Forward collision warning stopped working after a system upgrade on my 2019 Honda Accord hybrid. I activate the forward support and immediately it turns off. This is a safety issue. The system assist in breaking in time to maintain car distance and avoid a collision. Contacted Honda. I was told to take it to service at my cost.

Suddenly I get warnings of failure of adaptive cruise control, failure of braking, stearing and forward collision warning failure. It goes away if I drive my vehicle for few miles but then suddenly appears again. No one seems to know what is the issue. I tried to reset setting multiple times, checked system updates and checked battery etc, asked to check if there are any faulty codes but no one seem to know what is going on. It keeps happening every day

Mid October 2023, we driving on the freeway and the car started to slow down on its own. We could not accelerate to match the speed of cars around us or to get the speed limits in a 55 to 65 zone, making it dangerous for us and others to continue driving on the freeway at extremely slow/low speeds. We towed it the dealership, who said it was defective spark plugs. This car was only 4 years old with extremely low millage and the spark plugs should've last a lot longer. They changed the spark plugs under warranty. Late November 2024, we were getting off the freeway and the check engine light came on but there were no service codes. Everything was running normally except for the engine was making a loud noise. We parked at a shopping center and approximately 30 minutes later, restarted the car and all these messages and icons appeared for: Vehicle stability assistant system problem, Hill start assistant problem, ACC, Collision Mitigation breaking system problem, Road departure mitigation system problem, Emissions system problem, TPMS, Brake system problem, Electric power steering system problem. Towed it dealership and after an hour of diagnostics testing, they said it’s the spark plugs again! Just a little over a year and 2 out of 4 spark plugs are bad again. This is not right. We hardly drive this car and it’s only a little over a year since the spark plugs were replaced and a little over 5 years since we got the car brand new. Spark plugs are supposed to last 10 years or 100,000 miles and we’re not close to either. This time they said it's not covered under warranty and is over $800.

There is an issue going on in which the door lock actuators within the Door Latch Assembly are failing. This issue happened to my vehicle and through a Google search you can see that it's happening to several others. Because of this issue, the doors of the vehicle will not open via remote unlock, only via manual insertion of the key and physically unlocking the other doors. In a situation where you need to quickly enter your vehicle, this is very problematic. Additionally, if I choose to remote start the vehicle, as soon as I use the physical key to unlock the driver side door, the vehicle turns off essentially negating the remote start. I went to the dealership and used the diagnostic device to determine that these devices were failing electronically and I had to have both of my left side assemblies replaced at a high cost.

Car makes a highly audible hum resonance at 45-55 mph. This sounds like a very load wheel bearing issue but it apparently related to auto noise reduction system putting the sound through the speakers. This is a known Honda issue they need to fix, shouldn't happen on a nearly new car.

The malfunctioning component is the electronic door lock system of my 2019 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid, specifically the driver's side door. This problem persists and is available for inspection. The failure of this system posed a safety risk as it prevents secure access and egress from the vehicle. I was unable to unlock my vehicle using the electronic key fob or the interior lock/unlock button, which could pose a problem in emergency situations where quick exit from the vehicle is required. The problem has been reproduced over a period of 6-8 weeks, with the issue becoming consistent and isolated to the driver's side door. The issue has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center yet, nor has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. My car has recently aged out of warranty and given the experiences of others online, I don't have the money to hand over to the dealer for diagnostic fees with zero resolution. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the issue's occurrence. It started sporadically, sometimes affecting different doors, but in recent weeks, it has been a consistent problem with the driver's door. This problem isn't exclusive to my vehicle. I've read online forums where others, even with different models of Honda Accords, have encountered similar issues, suggesting this could be a common issue across certain models. One person described a similar, erratic door lock behavior where the failure would switch from door to door. It was speculated that the issue could be either software-related or potentially a faulty relay that couldn't supply power to all the actuators simultaneously. Given these circumstances, I think it's crucial to investigate this matter further, as it poses both a security and safety risk for Honda Accord users.

Vehicle repeatedly experiences a "cylinder misfire error" when driving above 45 mph. The check engine light will flash and the car surges like it is stalling. Loss of the ability to accelerate when it occurs. Also, the car shakes violently when the vehicle comes to a stop before turning off the engine. Many times, after restarting problem temporarily stops. I have taken it to the dealership multiple times, but problem is unsolved. Happens at least once a week. Started at 58,000 miles. More recently, the vehicle experiences a safety system failure when driving above 45 mph. 10 system warning lights were activated and will continually appear on instrument panel. Warning lights activated: 1. Hill Start Assist Problem 2. Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem 3. Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem 4. Road Departure Mitigation System Problem 5. Emission System Problem 6. Tire Pressure Monitor System Problem 7.Brake System Problem 8. Electric Power Steering System Problem 9.Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem 10. Brake Hold System Problem

VERY LOUD ROARING NOISE WHEN DRIVING ABOUT 50 MPH IN COLD WEATHER ON A HIGHWAY. THIS NOT ENGINE NOISE, BUT SEEMS TO A GLITCH IN THE AUTOMATIC NOISE CANCELLING SYSTEM THAT CAUSES A FEEDBACK LOOP RESULTING IN AN ALARMING ROARING SOUND THAT CAN CAUSE DRIVER TO PANIC OR OTHERWISE BE DISTRACTED FROM DRIVING SAFELY.

Jan 7, 2021 Crash

ON DECEMBER 26, 2020, I WAS LEAVING WORK, AFTER A 12 HOUR SHIFT AT THE HOSPITAL. WHILE BACKING INTO AN ALLEYWAY MY CAR STRUCK A LARGE ROLL-OFF DUMPSTER (WHICH WAS CADDY CORNERED IN THE ALLEY) OF THE BACK, DRIVER QUARTER PANEL AND BACK DRIVER DOOR. THE REARVIEW CAMERA, BLIND SPOT WARNING, PARKING COLLISION WARNING, THE REAR CROSS TRAFFIC WARNING, NOR THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING KICKED IN. I WAS GOING AT A VERY LOW SPEED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT (~1-2 MPH). MY CAR HAD BEEN WARMED UP PRIOR TO GETTING IN IT.I DID NOT SPEND OVER 40K ON A VEHICLE FOR THE THE SAFETY FEATURES TO NOT WORK WHEN YOU NEED THEM TO. I HAVE NOTICED THAT I HAVE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH MY LANE DEPARTURE WARNING AND THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING HAS BEEN NOT WORKING 100% OF THE TIME RECENTLY, BUT THAT NEVER BOTHERED ME BEFORE. WHAT IS UPSETTING IS THAT I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO HAVE HONDA REPLACE THE FRONT SENSOR DUE TO MY CAR THROWING CODES (LKAS, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL & FRONT COLLISION WARNING) NOT FUNCTIONING, AS WELL AS MY BACK DRIVER DOOR LOCK (ALREADY GONE BAD). NOW THIS. MY CAR ISN'T EVEN 2 YEARS OLD.I TOOK MY CAR BY MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP (PRIORITY HONDA OF ROANOKE) ON 12/30/20 WHERE I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT AMERICAN HONDA BECAUSE OF THE RECALL ON THE BCM ON MY CAR AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS MOST LIKELY CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACCIDENT. AFTER CONTACTING AMERICAN HONDA I WAS BASICALLY TOLD THAT IT IS NOT A SAFETY RECALL BUT A "NON-COMPLIANCE" RECALL AND THAT THE SAFETY FEATURES THEY BOAST ABOUT ARE NOT ACTUAL SAFETY FEATURES OF THE CAR AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON IN ANY CASE. SO, THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES. THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE AND I AM THANKFUL THAT IT WASN'T, BUT I AM STILL SICKENED OVER THIS! I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW CAR FOR ITS SAFETY FEATURES THAT DON'T WORK, TO BE TOLD BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THEY ARE NOT LIABLE FOR THEIR PRODUCT NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.

THE MAJOR PROBLEM IS THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WILL NOT ACTIVATE WHEN SOMEBODY BETWEEN 65 POUNDS AND 89 POUNDS SET IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. HONDA OWNER'S MANUAL ON PAGE 63 STATES THAT THE AIR BAG IS ACTIVATED AT 65 POUNDS. IN THE YEAR THAT WE HAVE HAD THIS CAR, WITH MY WIFE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIR BAG HAS NEVER BEEN ACTIVE. THE SEAT BELL WARRING WILL SAY PUT ON SEAT BELT, BUT THE AIR BAG WILL NEVER ACTIVATE WHILE DRIVING. SEE ATTACHED EMAIL TO NHTSA AND HONDA IN FEBRUARY, APRIL AND MAY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST YEAR, BUT IT STARTED IN JUNE 2019 AND IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING. ATTACHED ALSO IS THE SERVICE REPORT FROM CHAPMAN HONDA THAT WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT THE VARIOUS PROBLEMS.*DT CONSUMER STATED HE IS HAVING ISSUES WITH THE SUN ROOF, WOULD NOT CLOSE ON A RAINY DAY.*JB

CAR SUDDENLY BRAKES, PANIC BREAKING, WITH NO WARNING AND FOR NO REASON, CAUSING ME TO BE IN DANGER OF HITTING FROM BEHIND AS THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME CAUSING THE PEOPLE BEHIND TO SLOW. ONCE THIS HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE, WITH ALL 3 LANES CLEAR IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS SURPRISED THE GUY BEHIND BE DIDN'T HIT ME, AS MOST DRIVERS ARE FOLLOWING TO CLOSE, COUNTING ON SEEING ANY DANGER IN FRONT OF THEM THROUGH MY WINDSHIELD, AND IN THIS CASE THERE WAS NOTHING.

2ND OCCURENCE-WHILE DRIVING UP A HILL AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH THE WARNINGS FOR BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE, ACC, LANE DEPARTURE MITIGATIONAND COLLISION DETECTION CAME ON. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS TOLD THAT THE SENSOR HAD BEEN DISLODGED. THIS TIME THEY ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS A CRACK IN THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY WHICH SET OFF THE WARNING SYSTEM. THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND A NEW BRAKE ASSEMBLY IS NEEDED. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK FINE. EVEN IF THEY WERE BOTH CONTROLLED BY THE SAME COMPUTER, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON AN OUTPUT FROM THE COMPUTER OR PEDAL SWITCH. THE WARNING SEEMS TO INDICATE THERE MIGHT BE PROBLEM WITH THE SENSOR WHICH WOULD BE AN INPUT SYSTEM. CONTROL, SENSORS, AND INDICATION SYSTEMS HAVE SEPARATE ELECTRICAL PATHS EVEN IF MANAGED BY THE SAME COMPUTER. SO THEIR "DIAGNOSIS" SEEMS HIGHLY UNLIKELY.
