2021 FORD F-250 Suspension Problems

I am the original owner of this 2021 F250, (by my notes, dates & miles may differ slightly by Ford/Dealer records) I first noticed Death-Wobble around [XXX] @ 3,040 miles & Ron Alpen Ford checked factory alignment & ordered an updated steering stabilizer. Updated steering stabilizer was on back order until around 8/8/23 @ 26,647 miles when it was installed on the F250. As you can see, over two thirds of this truck's three year bumper to bumper warranty was dissolved by back order. This is where I believe Ford Motor Company's engineering group got involved & recommended a custom alignment, I believe this was performed by Ron Alpen Ford around 4/8/24 @ 33,486 miles. As you can see, over half of this truck's remaining warranty was dissolved waiting on Ford Motor Company's assistance. Ford Motor Company fell silent after recommending I take the truck to a different Ford Dealer for a second opinion... I still do not believe a second opinion was the correct opinion of Ford... Ford should have supported Ron Alpen Ford further in this repair. I set up an appointment at Courtesy Ford, Courtesy had the truck for two full weeks straight... Ford claimed that the truck had conveniently made it outside of the warranty period... 12/3/24 @ 35,922 Courtesy replaced the drag link & the steering stabilizer a SECOND time as the continuing death-wobble had destroyed the first updated steering dampener at my expense because the truck was conveniently out of the 3 year warranty period... Courtesy also decided to return the truck to its original factory alignment even though they were asked not to. Death-wobble continued as of [XXX] @ 36,105 miles. I have contacted Ford Motor Company, Ron Alpen Ford & Courtesy Ford on 12/11/24 to inform them the truck still has Death-Wobble & as of 12/27/24 no reply from any one. I have called Courtesy Ford requesting my money back because they guaranteed the truck would be fixed & it clearly is not. [XXX] 275m rear axle tubes are crushed in and it has eaten the end off of the driveshaft. Truck has not towed more than 17000 lbs via gooseneck trailer. Reached out to Ford Motor Company and go no solution for repairs. Same rear-ended has s recall for the very same damage to the axle tubes. The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the independent mechanic for routine maintenance, the mechanic informed the contact that a small amount of fluid had leaked from the front differential. Additionally, the contact stated while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal metallic and whining sound coming from the front driver's side of the vehicle. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 60,000.

The vehicle severely swerves when hitting any type of bump or hole in the road. This is a common issue and very dangerous.

On multiple occasions now I have experienced the death wobble after hitting a bump in the road. Today the vehicle shook so violently that it crossed into the lane next to me on a curve. I do not feel safe in the vehicle now and pray that someone addresses this problem asap before an innocent person is killed. This has not been inspected by any dealerships or insurance reps. No warning lamps or other anomalies observed. The vehicle currently has 53k miles on it.

DEATH WOBBLE Driving 70-75 mph . Speed limit. I hit some some rough patches on the interstate and the truck shook uncontrollably. It’s happens twice in 30 miles. Very scared.

Driving about 60MPH hit a small bump on the Freeway and the death Wobble happened. Almost lost control of the truck and trailer. slowed down and it stopped, checked for a blow out and nothing, continued down the freeway again small bump and the wobble started again.

Shocks rear are showing licking with in one year. Of ownership.

Driven on freeway hit 65 speed start shaking every time. I have to slow down

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle started shaking uncontrollably, without any warning. The contact was able to stop on the side of the roadway. The checked for a possible tire blowout however, there was no blowout. The vehicle then started operating as designed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 43,900.

While driving on State highway 59, a small bump in the road sent the truck into a violent shake where I almost lost control of the vehicle. This violent shake is and can be life threatening to my family and I, as well as nearby others. Now Ford is charging me for fixing the life-threatening defect. It does not seem right that Ford by their defect threaten my family life with a year-old car and I have to pay for the fix.

While Driving down the highway at ~75 MPH, the highway had a bit of a bumpy patch and when the truck went over this bumpy section of road the steering wheel started to wobble horribly and uncontrollably. It felt like a harmonic imbalance in the front end and continued until slowing down and pulling over. This is a very dangerous situation when this problem occurs- the vehicle cannot be effectively controlled. When I returned home I researched this condition and come to find out this issue is well known as the "F250 Death Wobble". We should all be ashamed that a car company was allowed to ignore this and not issue a recall. They know exactly what the issue is and chose not to fix it. I'm sure the bean counters at Ford figured that the number of deaths caused by this issue and paying the ensuing lawsuits was more cost effective than fixing the issue via a recall. I have experienced the “death wobble” on (5) different occasions driving on highways and/interstate roads. I have contacted a Ford dealership and been told that they have not heard of this happening with the 2021 vehicles. I had to take it to an automotive mechanic shop to ask them and they said that they have numerous customer complaints of exact death wobble incident. No visible and obvious looseness in any ball joint was found today when placed on repair rack. This same issue was present in a 2017 f250 that Ford finally enacted a recall for repairs in years past. This is a horrible problem. It is definitely a problem. Why would Ford be allowed to not correct this problem prior to major injury or deaths occur. This is an absolute disgrace. I spent $50 at a mechanic shop today and just placed an order with Superlift Suspensions in West Monroe, LA for a, recently designed, dual steering stabilizer for $325 in an attempt to not die at the wheel due to loss of control while driving. Additional expense will be incurred to have said steering stabilizer installing hopes of avoiding a major accident at legal rates of speed. PLEASE require that Ford Motor Company correct this problem. It is ridiculous to have to spend money and time away from work on an issue that is without a doubt, obvious and real. It was a problem with past Ford F250 trucks such as my 2017. It is a problem as well in the 2021 F250 trucks and for Ford to not acknowledge this is unacceptable.

I was driving on the highway with 3 other passengers, at around 75 mph when my steering wheel started to shake wildly and my truck started to shake violently, to the point of almost losing control. I let off the gas and changed lanes to the right and breaked hard to a stop on the shoulder. I got out and inspected all 4 tires, expecting to see a front tire flat… but everything looked fine. I got back in and truck and drove off. Everything seemed normal. Friend from work explained about Ford Truck’s and Jeep’s infamous “Death Wobble.” Freaked me out, and scared the crap out of the other adult passengers. This worries me for my upcoming family road-trip.

Dear staff; I purchased my 2021 Ford F-250 new July 25th, 2021. I noticed my undercarriage was covered in great portions of rust. The front driveshaft to the outer ends and the rear housing, including the rear driveshaft u-joint has a significant amount of rust. What’s surprising is I have only 5400 miles and the truck appears to look 20 years old. I have a neighbor who is a GM of another competitor dealership. He crawled under the truck and said this is a safety issue which needs to be addressed. Two Ford dealership Service managers informed over the phone this is a common issue and not to be concerned. I have owned eight Ford pickups throughout my life and never had this deep concern. Knowing this rust has perforated the tie rods, I don’t feel safe driving this $60,000 vehicle. My only recourse since Ford won’t honor its warranty is for me to trade it in on a GMC. I have been loyal to Ford for 36 years to finally get shrugged off.

The steering wheel started shaking violently, fighting with me for control. Observers said my tires looked as though they where coming off. While this was occurring the vehicle drifted toward the center lane as if the alignment was out. Dealership stated it was called Death wobble a known issue on F-250's but it was not a recall

The truck has has a vibration from the rear of the vehicle coming from either the drive shaft or within the rear end assembly. The vibration begins at 67 mph and goes away at 70 mph, comes back at 72 mph and goes away at 75 mph and then comes back at 77 mph. I have not driven the truck beyond the third vibration speed. My concern is that something mechanical has a problem and there is no way to determine when and to what degree it will fail. Extensive testing has been done by the Ford Dealership with the assistance of Ford technical and they as yet cannot determine the cause. Furthermore, Ford and the Dealer do not wish to try any further to find the cause. The Dealers solution was to tell Ford to buy the truck back. Fords solution was to offer and extended warranty. I travel across wide expanses of desert in Arizona and California. If the truck fails while crossing the desert, I would be in a serious health jeopardy.
