While traveling down the highway at approximately 60-65mph I pressed the accelerator to change lanes and pass a tractor trailer when it felt like my transmission slipped very abruptly. There was a very noticeable power loss and the truck would not accelerate. Then I noticed a loud knocking noise coming from the engine. No check engine light or any other indications on the dash to let me know there was a problem. I began to try and merge to the right of the highway to get off which was not easy do to the power loss and heavy traffic on the highway at the time. I made it to the right lane to exit the highway and when I slowed down the engine died and I had to coast to a stop luckily on an exit ramp. The truck was towed to a dealership and they state that I will need a new engine. I know this issue is already well documented with the GM 6.2l engines but I is very unsettling that the engine just died on the highway at highway speeds and no indications.

I am writing to express my significant concerns regarding the recurring issues with my 2024 Denali 6.2, which has been subject to multiple service visits since reaching 7,000 miles. Despite these visits, the underlying problem remains undiagnosed and reoccurs shortly after I retrieve the vehicle. Following the second oil change, the engine developed a persistent ticking noise. Over the past 13 month, I have invested over $200,000 with your dealership in the past 5 years!. My truck was recently held for two weeks for service. After I lodged a complaint, the General Manager suggested I seek service elsewhere. This recommendation was made after I responded to an email stating that, following the completion of repairs to the headliner, third brake light, and brakes/rotors, I would no longer be utilizing Crain's services. The headliner sustained water damage due to improper installation by your technician, and fingerprints were also evident. I firmly believe in transparent communication regarding service progress, which was notably absent in this instance. Both the General Manager and Service Manager deferred responsibility, instructing me to contact GM directly, only for GM to inform me that direct contact was inappropriate. This resulted in a continuous cycle of unaddressed concerns with the service manager. Currently, I am operating an $80,000 vehicle that has incurred damage from a technician and exhibits a ticking engine. Furthermore, the driver's side mirror, which was previously replaced due to shaking at highway speeds, is now exhibiting the same issue, despite a technician's assertion that this is normal. I also note that my brakes, with over 89% remaining, are beginning to squeak, which your team claims is normal. This assessment is difficult to accept.

I brought my 2024 Sierra in for its L87 recall. It passed. Two weeks later I had to bring it in for check engine light. They reset the system under a TSB that is known to occur with the l87 recall. Not a total of 300 miles of passing the recall I was driving and the engine started making a horrible noise and I started experiencing loss of power. I managed to get the vehicle safely parked. The dealer pulled the oil filter and said it had 100% metal contamination in the oil. The filter looked like a glitter bomb went off. It took 3 weeks, they replaced the engine with a remanufactured engine even though I told them new only. They also had to replace the radiator as it was polluted with metal.

12/7/2025 8:48 AM Engine lost propulsion while driving 35mph enroute to residence. The engine cut off and at the same time we saw a cloud of blue smoke trailing the vehicle. The engine refired and propulsion resumed. I immediately looked at the dash display for an indicator light resulting from the lack of propulsion. There were no unusual indicator lights or messages but the tachometer needle dropped about an inch and went back up again rapidly. The engine had resumed running. This loss of propulsion and resumption occurred two more times while my foot was off the accelerator. After the third incident the vehicle seemed to be running normally. I stated we had only about two miles to get home and I hope we make it. The next day I called DeLuz service department to notify them of the incident. I left a message but my call was not returned. I updated service staff of the new incident when I dropped the vehicle off for a previously scheduled appointment on 12/11/25.

My truck completely stalled and had to be restarted. I took it to the dealership to have it resolved. They wouldn’t look at the truck without a recall notice. Now there is a recall notice for my exact issue. I took it to be repaired by them but now they are saying that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and are refusing to do anything about it stalling. They specifically said that I will have to stall and potentially get in a car wreck before they will repair the damaged engine. I have been very disappointed in this entire situation and would like to avoid driving a car that may end up crashing due to a preventable problem.

Dec 11, 2025

While driving my 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate on the highway, the engine suddenly failed without warning. The truck shut off completely while I was traveling at highway speed. I was fortunate to be able to safely maneuver to the shoulder, but the sudden loss of power created a serious risk of a collision with surrounding traffic. The failure appears to involve the engine or engine control system. The vehicle engine is currently available for inspection upon request. Prior to the incident, there were no warning lights, messages, or unusual symptoms. The shutdown occurred abruptly with no prior indication of a problem. This vehicle previously received the NS25249400 safety recall repair on August 12, 2025, and it reportedly passed all required checks at that time.

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2025/RCRIT-25V274-6343.pdf Safety Recall N252494001 L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion I am currently writing due to my vehicle falling under the guidelines of this recall but it is not listed in the recalls. I have been in contacts with GM directly as they say because it is not listed on NHTSA as a saftey recall they will not cover the cost. I am writing to try to get this listed as I currently can not get an oil change at any location but a GM dealer because it is listed in the systems.

On Dec 4, 2025, my wife was driving at night on a Texas road going 75mph. Her truck died while driving and the truck shifted into neutral and computer said to restart. When she did, all electrical power was lost including headlights while traveling at 75mph at night. Vehicle eventually was started after she got to the side of the road. A check engine light was present. She made it to her destination with no further problems. Vehicle was taken to the dealership the next day. They said that she may have catastrophic engine failure that is common on the 6.2 liter GM motors.

Dec 7, 2025

While traveling on highway, engine suddenly just stopped. Unable to restart engine and had to coast to side of road with high speed vehicles almost hitting us several times. Towed to dealership and told metal found in oil filter. Told engine had to be replaced. Vehicle was inspected 3 weeks before by dealership and told everything was fine.

Dec 1, 2025

On 29 November 2025 at approximately 1700hrs, I was driving my Blue 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X outside of Pampa, TX. As I was driving to my hunting location, my truck turned itself off and placed itself in neutral. I was driving about 30 mph down a single farm road with another vehicle approaching me from the front. I was unable to pull to the side due to farmland. I was able to flash my lights to get the other vehicle to slow down before having an incident. During this time, I had to let the truck slow down to a stop. My vehicle was already inspected for the engine recall and I was informed I had nothing to worry about. That everything was good. The truck is at Greg Lair in Canyon, TX. It did put me and my passenger as risk. I did not receive any warning before my truck turned off. The dealer confirmed today that the engine had seized. The engine was inspected during the summer before this issue. I had not warning when this happened. Was just driving and lost power. Looked down at the display and it stated to restart engine. I noticed my truck was in neutral when it came to a stop.

Nov 27, 2025

The recall you are showing was completed 300 miles ago. There were no outstanding recalls on my vehicle on November 23, 2025. On this day I was driving home, at night and I heard a loud flapping sound coming from the front of my vehicle. I pulled over and checked the front and wheel wells, nothing was stuck. I got back in and started driving the flapping sound was coming as I pressed the gas, when coasting with no gas, there was no flapping sound. I managed to make it home and GM towed my truck the next day. The shop has informed me that the engine is gone. Even though I did the recall 300 miles ago, it was directly what they were looking for in the recall and did not find it. This clearly put me in danger.

On August 3, 2025 I was on the road enroute to my residence. With no warning my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT engine quit. We heard a popping sound and the entire vehicle shuddered. I took safe control of the vehicle. As I intervened I noticed that the dash warning lights were lit. Almost immediately the warning lights went off and the engine restarted on its own. We were startled and extremely concerned about what had just happened. This was the first problem we encountered with the truck. I contacted the DeLuz Chevy garage in Hilo for a follow-up appointment.

Nov 20, 2025

I was operating my GMC Sierra 1500 SLT in Hilo HI. As I was slowly turning left from [XXX] onto [XXX] my vision was drawn to the rear view mirror. My wife and I observed a huge smoke like cloud above the tailgate of my truck and beyond. I immediately reduced my already slow speed. Traffic was heavy and I was unable to safely assess the problem on the spot. When I arrived at my destination a few blocks away I found no physical evidence that it had occurred. It has not happened since. Even so, we were concerned enough to make an appointment with DeLuz Chevy in Hilo for assessment. Unfortunately in the interim I experienced another problem with the truck and asked that it also be addressed during the smoke related appointment. Again unfortunately the DeLuz service department did not assess the smoke incident during the service visit. After pulling my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT into a parking space at a local store, I shut off the engine. I observed the lighted ignition switch and the dash icons were illuminated even though the engine was completely off. Having had my foot on the brake at the time I decided to test the ignition switch to determine why it was lit while the engine was off. When I pressed the start button there was a loud, whining starter like sound, grinding like metal on metal. The noise was so alarming that I immediately took my hand off the ignition. The engine was still off. After waiting a significant amount of time I tried to restart the engine. Exactly the same thing occurred. On the final attempt to start the engine, 15-20 minutes later, it started and ran quietly like nothing had ever happened. On returning to the vehicle my wife asked what all the loud grinding noise was about. She had heard it while she was inside the store. I advised her it was our truck! The incident was shocking to us both and because of its bizarre nature I was afraid to drive the vehicle back home. As I already had an appointment on November 6 at DeLuz Chevy for another incident, I called them on November 3 to add this incident to the existing appointment. This incident was added to the November 6 appointment. Unfortunately the service department did not assess the previous incident and only addressed this incident.

The contact owned a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The contact stated that while driving at 16 MPH, the engine suddenly stalled. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to restart the engine, placed the gear lever on neutral(N), and revved up the engine. The contact then moved the gear lever to drive(D); when the vehicle accelerated independently, the contact swerved to avoid hitting a telephone pole, then swerved to avoid hitting a mailbox, and ended up hitting a tree, where the vehicle came to a stop. The driver-side and passenger-side air bags. A police report was filed. The contact sustained minor injuries to his foot. No medical attention was provided. No passengers in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The vehicle was not inspected. The insurance company was notified. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and pending an investigation. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.

On October 23rd at approximately 0900-0915 hours I arrived at a friends house located at [XXX] . As I normally do, I pulled up into the driveway which has a pretty significant incline. I shifted the column shifter into park, and turned off the vehicle via the push button ignition switch. The parking brake/hill brake system automatically engaged as per normal operation. I exited the vehicle and before I could shut the door, the vehicle began to roll backwards. The driver's side door hit me in the right shoulder which pushed me to my left and caused me to roll my left ankle due to the down slope of the driver way. While I felt immense pain in my right ankle, I was able to jump back into the truck and slam on the brakes, causing both rear wheels to lock up and skid in the driveway. I then turned back on the vehicle, noting that the transmission position was still in park, and the parking brake/hill brake was still engaged. I had to disengage the push button parking brake/hill-brake, shift the vehicle from park into drive to move back up the driveway. This time I ensured that the vehicle did not move after following the exact same steps. My truck under went an approximately 30 minute software "upgrade" approximately 2.5 weeks ago. I believe there was an issue where the park sensor did not fully engage, leading the vehicle to believe it was still in an operational gear, however it does not explain how it was able to not only over-ride the parking/hill-brake itself, as well as allow me to shut the vehicle off and exit the vehicle. This safety hazard has caused me an injury that has already caused me to miss 48 hours of work (I am a federal firefighter) and will require more missed time should surgery be required. There were no warning lamps, the backup camera was not engaged, the only audible sound was the beep that the vehicle makes when engaging the parking brake automatically. The first time the truck stopped and wouldn’t want to start (engine light came up) after a few minutes and with a push the truck turned on. Next day while driving on freeway the truck shift hard pulling vehicle back as if it was going to stop without braking. Took truck to GMC dealer on 9/26/25 for an inspection with approx 17,000 miles. Oct. 17, 2025 GMC rep said my truck was inspected/ good to go and was ready for pick up. Not sure what part they had replaced. On Oct. 18, 2025 picked up truck while leaving dealer I had my family in my truck about 3 miles into my drive we heard a loud clunk and the truck shifted hard slowing the truck down and display reduce acceleration drive with care and check engine light on. Have in mind we were on a busy traffic street driving while other cars had to pass us because we couldn’t speed up. I did not feel safe with my children in the car, left it again for the 2nd time with GMC service dept. Now we are almost reaching to a 30 day grace period without our vehicle.

GM has identified my vehicle as having a problem "If the engine fails during vehicle operation, the vehicle will lose propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash.". It has been almost 6 months since this issue was identified and yet GM has failed to address the issue in my vehicle. I believe this problem should be immediately corrected and if it results in my or my families injory GMC should be considered grossly negligent for their failure to promptly correct the issue.

Sep 16, 2025

I received a letter from GMC almost 4 months ago telling me that my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 was recalled due to an engine safety issue. The letter stated that there was no remedy yet and that a subsequent letter would be sent with instructions on how to have repairs done. I never received a second letter. Also, my GMC app stated that the vin had an incomplete recall. Today the app states that there are no incomplete or completed recalls. I called my dealer and they said they know nothing about the recall and I should just wait. This is unacceptable and I need some type of resolution.

Aug 13, 2025

On [XXX] while traveling on a highway, the vehicle lost drive power—the gear selector would not remain in Drive and reverted to Neutral for approximately 10 minutes. This created a serious safety hazard due to sudden loss of propulsion in moving traffic. The event was captured by OnStar, which emailed an automated incident alert. I later received a GM safety recall notice concerning potential engine loss of propulsion for vehicles with the 6.2L L87 engine (NHTSA 25V-274 / GM N252494000/001/002). I presented the vehicle to Ewing Buick GMC (Plano, TX) on July 23, 2025 for recall service and retrieved it on July 28, 2025. Approximately one week later, during an interstate trip to Kansas City, the engine catastrophically failed about one hour from my destination, leaving the vehicle disabled on the roadway shoulder. Roadside assistance towed the truck to Briggs Auto (KS). Briggs Auto diagnosed engine failure and ordered a replacement engine. I was informed the engine is on back-order with no estimated arrival, and the shop is under-staffed, prolonging repairs. The vehicle remains out of service. The sequence—pre-recall loss of propulsion, post-recall service, and then engine failure within a week—shows a serious safety defect that can lead to sudden loss of power at highway speeds, risking a crash. Frequency: Loss of propulsion occurred at least twice (March highway incident; subsequent engine failure in early August). Warning Lights/Messages: [Gear refuse tom shift to Drive mode.] Injuries/Crashes: None, but risk was substantial due to sudden power loss. Dealer Involvement: Ewing Buick GMC (recall visit); Briggs Auto (diagnosis/engine order). Attachments/Supporting Docs: OnStar email, recall notice, repair orders, tow documentation, photos/video. Please investigate whether 2024 GMC Sierra trucks with the 6.2L L87 engine continue to pose a loss-of-propulsion risk after recall service and whether parts shortages/back-orders are delaying effective remedy INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while vacationing in Canada and driving at various speeds, the vehicle jerked, and the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. In addition, the RPM fluctuated, and the engine revved abnormally. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to reverse(R) as intended. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road while in LIMP Mode. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that when the dealer contacted the manufacturer to order a new transmission, the manufacturer refused and informed the dealer to repair the current transmission. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that a week later, the vehicle experienced another failure. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while approaching a stop sign, the brake pedal was depressed, and the engine revved unintendedly. The contact used force to depress the brake pedal. The failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer back in the USA; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was awaiting the results of the diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

On 22 April I turned my truck in to the dealership service department due to recall of the L87 6.2L engine. Also, told the rep, "my truck was shifting hard". After inspection revealed the valve body needed replacing. My vehicle is still at the service department today with no remedy in sight. I asked if Gm could just replace my transmission because, the part is not coming. They explained they would replace the transmission, but they can't find a 10 speed transmission available to swap out. I call weekly to get updates. nothing!!

Aug 10, 2025

I have not had an incident yet. However GM itself has told us that the car has a high probability of having a major problem while driving and it has caused numerous injury related accidents. In fact, they will not let us trade the vehicle or sell the vehicle because the car is dangerous to drive. They also have no timeline on fixing the vehicle, which requires an engine replacement. This is also an environmental problem as the temporary mitigation of the problem (I say mitigation because it does NOT solve the problem) significantly changes the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. GM should be forced to let us trade the vehicle back with a solid valuation of our vehicle as if the problem did not exist. No solution short of putting a new engine in the vehicle or allowing us to trade the vehicle in immediately should be acceptable. NHTSA is aware of the problem but for some reason seems to be ignoring it. When VW had an engine problem, which was not a safety hazard, VW made it right. GM has no intention of doing anything about it.

AS PART OF THE ENGINE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH MY VEHICLE I HAD A REPAIR SCHEDULED AT PARKS GMC IN GREENVILLE, SC LOCATED ON LAURENS RD. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD THE PARTS AND PROTOCOL BUT COULD NOT REPAIR MY RECALL BECAUSE GENERAL MOTORS WAS AT RANDOM SELECTING VIN NUMBERS TO DETERMINE WHICH ONES THEY WOULD REPAIR. THE SERVICE ADVISOR (KEVIN BLACKSTON) TOLD ME THAT GM WAS FIXING NEW VEHICLES FIRST AND THAT THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE WHEN MINE WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN SCHEDULE ME IN TO PERFORM THE REPAIR AND THEN REFUSE TO MAKE THE REPAIR STATING THAT THERE IS NO SOLUTIONS WHEN IN FACT THE SERVICE ADVISOR EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT WOULD BE PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE. HOW CAN GM ALLOW PEOPLE TO BE ON THE ROAD IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE YET HAVE THE PARTS ON THE SHELF TO MAKE NEEDED REPAIRS. THE OTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT THIS DEALERSHIP IS USING THIS RECALL TO [XXX] CLIENTS. A FEW MONTHS BACK WHEN I WENT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE THEY SENT ME A TEXT MAKING AN OFFER IF I WAS INTERESTED IN SELLING THE VEHICLE. WHEN I WENT IN TO GET THE VEHICLE APPRAISED THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDNT OFFER ME THE AMOUNT IN THE TEXT MESSAGE BECAUSE THE RECALL HADNT BEEN REPAIRED AND AT BEST COULD GIVE ME ABOUT 9,000 LESS. WHICH SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE GETTING OVER ON PEOPLE AND MAKING A LOT MORE MONEY OFF OF GMs MISTAKE. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO SELL MY VEHICLE AND GET ANOTHER VEHICLE FOR A FEW MONTHS AND I AM STUCK WITH THIS POTENTIALLY UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE VEHICLE WHILE THE DEALERSHIP HOLDS ON TO PARTS FOR OTHER VEHICLES. I NEED ASSISTANCE IN PUSING PARKS GMC TO MAKE THE NEEDED REPAIRS. IF THE ENGINE WERE TO BREAKDOWN BEFORE THE REPAIR IS COMPLETED I COULD BE OUT OF A VEHICLE FOR MONTHS. I HAVE 2 CHILDREN TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO SCHOOL AND WORK THAT HAS TO CONTINUE WITH OUR WITHOUT A GOOD VEHICLE. ANY ASSISTANCE IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! GMC has been aware of this problem since May 2025. They still do not have a remedy. This vehicle has not been operated for 41 days, since the recall states "The connecting rod and/or crankshaft engine components in these vehicles may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure. If the engine fails during vehicle operation, the vehicle will lose propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash." Letter sent to GMC, but this site is not allowing me to download it. I purchased my GMC Sierra AT4 from your Oman GMC distributor called Moosa Abdulrehman Hassan. The vehicle suddenly stops and transmission automatically shift from 'D' driving mode to 'N' natural. First it happened when the vehicle driven 200km only when I took it to dealer Moosa Abdulrehman Hassan, they re-programmed the vehicle and doesn't know what the problem is. Second time happened when the vehicle was driven approx. 1,600 km and 3rd time again happened on [XXX], engine stopped and transmission shifted automatically from D to N, I have to start the engine and continue my journey. Again, I brought the vehicle to GMC dealer Moosa Abdulrehman Hassan. They kept the vehicle for almost one week and unable to demonstrate or diagnose the problem and asked me to collect the vehicle. Its high risk to drive the vehicle, when suddenly the engine stops and the gear shift from 'D' to 'N' while driving. I had option to choose, Ford 150 or Dodge Ram I bought GMC because it suppose to be reliable and have the best safety features. But I really regret now why I have purchased it, there are no technicians in Oman with GMC dealer to identify and fix the problem. I can't drive the vehicle in such condition, risking my life and life of other drivers on the road. The vehicle is parked in my Garage, it new vehicle just completed 1800 km. The the dealer the solution is very simple, either fix the issue, or replace the car or refund my money back, the dealer is not doing any of these. Before taking legal action and reporting it to the court, which will bring shame to GMC reputed brand. I though I'll give my final try to report it to you. You are the manufacturer may be have a solution. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Jul 14, 2025

I recently purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. On July 14, 2025, I was informed of a recall involving the L87 engine and a risk of loss of propulsion. This is a major safety concern that can cause the vehicle to suddenly lose power while driving. I was advised not to drive the truck due to safety reasons, but GM has not released a fix or repair solution for this recall. This issue puts my safety and the safety of others at serious risk, as the vehicle could lose power without warning on the road. I contacted the dealership (Findlay Chevrolet, Las Vegas) and GM directly, but no timeline or resolution has been provided. I am now stuck with a vehicle I cannot legally or safely drive and no support from the manufacturer to resolve the issue. There were no warning lamps or prior symptoms before the recall was issued. The problem has been acknowledged by the manufacturer but remains unresolved. The vehicle has been inspected and the recall confirmed by the dealership, but they stated there is no fix currently available. I am requesting that NHTSA take this seriously and put pressure on GM to either provide a safe solution, a loaner vehicle, or a buyback program until the recall can be resolved.

Jul 7, 2025

Dealership is unable to remedy issue stated on recall notice in a timely manner, I stopped by today and they told me they can’t do it right now and they have no idea when they will be able to so in the meantime drive it, to which I stated just drive it and if the engine fails on me then oh well? And they said yes there’s nothing we can do right now. Ridiculous putting my family’s safety at risk if the engine fails and they won’t even do the inspections

Jun 24, 2025

I received the vehicle recall from GMC and contacted my dealership to inform them I was having a lagging issue with power in my truck. I inquired if I can bring the truck in to have it looked at under the recall, but was informed that no remedy was provided, and I also have to wait until my VIN# came up for inspection which no date or time frame was available. The next question I ask was can I get a loaner vehicle based on the recall which can cause an accident with engine propulsion failure. The local dealership and GM failed to provide a loaner vehicle which I feel unsafe driving my current vehicle. I also asked the dealership if GM is willing to buy the vehicle back from me and yet again, no response. Local dealership is Heritage Buick GMC of Rockwall Texas.

I am filing a formal complaint against GMC and R.B. Fries GMC regarding a catastrophic engine failure that occurred in my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali just over a month after purchase, with only 1,188 miles on the vehicle. The engine completely failed and had to be fully replaced. I contacted GMC and submitted a claim seeking a buyback or replacement under the Lemon Law and warranty protections. My claim was rejected, and I was offered no resolution, despite the seriousness of the failure and the fact that it occurred under normal use and well within the warranty period. This alone was unacceptable, but the situation has worsened. The truck is now experiencing additional issues, and I have scheduled an appointment with Eynon GMC (earliest available: June 23, 2025, scheduled through Karen). In the meantime, I am reaching out to other GMC dealers in hopes of getting service sooner, as I no longer trust this vehicle at all. This has been the worst automotive experience I’ve ever had. I expected a reliable product and proper customer support for a brand-new truck, especially one marketed as premium. Instead, I am left with serious concerns for my safety and financial loss. All communication is attached, and I do have witnesses for my claims including phone conversations with service and sales. As of today, I was again told by a phone call from GM that they will offer me nothing. The dealer I purchased it from has not responded. The Truck if I can find someone to take it on a trade (as most are refusing-even GMC dealers) are offering over 10K less than paid.

Jun 2, 2025

I received a recall notice for my 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate (6.2L engine), related to defective lifters that can cause engine damage. My truck was built in April 2024, and I've been told by some sources that certain 2024s may have the updated lifters, but neither my dealership nor GMC will confirm whether my truck is affected or safe. I’ve asked multiple times for VIN-specific confirmation of the engine components — no one has been able to tell me if my vehicle has the faulty parts or not. I was told to just keep using the oil they recommend or wait for a diagnostic tool GM hasn’t even released yet. That’s not enough. I’m planning to take my family, including my grandchildren, on a long road trip soon, and I don’t feel safe putting them in this truck without answers. For a vehicle that cost over $85,000, I shouldn’t be left guessing whether the engine could fail on the road. I’m filing this complaint because GM is not giving me a straight answer, and I think this is a serious safety concern.

Jun 1, 2025

I learned 2 weeks ago my 6.2L was part of the recall. I took a business trip in the truck with about 19,000 miles last week. I got home Friday noon. Truck was parked from Friday till this afternoon. Went to remote start it, it started, was misfiring and stalled, I could hear what I thought was a rod clanking. I got in the truck, started it with the start button, same thing. Had my 19yr old son start it with me laying on the driveway listening. It was clearly a rod or bearing making noise. I’m fortunate this happened in my driveway and not on my hour drive Friday. Truck will be towed to dealer Monday 6/2, but I suspect this motor has failed with 20,000 miles for the same reason it was recalled.

starting in June of 2024 at 6500 miles my truck started exhibiting loud exhaust drones and severe vibrations coming through the dash, floorboard and steering column on excelleration. The truck has been in repair 7 times in the past 11 months and multiple parts have been changed. I learned that there are thousands of General Motors 1500 trucks equipped with the 3.0 LZ0 Duramax diesel engine exhibiting the same symptoms. A General Motors Field Engineer found Broken exhaust bracket studs at the engine block caused by exhaust alignment and engine/transmission mount stress from worn components. These trucks are coming from the factory this way and continues with 2025 model year. My son owns a 2025 GMC AT4X 3.0 LZO and has the exact same symptoms.

Engine failed. Driving on the interstate and vehicle lost all power. Problem confirmed by Jim Glover Cheverolet. Engine inspected and confirmed by dealership. No warning at all.

May 1, 2025

I have received the notice about the recall and now I am just worried because I have a wife and two-year-old child in my truck. I don't want the engine issue to happen while they are in the truck and increases the risk to get into an accident if the engine fails. I have tried to schedule an appointment with my dealership and from the date I received notice on 04/28/2025. They stated I have to call back in two weeks which should be unacceptable because how about if the engine fails within the two weeks and causes even more issues for me and my family. This should be approached much quicker and fix the matter asap.

Purchase the truck [XXX]. In January of 2025 it started to feel like the engine was slipping. Near the end of February, it was getting worse and the locks started locking/unlocking on their own. The vehicle stalled two separate times while driving on a main road. The first couple days of March, the car stalled, again on the road while the locks went crazy. Then, on [XXX], after I had pulled out of my driveway in my neighborhood, my car completely shut down. We had to have the truck towed to Coyle GMC, in Clarksville, Indiana. And, as of May 1st, it is still there. We have been told they need some cap for the transmission and they don't know when they will get it. They offered to give us a new transmission, but they don't know when they'll get it. I am making car payments on a car that I have not had since May 7th. Unfortunately, because I drive my car for work, it had it's 32000 miles on it, so I can't turn it in for the lemon law. I'm very lucky that my son and I were not injured when the car stalled in the middle of the road. This is an ongoing issue with GMC, and I think it should be illegal that they were selling these trucks. I have a brand new truck that I haven't driven in 2 months. I had an engine failure with a complete loss of power while driving on a state highway early on 12/13/24. No lights, hazard lights, nothing would turn on for over 10 minutes, then once started my truck said "shut off engine, low oil pressure". There was a bearing failure that sent metal fragments all through the engine. My truck went into the dealership on 12/17/24 and i received it back with a new engine on 4/18/25. It has the same L87 engine with the same recommended oil as before the recall. I asked GMC to buy it back from me because it's neither dependable or safe after what happened. I was refused without being given a reason.

Apr 30, 2025

On April 21, 2025 around 11pm, I was entering my neighborhood, I was slowing to a stop, the truck shut off, shifted to neutral on its own. Clusters were still on though, no error codes other than instruction to turn ignition back on. I tried for over 20 minutes with no luck. I placed the truck in park and shut it off after that I couldn't get it change back to neutral. Was on the phone with onstar and recorded it. Eventually it turned on with check engine light, made it home. On April 22, 2025, I dropped it off at Classic Buick GMC 16835 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas 77094. Service rep informed me I will require a new engine as there are metal shavings in the oil filter as a result of worn cam shaft bearings. They have had the truck at their shop since the incident.

Apr 29, 2025

I leased a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate with the 6.2L V8 engine. The vehicle experienced multiple engine-related issues over time, including stalling on [XXX], and again in early 2025. On [XXX], the engine completely failed while I was driving on the highway. The truck suddenly shut down, forcing me to pull over in a dangerous situation. It was towed to North Bay Cadillac, where they confirmed the engine needed to be fully replaced. They also stated this issue is related to a known engine defect affecting 6.2L engines across GM vehicles. The vehicle has been in the shop for extended periods and is currently undergoing repairs estimated to take over a month. GM provided a loaner vehicle after 12 days, but I remain financially responsible for a defective truck that posed a serious safety risk. No warning lights were present before the failure. I am requesting that this issue be formally documented due to the severity of the safety hazard and the widespread nature of this engine problem. Apr 29, 2025

On April 23rd, while traveling, I began hearing a loud, metal on metal knock. My truck began to lose all pulling power. I had no engine warnings, no check engine lights or any other indicator of engine trouble. I pulled to the side of the road and exited the vehicle. It was then I realized it was my engine making the noise. I have since had it towed to the dealer where it sits while I wait to hear back from the service department a final diagnosis. I was told this was most likely a rod or bearing. On Friday April 25, I was told of the recall. I was told I would probably need a new engine but they haven't been instructed on what the next step would be from GM.

Apr 29, 2025

While exiting the highway and transitioning into a turn lane, my 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 (with 12,887 miles) suddenly and completely shut down without any prior warning. All vehicle systems—including electrical—failed simultaneously. This included the dashboard, steering assistance, and emergency lights, which significantly compromised my safety. I was unable to alert surrounding drivers or move the vehicle out of the traffic lane. There were multiple cars behind me, and I was placed in an extremely unsafe situation due to the sudden loss of control and inability to signal or restart the vehicle. I immediately contacted emergency services, and a police officer arrived approximately 10 minutes later to assist. Roadside assistance later pulled diagnostic code P0016 from the truck’s computer. I have since learned that this code corresponds to a known engine timing defect and is the subject of a recent GMC recall issued just days prior to the incident. The failure occurred without any warning lights, messages, or symptoms beforehand. The vehicle is now with a GMC dealer and is available for inspection upon request. To my knowledge, the issue has not yet been independently confirmed, but I believe it is directly connected to the recalled component.

Apr 26, 2025

In the midst of driving my vehicle, soon after exiting the expressway. I received a notification across the dashboard stating to press the brake to start engine. It was totally confusing because I was actually driving and doing so at a speed of approximately 45 miles per hour because I just exited the freeway. Then I noticed the car would not accelerate. At that point I realized that my car had shut down on me while in the midst of driving. I had to very cautiously maneuver my way through traffic to the side of the road where I parked and called onstar for help. This was a very scary moment because I felt as if I could have very easily caused an accident and injured or cost the life of myself or an innocent person. The engine shut down was not evident because all the dashboard lights were still functioning as normal. I don't feel safe driving the vehicle and would very much like to replace with something else, but I feel stuck with it. Dealership says that the vehicle depreciation for one year was $10,000.00 and that I will have to roll that 10k into the price of any new vehicle if I wanted to get out of the current lease. That makes the purchase of newer, safer vehicle unaffordable for me, so again I feel stuck driving something that could have very easily cost me my life.

As I was driving down the feeder road of a major highway, the light (press brake to start engine) came on. I was traveling around 55 miles per hour. I pressed the brake and pressed the start button but nothing happened. At this point I was coasting as the engine had died. The radio and electrical system were fully operational. I tried restarting the engine several times while coasting along the busy feeder road. I finally pulled into the right side lane (there was no shoulder) and applied the brakes. Once fully stopped, I was not able to start the engine. I called my GMC dealer for the name of a tow truck. The tow was able to pick up my truck about 45 minutes later. I am still waiting on a new engine from GMC with no time update from my dealer. This incident happened on 03/03/2025.

Driving on the highway, moving to pass another vehicle, engine shut off forcing me to coast to the shoulder. No warnings and didn't notice loss of power until I saw that the vehicle had been shifted into neutral. Had 2 kids in the truck and could not get GMC service department on the phone, had to walk up an onramp in order to get my kids home with me in an Uber. This is a 2024 6.2L GMC with only 13,000 miles. Service department took over a week to check initial issues, said it was a fuse block which they replaced. Did not resolve the issue, then it was the starter, which did not resolve the issue, after 2 weeks they told me the engine was locked up due to internal failure and it will be several months before the truck is operable. GM has stated they the issue needs to occur 4 times before a buyback would be considered.

On the morning of March 12, 2025, I started experiencing a ticking sound from the engine bay under throttle. I suspected lifter failure and decided to proceed to the dealership that afternoon for repairs. During my commute, the engine started squealing and shuddering and I experienced a severe loss of acceleration which made it almost unsafe to drive on the highway. Upon coming to a stop in traffic, the engine died. I was able to get it restarted and proceeded to continue my trek to the dealership. Upon another traffic stop, the engine died again, at which point I made the decision to exit the highway and continue my journey along the service road. Twice more the engine died when coming to a stop and the 4th time it struggled to restart. I finally decided to pull into a parking lot and as I was backing into a parking space, the engine died its final time and would not crank/turn over. To make matters more difficult, the transmission would not even shift out of "PARK" into "NEUTRAL" for it to be laoded onto a tow truck. Each time I tried to shift out of "PARK" I received a message stating "Conditions for shift not met"

I am beyond frustrated with my newly purchased 2024 GMC Sierra Elevation 1500 5.3l V8. Back in November I was notified to bring my vehicle back to the dealership for a complete engine replacement. Ever since this time I have had continuous problems with the vehicle. One day after receiving my truck back, I noticed that it was running rough and misfiring. When I opened the hood, I observed a bungy cord still attached to the engine. Several weeks after, the check engine light came on and took a week to get back due to sensor issues with engine. Today, after getting off work, I turned on my truck, but I am unable to shift out of park and I am stuck waiting on a tow truck. There has been nothing but issues with this truck since they replaced the engine. I am not sure if the mechanics at Garlyn Shelton GMC in Temple, Texas, are qualified to replace engines. This is a brand new truck and I should not be having these issues. My fear is that these problems are going to continue because they either did not properly install the new engine or there are still defects.

Since owning my truck new, the vehicle has had numerous issues with loose exhaust and engine components. The truck has had loose catalytic converter bolts, heat shield and exhaust components causing severe vibration in the driveline, dash and floorboard. Truck with >15000 miles on it suddenly stops on highway (Dec 6, 2024). Engine won't start but all electrical components work, retractable steps, radio, bluetooth etc. When attempted to start, all electric went black and "push to start button again" came on display. Towed to dealer and after 3 days, advisor says it's not the battery but it might be something electrical. After six days I trade this truck in as they "don't" know what is wrong. After I trade they tell me that the truck needs a new engine but don't why. While taking my new 2025 truck in for a computer problem (500 miles) they tell me they found metal shavings in the oil. I find out two weeks later that there might be a problem with 877,710 6.2L engine with the same problem as mine. Sales says he doesn't know what problem is but he says he may be stuck with the truck for 30 days or more so I should trade.

Jan 28, 2025

On 01/24/2025, I was driving my GMC Sierra in the express toll lane at approximately 75 mph. The toll lane had two lanes and was enclosed by concrete barriers on both sides with no median or shoulder to pull over. Without warning, the engine suddenly shut off. There were no warning lights, no unusual noises—just complete engine failure. The power steering also stopped functioning, making it difficult to control the vehicle. I immediately shifted into neutral and focused on keeping the wheel steady to avoid triggering the wheel lock, which could have caused me to lose control and crash. I was forced to coast to a stop, barely managing to find a narrow sliver of space on the median of an on-ramp to the express lane. However, even then, my vehicle was still partially blocking the right lane of the express toll lane and partially in the on-ramp. There was nowhere safe to go, no way to restart the truck, and I couldn’t exit the vehicle due to high-speed traffic surrounding me on both sides. I sat in my disabled truck, utterly exposed, fearing for my life as cars sped past me at 70+ mph. I kept imagining the worst—that an inattentive driver would slam into me, causing a catastrophic accident. Thankfully, after several harrowing minutes, a police officer arrived to block traffic behind me, and another cruiser blocked the entrance to the express lane. Only then did I feel a shred of relief. This was one of the most terrifying experiences I’ve ever endured, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Afterward, I learned that my 6.2L L87 engine had spun the main bearing and now requires a complete engine replacement. In researching this issue, I discovered that the NHTSA is already investigating similar failures in vehicles equipped with this engine. Alarmingly, I also spoke with my Uber driver on the way home, who told me he experienced the exact same failure in his 2023 Escalade with the 6.2L engine. Thankfully, his failure occurred at a red light rather than at highway speeds

I purchased this vehicle new in August of 2024. Approximately 2 months ago when the temperatures outside temperatures started falling below freezing, I would frequently get a message, "reduced acceleration, drive with care" pop-up on the center screen, and the check engine light would illuminate. This happens almost every time the outside air temperatures are below 28-30 degrees. Occasional the truck engine loses power and acceleration, but not always. This code pops-up regardless of the engine temperatures. It has been to the dealer where I bought it each time, and they state that GMC told them it is normal. They reset the computer, and the check engine light goes out until I run the truck in temperatures below 30 degrees. The dealer has been great with me, but dealer reports GMC will not cover their services under warranty as GMC reports this is normal. This condition happens unannounced and almost all the time in cold temperatures. It has happened at least 12 times. The performance can be a safety issue when this condition comes about, and you're driving in traffic. I opened a case with GMC on Thursday, January 16, 2025. It is case number [XXX]. I spoke with Graham, the customer service representative who reported that this issue will be escalated to the regional CE Manager because of the frequency that this is happening. Graham reported to me that this CE Manager will be in touch within 2 business days which would be Monday, January 20, 2025. I received a call mid-day on Wednesday January 22, 2025 from a woman from General Motors. I was at work at my full-time job and could not speak very long. I asked if she could call me after 4:30 PM when I was done working, and she replied "sure, we can make that happen." She advised me to get my truck to the dealership. I was driving on the highway and my truck went black and engine stopped no power to truck. It was very scary. I pulled over and it was in Neutral and somehow got it into park. The car never would turn over. The truck is at midway motors with metal shavings in the engines. They say it locked up and needs replaced. GM is very difficult to work with and won’t give us any information. I’m scared of the truck.

I was driving my truck on Friday, [XXX], at approximately 50 m.p.h. The tires suddenly locked up and skidded momentarily and then released. Then a very loud clanging noise started in the engine. I lost power and coasted to the side of the road. Then the engine stalled. The truck was towed to Keeweenaw Chevy/GMC in Houghton, Michigan. I was later contacted by the Service Department and informed that the engine had indeed blown and a new engine would need to be installed. Engines are on LONG backorder. I was lucky I wasn't traveling 65 m.p.h or on snow covered roads, as this incident could have then resulted in a complete loss of control and hitting a logging truck head on. The truck was towed to a local dealer where they later told me the engine had seized up and needed to be replaced. The truck is a 2024 model that I had purchased new two months earlier. It only had 4,533 miles on it. I was driving at highway speeds and had to coast into a gas station parking lot. I was able to coast to safety, but losing power at highway speeds certainly increases the chance of having an accident.

November 15 I was driving home from work as the truck started jerking. The system was giving me an engine failure drive with caution warning. I pulled over and decided the turn off the truck and turn it back on. Once I turned it back on it was revving on its own. I decided to turn it off again and it stopped revving but the gears would not shift. You were physically able to switch them but as much as you pressed on the gas to reverse it would not. I had to have it towed to the dealership I purchased it at. It has been 3 months and the part that is needed is still on back order. I placed a compliant with GM and they opened a case but nothing has happened yet as far as getting an ETA on the part.

On December 25, 2024, my vehicle completely stalled in the middle of the highway while travelling at 65 mph. Fortunately there were no vehicles travelling in close proximity to me at the time as my speed rapidly decreased. The abrupt stall required me to pull over to the side of the road to attempt to restart. I was unable to restart the vehicle despite numerous attempts. Jump starting was also unsuccessful. I was left stranded 90 miles away from home in freezing temperatures during a snowstorm on Christmas night. My vehicle was towed to a dealership 140 miles from home as GM would not cover the cost of towing to the dealer closest to my home (68 miles away). After numerous phone calls with GM as well as the GM dealer, I was informed 9 days later that my entire engine (6.2L V8) would need replaced. I was also informed that there are two vehicles ahead of mine that require replacement of their engines and that the engines are back-ordered. They have been unable to provide an estimated timeframe on when my vehicle will be returned to me in working condition, stating it "could be months." When I was informed of the need for an engine replacement, I placed a request for a manufacturer repurchase which was ultimately denied the following week. The agent responsible for managing my case informed me that "GMC requires two to three major failures" before they will consider a repurchase approval. The dealership was not able to provide me a loaner vehicle and I was informed that GM only reimburses $44 per day toward a rental vehicle. My occupation and location require reliable transportation in harsh winter conditions so a truck is the only reasonable option. The dealership charges $75 per day to rent a basic truck. Prior to this incident, the vehicle did not have any major issues and received routine maintenance services as recommended by the manufacturer. It was never involved in any accidents. It only had 17,553 miles and was purchased brand new in October 2023.

I was waiting in a parking lot to pick up the kids from school. In park, the truck loses power and almost completely shuts down. When it Reva back up there was a horrible hammering noise. I turn the truck off. Then I called the dealership and told them. I cranked it and recorded it for them and then shut it off. Then the tow truck couldn’t tow and it took two hours to get it loaded because of the features locking things down. It has been 29 days before the finally told me it needs a whole new engine. They still will not tell me why though.

Engine started making noises. I had it towed to dealership to get it diagnosed. Dealership called me next morning to get information on what vehicle was doing. I called dealership that same evening and they informed me that the engine locked up on the tech diagnosing the issue, and I was going to need a new engine.

Since brand new, the engine makes a significantly loud chirping sound at two occasions. First is every time the fuel saving auto start kicks in to start acceleration. The other is any time you come to a stop from above 25-35 MPH. At around 16 MPH, there is a loud chirping as you decelerate. This appears to be a timing malfunction and is affecting fuel economy. The vehicle has 8,800 miles on it, and it is getting worse. It has been looked at 4 times and has not been identified. I know there was a GM bulletin from 2022 about this 6.2L V8 Engine, but they state it is "normal". I have never heard a normal sound of this kind from an engine. And certainly not on a $75K vehicle. Please investigate and make them correct the issue or replace the engines. people work too hard to afford nice vehicles, and should not have to deal with this issue.

My truck was put on an engine oil consumption plan at ~14,000 milee. Then a month later the engine complete seized while i was driving at 60 mph in the middle of southeast Missouri. The dashboard started flashing with a warning saying that I needed to press the start button. The vehicle came to a stop and i was unable to get it to turn over. I currently have a warranty claim with GM amd the vehicleis at Laura GMC in Collinsvill, IL awaiting a replacement engine. I have no confidence in GMs ability to fully resolve the issue. My life has been completely disrupted as a result of their lack of quality controls.

Truck thinks I’m about to run into something and slams on its brakes. Last time it sent my sister to the hospital to get 6 staples in her head. Digital cluster goes on and off as well as the infotainment center. Transmission bangs and shifts horribly. 900 miles on the truck with a check engine light and transmission warning.

The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power with the message "Engine Power Reduced" and the vehicle was unable to accelerate above 5 MPH. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure or provide a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

Exactly what was described in the N192220080 Recall on New Model 2019 Chevy Silverados in cold climates (Like Utah winters) so at 45,280 miles the oil line popped out just like the recall described There were no oil leaks or signs of oil loss in the driveway where the truck is parked. My [XXX] wife (The owner of this vehicle) was only 6 miles from our house on the way to a doctors appt when the “Oil Pressure Low Turn Vehicle Off” light came on. Luckily she wasn't on the freeway so was able to pull into a neighborhood where all of the oil shot out of the engine due to the oil cooler line detaching. Since the N192220080 excluded other trucks made in the same factory as the once recalled in Alaska & Canada, we received no warning of a potential issue like this existing for this model of Silverado. It is also concerning that a known faulty part in all New Model 2019 Silverado 1500s was only recalled in Alaska & Canada. But if we had purchased this truck and registered the vehicle in Alaska, it would have at that point qualified for the free recall replacement instead of the $1,600 bill we were blindsided with (Plus, if she was on the freeway and couldn't immediately pull over, we would have had a seized engine so the truck would have been nearly totaled) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

To Whom It May Concern, This is a brand new 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 Diesel Truck with 4,000 miles. The first incident occurred when I was doing about 5 mph. The truck maintained its speed without my foot on the gas pedal and the cruise control was not on. Then when I tapped the gas pedal, everything return to normal. The second incident was about 2 weeks later in which the same thing happened. The third incident which was about one week later, I was doing about 5 mph and the truck accelerated on its own. I let the truck accelerate to approximately 28 mph. At that point I hit the brakes to stop the vechicle and pulled over. The truck was idling very high so I turned off the engine. All the ignition lighting remained on, but the truck would not restart. Even after removing the keys from the vehicle the ignition lighting remained on. At that point the truck had be towed back to the dealership which is Rainbow Buick, GMC in Covington, Louisiana. I've been told by the Rainbow Service Department that they do not know what's wrong with the truck. It's been sitting there for 10 days now was a dead battery. My salesman who I don't really believe, said he has the exact same truck and it happen to his tuck at 30,000 miles. I file a claim with GMC Customer Support but have yet to hear from them. I'm obviously very disappointed with my new truck, my salesperson, and service department. If there's anything you can do to help please let me know! I was stopped at a light while I was in drive. While I was waiting for the light to change the truck shut off suddenly with no warning. The dash message said to restart truck. I had to put it back in park then hit the push button to restart truck. It started right away. The truck had enough fuel and no reason to shut off on its own. The truck has less than 1,200 miles when this occurred. The truck had a shudder when it downshifted prior to this happening and then shut off about a minute later. Some shuddering seems to be the way the truck downshifts. This is dangerous if you have to just slow down and takeoff again and then it shuts off on it’s own. This can cause a crash.

I was driving my vehicle, with my 9-year-old son in the back, when it seemed to completely lose power and shut down (while I was driving!). The power steering, brakes, and gas all gave out. I was able to steer myself toward the side of the road where I waited for a tow. The vehicle would not start, nor would it shift into neutral, which led to towing challenges. This is a 2024 vehicle that I've had for about eight months, and it completely gave out while I was driving with a child in the back, which is a significant safety concern. Nobody at the dealership or GMC is able to offer anything with respect to information on how or why this happened and what you are doing to resolve the issue. From what I see online, this is a known issue that GMC is likely to be sued for in the future.
