The back passenger back door had problems wouldn’t close rt now can’t open. In May it felt like it wasn’t getting power, engine light said turn off car for 10 minutes, while stuck in traffic, so i had it towed to Upland Ford Dealers, they charged me $209.99 Just to look at it! Then after inspecting it they wanted almost $4,000. Which i can’t afford. They said it was the Clutch Assembly part. The car also has some electrical problems like the car stopped showing the millage last was a round 101. The phone not connecting & the charger plug not working either

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a transmission diagnostic test that was requested by the manufacturer; however, the contact felt that the dealer had not performed the diagnostic test because the dealer only identified general maintenance issues unrelated to the transmission. The contact was informed by the dealer that the lower dog bone mount was detaching from the engine torque restrictor. The contact also stated that the vehicle was making a rubbing noise and the RPM sensor continued to fluctuate while driving or slowing down during acceleration. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle rolled back while on an incline. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,465.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle failed to properly accelerate. The contact stated that the vehicle was shaking abnormally. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a faulty clutch plate. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

My vehicle was serviced by elk grove ford service dept. only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove ford [XXX] that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around march 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control module is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half a day I don't believe them as see that the pcm can maybe reset they have not said to me if they tried resetting the pcm and I would like the part number. I feel I am being set up for more charges as if they would have check the wrench lamp I would not have two charges, they keep repairing items that I believe did not need to be replacement as the plugs were working find. 2014 Ford Fiesta ST engine failure due to known issue with engine block design. I had an extended warranty on the vehicle that was purchased with the vehicle from Key Chevrolet in Middletown. After experiencing a piston flutter, I took the vehicle to them under the warranty for repair, however, they could not locate the problem and recommended that I visit a Ford dealer. (9/2/22) Prior to the failure I attempted to have a recall repair performed with multiple ford dealerships throughout the state (Tasca, Monaco, Gengras, Dowling) and was told that they cannot currently get the parts to perform the repair. (Sep 2022) I contacted a recall rep after the failure and I was told it would be 4-6 weeks before a dealer could even look at it and that I could have a private mechanic (I chose to take it to Firestone in Middletown) repair and apply for reimbursement through the recall. I chose that route, however, after $1500 in work, Firestone said that the head was warped too badly & the piston walls were pitted and the engine couldn't be repaired, it needed to be replaced. After contacting both a rep at the Ford Recall center & the service department at Monaco Ford - I was told that towing the vehicle in a mid-repair state to the dealership was acceptable. Firestone did ask if they needed to put the engine back together, and I specifically called and asked, now this is the reason they are denying the claim. Ford has issued recalls for this issue, but refuses to correct the issue with my vehicle because it arrived in a mid-repair state - please see attached emails with executive customer service.

None of the recalls were ever done to my vehicle. Mailing problems didn’t receive notification in mail. Door handle fell off and window handles coming off. Tag light glitching and in car press light doing the same. Crack plastic parts of car cracked years ago. Strange engine leak. Door panels coming off and panel around gear broke a year after I got the car. I sent complaint two years ago. I have not heard from anyone.

WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE STARTED TO SURGE, MISFIRE AND THEN FOR NO APPARENTLY REASON THE ENGINE SHUT-OFF AND WOULD NOT RESTART. AFTER ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES IT FIRED BACK UP AND RAN MOMENTARILY AND THEN DIED AGAIN .HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY CLAIM THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE SAME PROBLEM. DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR ANYMORE, UNLESS THEY CAN RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. A SAFETY HAZARD AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO FURTHER BY THE FORD MOTOR CO.

MY VEHICLE, AFTER LESS THAN 75K MILES BEGAN TO HAVE OVERHEATING PROBLEMS. I HAD VARIOUS PARTS REPLACED UNTIL FINALLY IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HEAD GASKET HAD BLOWN ON IT. AFTER RESEARCHING FORUMS AND SITES WHERE OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE OR VEHICLES WITH THE SAME TYPE OF ENGINE, WERE EXPERIENCING ISSUES MUCH LIKE MINE. THE ENGINE HEAD IT MADE OF ALUMINIUM AND THE ENGINE BLOCK IS MADE OF CAT IRON. THIS FACT COUPLED WITH HIGH CYLINDER PRESSURES AND A NATURALLY HIGH ENGINE OPERATING TEMPERATURE RESULTS IN VARIOUS PARTS FAILING TO TO EXCESSIVE PRESSURE AND HEATING. ALTHOUGH FORD HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS ISSUE BY UPDATING THEIR REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS, THEY HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THE SAFETY OR MONETARY IMPACT OF THOSE WHO HAVE HAD TO REPAIR A KNOWN PROBLEM IN THEIR ENGINES.

THE TRANSMISSION ON THIS FORD FIESTA WAS DEFECTIVE FROM THE DAY IT WAS BUILT. FORD HAS BEEN SUED AND MUST TAKE CARE OF THE BILLIONS OF CUSTOMERS WHO BOUGHT THESE VEHICLES. THE ENGINE IS NOT EQUIPT TO HANDLE THIS TRANSMISSION AND EVENTUALLY BLOWS THE ENGINE, BEFORE ALL THAT HAPPENS THE TRANSMISSION STALLS, AND LEAVES YOU ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY ENGINE SUFFERED CATASTROPHIC FAILURE DUE TO COOLING SYSTEM FAILURE, EXACTLY AS LINED OUT ON THEIR WEB SITE IN THE ISSUE TAB. THE MATERIAL USE TO MAKE THE THIN DEGAS LINE BECOMES BRITTLE WHEN SUBJECTED TO HIGH HEAT, AS COOLING SYSTEMS ARE WONT TO BE, LEADING TO COOLANT BEING BOILED OUT. THEY SAY TALK TO DEALER, DEALER SAYS THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING, TALK TO FORD INC. THEY DID NOT REDESIGN THE PART, THEY DID NOT NOTIFY THAT IT WAS AN ALMOST CERTAIN POINT OF FAILURE. THIS ISSUE WOULD HAVE BEEN SO EASY TO SIDE STEP. BUT HIDING BEHIND "NOT ORIGINAL OWNER" FOR A ENGINEERING DEFECT THAT THEY ADMIT TO ON THE UK WEBSITE SMACKS OF "YOUR ARE TOO SMALL." ONLY SOLD A SMALL NUMBER OF THESE ENGINES IN THE US BUT MANY MANY MORE IN THE UK. SUSPECT THAT CHANGES THE CALCULUS OF HOW THEY HANDLE RESPONSIBILITY. THIS WASN'T SOME RANDOM FAILURE, THEY KNEW IT WAS AN ISSUE, THAT THERE WAS A MORE THAN OFF CHANCE THAT IT WOULD RESULT IN ENGINE DAMAGE, AND WHAT OWNER NUMBER A CAR HAS SHOULDN'T MATTER. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE COOLANT SYSTEM ON THE ENGINE FAILED SEVERAL TIMES. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER AND STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE EXITING THE HIGHWAY, THE ENGINE COMPLETELY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. WHEN THE FAILURE INITIALLY OCCURRED, THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BOB DAVIDSON FORD LINCOLN (1845 E JOPPA RD, BALTIMORE, MD 21234, 410-661-6400) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAD GASKET WAS DEFECTIVE AND A NEW ENGINE WAS NEEDED. THE CONTACT PURCHASED A USED ENGINE AND PERFORMED THE REPAIR ON HIS OWN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

MY CAR WAS IDLING VERY ROUGH AT START, AND WAS MISFIRING SEVERELY. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS WERE COMING ON. THE PROBLEM WOULD SUBSIDE AFTER DRIVING FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES, BUT IF THE CAR SAT AND WAS ALLOWED TO COOL FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME, THE PROBLEM WOULD RETURN. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO A SERVICE CENTER AT WHICH POINT THE CAR THE CAR WOULD NOT START ANYMORE. I WENT TO START THE CAR IN THE PARKING LOT AND IT WOULD TURN OVER BUT NEVER FIRE AND START. AFTER INVESTIGATION THE SHOP FOUND THE CYLINDER HEAD HAD CRACKED AND MY SPARK PLUGS & CYLINDERS WERE ALL FULL OF COOLANT DUE TO A LEAK. AFTER MINIMAL RESEARCH I FOUND THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE OF FORD ECOBOOST ENGINES, AND THERE WAS A NATIONWIDE RECALL IN THE UK DUE TO THIS ISSUE CAUSING CARS TO COMBUST INTO FLAMES WHILE DRIVING. HOWEVER, WHEN I CONTACTED FORD THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO RECALL IN EFFECT FOR THE SAME CARS IN THE UNITED STATES. MY CAR IS LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD AND HAS A CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE THAT WILL REQUIRE A COMPLETE REBUILD, AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IF I DID NOT IMMEDIATELY TAKE IT FOR SERVICE. THE SHOP IS BUILDING A QUOTE FOR ME THAT I WILL UPLOAD ONCE AVAILABLE.

ENGINE AND WRENCH LIGHT WILL RANDOMLY COME ON AND OFF BEFORE THE VEHICLE BEGINS STALLING. IT WILL QUITE LITERALLY SIEZE UP ON OCCASION AND NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE WILL ALSO RANDOMLY DIE IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING USING GEARS 2-3.

CAR RIGHT NOW IS NOT BEING DRIVEN BECAUSE ITS BEEN A SAFETY HAZARD FOR SOME TIME NOW. THIS IS MY ONLY WAY OF TRANSPORTATION. I NOW HAVE BEEN RENTING CARS WHILE I STILL PAY OFF THIS CAR TILL THIS DAY. THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN LYING TO ME. I HOOKED UP THE COMPUTER AND GOT A LOW CLUTCH DUAL CONTROL SYSTEM ERROR. I GOT THE PART CHANGED OUT AND CAR CONTINUES TO HAVE CHECK ENGINE LITE. I USE THIS VEHICLE TO PICK UP MY DAUGHTER EVERY MONTH. FOR YEARS DRIVING THIS VEHICLE NEVER REALIZED HOW FORD HAS PUT ME AND MY DAUGHTER IN DANGER BY HAVING THESE FAULTY VEHICLES WITH MESSED UP TRANSMISSION THAT DIDN'T BELONG IN THESE TYPES OF VEHICLE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GET FIXED ONCE AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A RECALL AND WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN AFTER THE FIX AND IT CONTINUED AFTER SOME TIME TO GO BACK TO ITS USUAL SHAKE BEFORE TAKE OFF. LIKE I SAID THE LAST TIME I WENT FOR OIL CHANGE AND FULL INSPECTION OF VEHICLE AT SCARSDALE FORD DEALERSHIP THE MECHANIC SAID HE TOOK IT OUT FOR A DRIVE AND SAW NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. AFTER I DROVE IT OUT THE DEALERSHIP CAR CONTINUED TO SHAKE AND KNEW THAT HE WAS LYING. THEY JUST DONT WANT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP I OWE OVER $4000 LEFT ON PAYMENTS AND THIS CAR ISNT WORTH NOT EVEN A PENNY FOR THE DANGER IT PUT ME THROUGH EVERYTIME I TOOK THE CAR OUT FOR A DRIVE. SATURDAT JULY 30, 2019MY VEHICLE OVERHEATED.VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR COOLING MAINTENANCE. RADIATOR THERMOSTAT AND COOLING RESERVOIR WAS CHECKED. I WAS ADVISED TO MONITOR THE COOLANT LEVEL. ON AIGUST 10, 2019 WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE DISPLAYED "OVERHEATING". I PULLED OVER AND OPENED THE HOOD. WHEN I OPEN THE HOOD THE COOLANT WAS BOILING. I WAITED 20 MINS FOR THE BOILING TO SUBSIDE. I SLOWLY REMOVED THE CAP AND THE COOLANT LEVEL STARTED TO RISE WHICH WAS THE SAME ISSUE AS BEFORE.

I LEASED THE CAR THROUGH MY BANK ON MAY 5TH 2016 WITH JUST OVER 35,000 MILES. TWO MONTHS INTO THAT THE CAR DIDN'T START AND ALL ELECTRONIC LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING. IT DISPLAYED TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. I TOWED THE CAR TO A BIG FORD REPAIR SHOP. THEY SAID IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION UPDATE AND A NEW CLUTCH. THEY TOOK CARE OF IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVEN (7) TIMES SINCE I GOT THE CAR MAY 2016. PRETTY MUCH EVERY FOUR MONTHS. IT IS COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT AND COSTLY. I HAVE ALSO BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE EVAP FUEL COMPONENTS. I HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON NOW AND IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. THE LAST TIME I GOT A TRANSMISSION UPDATE FROM FORD WAS IN MARCH 2019. MY CAR NOW BARELY HAS 66,200 MILES SO IT'S VERY DISAPPOINTING THE AMOUNT OF WORK AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH. I STILL OWE $4,800 ON THE CAR. I LEASED IT FOR $12,000. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING COOLANT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DONLEY FORD-LINCOLN OF ASHLAND (1641 CLAREMONT AVE, ASHLAND, OH 44805, (419) 281-3673) AND THEY REPAIRED THE HOSE THAT WAS LEAKING THE COOLANT. FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ILLUMINATED AGAIN AND THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER FROM THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND A CRACK IN THE ENGINE THAT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ONLY REMEDY WAS TO INSTALL A NEW ENGINE AND THE REPAIR COST WAS QUOTED AT $5,000. THE VEHICLE'S EXTENDED WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 100,000 MILES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.

TAKATA RECALL MY A/C STARTED TO FAIL WITH NO WARNING. AFTER PUTTING MY CAR IN PARK, SMOKE STARTED TO RISE FROM THE ROOF AND A DARK COLOR LIQUID (PERHAPS OIL) STARTED TO LEAK FROM UNDERNEATH THE CAR. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE FORD DEALERSHIP, AND THEY CONCLUDED THE COOLANT WAS LOW AND IT MIGHT HAVE CAUGHT CONTACT WITH THE ENGINE, CAUSING IT TO SMOKE. THIS INITIAL CONCLUSION FROM THE FORD DEALERSHIP THAN LED TO THEM CLAIMING; THE TUBES HAD A HOLE, THE FAN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND THE BELT WAS HEAT DAMAGED. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN CASH FROM THE FORD DEALERSHIP AS USED, BUT A "FORD CERTIFIED" CAR; MEANING IT WENT THROUGH A RIGOROUS 172 POINT INSPECTION WHERE THEY EXAMINE THE CARS COOLANT, ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, BREAKS, ETC. HOWEVER, THIS IS FAR FROM THE TRUTH BECAUSE MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING MY FORD CERTIFIED VEHICLE THE TRANSMISSION BLEW OUT AND FORD HAD TO REPLACE/FIX IT FOR FREE. I'VE ONLY OWNED THE CAR FOR A YEAR AND A HALF, AND I'VE ALREADY HAVE HAD TWO MAJOR CAR PROBLEMS! I REQUESTED FOR A BUYBACK AND FORD SAYS THEY AREN'T ABLE TO DO SO. I AM FRUSTRATED THAT I PAID FOR THIS FORD CERTIFIED VEHICLE IN CASH, JUST TO BE DUPED. I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE FROM THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY ARE CLAIMING THAT TOO BAD, I'M OUT OF LUCK AND WILL HAVE TO PAY $724 OUT OF POCKET TO GET IT FIXED. THIS CAR HAS HAD TOO MANY RECALLS AND IT WAS BARELY DRIVEN TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM. FORD NEEDS TO PAY UP AND MAKE BETTER CARS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.

I BOUGHT THIS FORD FIESTA WITH THE 1.0L ECOBOOST NEW. ALL MAINTENANCE FOR THIS CAR IS UPTODATE NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE UNTIL OCT 10, 2017. I NOTICED THE COOLANT LEVEL WAS WELL BELOW THE MIN. LINE OF THE COOLANT RESERVOIR ALMOST BELOW THE TURBO COOLANT LINE IN THE TANK. I IMMEDIATELY FOUND SOME APPROVED COOLANT AND ADDED IT UNTIL THE MAX. LINE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS AND THE CAR DIDN'T OVERHEAT THE DAY BEFORE. I CHECKED THE COOLANT LEVEL 3 DAYS LATER AND FOUND THAT IT WAS HALFWAY BETWEEN THE TWO LINES ON THE TANK. I FILLED IT UP TO THE MAX. LINE. I CHECKED IT AGAIN ON SAT. MORNING OF OCT. 21ST. IT HAD DROPPED TO THE MIN. LINE. I THOUGHT THIS WAS A DEFINITE PROBLEM. I CHECKED OVER THE HOSES AND LOOKED OVER THE ENGINE BLOCK, THE INTERCOOLER, AND WHAT I COULD OF THE RADIATOR, BUT I DIDN'T SEE SIGNS OF COOLANT LEAKING. IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS I PUT 3/4 OF A JUG OF COOLANT INTO MY CAR AND IT ONLY HAD ABOUT 36000 MILES ON IT. I BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER ON SUN OCT. 22. AND THE TECHS DID A DIAGNOSTIC AND PRESSURE TEST ON MON. HE CALLED ME TO SAY THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I TOLD HIM OF THE AMOUNT OF COOLANT SO HE THOUGHT TO RECHECK. THE DEALER DID A TOTAL OF 3 PRESSURE CHECKS ON THE CAR WITH NO LEAKS. I ASKED IF HE COULD CHECK THE EXHAUST FOR COOLANT OUT THE TAIL PIPE. HE SAID THAT IF IT WAS DOING THAT THE CAR WOULD BE RUNNING ROUGH BUT IT RAN FINE. I'M PICKING THE CAR BACK UP SINCE HE SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING MORE. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, WHERE DID ALL THE COOLANT GO? IS MY CAR GOING TO OVERHEAT AND DO SOMETHING LIKE THE OTHER ECOBOOST ENGINE PROBLEMS, INCLUDING ENGINE FIRES?

KINGS FORD (CINCINNATI OH) REPLACED THE TIRE (I HAD TO PAY FOR THE TIRE), REPLACED THE BACKUP SENSOR (WARRANTY) AND 'RESET/UPDATED' THE TRANSMISSION CONTROLS FIRMWARE. AFTER THIS, I RETUNED THE VEHICLE MULTIPLY TIMES FOR UNSAFE TRANSMISSION FUNCTIONALITY. AFTER ABOUT TWO MORE TIMES OF KINGS FORD 'RESETTING/UPDATING' THE TRANSMISSION CONTROLS FIRMWARE THEY FINALLY REPLACED THE CLUTCHES. THIS WAS AT 20,000 MILES. ALSO, I HAVE ANOTHER FAULTY TIRE AND THE AIR HANDING ACTUATORS IN THE DASH ARE MAKING GRINDING SOUNDS. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLY NEAR ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE VEHICLES UNSAFE TRANSMISSION FUNCTIONALITY. PURCHASED CAR IN JUNE 2014 AND IN SEPTEMBER 2014 I BEGAN SEEING THE TRANSMISSION MODULE RECALL EVERY TIME I DID A VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT TOOK IT IN EVERY TIME THE REPORT CAME BACK, EVERY TIME THE FORD PLACE I BOUGHT IT SAID THEY COULD DO NONTHING TO HELP IN EARLY MARCH THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY QUIT AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED ONLY TO HAVE THE FORD PLACE TELL ME THAT I HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. THE CAR WAS BARELY 1 1/2 YEARS OLD AND SO I DID AND THEY SAID THAT I COULD KEEP BRINGING THE CAR BACK BUT FORD WOULD NOT LET THE FIX THE MODULE DUE TO WHATEVER. THEY DID EXTEND THE TRANSMISSION WARRANTY FROM 36K TO 60 K WHICH LEADS ME TO THIS POINT I HAVE HAD THE CAR BACK AT THE DEALER AT LEAST 3 MORE TIMES EACH TIME I HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAR AND IT NEVER GETS FIXED THE MILAGE IS AT 59 K NOW AND I TOOK IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALER IN ANOTHER TOWN TODAY AND THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED AND I CAME BACK TO WORK AND DID ANOTHER VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT AND IT IS STILL SHOWING AS A FACTORY RECALL I WILL UPLOAD THE REPORT TO YOU. THIS 2014 FORD FIESTA VEHICLE HAS SOME MAJOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES: SLIPPING, CLUNKING, CHUGGING, JERKING, SHUTTERING, AND RATTLING WHEN DOING SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE WHEN A TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNS GREEN. THIS ISSUE ALSO OCCURS WHEN I BEGIN TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I'VE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT FIVE MONTHS AND THE ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED THROUGHOUT THAT TIME PERIOD. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO A FORD REPAIR SHOP. THE MECHANIC COMPLETED A REPROGRAMMING OF SOME TYPE. HE INFORMED ME THAT THE REPROGRAMMING TYPICALLY RESOLVES THE ISSUES THAT THIS VEHICLE IS HAVING; BUT THE ISSUES STILL REMAIN, IN FACT, IT'S GOTTEN WORSE. THE HESITATION OF THIS VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE LEAVES ME FEELING UNSAFE. MOTORISTS IN PASSING VEHICLES ARE ZOOMING BY ME AS I AM ATTEMPTING TO GET THIS CAR TO GO. IN ADDITION, WHEN I FIRMLY PRESS THE GAS PETAL, THE CAR HESITATES THEN BEGINS TO ACCELERATE AT A RAPID SPEED. THESE ISSUES OCCUR WHILE I AM DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATES, HIGHWAYS, STREETS, DIRT ROADS, ETC. IT ALSO DOES NOT MATTER IF I AM MAKING A TURN, SHIFTING IN DRIVE OR IN REVERSE...THE ISSUES REMAIN THE SAME. FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THESE ISSUES. BECAUSE THE CAR WAS UNABLE TO SPEED UP IN TIME I WAS FORCED OFF THE ROAD BY THE ON COMING TRAFFIC ONTO THE THE SHOULDER/GRASS AREA, WITH THE OTHER CAR NEEDING TO DRIVE AROUND ME. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR. THE CLUTCH WAS CHANGED IN OCTOBER 2014 AS PER DEALER, BUT IN APRIL 2015 SAME ISSUES BEGAN DEVELOPING. THIS HAS BEEN THE 3RD NEAR ACCIDENT WITH THIS CAR NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATING ON TO THE HIGHWAY DUE TO THE SHIFTING ISSUE AND CAUSING A NEAR ACCIDENT. OUTSIDE THESE INCIDENTS, THE CAR IS GENERALLY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AT LOW SPEEDS AS ITS ACCELERATION AND SHIFTING ABILITY CONTINUOUSLY CHANGES AFTER A COMPLETE STOP AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. IT'S QUITE CHALLENGING TO EXPLAIN THE DIFFICULTY OF DRIVING THIS CAR BECAUSE I'VE NEVER HAD A CAR WITH SUCH A POOR CONSISTENCY DURING ACCELERATION. SOME MOMENTS IT WILL MODERATELY JERK FORWARD WITH A SLIGHT TOUCH OF THE PEDAL (ALARMING ESPECIALLY DURING STOP AND GO TRAFFIC), ANOTHER MOMENT YOU NEED TO PRESS THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO ACCELERATE SLOWLY ON A FLAT/EVEN SURFACE AND OTHER TIMES IT MODERATELY-SEVERELY SHAKES AND SHUDDERS AS THE CAR TRIES TO CLIMB A MINIMAL HILL/ELEVATION (ALL THESE EVENTS HAPPEN DURING THE SAME 10-15 MINUTE DRIVE). THE CAR DRIVES "TYPICALLY/NORMALLY" APPROXIMATELY 30-35% OF THE TIME, MOSTLY AFTER ACCELERATING TO OVER 20-25 MILES PER HOUR. AT 15000 MILES I TOOK THE CAR IN AND THEY SAID THE DUAL CLUTCH SEAL WAS LEAKING AND THEREFORE RUINED THE CLUTCH. THEY REPLACED ALL PARTS AND CALLED TO SAY IT WAS COMPLETE. THEY LEFT VOICEMAIL, AND WHEN I CALLED DEALERSHIP BACK THEY SAID THE NEW PARTS HAD BROKE WHILE ON THE TEST DRIVE AND THEY HAD TO ORDER EXACT PARTS AGAIN. DEALERSHIP TOOK ANOTHER FEW DAYS TO FIX AND THEN I RECEIVED THE CAR. NOW FEB 2015 CAR IS DOING EXACT SAME THING AND HAS 24000 MILES ON. SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN SEPTEMBER 2013 I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE ACCELERATING, STALLING, AND JERKING FORWARD. ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 2015 AT 8:00 PM I WAS DRIVING AND THE ENGINE LIGHT RANDOMLY TURNS ON AND THE VEHICLE CLICKS ON AND OFF, THE VEHICLE STALLS AND I ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL INSTANCES WHERE I ALMOST GOT INTO CAR ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION ON THIS VEHICLE. CURRENTLY GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH THE DEALER EVERY TIME WHO STATES A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF VARIATION SUCH AS SHUDDERING AND JERKING IS NORMAL WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS HOWEVER THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE. I HAVE BEEN TAKING OFF AFTER STOPPING AND THE TRANSMISSION OR FUEL INJECTION MISSES CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO NOT ENGAGE THE DRIVE TRAIN JUST RIGHT. THE VEHICLE HESITATES, LURCHES, AND SHUTTERS. THE VIBRATION IS BAD AND I'M WORRIED IF I TAKE OFF FROM A STOP LIGHT OR SIGN, THE VEHICLE DOES NOT ENGAGE THE DRIVE TRAIN, I MIGHT BE HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE I CANNOT GET THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE PATH OF TRAFFIC DUE TO THE HESITATION. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS WITHOUT WARNING. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CONSISTENTLY SHOOK WITHOUT WARNING WHILE ACCELERATING. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.

A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER BUYING MY NEW CAR, I NOTICED THE TRANSMISSION WOULD START TO SHUDDER AND/OR BUCK WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER A STOP. CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE BROUGHT IT IN 3 TIMES WITH NO ONE AT THE DEALERSHIP BEING ABLE TO "RECREATE" THE PROBLEM AND THEREFORE THEY COULDN'T FIX IT. THEY ALSO SAID THAT BECAUSE OF THE TYPE OF TRANSMISSION, THE PROBLEMS I WAS DESCRIBING ARE TO BE EXPECTED. HOW COULD A COMPANY RELEASE A TRANSMISSION THAT IS "SUPPOSED" TO BUCK AND SHUDDER? PROBLEM HAS CONTINUED TO GET WORSE AND I HAVE NOW EXPERIENCED SEVERAL INCIDENTS THAT I FEEL ARE VERY DANGEROUS. ONE OCCURS WHEN I APPROACH A STOP AND I AM APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE CAR WILL REV UP AND ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN, ALMOST CAUSING ME TO GO INTO TRAFFIC. ANOTHER INCIDENT IS WHEN I AM AT A YIELD AND DON'T COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THEN ACCELERATE TO MERGE WITH TRAFFIC, THE TRANSMISSION SKIPS/STUTTERS/SHUDDERS DELAYING MY ACCELERATION AND MAKING THE MERGE DANGEROUS. THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT, AND DOES NOT OCCUR AT EVERY STOP/YIELD. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHAT OR WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. *TR
