TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 (NA) FOREST RIVER CRUSADER 32 FT TRAVEL TRAILER. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE MOUNTING BRACKET IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE FRACTURED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPARE TIRE BECAME LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REMOVED THE ENTIRE RIVER BRACKET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WE WERE TRAVELING I-85 NORTH BOUND OUT OF ATLANTA GA.ABOUT 60-65 MPH. ABOUT ONE HOUR INTO OUR TRIP HOME WHEN A TRUCK PULLED UP BESIDE US. HE POINTED AT OUR CAMPER AND TO PULL OVER ASAP. WE PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WERE SHOCKED TO SEE BOTH RIGHT SIDE TIRES HAD GROWN TO WHERE THEY WERE RUBBING EACH OTHER. AFTER ABOUT 4 HRS TOTAL WE MADE IT TO A SAFE PLACE TO SPEND THE NIGHT, IT WAS TO LATE TO GET ANY WORK DONE. THE NEXT MORNING WE HAD TWO OF THE TIRES REPLACED AND AFTER CLOSER INSPECTION THEY RECOMMENDED WE REPLACE ALL. THEY SAID THE BELTS OR SOMETHING WERE COMING APART INSIDE AND THAT WE WERE LUCKY NO TIRES BLEW OUT. WE HAVE TIRE SENSORS ON OUR TIRES THAT TELL THE PSI AND TEMPERATURE ALL WERE NORMAL AT THE TIME WE HAD OUR PROBLEM. THE CENTER OF THE TIRES HAVE HUMPED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TREAD AREA AND WERE RUBBING TOGETHER. THE TIRES ARE NORMALLY ABOUT THREE INCHES APART. ALL AXLES AND SUSPENSION HAS BEEN CHECKED BY AN EXPERT, ALL GOOD NO PROBLEMS FOUND ONLY TIRES!

I PULLED OVER TO HIS SHOP AND FOUND OUT THAT ALL FOUR TIRES HAD UNEVEN WEAR. ONE HAD SPLIT IN SIDE WALL AND WAS BULGING. ONE TIRE HAD A SPLIT INSIDE TIRE UNDER TREAD. ONE HAD A SPLIT IN THE TREAD.
