My back up camera glitches out where it works one moment and then it doesn’t an I get a message says that the back up camera doesn’t work to call dealership.
Steering Assist Fault Service required along with message Check Charging System after I tried to pull out of work parking lot and steering wheel is hard can not turn it left or right.
I went to start my vehicle and none of the electronic instrument panels turned off. The car started but i couldn't see anything on the panel. I turned off the car, waited for a few minutes, and turned it back on. The instrument panel and other electronic screens turned on but I had 8 different lights pop back on. I had my scan tool and pulled various codes regarding the PCM and losing connection to ABS, steering column, power steering, etc. I took it into my mechanic and they were not able to replicate the issue.
The back-up camera has been very intermittent in its operation. Most of the time, it will show up black. I pulled a code saying that there's an communication error. More recently, it has turned on but everything is inversed. When i turn right, the camera is showing it on the left-hand side of the screen.
The backup camera rarely works, even with replacements.
Went too start the vehicle and power steering/steering at all was at a loss
I had multiple coolant leaks in the pass and I have to constantly replace the hose about every 2000-3000 miles Also my screen went out in my dashboard causing me to not be able to make any audio changes or station adjustments in my car Lastly whenever I get ready to increase my speed my car jerks back
Original/factory back-up camera will go blank or not even change displays when the vehicle is placed in reverse. First occurrence began sometime in 2024.
Nothing on my steering wheel that controls dash works
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while leaving a parking lot at approximately 10 MPH, the steering wheel seized. The contact turned off the vehicle and waited for a while before restarting the vehicle. The contact restarted the vehicle 3 times before being able to turn the steering wheel; however, the power steering functionality remained inoperable. The contact stated that the Service Advancetrac, Lane Keep Assis system malfunction, Hill Start Assist Not Available, Steering Assist Fault, and Service Required messages were displayed on the instrument panel. The dealer was contacted and informed of the failure. The dealer suggested that the contact take the battery to be tested. The battery was tested and there was no failure found with the battery. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

A third party hacked my CPU/Transmission Control System causing malfunction with the engine. The engine randomly would cut off during traffic, and I would need to press gas directly after starting the vehicle to go. My vehicle was fairly new and transmission module should not be ineffective after purchasing my vehicle last July 2023 with less than 80K miles. The notification that makes the vehicle stay in the lane would malfunction randomly notifying me of failure to sensor active crash alert. I also have inability to connect to Ford vehicle app with no reason provided to cut off WiFi connectivity. Please review external IP as I can hear communication of third party observing my way of driving and communication while attempting to drive causing distraction affecting safety of myself, my location placement, and health of the car. Possible CPU/transmission/AC connectivity from July 2023 to Malfunction of vehicle starting 10/2024.
Backup camera operates intermittently in when in reverse, coming on for about 10 seconds before cutting or not coming on at all, which causes near misses when backing up. Also, camera periodically remains on for 10-15 seconds once shifting into drive which is distracting when pulling into traffic and causes near misses. Furthermore, the camera sometimes activates for 10-15 seconds when shifted into drive from park, again very distracting when pulling into traffic. Problem has persisted for at least 5 years, most recent incident today. Service consultant at two different Ford dealers denied knowledge of this problem.
When driving the car will stall out and die in the driving state. This occurs without warning from any sensor light error warnings. After acceleration to 35 it will sputter as if the fuel is not flowing, yet then it will correct but stall and completely die during operation while driving. Have had both the upper and lower full pumps installed within the last calendar yet still currently having the problem or issue. 2014 Ford Fusion SE safety concerns for electric rack and pinion assembly failure
I've had my Ford Fusion SE ecoboost 1.5, 2014 in for service on 2 separate occasions a day apart for the same reoccurring problems. The first service there was the actions done related to recalls which are consistent with 20S15 A-C and recall 23E03 B. The reasons for my Ford Fusion 1.5 to have been brought to the Premier Ford, Waveland, Ms was as follows: The temperature overheat lamp light was jared, there was 3 leaks from the overheat, there was a Shutter and sounds that came from the engine, (LIMP*)and there was no fuel power through acceleration. There had been moisture located on exhaust before brakedown without having been driven for approximately 10hrs before brakedown. 2ed service was as follows: temperature overheat lamp light jared, no power through fuel to accelerate, and issues starting. LIMP* I had not on this brakedown paid attention to if my Fusion needed water, the engines performance in regards to shakes or sounds nor did I look to notice nor did I look for leaks. I called directly to Premier Ford, Waveland and had my Ford towed in. The service was as follows: 1) 3U2Z*14S411*HYB WPT988 WIRE ASY 2) DS7Z*8501*E PW556 PUMPASP-WATER 3) BE8Z*8507*A GASKET-WATER PUMP 4)VC*13*G 3801132 ANTI-FREEZE 5) 6 BM5Z*6K2543*S437 SCREW 6) BM5Z*6K254*A TENSIONER - TIMING BELT With the parts 261.44 Labor 1748.99 misc charges 50.00 for a total of after taxes 2204.66 I picked up my Ford Fusion on October 4, 2024 and on October 9, 2024 I went beck to the Premier Ford and spoke with the service department because I had to stop and let my Fusion cool every 20 to 30 minutes, I stated that there was some loss of water and it was overheating, the power train light warning notify me of an issue, and that my Fusion would not go over 80miles per hr. The service department associate seemed frustrated with me and argued the fact that it had ran hot and said that the reason for the speed issue was that the lamp was Identifying the keylock complete on pdf

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V736000 (Electrical System); however, the contact was informed by the dealer that during the reprograming of the instrument cluster, the instrument panel system had failed. The contact was informed that to repair the instrument cluster the dealer needed to perform a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. Slowing driving out of store parking lot, sudden heavy steering, loss of power steering, 'service advancetrac' & 'hill start assist unavailable ' traction control warning lights on
"Temporarily lost communication with climate system". This fault has appeared several times. When it comes up, no controls in the vehicle work. This includes ac/heater, windows and radio. My daughter had to drive home from work last week with no ac and no means of putting the windows down. The temperature in the car was pushing 100 degrees. This is not safe and it's not the first time. You can get online and find many examples of the same issue on several models. When I spoke to the local Ford dealer service department, they had no answer.
My car when it is parked it will randomly pop the trunk. A lot of issues I’m seeing is ford fusions 2014 and up! Few of my friends are having the same issues especially with keyless entry pad it’s causing issues from water damage or heat causing the car to to this! Their needs to be recall on that cause kids doors aren’t locking properly I have kids I had someone almost steal my car cause my trunk was popped open by itself! My vehicle has lost all power steering, and is giving notice that steering assist fault service is required. The vehicle also is manufactured and produced during they same time recall notice 19S26 came out, however, Ford is stating the VIN is not associated with that recall.

I have 2014 ford fusion SE. Here lately my car has randomly been unlocking itself not only that popping trunk as well. I have took the time replacing the key fob battery first the checking lock adapters to my doors and also my keypad. I have it checked out. Yet nobody knows. I’m [XXX] with two kids this is very stress as a single parent trust that car is ensured locks it’s not. Yall need to do recall and fix this. Power steering failing, will not correct itself to straight while driving without manual assistance, can stay locked in turned position.
My transmission has failed multiple times. Luckily my car is under warranty, because I have been able to have it replaced twice, but both times, these malfunctions have put my life and countless others in danger, because the failure is sudden and not preceded by any warnings. This problem has reproduced twice and been confirmed and fixed both times by Sun’s Auto in Spring Texas. The vehicle has been inspected recently by the manufacturer as my shifter bushings also disconnected as part of a separate recall, resulting in a similar situation as the transmission failure. There have been no warnings prior to any of these issues occurring, and at this point recalling individual parts is not sufficient. The transmission and shifter bushing issues alone cost more to repair than the car is worth at this point, and they are extremely dangerous, especially when combined with the other active safety recalls for this same car such as the brakes, door latches, and steering. Almost every aspect of this car is unsafe as manufactured .
Turned vehicle on one day & the parking break light came on, attempted to disengage with the parking break button but nothing released the breaks. Wouldn’t let me move the car when in drive. After trying to disengage with the button many times, decided to undo the battery because its electric & i was hoping to reset it & wait 20 mins. After doing so the release parking break warning, park break malfunction warning & parking break light was still on & it still didn’t move for another 20 minutes then suddenly after putting it in drive again it let me move. Now the release parking break warning, park break malfunction warning & the parking break light stays on even when actively driving & beeps the entire drive. No auto shops I’ve been to knows how to fix this! HELP PLEASE
Rear view video system is failing either completely or halfway during the back up. Warning message says to contact dealership, who wants to run diagnostics in order to figure out cause. Despite video failure, the audio has continued to work properly. Did not want to pay costly fee to run diagnostics without shopping around for lower price.
“Temporarily lost communication with the Climate System” error. Alert suddenly came on while driving, no prior issues or signs of error. Windows will not go down, air conditioner will not come on, cannot use climate touch screen or control volume from dash.

Rear backup camera intermittently functions. Often going out for the entire duration of backup parking or departing driveway onto street (10 seconds). Reporting date of today but I was un-aware I could report these problems. Seems to have manifested shortly after warranty expiration.

This problem has happened multiple times over the last few years. The windows, air conditioning and radio just stop working. Safety issue - hot day and can't roll windows down or turn the air on! Dealership wouldn't fix it because everything turned back on when we got to dealer, and then again stopped working again later. Very sporadic. Currently not working again.

The trunk on my 2014 ford fusion SE randomly opens. This occurs 3 to 4 times per day. Sometimes while driving, other times while its parked. This obstructs my view, and can cause danger to other drivers if contents in my trunk fly out.
My son completely lost control over the steering wheel while driving on the high way with 65mph, he hardly managed - was lucky - to control the vehicle till it stopped safely. I can not emphasize how much dangerous this was (he received alarm on the dashboard and lost steering power directly after the alarm ).
I went to a dealership in north Vernon Indiana and I was told when the parts come in I’ll get a call no one called me to notify me about any parts to fix my recall I never gotten my door latches fixed.

My 2014 Ford fusion completely lost power and wouldn't even start or turn on novemeber13, 2022. The car was towed to a dealership, and I was told that the coolant was going inside of the engine and causing corrasion. We contacted the warranty company and was told that this was a manufacture's default and that they wouldn't fix/ replace my engine because my whole engine needed to be replaced. I contacted ford and they said there was no recalls on my car and in 2017 I saw on cars.com that the engine/ coolant system for ford fusions from 2014-2017 were recalled but Ford said there was no such recall and that their recalls have an S in them and not a v.
UNKNOWN. I just know something not right with my car. My brake lights will not turn off. There is something wrong with well i think there is something wrong with the transmission and steering. It just needs an all over inspection honestly. I need help, idk what else to do. I have to get back and forth to work! Help!!!
There is an electrical issue where the whole interior/dash system and door panel buttons fault. There is no heat or air flow and the windows will not roll up or down. If the windows are rolled up during summer and it faults the car gets up over 100 degrees quickly. This could kill me and my passengers. Also if it is cold or raining with there being no air flow the front windshield fogs and there is no defrost causing visibility to completely diminish. We have taken to a Ford dealership for repair and they did not fix the issue. This has been an ongoing issue for 2 years. We have also attempted to replace the whole control module and this did not fix the issue. I do not have any more money to put into this car in an attempt to fix the issue and it may not work. This is very unsafe for myself as well as the children in my care with child death tolls growing due to heat exposure in hot cars or freezing in the winter. This is at no fault of my own. No warning signs show on the vehicle prior to this happening.

I have an Electronic Brake System in my Ford Fusion. I rarely use the function. However, when entering into my vehicle, the Electronic Brake System is flashing BRAKE repeatedly, even when I never placed it in that function when turning off my car prior. I went to get my car tested and nothing was found. No problem codes. This may be a defect with the car itself.
I was driving down the highway when My car suddenly popped up a “hill start assist not available” “service AdvanceTrac” and “Steering loss stop safely” as my car completely lost all steering while merging almost causing me to wreck.

Air conditioner turns on by itself. None of the buttons work on the steering wheel unless you hit the steering wheel. Sometimes when you turn on the car all the lights stay on and there is traction issues. If you turn the car back off and then back on it goes away.
The charger for this car has a recall on it. Mine melted before the recall was put in place. I threw what was left of it away. For the recall, 2 dealers have now told me that I have to have the old one in order to get a new one. I also tried contacting Ford directly. All they said was to try a different dealer

I JUST BOIGHT THIS CA 10/22/21 FROM A LOCAL DEALERSHIP, I REALIZED THE CAR HAD ISSUES BY THE 3RD DAY AFTER WHEN THE CAR HAD A FRONT TIRE BLOWOUT AND AFTER I REPAIRED BOTH TIRES ON DRIVERS SIDE I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP TO TALK TO THEM ABOUT THE ALIGNMENT CAUSE THE CAR WAS PULLING. THE DEALERSHIP HAD THERE AUTOMOTIVE SPECIALIST DRIVE THE VEHIACLE.THE DIAGNOSIS TO MY COMPLAINT WAS THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FINE AND WOULD MAKE TO CALIFORNIA AND BACK. ABOUT A WEEK LATER THE CAR WAS GIVING ME ERROR THAT THE CHARGING SYSTEM NEEDED ATTENTION. THE DEALERSHIP HAS GIVEN ME LIMITED WARRANTY WHEN I PURCHASED BUT HAVE A STRICT RULE ABOUT BRINGING IN VEHICLE BY 9AM BUT I WAS UNABLE TO GET A SCHEDULED DATE CONFIRMED SO I TRIED CHARGING THE BATTERY WITH CABLES AT THAT POINT THE CABLES CAUGHT ON FIRE AFTER DIFUSING THAT ISSUE I WAS ABLE TO JUMP CAR AND GET HOME THE NEXT DAY I PURCHASED A BATTERY CHARGER AND CHARGED MY BATTERY AT HOME FOR 24 HOURS . I APPPLIED BATTERY IN THE CAR THE DAY AFTER AND WEMT TO TEST DRIVE IT, IT LEFT ME STRANDED AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED HOME THE CAR HAD COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AT THAT POINT SO I TOOK IN MY OWN HANDS TO JUST SEND IT TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP INSTEAD OF THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT CAR FROM CAUSE THE LENGTH OF TIME IT TAKES TO GET THEM TO CALL YOU BACK IS LENGTHY AND I NEED TO GET TO WORK AND BACK ITS IMPORTANT SO I HAD CAR TOWED FROM MY HOME TO MAXWELL FORD. I ALSO HAD LEARNED OF 6 RECALLS THAT HAD BEEN LEFT UNATTENDED TO SO I FIGURED I WOULD GET THOSE FIXED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE ISSUE WITH THE BATTERY . THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SINCE THE 11TH OF DECEMBER WITH NOW A COST OF ALMOST 5600 DOLLARS AND THATS WHERE I AM WITH THINGS.
Battery chronically drains when car is sitting for a day or more. This has been happening since we purchased the car in 2016. It seems as if all the components of the car aren't shutting off completely (even when we check carefully to make sure they are off) or that they are coming on later after the car is turned off. This means we never know when the car will die and leave us stranded somewhere. We've replaced the battery several times and the dealership can't seem to fix this ongoing problem. This is also a problem that many other people report as an issue online.
On multiple occasions the trunk has popped open fully on its own. I have woken up to my trunk open on multiple occasions. I even witnessed it open itself. I had used the keypad on my car, then locked my car. I sat on my porch and 10 minutes later I watched the trunk pop open. The keys were on the table so it wasn’t an accidental press of a button. I’ve noticed it usually happens after using the keypad. The keypad also has issues itself and often times in the hot sun the keypad just doesn’t work and can leave you stranded. The trunk thing can happen in any climate though. I’ve had the trunk pop open around 10 times.
Driver’s climate fault. Temporary lost communication with the climate system When this happens the a/c goes out and the windows will not roll down. It it way too hot in Texas for me wife and kids to get stuck with the windows up and the a/c not working. We have it at the dealership several time it their fix does not last.
The charger for the plug-in hybrid component of the vehicle started a fire that damaged my property and vehicle. Ford failed to provide a replacement of the recalled charger, including when vehicle was at dealerships, despite my request at the time. Had I not noticed the fire immediately, it likely would have been catastrophic. Fortunately, I was able to use all of a full fire extinguisher to put it out. I contacted Ford about this matter and was told by their corporate customer service that they had no information or assistance of any kind to provide me. I requested a manager call me however I have not received a call back.
I was driving at reg speed(55) down a flat highway. The warning sound and dash lights came on. Startled me.. the "hill assist does not work at this time"?? Light came on. Also 2 red lights at the bottom. I tried to see what the other lights were after I jumped and floated over to the rumble strips.. just bought the car yesterday.. happened twice today...
Check Engine light and Wrench light illuminated on the car Sunday. However, the car was at the dealer twice the same week before this happened. I pulled over because the vehicle was performing rough into a Lowes parking lot. I was within several hundred feet of a Ford dealer and drove it there. The vehicle smelled like smoke and noise from the rear of the vehicle. Service advisor Roxanne Detgen, t. no. 586-840-1086, at Dorian Ford, says that the car likely needs a new engine. She has contacted Ford motor company and then will contact me to authorize a teardown of the engine. The vehicle is a safety risk because it had sudden poor driving performance without the illumination of any lights, loss of power, and is a fire hazard. In fact, it was at the dealer twice the same week this happened and no lights were on.
I WAS DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAY WITH MY KIDS. WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCK UP MID DRIVING AND I COULDNT CONTROL THE WHEEL VERY DANGEROUS. ESPECIALLY HAPPENING ON THE EXPRESSWAY WITH MY CHILDREN ABOARD. WORST COULD HAVE HAPPEN BUT THANK GOD I WAS ABLE TO DODGE AN CAR AN SLOW DOWN TO I STOP AN TURN ON HAZZER LIGHTS AND BREAK. I COULDNT TURN THE WHEEL AT ALL IT WAS VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE. IT WAS DISPLAYING MESSAGES PWER STEERING FAILURE AND ONE OTHER MESSAGE. I TRIED TURNING CAR OFF AND TURNING IT BACK ON BUT THAT DIDNT WORK. I HAD TO GET THE CAR TOWED TO FORD DEALERSHIP IN UNION CITY, GA. WHERE THEY FOUND OUT IT WAS THE PWERSTEERING SYSTEM THAT FAILED COSTING $2600 IN REPAIRS THAT I DIDNT HAVE AND I NEEDED MY CAR FOR WORK. SO I HAD TO COME UP WITH THE MONEY TO FIX AN REPAIR THAT SHOULDNT HAVE HAPPEN. MY KIDS AND I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THIS HAPPEN JUNE 2020 I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES SUDMITTED DOCUMENTS OF REPAIRS AND RECIEPTS. STILL NO WORLD ON ADDING IT TO THE RECALL LIST TO SAVE OTHERS KNOWNING THIS HAS BEEN AN MAJOR ISSUE IN THESE CARS AS WELL AS i WAS TOLD THAT YOU ALL WOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR REPAIRS. The contact stated while entering and starting the vehicle she noticed that the center console display screen started flashing with lines and numbers running on the screen before going completely white. The contact stated that the failure stayed that way for a couple of days and went away but the failure recurred several times afterward. The next time the failure occurred, the contact was driving at undisclosed speed at night and the screen was flashing continually which made it difficult for the contact to see anything in front of her vehicle. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle and continued driving to the residence. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the display was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. DASH LIGHT ON ' CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM LIGHT ALWAYS ON, OCCASIONALLY GOES OUT WHEN STARTED, REPLACED ALTERNATOR WHICH WAS TESTED AT 14.3 CHARGING CAPACITY, CHANGED BATTERY, CHECKED SOLENOID- LIGHT REMAINS LIT. I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR A RECALL, AT THAT TIME I ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE WINDOWS AS WELL AS THE LOCKS. THE ONLY WAY TO LOCK THE CAR WAS THE KEY FOB. NO CODES CAME UP WHEN PUT ON DIALYSIS. THE WINDOWS ALL WORKED AFTER THEY CHECKED, THEY SUGGESTED REPLACING THE MASTERWINDOW SWITCH. I DECLINED SINCE THE WINDOWS WORKED. SHORTLY AFTER MY CONTROL PANEL QUIT WORKING I CANNOT GET ANY HEAT OR AIR. THIS WIL PERIODICALLY WORK FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN QUIT. RECENTLY THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL COME ON, TIRE PRESSURES ARE PERFECT, AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR THE LIGHT GOES AWAY. EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE TIRE LIGHT HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE PARKED. TIRE PRESSURE HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING. I GET P0352 CODES. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH IT BECAUSE IT IS INTERMITTENT BUT RECENTLY THE WIRING HARNESS MELTED ON AN IGNITION COIL. I HAVE REPLACED THE IGNITION COILS, THE PIG TAIL, THE SPARK PLUGS, CHANGED TRANSMISSION FLUID, RECHECKED ALL THE CABLES, AND ONCE THE DEALER REPROGRAMMED THE PCM. IT HAS TO BE THE TRANSMISSION BUT BECAUSE IT IS INTERMITTENT THE DEALER CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I ACTUALLY LOST POWER ONCE AT LOW SPEEDS AFTER THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND DINGED A POLL CAUSING A DENT IN MY CAR. THANKFULLY I ONLY LOST POWER ONCE ON THE HIGH WAY AND NO ONE HIT ME. SINCE I AM OUT OF WARRANTY I AM FORCED TO FIND THE CAUSE AND FIX IT MYSELF. I DO NOT HAVE 4 GRAND FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION INSTALL. MY RESEARCH SHOWS THAT FORD HAS THREE ISSUES WITH MY YEAR. 1. IGNITION COILS OVER HEATING DUE TO BAD PCMS OR PROGRAMMING 2. TRANSMISSION BUBBLES OR TEARS FORMING IN THE RINGS 3. CABLE CONTROLS ON THE TRANSMISSIONS. WHILE DRIVING ON A CALIFORNIA FREEWAY, A FOUL SULFUR SMELL FILLED UP THE CABIN WITH MY FAMILY INSIDE. LESS THAN 12 HOURS LATER, THE CAR BATTERY WAS DEAD AND THERE WAS LEAKED FLUID ALL OVER THE BATTERY. THE FORD MOTORCRAFT BATTERY HAS A 7/16 STICKER, AND WE ARE IN 9/18. THERE WAS NO CORROSION TO THE TERMINALS. THE SMELL THAT WAS RELEASED WAS HYDROGEN SULFIDE, VERY TOXIC AND DEADLY. IT IS ALSO FLAMMABLE. BECAUSE OF THE FAILED BATTERY, WE COULD NOT OPEN THE DOORS EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVER SIDE, WHICH WE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE USING THE HIDDEN KEY INSIDE THE FOB. THE OTHER DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE STILL NON-OPERATIONAL DUE TO A DEAD BATTERY. THIS LEADS ME TO MY MAIN CONCERN. IF THE BATTERY HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE DUE TO THE LEAKING ACID, MY FAMILY WOULD HAVE BEEN TRAPPED INSIDE THE CAR BECAUSE THE POWER DOORS AND WINDOWS WOULD BE NON-OPERATIONAL. THE ONLY POSSIBLE ESCAPE WOULD BE THROUGH THE EMERGENCY TRUNK RELEASE HOWEVER I AM NOT SURE OF IT'S FUNCTIONALITY WITHOUT POWER.

I LEFT FOR WORK STOPPED AT THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY HAD THE CAR IN PARK AND LEFT MY DOOR OPEN WHILE I GOT THE MAIL. GOT BACK IN AND AGAIN DID NOT HAVE AIR AND COULD NOT ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN. EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS THE RADIO WILL NOT WORK EITHER. LAST YEAR DURING THE TIME THE AIR AND WINDOWS WERE NOT WORKING MY BATTERY WAS DEAD WHEN I WAS GOING TO GO TO WORK ONE MORNING. TOOK IT OUT AND WENT AND HAD IT TESTED AT LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE. THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER SEEN A BATTERY THAT THEY COULDN'T READ LIKE THAT BEFORE. IT'S LIKE THE BATTERY WAS FRIED. ALONG WITH THOSE PROBLEMS LAST YEAR MY CAR WAS STATIONARY AT HOME IN MY DRIVEWAY AND I WENT TO GET IN MY CAR AND MY DOORS WERE LOCKED I TRIED THE REMOTE AND THE KEYLESS ENTRY AND NOTHING WOULD UNLOCK MY DOORS. SO I HAD NO ACCESS TO GET INTO MY CAR. A FEW DAYS LATER I TRIED AGAIN AND IT UNLOCKED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHARGE THE PARKED VEHICLE IN MY GARAGE, I PLUGGED IN THE 110-VOLT CHARGER THAT CAME WITH THE CAR INTO THE WALL BEFORE PLUGGING IT INTO THE VEHICLE. IT SPARKED AND NEARLY CAUSED A FIRE. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS CLEAR THE PLUG WAS OVERHEATING OVER TIME AND CAUSED A SHORT IN THE WIRING ADJACENT TO THE PLUG. THE OEM OF THE UNIT WAS MADE BY CLIPPER CREEK. I REPORTED THIS ISSUE TO CLIPPER CREEK AS WELL.

MY 2014 FUSION HAD ABOUT 47,000 MILES WHEN IT SUDDENLY LOST POWER TO ALL BUT THE IGNITION AND LIGHTS. AFTER ATTEMPTING TO FIND THE REASON AT 2 DEALERSHIPS IT WAS FOUND THAT THE WIRING HARNESS THAT LEADS TO THE BCM MODULE WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED AND IT BASICALLY BROKE. THE WIRING HARNESS WAS ON BACK ORDER OVER 35 DAYS SINCE APPARENTLY THERE ARE MANY MORE OF THESE PROBLEMS ON THE 2014 FUSION ASSEMBLED AT THIS PLANT. THE REPAIR FOR THIS FORD-BUILT ISSUE WAS $2,655.03 AND FORD BASICALLY TOLD ME TO STICK IT WHEN ASKED FOR A RENTAL OR LOANER CAR WHILE MY CAR WAS IMMOBILIZED FOR 40 DAYS. AUTO RENTAL WAS ANOTHER $1,000 FOR THE MONTH. FORD CS REPS IN DEARBORN BASICALLY SCOFFED AT ANY ATTEMPT TO HAVE MERCY ON ME AND INCREASED THE PART PRICE SINCE IT WAS HARD TO FIND. I'M SURE THERE ARE MANY MORE IMMOBILIZED FUSION'S, OR MANY THAT SOON WILL BE. THE CAR ALSO HAS AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE THAT CANNOT BE CORRECTED EVEN THOUGH THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN STRUCK. IT "FEATHERS" THE REAR TIRES QUICKLY AND I'VE GONE THROUGH 2 SETS OF 50,000 MILE TIRES IN 30,000 MILES. NEVER WOULD I TELL ANYONE TO OWN SUCH A FINE VEHICLE.
THIS CAR JUST FELL APART AT 130000 MILES. THE PURGE VALVE FAILED 3 TIMES. THE ABS SPEED SENSOR PIGTAIL FAILED. THE ENTIRE PCM UNIT BOARD SHORTED UN REPAIRABLE. THE MAP SENSOR FAILED. FORD HAS CHARGED ME 3 TIMES FOR DIAGNOSIS AS FAILURES WERE LESS THEN 4 DAYS APART SO TOWED BACK EACH TIME. A PCM COMPLETE FAILURE ON A CAR NOT EVEN 4 YEARS OLD WITH ONLY 130000 MILES IS AN ISSUE AS THEY WANT AROUND $1000 FOR REPLACEMENT WHEN IT SHOULD NOT BE FAILING. ADD IN ALL THE PREVIOUS RECALLS THIS CAR HAS BEEN A LEMON FROM THE START. I AM A LONG TIME FORD BUYER BUT THIS HAS SOURED ME. I ENDED UP WITH A FLAT TIRE, BENT RIM, I NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT, THE PAINT IS SCRATCHED UNDER MY CAR, AND I NEED A NEW BARING ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE. ALSO - I FOUND OUT THERE WAS AROUND 5 INCHES OF WATER IN MY TRUNK DUE TO A BROKEN SEAL. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER & I BEGGED THEM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AT TOM HOLZER FORD, AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS MADE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE THEY STILL COULD NOT REPAIR MY VEHICLE PROPERLY, I SPENT $400.00 TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE AND I WAS STILL LEFT WITH THE SAME ISSUES LISTED ABOVE. LOCKS ON DOORS ARE ALSO FROZEN. SEATS WILL NOT ADJUST. WE ARE BASICALLY TRAPPED INSIDE THE CAR WITH NO AIR. IT WAS 95 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND THERE WAS NO AIR FLOW. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. BOTH MY KIDS WERE WITH ME. THIS HAPPENS WHEN CAR WAS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION.

IT IS "NORMAL" FOR MY A/C AND HEAT TO TAKE CONTROL OF ITSELF AND CHANGE WITH ME HAVING NO WAY TO CONTROL IT. THE HEATED SEATS WILL TURN ON BY THEMSELVES, THE POWER WINDOWS DO NOT WORK WHEN THIS HAPPENS, AND MY BLUETOOTH WILL NOT STAY CONNECTED TO MY PHONE. THE O2 SENSOR HAS BURNT OUT, & HAS BEEN BURNT OUT FOR A WHILE. AFTER REFUELING AT ANY GAS STATION THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START UP IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE KEY IS TURNED. IT TAKES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET THE ENGINE TO RECIEVE FUEL & TO TURN OVER, AND EVEN THEN IT STRUGGLES TO START UP OR KEEP RUNNING. I HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT PATTERNS OF PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL, ALTERNATING PRESSURE & TIME WITHOUT FINDING A RELIABLE METHOD. THE VEHICLE HAS TURNED OFF IF I DO NOT KEEP THE MPH ABOVE 15MPH FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES, & IF I STOP FOR LONGER THAN 60SECONDS, IT SOMETIMES TURNS OFF. THIS HAS CAUSED ISSUES IN LIGHT TRAFFIC, ESPECIALLY WITH THE DIFFERENCE IN SPEED BETWEEN MY CAR SHUTTING OFF & COASTING, & CARS PASSING AT 25MPH OR GREATER. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE O2 SENSOR HAS ISSUES, BUT MY PERSONAL MECHANIC HAD CONFIRMED THE ISSUE AFTER I HAD THE VEHICLE INSPECTED AT A BRANCH OF THE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR CHAIN MIDAS. AFTER HAVING THE SENSOR REPLACED AT MEINEKE IN SEPT 2016, IT BURNT OUT AGAIN IN OCTOBER 2016. ATTACHED IS THE REPAIR RECIEPT WHICH WE FINALLY FOUND TODAY WHILE PACKING FOR OUR MOVE.

TURNED THE CAR ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE NEXT 24HRS BUT SYSTEM WOULD NOT RE-SET. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE SYSTEM RE-SET WHEN I STARTED THE CAR. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY TROUBLE CODES. CALLED FORD MOTOR CO. AND THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM AND COULD OFFER NO ASSISTANCE IF NO TROUBLE CODE WAS FOUND EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS STILL UNDER THE WARRANTY PERIOD. NOT HAVING A/C, HEAT, OR THE DEFROSTER I BELIEVE COULD PLACE ME OR MY FAMILY IN A VERY DIFFICULT IF NOT DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. BATTERY WAS INITIALLY NOT TAKING A CHARGE, THEY SAID IT WAS A DEFECTIVE MODULE AND REPLACED BOTH THE MODULE AND THE REAR BACK UP CAMERA WHICH THEY SAID WAS DRAINING THE BATTERY. IN THIS CASE THEY HAD THE CAR FOR 2 1/2 WEEKS BEFORE RETURNING IT TO ME .. ABOUT 4 DAYS AFTER I GOT IT BACK THE CAR STARTED SHUDDERING DURING A REVERESE POSITION IN A PARKING LOT AND DIED.. IT STARTED RIGHT UP AGAIN.. THE NEXT DAY IT LOST ALL ACCELERATION AT A LOWER SPEED IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, ONCE AGAIN IT DIED BUT STARTED RIGHT UP AGAIN. THE INFORMATION DISPLAY ON MY 2014 FORD FUSION BLACKED OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN DECEMBER, 2015. THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE CAR HAD APPROXIMATELY 48,000 MILES WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE FORD DEALER WHERE I HAD BOUGHT THE CAR. I PAID $99.95 TO HAVE THE PROBLEM DIAGNOSED. I WAS TOLD THAT IT NEEDED A GATEWAY MODULE THAT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $300, BUT THE $99.95 WOULD GO TOWARDS THAT COST. WHEN THE PART CAME IN AND INSTALLED, THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTED. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAD TOLD ME THAT THE GATEWAY MODULE MAY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE COST WOULD BE $707 AND THE SHOP WOULD NEED MY CAR FOR TWO DAYS. I ALSO WOULD NEED TO BRING ALL MY KEYS FOR THE PROGRAMMING. THIS ALL SEEMS TO BE A STEEP PRICE TO FIX A DISPLAY PANEL THAT I USE ONLY FOR AN ODOMETER AND SOMETIMES FOR TRIP MILEAGE. I SAW ON THE SERVICE BULLETIN NO. ASI-44742 THAT OTHER 2013-2014 FORD FUSIONS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND THESE CARS NEED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER REPLACED DUE TO PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION. I DRIVE A 2014 FORD FUSION SE WITH A 1.6L ECOBOOST AND A 6 SPD MANUAL TRANSMISSION. IT HAD APPROXIMATELY 40,500 MILES AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. UPON REACHING A SPEED OF 35-40 MPH WHILE ACCELERATING (I SHIFT AT 2500 RPM'S) I HEARD TWO CHIMES SIMILAR TO THE CHIMES THE CAR MAKES WHEN I START IT. ONCE THE CHIMES FINISHED SOUNDING MY INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT BLACK EXCEPT FOR THE NEEDLES WHICH ALL CAME TO A REST INTO THE "OFF" POSITION". THEY STILL REMAINED LIT. I HAD NO DASHBOARD LIGHTS. MY CAR LOST POWER AT THE SAME TIME AND THE STEERING BECAME SLIGHTLY HARDER THAN NORMAL. THERE WAS A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF THROTTLE RESPONSE AND THEN NO RESPONSE. I WAS ABLE TO COAST ONTO A SIDE STREET WHERE THE CAR COMPLETELY WENT DEAD BY THE TIME I CAME TO A STOP. BEFORE COMING TO A STOP MY BRAKE PEDAL PUSHED DOWN EASIER THAN NORMAL. AT SOME POINT BEFORE COMING TO A STOP MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN WENT OFF ONCE THE CAR DIED. AFTER STAYING STOPPED FOR A FEW SECONDS I RESTARTED THE CAR AND CONTINUED DRIVING WITH NO ISSUES SINCE. WHEN THE CAR LOST POWER AND DIED THERE WAS NO STUTTERING OR STALLING. THE CAR SHUT ITSELF OFF VERY SMOOTHLY. THE NEXT DAY I TOOK THE CAR TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY PROMPTLY LOOKED AT IT. AFTER CONDUCTING A COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC CHECK I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE HAD BEEN A, 'THROTTLE BODY INCIDENT'. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT IT APPEARED THAT THE AIR FILTER HAD NOT BEEN PROPERLY SEATED INTO ITS HOUSING WHEN CHANGED AT THE 30K MILE MAINTENANCE INTERVAL. THEY CONDUCTED FURTHER PINPOINTING AND LOCATED PARTICLES INSIDE THE THROTTLE BODY WHICH THEY CLEANED OFF. THE DEALER UPDATED THE PCM AND CONDUCTED A SATISFACTORY ROAD TEST. SINCE THE INCIDENT I HAVE PUT SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES ONTO THE CAR WITH NO ISSUES. I WAS FORTUNATE THIS OCCURRED ON A ROAD WITH LIGHT TRAFFIC AND WHILE NOT TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED.

THIS HAS HAPPENED 6 TIMES BETWEEN APRIL 27TH AND AUGUST 30TH. SOME TIMES IT GOES UP TO 85 DEGREES AND SOMETIMES DOWN TO 60 AND THERE IS NO STOPPING IT WHILE DRIVING. FORD HAS UPDATED COMPUTER TWICE AND REPLACED IT ONCE. WAITING FOR CALL BACK FROM FORD TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THERE IS NO CONTROLLING IT AND IT'S GOING TO EXTREME LOW AND HIGH TEMPERATURES, AS WELL AS THE CONTINUOUS BEEPING. EXTREMELY DISTRACTING. WELL TODAY MAY 22ND ON MY 25 MINUTE DRIVE INTO WORK IT HAPPENED AS I GOT ONTO HIGHWAY, ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER RESET. THE SECOND ACCELERATION/ DECELERATION ISSUE IS....THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY ACCELERATE TO 5500- 6000 RPM, THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH IN 6TH GEAR IT HAS ALSO HAPPENED WHILE SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT WILL MAINTAIN THAT HIGH RPM FOR 5 OR 6 SECONDS THEN DECELERATE. AFTER OVER TWO HOURS THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEM WITH THE CAR THAT MIGHT HAVE CAUSED IT TO NOT RECOGNIZE MY KEY FOBS AND NOT START. THEY KEPT MY CAR OVERNIGHT BUT BY NOON STILL FINDING NO PROBLEM OR CURE TO IT THEY SAID I COULD COME AND PICK UP THE CAR. WHEN I GOT THERE THEY SAID THEY HAD CONTACTED FORD AND FORD HAD NO INFORMATION TO GIVE THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I DID SOME RESEARCH MYSELF HOWEVER ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON FORD'S OWN WEBSITE IN THE "FORUM" SECTION SAYING OTHER CUSTOMERS HAD REPORTED THE VERY SAME "KEY NOT RECOGNIZED" AND NONE STARTING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR VEHICLES. THIS 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION ENGINE INTERMITTENTLY STALLS AT OR VERY NEARLY AT A COMPLETE STOP IN NEUTRAL GEAR. THE ENGINE STALLS MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN IT'S RAINING. THE ENGINE STALLS WERE APPROXIMATELY 20-25 TIMES OVER 4-5 MONTHS. THE IGNITION BUTTON, INTERMITTENTLY, DOESN'T START THE CAR THE FIRST TIME AND HAS TO BE PUSHED TWICE BEFORE THE ENGINE STARTS. THE FUEL LIGHT GAUGE INTERMITTENTLY LIGHTS UP BETWEEN 1/4 OR 1/8 OF A TANK, OTHERWISE IT LIGHTS UP WHEN THE LINE IS BASICALLY AT THE BOTTOM. INTERMITTENTLY THE SUNROOF DOESN'T OPEN OR CLOSE PROPERLY. SOMETIMES IT REMAINS OPEN WHILE AT THE SAME TIME, THE INTERIOR HEADLINER IS ACTUALLY CLOSED. IF YOU AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW THE SUNROOF IS ACTUALLY OPEN BECAUSE THE INTERIOR HEADLINER REMAINS CLOSED.

FORWARD COLLISION WARNING.THIS SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO WARN YOU THAT THE CAR IS STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND YOU APPROACHES CAR OR IF HE PULLS IN FRONT OF YOU SLOWS DOWN QUICK TO GIVE YOU SUFFICIENT TIME TO STOP.ON MY CAR YOU HAVE TO BE 10 FEET FROM THE OTHER CAR OR AT TIMES IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. TO PROVE THIS I HAVE RUN MANY TESTS. THE DEALER SAYS WHEN FOLLOWING CLOSELY BEHIND A VEHICLE OR ONE STOPS QUICKLY IN FRONT OF YOU THE RED LIGHTS ARE NOT COMING ON THE AND ACTIVATING THE DRIVER ASSISTED BRAKING. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY TROUBLE AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS WORKING CORRECTLY. THE SAID ALSO THE FRONT CRASH SENSORS ARE NOT WORKING AND BEING TOO CLOSE TO THE VEHICLE FRONT OF THEM. I BELIEVE FORD HAS ENGINEERED SYSTEM POORLY AND IT COULD BE A DANGER TO MANY FAMILIES DEPENDING ON THIS IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO QUICKLY PREVENT ANY POSSIBILITY OF A REAR END CRASH AND TO WARN THEM BEFORE THE COLLISION OCCURS. 2014 FORD FUSION TITANIUM LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER ON 03/03/2014 WHEN MY WIFE PULLED INTO THE GARAGE. SHE SAID THAT SHE TRIED TO REMOVE THE CD DISC BUT IT WOULD NOT EJECT. I WENT INTO THE GARAGE AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO ELECTRICAL POWER AT ALL. I THEN OPEN THE HOOD AND REMOVED THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE BATTERY AND REINSTALLED IT AFTER 1 MINUTE AND EVERYTHING RETURNED TO NORMAL. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANYMORE INCIDENTS SINCE TODAY'S DATE OF 03/11/2014.

WHILE DRIVING, I ATTEMPTED TO LOWER THE REAR RIGHT WINDOW. I FELT THE POWER GOING TO THE WINDOW, BUT THE WINDOW DID NOT LOWER. I ATTEMPTED TO LOWER WINDOW AGAIN, BUT THEN THERE WAS NO POWER FELT. FORTUNATELY THERE IS NO URGENT NEED TO LOWER THE WINDOW DURING THE FREEZING WEATHER WE ARE EXPERIENCING. I WILL BE TAKING THE CAR BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AGAIN (NOW WITH 2000 MILES DRIVEN) AS SOON AS I GET A CHANCE AND ITS WARMER OUT. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE, I TURNED MY WIPERS ON DURING A HEAVY RAIN STORM. WITHIN A FEW SECONDS, THE WIPERS STOPPED. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THE NEXT MORNING WITH ONLY 1000 MILES. SERVICE ADVISER HAD THE WINDSHIELD MOTOR REPLACED (AFTER PUTTING ONLY 1000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE). AFTER GETTING THE CAR BACK, THE WIPERS SQUEAKED AWFUL DURING THE NEXT RAIN FALL. TOOK THE CAR BACK AND THEY REPLACED THE WIPERS. UNLESS IT IS RAINING STEADILY, THE WIPERS SQUEAK IF IT IS JUST DRIZZLING. NOT AS BAD, BUT THEY CONTINUE. *TR
