Driving and without warning steering light came on, display flickered, engine surged, and complete loss of steering in a matter seconds. I was barely able to turn car onto a driveway where the engine shutdown. I restarted engine and noticed considerable knocking, put car in gear and engine shut-off. I had car towed to a garage and am waiting for info. I should note that the previous month there has been some parasitic draw that requires me to jump start the car every few days even with a new battery.

System charging error prompts on the dash board continuously. Check my battery and it’s not my battery. Steering wheel light turned on and car began to lock and the whole dashboard started to flicker while I was driving . I was driving and my steering wheel locked on me always causing an accident. I tried getting a jump and my battery is fine. Then when I try to move the vehicle the steering wheel starts to lock up. My radio even started to reset and glitch and my system was shutting back on and off while I was driving.
In 2017, my vehicle was part of a Honda recall for the battery sensor. I had the recall service completed at Colerain Honda in Cincinnati, OH. Honda marked recall repair as completed in 2017, but the same defect has been ongoing since 2021 through today. I have had to replace multiple alternators and batteries, believing the recall repair (battery sensor issue) was properly resolved, but the issue persists. This raises concern that the recall work was either not done correctly or not done at all. The dealership has refused to provide records or assistance, leaving me to cover repair costs throughout the years. This is a safety and reliability concern that remains unresolved. When I contacted the dealership, they were unable or unwilling to provide documentation of the actual recall repair outside of "it's been completed, we can't see back that far", leaving me uncertain whether the work was properly performed and how they did it. I was also treated rudely and dismissed when requesting answers or proof. This raises a potential safety risk: If the recall repair was never done, my vehicle is still at risk of electrical fire or failure. If the repair was improperly performed, it could leave me and other drivers in danger. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether Honda and Colerain Honda fulfilled their recall obligations in this case.
Multiple issues having to do with battery replacement, Alternator, and starter. Discussed this same issue with Honda they have ignored the issue had the vehicle inspected by dealership multiple times and by local mechanics. The vehicles also for many years would lock steering wheel and starter would lock wouldn't allow driver to start also when vehicle starts it’s a full force at once and you feel the force. I am worried that’s there is an issue also when the fuel travels after it starts from the full force I had mentioned.
I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved and hazardous safety issue tied to a federally mandated recall on my 2015 Honda Accord (Recall #KH0 – Battery Management Sensor). The recall was eventually performed, but only after inappropriate pushback from the dealer due to my vehicle having a salvage title — which is irrelevant under federal recall law. The core issue is that this sensor regulates the electrical system and can cause overcharging or undercharging — which in my case, led to premature alternator failure. Honda’s own Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 17-069) acknowledges the link between BMS failure and electrical system damage. Furthermore, Honda’s own documentation acknowledges that many customers — particularly used car or private party buyers — were never properly notified of the Battery Management Sensor (BMS) recall. As a result, these customers may be unjustly denied warranty or reimbursement claims, through no fault of their own. This applies directly to my case. I had already replaced the alternator out of pocket due to failure, long before I was ever informed of the recall. Once I became aware of the issue and brought the car in, I was relieved that Honda performed the BMS recall repair, which resolved the dashboard alerts. However, it is unfair and unacceptable that Honda refuses to cover the damage the faulty system caused prior to the recall being completed — especially when I was never properly notified in the first place. This places the financial burden of a known safety defect onto the customer, despite the existence of a federally mandated recall directly linked to the damage.
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 60,300 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 242,000.

Power steering, brake, ABS light, traction light on. ABS module is bad and it’s a common issue with Honda accords. 2000 dollar job and dealership unable to repair due to being back order and vehicle is not safe to drive.
My steering wheel everytime i turn left completely turns my car off or stiffens when in reverse . I was driving to work on 05/03/2025 and my car completely turned off while turning left off the interstate
While making a left U-turn my car suddenly restarted which caused a loss of power steering and acceleration. This issue occurred 2 more times until I was able to straighten the car out into the intended lane of traffic. During the vehicle restart, I noticed several dash lights appear in the left area of the dashboard, however could not identify the meaning.

The contact stated the failure occurred while driving on a steep hill. The contact stated that a passerby stopped and assisted with getting the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway. The passerby connected battery cables to start the vehicle. The vehicle started and the contact drove the vehicle to a nearby Auto Parts store. The representative charged the battery overnight; however, the next day the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact stated that an elderly church member replaced the battery sensor; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.

Door locks will stop working randomly. Some doors will not lock or unlock. I took to metro honda once to get it fixed and again it is happening. The driver side back door never locks or unlocks. The other back door started doing the same this past week. And the passenger door wouldn’t lock or unlock but since taking it to metro it has worked. This will start happening randomly. Also, i have been having problems with the starter. I got it replaced one a couple months ago from a mechanic and again it will not turn on on the first try.
Getting error P2602 Low Voltage Coolant Pump. No visible sings of failure or damage to the pump or wiring. Tested power, ground, and signal and found them all to be ok. Vehicle has 133,000 miles. Engine is not running hot at all. Very cool to the touch, error P2602 causes car to go into limp mode and can not drive past 40 mph. Issue could be from Pump recalls from other honda models that used the same pump that is in the 2015 Honda Hybrids. Honda did not include 2015 Honda Hybrid in the recall when they should have, because its the same pump that was recalled in other hondas. Took the car to dealer in Auburn, WA, Hinshaw's Honda. Please get report from them. To get a second opinion took car to an independent Honda repair. Again same issue, stating pump replacement.
The charging system pops up on my dashboard even though I replaced the battery charging sensor and the battery. I got the alternator check and it was good so but the car stalls on me from time to time when I take off or when am driving.
The car is having starter issues. At times I can push the button and it will start right up. Then sometimes it takes several clicks. This a safety concern especially in a dangerous situation. There have been several complaints about this and Honda had yet to do anything. Hopefully someone addresses this soon!

The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Car first started showing issues with the charge system. The car would randomly not start and would require a jump start. I replaced the battery and the car worked fine for 2 weeks and then it just wouldn't start at all. A new alternator was put in and the care drove fine for 1 month. Took it back to dealer mechanic and he said he needed a new alternator. Got the alternator replace and care worked fine 2 months and then it was back to not starting or it wouldn't accelerate pass 20 mph and the power steering light would come on and the steering wheel would lock up. The tire traction light came on as well as the check engine and battery light ABS and emergency brake light. Took it to the mechanic he replaced the terminal post and components after the car would start at all even with a jump start. The car worked fine for 3 months and then it started cutting off in the middle of traffic on the road while driving it and would not cut back on. Took to the dealer and was told that it was a camshaft sensor. The camshaft sensors was replaced and the car started cutting off while driving it on the road and the steering wheel would lock up. All lights on the dashboard would come on including the power steering wheel, tire traction, check engine, emergency brake, battery light, ABS light. Radio would cut off and reset continuously while driving and make static pops. The car will continue to cut off while driving and cut back on at times or just not restart.
ABS Control Module with well known defects. Needs to be recalled. [XXX] . Many, many customers are having this issue, including me. I was told that the part is not available after market and the Honda Genuine part was quoted to me at $3,000 with low labor cost to the repair. Copy from another complaint, as I am having the same issue. Issue where multiple dashboard indicator lights coming on. Tire Pressure, ABS, Power Steering, and Traction Control lights specifically all on at the same time. Car typically drives fine but will intermittently not want to accelerate
While performing a normal U-Turn at a stop sign, I turned the wheel all the way to the left. When the wheel reached it's max rotation to the left, the Power Steering light on the dash flashed for a second, but at the same time the whole car turned off and then back on. I was stopped mid-turn until the car restarted. Not knowing what happened, I continued the turn slowly and when the wheel reached the max rotation the same light flicker and car restart happened. I tested once again while parked and confirmed that when I turn the wheel completely to the left, the car restarts. My safety was put at risk due to other cars at the stop sign not anticipating my car stopping in the middle of the intersection. No accidents or injuries occured. Based on limited research, it appears this is a defect that has been reported before for my make and model of car. I have not had my car inspected at this time. There were no previous indicators (warnings, messages, or symbols), prior to the failure.
When starting the car via push button start , there is a clicking sound. The battery was replaced fuses checked and sometimes it will start on the first push other times it takes 5 minutes. I had to start my car after I had to leave my car suddenly due to needing to enter a store asap to retrieve my wallet. Upon returning, one person clearly was attempting to enter my car who saw me than left. So I had to leave the area quickly. But the car just clicked when ignition button pushed. 6 mins later I was able to start it. The car only has 36000 miles on it. But I’ve had every thing checked, alternator, battery etc. the starter is the the obvious problem
Initially it started as ignition starter issues, now there seems to be what may be concluded as transmission issues. After doing research i see Hondas history of bad transmissions. Extremely low acceleration causes dangerous lane switching or merging with traffic, also the fear of it stalling and no longer working as I drive.

Car typically drives fine but will intermittently not want to accelerate and/or brakes are trying to apply themselves while trying to accelerate. This is a dangerous safety issue as I could be driving on the highway the car all of sudden would not continue accelerating. Short term Workaround is turning Traction Control off but does not last. In general issue seems to be electrical. Could be battery, ABS Module needing a reset to neutral, wheel speed sensors are bad, PCM Module faulty, fuel pump failing, VSA issue or needing a reset, faulty wiring, or a combination of all of these mentioned. I took to a Honda dealership (Mall of GA) and they could not resolve the issue and recommended a VSA Module replacement which is a $2000+ repair. This issue came up for me in mid-July 2023 and as of this post is still an issue. This should be recall as I keep seeing complaints about this online in various forums for 2012-2017 Honda Accords.
2015 has a bad ABS Modulator fail (Solenoid valve). My car only has ~75k miles. It seems this is a common error with 2010-2015 Honda Accords and presents a safety concern. Honda has not issued a recall.

There has been numerous reports on forums such as Reddit and also in most comments on youtube concerning the VSA solenoid valve malfunction and how it is a safety concern on almost all Honda Accord 12-17 . Recently, I have been a victim of this and the repair is so pricy that it is either I take a loan to fix it, or I become a risk to other road users. I would advise that NHTSA issue a recall on all Honda Accord trims (2012-2017) as most vehicles on the road will have this issue and will pose a safety concern to other road users.

I’ll start by saying my car is impeccably maintained at the Honda dealership! I have reached out to Honda and even emailed the hard of Honda motor corp in Japan and my cars problems. In the last 16 months my car has trouble starting , failed to start on several times , and for [XXX] reason the battery charging issue light comes on , as well as forward control warning light . It began last spring 2022. I need the main and rear seal replaced , a new battery eve though mine wasn’t a year old and was purchased and installed at the Honda dealer, it also needed a new alternator. Within 10-15 minutes of driving all the dashboard lights flashed smoke poured out of the engine.the car overheated while I was driving in the highway ! I was stranded in busy highway traffic . I also had a new battery cable replaced. That was between march and April of last year. All is documented and reported to Honda. Highly unusual for a 7 year old car with 50,000 to need 2 seals, a new battery each year for 3 years in a row , a new battery cable , and alternator . I also reported the car isn’t driving well . 1 year later and I need another alternator and a starter! In March The car wasn’t starting it made clicking noises - it needed a starter and now in July it the battery charging issue light was again flashing and needed another alternator . My car is nether safe nor reliable . There is no doubt my car has MAJOR electrical issues that are ongoing and unresolved.it is NOT just my Honda accord.the records show this.Please do something .I can not afford a new car . Honda says they are about safety but they are NOT ! With so many ongoing electrical problems it is not if but when something will happen. Problems began at 50,000 miles and now at 60,000 a year and 1/2 later they are ongoing . Electrical and engine …. Honda knows all the problems bless I am having are in many of their models! This is DANGEROUs and Honda is negligent ! First it was my car wouldn’t start. The alternator went also It needed to have the front and rear seal replaced . That is crazy ! It must be leaking oil and needed the seals due to improper torque. Had that repaired and within 2 weeks I kept saying it wasn’t running right. THEN My car overheated after driving for 10 min on a busy highway in Atlanta. Smoke pouring out of the hood. I was trapped and couldn’t get out because of traffic. HORRIFIC experience.! Electrical issue began at 50,000 miles at the same time . Electrical issues ongoing AND engine does not run right. It’s rough loud , judders , it can be sluggish or no responsive, Last year my car had 50,000 miles. It had gone through a battery every year and 1-2. Then 16 months ago it wouldn’t start. Since I have replace the starter , alternator , battery and battery cable. In individual events of warning lights or failing to start. Today the charging systems warning light and fcw light flashed while driving. The electrical system in this car is a known problem. It MUST be recalled. The 4cl has now time to recall the v-6 for torque and parasitic battery drain . This is potential for fire , car sudden loss of power it’s negligent to not recall . I have invoice after invoice but the problem persists . Why are you only recalling the 4L engine ? There is a class action about battery drain but only for 4 L? I know the didnt produce many accord V6 but the V6 is used in the Acura and I believe the Odysse. I have called and called Honda . I emailed the head of Honda in Japan . He sent my email back to the dealer. This is my 4th Honda. We were an entire Honda family but not any more . Safety is not first .My accord problems will result in a terrible accident . Please do something

Battery has been replaced 3 times. Starter is failing. It sometimes takes up to 15 minutes or more to crank my car making me late for work. Running errands/getting in & out of the car & having to turn the key 50 times in the heat of summer with a baby in the car is a safety hazard. Fuel pump issue when I put my car in reverse & start to back up, my car will die. Another safety hazard because I don’t have control of my car, it just keeps rolling backwards after it dies & doesn’t allow me to get out of the way if another vehicle is coming. Information center on the dashboard often tells me to check fuel cap. Anything happening in the fuel area is certainly hazardous. I’ve called the Honda dealership & they tell me my car is no longer under warranty. Yes, everything is available for inspection. The starter problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. The fuel cap notification appeared 2 weeks ago but the car has been dying in reverse for 2 years. The starter began failing 4 months ago with no help from the Honda dealership due to my warranty being expired.
After having my Honda Accord sport 2015 4 cylinder, I started to notice around 90k miles an occasional grinding noise when starting the car that is getting progressively worse. I've had previous Hondas with many more miles and never had this issue before. I believe the issue is the starter, but I have not been able to take it to the mechanic yet. I intend to go this weekend. I'd like to also state there have been numerous reports regarding starters for a V6 engine, and I believe it is the same for 4 cylinders.
My car will randomly say check charge system. I have got my battery and alternator both tested and they're both at Perfect working capacity I Google the problem and I found out there has been a recall in the past on the same issue with 2013 to 2016 models. And my car is having the same electrical issue my car runs and drive fine it does not turn off or anything but it just keeps on showing check charge system. The past recalls has been in the Rusted salt belt area and that is where I am in Massachusetts. It is the battery connector issue. Is the sensor that connects to the battery I guess that has been faulty in the past and other cars and has been in multiple 9th gen Honda Accords. And my car keeps having the same issue even though my battery and alternator are perfect. How do I get Honda to fix this.
Warning lights on dash (ABS, Brake, Steering, FCW, LDW, Slip/traction control) all came on at the same time, every time I started the car. Brought to van York Honda in high point, NC. and they diagnosed as having faulty VSA modulator-control unit. -ALL WARING LIGHTS ARE ON UNDER THE -DASH -SUB RELAY BOX -VSA MODULE 10H0Z1 COMPLAINT: DIAGNOSE ELECTRICAL UNDERDASH SUB RELAY BOX 23H0ZZBRAKE10 COMPLAINT: ABS CONCERN VSA MODULATOR There are so many other people reporting the same issues! Honda recalled the VSA Modulator in previous models (not accord) so can we all agree that there needs to be a push to recall this issue and Honda should Be fixing it! 7.5 yr old car that can’t use any ABS or VSA because Honda is not supplying a key safety module. The quote fix the so called issue is over $2,600 dollars! Is someone going to have to be seriously hurt or killed before anything is done??? PLEASE LISTEN to the consumers who put their trust in your name: HONDA and spend their hard earned money on your products and FIX THIS! Every time I check this website, there are more complaints about the exact same issues in models of your Honda Accord by the day! Your swift acknowledgment of our voices NOW (too rectify this issue & issue a recall is a heck of a lot better than a multi million dollar lawsuit that could come your way when people start to get seriously hurt/killed etc!) The electric steering pump
The vehicle has had several incidents where it won't start when the ignition button is pushed. The dashboard lights come on, but they run through and say that all the ADAS systems are inoperable. This has o cured numerous times I per the years and still hasnt been fixed.
Car intermiittantly does not start Has happened at least four times this month(Jan 2023). Had battery and alternator checked they are fine.. Sometimes will start on second try. Car only has 44,400 miles on it. Have read hundreds of complaints for the same issue. It is time for a recall on a defective part.
Like many others, I have had starter problems on my 2015 Honda Accord. It has less than 50,000 miles and is kept in a garage. The starter should not need to be replaced so soon and I believe it is defective.
IGNITION SWITCH TAKES MULTIPLE TIMES TO START NOW JUST FAILED
Vehicle failing to start consistently. Battery is fine. No noise is heard when moving key to start. Either starter or ignition is bad. Concern about being stranded.
6/24/2022 I was driving my 2015 Honda Accord with 65k miles when the car had no power, unable to accelerate, and limited steering. The following warning lights went on : Malfunction Indicator Lamp, Vehicle Stability System Indicator, Electric Power Steering System Indicstor, and Low Tire Pressure indicator (new tires last week). I let the car sit for awhile and restarted it with the same warnings showing. Very scary and unsafe to suddenly lose power and steering. I had just returned from a trip on a mountain road and busy highway which could have had deadly results. My car is a 2015 with 65 thousand miles on it- how does something this dangerous occur?

Starter is inconsistent. Looked online and many customers have complained about it. It’s not just a starter it’s a flaw in the design. Looks like other parts need to be replaced in order to correct the issue. This should be a recall.
Possible starter/electrical issue when trying to start vehicle. Will start up with no problems at time and then others it will only click and display all dash lights. At times it will take only a few attempts and then it will start while other times it takes several minutes to start. This has been an issue leaving you stranded in a excessively hot vehicle oftentimes with small children in car seats in the back with no air. Dealers say this is a common issue with this make and model although no recall has been put in place. This issue first began in 2020 and has been intermittent since then.
Backup camera doesn’t work anymore it gives me a black screen. I’ve seen multiple people with this problem on the same car this a safety hazard because of the camera not allowing me to see what’s behind me. Car is also fairly new with 45000 miles.
2015 accord with 39000 mi. has had a starter motor fail, this apparently a common problem.
Intermittent starting of car. Push button start works inconsistently. All lights on dashboard light up and system sometimes makes clicking sound. Have been stranded numerous times. I often times have young grandchildren in car so this is a safety issue.
April 2021 while driving dash guages stopped. No speedometer, no rpm, no temperature. Flashing fcw system failed began to flash. Multiple warning lights appeared. Check engine, power steering, break, abs, fcw, ldw, airbag, vsa and tpms. Honda of Gainesville in Florida has had my car for almost a year. No fix. Replaced engine harness, engine fusebox, computer, and cluster. To no avail. Now they say I need an interior fuse box and entire interior wiring harness. I believe they are just guessing at this point. According to honda internet forums this is a common issue with many years and models. No fix. This has been reported by many honda owners as a safety issue that should be recalled. It is incredibly unsafe to drive this vehicle with all these systems in fail. Please review. The car will fail to start on random occasions, I needed to get gas an the car would not restart after shutting off for fueling. The car will also not restart after car washes and stall the operation of the wash.
The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that since she owned the vehicle, the battery had failed on three separate occasions. The first two batteries were replaced by independent mechanics; however, on the latest failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer. Despite another battery replacement, the failure occurred again five months later. The contact sent an email to the manufacturer and received a case number. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was unknown.
Car does not start all the time. After a few attempts it will start. Some times it starts without issue. This vehicle is unreliable and can leave you stranded. Regretting my purchase. Car only has 44k miles. Pathetic
Ignition switch failed and had to be replaced. Car only has 65,000 miles. This must be a manufacturing defect, but American Honda refuses to accept any responsibility.
This car started having starting problem , I replaced the battery but that didn't help at all. It take two to three attempts to start after driving a little while.
Purchased Used 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid from Dealer March 25, 2021. Vehicle ran clean for two months, but now in the last month and a half, vehicle randomly will not start on 3 separate occasions. During these incidences vehicle will also not give power to door locks, etc, leaving driver stranded with no way to lock themselves in the vehicle for safety if necessary. Vehicle is keyless/push-button start. Battery tests good. ***Incident 1: Vehicle did not start on 88 degree day. No accessory power either. Would not power door locks. Left my 17 year old daughter stranded in excessive heat, in a Metro area parking lot until I could get to her two hours later. Multiple attempts to start the vehicle/pressing brake/start button with key fob next to start button. Replaced batteries in Key fobs with no change. Vehicle started with a jump. ***Incident 2: Similar to 1st incident, vehicle randomly would not start, no accessory power or power to door locks. Again, very hot and humid evening. Multiple attempts were made to push-button-start the vehicle with key fob well within area to start it. Called someone to come get us but continued attempts to start the car. It randomly started after about 45 minutes. Battery indicator on dashboard indicates good charge on battery. Left our family stranded in a rural area in the dark with excessive heat during this time. ***Incident 3: Vehicle will not start when pressing brake, start button, and key fob close by. My daughter was stranded again in 89 degrees outside. I picked her up with no success in starting the vehicle. Car's still sitting. ** There is no 'suspicious' activity of the vehicle before this happens. Completely random. New batteries in fobs. Concerned this could develop into a bigger problem of these models I've discovered; stalling while driving. (??) It appears our problem is large enough that there are public videos online about this. Hopefully we can rectify this as it poses a risk to stranded motorists left alone.

Took my sister to a car dealership to look at a car and had my car running for a couple of hours due to me having kids and it was hot out. And I accidentally turned my car off and car wouldn’t start back up it kept saying key fob was missing and the key was hanging up on my rear view mirror. Had to literally wait 10 minutes before car would start back up. Honda really needs to get that fixed A.S.A.P that was definitely a scary experience for me especially having my two young kids with me. I can’t afford to be stranded somewhere.
Vehicle does not start 100% of the time. The safety issue is that being stranded, when it doesn't start , with small children in a rural area is dangerous. The dealer as well as Honda has no solution for the problem. Repairs suggested have all been made and the problem still exists. I know nothing will be done because of this letter, but whomever is reading this I would suggest that you not purchase a Honda product if you care for your family. A RECALL OR RESEARCH OUTSIDE OF HONDA (BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE IGNORING THE ISSUES) NEEDS TO BE ROLLED OUT TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF, AND FIX, THESE STARTING PROBLEMS. STARTERS SHOULD NOT FAIL PRIOR TO 50,000 MILES. IF THEY ARE CONSTANTLY FAILING AT LOW MILEAGE, THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL DONE WITH THE OPTION OF REPLACING THE ORIGINAL STARTERS WITH NON-FAULTY PARTS. TOOK IT TO HONDA TO TELL THEM MY SITUATION PAID 130$ FOR THEM TO TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG. WHEN THEY DID THE DIAGNOSE THEY SAID NOTHING CAME UP ON THEIR END. FEW DAYS LATER I DROVE IT AND MY CAR STALLED OUT AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR. I AM AFRAID IF I DRIVE IT, IT WILL STALL AND I WILL GET INTO A CRASH. THEN RANDOMLY IT WILL NOT START AGAIN. I HAVE HAD THE BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEM CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES BY AUTOZONE, ADVANCE AUTO, O'REILLY, AND WALMART SERVICE CENTER. THE BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEM ALWAYS REPORTS AS FINE. I RECENTLY HAD THE OIL CHANGED AT WALMART AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT GET IT TO START. HE JUMPED IT AND DROVE AROUND TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BAY TO CHECK THE BATTERY AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. HE REMOVED THE CABLES AND CLEANED THE TERMINALS AND SPRAYED ON BATTERY POST PROTECTANT AND THEN JUMPED IT AGAIN. I DROVE HOME AND HAD NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS FOR OVER A MONTH AND NOW IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS ALL STARTED AFTER HAVING THE FACTORY RECALL BATTERY MANAGEMENT SENSOR REPLACED IN LATE 2017. THIS IS AT LEAST THE EIGHT TIME OVER THE PAST 1+ YEARS. I WAS TOLD BY AT LEAST ONE AUTOZONE EMPLOYEE THAT THEY HAVE SEEN MANY HONDA VEHICLES WITH A SIMILAR PROBLEM BECAUSE THE BATTERY SENSOR OR MAIN FUSE BLOCK WILL INTERMITTENTLY BLOCK ANY VOLTAGE COMING FROM THE BATTERY INTO THE STARTING SYSTEM. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW AND IT HAD APPROXIMATELY 45,000 MILES THE HONDA DEALER STATED IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR AND CHARGED ME TO REPAIR IT . HOWEVER, ON 4/1/18 THE CAR STALLED ONCE AGAIN AND I THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND IT APPEARS THE TOO MANY 2015 HONDA ACCORDS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM FOLLOWING THE BATTERY DEFECT RECALL. THE SERVICE ADVISOR CHECKED THE CAR OUT AND SAID THAT THE CAR BATTERY WAS DEAD. WE WERE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY FOR $127.63. I CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA REQUESTING TO BE REIMBURSED THE $127.63. THEY OPENED A CASE #06448979. MY CAR IS 2,531 MILES OUTSIDE ITS WARRANTY. IT HAS A RECALL NOTICE FOR FAULTY BATTERY SENSORS. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED 7/31/15, SO THE BATTERY FAILED AFTER ONLY 27 MONTHS. THE NEW BATTERY THAT I PURCHASED FROM HONDA HAS A 100 MONTH WARRANTY WITH NO MILEAGE LIMIT. A REASONABLE PERSON WOULD EXPECT A NEW CAR BATTERY TO LAST LONGER THAN 27 MONTHS, ESPECIALLY SINCE WHEN HONDA SELLS THE BATTERY SEPARATELY FROM THE CAR YOU ARE GIVEN A 100 MONTH WARRANTY. SO EITHER THE BATTERY WAS FAULTY OR THE FAULTY BATTERY SENSORS CAUSED THE BATTERY TO FAIL PREMATURELY. I LIVE IN FLORIDA WHERE THE SUMMER IS EXTREMELY HOT MAKING EVEN THE SHORTEST OF TRIPS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING FOR SERVICE, KNOWING THAT I HAVE A 3 YEAR/36,000 MILE WARRANTY IN ADDITION TO AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. I WAS SURE THAT THE REPAIR WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS INFORMED THAT A ROCK/PEBBLE HAD PIERCED MY CONDENSER WHICH PUT A PINHOLE IN IT, AND IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HONDA INDICATED THAT THE COST TO FIX THE CONDENSER IS $716.85. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE TO SPEAK WITH THE GENERAL MANAGER TO SEE IF THIS CAN BE RESOLVED GIVEN THAT MY CAR IS ONLY 8 MONTHS OLD WITH ONLY 9000 MILES AND I WAS TOLD TO GO THROUGH MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I ALSO REACHED OUT TO HONDA OF AMERICA AND WAS TOLD THAT THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY ROAD DEBRIS AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS DESIGN FLAW. THE HONDA AIR-CONDITIONING CONDENSER IS UNDULY PRONE TO DAMAGE CAUSED BY "NORMAL" ROAD DEBRIS THAT DOES NOT AFFECT OTHER AUTO MANUFACTURER'S CONDENSER DESIGN. AS WITH OTHER AUTO MAKERS, THE FRONT BUMPER CLIP IS WIDE OPEN TO ANY KIND OF ROAD DEBRIS AND THE CONDENSER SITS RIGHT BEHIND THE FRONT AIR INTAKE WITH NO PROTECTION AT ALL. HOWEVER, THIS TYPICAL DESIGN POSES A PROBLEM FOR THE HONDA CONDENSERS AND WILL HAPPEN OVER & OVER AGAIN, AND HONDA REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT CALLING IT NORMAL AND WORKING AS DESIGNED! I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE DEALER STATING THAT MY AC/ CONDENSER HAD A LEAK DUE TO "ROAD DAMAGE", POSSIBLE HIT BY A PEBBLE AND CAUSED A LEAK, AND IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE COST TO FIX IT IS $716.85. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY I HAVE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY... I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. AFTER DOING MY RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE WITH HONDA ACCORD. THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW DUE TO LACK OF PROPER PROTECTION BEHIND THE LOWER GRILL FOR THE AC/ CONDENSER. I REACHED OUT TO AMERICAN HONDA TO SEE IF THEY COULD ASSIST AND I WAS TOLD ' THIS IS NOT A MANUFACTURE DEFECT" I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASION TO SPEAK WITH THE GENERAL MANAGER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO ASSIST. I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT MY INSURANCE COMPANY. NICE DESIGN HONDA... I DID SOME RESEARCH AND PEOPLE ARE GOING TO HOME DEPOT TO FIX AN OBVIOUS DESIGN FLAW . INITIAL USE OF THE AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM PUTS THE PASSENGER CABIN INTO "AIR RECIRCULATION" MODE IN ORDER TO BRING THE TEMPERATURE DOWN AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. UNFORTUNATELY IT WILL NOT TURN AIR RECIRCULATION OFF UNTIL THE INTERIOR AIR TEMPERATURE HAS REACHED THE TEMPERATURE ASKED FOR. THIS CAN TAKE A LONG TIME. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD FOR YEARS THAT IT ISN'T SAFE TO LEAVE RECIRCULATION ON FOR TOO LONG DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF DANGEROUS EXHAUST GASES ENTERING THE CABIN. RECIRCULATION CAN BE TURNED OFF BY PUSHING A BUTTON BUT HAVING FRESH AIR SOONER SEEMS SAFER TO ME.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. HONDA STATES THAT THE TEXT MESSAGES WILL DISPLAY ON THE HONDA DISPLAY AS A HANDS FREE USE. HOWEVER, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE THIS FUNCTION. THE CAR DOESN'T ALLOW THIS FUNCTION. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING FROM RESETTING MY PHONE AND HAVING THE MANUFACTURE OF THE PHONE CHECK IT OUT. HONDA, TELLS ME THAT THEY ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE IPHONE 6, WELL, I FEEL THAT HONDA SHOULD HAVE AN UPDATE ON THEIR SOFTWARE, SO THAT PEOPLE THAT HAVE IPHONES WILL BE ABLE TO USE THIS FEATURE THAT HONDA ADVERSTISES.
