TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT NOTICED A LEAK UNDER THE HOOD OF HIS VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED HIM TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE HYDRO BOOST FAILED. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY $861 TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC INFORMED HIM THAT HE COULD HAVE RUN OUT OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKE FLUID, AND THE SEAL FAILED AND WAS LEAKING. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF ONE 11 YEAR OLD SON. I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A 2004 GMC YUKON AND I HAVE SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS. I HAVE A LOUD POPPING NOISE IN MY STEERING COLUMN AND MY SPEEDOMETER IS OPERATING VERY ERRATICALLY. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MY LOCAL GMC DEALER THAT THESE PROBLEMS ARE NOT COVERED. MY CONCERN IS IF I SHOULD BE KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE BECAUSE I CAN NOT TELL HOW FAST I AM TRAVELING WHEN THE FRONT STEERING BREAKS DUE TO A STEERING COMPONENT FAILURE WHO WILL RAISE MY SON THE STATE OR GMC?
