SAME THING AS ALREADY LISTED. MY RADIO, WIPERS AND WINDOWS STOPPED WORKING. THE RADIO WILL RANDOMLY COME ON BUT IF YOU TRY TO USE THE WIPERS OR ROLL DOWN A WINDOW IT SHUTS ALL 3 DOWN. FOUND THROUGH RESEARCH THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND REQUIRES THE BODY CONTROL MODULE TO BE REPLACED. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 GMC YUKON. ON APRIL 20, 2009, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 20 MPH. THERE HAD BEEN NO PRIOR FAILURES WITH THE TRANSMISSION SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE USED IN JANUARY OF 2009. IN ADDITION, THERE WERE ALIGNMENT ISSUES THAT CAUSED THE TIRES TO EXPLODE, TIE ROD FAILURE, BRAKE FAILURE, AND THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYS THE INCORRECT AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. UPDATED 5/27/09 *CN THE UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS, LOWER BALL JOINTS, IDLER ARM, STEERING GEAR, RACK AND PINION WERE ALL REPLACED. UPDATED 06/02/09.*JB

MY YUKON WOULD NOT START I WAITED 5 MINUTES AND THEN IT STARTED. THE NEXT TIME IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL I WAITED OVER NIGHT IT STILL WOULD NOT START. I HAVE TALKED TO ALOT OF PEOPLE AND THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR

MY VEHICLE WILL NOT START PERIODICALLY WHILE IT IS RAINING OR THE HUMIDITY IS VERY HIGH. DURING THIS TIME, THE SECURITY LIGHT WILL BLINK AND YOU MUST WAIT A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES BEFORE IT WILL START AGAIN. THERE HAS BEEN ONE CASE WHEN THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED DURING DRIVING AND LOST ALL POWER (STEERING, BRAKES, ETC). THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND OUT WHY THIS WAS OCCURRING. THE KEY CYLINDER WAS REPLACED BASED ON A "PASSLOCK" ERROR CODE IN THE ECU. THIS HAS NOT RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE VISITED MANY WEBSITES AND FOUND THIS TO BE A PRETTY COMMON PROBLEM WITH CHEVROLET AND GMC SUVS AND ACROSS MANY YEARS OF PRODUCTION. *JB

GM HAS AN ANTI-THEFT DEVICE CALLED A PASSLOCK. THE SYSTEMS SEEMS TO BE FAULTY ON A VERY LARGE NUMBER OF THEIR VEHICLES. IT MAKES THE AUTO NOT START AND MAYBE EVEN SOMETIMES DIE WHILE RUNNING. I'M QUITE CONCERNED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THE ENGINE FAILING WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $400 - $500 TO FIX IT.*AK

POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL FAILURE CAUSING SECURITY LIGHT TO COME ON WHICH THEN CAUSES THE ENGINE TO STALL AND NOT START, CONSUMER HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. *SLC

BASICALLY CONSUMER WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH ABS BRAKING SYSTEM. WHEN APPLYING BRAKE PEDAL, PEDAL STUCK AND RUINED ROTORS. ALSO, AIR CONDITIONING WENT OUT THREE TIMES DUE TO A HOLE INSIDE OF VENT AREA. *AK CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON DUE TO FAULTY HARNESS. TRANSMISSION SLIPS ON ACCELERATION. THE ENGINE RUNS ROUGH AT IDLE. BUTTON ON LEFT FRONT SEAT RATTLES. RIGHT FRONT OUTER BRAKE PAD WAS WORN. VEHICLE PULLS LEFT WHEN APPLYING BRAKE. *YH
ONGOING PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE NOT STARTING DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL SHORT. VEHICLE BEEN IN / OUT OF DEALER SHOP ON THREE OCCASIONS, AND PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING. *AK *ML
THE METAL HYDRAULIC BRAKE LINE RUNNING FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY RUPTURED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LOSE ITS BRAKING POWER WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN. THIS LINE CROSSES THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND THEN RUNS ON TOP OF THE FRAME JUST UNDER WHERE THE BATTERY IS LOCATED. AFTER INSPECTING AND FINDING THE HOLE IT WAS VERY APPARENT THAT BATTERY ACID/CORROSION HAD DRIPPED ONTO THE LINE,, CAUSING IT TO BE EATEN AWAY. THE BATTERY IS ORGINAL EQUIPMENT AND MAINTANANCE FREE.
