FUEL INJECTION WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES. ALSO, CONSUMER HAD A PROBLEM STARTING THE VEHICLE. TO OBTAIN SPEED CONSUMER HAD TO COMPLETELY DEPRESS THE ACCELERATION PEDAL. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY VEHICLE SHUT DOWN, AND VEHICLE'S PLASTIC TOP CONNECTOR INSIDE OF GAS TANK CAUGHT ON FIRE. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK
VEHICLE STARTED IDLING VERY ROUGHLY AFTER IT HAD WARMED UP OR WHEN TURNING A CORNER, IT WOULD ALMOST CUT OFF. CONSUMER COULD SMEEL FUMES, TOOK TO MECHANIC, AND IT WAS A FUEL INJECTOR LEAK. FUEL INJECTOR AND EGR VALVE, AND ENGINE GASKET HAD TO BE REPLACED. CONSUMER STATED THIS PROBLEM COULD HAVE STARTED A FIRE OR CAUSED A BAD ACCIDENT. *AK
FUEL BEING INJECTED BACK INTO ENGINE. DEALER / MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED, AND INFORMED CONSUMER THAT FUEL INJECTOR KIT MUST BE PURCHASED TO CORRECT PROBLEM. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS MATTER. *AK
CONSUMER WAS BACKING UP INTO CARPORT AND NOTICED FLAMES COMING FROM REAR OF VEHICLE NEAR FUEL TANK. FIRE WAS STARTED BY GAS LEAKING ON EXHAUST PIPE. OWNER SEEKS REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIRS. *AK *ML
PROBLEM WAS NOTICED THE MORING AFTER THE JIMMY WAS REFUELED. UPON INSPECTION THE REAR SEAM OF THE FUEL TANK WAS RUSTED TO THE POINT OF LEAKING FUEL ALL OVER MY GARAGE, CAUSING A STRONG GAS SMELL. THE CAUSE APPEARS TO BE THAT THE TWO METAL ( TANK AND FRAME) PARTS ARE TO CLOSE ALLOWING DIRT AND ROAD RESIDUE TO SET IN AN IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN AREA CAUSING RUST. WITH THE GAS DRIPPING THIS COULD BE A FIRE HAZZARD WITH THE LICENSE PLATE WIREING RUNNING CLOSE TO THE GAS.
THIS COMBINATION HAS BEEN REPLACED 6 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 YEARS AT A RATE OF $1000 BY TWO REPAIR FACILITIES
AT 65,000 MILES THE HEATER CORE AND THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
ABS BRAKES FAILED/REPLACED. ALSO REPLACED BRAKE PADS/CALIPERS AND MASTER CYLINDER. *AK
FUEL INJECTION ASSEMBLY FAILED.
WIRE FROM THE FUSE BOX TO FUEL PUMP CROSSES OVER THE TOP OF THE TRANSMISSION/ RUBBING OF WIRE ON TRANSMISSION, CAUSED REMOVAL OF INSULATION ON WIRE/BARE CONTACT BETWEEN WIRE AND METAL ON TRANSMISSION, RESULTED IN LOSS OF ENGINE FUEL. *AK
FUEL TANK RUSTED OUT ON BACK SEAM. OWNER NOTICED NO CORROSION PROTECTION FOR TANK BOTH OLD AND NEW. TT
