Synce 4 infotainment center with loose connection to phone causing phone to connect and disconnect and become statickey while driving. Ford dealerships when contacted do not have a fix and two dealers have said its a very common issue but no fix for it. safety risk is that while you think your hands free on the phone when it goes in and out of connection can cause a major distraction while driving. I have had two dealers provide feedback that this is an issue but not one that has a fix that they can do. It has not been inspected by police or insurance agent there is no warning lamps that have gone off

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic signal with his foot on the brake pedal, the vehicle suddenly accelerated as if he had applied the accelerator. The contact stated that his vehicle front end crashed into the rear end of the vehicle. The contact stated that he turned the vehicle off to stop it from continuing to gain forward momentum. The contact stated that he was able to restart the vehicle and pulled over. The contact stated that his lower front bumper was dented and had scratches. The contact stated that the vehicle he had crashed into had damage to the tail gate and rear bumper. The contact stated that no one was injured and both vehicles were able to drive away. The police were not called. The contact stated that prior to the crash the vehicle was having multiple electrical failures and numerous warning lights had illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be rebuilt. The vehicle repaired, however the contact stated that he was still having warning lights and that the vehicle was shifting roughly from park (P) to drive (D) or from park (P) to reverse (R). Additionally, the contact stated that the accelerator pedal was failing to respond when he applied the pedal. The contact had taken the vehicle back to the same dealer who replaced the battery junction box. The contact stated that the dealer had replaced the battery junction box according to a manufacturer technical service bulletin number 23-2133 (Electrical System). The contact stated that prior to the crash, again the accelerator pedal failed to respond when he applied the pedal. The contact stated that he had used a hand held scanner and was getting codes for electrical system failures, ignition cylinder codes, ABS faults, Body Control Module throttle control codes. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and advised the dealer not conti

Loss of power to trailer brakes. Lights work, brakes get no power. Tested at plug on truck, no brake power, fuses checked, all still good. No messages for disconnected trailer.

My truck is only 3 years old. However about 3 months ago I noticed my rear view camera quit working. I only get a black or blue screen. Every other camera still works. I know there are over 1 million ford vehicles with this exact same issue that are under a recall. I would like to know why mine is not. I do not think it is fair I have to pay to repair an issue that’s covered by over 1 million other Ford vehicles.

1 month ago my vehicle intermittently would not shut off. You could hit the Start/Stop button and from all dash board appearances the truck was off, but the truck was still running. I resorted to pulling a circuit breaker to get the truck off. I found NHTSA 10226938 and replaced the Battery Junction Box as prescribed. This fixed the vehicle for a few weeks, but now the issue is back. There is no water intrusion in the BSB junction box.

my back rear view camera quit working immediately about 4 or 4 weeks ago. I tried to see if I had a loose wire but. One seemed loose or broken. I only have a blue screen. My rear facing camera over the cab stop light works fine if the switch is pushed. Now I have noticed there are thousands of Ford vehicles already recalled for rear camera issues. However when I called my dealership I was told I’m not on the recall list. As far as I can tell it’s because my Ford F350 is a 2022 built in July of 2021. I hate to say it but I believe the recall needs to be expanded. As I’m sure there are a whole lot more vehicles with this rear camera issues. Please take this case into consideration and hopefully get it included in the recall.

Minor issue started during heavy rain last week, went out in morning and power steps would not function. After starting, the rear sliding window opened and would not shut. Researched solution and reset the steps in the computer. Let truck sit for 5 hours at work (not raining) and apparently circuit dried out and window was able to close. Fast forward to Thursday night (4/1), flood rains had started. On the way home from work, the rear sliding window started opening again by itself, but was able to close it with the switch. It did this several times. Went out to start the truck Friday evening and all i got was flickering lights that dimmed when the start button was pushed. No controls worked. By Saturrday morning, there was no lights or any control. all electronics are non-functional. I checked and the batteries are fully charged, so it is not a battery/alternator problem - I expect water has infiltrated into the electronics/computer. Luckily, this short out did not happen on the whole system while I was driving.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated while starting the vehicle with the brake pedal depressed, the RPM rose to the RED line. The contact turned off the vehicle and then restarted the vehicle made sure that the accelerator pedal was not depressed. After restarting the vehicle with the brake pedal depressed, the RPMs increased immediately, and the vehicle lunged forward. The contact placed the vehicle into drive which had caused the RPMs to immediately decrease. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure due to not being able to duplicate the failure. The dealer did not have the diesel mechanic-certified staff needed to repair the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The vehicle was towed to another dealer who had the diesel mechanic-certified staff needed for the repair. The second dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired due to an aftermarket air intake. The manufacturer had not been made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,420.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Transfer case shift motor failure, transmission slipping in 3,2,1 gear and when accelerating from 7-8 gear. Electronics on dash have gone out while driving multiple times. Tailgate opened up while driving multiple times. Trailer brake. Drivers side faulty window (glass) fracture across entire window when not moving. Yes, all can be inspected or paper work reviewed for repairs complete. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Could not use 4 wheel drive in icy/snowy conditions to get to destination. Transmission slipping caused my foot to come off brake pedal and immediately had to reengage brake pedal due to the force of the transmission slipping (like the transmission was falling out from under the truck), nearly hitting the car in front of me on both occasions. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. All issues have been confirmed by local Ford dealer and fixed by certified Ford mechanic, but once issue is repaired, the electronics issues and transmission issue continue to arise (exact same issues). Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes, by the dealership (Ford representatives). Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, no warning signs for any of the defects other than a letter for the tailgate recall, brake recall and wiper recall.

Trailer brakes continuously go out on multiple trailers with an associated right turn lamp fault. There was a related recall but did not cover all of the vehicles this is happening to. Manufacturer Recall Number: 22S17 NHTSA Recall Number: 22v193

Trailer brake control module shorts out intermittently causing trailer brakes to not work. This causes the vehicle and trailer to not be able to stop on time in a short distance. Dealer has confirmed that this is the issue. Error message is “trailer wiring fault” and “trailer disconnected” while driving with trailer attached.

The vehicle has a Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of 30,000 LBS. While towing, the vehicle would show on the dash at intermittent times "Trailer not connected." When this occurs, the trailer brakes are no longer operating placing all braking on the tow vehicle with the potential for brake fade or complete brake failure and catastrophic loss. This intermittent failure of the electrical brake system does not occur on other tow vehicles that were equipped with after-market brake controllers, such as Tekonsha. The vehicle was brought into the Ford Dealership to look into the issue. Ford had the truck for nearly two weeks and could not figure out the problem. After much self-research, it was determined that the factory installed brake controller cannot discriminate between trailers using electric brakes and trailers using electric/hydraulic brakes. The fix is to install an actuator (ETrailer Code DX35FR - Adapter Module for BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator - OE Ford, GM Brake Controllers) on the trailer to provide resistance that will allow the factory installed controller to recognize the trailer/hydraulic brakes. A technician also advised that a work around would be to wire in small magnets to the wiring of the trailer to provide the resistance. The forums state that this occurs with trailers five years or older for which there are thousands on the road. This limitation/defect applies to the majority of trailers being towed on the highways today. Failure to advise drivers of this limitation/defect and the intermittent sequencing of the disconnection leaves non-professional, recreational drivers at significant risk of brake failure while towing up to nearly 30,000 pounds. NHTSA should investigate why standard after-market brake controllers have no issues of this kind while the "supposedly" state-of-the-art new vehicle controllers are limited. It is my understanding that this same issue is found with GM and possibly RAM products.

Brake controller error. Towing a small 6500lb trailer the ford is only intermittently sending signal to the camper brakes. Error "trailer brake fault". Makes stopping at times take a longer distance. Is a potential safety concern and definitely causes wear on the ford itself. Unfortunately my Ford wasn't covered by a previous recall for this known issue even though it was made in August of 2021.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH with the trailer hitched to the vehicle, the vehicle downshifted suddenly to 37 MPH. There was no warning light illuminated. The passenger's side of the trailer went sideways and blocked the roadway; however, the trailed remained hitched to the vehicle. The contact then disengaged the towing mode and was able to drive the trailer into a ditch in order to clear the roadway. The contact then drove to his residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the integrated trailer brake control module software was updated under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V193000 (Electrical System). Additionally, the contact stated that there was no oil in the rear axle differential. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 5,800.

When connected to 5th Wheel trailer, trailer brakes strength is very weak. Even when increasing the trailer braking gain up to 10 still not completely stopping trailer.

I see there is a software recall update on trailer brake controller but not sure if that is the issue. The manual squeeze brakes did not work first time 5th wheel hooked up. The 7 pin trailer clip goes into a 5 pin harness and a 2 pin harness. The 2 pin is the brake control for the trailer. I traced the wiring to the next connector.. When the wiring was unplugged and replugged in the connection and braking system worked. It is located on driver side next to spare tire. The error was happening on both the truck bed 7 pin connector and hitch connector. So issue had to be in line. The manual squeeze trigger had power because unconnected error shows on dash when squeezed and not prior to that. This puts the issue between trigger and connector split the two 7 pin trailer tow connectors. Also since the trailer is grounded to truck via the hitch it means the positive wire in that connector is the issue.
