Clarion Radio head, Honda part 39101-T3W-A71. Radio is removed from car at this point and may be inspected, awaiting service. Speakers produce full volume static, especially correlated to a hot day. Static is unavoidable, occurs whether or not system is powered on or off. Source input also does not matter. Restarting car also does not fix issue. Safety is at risk by causing hearing loss and distracted/inattentive driving. Car is not drivable as long as this full volume static is occurring. Honda surely knows about this issue, there are wide reports of this issue on you tube and online discussion boards.

We are writing to bring to your attention a concerning issue with our 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L, which we purchased from the SF Honda dealership. Over the past few weeks, we’ve experienced a loud static noise coming from the audio unit — even when the audio is turned off. The only way to stop the noise is to put the car in park, turn it off, and restart it. Unfortunately, this solution is inconsistent, as the noise sometimes persists even after restarting. The sound is deafening and extremely distracting, which raises serious safety concerns for us. This is not just an inconvenience — it’s a significant hazard while driving. After researching the issue online, we discovered that this appears to be a known problem among Honda owners. Here is a video that reflects exactly what we’re experiencing: [XXX] . Given the safety implications, we are very concerned and would appreciate your assistance in looking into this safety issue. We have brought this to the attention of our local dealership, as well as Honda corporate offices. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

WHEN YOU ACCELERATE ON THE GAS THE CAR JUMPS AND YOU CAN FEEL IT IN THE GAS PEDAL. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO HONDA AND THEY CAN NOT FIGURE IT OUT SINCE NO ONE ELSE HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT IT. DOESN'T JUMP ALL THE TIME BUT MOSTLY WHEN I AM OVER 40 MPH, SOMETIMES IT HAS JUMPED AS SOON AS I HAVE TAKEN OFF

WHILE DRIVING 6 WARNING LIGHTS POP UP ON THE DASH AND THE BRAKES FAIL. THE INFORMATION CENTER OF THE DASH SCROLLS THROUGH SAYING "BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM", "VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST (VSA) PROBLEM", "HILL START ASSIST PROBLEM", "COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM", "ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM", "ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM". THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ON SUBURBAN ROADWAYS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS BREAKING WHILE APPROACHING A RED LIGHT AND NEARLY REAR ENDED THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME. A DIAGNOSTIC WAS DONE AND THE BRAKE SIMULATOR AND TANDEM MOTOR WERE DETERMINED TO REQUIRE REPLACEMENT.

I'M NOT SURE BUT I THINK IT'S THE REGENERATIVE BRAKES. THEY CAME ON SO HARD WHEN I LET OFF THE GAS. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED AND THE GUY BEHIND ME WAS PISSED OFF. I WAS ON THE 15 FWY GOING ABOUT 70 WHEN I LET OFF THE GAS AND THE BRAKES SLAMMED ON. AND ON COST HWY GOING ABOUT 30 MPH LET OFF THE GAS AND THE BRAKES SLAMMED ON.

THE HEAD RESTRAINTS IN THE HONDA ACCORD (2017) ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE AND FORWARD-LEANING THAT THEY CAUSE DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS TO DRIVE IN A "CHIN DOWN" POSITION. THIS IS CAUSING MUSCULOSKELETAL ISSUES THAT WILL LIKELY REQUIRE ATTENTION AND TREATMENT IN THE NEAR AND DISTANT FUTURE.
