Roof trim on passenger side broke and blew off while driving. Vehicles behind could be overreacting and cause accident. I contacted Ford and they were not concerened or take a report.
Rear view camera does not always display, either black screen with distorted view lines or complete blue screen. Vehicle is not on current camera recall list
Power fold mirrors do not fold in or out as designed. Mirrors do not completely fold out causing safety issue when a need to change lanes. Issue appears to occur when ambient outdoor temperature is above 85 degrees and/or when the sun heats mirrors. I have reported the issue to the Ford dealer several times when the problem was intermittent and was told they could not diagnose the issue due to it being intermittent. The service writers I have spoken with also stated they have never heard of the issue. This problem started at approximately 6,000 miles (intermittent) and has escalated to very close to 100% of the time now. Vehicle mileage is currently 46,000 miles. There are several complaints on various forums on the internet regarding this issue. Vehicle is available for inspection.
I brought my 2022 F-250 in to Tasca Ford in Seekonk, MA in July 2024 because the camera system was malfunctioning. It would sometimes freeze, or certain cameras would work and others wouldn't, or sometimes choosing a different camera would do nothing and the current camera would stay on the screen and never leave. Sometimes the camera would be a little distorted. Obviously unreliable cameras are annoying, but this can also be dangerous. And sometimes the cameras all worked fine! Tasca replaced a wiring harness and it was covered under warranty. In April 2025, I took the truck back in to Tasca as the camera problems were happening again. Same symptoms as before. They said the fix is to replace the APIM(?) image processing module, and that it would cost $3000 and that I was 6 months out of warranty. They submitted a request to Ford to cover this as a pre-existing condition and it was denied. I contacted Ford today because of the recall "25S49" which covers similar trucks, but not 2022 F-250's. I explained to Ford that my truck is having the exact same symptoms described in the recall. I asked them to extend the recall to my truck. They said they can't do that, and that I should contact NHTSA.
The component of issue is the rear drivers side FOX shock added by Tuscany Motor Co, majority owned by Fox Factory. This component collides with the rear brake fluid line causing excessive wear. Eventual failure of this line could potentially cause brake failure leading to a major road hazard. This component is available for inspection upon request. According to my local dealership, other Shelby Super Bajas have the same design flaw with the shock absorber. This component/issue has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others besides my dealership. There were no warning lamps or other forms of warning besides visual excessive wear of the brake line.
