Leaving him with Grandbaby and when we stopped I went to get her out of her car seat but the passenger side rear would not unlock. What would happen if the car was on fire and the door lock would not work properly. The driver said will rarely work properly with the physical key itself and now the auto locks don't work. Cannot believe this is not required to be repaired as it really jeopardizes the safety of infants in car seats. Such a easy fix for this type of possible safety issue. I have 3 Ford trucks and 1 Ford Explorer but very concerned the newest is a accident waiting to happen with one of my Grandkids and these inoperative locks.

2020 F250 Experienced the death wobble while traveling on freeway at 70 mph after running over bumps .

While driving on the interstate, my truck began to lose power and decelerate. A fuel pump and engine warning light appeared. I began to lose power steering while decelerating. When I finally stopped and the truck turned off, I tried restarting which resulted in a cranking noise and was not successful in starting. I had to contact a towing company for assistance and my truck has been undriveable since this date (7/6).

High Pressure Fuel Pump Failure: On [XXX] While driving on the highway our 2020 F250 Super Duty Vin # [XXX] experienced a complete and sudden loss of power in the fast lane, creating an extremely dangerous situation. Our safety and the safety of others were at risk due to us merging across 4 lanes in heavy traffic with no power steering and no motor function, parking in a very narrow shoulder area and requiring a tow from the highway. After towing and a diagnostic evaluation, it was determined that the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failed, a known safety concern with a recall issued our truck being built in Kentucky on August 2, 2020 The cost of repairs are around $15,000. This vehicle is housed at a local diesel mechanic, and is available for inspection upon request, and has not been inspected by anyone currently. When will this recall be remedied? When temperature is below 32 degree clock spring in steering makes noise and causes steering to become stiff also renders horn in operable in positions while driving. I have brought this vehicle to get it fixed under warranty and the temperature raised to 40 degrees and everything worked as it should. I got cut off the other day and when I honked my horn it made no noise!

Rec'd recall notice but with no available resolution offered to us. The letter says the risk is "A loss of motive power increase the risk of crash". We drive this truck on the regular. Also, we have a 2,000 mile trip planned with children in the truck. How do you expect us to drive this truck and take this planned trip when Ford's own words say we are at risk of a crash? Will you put pressure on Ford to pay for us a rental vehicle until this is resolved?

In Re REPEAT complaints, 22S09 NHTSA Recall Number22v087 Stephanie at Ford Recalls arranged for Lenoir City Ford to do a quick inspection of the UNDERBODY INSULATION. We agreed no other work was to be done. L.C. REFUSED to inspect the underbody insulation in re this NHTSA Recall. The Service Writer was caught LYING TO ME 4 TIMES, demanding they could not do the Inspection without an appointment (Ford Rep said she had arranged otherwise) then stated they had to inspect wiring (irrelevant) and driveshaft (irrelevant, no loose insulation so there cannot be driveshaft damage). I put a Google Review on line (K8BYP) with all these details. This is the THIRD Ford Dealer that has refused or failed to inspect for this safety hazard.

I am an Engineer in several capacities (Electronic, Mechanical, Automotive) and have studied motor vehicle fluids and lubricants in chemical and physical properties details. 2020 Ford 250 TRUCK, not light passenger veicle. A Ford Dealer, Ted Russell Parkside, 9925 Parkside Dr in Knoxville TN, sold me the WRONG POWER STEERING FLUID FOR THIS COMMERCIAL VEHICLE (TRUCK). Invoice [XXX] dated 10/02/2024. The purpose was routine maintenance on a nearly new truck. They sold me passenger CAR Power Steering (PS) fluid, not the correct Motocraft Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) : 1. ) as clearly specified on page 367 of the vehicles Owners Manual 2.) as obvious by looking at the dark red fluid, its obviously Ford ATF I took the steering fluid back to this Ford Dealer who blamed the mistake on a computer printout, which is a false excuse considering point 1.) above. The Parts Manager tried to blame me for the mistake stating I hadnt supplied the vehicles VIN number so they could look up the correct fluid. That was a deliberate LIE as: 1.) The Owner can find the correct fluid without knowing VIN as in 1.) above 2.) The Dealers Parts Employee neither asked for the VIN nor went out to get it as the vehicle was on their parking lot at the time of sale, 3.) An attempt at Blaming the Victim (me) which is a deliberate deceptive tactic Replacing the steering fluid in this heavy truck with the wrong, passenger car fluid, will result in fluid failure because normal PS fluid does not have the high pressure additive chemicals that are in the correct ATF. The wrong fluid will not lubricate the steering pump or rack in operation, especially at heavy loads, and cause excessive metal-to-metal wear and probably longer term steering failure which can result in accident or death. This further could be a deliberate fraud, as the un-knowing vehicle Owner would see system failure at some time in the future without being able to link the steering failure to installing the wrong fluid. Pulling my 5th wheel home to California today from Williams AZ on [XXX]. The truck has just over 53k miles. At least 8 times today my wife and I experienced the death wobble traveling on [XXX]. These episodes were difficult to overcome as we were in freeway traffic. The front end shook so violently that it took everything I had to maintain my lane, slow down and not become involved in an accident or wreck. I have called Ford customer service and have received a case #. As well I have an appt Wednesday at the dealership. malfunctioning component is transmission safety has been affected by hesitation in shifting during normal driving, no catastrophic failure yet though vehicle has been inspected by dealership no warning lamps or DTCs issues are ongoing and stated this is "normal" for this transmission (was not an issue the first 65000 miles)

Electronic tailgate release has stopped working in a similar manner as my 2018 F150 which was recalled.

Was driving on the highway when my truck(2020 f250) dash lit up, steering got extremely heavy, no abs, no drive modes, lost of collision emergency braking, lost all trailering functions, lost auto 4 wheel drive, hill assist, hill decline assist while hauling 10,00lbs. Ran diagnostics and it appear to be a wheels speed sensor. However, it went away and is now an intermittent issue. I understand parts fail on a truck but I am extremely concerned that I lost all of my safety features as well as all my towing features while towing on a highway, yet the truck still drives. I couldn't imagine towing max capacity (22,500lbs) and losing all those functions, it would almost guarantee a crash. How can a vehicle this new be rendered useless with a small sensor malfunction and continue to drive.

On 8-22-2022 upon arriving at the work site my Australian Shepherd jumped from the cab of the truck catching her left front leg in the hole in the running board resulting in a severe compound fracture resulting in surgery.

After hitting a bump/pothole on the road a violent shaking took place throughout the vehicle, the steering wheel shook violently. I was able to slow down to approximately 10mph and the vibration stopped. I then continued on my journey. It happened another 5 times. This happened in a construction zone with no where to pull off. Through sheer strength I was able to control the truck, but vehicles behind me had to slow down as well. No inspection done as yet, vehicle going to dealer on 03/07/2022. Online reports of something similar called "death wobble". No inspection by police or insurance. No warnings or warning messages etc.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The RPM revved up. The brake pedal was applied however, the vehicle was slow to respond and decelerate. Additionally, while reversing the vehicle accelerated without warning. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on multiple occasions where it was diagnosed with a reprogramming needed and turbo adjustment. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was next taken to Benson Ford, Inc (4701 Calhoun Memorial Hwy, Easley, SC 29640, (864) 855-5383) and diagnosed that the transmission valve body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The contact mentioned that he was concerned about driving the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 1,000.

On numerous occasions when trying to accelerate to merge into traffic, the throttle does not respond to the request for multiple seconds, then power is returned and truck lunges. This has caused merging traffic to not understand my intention and they overcompensate. This also happens when trying to overcome another vehicle, which could lead to inability and raises risk of not having enough anticipated lead time to overcome other vehicle.

Vehicle hesitates when pressing accelerator from complete stop slow speed. Scares me sometimes when trying to cross a busy intersection. You press on the gas and vehicle either doesn't move for an instant or if rolling vehicle will actually slow down before taking off. This happens multiple time a day.

Dec 24, 2020

FREQUENTLY APPLICATION OF ACCELERATION RESULTS IN NO RESPONSE FROM VEHICLE. WHEN MAKING TURNS INTO TRAFFIC AND ACCELERATION IS NEEDED TO AVOID COLLISION THE TRUCK WILL NOT RESPOND TO THROTTLE INPUT. THIS HAS RESULTED IN MANY NEAR MISS SITUATIONS.

WHILE A TRAILER IS ATTACHED TO THE TRUCK, THE TAILGATE OPENS AUTOMATICALLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR EVERY TIME BUT DOES OCCUR OFTEN WHILE TOWING. IT TYPICALLY OPENS WHEN FIRST STARTING TO MOVE, WHETHER FORWARD OR REVERSE. IT MAY OPEN REPEATEDLY AFTER CLOSING AND ATTEMPTING TO START MOVING AGAIN.
