This Problem Across All Years
It started shutting off at a light for autostop.but when it would turn green it would intermittently just drop out of autostop without restarting. Then may start back up or maybe not, many time after restarting at the light it would died in the middle of the inspection. A parasitic draw kept killing the accessory 12 V battery replaced the 12 V battery but the problem continued. When the truck was running it would run flawlessly,before stalling. The code said to replace the auxiliary fluid pump. I had it a new auxiliary fluid pump installed. After this the vehicle wouldnt crank. They then worked through a service bulliten fixing a list of areas were the harness was chaffed and shorted. The truck has been out of commission the past 10 months and intermittently started twice during this time, it ran rough for 5 mins and died out at the first stop sign and wont crank again. Some times it will crank but not start.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE AND THE BODY CONTROL MODULE WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER (ALLEN GWYNN CHEVROLET, GLENDALE, CA, 844-636-8480) SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. WHEN THE CONTACT ARRIVED FOR THE APPOINTMENT, THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.

AFTER THE DELAY, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD DOWN SHIFT AND I THINK IT DOWN SHIFTS TO EITHER 1ST OR 2ND GEAR CAUSING THE SUV TO ROAR LIKE CRAZY AND SHOOTS OUT LIKE A CANNON. I HAD AN INCIDENT WHERE THE COPS GAVE ME A WARNING WITH THE LIGHTS AND SIREN PROBABLY THINKING THAT I WAS DRIVING RECKLESSLY. THERE WERE ALSO INCIDENTS WHERE I'VE HAD THE GAS PEDAL PRESSED DOWN ABOUT 80%-90% TRYING TO CLIMB A MILD ELEVATION AND EITHER THE ENGINE AND OR TRANSMISSION STARTED TO CHOKE. MANY TIMES, I HAD TO SWERVE BACK IN TO ORIGINAL LANE IN FEAR OF CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. BECAUSE OF THIS, I DON'T EVEN LET MY WIFE DRIVE THE VEHICLE.
