June2 2023 my car the power steering quit no longer able to steer the car. No longer able to drive the car 2011 ford fusion. i noticed there were recalls on steering and electrical my is electrical power steering (no pump). i need to know if i qualify to have it fixed i have reported this to everyone in ford i know to ask. i need my car. my husband was driving when it happen he made it home safe thankful.

FORD has failed to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. I have tried to schedule my FFH airbag recall repair for months. The dealership never answers their phone, nor do they respond to written inquiries. I also have called FORD and spent hours on the phone with no resolution. My mechanic can perform the recall repair. I need specific contact info for billing, so I can get my recall paid for (that my mechanic will perform). I am worried about the unrepaired recall, and the safety of those in my vehicle. This car has been recalled to replace the drivers side airbag. We have a 1 year old infant traveling in this car, and we do not feel safe driving it. We have reached out to the dealer for the recall fix of the defective airbag, but it is not available. It has been almost 6 months, we try to avoid using the car, but it is very difficult to avoid it. This is a very long time to fix a serious, life threatening issue. THIS CAR WAS ALREADY RECALLED FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND IT TOOK MORE THAN 2 YEARS TO GET IT REPLACED, WITH THE RECOMMENDATION THAT NOONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MY DAUGHTER, WITH A 9 MONTH OLD INFANT IS DRIVING THIS CAR AND IS NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE IT WITH THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG RECALL. THERE IS NO TIMELINE AND NOW SHE NO LONGER WILL DRIVE THIS CAR. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IN OUR CAR DID NOT DEPLOY DURING THE HEAD-ON COLLISION. THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG DID DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR SECOND OPINION AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEALER HAD TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE SEAT BELT ON THE DRIVER SIDE FAILED TO RETRACT AND WAS LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. I CONTACTED BOB DAVIDSON FORD AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD PUT ME ON A LIST TO FIX THE AIRBAGS AND TO PROVIDE A RENTAL. IT'S MARCH AND I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM. I CONTACTED ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP, BUD NORRIS FORD, AND THEY STATED THAT THEY AREN'T GIVING OUT RENTALS ANYMORE AND FORD ONLY TOLD ME THEY WERE GIVING OUT RENTALS TO GET ME OFF OF THE PHONE AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT. I CONTACTED A THIRD FORD DEALERSHIP, AL PACKER, AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT EITHER. SO I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AROUND A CAR WITH AIRBAGS THAT COULD KILL ME WITH NO ONE ABLE TO FIX THEM. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU GET ON A LIST BECAUSE I'VE TALKED TO BREE DEALERSHIPS AND NOT ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM OR CALL ME BACK AND TELL ME WHEN THEY COULD FIX IT.

I WAS IN A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT FEBRUARY 23, 2015 WHERE I SLID OFF AN ICY BACK ROAD CAUSING SIGNIFICANT FRONT END DAMAGE WHICH WAS REPAIRED AT MILNES FORD IN LAPEER, MI. DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED BUT THEY NEVER DID. I NOW HAVE A BULGED DISK IN MY NECK AND ANOTHER IN MY LUMBAR SPINE. A LATER COMPUTER SCAN FOR A SEPARATE ISSUE INDICATED THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AS THEY SHOULD HAVE. WHEN THE ORIGINAL REPAIRS WERE DONE, THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT CHECK AND NEVER ADDRESSED THE FAILURE TO DEPLOY. THE ONLY TOWING THAT WAS DONE WAS TO GET MY VEHICLE OUT OF A DITCH.

I RECIEVED A CARFAX REPORT WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AUGUST 2017 FROM DRIVETIME. I WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. NOW, I AM SEEING 4 RECALLS, 2 OF WHICH (2014 & 2016) HAVE APPEARED ONLY NOW THAT THE VEHICLE IS BEING SERVICED. I WAS PROBABLY THE ONLY IDIOT IN AMERICA THAT WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE HIGH-MILEAGE, OVER-PRICED VEHICLE IN THE 1ST PLACE. I WAS TOLD IT HAD BEEN A FLEET VEHICLE FOR A RENTAL CAR AGENCY. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE 2ND SHOP. THE CAR HAS BEEN AT THAT DEALERSHIP SINCE FEBRUARY 1ST. MY ESTIMATE IS ABOUT $260. I'M NOT SURE WHAT I'M EXPECTING TO HAPPEN, BUT I ATTACHED A PHOTO OF THE FUEL OVERFLOW HOSE LEAKING FUEL EVEN WHEN THE TANK WAS NOT FULL. IT WOULD DO THIS REGULARLY AND THAT IS 1 OF THE 2 NEW RECALLS THAT APPEARED. I'M SCARED TO DRIVE THIS CAR. I'VE CALLED AROUND TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS SEVERAL TIMES BUT WAS TOLD BY EACH THAT PARTS FOR THAT RECALL WASN'T AVAILABLE AND THEY WASN'T SURE WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THEM IN. ALSO, I'VE HAD THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL CAR 3 WEEKS PRIOR OF GETTING THE ONE I CURRENTLY HAVE DUE TO AN ACCIDENT WHERE NEITHER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THOUGH NOTHING HAS HAPPENED IN MY CURRENT VEHICLE, I FEAR THAT IF SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN, I CAN'T RELY ON THE SAFETY OF THE AIRBAGS TO PROTECT MY OCCUPANTS. MY WIFE AND I GAVE THIS CAR TO OUR DAUGHTER WHEN SHE GOT HER DRIVERS LICENSE IN 2016.SINCE THEN THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS THAT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED BECAUSE THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR HAS GONE OUT AND FORD IS AWARE THAT IS A PROBLEM BUT WILL NOT RECALL, AND NOW 3 TIMES THE STEERING HAS LOCKED UP ON HER WITH AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT READS "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". IN READING VARIOUS ARTICLES THERE WAS A RECALL BUT FOR SOME REASON MY CAR HAVING A 3.5 LITER WAS NOT IN THE RECALL, NOT REAL SURE WHAT ENGINE SIZE HAS TO DO WITH POWER STEERING. FORTUNATELY ALL 3 FAILURES OCCURRED IN OUR DRIVE WAY WHILE SHE WAS BACKING OUT AND SHE TURNED THE CAR OFF AND STARTED IT BACK UP AND THE CAR CORRECTED ITSELF. MY WIFE WHO IS 75 YEARS OLD A CANCER SURVIVOR HAS SAT IN THE BACK SEAT SINCE 2013. BECAUSE OF HER AGE AND HEALTH PROBLEMS SHE CAN NO LONGER SIT IN THE BACK SEAT. I HAVE CONTACT FORD SEVERAL TIME TO TELL THEM OF THIS PROBLEM. FOR RELIEF IN 2018 THEY ALLOWED ME A RENTAL CAR. APPROXIMATELY, 2 MONTHS LATER I WAS CONTACTED BY THE RENTAL AGENCY AND INFORMED ME THAT FORD WOULD NO LONGER PAY FOR THE RENTAL VEHICLE BECAUSE I SIGNED THEIR FORM AND ADDED (I DIDN'T GIVE UP MY RIGHT TO LEGAL ACTIONS BY SIGNING THIS FORM). BECAUSE I REFUSED TO GIVE UP MY LEGAL RIGHT THEY STOPPED THE RENTAL VEHICLE. FORD CASE NUMBER CAS-15314662 WAS ASSIGNED TO MY CASE AND I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING SINCE.
