THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT UNKNOWN PARTS RELATED TO THE AIR BAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V324000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100.

AS I WAS LEAVING LAS VEGAS ON I 15, I GOT A MESSAGE OF REDUCED POWER. I WAS JUST OUT OF HEAVY TRAFFIC, TRAVELING ABOUT 70 MPH, WHEN THE ENGINE SLOWED TO ABOUT 1,000 RPM WITH OUT WARNING. FOUND OUT LATER THAT IT WAS A BROKEN LEAD WIRE TO THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. THE TRUCK HAD ABOUT 37,000 MILES ONIT. THE TRUCK IS A 2007 2500HD WITH 6.0 ENGINE. THE TRUCKI HAS NEVER BEEN WORKED ON,AND IS LINE NEW. DEALER INSTALLED P/N 88986255 CONNECTOR. I RECEIVED HALF OR THE COST BACK AFTER CALLING GMC. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM.
