DT NHTSA RECALL 92V026000 WAS ISSUED. HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. MY BRAKES FAILED. THE DEALER HAS NOT LOOKED AT THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THEY WOULD CHARGE THE CONSUMER FOR THE REPAIRS. CONTACTED FORD, THEY GAVE THE RUN AROUND. THERE WAS NO WARNING BEFORE THE BRAKES WENT OUT. THE BRAKE FLUID WAS OVER HEATING. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR. HAD TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE, AND THE BRAKES ON THE BOAT THAT I WAS TOWING. THIS HAPPENED ON FRIDAY AUGUST 12, 2005. *AK

EQUIPPED WITH TOWING PACKAGE AXLE SEAL FAILED, AND LEAKED OIL ONTO BRAKE LINE ,CAUSING FAILURE OF BRAKES. 2. LIGHT SWITCH SHORTED OUT, BURNING ALL WIRES, AND CAUSING FIRE HAZARD.*AK
VEHICLE REPAIRED TWICE UNDER RECALL #92V026000. THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL WOULD LOCK UP WHEN BRAKES APPLIED / PULL INTO ANOTHER LANE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER WHO REFUSED REPAIRS DUE VEHICLE BEING OUT OF WARRANTY. *YC
LEFT FRONT WHEELS WOULD GRAB & LOCK UP WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED. HAPPENED ONLY AFTER THE BRAKES HAD BEEN REPAIRED UNDER A RECALL. TOOK TO DEALER TO CORRECT & MECHANIC REFUSED TO DO THE WORK. RECALL 92V026000. *AK
92V026000/ 92S44, BRAKES; THE DEALER KEPT THE VEHICLE SEVERAL DAYS, AND ALSO KEPT THE RECALL NOTICE DID NOT COMPLETE OR REMEDY THE PROBLEM OF THE RECALL. WHEN THE TRUCK IS RETURNED, HARD TO OBTAIN APPOINTMENTS FOR SERVICE. *AK *SLC
BRAKES FADE, DUE TO CALIPER PISTON. THE PISTONS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR A NUMBER OF VEHICLES, TO BE REPLACED BY PHENOLIC PISTONS, HOWEVER THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE DOES NOT FIT WITHIN THE CRITERIA OF QUALIFIED RECALL VEHICLES.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE THE BRAKES SOMETIMES GO OUT, PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND FEELS THE BRAKES LOOSE. *AK ALTHOUGH THE MANUFACTURER ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM, THERE WERE NO RECALL NOTICE ISSUED. THE CONSUMER REPLACES THE BRAKES CALIPER AND ROTORS EVERY 2000-7000 MILES. *YH
THE REAR AXLE SEALS ALLOW THE LUBRICANT TO LEAK ONTO THE BRAKES AND THE REAR BRAKES DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE SEALS WERE REPLACED (4) TIMES WITHIN 70,000 MILES IN A (5) YEAR PERIOD. *AK
POWER BRAKES ARE LOST INTERMITTENTLY, CAUSE IS UNKNOWN. *AK
BOTH REAR AXLE SEALS REPLACED DUE TO IMPROPER BRAKING WHILE DRIVING DOWN MOUNTAINOUS ROAD WITHIN 20 MPH. NOT SURE IF TRUCK IS EQUIPPED W/REAR ABS BRAKES. *AK
AFTER HAVING RECALL WORK DONE, THE VEHICLE REAR BRAKES HAVE FAILED COMPLETELY AND ONLY THE FRONT BRAKES WORK WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. RECALL#92V026000. *AK
POOR ABS BRAKE PERFORMANCE, THE PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR, AND COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE IS EXPERIENCED. *AK
DURING OPERATION WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON, THERE WAS A SUDDEN ACCELERATION FROM 70 MPH TO 90 MPH. HAD TO TURN IGNITION OFF IN ORDER TO STOP VEHICLE. PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED 3X.*AK CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. DEALER REPLACED MAP SENSOR DUE TO ROUGH SHIFT IN TRANSMISSION, PASSING GEAR STICKS, TRANSMISSION VIBRATES GOING INTO GEAR, HOUSING SEAL AND SPEED SENSOR REPLACED. POPPING NOISE IN RIGHT FRONT CAUSED BY TIRE WEAR(NO SPECIFIC TIRE INFORMATION). BRAKE HOSE WAS CUT. FUEL PUMP RUNS CONSTANTLY, DEALER REPLACED FUEL PUMP RELAY. SHOCKS FAILED. *SLC
