Subject: Safety Recall 24V-957 – Loss of Power Risk – Dealer Mishandling I am filing a complaint regarding Ford recall 24V-957 (Ford reference 24S78) for my vehicle. The recall states the defect can cause: “Loss of driving power, increasing the risk of a crash” “Engine stall” “Loss of motive power while driving” My vehicle has shown symptoms consistent with these safety risks. When I brought the vehicle to the dealership: 1. They claimed fuel contamination but provided a fuel sample with a Dec 3 timestamp, even though they originally claimed the issue was discovered on Nov 26, raising chain-of-custody concerns. 2. They have refused to properly address the recall or escalate the matter. 3. They threatened to report my rental car as stolen, even though I have not refused to return it and the vehicle is still under an unresolved recall safety issue. 4. Ford Customer Care refuses to intervene and instructs me to deal only with the dealership, despite this being a manufacturer safety recall. This situation has left me without clear direction, without safe transportation, and with concerns about dealership misconduct and improper handling of a safety-critical recall. I am requesting NHTSA review this recall handling and ensure Ford properly manages recall repairs, towing, rental support, and dealer oversight.

The truck has 66,500 miles. One of our employees was driving and had the harmonic balancer bolt back out and harmonic balancer fell off. Truck has been sent to Midway Ford in Roseville, MN for repair.

I was driving at a highway speed of 65 mph when suddenly the check engine light came on and the speed quickly dropped to 25 mph. The alert that appeared on the truck computer was low fuel pump pressure. This put myself and my family at risk of a severe accident. The dealership found corrosion in the fuel line and a problem with fuel pump. They felt it was possibly from contaminated fuel. They were working on 3 other vehicles with the same problem. This had not happened before and this is a vehicle driven daily. The term the came up with was a " Catastrophic fuel system Failure"

Engine started to tick and loss of power, had it hauled to ford dealership in Tulia tx to later find out that it had faulty rocker arms which is a known problem after calling around asking other dealerships if they have seen other pickups come in with the same issue! After digging further into the motor they found that the fuel system was going bad and also would have to be replaced which is also a well known issue after ford recalled 300,000 of these pickups with the same issue

Loss of power windows,loss of A/C and heat,loss of turn signals,loss of radio,and loss of head lights. As well as engine not shutting off after key is pulled out. The first initial problems arose a year ago, not long after purchasing a 2022 Ford f250 superduty. Only when it rained or during very cold days the power to the front dash would be out including power windows and locks,radio, and A/C and heat. Ford dealership was unable to diagnose the problem. A year down the road,directly following a hard rain, the engine would not shut off when turning the key and removing it. I had to pull the fuel pump relay fuse from under hood to get the truck to shut off. After removing the lid, which was way too easy to take off, I noticed that all th box fuses were submerged in water. Yes there are safety concerns,what if my child ir myself was to get trapped inside the truck if the power windows and locks are malfunctioning? And on a hot day when the heat and air conditioning are also not working? How long would the truck have to continue to run before it shut off? There are electrical fire risks directly correlated with water in the fuse box. There were no warning lamps. Ford posted a service bulletin on regards to this matter. The power distribution module and the fuse box lid are at fault. The truck has since been repaired and are making us pay for it because it is 5,000 miles out of warranty. WE ARE extremely dissatisfied Ford customers!

It is difficult to maneuver to the side of road. It has been towed several times and repaired by more than one Ford dealership. We requested a buy back when the truck was under a year old and Akins Ford Winder Ga. refused to buy it back. It currently has 37,000 miles and has been sitting at the Akins dealership for two weeks. This truck could potentially cause an accident because it decelerates quickly and because of its size it is difficult to steer out of Atlanta, GA traffic. I have warned Ford Relationship director that someone will be injured in this vehicle. I was informed that I should contact NTSB and the Attorney General State of Georgia.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed the contact that a tool was required to take the engine apart to diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure an advised the contact to tow the vehicle to another dealer who had the tool required to perform the diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 10,460.
