The back passenger back door had problems wouldn’t close rt now can’t open. In May it felt like it wasn’t getting power, engine light said turn off car for 10 minutes, while stuck in traffic, so i had it towed to Upland Ford Dealers, they charged me $209.99 Just to look at it! Then after inspecting it they wanted almost $4,000. Which i can’t afford. They said it was the Clutch Assembly part. The car also has some electrical problems like the car stopped showing the millage last was a round 101. The phone not connecting & the charger plug not working either

The transmission shift level locks in Park. The vehicle is available for inspection. Safety was a concern as I was stopped in a school unloading zone/fire lane and was unable to place the shifter in drive. This caused the lane to be blocked. I googled the problem, and was able to remove a cover and access a manual release. I do not know if the problem was previously inspected, however, it is a common search item on Google/internet. There was no prior warning. The problem persists and I will have it checked.

Transmission malfunctions while accelerating. Pulling into a busy road, the vehicle randomly stops accelerating which cause other vehicles to swerve to avoid a crash. The RMP will increase and loose acceleration and then there is no function of the acceleration. As soon as the warning light came on, contacted a dealer and the wait times are over 2 months. The dealer does not want to keep the vehicle and prefers you keep driving until they call you to bring it in.

I am remembering one incident I had years ago. It was my first year since I got my first driver license. I parked my car. While I was getting off with half of my body already outside the car, my car started moving forward. I jumped back in a car in a shock and tried to stop the car. I realized that I had not removed my car key. I also realized that a stick shift was in neutral position. I told myself that it was my wrong-doing, but after reading numerous complaints and lawsuits against Ford Fiesta over the last years, I am not so sure if it was my fault or the car's defect. It happened only once and can not reproduce this. Around the same time, I have also experienced car not starting several times but again I told myself I am just an idiot for not knowing how to start a car. I did Pre-Purchase Car Inspection in October 2016. The inspection report noted that my car had Engine Lights on with code U0131 and codeC0051. I received a CSP14M02 letter last Sunday and went to the dealership on Monday for TCM repair or replacement, but I was turned away.

My vehicle was serviced by elk grove ford service dept. only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove ford [XXX] that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around march 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control module is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half a day I don't believe them as see that the pcm can maybe reset they have not said to me if they tried resetting the pcm and I would like the part number. I feel I am being set up for more charges as if they would have check the wrench lamp I would not have two charges, they keep repairing items that I believe did not need to be replacement as the plugs were working find. As I'm driving the car will stop if I get it to go again it won't pick up speed, it will rev up but not go, I was told that it has all the original parts that was until I had someone look at it for the problem stated since then it has new spark plugs new front brakes, break's in back have been rotated new tires, I'm still paying a car note on this car I've had to pay towing fees and still the problem persist I'm scared to put my boys in this car but it's our only form of transportation the dealer that sold me this car is horrible and Ford was of no help, still trying to find the main issue.

FOR MY CONDITION, IT WAS PERTINENT TO BE CARED FOR IN CAROLINA. AFTER THAT DAY THEY CLOSED TRADES AND LEFT (SO AS NOT TO SERVE ANYONE). MY RADIO STARTED ACTING STRANGELY ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. WHEN THE RADIO WAS ON THERE WAS IRREGULAR SQUEALING COMING FROM IT. WHEN IT FIRST STARTED, THE SQUEALING WAS ONLY WHEN THE RADIO WAS ON AND I WAS DRIVING THE CAR. LATER, THE SQUEALING ALSO STARTED TO INCLUDE LOUD POPPING NOISES, VERY MUCH LIKE AN OLD STEREO SPEAKER LOSING ITS WIRE CONNECTION. THE LOUD POPPING WAS VERY INCONSISTENT . IT THEN STARTED HAPPENING EVERY TIME I WAS IN THE CAR. IT DIDN'T MATTER IF THE RADIO WAS ON OR NOT. I EVEN TRIED TURNING DOWN THE VOLUME, WHILE THE RADIO WAS OFF. THE POPPING NOISE WAS EXTREMELY LOUD AND DISTRACTING WHILE TRYING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE . MANY TIME BECAUSE THE POP WAS SO LOUD I WOULD JERK THE STEERING WHEEL IN ONE DIRECTION OR ANOTHER. PASSENGERS THAT RODE IN MY CAR DURING SOME OF THE INCIDENCES HAD COMMENTED ON IT HURTING THEIR EARS AND MAKING THEM JUMP OR JERK IN THEIR SEAT. THEN, ONE DAY THE POPPING WAS HAPPENING ALMOST CONTINUOUSLY AND THEN JUST STOPPED. NOW LEAVING ME WITHOUT A RADIO AND PHONE CONNECTION. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM AND HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS AN EXTREMELY COMMON DEFECT IN THE FORD FIESTA. THE ERRATIC LOUD POPPING IS A VERY DANGEROUS DISTRACTION WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING AND I FEEL IT IS VERY MUCH A SAFETY HAZARD.

THE ISSUE IN QUESTION INVOLVES THE DOOR LATCH MECHANISM. THERE WAS PREVIOUSLY A RECALL ISSUED FOR FORD FIESTA VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 2012 AND 2014. MY VEHICLE IS A 2014 MODEL AND THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. THIS RECALL WAS PUT INTO EFFECT EITHER IN 2014 OR 2015 WHEN THE ISSUE BECAME PROMINENT AND PRONOUNCED. THIS IS THE FIRST INCIDENT AND/OR ISSUE THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR JUST DECIDED NOT TO LATCH TWO DAYS AGO WHEN I ARRIVED AT WORK AFTER RETRIEVING ITEMS FROM THE BACK SEAT. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING TO SEE IF IT COULD BE RECTIFIED AS WELL AS FIND OUT IF ANY ACTIVE RECALLS WERE PRESENTLY UNREPAIRED. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE ARE NO ACTIVE RECALLS FOR THE DOOR LATCH SYSTEM, HOWEVER IT IS FEASIBLE AND RECOMMENDED THAT ANOTHER RECALL BE ISSUED IN LIGHT OF MY RECENT DOOR LATCH ISSUE.

ALSO, LESS THAN A WEEK LATER, THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR'S LATCH BROKE IN THE EXACT SAME WAY AS THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR'S LATCH. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND CAN LEAD TO ACCIDENTS AND PERSONAL HARM. I WANT TO GET ALL MY LATCH'S FIXED, REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE ONE I HAD TO PAY FOR, AND AN APOLOGY FROM FORD. I CHECKED MY VIN NUMBER AND THE RESULT SHOWED "0 UNREPAIRED RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS VIN". HOWEVER, THIS SPECIFIC RESPONSE DOES NOT MEAN THERE WAS NEVER A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CAR. IT MEANS THAT THE RECALLS THAT WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CAR HAVE BEEN FIXED. HOWEVER, WHAT IF THE DOOR LATCH THEY USED TO "FIX" THE RECALL FOR IT WAS FAULTY AS WELL? HOW WOULD I BE ABLE TO CHECK WHETHER THE RECALL THAT WAS COMPLETED WAS FOR THE DOOR LATCH'S? HOW DO I GET FORD TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE ISSUE WITH MY CAR (TWO FAULTY DOOR LATCHES WITHIN A WEEK OF EACH OTHER) NEEDS TO HAVE A RECALL ON IT AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED FREE OF CHARGE? FORD COMPANY KNOWINGLY PUT FAULTY A TRANSMISSION IN THEIR VEHICLES. TO REMEDY THE SITUATION THEY THEN GAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE TRANSMISSION, BUT WHEN TAKE YOUR CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR THINGS THAT PART OF THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS VERY MISLEADING TO CONSUMERS AND A HAZARD FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN SAFETY ON THE ROAD. THE GEARS SHIFT WHILE IN MOTION, WHICH HAS ALMOST SEVERAL TIMES CAUSED OTHER VEHICLES TO HIT ME. WHEN AT A STOP PULLING OFF IT WILL BARELY ACCELERATE OR GIVE A JERKING ACCELERATION, WHICH IS AWFUL WHEN PEDESTRIANS ARE NEAR. ALL OF WHICH HAPPENS SPORADICALLY ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN CITY TRAFFIC. THIS HAS BEEN A CONTINUOUS PROBLEM 2 YEARS AND THUS FAR I'VE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THREE DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIP AND NONE ARE WILLING TO UPHOLD THE FORD WARRANTY AND/OR ADDRESS THE ISSUE THAT FORD KNOWS IS A HAZARD. LAST YEAR, I RECEIVED NOTICE OF LAWSUIT FILED IN CALIFORNIA AS TO THE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION AND WAS TOLD THAT I COULD SETTLE WITH A DISPUTE RESOLUTION SPECIALIST WHICH DENIED ME THE REPURCHASE/REPLACEMENT BECAUSE I HAVE A 5 YEAR WARRANTY. THE TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE AND CANNOT BE FIXED, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE WARRANTY IS 5 YEARS OR MORE. THE TRADE-IN VALUE OF THIS CAR IS SO LOW, I CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE. I GOT VEHICLE AT A WELL KNOWN CAR DEALERSHIP - USED. IT WAS GIVEN '120 POINT INSPECTION' SO THE CAR WAS IN 'GOOD TO GO' CONDITION. I WALKED OUT WITH LUCKILY SOME MAX PROTECTION INSURANCE FROM THEM, WHERE THEY WOULD COVER ANY NON- WARE & TEAR REPAIRS. GREAT DECISION AT FIRST, MAYBE NOT EVEN A YEAR IN AT ROUGHLY 80K MILES THE CAR AC DOES NOT GET COOL, WHEN AT A STOP OR SLOW SPEED THE CAR WOULD START TO OVERHEAT & IN STALL - THIS IS A MANUAL VEHICLE SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO DROP GEAR IN ORDER TO GAIN SPEED BACK AND COOL THE ENGINE. THE COOLING FAN WASN'T TURNING OVER ST ANY POINT, I REPLACED THE FUSE MAYBE 3-4 TIMES AND IT KEPT BLOWING OUT. FINALLY I TOOK IT IN TO GET CHECKED OUT, APPARENTLY THE FAN RELAY FUSE WAS BLOWN OUT CAUSING THE SMALLER FUSE TO BLOW, ALL THIS RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE AC COMPRESSOR HAVING TO BE REPLACED, 2,700 IN REPAIRS WITH A DEDUCTIBLE OF 200 BUCKS. CAN'T BEAT THAT RIGHT? WRONG, HERE I AM ROUGHLY 9-10 MONTHS LATER WITH THE SAME ISSUES HAPPENING AGAIN, CAR OVERHEATING WHEN THE AC IS ON, OR AT A HAULT WITH THE FAN NOT KICKING OVER. FORD: YOU ARE A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY, YOU NEED TO MAKE A CAR / SYSTEM THAT CAN WITHTAND ARIZONA'S 110+ DEGREE WEATHER DURING THE SUMMER. THIS SEEMS TO CLEARLY BE A ELECTRICAL ISSUE, AS THIS ISN'T THE FIRST, SECOND OR EVEN THIRD ISSUE I'VE HAD WITH THE VEHICLE. INCLUDING MAKER RECALLS.

I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF MY 2014 FORD FIESTA S HATCHBACK. THE VEHICLE HAS A 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND 33350 MILES +/- ON IT. I HAVE TWO ISSUES WITH THE CAR: 1) THE SECOND AND REVERSE GEARS (ONLY) HAVE "POPPED" OUT NUMEROUS TIMES UNDER TORQUE. THIS OCCURS ONLY WHEN DECELERATING, ACCELERATING, AND OCCASIONALLY WHILE REVERSING SLOWLY OUT OF THE GARAGE ETC. THE LATEST EVENT WAS DECEMBER 29, 2016 TRAVELLING DOWN A SHORT ROAD. THE SECOND GEAR POPPED OUT AND THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO ACCELERATE TOWARD THE EMBANKMENT. EACH EVENT SURPRISES AND FRIGHTENS ME UNTIL I REALIZE WHAT HAS OCCURRED AND RESPOND ACCORDINGLY. 2) THE SECOND ISSUE IS SOMETHING IS PRODUCING A CLUNKING IN THE LR PILLAR (BETWEEN THE LR PASSENGER DOOR AND THE HATCHBACK). OR SO I IMAGINE. IT SOUNDS LIKE A HATCH STRUT IS HANGING LOOSE FROM THE TOP CONNECTION AND SWINGING AROUND INSIDE THE HOLLOW OF THE PILLAR. HOWEVER, BOTH HATCH STRUTS ARE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR AND APPEAR TO BE ATTACHED AS DESIGNED. THE NOISE IS ONGOING AND COINCIDES WITH VEHICLE MOTION, ESPECIALLY ON CURVES AND ROUGH GROUND.

HE INFORMED ME THAT THE REPROGRAMMING TYPICALLY RESOLVES THE ISSUES THAT THIS VEHICLE IS HAVING; BUT THE ISSUES STILL REMAIN, IN FACT, IT'S GOTTEN WORSE. THE HESITATION OF THIS VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE LEAVES ME FEELING UNSAFE. MOTORISTS IN PASSING VEHICLES ARE ZOOMING BY ME AS I AM ATTEMPTING TO GET THIS CAR TO GO. IN ADDITION, WHEN I FIRMLY PRESS THE GAS PETAL, THE CAR HESITATES THEN BEGINS TO ACCELERATE AT A RAPID SPEED. THESE ISSUES OCCUR WHILE I AM DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATES, HIGHWAYS, STREETS, DIRT ROADS, ETC. IT ALSO DOES NOT MATTER IF I AM MAKING A TURN, SHIFTING IN DRIVE OR IN REVERSE...THE ISSUES REMAIN THE SAME. FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THESE ISSUES. I HAD AN INCIDENT WHEN CHANGING LANES AT SLOW SPEEDS WHEN THE TRANSMISSION OF MY VEHICLE JERKED AND WHILE THE OTHER DRIVER WAS ALSO PARTIALLY AT FAULT, THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION ALSO CONTRIBUTED TO A MINOR FENDER BENDER.

THE 2014 FORD FIESTA, 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, HAS A SINGLE POWER DOOR LOCK BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DASHBOARD. IN ORDER TO UNLOCK ALL DOORS, INCLUDING THE TRUNK LATCH, ONE MUST LEAN ALL THE WAY IN TO PRESS THE POWER UNLOCK BUTTON. THERE IS NO WAY TO UNLOCK THE TRUNK USING A KEY. WHEN DOING THIS, THE PERSON UNLOCKING THE VEHICLE IS LEFT VULNERABLE, AND IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK, AND IS OPPOSITE ALL THE SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS PROVIDED BY POLICE AND OTHER SAFETY ORGANIZATIONS: DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK ON YOUR CHILDREN (WHEN HAVING TO LEAN IN TO UNLOCK THE BACK DOORS WHERE THE CHILDREN WILL GO) AND DO NOT LEAN INTO YOUR CAR WHERE YOU COULD BE CARJACKED. IT IS DANGEROUS, AND EITHER THE COMPANY NEEDS TO PURCHASE BACK THE VEHICLES OR FIND A WAY TO FIX THE ISSUE SO THE POWER LOCK IS ON THE DOOR (THERE ARE NO BUTTONS ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOORS, EITHER). THE ENGINEERS WERE WAY OFF ON THIS ONE.

THE HINGE ON BACK DRIVER SIDE CRACKED FIRST ,,,GOT FIXED ,,NOW BACK PASSENGER SIDE CRACKED AND THEY WONT FIX .. WARRANTY EXPIRED. ALSO MY FRONT PASSENGER DOOR DON'T LATCH CLOSED MUST TIE SHUT.

ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE BEGAN AS SOON AS WE GOT IT. CAR CONSTANTLY STUTTERS LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO STALL (WAS TOLD BY SALESMAN THAT IT WAS BECAUSE CAR WAS BRAND NEW AND ONCE WE "BROKE IT IN' THAT WOULD GO AWAY). IT HAS NOT. DOES NOT ACCELERATE WHEN IT SHOULD AND DOESN'T DECELERATE WHEN IT SHOULD, NO MATTER HOW HARD OR SOFT YOU PRESS THE PEDALS. CAR SEEMS TO HAVE A MIND OF IT'S OWN. LIKES TO ACCELERATE WHEN HAVE BRAKE PRESSED, HAVE ALMOST REAR-ENDED CARS IN FRONT BECAUSE OF IT'S LURCHING FORWARD. WHEN USING SPORT MODE, CAR WOULD NOT HAVE ANY MORE POWER, BUT ENGINE WOULD REDLINE. STRONG BURNING SMELL ALSO. ONCE CAR FINALLY GOT MOVING, IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IT TO SLOW DOWN. YOU CAN PUSH BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR BUT CAR IS STILL GOING - AND FIGHTING YOU TO KEEP GOING. DEALER UPGRADED SOFTWARE - WHICH SEEMED TO HELP FOR THE FIRST FEW DAYS - AND TOLD US NOT TO USE THE SPORT MODE ANYMORE, WHICH WE DO NOT. DEALER STATED ALL COMPLAINTS WERE NOT ISSUES, THAT IS HOW THE CAR WORKS DUE TO THE TYPE OF ENGINE IT HAS IN IT. FIRST TIME FORD BUYER, FIRST BRAND NEW CAR IN A VERY, VERY LONG TIME. CAR IS DRIVEN TO AND FROM WORK 56 MILES EVERYDAY, PLUS LEISURE. FEEL VERY INSECURE DRIVING CAR. CAR IS NOT SAFE AND FORD NEEDS TO BE PRESSURED TO FIX THESE ISSUES OR STOP MAKING THESE TYPE OF ENGINES!
