The door lock actuator has failed on the front driver side door. It does not work with the key fob or the door lock switch.
While my truck was under warranty, I reported intermittent failure of the front passenger door lock not functioning. Because it was intermittent, the dealership said since they couldn't replicate the issue they would not try to fix the issue. Now that I am out of warranty, the lock has failed completely and the front passenger door does not automatically lock when I am driving. The safety issue is that it will not lock or unlock automatically when it should. All other door locks work properly. Ford has refused to fix this as if it were still under warranty.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V132000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The dealer informed the contact that the next available recall repair appointment would be in six months. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
AC evaporator temperature sensor has gone out at 40k miles. Cannot defrost truck windshield to see properly. Ford TSB 22-2089. Have been quoted $3000 to remove dash and replace.
The BJB fuse panel gets water in it .The vehicle produces multiple alarms and the throttle stops working . So when going down the road it goes to a idle and you can't get out of the way of other vehicle's . The ford dealership said the BJB Panels do get water in them but have not heard of them causing this problem. There was a list of alarm's from the fuse panel failure it all happened about the same time .
Loss of power windows, loss of A/C and heat, loss of turn signals, loss of radio, and loss of head lights. As well as engine not shutting off after key is pulled out. The first initial problems arose a year ago, not long after purchasing a 2022 Ford f250 superduty. Only when it rained or during very cold days the power to the front dash would be out including power windows and locks, radio, and A/C and heat. Ford dealership was unable to diagnose the problem. A year down the road, directly following a hard rain, the engine would not shut off when turning the key and removing it. I had to pull the fuel pump relay fuse from under hood to get the truck to shut off. After removing the lid, which was way too easy to take off, I noticed that all th box fuses were submerged in water. Yes there are safety concerns, what if my child ir myself was to get trapped inside the truck if the power windows and locks are malfunctioning? And on a hot day when the heat and air conditioning are also not working? How long would the truck have to continue to run before it shut off? There are electrical fire risks directly correlated with water in the fuse box. There were no warning lamps. Ford posted a service bulletin on regards to this matter. The power distribution module and the fuse box lid are at fault. The truck has since been repaired and are making us pay for it because it is 5,000 miles out of warranty. WE ARE extremely dissatisfied Ford customers!
My reverse camera (the bed camera) quits working at random times. Sometimes it works fine. Other times it shows nothing but a white static looking screen and sometimes the button just doesn’t respond at all when I try to select the bed camera option.
ENG Light is on and losing throttle. When it loses throttle wrench light comes on. While driving on the interstate, the truck loses power and reduces speed on its own. It is difficult to maneuver to the side of road. It has been towed several times and repaired by more than one Ford dealership. We requested a buy back when the truck was under a year old and Akins Ford Winder Ga. refused to buy it back. It currently has 37,000 miles and has been sitting at the Akins dealership for two weeks. This truck could potentially cause an accident because it decelerates quickly and because of its size it is difficult to steer out of Atlanta, GA traffic. I have warned Ford Relationship director that someone will be injured in this vehicle. I was informed that I should contact NTSB and the Attorney General State of Georgia.
Vehicle was towing a trailer and the vehicle would not apply the trailer brakes. Further, the vehicle showed on the driver information screen that the trailer was disconnected.
Brand new truck. Initial problem 6-8/2022: The truck would shut off after 15 minutes and then would not start for 45 minutes, I repeated this 4 times. Then while I was driving and turning around in a parking lot it actually stopped, everything went dead, no lights, key didn't have any affect, nothing, and then it started after 10-15 minutes. Dealer replaced the fuse box and I haven't had a problem until the other day. Current problem 7/2023: I was driving about 35 MPH and it just died, no power, no lights, no radio, nothing except interior lights. Tried numerous times to start it but nothing, no sound at all, dead. After about 8 minutes it started. Called numerous dealers and could not get the vehicle looked at for at least 6 weeks and they were skeptical they would be able to find anything unless it did it while at the dealer. The truck has 18,000 miles on it now so it is a very rare problem yet one that could cause a dangerous situation if it dies at the wrong time. I'm extremely concerned the truck could die while driving on the interstate, which I do frequently.
Trailer brakes would not activate from controller going downhill. Truck was able to see trailer in system and appropriate gain from controller however trailer brakes would not respond.
The dash light says " trailer not connected when the trailer is connected. When using the sponge brake inside for the electric trailer bracks. It comes up saying trailer wiring fault. The trailer has been to a shop to ensure the wiring and plug end are good. Other trailers have the same issue when hooked to this truck.
