience severe steering oscillation on numerous occasions. The vehicle has 48755 miles as of 28 DEC 21. This condition occurs at highway speeds when driving over a rough road.

Dec 26, 2021

Have been experiencing Wobble of death multiple times driving on the highway. Very scary. Having to stop or slow down quickly in heavy traffic. The Last time was 3 times in 15 minutes on 12/26/21. This happened on IH 10 leaving Beaumont. No warning signs or messages. Just started shaking violently.

Nov 29, 2021

Both Control Arm bushings and Steering Stabilizer have both failed causing a severe Death Wobble at highway speeds. This condition has nearly caused an accident on 4 separate occasions.

I have experienced what is known as the “DEATH WOBBLE” with my 2016 Ford F-250 super-duty pickup. I have taken it back the dealer after the first incident to have it repaired ($291.00) worth and it done it twice since then, less than 3 weeks after repairs. I’m out of town now so I hope I can get it home for it to go back to the dealer for more repairs. I don’t agree with Ford motor co. Decision not to recall all the trucks with this issue. I will not buy another Ford truck unless I know for sure this is resolved.

Nov 18, 2021 Crash

When driving my truck "2016 F250, FX4) on an open highway at 80mph out of no where, i experience what is known as the death wobble, and went off the road into the ditch. The dealership is telling me I need to pay 2000.00 plus dollars to address the problem which appears to be known and have not issued a recall. This same issue happened to my 2014 F250, and the base warranty covered it.

Driving 70... hit a bump in road... shakes violently until I slow down to 25 or so... it shook hard enough to vibrate headache rack and split bead where they join...

Oct 18, 2021

I was driving at 70mph, and the truck went into the death wobble. Violently shaking and bouncing as I drove and slowed down to 25mph on the highway until it finally stopped. I was on a section of highway were I could not get off the road for about another half mile. It happened this morning at 7:15am, and I have not had the opportunity to take it in for service. There were no warning lights that came on. I fear for my safety if it were to happen again. If there was traffic behind me, I may not have been able to slow down as quickly as I did without being hit.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-250. The contact stated that they were experiencing the "death wobble" while driving at various speeds. The failure occurred mostly whenever driving over a bump in the roadway. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer who stated that the steering damper had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired while the complaint was being filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

This vehicle is part of a fleet vehicle that I received new. I originally complained to the dealer that the vehicle has a front-end wobble. I was told originally that it was either the tires or a bad rim. I recently received new tires and the wobble has become unbearable. It is called the death wobble from the reviews I have seen online. When you are driving, the entire truck vibrates so hard that you feel as if you are on a roller coaster. The faster you go, 60-65, the steering wheel shakes with difficulty holding onto the wheel. I searched recalls and there have been none. My concern is that this can lead to an accident and either I or an innocent driver/passenger in another vehicle can be harmed due to the lack of repair or concern of Ford Motor. I called the owner of the Fleet and haven't heard back from the equipment manager. I did contact Ford customer service and reported this. This issue has been present but recently it has become difficult to hold onto the steering wheel. The weather is nice now but if it were in bad weather, this is a DANGEROUS situation. I initially thought it was a flat tire or a broken ball joint or stablizer arm, but it isn't.

AT HIGH SPEEDS 65 PLUS WHEN A BUMP IS HIT THE FRONT OF TRUCK AND STEERING STARTS SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND DOESN'T STOP UNTIL YOU SLOW DOWN TO BELOW 20 TO GET IT TO STOP. THIS VIOLENT SHAKING IN THE STEERING/FRONT END CAN CAUSE LOSE OF CONTROL AND HAVING TO SLOW TO SUCH A SLOW SPEED ON INTERSTATE CAN CAUSE ACCIDENT AND INJURY TO SELF AND OTHERS. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WITH LAST EVENT YESTERDAY AT WHICH TIME A SEMI TRUCK ALMOST REAR ENDED ME.

WHEN I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED OFF OF PINNACLE FORD IN NICHOLASVILLE KY, (NOW HAS 36,700 MILES) I HAD NO IDEA THAT I WAS BUYING A TRUCK WITH THE SO-CALLED "DEATH WOBBLE." LONG STORY SHORT I HAVENT BEEN UNABLE TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK ON ANY LONG TRIPS AND BADLY DREAD IT WHEN I HAVE TO BE ON ANY ROAD WITH A SPEED LIMIT OVER 55 BECAUSE ONCE I BEGIN TO HIT 60 M.P.H. THE FRONT END WILL START TO SHAKE SO BAD THAT THE WORDS SCARY, UNSAFE, AND EMBARRASSING ARE UNDERSTATEMENTS. I HAVE BEEN WAITING PATIENTLY FOR THE FORD "DEATH WOBBLE" RECALL FOR QUITE SOME TIME, BUT I JUST CANT WAIT ANYMORE; I WAS RECENTLY ADVISED TO FILE THIS REPORT. I AM INCLUDING A PICTURE OF ONE OF MY FRONT TIRES THAT WAS NOT SO LONG AGO NEW, AND THEY ARE BOTH CHOPPED SO BAD THAT IF YOU RUN YOUR HAND ACROSS THE TREAD YOUR HAND WILL STOP DUE TO THE EXTREME UNLEVELNESS OF THE TREAD WITH NO EXAGGERATION WHATSOEVER. PLEASE, PLEASE, FORCE FORD TO RECALL THIS TRUCK. I OWN A CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS, AND IF I WERE TO MESS UP SOMEONES NEW DRIVEWAY WITH NO SAFETY ISSUES INVOLVED, I WOULD BE EXPECTED TO FIX IT ASAP, AND FOR THE INTEGRITY OF MYSELF AND MY BUSINESS I SHOULD BE EXPECTED TO FIX IT. IT TRULY AMAZES ME HOW BIG CORPOROTIONS CAN SCREW UP THEIR PRODUCT THAT WE PAY WAY TOO MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR THESE DAYS AND EVEN WITH EXTREME SAFETY ISSUES BEYOND JUST A FAULTY PRODUCT SOLD, THEY CAN LITERALLY CAN GET BY WITH CAUSING WRECKS, DEATHS, AND SELLING FAULTY UNSAFE PRODUCTS; THEY CLEARLY GET BY WITH WHAT THE AVERAGE PERSON OR SMALL BUSINESS OWNER COULD NOT AND CANNOT.

DEATH WOBBLE. SECOND COMPLAINT. TRUCK WORKED ON 2 MONTHS A AGO ($600). WOBBLE RETURNED WITH A VENGEANCE. MAYBE 2,000 ADDITIONAL MILES ON TRUCK. 82,000 MILES CURRENTLY. ON FREEWAY, SPEED 55-65 MPH. HIT A CRACK IN THE ROAD ( NOT A POTHOLE OR ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT ). STEERING WHEEL SHOOK BACK AND FORTH 3-4 INCHES. NOISY, HOOD SHAKING STRONGLY. AGGRESSIVE BRAKING TO BELOW AROUND 40 MPH TO STOP THE DEATH WOBBLE. HAPPENED 3 TIMES WITHIN 3 MILES. DROVE HOME AT 35 MPH. I WASN'T TOO POPULAR WITH THE REST OF THE FREEWAY TRAFFIC. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS THE FRONT END OF MY TRUCK HAS BEGUN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES BADLY AND THE ONLY WAY TO REGAIN CONTROL IS TO BRAKE QUICKLY. IN EACH INSTANCE THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 65 AND 75 MPH AND THE SHAKING SEEMS TO BE INSTIGATED BY HITTING A AN UNEVEN SECTION OF THE ROAD'I SPECIFICALLY RECALL A BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINT AND A POTHOLE THAT SET OFF THE SHAKING. ALL INCIDENTS OCCURRED ON FREEWAY STRAIGHTAWAYS. I TOW A TRAVEL TRAILER AND THIS SHAKING HAS OCCURRED BOTH WHEN TOWING AND NOT TOWING. IN READING A BLOG FREQUENTED BY TRAVEL TRAILER OWNERS, THIS PROBLEM WITH THE F250 HAS BECOME KNOWN AS THE 'DEATH WOBBLE' AND SEEMS TO BE EXPERIENCED BY MANY. I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER, SINCE THE SOLUTION TO WOBBLE IS RAPID BRAKING GIVEN THE FACT THAT THIS OCCURS ON FREEWAYS AT RELATIVELY HIGH RATES OF SPEED, I IMAGINE IT WILL ONLY BE A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL AN ACCIDENT OCCURS. I HAVE ASKED THE FORD DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER THEY CLAIM IGNORANCE. A YOU TUBE VIDEO ENTITLED: FORD F-250: DEATH WOBBLE STRIKES 3 TIMES PROVIDES VIDEO EVIDENCE OF THIS SHAKING.

I AM GETTING A DEATH WOBBLE. I BOUGHT IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AROUND 50 THOUSAND MILES ON THE TRUCK AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK IN TO THIS. THEY TOLD ME I NEED TO CHANGE THE TIRES. WHICH I DID AND I ROTATE THEM EVERY 5,000 TO 10,000 MILES. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY TO NIGHT AT 70 MPH WHICH IS THE SPEED LIMIT. I WAS IN A TRANSITION FROM THE FREEWAY TO BRIDE AND THAT LITTLE BUMP PUT ME INTO A DEATH WOBBLE. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE TRUCK WHICH THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES VIOLENTLY AND THE WHOLE TRUCK SHAKES. THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO STOP IS BRING TO A DEAD STOP. WHICH I HAD TO DO ON THE FREEWAY ALMOST GETTING REAR ENDED BY A SEMI TRUCK. THIS WAS THE FINAL STRAW. IT HAPPEN TO ME 2 TIMES MORE ON THE WAY HOME. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO ONE BEHIND ME. I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING IT. FORD HAS BEEN GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. I AM AFRAID EVERY TIME THAT I HIT A BUMP ITS GOING TO HAPPEN. I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THIS VEHICLE AND IT IS UNSAFE FOR ROAD USE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO IF I SELL IT I WILL LOSE MONEY. I BRAKED AND THEN BACK ON THE GAS AND IT WAS FINE. I'VE READ A TON ABOUT THE "FORD DEATH WOBBLE" AND FEARED THIS WHEN BUYING A F250 BUT DIDN'T THINK THAT I TOO WOULD BE A VICTIM OF THIS POOR DESIGN BY FORD. I ROTATE AND BALANCE MY TIRES EVERY 5K TO 15K MILES AND ALIGNMENT CHECKED OKAY. VERY FRUSTRATING I HAVE TO BUY NEW PARTS FOR A TRACK THAT SHOULD LAST 100K+ WITHOUT ISSUES. I ORDERED AN AFTERMARKET (FOX) STABILIZER SHOCK BECAUSE THE FORD OEM ONE ON THE TRUCK WAS SHOT (LOST ALL ITS GAS OR LEAKED). AGAIN ONLY 48K MILES WHAT A JOKE! UNFORTUNATELY THE STABILIZER SHOCK HASN'T COMPLETELY SOLVED THE ISSUE. WITH 24,000 MILES ON MY TRUCK MY VEHICLE FRONT TIRES AND STEERING WHEEL EXPERIENCED A VIOLENT SHAKING TO WHERE MY TRUCK FELT LIKE THE AXLE WAS GOING TO FALL OFF. IT HAS BEEN IN THE FORD DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES FOR THIS DEATH WOBBLE. THE FIRST TIME I WAS GOING 70 MPH ON THE FREEWAY AND WENT OVER A BRIDGE JOINT WHICH TRIGGERED THE SHAKING. AS SOON AS I SLOWED DOWN BELOW 45 (ON THE FREEWAY MIND YOU), THE WOBBLE GOES AWAY AND MY TRUCK RIDES LIKE NORMAL. I PULLED OVER TO INSPECT, BUT I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY FOUND THAT MY BALL JOINTS WERE DESTROYED, AND REPLACED THEM. THREE MONTHS LATER THE DEATH WOBBLE CAME BACK AND I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER WHO ORIGINALLY REPLACED THE BALL JOINTS, AND ONCE AGAIN THE NEW BALL JOINTS WERE DESTROYED. THIS TIME THEY ALSO INSTALLED A STEERING STABLEIZER WHICH MADE THE FRONT END FEEL BETTER, BUT AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF DRIVING IT, THE DEATH WOBBLE CAME BACK. I NOW TOOK MY TRUCK TO ANOTHER DEALER WHO INSTANTLY FOUND A TECHNICIAN SERVICE BULLETIN (TSB) #16-0087 WHICH IS POSTED FROM FORD IN APRIL OF 2016 WHICH STATES THAT SOME SUSPENSION PARTS NEED TO BE ADDED TO THE REAR OF MY TRUCK, SO THEY INSTALLED THOSE PARTS..THE VERY NEXT DAY THE DEATH WOBBLE CAM BACK, AND THE DEALERSHIP INSTALLED A NEW TRACK BAR,THIS TIME EVEN THOUGH IT DIDN'T LOOK DEFECTIVE, BUT BECAUSE AFTER HAVING MY TRUCK FOR A MONTH, AND EVEN WITH THE HELP OF FORD'S MECHANICAL SPECIALISTS AT THE MAIN HEADQUARTERS COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING ANYTHING ELSE WRONG. AT THE SAME TIME I WAS APPROACHING A CURVE AND LITERALLY HAD TO STOP TO MAKE THE SHAKING GO AWAY. FORTUNATELY NOBODY WAS FOLLOWING ME ON THE HIGHWAY AND I WAS GOING THE SPEED LIMIT OF 55MPH WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THE PROBLEM HAS ALSO HAPPENED ON CERTAIN CITY STREETS WHEEL YOU HIT A POT HOLE OR ROAD SEEM IN JUST THE RIGHT WAY. I CONTACTED A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED SEVERAL FRONT END COMPONENTS AND TOLD ME THAT THOSE REPAIRS WOULD FIX MY ISSUE. MY TRUCK NOW HAS 47K MILES ON IT AND THE PROBLEM IS SLOWLY RETURNING. IT USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU ARE IN A SLIGHT TURN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND HIT ANY TYPE OF BUMP OR ROUGH PATCH IN THE ROAD.

WHILE TRAVELING 65MPH IN A POSTED 65MPH ZONE, I DROVE OVER UNEVEN PAVEMENT. THIS CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL AND VEHICLE TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE. SO SEVERE WAS THE SHAKING THAT MY COFFEE CUP SHOOK OUT OF THE SNUG CUP HOLDER IT WAS IN, THE OVERHEAD SUNGLASS STORAGE COMPARTMENT CAME OPEN AND THE PASSENGER-SIDE SUN VISOR CAME DOWN. WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES, THE SHAKING BECAME WORSE AND I COULD NOT CONTROL THE VEHICLE. ONLY WHEN I DECELERATED WITHOUT BRAKING DID THE SHAKING STOP, AT ABOUT 35MPH. THIS WAS EXTREMELY TERRIFYING, SO MUCH SO THAT A FELLOW MOTORIST, WHO WITNESSED THE ORDEAL, STOPPED BEHIND ME ON THE SHOULDER TO MAKE SURE I WAS OKAY.

THIS TRUCK STARTING DOING THE DEATH WOBBLE AT ABOUT 50 MPH. RAN OVER SOME RUMBLE STRIPS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AND THE WHEELS SHOOK VIOLENTLY. PUT NEW DRAG LINK, TIE ROD AND STEERING DAMPNER, STILL DID IT. PUT NEW TRACKBAR AND BALL JOINT, BUSHING AND HAD ALIGNMENT STILL DOING IT. IT IS AT DEALER NOW REPLACING TRACK BAR BALL JOINT, SHOCKS AND HAVING ALIGNMENT SHIMMED. TOTAL COST ABOUT 3500.

WHEN DRIVING ON ROAD/INTERSTATE OVER 60 MPH AND HIT A ROUGH SPOT IN THE ROAD THE FRONT END SHAKES VIOLENTLY. ALMOST LOOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS VERY OFTEN. SHAKES SO BAD YOU NEED TO SLOW DOWN TO ABOUT 30 MPH BEFORE IT STOPS. NOT SAFE.

WITH 37K MILES ON MY VEHICLE AND ALL MAINTENANCE PERFORMED AND FOLLOWED BY DEALER, I WAS DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH HAULING A 13K LB 5TH WHEEL RV WHEN SUDDENLY TRUCK AND STEERING STARTED TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. WITH A HEAVY LOAD ATTACHED I BRAKED AND SLOWED VEHICLE TO 50 MPH TO STOP SHAKING. I WAS 200 MILES FROM NEAREST FORD DEALER IN EL PASO AND DROVE TRUCK AND RV THERE FOR IMMEDIATE SERVICE. INTERNET RESEARCH SHOWS THIS CONDITION IS COMMON WITH F250 TRUCKS EVEN UNDER 10K MILES! THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING EPISODE ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEED. THERE IS A FORD TSA WHICH DESCRIBES THIS PROBLEM.

THIS IS A CONTINUING PROBLEM, THE SERVICE MANAGER AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP STATED THERE IS NO TSB FROM FORD RECOGNIZING THE 2016 HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DEATH WOBBLE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE PARTS IN THE FRONT END THAT FORD SAYS TO ON MODELS THAT EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE. THIS HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WITH ALL THESE VEHICLE AND FORD KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO HELP THE CONSUMER. I HAVE SPENT OVER $2000 TO FIX THIS AND IT'S NOT FIXED YET.

MY TRUCK, WITH 41,000 MILES , IS SUFFERING WHATS BEING REFERRED TO ONLINE AS THE " DEATH WOBBLE ". THE SYMPTOMS BEGAN AT AROUND 21,000 MILES AND IT HAS GROWN STEADILY WORSE. IT HAPPENS WHEN HITTING BUMPS OR BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS AT HIGHWAY SPEED, FORCING ME TO SLOW TO APPROX 20 MPH TO REGAIN CONTROL, WHICH IS VERY UNSAFE ON A CROWDED HIGHWAY. THE DEALER I PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM NEW SAID IT IS NOT A WARRANTY ITEM AND MAY NOT EVEN BE COVERED UNDER MY ADDITIONALLY PURCHASED 10 YEAR 100,000 MILE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE TRUCK IS ESSENTIALLY UNSAFE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND MY WIFE WONT EVEN RIDE IN IT. FORD IS IGNORING A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THEIR PRODUCT , PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY BEEN HURT , SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED! PLEASE HELP!! I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR TUEDAY , 10-23-18. THEY HAVE INFORMED ME THAT ANY WORK THEY DO MAY BE ON MY DIME , WHICH JUST BLOWS MY MIND. AGAIN , PLEASE INTERJECT INTO THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED AND TO SAVE THE BUYERS FROM HAVING TO PAY FORD TO ADDRESS THIS OBVIOUS ENGINEERING MISTAKE.

HAS A HISSING SOUND UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE ,HAS BEEN GIVING US UPSET STOMACHS AND SOMETIMES HEAD ACHES,JUST PLAIN SICK FEELING, WHEN THE AC AND DEFROST ARE ON. ALSO FROM END ABS SEEMS TO ENGAGE WHEN GOING AROUND A BEND AND THEN SUPPOSEDLY THE AUTO CORRECT KICKS IN AND TRIES TO CORRECT THE TRUCK PULLING STEERING WHEEL. WAS TOLD THEY TESTED ONE TRUCK AND IT DID IT ONE TIME,THIS IS AFTER THEY PUT IN COUNTLESS HRS ON LABOR PLUS A $1000 INTO A NEW STEERING COLUMN AND DETERMINED THAT IT IS NORMAL OPERATING CONDITION. DIDN'T BUY IT FOR THIS GOD FOR SAKE NOISE . AS FOR THE HISSING,TOLD ME TO DETAIL THE TRUCK AND THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO DO ANYMORE FOR THIS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE FIRST WEEK OF BUYING THIS TRUCK. OVER AND OVER TO THE DEALERSHIP,THEY KEEP PUTTING NEW PARTS ON. IF THIS IS NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS,THAN WHY DON'T THEY KNOW WHAT TO REPLACE AND KEEP PUTTING MORE TEST AND PARTS. NO ANSWER ON THE HISSING SOUND AND VERY VERY RUDE MANAGERS AT DEALERSHIP.
