WHILE DRIVING AND WITH NO WARNING CONSUMER TRIED TO PUT VEHICLE IN REVERSE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE EVEN WHEN FOOT WAS ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE VEHICLES CLUTCH PACK AND TRANSMISSION BURNED OUT. THE VEHICLE IS ON IT'S THIRD TRANSMISSION. THE CONSUMER FEELS THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD PROVIDE SOME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. *AK *TS *NLM

I TOLD YOU BACK IN 1996 ABOUT THIS, BUT YOU KEPT PUTTING ME OFF. AND I TOLD YOU ABOUT THE WINDSHIELD AND TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSMISSION ON AMBULANCE THAT HELPED ME WAS A FORD 350 AND THE TRANSMISSION HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, ME AND THE DRIVER TALKED.( DOT NUMBER: NONE TIRE SIZE: 16 )
THE PUSH ROD BROKE ON THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. FORD CHANGED THE DESIGN OF THIS COMPONENT, CAUSING THE MASTER CLUTCH CYLINDER ALONG WITH ALL TUBING ETC TO BE REPLACED. THIS SEEMS TO INDICATE THAT FORD REALIZES THE OLD DESIGN WAS FAULTY. *AK
THE TRANSMISSION STICKS IN OVERDRIVE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO EITHER STALL OR NOT STOP WHEN THE BRAKE IS DEPRESSED. NM
ORIGINAL BRAKES, DRUMS AND PADS ON REAR DRIVERS SIDE REPLACED AT 24,000 MI. FAILED AGAIN SAME PROBLEM AT 26,000. ORIGINAL TRANSMITION AND TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACED AT 21,000
WHEN THE VEHICLE GETS WARMED UP THE CLUTCH DOES DISENGASE PROPERLY. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
DEFECTIVE TORQUE CONVERTER CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TO LEAK WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED A FIRE IF THERE WAS A SOURCE OF IGNITION. ALREADY BEEN REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
NO SUMMARY
CLUTCH LINKAGE FAILED TWICE WHILE DRIVING, LEAVING CONSUMER SITTING. DEALER WAS CONTACTED. AFTER THE FIRST FAILURE THE LINKAGE WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE SECOND FAILURE THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER AND ALL THE LINKAGES WERE REPLACED. NO PROBLEMS SINCE. *AK *ML
VEHICLE HAS EXPERIENCED FIVE FAILED TRANSMISSIONS SINCE OWNERSHIP.
DUST COVER FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSION RUBS A HOLE IN THE ENGINE OIL PAN, CAUSING OIL TO LEAK.
CLUTCH FAILURE.
VEHICLE WILL NOT DOWNSHIFT WHILE DRIVING. TT
