I am in possession of Recall18S32/NHTSA recall18V-735 notice that has not been repaired but it is not showing up on my VIN and Model lookup.
Car is stalling at low speed and losing power. Does not do it at high speed. Occasional check engine light. Will start surging. This is a know issue with the Ford Focus and Ford has issued a Customer Satisfaction Program 24N07. They refuse to honor the program unless you keep paying them for diagnostic work until the code shows up for it. I have ran the codes myself on it and it is fuel related to the Canister Purge Valve. This issue is very dangerous in that the car does stall out on the road with no warning. I have had this issue with the car for several years and have received the CSP letter but cannot get the work done. The issue happened 3 times yesterday, 11-5-2025.
To Whom It May ConcernI am writing regarding the fuel system recall on my 2015 Ford Focus (VIN: [XXX] ), specifically related to Recall Number 18S32 / NHTSA Campaign Number 18V735000, which involves the canister purge valve, a required PCM software update, and inspection of the gas tank. This recall was started at a Ford dealership in Two Harbors Minnesota which I paid cash in December 2022. The problem consisted with many inconveniences in side of the road break downs. I had the recall serviced again in 2024 in Blythe CA at Ford where the purge valve was supposedly replaced, but the software update was never completed by that Ford because they claimed that the update was done in Parker AZ around 2022. The gas tank was not inspected for damage. My car is stalling in the middle of driving leaving me in grave danger since this happens on the freeway in Las Vegas, in the middle of nowhere in the desert and has done so in below zero degree in Minnesota all while I have my two small children in the car with me. This jeopardizes myself and children’s lives by stranding us in unknown places and weather elements that are harass or stalling on freeway not allowing me enough warning to get to the side of the road which could cause someone to hit my car from behind at a high rate. The full recall has not been performed. I bought this faulty car in Parker AZ which it should have never been sold with this problem jeapordizong my family’s life. The fuel tank has never been inspected either. Recent: The car keeps dying in traffic in Las Vegas traffic. I paid to have it towed to a dealership which is harassing me and not fixing the car with excuse after excuse such as the car isn’t under recall and the battery terminal needs to be cleaned. Their excuses are petty when it comes to my vehicle, continuously stalling in the middle of traffic in Las Vegas on a busy freeway due to your recall that has not been completed. Ford has been fully aware of its DPS6 transmission design flaws and failures for many years. A formal recall was appropriate and they have not done so all this time; therefore, a consumer is not warned of the problem through the tried and true channels of BMV lookups during new registrations, dealer records resulting in notices sent, or other lookup tools. This causes the problem to present itself unexpectedly and progressively, and it causes quite a bad hazard by affecting the ability of the vehicle to accelerate and decelerate as expected. These transmissions slip into neutral unexpectedly as well, and it shouldn't be accepted that that is considered not a hazardous situation. Especially on the interstate, it can cause a crash. Support and responsibility by Ford is very bad. An auto transmission that isn't a flawed design may cost $2,000 to fully replace. The dual-dry clutch in Ford's PowerShift design is prone to failure. Even despite that Ford says it extended coverage for PowerShift transmissions, this can result in a $3600 repair bill, promises to cover it defaulted on, and factory warranty dishonored. I've been told by Ford it will make the defect right, but the repair estimate was $6800, twice what the car is valued for and impossible to afford to fix.
Car will start surging and then will stall out. First noticed when car was purchased, but was told it was normal for the car to do. I will start the car and it'll run for a few seconds then die. Sometimes for only a couple times and then the car will run okay. There are times it'll surge then die up to 7 times in a row. Only a couple times it has surged and died while out driving. The car would die in the middle of the road. Car started up with issues almost 3 weeks ago and is progressively getting worse. Sometimes the engine light comes on then it will turn off. 2 different dealerships, Jess Ford, in Pullman Washington and Joe Hall Ford in Lewiston Idaho, both have done inspections and claimed to have fixed the transmission, but the issue has continued to be an issue. It has happened over 15 plus times of stalling and surging in the last week. TCM replaced, clutch replaced, fuel purge valve has been replaced. We were told it was a one-time fix, but it has been a nonstop issue since. The technicians informed us that it would fail again, and it did. Car is a 2015 Ford Focus, under 94k miles.
This vehicle stalls while driving due to a faulty purge solenoid inspected by Pep Boys mechanic. There was a recall on the ford focus in 2018 18V735000(recall number) I purchased this vehicle in 2023 with no known recalls. This issue occurred September 2024 I paid for the repair two weeks ago and now the same issue is existing. There were no warning lights displayed when the car stalled while driving. My safety and the safety of my child is at risk being that the vehicle stalls while driving which is could be the cause for accidents and or collisions
There was already a recall performed on the vehicle for the purge valve being stuck open and a gas tank deformation. fast forward a few years and now the same issue is happening to the "repaired" parts. What are my options to have this recall correctly repaired?
Clutch was replaced already 1 time now it’s bad again also the tmi was replaced 2 times since I’ve had the car it has 126000 miles
This car has had repeated issues rough idle after fueling for years. Replacing the oxygen sensor did not resolve the problem. The dealer resetting the car's computer did not resolve the problem. I recently had to replace the canister purge valve (CPV) after the car began stalling after fueling. This resolved the idle issue. I noticed Ford recalled CPVs on Ford Focuses built in Michigan (as mine was) between 2012-2018 (GDI) and before 2017 (GTDI); however, my car was excluded from this recall. Can you please investigate to determine if there are additional vehicles which also received defective parts for which the cost to replace them should be covered? Thank you.
What happened? I purchased a 2015 Ford Focus from Carvana in November 2022 with about 70,000 miles on it. Since then, the vehicle has experienced numerous and severe mechanical failures. The engine mount and transmission mount have both failed and required replacement. Additionally, the rotors, Transmission Control Module (TCM), and clutch have all needed to be replaced, with the clutch failing five times throughout the car's history. Despite extensive repairs costing upwards of $7,000, the issues persist. Most Recently,The vehicle was subsequently towed to a Ford dealership after replacing the clutch for the 6th time in vehicle history. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The components that failed include the engine mount, transmission mount, rotors, Transmission Control Module (TCM), clutch, and evap purge system. These components are available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The frequent mechanical failures and replacements, particularly of critical components like the TCM and clutch, have compromised the reliability and safety of the vehicle, posing a significant risk during operation. The vehicle's tendency to stall while driving or idling increases the risk of accidents, potentially leading to rear-end or T-bone collisions. Yes, the problems have been confirmed and addressed by both a dealer and independent service centers. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by independent service centers and possibly by the dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, there were no check engine lights or warning lights prior to the failures. The issues began appearing shortly after the purchase in November 2022.
It’s a 2015 ford focus 1.0 eco boost 6 speed manual. It studders and shakes and stalls at random while driving. It only has 78000 miles on it and I just bought this car from some punk kid. Shakes the car violently as well.
Stopped to get gas. Turned off engine. After filling up gas tank, car would not start, or crank/turn over. No check engine light has been on, no warning lights. Disconnected battery for about fifteen min. Car started up. Took it to shop, they changed out the evap Purge system. It failed when they tested it so they changed that out. Car did not stall when they test drove it. Car stalled two more times. Once when accelerating from a red light, and second time when just sitting in idle. Car just shuts itself off but the radio stays on. This is such a safety hazard because of the fact that not only does it stall in the middle of me driving But I’m very lucky I didn’t get rear ended or T boned because of this. So I thought this issue was fixed but obviously not. After the last time it stalled after getting it fixed, I then had it towed to a Ford dealership. I know this has been a recall on other Ford focuses. For some reason not mine which is a 2015 Focus. Last year I had to have the TCM fixed which was a recall so that was free however then they tell me that my clutch went bad at 60k miles? I shelled out almost $3k for that nonsense. Now This stalling it constantly Day after day at 75k miles? Thanks a lot FORD. Take your piece of [XXX] back and issue this a recall. The EVAP system has failed and has resulted in drivability issues. It is available for inspection if needed. The problem has been confirmed by an independent service provider with a full diagnostic exam. There is a P0420 and P1450 code on the car. There have been issues with the distance to empty on the car. Sometimes it says I have 290 miles to empty or 400 miles to empty when I fully fill up my car with gas. *There is a Ford Focus recall (Recall #[XXX]) which covers the exact issues I’m having with this car, but the car is not included in this recall. When the engine is hot, it stalls and stops after starting. and this happens several times a day. There was a situation when the engine stopped in the middle of the road near an elementary school, which hampered the flow of traffic. Also, when refueling, the cutoff on the filling hose is constantly activated. two faults occur regularly
I just bought this car 2 months ago after saving for a whole year. I’ve been having problems week into the purchase due to the transmission. My car has been overheating with the transmission (almost every 4 miles), going on limp mode (when pressing the gas), jerking (while driving), not reversing and not starting right away. Im trying my hardest to get on my feet after a being in a domestic abuse relationship that affected my and my daughters life. I just want to get my baby back and fourth from school. So I BEG you to approve the transmission recall for Ford Focus. PLEASE!!!
We are experiencing the fuel tank evaporate issue where car shuts off while driving. We were not recalled specifically but now have car in shop waiting on the recall to be reopened as the conditions match the issue under the recall. We have had 3 incidents that could have ended up in a collision as car abruptly shuts down. This is related to the evap fuel tank and sensor issues reported in the original recall. Our vehicle apparently had the programming updated during a past service visit but obviously has not corrected this issue. This vehicle has also had the transmission recall done shortly after purchase and transmission still acts up on occasion. Not happy with the current issue as it is a potential death trap when car shuts off for no reason.
I’ve been having issues with my automatic clutch transmission since I’ve bought this vehicle. There has been numerous repairs done but the company tells me they aren’t responsive on covering another. It causes the car to jerk when accelerating aggressively and has almost caused a wreck. It has been confirmed by the dealership. No warning signs with this. First started to appear a few months after buying the vehicle and then upon repair the issue would return I few months after the fact and the dealership would not help.

THIS IS EXACTLY THE SAME SCENARIO AS THE OCTOBER 2018 FUEL TANK DEFORMATION RECALL Campaign/NHTSA#18S32/18V735. Service engine soon light came on, repair shop said I needed a tune up and could still drive ok. Broke down. Got that done and still engine light on so transmission fluid changed too. Now repair shop says it’s the transmission and clutch assembly that the dealer recalled and fixed a few years ago. I’m stuck with payments still and no way to get the $5000 the dealer days it will cost to fix this. Car value is the same. Everyone I’ve talked to has said this is a bad year’s model and will continue to break down even after fixing. Can you offer any advice? Thank you!
The power train control module & transmission control module has failed since I bought the Focus 2016 at 660 m on it. I’ve had this serviced 8 times @ Ford. Check engine light is on. Code P060A Was shown @ Ford. Mileage now is 72000. TCM & PCM were recall several times. Ford is charging me to fix it. Please tell me how this is NOT covered 10 yr. 150 k mile warranty OR by the 8th time being “serviced” & UNRESOLVED?
When driving in stop and go traffic 0=5 mph for about 30 mins the car began to act as if was slipping and revenge up without moving and engine light came on and would sometimes slam into gear. I placed vehicle in sport mode and it idled irratically to the point I felt it was going to shut down. Upon arrival home I realized that now reverse had went out when attempting to put car in driveway. I will be taking it into Ford today for the 1 recall on the fuel canister software but I feel that it is not related and hope they will make some discovery and fix it accordingly.
Car began losing power particularly at low speeds. AAA inspected vehicle and determined that clutch and transmission would need to be replaced (~$10K repair). This is the second time the transmission and clutch have been replaced. The car has a total of 50,000 miles on it (ie, it is still, mechanically, very, very young ) Manufacturer seems to have known about the issue.
Check engine light came on Code P1450 Dealer diagnosed Canister Purge Valve needed to be replaced. My ViN not under recall! This has been a common problem for other 2015 Ford Focus vehicles and many under recall. Recall notice should be expanded to include those of us with this same issue.
Car stalling out while driving with gas tank under half full. Canister fuel pump bad again after 2 1/2 years of replacements
On August 14th at approximately 2 pm my Ford Focus came to a complete stall at the intersection of Seymour Hwy and Brookes Ave in Wichita Falls, Texas. After several failed attempts to restart the vehicle it was pushed into a saver location and towed by Mike's Towing in WF to Quality Lube on Pearlie Drive also in WF. Fuel gauge was sitting at a little over 1/4 tank and panel was reading 78 miles to empty. I ran the VIN and pulled up a recall from 10/22/2018 that Ford neglected to contact me the owner of. The mechanic at Quality Lube would not touch it because of the recall. On August 15th I put gas in and the vehicle started right up, I drove the vehicle from Quality Lube straight to Pruitt Ford (location of purchase) located in Burkburnett, Texas. Left the vehicle and my mother called the next day and explained the problem and dangers improper vacuum through the fuel tank could cause and recall was pulled up. Pruitt Ford failed to run diagnostic to insure their fix actually fixed the issues, stating that they performed the recall and the check engine light was no longer on so they were done on their end. Picked up the vehicle from Pruitt Ford midafternoon on August 18th. August 24th the Check Engine Light came back on, Pruitt Ford was called and stated I would be responsible for $135 to run a diagnostic. I had the code pulled up and it stated P1450 Unable to Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum. Pruitt Ford failed to repair the vehicle to a safe condition. On the 25th the vehicle was taken back to them after being supplied a case number to get the vehicle properly repaired through Ford Motor. CAS-38298302-J2R8C6 This morning I get a call from Pruitt Ford stating that Ford Motor will not honor the recall due to the mileages on the vehicle. This is a 2015 with 65,844 miles on it, there is no mileage limit on a recall and recalls have no expiration date. Ford Motor states it is not a warranty problem therefore the dealership is responsible recall repairs.
The transmission has been repaired only to have worse problems surface. Overnight, I lost my Reverse and a week later the Drive function stopped working. It placed me in a dangerous situation. I was at a gas station, suddenly no Reverse. I was wedged between cars. I had to push it backwards to give room for the car in front. I took it to Ford and they wanted $3000 for a clutch, they made me pay $210 diagnosis fee at Gene Butman Ford. I was angry. I went to a part store, the part was $245!!! I told Ford this car has been in for recalls with transmission and evaporative system. This is at least the third time for the transmission. It's a 2015, only 115,000 miles on it and it already is a piece of junk. I'm never buying a Ford again. The dealership folk were rude and offered nothing even when I mentioned a recall on the transmission.
Car turns off after filling with gas. Does not start properly after refilling tank. If I stop sometimes even in traffic it’ll automatically turn off.
Vehicle stalls & shuts off during use with zero warning, both while in park and while car is running and stopped with foot on brake at a stoplight, and also seems sluggish and straining during active driving as if it wants to stall and shut down. When car stalls, a warning displays (System Start Fault) when attempt is made to restart vehicle and the vehicle WILL NOT restart for anywhere between 45 minutes to 4 hours (so far). The vehicle will then go through varied reactions to attempts to restart when ignition key is turned ... ranging from the dashboard warning of System Start Fault with no success at restart to absolutely NO response of dashboard or other lights/warnings/electrical (completely dead). When this stall/complete shut down occurs, it also becomes locked in whatever gear it was in (Park or Drive) when the stall & immediate shutdown occurs and the gearshift locks in place and you're unable to shift into park or neutral as needed for tow or to move the vehicle off the roadway without the tow driver or other person dismantling the area covering the gearshift to access the hidden pin to shift into neutral to move the vehicle from the roadway. After the first complete shutdown during use occurred, it was taken to a local Ford dealership who was "unable to find the cause" at that time. Since that time, this complete shutdown while in use has occurred another four times within the 3 months following, resulting in either towing the vehicle or waiting 1-4 hours where the vehicle stalls/dies (parking lot, stoplight, etc) until the vehicle decides to restart. I have become terrified of driving this only means of transportation as I don't know when or where this vehicle is going to shut down without warning and fear I will be struck and killed by another vehicle or someone else killed when it shuts down again on the active roadway.
I had a ford certified tech work on my Ford Focus and after my recalls were supposedly repaired my car is doing worse than ever, if I stop on a hill I will sometimes roll backwards due to apparent engagement issue, and after a new tcm to fix that my car now displays “transmission overheating stop safely” after a few miles on the highway. it shifts really rough and I haven’t ran the risk of stopping on a hill. Not what I would expect coming from a family who has over 100 years put into working at ford motor company.
after fueling the 2015 ford focus.Car is very hard to start and when it does start engine runs rough spits and sputters.Check engine light is on had diagnostic done, code was evap problem. was told problem was canister purge valve. no recall that i know of on this issue. this is very concerning because my wife drives this car hauls our grand kid and very elderly mother this should be a recall. I received a P1450 Code on my Ford Focus ST Accompanied with a CEL, after researching there seems to be a issue with the purge valve and not displaying gas levels correctly. It is available for inspection, I am concerned regarding this issue because I want my fuel levels to display correctly, and if I stall on the road I want to be able to reactivate my car without any issues. The issue is reported on a engine code recording device. There was a Check Engine Light.
My car‘s check engine light came on, then the whole car suddenly shut off while I was driving down the highway. After getting it restarted, I filled it with gas and after beginning to drive it, the car shut off again. I have run a code on the check engine light and it stated that the EVAP hose needed to be replaced. I called the dealership and they said that it was likely the CVP as this caused the same issue and multiple vehicles were having to have them replaced.
Vehicle looses all power while driving on freeway. Gas guage inaccurate, after filling gas and driving 150 miles it is out of gas without warning and will loose power under any operating condition. This has happened numerous times.
Check engine light went on 2 minutes later a notification came on dash saying transmission hot safety pull over for 5 mins. Sat there for an hour scared to drive it cause I didn't want to make worse. When I went to drive home it struggles shifting into 1st and not even 3 mins after it shakes into 2nd gear it notifies me that transmission is hot to pull over. I will not drive it afraid it could catch fire and won't shift Car in a shopping plaza waiting to tow to house. Called 2 shops in Canton Ohio and they both said not a shop in town would touch the dual clutch transmission to take it to ford.
My 2015 ford focus has continually stopped in traffic causing a safety risk to other drivers and myself. I've taken it in for recalls and repairs but the problem still exists. The front rail hp switch was replaced and the hp fuel pump was replaced too. I'm afraid for people and my life. I have googled the problem and I see thousands of people have the same problem and can't get it fixed without dumping thousands of dollars into it. This has gone too far. I need help. Please. I'm old and not rich.
The engine on the car stalled shortly after the vehicle purchase from a local dealer (within less than two weeks), The dealer claimed that he never had a such issue, I had to get the car towed to a local Ford dealership then they found out the issue was the purge valve sticking causing negative pressure in the gas tank, so they ended up replacing the purge valve and updated the PCM which should have been addressed by the Safety Recall 18S32 & Safety Recall 19S22. What makes me confused is that when I did VIN lookup , my car was not affected, however the issue I had seems to be the exact match of those two recalls I mentioned. I nearly paid $800 after tax and this seems quite upsetting after I found out Ford had to recall nearly 1.5M cars for the same issues which excluded my vehicle. Is there anyway appeal this issue? I highly believe that Ford is responsible for those two issues I had to pay for. I attached the dealer invoice that explained what they did to fix the car.
MY CAR HAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH CODE P1450. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED IN 2019 AND WAS ADDRESSED BY REPROGRAMMING THE PCM. IN 2021 I GOT THE SAME CODE AND NOW THE PURGE VALVE IS STUCK OPEN. I NOTICED THAT AFTER ADDING FUEL THE CAR HAD TROUBLE STARTING UP UNTIL I GAVE IT A LITTLE EXTRA GAS. I WAS ADVISED NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AS IT MAY STALL, SUDDENLY GO INTO LIMP MODE, OR THE FUEL TANK MAY COLLAPSE. I WOULD LIKE TO NOTE THAT ALL OTHER FOCUSES OF THIS GENERATION HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL ON THE PURGE VALVE, BUT EXCLUDING MY ENGINE THE 1.0. A LOT OF DIGGING INTO FORUMS HAS SHOWN ME THAT MANY 1.0 OWNERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THEIR FOCUS. QUITE SHADY TO RECALL ONLY SOME OF THE FOCUSES WHEN IT SEEMS THAT IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM WITH ALL ENGINE VARIATIONS.

THE CONTACT PAID $200 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE CONTACT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH EITHER ONE OF THE DEALERS OR THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A LOANER VEHICLE FROM THE HAASZ DEALER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER UNKNOWN FORD DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT NICK MAYER FORD SHOULD NOT HAVE CLOSED THE RECALL FOR THE FUEL TANK BECAUSE THERE WAS STILL AN ISSUE. THE RECALL WOULD NEED TO BE RE-ISSUED IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS CURRENTLY WAITING FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO APPLY THE RECALL BACK ON HER VEHICLE. THIS COMPLAINT IS IN REGARDS TO THE FORD FOCUS/FIESTA DPS6 TRANSMISSION ISSUE. DUE TO THE DRY DUAL CLUTCH SYSTEM ISSUE, THE VEHICLE ENGINE WOULD SHAKE AND RUMBLE VIOLENTLY WHILE MOVING. THIS MOSTLY OCCURS WHEN THE SUPPOSEDLY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTING FROM THE FIRST AND SECOND GEAR. THE FIRST TIME I REPORTED THIS TO THE DEALER, THEY REPLACED THE CLUTCH WHICH STOPPED THE RUMBLE ISSUE UNTIL FEW MONTHS LATER, THE RUMBLE RETURNED. AGAIN I REPORTED THIS TO THE DEALERSHIP HOWEVER THIS TIME THEY BLAMED IT ON THE PURGE VALVE IN THE GAS TANK WHICH THEY REPLACED. THIS DID NOT FIX THE RUMBLE ISSUE AND THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT TRY TO VERIFY THE RUMBLE. THEY SIMPLY DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IT BY STATING THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. FEW MONTHS LATER WHILE I WAS ON THE FREEWAY, THE RUMBLE OCCURRED AGAIN BUT WORSE THAN BEFORE. IMMEDIATELY MY VEHICLE LOST POWER AS IF IT'S STUCK AT FIRST GEAR. THE VEHICLE'S SPEED DROPPED TREMENDOUSLY WHICH IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SINCE I WAS ON THE FREEWAY AND EVERYONE WAS GOING 60+ MPH. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER SAFELY WITHOUT GETTING HIT. I RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT RAN CONTINUE TO RUMBLE BUT NOT AS VIOLENTLY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. I QUICKLY BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, THE WARRANTY COMPANY REFUSE TO COVER THE TRANSMISSION REPAIR BECAUSE THE DUAL CLUTCH SYSTEM IS TECHNICALLY A MANUAL CLUTCH. FOR THAT REASON THEY DO NOT COVER IT. AS A CONSUMER, WE HAVE NO IDEA EXACTLY WHAT TYPE OF PARTS THE VEHICLE CONTAINS. THE VEHICLE WAS ADVERTISED AS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WHICH IN COMMON SENSE, IT DOES NOT CONTAIN A MANUAL CLUTCH. THE DEALERSHIP WAS REQUESTING $2000+ FEE TO REPLACE THIS CLUTCH. I RETURNED TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WITH THE INFORMATION AND THE RECALL LETTER AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, SAID THEY ALREADY FIXED IT, WHICH WAS NOT TRUE. THEY UPDATED THE COMPUTER SOFTWARE, NEVER REPLACED ANY PARTS. I RETURNED TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WITH THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHICH I PAID FOR BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE FORD MECHANIC TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY FOR THE SAME DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND IT WOULD COST $150 AND THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL AND THAT FORD WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT. THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR HAS TO BE "SLAMMED" OR CLOSED HARD IN ORDER TO LATCH. I BOUGHT THIS CAR AS FIRST OWNER IN 2015! VERY DISAPPOINTED! I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE TURN OFF ON ME AT LEAST 5 TIMES EVEN WITH MY DISABLE SON WITH ME, I COULD HAVE BEEN HIT AND WE COULD'VE BEEN HURT OR WORSE!

I THINK I HAVE A FAULTY FUEL MODULATOR RELATED TO THE RECALL OF THE BOSCH FUEL PUMP SYSTEMS THAT'S AFFECTED THE 2014 FORD FOCUS AND THE 2015 VW'S. MY CAR WON'T START TURN OVER IMMEDIATELY AFTER FULL REFILL OF GAS TANK. I'VE NOTICED THAT GAS ACTUALLY SPILLS OUT UNDER THE CAR AFTER FILLING UP ALL THE WAY. OCASSIONALLY MY CAR ENGINE WILL STOP ENTIRELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! IT'S HAPPENED TWICE NOW WHEN SHIFTING INTO 1ST AFTER BEING STOPPED AT A LIGHT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CONFIRMED IT'S THE FUEL MODULATOR AND THAT IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE SAME ISSUE AS THE OTHER RECALLED UNITS. THANK YOU!

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN FOR APPROXIMATELY A MILE AND A HALF BEFORE IT STALLED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AT LEAST FIFTEEN TIMES DURING THE PAST MONTH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TWICE FOR THE STALLING FAILURE AND THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,643.

WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REFUEL THE VEHICLE AT A SERVICE STATION, I NOTICED GAS LEAKING ONTO THE PAVEMENT COMING FROM UNDERNIEGH THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL WELL. AS I FURTHER INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM I COULD SEE GAS DRAINING DOWN FROM THE FUEL PIPE THAT LEADS INTO THE GAS TANK. I DIDN'T WANT TO TRY AND START THE VEHICLE IN FEAR THAT THE GAS MIGHT REACH THE HOT EXHAUST SYSTEM AND CATCH ON FIRE. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE GAS FUELER PIPE HAD INDEED BROKE AND REPAIRED IT UNDER WARRANTY.

I RENTED A VEHICLE FROM ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR. I DID NOT RECEIVE THE VEHICLE I RESERVED AND PAID FOR. THREE OUT OF THE FOUR VEHICLES SET ASIDE FOR UBER DRIVERS WERE BADLY STAINED ON THE INSIDE AND NOT WASHED ON THE OUTSIDE. THE ONLY VEHICLE OPTION LEFT FOR ME TO DRIVE FOR UBER WAS A 2015 FORD FOCUS, WHICH WAS STAINED ON THE INSIDE AND NOT WASHED ON THE OUTSIDE. I TRIED TO ASK FOR A REFUND AND WAS TOLD I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR THE RENTAL AND WAS LOCKED INTO THE AGREEMENT AS AN UBER DRIVER. I ASKED FOR A BETTER VEHICLE AND WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY AT THE TIME FOR ME TO TRADE THE LAST VEHICLE OUT FOR. BASICALLY, I WAS STUCK WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CAR BEGINS TO JERK AS I ACCELERATE OR DRIVE. I INFORMED THE RENTAL CAR BRANCH, RENTAL CAR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND THE RENTAL CAR CORPORATE OFFICE. NONE OF THESE DEPARTMENTS/DIVISIONS OF ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR SEEM TO BE CONCERNED REGARDING THE CONDITION OF THE CAR NOR HOW IT FUNCTIONS. MY UBER PASSENGERS (ESP. MALE PASSENGERS) HAVE BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION THAT IT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND THAT I NEED TO GET IT FIXED. I HAVE ESCALATED THE MATTER TO UBER SO THEY ARE AWARE THAT ENTERPRISE IS NOT MAINTAINING THE CARS DESIGNATED FOR UBER DRIVERS NOR MEETING THEIR STANDARDS. I HAVE CONTACTED ENTERPRISE ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS TO BE PUT IN ANOTHER CAR OR GET MY MONEY BACK AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP FOR THEIR WRONGDOING NOR RECTIFY THE SITUATION. THE CONDITION OF THE CAR AND HOW IT RUNS HAS AFFECTED MY UBER DRIVER RATINGS, INTERFERED WITH ME GETTING RIDE REQUEST, AND PROHIBITED ME FROM MEETING MY UBER DRIVER RIDE QUOTA FOR THE WEEK. I TOOK THE CAR TO AN UBER VEHICLE INSPECTION LOCATION WHERE THE CAR FAILED INSPECTION. UBER WAS NOT HAPPY WITH ENTERPRISE PROVIDING ME WITH AN UNSAFE VEHICLE.
