SHEET METAL DIRECTLY ABOUT THE GAS FILLER ACCESS DOOR ALONG LEFT REAR WHEEL WELL, SIMILAR DAMAGE NOTICED ON RANDOM SAME MAKE MODEL YEARE AUTO'S. POSSIBLE DUE TO POOR MOISTURE DRAINAGE.
DOOR LOCKS ARE AUTOMATICALLY OPERATING PROPERLY EXCEPT THAT YOU CAN NOT OPEN THE DOOR ON DRIVER SIDE. OBVIOUSLY, THE POWER LOCK ON THIS SIDE IS ALSO OPERATING FINE. I BELIEVE THAT THE HOOK AT THE DOOR LOCK WAS NOT ABLE TO RELEASE. THIS WILL CAUSE SAFETY PROBLEM SERIOUSLY. *AK
DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE BREAKS, CANT OPEN DOOR FROM INSIDE OF CAR. I KNOW OF 3 OTHER PEOPLE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO.*AK
ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, A LARGE RUST SPOT IS CONTINUING TO FORM DIRECTLY ABOVE THE REAR WHEEL WELL. THIS SPOT HAS BEEN INCREASING IN SIZE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER FEELS THE SPOT IS A DEFECT; THEY HAVE SEEN THIS OCCUR IN THE PAST BUT ALSO SAY HONDA VIEWS THE PROBLEM DIFFERENTLY. *AK
DRIVERS SIDE LATCH FAILED AND DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF CAR. THE ONLE ENTRANCE OR EXIT IS THROUGH THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF CAR WHICH IS DIFFICULT; IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE IF INJURED.*AK

THE PLASTIC INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY BROKE, MAKING DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE BOTHE THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS. EVERYONE I KNOW WITH A HONDA ACCORD OF THIS YEAR HAS THE SAME DANGEROUS PROBLEM. PLEASE NOTE THE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS POSTED ALREADY. *AK
DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S DOOR HANDLES BROKE. OCCUPANTS WERE UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOORS FROM INSIDE WHICH MAY TRAP AN OCCUPANT UNLESS GOING THROUGH THE REAR DOORS. *AK
THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCKED AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO OPEN IT. MY WIFE HAD TO EXIT BY THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM EITHER OUTSIDE OR INSIDE.
INSIDE HANDLE OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR IS OFF, AND THE HANDLE ON PASSENGER'S SIDE IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF ALSO. CONSUMER SAYS THAT PLASTIC CRACKED, CAUSING THE HANDLE TO FALL OFF. THIS COULD BE A SAFETY CONCERN IF CONSUMER HAD TO GET OUT OF THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. *AK

METAL ABOVE THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL WELLS IS RUSTING AND PAINT IS COMING OFF( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: HR7014R )
THE HYDRAULIC SHOCKS THAT SUPPORT THE HATCHBACK GAVE WAY, CAUSING THE DOOR TO COME CRASHING DOWN ON OWNER'S HEAD. OWNER SUSTAINED SEVERE INJURIES. OWNER HAS REPLACED THE SHOCKS.*AK.ET.
DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR HANDLE DEVELOPED A CRACK IN THE MIDDLE OF HANDLE, CAUSING DOOR TO BECOME INOPERATIVE. *AK
VEHICLES SHOULD BE CONSTRUCTED TO BETTER WITH STAND SIDE IMPACTS.
CONSUMER COMPLAINING THAT INNER DOOR PLASTIC PANEL IS CRACKING AND BREAKING FROM BOTH INNER FRONT DOORS. DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED CONSUMER THAT THEY ONLY REPLACED DEFECTIVE PARTS WITHIN 3 YEAR. DEALER WILL NOT REPAIR WITHOUT CHARGE TO THE CONSUMER. *AK

FOR NO APPARENT REASON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR JAMMED AND WOULD NOT OPEN. DRIVER HAD TO ENTER VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE. THE DOOR WAS REPAIRED IN MAY OF 97. *AK
WHEN TURNING TO THE LEFT, THE STEERING WAS VERY HARD. THE BOLTS ATTACHED TO THE RACK & PINION, AND THE FRONT CROSSMEMBER HAD DISCONNECTED. *AK
THE HYDRUALIC STRUTS THAT HOLD UP THE REAR HATCH SLAMS SHUT IN COLD WEATHER. *AK CONSUMER STATES THAT THE WEATHER IS NO LONGER AN ISSUE, HATCH HAS RECENTLY HIT CONSUMER IN THE HEAD WHEN IT WAS WARM OUTSIDE, CONSUMER AND HER CHILDREN HAVE HAD PAIN DUE TO THE HATCH FAILING. *SLC
