I HAVE A 2000 FORD F-450 WITH 19.5" GENERAL TIRES. I HAD A FLAT TIRE WHEREBY THE VALVE STEM BLEW OUT. I HAD TO REPLACE THE VALVE STEMS IN ALL TIRES BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO THE TIRE SHOP WHERE THEY WERE REPLACED,THEY WERE THE WRONG VALVE STEMS. THE STEMS WERE NOT FOR HIGH PRESSURE TIRES BUT RATHER REGULAR AUTOMOBILE TIRES. FORD HAD A RECALL BUT ONLY CHECKED TO SEE IF THEY WERE LEAKING. THEY SHOUILD HAVE REPLACED THEM WITH THE PROPER VALVES.*AK

THIS IS MY THIRD FIRESTONE TIRE ON THE SAME VEHICLE. *ON 2-11-04 @EST.1500 HRS IN BAKER CA. MILEAGE 9,950 MILES. *LEFT FRONT TIRE TREAD STARTED TO COME OFF OF FIRESTONE TIRE CASING. IT IS REALLY SAD THAT FIRESTONE ISN'T HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR PUTTING OUT SUCH BAD TIRES. FIRESTONE PER NORMA Y. GRAY MY TIRE FAILURES ARE ALL MY FAULT. NO ONE BUT FIRESTONE CAN KEEP THE RIGHT PRESSURE OR NOT DAMAGE THE TIRE CAUSING IT TO COME APART. I' M BEGINNING TO THINK THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME. *JB

THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE TIRE VALVE STEM, BUT WAS NOT FIXED SINCE THE DEALER SAID IT WAS OK. WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING, THE OUT SIDE LEFT REAR TIRE WAS LOSING AIR DUE TO THE DEFECTIVE VALVE STEM WHICH DAMAGED THE TIRE WALLS. *YH

VALVE STEMS ARE BRAKING OFF AT TIRE RIM, CAUSING TIRE TO GO FLAT. FORD HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK FORD HAS ISSUED A RECALL #01V046 BUT ONLY INSPECTED VEHICLE FOR LEAKS. THE VALVE STEMS NEED REPLACING. OTHER VALVE STEMS ARE MADE FROM STEEL. THESE ARE MADE OF RUBBER WHICH CAN BREAK OFF WITH A LOAD. *JG

ON TWO OCCASIONS A TIRE ON THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN BLOWOUT, THE FIRST TIRE BLEWOUT WHILE DRIVING, THIS TIRE HAD 25000 MILE AT THE TIME OF FAILURE, AT THIS TIME THE CONSUMER DISCOVERED THERE WAS A RECALL (01V-046)ON THE VALVE STEM AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER BUT PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT THE VALVE STEM HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO A LEAK, THE VEHICLE WAW TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE RECALL BUT NOTHING WAS DONE, THE SECOND TIRE BLEWOUT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING A STOP LIGHT, THIS TIRE HAD 28000 MILES AT THE TIME OF FAILURE, THE CONSUMER IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPLACED TIRES (CONTINENTAL-GENERAL TIRE 225-70R19.5 LMT-400). WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH TWO REAR TIRES HAD A BLOWOUT AT SIDEWALLS. ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT, 8700 MILES MOUNTED ON A 2000, FORD, 450 TRUCK. *AK CONSUMER STATED THAT HE REPLACED FOUR TIRES BUT GENERAL TIRES WILL NOT REPLACE ANY TIRES, THEY CLAIM THAT FORD MOUNTED THEM INCORRECTLY.

TIRES WERE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON A 2000, FORD, F450, TIRE SIZE P22570R19.5, TIRES HAD THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND MILES ON THEM, CONSUMER NOTED THREE OUT OF SIX TIRES FAILED. ONE TIRE WENT COMPLETELY FLAT AFTER DRIVING INTO A HOLE. SECOND TIRE TREAD BLEWOUT COMPLETELY OUT AT SIDEWALL, AND THIRD TIRE TREAD SEPARATED FROM ENTIRE TREAD FROM INNER PART OF TREAD, OUTER PART OF THE TREAD. *AK 2ND TIRE BLEWOUT WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, BOTH OF THE TIRES FAILED WITH ONLY THE WEIGHT OF THE TRUCK, IT WAS NOT OVERLOADED, CONTINENTAL GENERAL, DOT CU9R1HPK1300, SIZE 19.5. *SLC

WHILE TRAVELING AND DEPRESSING CLUTCH, PEDAL WOULD NOT DEPRESS. CONSUMER STOPPED VEHICLE BY DEPRESSING BRAKE PEDAL. *AK CLUTCH PLATE BREAKS IN SAME SPOT EVERY TIME IT BREAKS, THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES, CONSUMER HAS BEEN TOLD THE MOTOR IS TOO STRONG FOR TRANSMISSION WHICH IS CAUSING CLUTCH TO TEAR UP. AIR CONDITIONER FAILED, TRANSMISSION MISSING ONE BELT AND WAS ALMOST OUT. EXHAUST LOOSE. WIRE HARNESS DANGLING UNDER VEHICLE, ELECTRICAL REPAIRS COMPLETE, HOWEVER CONSUMER DID NOT SPECIFY WHAT KIND OF REPAIRS. 3 TIRES FAILED, 2 EXPERIENCED TREAD SEPARATION, ONE TIRE GENERAL REPLACED, NO SIZE OR DOT NUMBER. RECALL 01V046 REGARDING VALVE STEMS, CONSUMER PAID FOR REPLACEMENT OF VALVE STEMS, DUE TO THEY HAD ROTTED. *SLC
