The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that before making a left turn the contact switched on the left turn light signal; however, upon making the left turn the contact noticed that the left turn signal on the instrument panel was flashing twice as fast as normal. The contact pulled over to inspect the vehicle. The contact became aware that the taillights were inoperable; however, after restarting the vehicle, the taillights became operable. The following day the contact drove to a local dealer where the vehicle was inspected; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The contact was made aware of SSM: 10144218 and linked it to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 82,000.

There is a break pedal pad that is broken. It doesn't allow the car to accelerate correctly and car goes in limp mode. All break lights are illuminated when car is turned off. There is a recall for this, but I purchased my car in CA. I think the car was originally a Nevada car. Am I still eligible for the recall even if I didn't get the notification and my state of purchase was not mentioned?
The brake pedal stop bumper in my car disintegrated in the middle of the day and fell off. The brake lights do not turn off anymore and the vehicle can be started and shifted without needing to press the brake. I found a recall # 22S02 for this exact issue but my vehicle is not covered by it (assuming due to region). The vehicle has not been inspected yet.
A plastic clip ("Brake Pedal Bumper") broke and fell out of place, causing the brake pedal to no longer reach the brake light switch. The brake lights now remain illuminated permanently, even with the brakes released. This also caused the engine and transmission to go into "limp mode", the engine no longer revving over 2,000 RPM, the transmission not shifting, and hill-start assist and traction control no longer working, making the car unsafe to drive. The brake lights will remain on even when the car is completely shut off and locked, draining and damaging the battery. It is my understanding that this is a known issue, and there was a recall for this in certain states. (Safety Recall 22S02, Regional Recall 22R01). There should be a national recall for this, as the affected part appears to be of low quality, and causes safety issues when it fails, with the car's drivability and lighting affected.
Third tail light and rear tail lights remained illuminated after the car was turned off. Driver discovered the brake light switch (rubber/plastic piece) had crumbled into the floor board preventing the tail lights from turning off, thus, becoming a hazard to other motorists on the road as the tail lights remained illuminated even while driving. While the vehicle was being driven, the driver could not accelerate to the appropriate speeds as the car was "thinking" the brakes were being applied and could only approximately drive at 40-50 MPH. The vehicle has been inspected and the above information was confirmed as the issue. No other warnings/messages occurred prior to the piece breaking.
My break light switch pad is broken and is causing the car to not maintain speed and sluggish acceleration. I have seen other drivers report the same failure with their cars.
While on vacation (my car was at home) a piece in my brakes broke and caused my break lights to be on constantly. When I tried starting my car the battery was dead. The break likes being on like they were ended up causing my battery to corrode by time I got home from the continuous energy drain. I was able to jumpstart my car but when I went to put my car in drive the vehicle would not accelerate over pretty much idling. When I got my car towed to the dealership (Gary Yeoman's) they told me the break bumper disintegrated and caused my break lights to be on and a vehicle acceleration override to be engaged.
Traveling on highway using cruise control at posted speed limit. Approached slowdown due to accident and applied brakes. Accelerated to limit (manually) after passing accident. I was in middle lane. Vehicle abruptly began to decelerate. Continuous pressure on gas pedal did not increase speed, so I put on hazards and moved to slow lane. No failures on dashboard and quick scan through gages did not identify an issue. Re-applied pressure to gas pedal wanting to get to next exit. Car sped up, but when approaching 50 mph, it decreased again. Found that pumping gas would allow me to maintain highway speed. Pulled into truck stop at exit and turned car off. Message on console "Hill start assist not available". Let vehicle rest 15 minutes, added gas. Quick web search seemed to point to problem with ABS sensor. Seemed to drive ok in parking lot and road leading to highway ramp. Decided to try to get closer to home. Problem occurs immediately after climbing to 50 mph. Cruise control won't work. By carefully monitoring speed and pumping gas into overdrive when needed, I was able to get home. Could not get appointment with dealership until late afternoon next day. Hill start assist message comes on again when stopping. After arriving home and parking in garage I went inside for about 30 minutes. Needed to unload items from car and went back to garage noticing that the strip of lights above trunk are still on. Got back in car, started it (got hill assist message), turned lights on/off and turned off car. Now my rear brake lights are also on. I had seen a post about this, so unhooked battery to prevent drain. Next morning, reattached battery and had same problem. Brake light switch pad broke , So the car thinks the brakes are on so it goes into "limp mode" and it starts turning off assist modes.
The issue is the Brake Light switch stop pad on the brake pedal which is a rubber type of plug. At 70,000 miles the brake light switch stop pad cracked and fell into floor board (see pictures). When that happened, the RPMs dropped to idle speed and the car slowed down. After a few seconds, the car would pick up speed again only to repeat the event over and over again. I understand that when the brake light switch stop pad is missing and the plunger on the switch is fully out, the car thinks that you are applying the brakes. I was lucky, I was on a two lane road with no traffic, but I was headed to an inter-state with heavy traffic. Ford (nor does anyone else) does not sell just the rubber plug which fits on the brake pedal, but it will sell the complete brake pedal assembly. Not sure the reason that the brake pedal would require the hole that requires the rubber plug, but think that Ford should be responsible for the replacement or a better solution for the repair (Provide a replacement plug, not just the complete Brake pedal assembly. Brake pedal pad failed, causing car to suddenly brake even though brakes were not being applied. Ford Dealership recommended replacing brake light switch assembly. Brake lights stayed on even after the car was turned off. Had to disconnect the battery to prevent drain.
I'm on highway going 70mph and all the sudden my car slows down drastically to about 35mph and won't accelerate any higher. I almost caused an accident. After I got home I also noticed my brake lights would not go off, even after the car was off for a bit. I had to undo the battery.
While driving and pressing on accelerator pedal car slows down without pressing the gas as if the car is about to turn off. This is a very dangerous hazard as I am in the middle of a highway which can cause an accident if it does turn ofd. I noticed that the brake lights are on 24 hours a day whether the vehicle is off or on , this could be the issue, something is either jammed in the engine system or the brakes sensors are messed up and are not telling the rest of the car that the car is on and moving. There is no messages that are telling me inside the mustang that something is wrong with my car . I have had my car 6 years and this is the first time I see this happening.
Plastic clip for brake light switch disintegrates over time, causing reduced power and inoperative brake lights.
The brake light switch function was inhibited due to the plastic retainer mounted on the pedal assembly. The plastic retainer had become brittle and caused it to come apart in pieces. The retainer acts a point of contact for the brake light switch plunger which signals to the ECM when the driver is applying or not applying the brakes. Symptoms of failure are constant illumination of rear brake lights with vehicle on or off. Disables cruise control. Also most importantly it limits throttle control by reducing throttle range spraticly. No driver warnings or lights are displayed or illuminated on the IPC. Problem has been verified and reproduced by independent service center.
A NON-CONDUCTIVE PAD IS INSTALLED BETWEEN THE BRAKE SENSOR SWITCH AND BRAKE ARM. THE PAD BECOMES BRITTLE OVER TIME AND BREAKS ALLOWING THE BRAKE SENSOR TO ENGAGE. THIS CAUSES THE CAR TO GO INTO 'LIMP' MODE WHICH CAN OCCUR WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAYS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE IT OCCURS RANDOMLY AND CAN HAPPEN AT HIGH SPEEDS.

MY BATTERY DIED AND REQUIRED A JUMP THE NEXT MORNING. WHEN I BEGAN DRIVING, THE CAR WAS THROTTLING DOWN AS I WAS ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE AS IF THE ENGINE WAS LOSING POWER. I DIDN'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING SO I RETURNED HOME AND NOTICE THAT MY REAR LIGHTS INCLUDING THE BRAKE LIGHT STAYED ILLUMINATED EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF. I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY IN ORDER TO SAVE MY BATTERY FROM DRAINING AGAIN. AFTER SOME INVESTIGATING I FOUND THE BRAKE SWITCH PAD WAS BROKEN AND THIS IS WHAT WAS CAUSING THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO BE ON ALL THE TIME AND CAUSING THE LACK OF ENGINE POWER. THIS ISSUE WAS NOT ALLOWING THE CAR TO ACCELERATE BECAUSE THE THROTTLE IS OVER-RIDDEN BY THE BRAKES. THE CAR WAS THINKING THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS BEING PUSHED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE GAS PEDAL. THE BRAKE SWITCH PAD BREAKING AND CAUSING THIS PROBLEM IS VERY DANGEROUS. I'M SO LUCKY IT HAPPENED ON A LOCAL ROAD AND NOT THE HIGHWAY. I'VE READ MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER PEOPLE. FORD NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL AND GET THIS FIXED TO AVOID MAJOR ACCIDENTS.

AFTER GETTING THE CAR HOME ALSO NOTICED THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES. THE TWIN PROBLEMS ENDED UP BEING CONNECTED. TURNS OUT THERE IS A SMALL PLASTIC/CERAMIC PIECE IN THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY THAT FAILS AND BREAKS APART WITHOUT WARNING - ALSO NO DASHBOARD WARNINGS AFTER IT FAILS. CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO THINK THE BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED AND CUTS THE POWER IN RESPONSE. THIS HAPPENED WHILE TRAVELING AT INTERSTATE HIGHWAY SPEED AND WAS AN IMMEDIATE SAFETY ISSUE. WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THIS SMALL PART IS VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLORIDA HEAT - UNFORTUNATELY THE WHOLE BRAKE ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE REPLACED.

I NOTICED THIS DEFECT RIGHT AWAY, OTHERWISE THE BATTERY WOULD HAVE GONE DEAD. THE SPECIFIC PART IS NOT AVAILABLE FROM FORS SO THEY WANT YOU TO REPLACE THE WHOLE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY. THE NEW ONE HAS THE SAME DEFECTIVE PART INSTALLED. THIS IS A DANGEROUS DEFECT. IT IS ALSO VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR.

THERE IS A SMALL PAD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL BETWEEN THE PEDAL SHAFT AND THE BRAKE LIGHT ACTIVATION SWITCH. THIS PAD SHATTERED INTO SMALL PARTS CAUSING MY BRAKE LIGHTS TO REMAIN ILLUMINATED EVEN WHEN I WASN'T BRAKING. THERE WAS NO WARNING PROVIDED BY THE CAR THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON. THE LIGHTS WERE ON WHEN DRIVING, WHEN PARKED WITH THE VEHICLE RUNNING OR NOT RUNNING. I BELIEVE IT BROKE WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE BUT I CAN'T BE SURE. THERE ARE MULTIPLE PADS WITHIN THE PEDAL CLUSTER ON THE CLUTCH AND OTHER PEDALS THAT ARE THE SAME PART AND MAY BE PRONE TO FAILURE. BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON EVEN WHEN PEDAL IS NOT DEPRESSED, WHICH CAUSES VARIOUS PERFORMANCE ISSUES DUE TO THE ECU BELIEVING THE BRAKE PEDAL IS BEING DEPRESSED. WHILE DRIVING UP A HILL AND ATTEMPTING TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE, I BRIEFLY LOST ACCELERATION. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN A FEW MINUTES LATER, AND REPEATED A COUPLE MORE TIMES. I HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE BEFORE AND THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS, OR ANY OTHER SIGNS OF MECHANICAL FAILURE. AFTER HAPPENING SEVERAL TIMES, LOSING ACCELERATION INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE GAS, A WARNING MESSAGE DISPLAYED "HILL ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE," AND THEN DISAPPEARED. NO OTHER WARNING MESSAGES OR DASH INDICATORS APPEARED, AND I COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING RELATING TO HILL ASSIST IN MY SETTINGS. AFTER PARKING AND SHUTTING OFF MY CAR, I NOTICED THE BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON- I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN THEM OFF. I SEARCHED ALL OF THESE ISSUES AND FOUND A BLOG POST WRITTEN BY ANOTHER OWNER EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES. THE OTHER OWNER FOUND SMALL FRAGMENTS OF A BROKEN PLASTIC DISC ON THE FLOOR MAT, BELOW THE PETALS- I FOUND THE SAME THING IN MY CAR. I WENT TO A NEARBY AUTO ZONE FOR ASSISTANCE AND WAS ADVISED THE BROKEN PIECE WAS A "BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH PLUNGER." ONE OF THEIR ASSOCIATES QUICKLY INSTALLED A $3.00 REPLACEMENT FOR ME, WHICH SEEMED TO FIX ALL OF THE ISSUES. I HAVE NOT YET TAKEN MY CAR TO FORD, BUT PLAN TO DO SO ASAP. EACH TIME I LOST ACCELERATION I WAS TRAVELING UP A HILL, AND IT WAS ONLY TEMPORARY- WITH NO OTHER SYSTEMS APPEARING TO BE AFFECTED. *TR

I WAS DRIVING ON A TWO WAY ROAD AND SUDDENLY LOST POWER AS I WAS APPROACHING THE 75MPH SECTION FROM 55MPH. THE TRACTOR TRAILER BEHIND ME COULD HAVE REAR ENDED ME IF THEY WEREN'T PAYING ATTENTION. FORTUNATELY, WHEN THE PAD BROKE, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED DESPITE NOT DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. OTHER DRIVERS WERE AWARE THERE WAS A PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY BEFORE I TURNED ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS. WITH THE PAD BROKEN, THE TAIL LIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF EVEN AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN AND THE BUTTON-START IGNITION BYPASSED THE NEED TO DEPRESS THE BRAKES TO START THE ENGINE. IT IS DANGEROUS TO BE ABLE TO START THE ENGINE WITHOUT NEEDING TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES. MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO TROUBLESHOOT SINCE THERE'S NO MIL OR DTC CODES. THIRD PARTY REPLACEMENT PAD COST $2, BUT FORD, APPARENTLY, ONLY SELLS THE WHOLE BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR $200 AND COSTS UP TO $900 TO HAVE IT DONE. PEOPLE HAVE OPTED TO USE ZIP-TIES OR DISC MAGNETS INSTEAD. VEHICLES WITH THIS BRITTLE BRAKE PAD NEED TO HAVE THEM REPLACED ASAP. IT SEEMS '15 VEHICLES ARE FAILING AFTER 3-4 YEARS. THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER AND BYPASSING THE BUTTON-START IGNITION SAFETY FEATURES MAKES THIS A SERIOUS ISSUE. OWNERS WITH THIS ISSUE SEEM TO LIVE IN HOTTER REGIONS LIKE TEXAS OR FLORIDA.

THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN LAST SUMMER. MY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH PAD BROKE INTO PIECES WHILE I WAS TRYING TO MERGE INTO A CITY HIGHWAY FROM A FREEWAY. SUDDENLY I COULD ONLY ACCELERATE FOR 2 SECONDS WHENEVER I STEP ON GAS, AND I ALSO NOTICED MY BRAKE LIGHT NEVER STOPS EVEN AFTER I TURNED MY CAR OFF. I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT AND GOT KILLED. THIS PROBLEM IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AMONG NEW MUSTANG MODELS AFTER 2015. FORD IS NOT DOING ANYTHING, AND THEY WOULD CHARGE YOU $200 FOR THE WHOLE BRAKE ASSEMBLY WHILE I ONLY NEEDED A 50 CENTS PLASTIC PAD. MY DAD IS A CAR MECHANIC, AND HE WAS SURPRISED THAT A CAR IN 2015 WOULD HAVE A SUCH COMMON PROBLEM IN 90S.

CAR ONLY HAS 39000 MILES ON IT!! WINDOW MOTOR, PRESSURE SWITCH AND BRAKE LEVER COST $2000.00 TO REPAIR. REALLY UPSETTING SPEND OVER $30000.00 FOR A AUTOMOBILE THAN WITHIN 39000 MILES AND I NEED TO SPEND THIS KIND OF MONEY.

MY WIFE NOTICE THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE STUCK ONE. TIRED SEVERAL DIFFERENT STEPS TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM COULD BE REMEDIED. SUCH AS STARTING THE CAR, LOCKING UNLOCKING, NOTHING SEEM TO CARE OF THE ISSUE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE ON ONE OF THE MUSTANG FORUMS THERE WERE A FEW PEOPLE THAT HAD THE SAME ISSUE. IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS A LITTLE WHITE PLASTIC BUTTON ON THE BRAKE LEVER THAT DEPRESSES THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. THIS SEEMS TO DRY AND CRACK AND FALL OFF THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY ,SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS. SO INSTEAD OF LETTING THE CAR SET ALL DAY AND DRAIN THE BATTERY I HAD MY WIFE DRIVE THE CAR HOME. ON THE WAY HOME SHE EXPERIENCED A RUNNING ISSUE THE CAR SEEM TO SHUTTER WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 30 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR. FORTUNATELY IT WAS ALL SIDE ROADS ON THE WAY HOME. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE IT COULD'VE BEEN A BIG PROBLEM. FROM WHAT I'VE READ APPARENTLY THE CAR GOES INTO LIMP MODE? SENSING THAT THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN APPLIED? FROM THE RESEARCH THAT I'VE BEEN ABLE TO LOOK INTO THE LITTLE PLASTIC BUTTON WHICH IS PROBABLY ABOUT TWO DOLLARS TO PRODUCE IS NOT AVAILABLE SEPARATE. THE ONLY WAY THAT THIS CAN BE REPLACED IS A BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY WHICH I READ IS APPROXIMATELY $300 PLUS LABOR. SOME PEOPLE ARE PURCHASING A RUBBER CLUTCH PEDAL BUMPER FROM TOYOTA AND PUTTING IN PLACE OF THE PLASTIC ONE FORD HAD. MY MAJOR ISSUE IS THAT IF SHE WAS ON THE INTERSTATE IN THE CAR SLOW DOWN TO 30 MILES AN HOUR WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD'VE HAPPENED. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE CAR DOES NOT RUN PROPERLY WHEN THIS PART FAILS. I'VE BEEN TOLD THE REPLACE PEDAL ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN UPGRADED FROM THE ORIGINAL PART.

THE STOP PEDAL PAD BROK AND THE BRAKE LIGHT WERE ALWAYS ON. THE CAR STOPPED BRAKING AT ALL SUDDENLY! I DID NOT CRASH BECAUSE THE LOSS OF BRAKING HAPPENED WHILE PARKING IN A LOW TRANSIT STREET. FIRTS THERE WAS LOSS OF ACCELERATION RANDOMLY IN A HIGHWAY. I FOUND THE PIECES OF THE BRAKE PEDAL PAD IN THE CAR FLOOR. THIS IS A SEVERE RISK FACTOR FOR CRASH BECAUSE WHEN THE STOP PEDAL PAD BRAKES THE CAR WILL NOT BRAKE SUDDENLY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE ON A BUSY HIGHWAY, THE SPEED WOULD NOT EXCEED MORE THAN 40 MPH AND THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED AT ALL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULLINAX FORD (1210 N LAKE BLVD, LAKE PARK, FL) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A SENSOR IN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS FAULTY AND THE BRAKE PEDAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AND STAYED ON STEADY SO PEOPLE BEHIND COULD NOT TELL WHETHER OR NOT I WAS BRAKING ....WHEN DRIVING CAR WOULD DROP SPEED FOR NO APPARENT REASON LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL OUT. I FOUND SMALL PLASTIC DEBRIE ON FLOOR MAT I GUESS IT WAS A WASHER TYPE THING FROM BRAKE SWITCH BRITTLE AND BROKEN IS PIECES? THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING.

A PLASTIC PAD ATTACHED TO THE BRAKE PEDAL ARM THAT'S REQUIRED IN ORDER FOR THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH TO OPERATE CORRECTLY APPARENTLY DISINTEGRATED. AS A RESULT, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON CONTINUOUSLY. I NOTICED IT WHEN ITHE CAR WAS PARKED AT HOME, BUT DO NOT KNOW WHEN IT HAPPENED.
WHEN DRIVING THE BRAKE STOPLIGHT SWITCH PAD THAT ATTACHES TO THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY FAILS DUE TO IT BEING BRITTLE PLASTIC. THIS CAUSES THE ON BOARD COMPUTERS TO BELIEVE THE BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED AND DRASTICALLY SLOWING THE VEHICLE DOWN FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS TO LESS THAN 50MPH AND PREVENTING ACCELERATION. I WAS ACCELERATING TO INTERSTATE SPEEDS WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY FELT LIKE THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THIS REDUCED MY SPEED FROM 60 MPH TO 47-50MPH WITH TRAFFIC BEHIND ME. IT ALSO ILLUMINATED THE BRAKE LAMPS ON MY VEHICLE WHICH MADE IT APPEAR OTHER DRIVERS I WAS STOPPING ABRUPTLY. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP I COULD ACCELERATE UP TO 35-50MPH HOWEVER IT WAS INTERMITTENT ACCELERATION AS THE CAR WOULD LURCH FORWARD AND SLOW DOWN. MY BRAKE LIGHT WERE ON THE ENTIRE TIME CONFUSING OTHER DRIVERS. PIECES OF THE BROKEN BRAKE LIGHT STOP PAD WERE FOUND ON MY FLOORBOARD ONCE I WAS ABLE TO NAVIGATE THE VEHICLE HOME.

MIKE CASTRUCCI FORD (1020 OH-28 MILFORD, OHIO 45150) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONSIDERED NORMAL BY FORD. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NORMAL AND THAT IT WOULD BE REPAIRED PER A "ONE-TIME GESTURE". THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,800.

ENGINE WILL OVER-SPEED AT 7,500 RPM AND QUIT TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR IN DRIVE. FORD HAS STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS NORMAL. HASN'T ADDRESS THE ENGINE OVER SPEED YET.
