Transmission would hesitate and jerk very aggressively. If trying to accelerate, the car wouldn’t move at all. Constantly jerking or pulling forward very hard when shifting from park to drive or even while trying to accelerate. Problems started occurring near 30k miles. The problem was attempted to be fixed by the ford dealership before by replacing the valve body but due to poor inspection another service center confirmed it is a failed CDF drum.

The vehicle is subject to NHTSA Safety Recall 25V572 (Manufacturer Recall Number 25S89) regarding the rear-view camera wiring harness. The manufacturer has notified owners of the safety risk but indicates that the remedy parts are currently unavailable and has failed to provide a specific timeline for repair. I have contacted the authorized dealer and the manufacturer requesting a remedy or an interim inspection, as the rear-view camera is currently functioning correctly with no blank screen or distortion. However, the manufacturer and dealer have refused to perform an inspection to verify the system's safety and close the recall status temporarily. Because the manufacturer cannot provide parts and refuses to offer an inspection-based solution, the vehicle remains flagged with an open safety recall indefinitely. This represents an unreasonable delay in the remedy process, rendering the vehicle unusable for its intended purpose while the manufacturer fails to address the safety defect status.

Rear camera safety recall. I've contacted the local dealerships of Galpin Ford and Santa Monica Ford to fix and been denied. This recall is over 1-month now, and they say they do not have the parts to fix and cannot help. This is affecting my safety and a financial inconvenience. Please advise, thank you.

Clutch pedal is making a creaking sound when pressed and released. This is known on online forums to lead to failure of the welds near the top of the pedal arm where it pivots. This can cause the pedal to come off while driving and is not safe.

Car has issues with SYNC software and Radio Module and the display screen goes black while reverse parking or using the navigation system. Car is with the dealership and they are not able to do diagnosis as ford sync system has issues.

Like many many Ford Mustangs 2015 and newer, the AC Evaporator has failed and is leaking. This can cause condensation on the windshield and visibility issues with fogging / defrosting. Ford refuses to replace the defective evaporator. Ford dealer Coughlin Ford, Newark, Ohio diagnosed the defect and provided an estimate of $2,679.88 to replace the evaporator.

On multiple occasions now, the passenger side door has randomly opened, which sets off the door ajar warning, and I have to pull over and close the door. In addition, again randomly, the passenger side door locks will unlock, then relock, usually several times in rapid succession. Both situations seem to occur only when the vehicle is in drive, and not while in park. The vehicle is available for inspection; Fortunately, no one was sitting in the passenger seat when these instances occured; The problem has not yet been diagnosed by a dealer or service center; It has not been inspected by anyone; There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure, only after the door popped open. I am making this report prior to having it inspected by the dealership because it seems to be a very common problem with other Mustang owners as evidenced by this site, as well as on Mustang forums.

2018 Ford Mustang with 10R80 10 speed transmission. Bronco like action when slowing almost whiplash like , stalls when stopping sometime, very hard shift jerking, hard downshifting when slowing, clunking into reverse, loss of power suddenly on the FREEWAY!!!!!!!!!, very hot transmission temperatures (230+), limp mode, Very unsafe if in any FORD or other vehicles have the 10R80. Immediate recall is needed, immediate acknowledgement by FORD MOTOR COMPANY is needed here so all the multiple lawsuits can stop and safety can / should be the top priority here. SAFETY 1ST.

WHILE DRIVING, THE PASSENGER COMES LOOSE AND THEN IT OPENS, ON ITS OWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES, WHILE DRIVING. ADDITIONALLY, THE BACK WINDOWS DO NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY TO MEET THE FRONT WINDOW, SO I MANUALLY HAVE TO PULL THE WINDOWS CLOSED TO MEET THE SEAL OF THE FRONT WINDOWS. THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW GETS STUCK AND WONT GO UP OR DOWN, SOMETIMES.

When driving at a normal rate of speed, but goes over a pothole or other large divit, the Passenger door becomes "AJAR" and the warning light indicates as such. Additionally, the power window on the driver side (even with the power off) goes up and down on its own (just less than an inch). It will remain with this action, unless I lower the window slightly. Then the motorized window stays as is. Finally, the back windows do not raise all the way up with the power button. You have to exit the vehicle and manually "pull" the window up into the full closed position.

Air Conditioning Evaporator leak, appears to be a design flaw as there are MANY reported failures of the evaporator as well as failures with replacement after the repair is complete. Ford Mustangs appear to be plagued with AC related issues and various TSBs have been issued due to these issues TSB: 18-2255 18-2166 SSM 47967 SSM 48135 SSM-45815 SSM 47850 SSM 47012 SSM 47149

The Accessory Protocol Interface Module failed. All functions of the camera, radio and entire middle display console do not work. When backing up to exit parking space or to back into a parking space I can't see what is behind me and have almost hit items multiple times. The dealer inspected and told me what the issue is; that it is not under warranty and would cost approximately $1000 to repair, which I don't have. There was no forewarning of this module failure; it occurred suddenly and without warning.

THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM (SYNC 3 W/ CARPLAY) THAT CAME STOCK WITH MY 2018 MUSTANG ECOBOOST RECENTLY STOPPED WORKING. THE CAR HAS 42K MILES ON IT AND IS JUST OVER 2 YEARS OLD. SYNC 3 STARTED TO RANDOMLY LAG (20-60 SEC LAG PER BUTTON PRESS), BUTTONS BECAME UNRESPONSIVE (PRESS NOT RECOGNIZED AT ALL), SHOWED INCORRECT GPS LOCATIONS WHILE USING CARPLAY (PLUGGED IN) WITH MULTIPLE MAP SERVICES, BACKUP CAM ISSUES, AND WOULD CAUSE BLUETOOTH TO DISCONNECT RANDOMLY. I LOGGED A COMPLAINT WITH MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND BROUGHT IT IN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THE APIM COMPONENT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DEALERSHIP NOTED THIS IS COMMON AND PLAGUES OTHER MODELS WITH THE SAME APIM. A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH VERIFIED THIS. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THIS: WHILE USING THIS SYSTEM IT CAN CREATE MANY DISTRACTIONS WHILE DRIVING IF THE SYSTEM IS NOT RESPONDING AS EXPECTED. EVEN THE STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS HAVE A LAG TO THEM. ONE SUCH SCENARIO THAT CAUSED GREAT ISSUE WAS ADJUSTING THE CLIMATE CONTROL DURING COLDER MONTHS WHEN THE WINDOWS/WINDSHIELD FOG UP. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, YOU CAN'T SEE WHILE DRIVING. TYPICALLY, I CAN REACT QUICKLY TO GET RID OF THE FOG, BUT SINCE THIS COMPONENT IS DEFECTIVE, THE SYSTEM DID NOT RESPOND AND THE FOG HAD TO BE MANUALLY REMOVED. ADDITIONALLY, THIS COMPONENT SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE REPLACED WITHIN 2YR OF PURCHASE OF THE CAR, SINCE IT IS A COMPUTER. FORD OFFERED TO REPLACE THE APIM COMPONENT, FOR $1000 (WARRANTY EXPIRED AT TIME OF DIAGNOSTIC TEST). WHAT IS EVEN MORE RIDICULOUS IS THAT THEY WANT TO REPLACE IT WITH THE EXACT SAME MODEL NUMBER, WHICH TELLS ME IN ANOTHER 2YR I MAY HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. THIS ISSUE STARTED UP WHILE I WAS IN WARRANTY (~30K MI), BUT SEEMINGLY WENT AWAY UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN THE SYSTEM HAS BECOME PRACTICALLY UNUSABLE. FORD (CORPORATE) ALSO CANNOT PROVIDE ANY RATIONALE AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING, PER THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE REP.

I AM THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE FORD MUSTANG 2018 PURCHASED IN THE CAR DEALER "AUTOS VEGA DE PR" WHERE TO VERIFY IT AFTER THE PURCHASE I PERCOME THAT IT DOES NOT BRING THE ACCESSORIES OF, REPLACEMENT TIRES, HYDRAULIC CAT AND NUT KEYS. THE SELLER WAS ASKED ABOUT WHERE HE ANSWERED THAT THEY DO NOT ALREADY BRING THAT ACCESSORY BECAUSE I HAVE FREE ASSISTANCE ON THE ROAD. BEFORE THIS ANSWER I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS DETERMINATION OF THE MANUFACTURER "FORD COMPANY" IS IN LAW SINCE I UNDERSTAND THAT THE LACK OF SUCH ACCESSORIES EXPOSED THE VEHICLE'S OWNER TO A HAZARD ON THE ROAD AS IT CAN NOT RESOLVE SOME PERCENT QUICKLY AND DEPEND ON A SERVICE THAT I CAN NOT OBTAIN UNLESS I HAVE A TELEPHONE AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT AND THAT WORKS IN THE AREA WHERE I CAN NOT ACCEPT THAT SITUATION WHICH I THINK IS DANGEROUS TO THE DRIVER. I THEREFORE WANT TO ESTABLISH, TO BE FEASIBLE, A COMPLAINT ABOUT IT.PLEASE REPORT IF I HAVE ANY TOOL FOR THIS SITUATION THAT CAN HELP ME TO BE CORRECT MY APPROACH.

2018 MUSTANG GT BRAND NEW LESS THAN 300 MILES. DURING THE COURSE OF DRIVING ONE MORNING THE CAR ENGINE SHUT OFF 7 TIMES WHILE THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN. BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER WHO WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE CONDITION AND SUBSEQUENTLY DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT FORD HAS A BACKLOG AND WOULD TAKE THREE WEEKS TO GET THE PART AND THE CAR FIXED.
