THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,772.

THE DEALER STATED THAT IF HE SHOULD NOTICE PAINT FLAKES, WHICH WOULD BE THE LAMINATION OF THE INSIDE OF THE FUEL TANK, HE WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK, PUMP AND CLEAN OUT THE FUEL LINES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.

MY 2005 F-450 BEGAN LOSING POWER. I TOOK IT IN TO A DEALERSHIP TO GET IT FIXED,(STILL UNDER WARRANTY). THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE FUEL TANK IS COMING APART INSIDE. THE TANK IS LINED INSIDE WITH A SHEET OF ALUMINUM. THE ALUMINUM IS COMING APART INSIDE THE TANK AND CLOGGING THE FUEL SYSTEM. SO THE DEALERSHIP SAID I NEED A NEW FUEL TANK, FUEL PUMP, INJECTOR PUMP, AND NEW FUEL INJECTORS. THIS TANK IS DEFECTIVE. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM IN THESE TRUCKS SINCE 1999-2008. FORD KNEW THIS WAS HAPPENING. FORD HAS HAD THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. NOW THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE ME $4200.00 TO FIX, EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. DEALERSHIP SAYS FORD WILL NOT COVER THERE DEFECTIVE PART. I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO DRIVES THIS TRUCK, ALWAYS USE PUMP FUEL NO BIODIESEL EVER.
