I GOT INTO A WRECK WITH A VEHICLE THAT PAST A STOP SIGN HITTING ME AT 120MPH. THE AIRBAG IN THE DRIVERS SEAT EXPLODED IMMEDIATELY. I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS NOTICES ABOUT THIS RECALL,HOWEVER I CAN NOT GET A FORD DEALER TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG, THERE ALWAYS BACKED UP OR THE DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS, THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR, I WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR BY FORD MOTOR CO. ON JULY 2015, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD FOR THE "FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR HOUSING". IT TOLD ME THAT FORD WOULD SEND ME A SECOND NOTICE WHEN PARTS WHERE AVAILABLE SINCE THIS WAS SUPPOSEDLY A VERY WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM. ON JUNE 2016, I RECEIVE THIS SECOND NOTICE STATING THAT PARTS WERE READY AND TO "CALL MY DEALER WITHOUT DELAY AND REQUEST SERVICE". I DID THIS IMMEDIATELY. I WAS TOLD BY PARR FORD THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHERE I GOT THE LETTER FROM BUT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY WOULD ORDER THEM AND CALL ME WHEN THEY CAME IN. IT IS NOW AUGUST 2016 AND ACCORDING TO THEM, THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS THAT THEY SAID THEY WERE ORDERING BACK IN JUNE. IF FORD WAS NOT GOING TO PROVIDE THEIR DEALERSHIPS WITH THE PARTS, THEN WHY WOULD THEY HAVE SENT ME A LETTER SAYING THAT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. I BELIEVE THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT WILLING TO PERFORM THE RECALL NOTICE AND THEY ARE THE ONLY FORD DEALERSHIP IN A 50 MILE RADIUS. EITHER THAT OR FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS SENDING OUT FALSE INFORMATION IN THEIR RECALL NOTICES.

I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2015 FROM FORD REGARDING SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S21/ NHTSA RECALL 15V-319 AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A NOTICE FROM FORD WHEN THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE SO I COULD SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL OUR FORD DEALER HAS INFORMED US THAT PARTS WON'T BE AVAILABLE FOR THIS RECALL UNTIL FALL 2016 AT THE EARLIEST.
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED WRITTEN NOTICE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL IN JULY OF 2015 FOR THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG. ACCORDING TO THE WRITTEN NOTICE, NO ACTION WAS REQUIRED ON MY PART AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. IN MARCH OF 2016, I RECEIVED WRITTEN NOTICE THAT MY SUBARU ALSO HAD A TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG. THE WRITTEN NOTICE SAID NO ONE SHOULD USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. CURIOUSLY, NO SUCH WARNING WAS GIVEN FOR MY FORD MUSTANG. I ASSUME IT IS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE TO BE PARKED UNTIL IT WAS FIXED. IT IS NOW APRIL 2016, I E-MAILED FORD YESTERDAY AS I HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTICE THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO FIX MY VEHICLE. FORD RESPONDED THAT THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE 9 MONTHS LATER!!! HOWEVER, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IN MY SUBARU WAS FIXED YESTERDAY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE THAT PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE 9 MONTHS LATER. I DO NOT HAVE THE LUXURY OF SIDELINING MY FORD MUSTANG UNTIL THE PARTS ARE RECEIVED AS MY WIFE USES THE SUBARU DAILY SO I'M DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT MAY KILL ME IF I'M INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE CAR WAS IN THE FORD SERVICE SHOP GETTING THE TRANSMISSION CHECKED BEFORE THE WORK WAS DONE ON THE CAR TO FIX THE REAR BUMPER. (THE TRANSMISSION HAD AN ISSUE BEFORE THE WRECK). ON JULY 24 AROUND 930 PM MY PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG DEPLOYED ON MY PASSENGER WITH 0 IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN BROUGHT TO THE SERVICE TO HAVE THE TRANNY CHECKED FOR THE SECOND TIME AND I MENTIONED THIS AIRBAG PROBLEM AT THE TIME I CAME IN FOR THE SERVICE APPT. ( THE NIGHT OF THE INCIDENT I HAD THE POLICE FILE A REPORT AND I HAVE A FILE NUMBER FOR THIS, AFTER THE FILE WAS FILED, I CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE FOR THE DEALERSHIP STATING THIS HAPPENED) . FORD, SINCE HAS SAID THAT TO CONTACT MY INSURANCE COMPANY BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING FURTHER THEY CAN DO. I HAVE AN ADJUSTER DUE TO LAFAYETTE FORD IN FAYETTEVILLE, NC ON THE 4TH OF AUG.
