Rear camera sometimes displays black image or error message when I shift into reverse , I was notified by my insurance company there was a active recall on this specific part on the car - it has been about 2 months now and I am still unable to get to problem fixed as the parts are not available
Transition light it pulls when put into gear and lost power when trying to accelerate when driving.
Rear view camera goes crazy when in reverse, sometimes shows a blank white screen, sometimes a message appears that the camera is not available and to contact a dealer, it will randomly activate while driving forward sometimes immediately after putting it in drive and other times after driving forward sometimes immediately a while after continuously driving for a while without having put it in reverse at at point. It also has no sound through any setting: radio, satellite, or Bluetooth
My 2016 ford fusion eco boost suddenly began overheating and the sensor would go off then on. I can’t even drive 10 feet. This problem has been consistently happening even after multiple repairs.
I am writing to report a widespread issue with the hands-free phone function in vehicles equipped with the Ford Sync System. The phone button used to connect a mobile device for hands-free calling does not work properly. Because of this malfunction, I am unable to use my phone in a hands-free manner while operating my vehicle, which creates a potential safety hazard and increases the risk of distracted driving. This issue appears to be common among other owners with the same Sync System, suggesting a possible defect in design or software. Since this feature is intended as a safety measure to help drivers stay focused on the road, I believe it should be investigated and repaired under a recall. The backup camera was intermittently showing no image and now it says "Camera unavailable. Contact your dealer." This impacts the safety of myself and others while backing up the vehicle. I have not taken the vehicle to a dealer yet but it can be reproduced if requested. The intermittent loss of image started last week and slowly led to the camera no longer working at all.
My back up camera has the same issues that Ford listed in their recall. My screen is black at times when backing up. My camera doesn't always pop up when backing up, my normal screen will stay on as of I'm not backing up. I have had the black screen with a notice that says my camera isn't working and I need to contact my dealership.
Rear Backup camera in faulty. Cuts in and out. I've had numerous incidents where I've almost hit people and cars. This problem is going to cause me to have an accident or hit someone

The backup camera on our 2016 Ford Fusion has worked intermittently for quite some time now. (Couple of years at least.) Sometimes when we shift to reverse we get a black display screen, sometimes we get a distorted image, sometimes we get a message saying no camera is available, other times it works normally. The symptoms sound like the ones described the vehicles that are involved in the current rearview camera recall. I had seen rearview camera recalls for Ford products in the past and expected our car to be covered eventually since the symptoms sounded so similar. We have not taken it for repair at our dealer as we have been waiting for a recall. Reporting it now in the hopes that the recall will be expanded to other models that seem to have similar safety issues.

A few years ago our camera on our 2016 Ford fusion started acting up. Going in and out, sometimes blank. I actually filled a complaint out before. I have noticed recalls on cameras but not our vehicle or even year. Now I saw one yesterday or this morning that listed my year but not model. I forgot to mention above that it also goes completely opposite. This is a major issue and concern. It has almost caused accidents especially in parking lots. No incidents YET. People love walking behind cars backing out and this is a deadly combination waiting to happen
My complaint is, why does my 2016 Ford Fusion 1.5L 4-Cylinder EcoBoost Engine continue to be excluded from these major recalls? It's not fair as I deserve to have my engine, clock spring, & my rear view camera replaced just like the other Ford vehicles! I purchased my 2016 Fusion in 2018 & only a couple of years later I started having problems with the rear view camera but the dealership said that it wasn't covered under the warranty. I have always smelled engine coolant & oil but was always told that there is nothing leaking on the ground so there's nothing to worry about. Also I reached out to you guys in 2024 with the Gmail address of [XXX] ) about my steering wheel clock spring & never heard anything back, so I purchased a new one on [XXX] & replaced it myself when it arrived. Also earlier that day, I had my valve cover replaced at Brad Howell Ford in Kokomo, IN because I have been constantly losing oil & smelling oil burning. Even after that, I continued to smell oil & engine coolant but still get told that there's nothing leaking. Well my next oil change after that, I told them to check again because I had to add more oil, & that's when they determined that it was the turbo drain tube, which they replaced on Nov.5, 2024. That stopped the oil smell, but I continued to smell engine coolant which I continued to report to them, & at each oil change, they continued to top off the engine coolant. On Aug. 12, 2025 Brad Howell Ford decided to run a camera down into my cylinders & discovered that there's oil & coolant leaking down into my #2 cylinder. I contacted Tonia Frataccia, Customer Experience Specialist, Ford CX/Team, & I was told that my VIN# didn't make the recall list & that's why my engine wasn't replaced. It's not fair as my vehicle has the same defective engine & parts as the other recall vehicles & I deserve to have my car repaired also at Fords expense. Please help me, I need my car. Backup camera inverts and blanks out. Other ford vehicles have this issue and have recall notices. 2016 Ford Fusions do not have this recall.
Backup camera has failed. Again. It was first replaced in 2020 under extended warranty. Now it has failed again.
I was driving on the expressway. My car Went into limp mode it didn’t stall completely out, but I was not able to accelerate any eventually the wheel became tight. every light came on.. I made it safely off the expressway. My car would not start the ODB port is not reading. I’ve taken it to several mechanics all of them say that it’s my PCM. They said my PCM needs to be reprogrammed. There’s currently an active recall from my exact car but when I search my vin It tells me I have no active recalls.
The trunk opens on its own intermittently. When I try to close the trunk, it will not stay closed and a clicking sound can be heard. This has been going on for almost three years. I took the vehicle to our family mechanic, and he drove my vehicle for 30 days to run shop errands hoping the trunk would open and he could determine the malfunction. Unfortunately, the trunk did not mysteriously open for him. I have even had the trunk open when I was not home and a neighbor called to alert me. The trunk would not stay closed, so I directed them to place a piece of heavy lumber on the trunk to keep the trunk at least in the down position. When I begin to drive the car, the trunk will open on its own. I'm deathly afraid the trunk will open while I am traveling on the highway and is a safety issue.
Backup camera intermittently goes out for a few seconds when backing up, resulting in a blank screen. Putting the driver at risk of property damage or injuring others. I have a small dog & am aftaid of i juring him when backing into driveway. The issue has been recreated by independent service tech but not inspected by any parties. The components/vehicle are available for inspection. There are no warnings or symptoms that I have observed prior to camera cutting out.
When in reverse the backup camera glitches sometime, it doesn’t even come on. There’s a knocking under the hood. I’ve been told that is the fuel pump . After getting gas and trying to turn the ignition back on it stalls, it takes sometimes 3 to 4 tries before getting it started. After having repairs done to brakes, tires, and more, the ABS light is still on and sometimes the brakes act like they don’t wanna stop. I only have a picture where the camera is not working. It’s glitching. I’ve taken it to shops, but forgot to get the invoice to know in reference to everything else that’s going on. I haven’t made any repairs yet that’s in the works.
purchased a used vehicle. At the time of purchase, there were no visible issues with the car. However, approximately 20 days later, a significant jerking and knocking problem related to the transmission appeared. Due to this issue, I stopped using the vehicle for a while. After consulting with a mechanic, I was informed that the transmission needs to be replaced. As of now, the car is struggling significantly to move. When I turn the ignition, the engine starts, but the vehicle does not move. If I turn the ignition off and restart it, it may move slightly after shaking the vehicle, but then it quickly stops and displays an error again. In this condition, the vehicle is not drivable. Unfortunately, the person I bought the car from refused to accept any responsibility or take the car back, despite my clear communication about the issue. Additionally, the following issues have also started to occur: The steering wheel becomes stiff suddenly. This resolves temporarily after turning the ignition off and on again. The brake pedal sometimes vibrates as if it’s losing pressure. I can clearly feel this under my foot while braking. Sensor malfunctions have also started to appear. The current condition of the vehicle poses serious safety and functionality concerns. Unfortunately, I am not financially able to cover any additional repair costs. Therefore, I would like to know if there is anything legally or technically that can be done regarding this matter. Otherwise, I will be forced to sell this vehicle as scrap. While backing up, the rear came will show a black screen on the display or a message to contact the dealership. This isn't a constant issue, but comes whenever. I took it to the dealership a few years ago, but because it wasn't happening then, they said there was nothing they could do.
Rear passenger seat belt will not release lock/tension/broken. Will not allow rear occupants to buckle in. Safety issue. Seems to happen on most 2013+ ford vehicles specifically trims like titanium with a 'inflatable belt" This issue should be recalled free of charge, It is a major safety issue not to be able to use a seatbelt. The best remedy would be inspect and replacement of broken components. Both occurred over 80k miles one being a truck (entirely different vehicle)
Backup camera seldom works. It will often display an error once gear is shifted into reverse that the camera is unavailable. Other times it will glitch into a blue screen and then display the error message, or it I’ll work with no issue. This issue began about three weeks ago.
Back Up Camera cuts in and out, sometimes works correctly, other times doesn't come on at all, other times comes on and in the middle of backing up shuts off, this has been going on for years and now I am seeing recalls by Ford of other models being recalled for back-up camera failures and I believe the recall should include 2016 Ford Fusions
The back up camera does absolutely nothing to notify the driver if it's getting too close to something or someone. It does not show the green, yellow or red lines as you're reversing and it does not even beep when approaching something too closely. It's just there. No purpose. There luckily had been no incidents so I put today's date as I fill in this form.

Our 1.5 EcoBoost engine overheated on 3/20/25, my daughter was driving and the vehicle started shaking and it slowed way down, for a moment she feared for her life, she said it had a message and the check engine symbol was illuminated and the vehicle would not accelerate, when she got it was leaking coolant and white smoke, I took my OBDII scanner, one code was P1299 Cylinder Over temp Protection Active, it now emits white smoke and overheats and looses fluid. My trunk pops open randomly and will not stay shut
I was parked in a parking spot in a parking lot and put my car in reverse to back out. As I was backing out my gear shifter cable snapped and I could not put my car back into any other gear. This caused me to be stopped in the middle of the parking lot blocking traffic. If the cable would have snapped before I was in the vehicle it would have rolled back into other vehicles, and possibly a pedestrian. I had to call a tow truck driver who was able to temporarily pop it back into gear to get it in the rollback and tow it to the nearest Ford dealership. It was confirmed at the dealership that it was in fact the gear shifter cable and this was a common problem with ford fusions and many had recalls for this exact thing, however my car was not covered under the recall. There were no warning signs of prior issues to this problem and just happened.
Trunk automatically opens while driving numerous times. Pulled over when able and noticed that the actuator clicks continuously until I turned the car off.
Without warning, my car got stuck in reverse while backing out of a parking spot. I could not shift the vehicle into any gear. I was stuck in the middle of a parking lot blocking traffic. Upon inspection, the Transmission shifter cable bushing was broken off causing the shifter cable to be dislodged from the actual transmission shifter. Same year, make and model have been recalled but not my VIN.
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid, which I purchased in late June 2024. Recently, I encountered severe symptoms, including a persistent coolant leak and a puff of white smoke from the tailpipe. Initially, the dealership diagnosed the issue as a simple battery problem related to a cylinder 4 misfire. Following their advice, I spent nearly $500 on a new battery and diagnostic fees. Unfortunately, after driving the car, the engine light reappeared, indicating that the initial diagnosis was insufficient. Upon further inspection, the technician found a puddle of coolant on top of piston 4, which suggests a significant internal problem. This situation mirrors complaints from other Ford owners regarding their EcoBoost engines, even though my hybrid engine is not classified as EcoBoost. I am concerned about the lack of action regarding these issues, especially since they pose serious safety risks. Additionally, I have been informed by Ford that an engine tear-down is necessary to diagnose the full extent of the problem. If deemed not covered under my warranty, I will be responsible for $1,710 for the tear-down alone, with an estimated cost of around $11,000 for a new engine. As a college student with limited income from a part-time job, I cannot afford these expenses. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter and consider the broader implications for all affected Ford vehicles. I look forward to your prompt response. These unresolved issues not only threaten my safety but also potentially endanger others on the road. My repeated attempts to seek support from Ford have been met with inadequate responses, leaving me frustrated and without a clear path forward. The coolant leaks into the engine, causing misfiring, overheating, and sputtering.The following message is the displayed on the dashboard. "Engine Coolant Over Temperature". When this happens, the happens the vehicle barely moves with smoke from the hood. As a result I no longer use the car. The car locked in Neutral but the gear shift is locked in Park. The bushel broke, which was a recall on my make and model but does not show when I search for recalls on my vehicle.

I was sold this car in 7/2023. I have replaced the transmission 2x now, the flex plate has broken, the brakes have needed replaced 2x. I was sold a lemon vehicle and now the car has a negative equity of $11,000 and I'm completely screwed.
This is second time my transmission was bad in a ford
The trunk randomly pops open at random times. From the vehicle to being parked or driving down the highway. Multiple mechanics as well as Ford have stated they are unable to locate any problems. Once it is popped it takes 30-45 seconds for the clipping to stop before the trunk will close again. Often it will immediately re open and I have to go through this cycle 3-4 times before it stays closed until the next incident

The car started to jerk as I was driving. Sometimes it's OK other times it starts when I accelerate like it goes out of gear came on. I did try to take it to AutoZone with the light had already gone off. I also took it diagnostic. they said that I could Transmission control module issue. I change my battery voltage. Immediately battery this resolved the problem for about 30 minutes and then the process started over again. Insecure driving this vehicle at this point I have read online. This is an issue 2016 Ford fusion I need help .
The ABS System light , The traction off and on at the same time, the advanced track light, and finally the tire pressure monitor fault I belive is what it says. The lights came on one day when I crossed over railroad tracks that were a little rough nothing that should damage anything on a vehicle. one after another the lights began coming on. The steering is very tight and makes it hard to drive. When I go over bumps or any uneveness in the roadway the car will shift making the steering wheel jerk and the car to swerve. When you push on the brakes at times it feels like they are skipping and making a weird skipping sound as well. I thought it was needing the brakes so I got all for sides new brakes and rotors. That did not help either. I had a diagnostic scan done the car but it did not pick up anything but an h20 sensor so I got that repaired. I don't know why this is happening and I'm a single mother/grandmother. I cannot afford to spend a lot of money trying to fix these issues.

When audio system is turned on or volume is turned on, loud cracking booming and static noise comes through at random moments. More noise occurs while driving 55+ but still occurs when idiling. The audio occurrence has almost caused several accidents since its loud ear piercing noises that comes from speakers. I have taken it to the ford technician to no avail. Due to other forums this is a issue with most fusions. The noises started occurring after my back up camera was replaced.
There is an Unrepaired Recall associated with my car. The Manufacturer Recall Number is 23S12. The NHTSA Recall Number is 23V162. The https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls website instructed me to file an online complaint if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner.
Went somewhere in my car. Got out the door wouldn’t latch. Had to drive it home with a broken latch. That in itself is a safety issue! It very well could have broken while I was going down the road at 55mph. I was just lucky it didn’t. I stopped at one mechanic, he said there was a manufacturer recall, the dealership where I got the car won’t honor the recall. They are making me pay $150 diagnostic fee to look at and fix. I’m f course that doesn’t include parts and labor to fix. All that is extra. I may need to take out a loan at the bank to pay for it all.
The driver side door latch will not close. This is apparently a recall being enforced in only certain states. My car was bought, and registered in Pennsylvania, and is not covered by the 2 previous recalls for this issue. I do not know why Ford won't cover a door latch repair. The door literally won't close, so the car is not secure and also cannot be driven in this condition. We've tried all methods to get the door to close, none work. Contacted both Ford Customer Service and our local Dealership Fred Beans Ford in Mechanicsburg, PA, and both refused to remedy the complaint.
The component that failed was the flex plate. It is available for inspection at this exact moment, but it’s scheduled to be fixed next week. The safety issue is that it’s intermittently providing adequate power to the engine and causing the vehicles steering to shake violently. The vehicle was inspected by certified Ford dealership and it was proven to reproduce the problem. There were no warning lights on the dashboard and the problem first presented itself 3/07/24.
So multiple times in this past year I have been driving my car as normal and when I approach an intersection, decreased my speed, then proceed to accelerate in order to move forward or turn ... while pressing the accelerator its like i have no power.. it goes into a limp mode. There is nothing that triggers this is behavior. It has occurred multiple times. It has occurred as I have came off the interstate and sat at intersection and also while in city limits. It has happened a handful of times and its not producing any engine light indicators when this is happening. I typically turn off car and then have to turn it back on for it to work again. This is extremely scary for myself and dangerous. I'm concerned about the safety of myself , my family, and other drivers on the road. Failing to accelerate properly at intersection could cause a collision. I've almost been rearended / caused traffic concern & delays attempting to maneuver my car safely off the to the side of road. I've seen multiple comments online about the same issue I took it to Ford Garage and they didn't know what it was and say it may be throttle body but their not sure. They were just guessing. I was also told they would try to see if it was covered under warranty but they weren't sure but I never heard back. They told me I could call but I was waiting on them to call. I also spoke to advance auto who said it may be Throttle body and/or acceleration pedal sensor. I am financing this car and honestly it has less than 60,000 miles and shouldn't be having these issues.
I was driving my car when i saw an emergency sign on the dashboard telling to safely park. then the car could only drive using the power generated by the electric battery and when the battery went out of power the car could not switch to gas to use the engine power I was on san mateo bridge when it happen I could feel the car rolling back on a park gear.

The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic, who replaced the coil valve, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the same local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 65,550.

Coolant leak into engine causing over heating 24/7, damaging and leaking into combustion chamber , spark plugs had to be replaced , engine needs another replacement after I had replaced it the first week I got it with the vehicle’s warranty, engine is at risk for engine fire and failure. Transmission shifter cable replacement, became detached and damaged, car was stuck in reverse twice and had to be towed to mechanic . Current Recall on breaks because of possible fluid leak for ford fusions , at risk for crash. Engine currently is shakey when you first start it up.
The backup camera has been cutting out recently. Just yesterday, the backup camera is displaying an image that is reversed (object on the sidewalk side (right side) of the vehicle, show up on the street side (left side) of the screen). I can no longer use the backup camera, as it is designed. The dealer has a one-month backlog on appointments, but I am taking it to a non-dealership mechanic on Monday. You will notice in the picture attached, the black car shows up on the left side of the screen, and it's actually on the right side of the car.
The car door won’t latch & the door pops open while I’m driving. There is suppose to be a recall on the door that no one will honor !

My vehicle is a 2016 Ford Fusion SE VIN3FA6P0H79GR130351. There is currently a recall (20V177000) on 2016 Ford Fusions, however it appears that the recall does not cover my specific vehicle per Ford. In 2021 we had an incident where the driver side door latch broke/stopped functioning causing the door to swing open and the door not securing properly. Upon that incident occurring, I took the vehicle to the dealership (Duval Ford, Jacksonville Florida) for repair, at which time I was told my vehicle was not covered under the recall nor was the issue covered under warranty. Thus I paid approximately $400 to have the repair complete. Yesterday the door latch failed again, this time while driving in traffic as I was coming to a stop at an intersection. The door violently flew open as the vehicle was still moving. Had there been someone standing or walking in the median, the door would have hit them. Upon stopping I attempted to secure the door but it will not secure and just stays open. It will be required to again pay to repair this major safety issue. I believe this safety issue should be covered under the current recall for the same model vehicles in this year. I am concerned that after repair this issue will occur again and could cause a major accident or great bodily harm.
Vehicle won’t start so I called my roadside/towing assistant number got someone out to do battery jump service because I been through this before twice come to find out that wasn’t the issue might needed more gas still wasn’t the issue so I got the vehicle towed to a shop it came back I needed the dealership to reprogram the vehicle they couldn’t because it wasn’t drivable so I got it towed to another shop just for them to tell me I need a new engine they didn’t know what cause the problem but just off what they seen while doing a diagnostic was low compression on all cylinders oil full and normal color (not brunt) coolant is full and clean warranty doesn’t want to cover parts that’s needed for the vehicle like cylinder head gasket check engine light always came on after repairs was fixed

My back-up camera only half works. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. My car also doesn’t alert me to when I’m getting too close to another vehicle when I backing into a parking spot. Also, the Bluetooth in my car has not worked or even connect to my phone since I first bought that car, and for this car to not even be 10 years old yet, this is ridiculous. Everyone I know has been having very similar issues. Y’all need to get it together. Is there anyway this issue can be looked into as well please? It’s be really nice to get to use all of my features I pay for. Love the car, hate this electrical bs. 🙄
Driver door opened while driving. Door latch will not secure. Remains open. There is a recall for same type of vehicle year make and model. 20S15 is the recall number.
A year ago (2022), the passenger door latch failed for unknown reasons out of the blue. The door simply would not close. At the shop, the technician mentioned that it had mechanically and electrically failed and the door would not latch. A year later (2023), The issue is reoccuring; same (passenger) door and driver door both suddenly will not latch making the car inoperable due to safety risks. Upon research, it seems this issue is common to specific Ford models. Re: Ford Fusion Hybrid/Energi Recall Campaign # 20S15/20V177, there is an outstanding recall for certain VIN numbers but Ford refuses to cover my issue despite clear safety concern.
The doors come open and will not latch back. They come open while driving. This has happened a few times, the doors currently will not shut properly.
Our camera cuts in and out. We took it to Ford initially to run a diagnostic but they killed our battery doing the test and never finished. Now the camera is showing things opposite..our mailbox is on our right backing out but camea shows left. Same when a car pulled to our right but camera showed left and caused us a scare. Completely unreliable. It cuts off/on constantly when using it to back out and sometimes doesn't beep.
The passenger side door latch won't latch or move into the locked position. We can't have anyone sitting the front seat because the door won't close completely. No warning lights or anything came on to indicate this would fail.

Service Advanve Trac light comes on, ABS light, Air bag light, brake malfunction, the turn signals stop working and steering because a little tight, was on the high and this happen and delayed decrease in speed, turn signal available, almost caused major accident get of on an exit with no turn signal functions, this has to stop.
I've noticed that coolant is leaking from somewhere in the vehicle. There's no obvious drips. I went online to see if anyone else had this issue with the specific model car and it seems as if quite a few people have had this issue. And from what I saw most people said the coolant is leaking into their cylinders. It was actually suggested that I come to this site and make this issue known because a recall is in order if that is the case. Also the recall that was listed for this vehicle before this page was never addressed or fixed on my vehicle. I would like to know how to go about getting it done.
This past July my front passenger door would not latch, I was unable to close and secure the door. I called San Tan Ford, and they initially said this was a known problem with my make and model and that there was a recall on the door latches. When I went down to have the repair I was told that my particular car was not included in this recall, even though they agreed I had the exact door latch failure. I went ahead and had the door latches repaired at my own cost since I had no way to keep my door closed and locked. Would like to be reimbursed for this cost $828.63 and need to be sure that anyone else who has my make and model of car be aware of this being a problem for them as well. If you are not able to help, would appreciate being directed to someone who could. Thank you
Trunk will just randomly open. Parked with no keys in it. Also when driving down the road.
While driving on the road the trunk opens up by itself. The Ford dealership continues to be unable to fix the issue and it has happened several times.

While picking up my daughter from the ER last night, the door latch on the drivers side would not latch and close. This happened without notice. This is definitely a safety hazard to me and others on the road. We had to tie an old scarf on the door handle while the person on the passenger side pulled as tight as they could to keep the door closed. Although I saw that some 2016 Ford Fusions had Recalls for door latch/lock but unfortunately the Ford dealership and Ford motor company said that my car didn’t have a recall. Fortunately for us we were still in ER parking lot when this happened. Ford knows that the Fusions has had problems with the latch and lock mechanism on the doors and they should honor that! This is my only reliable transportation and both my husband and daughter are disabled and we rely on our(car)Ford Fusion for doctors appointments and I have to take my 11 year old granddaughter to and from school. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter.
Recall notice 22S43 / NHTSA Recall 22 V413 Car rolls when in park with brake on. Now my car won’t start at all. I don’t know if they are related. I need to know because I can’t waste any money if I don’t have to.
Approximately 3 weeks ago my teenage driver called me at work to inform me that his display was "black" and he had no radio. When asked to provide more details, he said that the display screen in the care, which is a touchscreen that is divided into 4 sections (phone, navigation, climate, radio) was not functioning like intended. This screen also displays the backup view when in reverse. He also stated that there is no radio, his phone does not connect via Bluetooth as it did previously to allow for hands-free driving. My son said the screen was functioning as intended when he parked his car for the night, but upon starting the next day it was black- no warning or other symptoms of this problem. We had the car evaluated at the Ford dealership and told it could be two things, but unsure which-tech said have to fix one first and if that doesn't work then the other. APIM failure is one of the two potential problems. My son is a teenage driver, the lack of Bluetooth connectivity and the safety net of the backup display poses a risk for (1) driving distraction related to inability for hands-free driving (2) backup rearview display and additional alerts while car is in reverse malfunctioning increasing the likelihood of collision when in reverse. Ford has known issues with APIMs in various 2017 and newer makes/models.
The OEM lug nuts that Ford supplies are a 2 piece construction that swells and makes it impossible to change a tire on the side of the road because you have to pound the lug wrench to get it to go on. Ford knows about the problem and will not replace them. A set of 20 lug nuts cost over $200. The dealership told me they need replace so they can rotate my tires the next time I bring it in.
I received a letter that there was a recall on my car but that the vehicle was still drivable, so I continued to drive my car as normal. My daughter drove to her friend house where she simply put the car in park, not even turning off the engine, and 5 minutes later when she attempted to put the car in drive the car would not shift. There were no indicators on the dash that indicated what the problem was. This happened at 10:05pm. The car was parked in the middle of a circle in a housing complex. Around 12:03, after not being able to get a tow from anywhere else, we decided to start the online process of dispatching a tow through the Ford website. There were no tow trucks available at the time so my daughter decided to sit with the car until a tow truck was available to insure the car wouldn’t roll off and hit another vehicle. Around 2:27am my daughter woke up to people breaking into cars in the circle. (A police report will be later provided.) THANKFULLY she seen them before they seen her and was able to scare them off without getting hurt. Around 4:31am she received a call from Ford stating that a tow service will be provided due to the recall and that FORD will reimburse for the tow service. (This call was stated as being recorded so there should be evidence on FORD in of this) The original ETA was giving at 5:17am for 180-210 minutes. A tow truck did not come until 10:07. Leaving my daughter stranded in a clear unsafe situation for about 12 hours. It was NEVER suggested by the Ford representative or the website that i will have to get my car towed to the Dealership. After speaking to someone at the Dealership and the Customer Service Relation department i was told not only was it our fault for not getting the vehicle told to the Dealership but i will not be reimbursed for the previous tow (like i was told) but i will have to pay to get another tow to the Dealership. I was also told that they will not be able to provide me with a loan car until OCTOBER!
I bought a vehicle “as is” and the bumper keeps falling off. I went to go get it fixed a few different times and the last time I went to a mechanic and he told me not to order the parts that were necessary to fix the vehicle because it was a safety hazard to even drive around in it and can be deadly to anyone sitting in the back seat and that’s very unfortunate considering the fact that I always have my nieces and nephew with me. He also proceeded to say that the guy that sold me the vehicle should have never sold it to me or anyone for that matter. The guy that sold it to me refuses to refund me or replace the vehicle. I’ve been experiencing real bad anxiety since knowing that I’m riding in a safety hazardous vehicle. All I would like at this point is a refund because I’ve tried to go about this in a nice manner and the guy doesn’t even respond back to me anymore!
Recall on the shift cable caused my vehicle to completely stop working/ moving while I was out with my son. No notification was ever giving to me in regards to this problem. This has caused so many issues, specially not given a rental car to be able to to move around. My vehicle is not drivable all because of a recall from Ford company. Ford refuses to provide a rental or any assistance. Being a single mother, Making it hard for me to go to work or even see my kids.
Upon start up of the vehicle the vehicle sputtered . I would give it some gas and then a large grey cloud of smoke come out the exhaust.
After owning this fusion my dashboard is severely warping I’m assuming due to outside summer temperatures. It’s caused it to warp in a way that my windshield defroster is lacking to clear my windshield of any condensation, my HUD collision warning light and passenger airbag light are not being visible at all times when driving.
The APAM system which controls the blue tooth speaker phone access has quit functioning and FORD offers no solution. This is a safety hazard since several states have outlawed holding a cell phone for calls. A vehicle this age should not have experienced this type of failure and the cost of repair is rather large.
When we put the car into reverse there are times the transmission jerks a bit.
Automatic Trans Shift Cable. I put my car into reverse and was backing up- I then shifted into drive and my car started rolling backwards still. I had to slam on my brakes and use my braking brake to stop my car from rolling backward. This was very dangerous and it scared me!
The bushing that attaches the transmission shifter cable to the transmission has degraded causing the bushing to detach from the transmission.
While in motion, the trunk of this vehicle pops open randomly roughly once a week. It completely unlatches while the vehicle is locked and gives an alert that the trunk is open.
While I am driving, the "Service AdvanceTrac" light comes on and flashes between these two error messages: "Hillside Start Assist Not Available" "Check Rear Park Aid" While these lights are flashing, the ABS light, airbag light, and the stability control light all come on and stay on, as well as the power steering goes out. This happens at random times, driving on expressways, in local stop and go traffic. In addition, the times the lights are not blinking and power steering is out, the brake pulses when you use it as if the ABS system was triggered- but for no reason. The road is fine, driving conditions are perfect--- no reason at all for it to happen. I bought the car from Dana Ford in August 2020 and brought it in over 6 times for this problem. Dana Ford had my car for well over 6 of the first 9 months I had it, and it was never fixed while under warranty. They claimed when they took it on a test drive, there was no problem, even though they told me they can see all the error messages the car gives on their computers and even though I have many many pictures and videos of the problem. I"m driving around with kids in the car, and my steering goes out, and if that isnt happening, my brakes are pulsing and skipping. Dana Ford jerked me around until my warranty was up---never fixing it.

I was driving on the highway and as I was making a turn on an off-ramp, my passenger side door swung open and almost hit a person on a bike. I immediately pulled over to check on the young man. As I tried to secure the door, it appears the door will not latch and secure itself. The door was latched and secured. I had no warning lights or notifications. The door latch just gave way and stopped working.
While driving to get into an Interstate Highway, the car key was tapped and suddenly the car engine shut off, panel blacked out and showed a message “ Transmission not in park”. Tried to accelerate and was not able since car was already moving I had enough acceleration to pull over if not probably i would cause an accident.
Driver side safety door lock latch gave out and door does not close to lock. Door opened in the middle of traffic. Used a rope to tie door closed in inside but door ajar light comes on still. Will not lock closed. They have recalls on this same problem just not my vehicle even though it’s the same part. Safety Rear left cross traffic sensor just gave out and flashes code on dash now. Will not sense vehicle approaching on drivers side now as well.
During a tire repair at COSTCO (12/15/21) and a tire rotation at Big O Tires (1/24/22), all the lug nuts were difficult to remove and showed damage/warping. I had to purchase replacements for safety and future removal ability. I have the receipts and both dealers can be contacted for corroboration.

There was a recall for the bushing on the shifter cable for 2013 - 2016 Fusions with a 2.5L engine under recall number 19S15. My vehicle is a 1.5L engine and this bushing failed Thursday 10/28/2021. I never found the part to see how it failed. My wife tried to put the vehicle into park and heard a noise and the shifter went into park but the transmission did not (due to the cable not being attached). I was able to diagnose the issue after a while. I called the Ford dealer I use and they advised that the recall had been addressed. I later found out that this was not the case as the part was not recalled on my car. I was able to replace the bushing but feel this is a huge issue with all of these bushings. The part number is DG9Z 7K340A and is $1.17.
The contact's son owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while her son was reversing into a parking spot to park the vehicle, the gear shifter would not move and remained stuck in reverse. The contact did not know whether there was a warning light illuminated. The contact stated that her son was able to move the gear shifter to park, then to drive with assistance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the shifter cable bushing had failed and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that they could not cover the repair since the VIN was not included in a recall. A case was opened. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 65,200.

I was driving in the freeway, and then suddenly a red alert message popped in my speedometer saying to stop, and I couldn’t accelerate no more. At the time I was going 70mph and then the message appeared and I could accelerate no more, the car didn’t recognize the pedal. It happened yesterday. I never had that happened to me. Rear door will close completely but the latch will not hold the door closed. It reopens when you step away.
My climate control does not work Radio volume does not work and windows are locked unfortunately I roll down my windows when this happened and now they’re stuck open this has been occurring off and on I know this is happening to others as well something needs to be done.For all I know my airbags and we’re not working is this malfunction
After backing into the road to leave a driveway I shifted the gear shift down into the drive position but the transmission only shifted to neutral. The car would not shift into drive or reverse and had to be pushed out of the road. With my car in the road I had to get out and wave other vehicles around my vehicle while calling for assistance to get my vehicle out of the road. My attempt to keep other vehicles from hitting my car, or hitting me while it was unable to be driven off the road to safety. After getting my car to a Ford dealership I was informed that a bushing had deteriorated on the shifter cable causing it to detach from the transmission. When I look this problem up online it says there is a recall for Ford Fusions manufactured at the Hermosillo plant between Feb. 9, 2012 and April 4, 2016. My car was manufactured at the Hermosillo plant in January of 2016 but my VIN is not included in this recall. I called Ford customer service, but all they can say is my car isn't included in the recall and they are unwilling or unable to provide with the the details that would exclude my vehicle. I would like to file this as a complaint that this vehicle should be covered under the recall and requests the specifics of the recall so that I might understand why my vehicle is not included. It is the right year, make, model... made at the assembly plant included and has the very specific problem for which the vehicles were recalled.
The transmission shifter bushing is made of plastic, degraded and broke off. Please look at other Ford Fusion trims from 2013-2016. Ford posted this as a recall for some trims but for some reason not for my vin but it’s the same crap design.
We purchased a used 2016 Ford Fusion with about 11,000 miles on it. Within the first 2 weeks we started having issues. These issues have been going on for several years with no fix from Ford. The issues involve the dash not working, no heat, AC, no power steering, no break lights, no headlights, no turn signals. We go to start the car and the main screen never turns on. Basically we have the ability to use the gas and brake and nothing else. We’ve had the car back to the dealership multiple times. Each time they’ve hooked the computer up to the car they’ve said it throws so many codes they don’t know where to start. They wipe the codes, give us the car back and say if it does it agin bring it back. Well we did just that and the usual process repeated. They told us today they couldn’t fix what was wrong unless the problem happened while they’re driving it. 2 times now I’ve narrowly avoided an accident because of the cars electrical system dying while driving it. This car is unsafe to drive as this happens randomly. Ford has been less than helpful at resolving this issue since we’ve bought the car. We’ve got several warranties on this car and it seems to be all for nothing. We also have video and picture proof of these incidents. Ford refuses to look at them stating they need the vehicle to do it while they’re driving it after the massive amounts of codes are cleared.

I'VE HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS NOW. FIRST THE SEATS STOPPED MOVING BACK AND FORTH. NO WARRANTY ON THE CAR SO TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL FORD AND THEY SAID IT WAS OFF ITS TRACK. A MONTH LATER THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AND THEY SAID MY SEAT STOPPED SENDING COMMANDS TO THE COMPUTER. NOW THREE MONTHS LATER MY CAR RANDOMLY STARTED MAKING A LOUD RATTLING NOISE. GOT LOUDER EVERY TIME I STARTED THE CAR. SO ONCE AGAIN TOOK IT TO MY NEARBY FORD. THEY CHECKED IT OUT AND SAID MY FLEX PLATE HAS CRACKED ALL AROUND AND THAT IT WOULD BE A $1600 REPAIR. THIS CAR IS STILL FAIRLY NEW. LOOKED INTO IT AND IT SEEMS A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME EXPERIENCE AND FORD IS AWARE OF THE MALFUNCTION AFTER MANY COMPLAINTS BUT STILL HAS NOT MADE IT A RECALL. VERY UPSETTING THAT I WILL BE WITHOUT A CAR FOR A WEEK AND HAVE TO PAY $1600 JUST TO GET IT FIXED WHEN IT SEEMS TO BE A MASS PROBLEM. THE ACCESSORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE (APIM) FAILS AFTER A FEW YEARS, LEAVING THE CAR PHONE INOPERABLE ON THE SYNC SYSTEM, FORCING THE USER TO MANUALLY DIAL AND PLACE CALLS ON THEIR CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING, WHICH HAS BECOME ILLEGAL IN MANY STATES AS IT TAKES THE DRIVERS EYES OFF THE ROAD FOR PERIODS AT A TIME. THE FORD FUSION ALSO HAS ISSUES WITH LEAKAGE IN THE TRUNK. I WAS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT I WAS THE ONLY ONE, UNTIL SEARCHING THE INTERNET TO FIND THAT VARIOUS FUSION OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, BECAUSE IT MAY START TO AFFECT THE LIGHTS IN THE TRUNK OR ANY OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS THAT RUN THROUGH IT, START TO RUST AREAS IN THE TRUNK, AND CAUSE MOLD IF NOT PROPERLY DRIED IMMEDIATELY.

I WAS ABOUT 1/4 TANK BEFORE REFUELING AND I FILLED MY TANK UNTIL FULL. UPON STARTING MY CAR, I ALWAYS TURN THE KEY RIGHT BEFORE IGNITION AND WAIT FOR THE FUEL PUMPS TO DRAW GAS TO THE MOTOR, THEN START IT. STARTED SEEMINGLY FINE, HOWEVER, WHILE I WAS RESETTING MY MILEAGE TRIP COUNTERS, I NOTICED, AND FELT MY RPM'S DROP DOWN INTO THE 300-400 AREA AND MY MOTOR SHOOK MY CAR. I KIND OF WAS SURPRISED AS MY CAR HAD NEVER DONE THIS, SO I FIGURED MAYBE IT WAS JUST AN ENGINE STUTTER. BUT THEN UPON WAITING A FEW MORE SECONDS, IT DID IT AGAIN, 4 MORE TIMES AND FELT LIKE MY MOTOR WAS READY TO STALL OUT. I WAS STILL PARKED/STATIONARY BESIDE A GAS PUMP SO I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE TO GO PARK MYSELF IN AN ACTUAL SPOT SO I WASN'T IN THE WAY OF OTHER VEHICLES. I KEPT MY CAR RUNNING IN PARK TO SEE IF THE RPM'S WOULD DROP AGAIN, BUT UPON WAITING FIVE MINUTES, IT DID NOT. THE RPM'S WERE A BIT WOBBLY THOUGH ON THE TACHOMETER BUT DID NOT SIGNIFICANTLY DROP. NO LIGHTS ON THE DASH CAME ON. I WASN'T TAKING ANY CHANCES, I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE MY CAR SERVICED. TURNS OUT, MY CANISTER PURGE VALVE WAS STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION. SOUNDS ALL TOO FAMILIAR, ACCOUNTING THAT FORD ISSUED A RECALL FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH MANY FORD FOCUS MODELS, WITH THE EXACT SAME MOTOR. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT CAN RESULT IN CRASH/INJURY OR EVEN DEATH. NO LIGHT CAME ON FOR ME AND I ONLY CAUGHT IT BECAUSE I WAS SUPERSTITIOUS ENOUGH TO BRING IT IN REGARDLESS. THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED, IT IS LITERALLY THE SAME ISSUE AND I'M BAFFLED AS TO HOW HIS HASN'T BEEN MADE INTO A RECALL BY NOW. IT TOOK UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING FOR FORD TO HELP WITH TOWING, I WAS TOLD I WAS OUT OF LUCK BASICALLY BECAUSE OF OTHER WRECKS. I THEN HAD A TOWING BILL TO PAY FOR. I ALSO HAVE A BILL FOR REPAIRS THAT I HAVE REFUSED TO PAY BECAUSE OF THE RECALL (THEY SAID MY CAR WAS NOT ON THE LIST, ONE MECHANIC SAYS HE KNOWS MINE SHOULD BE BECAUSE THIS IS A HUGE KNOWN ISSUE). I CALLED THE HOTLINE AND DID NOT GET ANYWHERE, THEY WERE RUDE. I WAS ADVISED IF THIS HIT THE RECALL LIST, THEN I WOULD BE REIMBURSED. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO THIS AND STILL, WHEN YOU TOUCH THE BRAKES, THERE IS A NOISE IN THE SHIFTER, WHICH HAS BEEN REPAIRED A FEW TIMES, THEN I'M TOLD THERE IS NO PERMANENT FIX FOR IT, IT WILL KEEP DOING THIS AFTER EVERY REPAIR. WHY? I FEEL UNSAFE FOR MY CHILDREN AND MYSELF IN THIS CAR, GRANTED I LOVE THE FORD FUSION COMFORT AND HOW IT RIDES SMOOTH. THERE ARE 2 RECALLS ON MY CAR THE MILEAGE IS 59000 AND THE SHIFTER CABLE IS THE PROBLEM RIGHT NOW THERE IS ALSO A RECALL ON THE STEERING WHEEL. APPARENTLY THE WHOLE [XXX] THING CAN FALL OFF WHILE DRIVING....THE ONLY WAY I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE SHIFTER CABLE IS BECAUSE MINE BROKE...NO NOTICE WAS SENT OUT AND THE REASON FOR IT AND THAT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVENT CREATED A STUPID BUSHING THAT WONT BREAK, THE SHIFTER IS IN PARK BUT THE TRANSMISSION IS IN NEUTRAL....I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED HOME. THEN THE FORD CORPORATE OFFICE TOLD ME OF THE RECALL...THEY ALSO SAID THERE IS NO PART ISSUED YET EVEN THO ALL 2013 TO 2017 MODELS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. FORD TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY NOTHING BECAUSE IT'S A RECALL. I TOOK MY CAR TO LITHIA FORD IN FRESNO CA BECAUSE CORPORATE INSTRUCTED ME TO TAKE IT THERE AND THAT WAS WHEN THEY TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $580 OUT OF POCKET AND WILL GET REIMBURSED WHEN FORD ISSUES THE RIGHT PART...ITS BEEN OVER 4 YEARS AND THEY STILL HAVENT ISSUED THE RIGHT PART SO HOW LONG WILL IT BE TILL I GET MY MONEY BACK?!?! IF I GET MY MONEY BACK, FOR A PROBLEM THAT IS NOWHERE NEAR MY FAULT, LITHIA CAN FIX IT NOW BUT WITH THE SAME PART THAT JUST BROKE. THIS HAPPENED AT THE INTERSECTION OF REDWOOD PKWY AND OAKWOOD IN VALLEJO CA. THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS. I PUT THE CAR ON PARK ?P? TURNED OFF THE IGNITION AND SET THE E-BREAK WITH MY LIGHTS HAZARD ON. I HAD TO CALL 911 TO AVOID ACCIDENT. THEY SENT A POLICE PATROL TO ESCORT ME WHILE MY CAR IS BLOCKING THE TRAFFIC. YOU SEE MY CAR WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW AND ONLY HAVE LESS THAN 5K MILEAGE. THIS KIND OF PROBLEM SHOULD NOT HAPPENED. I GOOGLED 2016 FUSION TO SEE COMMON PROBLEMS AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM. YOUR COMPANY MUST BE AWARE OF THIS, YET, IT CONTINUE TO HAPPEN. CAR HAS BROKEN DOWN 3 TIMES AND HAS ONLY 38000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A CAR FOR A MONTH BECAUSE FORD CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. FIRST TIME IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH THEY REPLACED. SECOND TIME THEY TRIED TO SAY THAT THE PART WAS BAD SO THEY REPLACED IT AGAIN. IT IS AGAIN IN THE SHOP UNDERGOING DIAGNOSIS. IT HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED/LOST ACCELERATION AND TURNED OFF COMPLETELY THREE SEPARATE TIMES ALL WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. FORD CONSUMER AFFAIRS IS NOT ADDRESSING THE SITUATION AT ALL. SIMILAR TO ISSUES OTHERS WERE HAVING WITH THE THROTTLE CONTROL PLACING THE CAR INTO "LIMP" MODE, IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY AS MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE CAR ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY NEAR PITTSBURGH (376 WEST, NEAR THE SPLIT OF 79 NORTH/SOUTH) WITH ME IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, AND THREE KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 9 IN THE BACK SEAT. WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR SEEMINGLY SHUT OFF OR "THROTTLED DOWN" AND BEGAN TO SHIMMY AND SHAKE, LOSING MOST OF ITS FUNCTIONALITY. WE WERE FORCED TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WHICH WE BARELY DID, WITH VEHICLES SPEEDING PAST AT 4 LANE HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE FOLLOWING DAY, I CONTACTED FORD AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION BUT WAS NOT TOLD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SYSTEMIC ISSUE. IT WAS NOT UNTIL I DISCOVERED THE ISSUE ON MY OWN, THAT I LEARNED ABOUT THE FACT THAT FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY CONTROL BUT INSTEAD A "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM" WHICH WAS NOT COMMUNICATED TO ME, TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, UNTIL AFTER WE NEARLY LOST OUR LIVES AND I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED. THIS ISSUE IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED (IF IT HAS NOT ALREADY HAPPENED) AND IT WOULD APPEAR THAT FORD FAILS TO APPRECIATE IT. MY VEHICLE HAS JUST OVER 18,000 MILES ON IT. I OWN 2 FORD VEHICLES BUT WON'T BE BUYING ANOTHER.

ON NOVEMBER 25, 2016 AT APPROXIMATELY 5:00 PM, MY SON OPENED THE DOOR WITH A DEFECTIVE CHILD SAFETY LOCK WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY IN MARYLAND. AFTER WE QUICKLY PULLED OVER, WE WERE UNABLE TO CLOSE THE DOOR AS THERE WAS A METAL PIECE BLOCKING THE CLOSING MECHANISM. WE CALLED EMERGENCY ROAD SIDE SERVICES AT 5:20 PM AND WAS TOLD A TOW TRUCK WOULD BRING US ANOTHER CAR WITH AN ETA OF 8:27 PM. FOUR CALLS WERE MADE UP TO 10:41PM TO FIND OUT WHEN THE TRUCK WOULD ARRIVE. WE WERE CONSISTENTLY TOLD THERE WAS A DELAY DUE TO HOLIDAY TRAFFIC. THE NEXT MORNING AT 8:03 AM, ANOTHER CALL WAS MADE TO DETERMINE THE STATUS OF THE ISSUE. WE WERE TOLD THE FASTEST WAY TO GET A CAR WOULD BE TO GO TO THE LOCAL BUDGET RENTAL LOCATION BUT WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT GIVE US A CAR BECAUSE THE COMPUTERS WERE DOWN. AFTER MULTIPLE ADDITIONAL CALLS , THE SERVICE PROMISED TO BRING A CAR THAT AFTERNOON. FINALLY, 21 HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL CALL, A REPLACEMENT CAR WAS DELIVERED AND THE FORD FUSION WITH THE DEFECTIVE CHILD SAFETY LOCK WAS RETURNED. THIS WAS NOT ONLY A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR MY FAMILY, WE LOST A DAY PLANNED WITH FAMILY FOR THE HOLIDAY. AS A FORMER BUSINESS TRAVELER OF 11 YEARS, THIS WAS THE WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND FOR THE TIME, DISTRESS, AND FRUSTRATION THIS CAUSED MYSELF AND DAILY. I WAS DRIVING A FEW WEEKS AFTER THAT OCCURRENCE IN THE CITY AND THE CAR MADE A REVING UP NOISE AND I THOUGHT WHO CAR IS THAT I CONTINUED TO DRIVE AND NOTICED IT WAS MY CAR MAKING THE NOISE AND THE SPEED WOULD NOT ACCELERATE SO I HAD TO QUICKLY HIT MY FLASHERS SO THE CARS BEHIND ME WOULD KNOW MY CAR HAD STALLED. THIS SAME SCENARIO HAS HAPPENED TO ME ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND ONCE TAKEN TO THE DEALER THEY CAN NOT ASSIST ME. I HAVE NOT MADE THE FIRST CAR PAYMENT AND THIS CAR ALREADY GIVING MY PROBLEMS. I RESEARCHED THE CAR AND NOTICED CUSTOMERS HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR YEARS NOW AND FORD REFUSE TO RECALL WHAT SEEMS TO BE A THROTTLE ISSUE AND THE CAR STALLS OUT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
