Rear view camera under Ford recall 25SA9 has been malfunctioning for months 3 separate Ford dealers tell me they do not have parts even though it's been 2 months since the recall notice. Ford 1-800 number does not recognize the recall number.

I just purchased a 2019 ford flex in September from Bessette Motors in Carrington ND. When I purchased the vehicle the rear backup camera had an inverted image. The dealership told me they would bring my car back in the following week to fix the camera because the said someone must have flipped the camera over accidently. They have not fixed it, nor they did not tell me the camera issue was part of a recall. I have had the vehicle now for over a month and still have an upside-down back up camera. It has nearly caused multiple accidents because I cannot turn it off and it's very distracting being inverted. I see the recall for my vehicle has been out since December 2024. That is a long time for no fix!! It is dangerous to continue to drive my vehicle the way it is with no fix

Backup camera is not working at all; there is a blank blue screen that appears with a warning that states: camera is unavailable. There is an open recall #NHTSA #24V951 and #24S75. Walker Ford Dealership was called today 10/14/2025 and stated there are no cameras available at this time for the recall. The parking sensors are no longer working because the backup camera is not working. My safety and others are at risk because I do not have any sensors to warn me if I am in a blind spot backing up.

A recall notice was issued for my vehicle in December 2024 for rear camera issues. It is now October 2025 - ten months after the recall notice. According to the Ford website recall service is still not available. Only approximately 30,000 vehicles were impacted by the recall. I have been without a rear camera now for over 8 months due to this issue. It has led to several near accidents while I was backing out between other vehicles in parking lots. This is a safety issue. Why has this issue not been resolved yet? Please contact Ford and push this issue on them.

Safety Recall Notice 24S75 / NHTSA Recall 24V951 is not being addressed in a timely manner. The notice is from January 2025 and it is now late September with no progress.

This recall has been since the Dec 20, 2024 and there is no resolution for this. Called the local dealership multiple times and they had no additional information and no ETA on resolution. This is safety concern due to the visibility at the back of the vehicle when backing up. This is clearly not being resolved in timely manner. Also note: the lack of this resolution has limited my resale value of this vehicle which has/is affecting many others that own this vehicle. Note the camera started glitching about a year ago. Trim panel on driver side door containing keyless entry pad blew off while traveling down highway, banged against car, then completely separated from vehicle and landed somewhere behind me on PA Turnpike. I replaced it myself and it happened a second time exactly the same way. Now I just have black Gorilla tape over the opening.

Ford just issued a recall for 2015-2019 vehicles due to distorted picture on the camera when in reverse. I have the exact same issue on my 2019 flex. Although the flex has been discontinued by ford, the camera issue is identical. It just stopped showing a clear picture one day with no cause. I took it to my ford dealership immediately and they told me it had to be replaced but couldn’t be because flex had been discontinued.

A Safety recall for my 2019 Ford Flex rear-view camera has been open since the beginning of the year. A check with my local Ford dealer indicates a probable solution by March 2026. The explanation is "Parts are not available". I find this to be an unacceptable duration for "Parts are not available". This is a Ford problem that has existed for multiple years and multiple models as the camera image reversed on my 2012 Ford Explorer

The backup camera is dysfunctional. It shows an inverted, upside-down image, sometimes it is just black or unavailable, it is glitchy. It is available for inspection upon request. The errors have made it unsafe to backup or see oncoming (from the rear) traffic. It is a known issue with a known recall. It is still ongoing with no solution "parts are not available" - for an unreasonable amount of time. It's a 2019. It's had problems since it was designed, yet it's SIX YEARS LATER and FORD has NOT come up with a solution. I have had it inspected by the FORD service department at the local dealership, and they have no clue other than that it's under recall without a solution. Sometimes the system tells you the camera isn't working, other times it doesn't. Where is the enforcement?

B pillar keyless entry panel became mostly detached while car was operating at highway speeds. My safety and the safety of others was compromised due to my alarm at the noise of the panel striking my vehicle. Panel struck my vehicle several times before the top half broke off and was lost, which also may have compromised the safety of drivers following me, as I did not see where it flew off to. Bottom half of panel is still attached by wiring and I have it secured to vehicle with tape. No warnings or notifications preceded this event. I didn't report it yet because I have not had time to find a replacement part. I recently saw that this may be a widespread issue among 2019 Flexes and not something I somehow caused to happen.

There is a recall for the rear-view camera that has gone without a resolution for over 7 months. This vehicle is used for business purposes and my insurance will not cover its use due to the unresolved recall. Ford has not provided a remedy and they will not buy it back. Please help.

Back up camera cuts out/ goes blank at random. This is a safety issue as objects behind the car can not be seen. There currently a recall for this issue, however, only certain months of production. The recall needs to widen to include all 2019 Ford Flex vehicles. No warning prior to notify it is not working until rear camera is activated by placing the car in reverse. Screen is blank.

When the backup camera first malfunctioned everything was upside down. When I went online I was told to disconnect the battery cable, which seemed to fix it until the next time I put it in reverse. Now it works one out of ten times. It either shows objects upside down or the screen is filled with flashing blue and green or goes completely blank. It then shows "Camera Unavailable," i am very dependent on this camera so I'm anxious to get it repaired.

Hello, This is my second 2019 Ford Flex Limited my previous vehicle did not have an issue with the rear back up camera. My current one does but it vin# is not on the the list. I went to Ford dealer ship and was told that because of the VIN# its does not qualified for the recall but the backup camera does not work always continuously. It appears the issue meets the criteria of my previous Flex I have picture of the failure.

Backup camera has not worked for long time. Bartow Ford said part not available for recall but if I want to pay 823, they have the part. Without a backup camera it is like backing up a whale blindfolded.

Rear Camera intermeitently works or completely fails. Was backing out of a parking space and could not see and a car speed by the back up warning did beep and saved the day - if my camera had been working I would have seen the on coming car a little bit sooner. it's been months since the recall was issued when will a remedy be available? this should not take this long for Ford to remedy?

The vehicle has a panoramic roof with each of the three windows having a roller sunshade. Two of three roller sun shades have failed or are not working causing excessive glare and heat in the vehicle.

UNKNOWN. The hands free function of the audio system suddenly stopped working properly. When the blue tooth links up with my phone the volume is so low it can barely be heard and can’t be adjusted up. According to my Google search of the issue it appears to be a common problem for Ford.

Rear camera does not work consistently. Obviously, backing up is a safety issue. The rear-view camera image sometimes is distorted, inverted, or completely blank when the vehicle is in reverse. This has been occurring for several months. I have not had vehicle inspected at a dealer or service center at present. The message I receive on screen states "Camera is Unavailable"

In December of 2024 the backup camera on my 2019 Ford Flex started failing intermittently. Sometimes when I put the vehicle in reverse, I get a blue or black screen instead of the camera view. I have seen other complaints with this same issue.

Rear park aid camera failure. The camera does not always display when reverse is selected. The camera only shows an upside down image when it displays. The camera displays severe vertical lines when dark, virtually making the display useless. This is a safety issue because I cannot see persons or objects behind me if the camera is inoperable. If the camera is operable, with the display upside down, it is disorienting to use as a means of protecting persons or objects behind me as well as protecting my vehicle from damage. I have not taken it to the dealer for this issue, as it began after the warranty period expired. The problem has not been inspected by a dealer, independent service center, the manufacturer, police or insurance representatives. The vehicle has not been recalled for this issue. I find this surprising, given the large number of Ford vehicles which have been recalled for rear camera problems. I also find this to be a somewhat common problem with the Ford Flex across multiple model years, based on viewing of various chat boards found on the internet.

The Back up camera failed several times. When vehicle is put into reverse the screen would be black and after some time a message indicating failure to connect to camera would appear.

2019 Ford Flex Back-up camera either upside or unavailable when the car is put into reverse. Car is available for inspection upon request. The software has been successfully updated multiple times. The camera going out or being upside down when backing up is definitely a safety issue. No inspection has taken place. The car is 5 years old and the camera worked for about the first two years. There were no warning signs for the problem. Thought a recall would be issued.

I pulled out of my driveway and maybe 2 miles down the road heard a giant “pop” noise. I pulled over to see what happened and found a giant whole and cracking/glass from my sunroof! The weather is clear there was no debris hit my sunroof simply shattered.

The backup camera malfunctioned. The malfunction was reported to the Ford dealer. No replacement part is available from Ford. The car is still under warranty, but Ford is making no efforts to repair or replace this mandatory safety component of my car.

WHILE THE FLEX WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY, THE GLASS IN THE REAR HATCH BLEW OUT. IT OCCURRED AROUND 5:00P. THE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE 70'S ALL DAY. NO ONE DROVE, WENT INTO THE FLEX, OR OPENED THE HATCH THAT DAY. AT 4:30P THE GLASS WAS STILL INTACT. AT 5:00P THE HATCH GLASS WAS SEEN ON THE GROUND AND REAR BUMPER.

OCCASIONALLY WHEN I AM TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT THERE IS A CLUNKING NOISE UNDER THE FRONT END OF MY CAR. I TYPICALLY BACK INTO A PARKING SPACE AND WHEN I AM LINING UP MY CAR TO BACK IN IS MOSTLY WHEN THE NOISE OCCURS. IT IS A LOUD SOUND THAT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE A POPPING OR SNAPPING. IT DOES NOT MATTER THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE, NOR DOES IT MATTER WHETHER IT IS DRY OR WET. IT ISN'T HAPPENING EVERY TIME EITHER. IT IS FRIGHTENING, THOUGH, BECAUSE I HAD A TIE ROD SNAP ON A CAR ONE TIME AND IT ALWAYS MAKES ME THINK OF THAT. I DID TAKE IT TO A FORD GARAGE AND IT DIDN'T MAKE THE SOUND SO THEY DID NOTHING BECAUSE THEY REALLY COULDN'T TELL ME WHAT IT MAY BE. MY CAR IS GARAGE KEPT.
