Out of no where - the speakers start blaring this loud scrambled sound. (Like a dead channel on TV.) Even when the radio is off. The speakers roar so load you can not concentrate to drive. No warning, just happens. I can go days/weeks without it happening, then boom - scare me so bad when it comes on out of no where. There is no rhyme or reason to when it will happen - could be driving slow or fast, could be hot or cold outside. Could be soon as you start the car or in the middle of driving after an hour. Thought it was a fluke but here were are - 2 months later and it's happened at least 5 times.
When the car reaches operating temperature slowly a static noise will creep over the speakers and then quickly cut out the audio input and put the speakers to full volume with waves of loud static. Turning off the stereo and turning down the volume does nothing to stop the static. The only way to stop it is to pull the radio fuse. This will also happen on a hot day and not slowly build just suddenly loud static as soon as the car turns on. This is a safety risk because the sound is so loud and distracting it’s hard to focus on everything going on around you and in order to pull the fuse out to stop it you need to pull over and it’s not always in a safe location. When I called and asked the Honda dealership in Stockton CA about it they were familiar with the problem when I described it to them but it has not been replicated in my car specifically by a separate party. No inspection was performed by police or other. There were no lights or warning when it first occurred. The problem first occurred in June when the weather started to get hot. I tried installing the fuse again now that it’s cold and it happened again once the car got to operating temperature.
On our 2016 Accord with the 3.5 V6 there is a design issue with the starter assembly. This issue is also happening with other models with this engine configuration manufactured between 2013 through 2017. The starter on my vehicle won’t engage the flywheel gears fully causing damage to the flywheel and the starter. There is a Honda service bulletin ( 16-002) calling to replace the starter and rotate the torque converter clockwise one bolt hole position. This can only be done ONE TIME so if it happens again( and it probably will)the torque converter will need to be replaced which is a minimum of $4,000 and even that won’t guarantee it won’t repeat this issue. This is a safety issue because there is a possibility that you could be stranded and vulnerable to hazards on the road .
When driving, occasionally, there is a strong buildup of static coming off the speakers, the problem persists for a long time and seems to calm down if the Radio is turned to full volume. It happens at random after driving for a few minutes, if the A/C is on it can get worse, I think it could be a faulty wiring issue from wear and tear or a frequency change that everyone with a 16’ Accord has as i’ve seen on videos.
The vehicle has recently developed a loud and painful static noise through the speakers, which occurs intermittently and unpredictably, even when the radio and audio system are turned off. This issue has now become so severe that it is unsafe to drive the car. The static bursts are extremely loud, startling, and physically painful, creating a serious distraction hazard while driving. I am deeply concerned that this constitutes a safety defect in the vehicle’s electrical/audio system, not a routine maintenance issue. The vehicle has approximately 70,476 miles, and a full history of regular maintenance. Yesterday, (10/17/2025), I took my vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis. While the issue was not initially present, it began again within minutes of leaving the service department, prompting me to return immediately so the technician could hear it. The dealership completed a diagnostic assessment (cost: $217) and determined that the OEM radio head unit has failed and must be replaced. The service advisor further explained that: - The defective audio unit cannot be safely disconnected or its fuse removed because doing so would affect the braking system. - The replacement part is on national backorder with no estimated availability date. - The repair would cost $1,211.80, which I am being asked to pay out of pocket despite this being a factory component failure. - No loaner vehicle is available, leaving me without safe transportation. Since leaving the dealership, the issue has continued repeatedly. The vehicle remains unsafe to operate under these conditions. Through my research, I have learned that this is a widely reported problem among 2016–2017 Honda Accord owners. There are numerous documented complaints on owner forums (including DriveAccord.net) and on CarComplaints.com describing identical symptoms, loud static or “white noise” from the speakers, occurring even when the radio is off, often linked to failure of the infotainment head unit or amplifier.
When driving the 2016 honda accord ex-l, after driven for around 10-20 minutes, a static starts playing on the speaker starting small and gets progessively louder (even when the audio system is turned off, if audio system is on and volume is adjusted, it gets even worse) until you cannot hear anything else other than the loud static. You cannot hear anything said in the car by your fellow passengers, kids get scared with the loud noise. The only thing that works is a restart of the engine which can only be done by pulling over to a shoulder or another unsafe area of the road putting everyone in the car and other nearby cars at dangerous risk. The static noise is so loud, it completely takes over all of your driver senses and you'll be like a deer staring into headlights unable to do anything. In a recent incident, we (family including kid) were going in the left-most lane of a CA freeway when this started and in the ensuing 2 minutes I had to move over 3 lanes into the number 1 lane and stop at an unsafe curb near an exit in the evening and restart the car and go back home. This is traumatic everytime it happens and we have to plan for it. There are several people with the same issue complaining on social media (reddit/youtube) and they have evidence for the same in video format. 500+ posts and going [XXX] . Upon calling my usual service center, they did mention they saw similar problem recently, but it is not part of a recall and quoted me 250$ for diganosis and upwards of 1900$ for replacing the audio unit. My audio unit worked fine for 10 years, and I do no think this is an individual issue but a widespread one that triggers in this specific model of the vehicle. There were no warnings prior to this, started appearing around [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
interference; and importantly, that the problem occurs only when the outside temperature is excessively hot. Due to the specific conditions required to trigger the interference, the static noise is impossible to replicate on command, rendering troubleshooting efforts prohibitively costly and unlikely to bear fruit. For reference, there are videos of the problem online with search terms "Honda Accord static noise".
The stereo randomly starts making very loud popping and static noise so loud it sets off the sound warning on my watch. Even with the stereo off it still does. You can’t stop it and you can’t hear anything around you. Very unsafe.
I left work on an unusually hot day, and several minutes into my trip, a deafening static noise began emanating from the dashboard area. I was frantically hitting all the radio and air buttons while driving, but I could not stop the noise, so I pulled over on the side of the road. The noise stopped after I turned off the car. I inspected the battery connections and the grounding cable, but found no obvious culprit. The noise resumed when I began driving again, but did not happen the next morning. The deafening static was unpredictable and unresolvable over the next few weeks, and it was so loud at times that my noise canceling headphones did not prevent pain in my ears. It happened on intermittent occasions, in all instances while I was driving on busy roads or interstates, and several times leaving me and my child stranded in unsafe conditions while waiting on help. I finally discovered through forum chats and online videos that this is a common occurrence with my specific car; that the source of the problem is a known faulty amp that overheats and causes interference; and importantly, that the problem occurs only when the outside temperature is excessively hot. Due to the specific conditions required to trigger the interference, the static noise is impossible to replicate on command, rendering troubleshooting efforts prohibitively costly and unlikely to bear fruit. For reference, there are videos of the problem online with search terms "Honda Accord static noise".
I am writing to bring urgent attention to a significant and concerning issue affecting the 2016 Honda Accord, specifically the audio head unit, which is causing severe static noise through the vehicle's speakers. This issue poses a serious safety risk to drivers, passengers, and others on the road, and I believe it warrants immediate action, including a formal recall. The static noise occurs regardless of whether the audio system is on or off. This interference compromises the ability to clearly hear essential sounds while driving, including emergency vehicle sirens, honking, and other important auditory cues that are vital for safe driving. The loud, distracting static significantly reduces the ability to focus on the road and may cause delayed responses to critical situations, including traffic accidents, pedestrian crossings, and other road hazards. Safety concerns include but are not limited to the following: inability to hear emergency alerts such as sirens and horns which could result in delayed or incorrect reactions when an ambulance, fire truck, or police vehicle is approaching, potentially leading to dangerous situations where first responders are unable to get through traffic quickly or safely, distracted driving, reducing ability to focus on the driving task, and ability to hear other critical sounds, such as tire issues (like a flat or blowout), or the sound of other cars around you, and can medically affect hearing of drivers. Given the severity of these issues, I urge an investigation to this matter thoroughly and issue a recall for the affected 2016 Honda Accord models and other year models that are affected. This would ensure the safety of drivers, passengers, and others on the road. Addressing this problem promptly will not only safeguard lives but also demonstrate a commitment to consumer safety and quality. I appreciate your attention to this urgent matter and trust that the necessary steps will be taken to resolve it as soon as possible.
My radio is throwing static. You can turn it off, turn the volume to 0, nothing helps. It only gets louder, and from my understanding this has happened too 100+ people. They have the same make/ model/ year as mine and they are all experiencing the same problem with no solution. I feel not only my safety, but other peoples safety are put at risk. This is a severe distraction from the road, that is something that would result in a wreck because of the sound. Lots of dealerships say the vehicles experiencing this problem need a whole entire head unit, or new radio. That’s $5,000, and more. It’s ridiculous that we are all experiencing the same problem and all having the same trouble and nothing is being done about the issue. With almost 100+ people having the same exact problem, there should have been a recall a long time ago. This is absolutely dangerous for drivers, children, and passengers of the vehicle. I ask that something be done about this immediately. I am afraid to drive my own car places because of this issue. It needs to be resolved asap. This is no longer a “us” problem. This issue has everything to do with the manufacturing of the vehicle.
As soon as I turn on the car there is unbearably loud static and cracking noise coming from out of the car speakers even though the car audio system is turned off. I am not sure what or why the sound is coming by itself. I repeat, the car audio system is turned off and yet there is a constant loud non stop static and cracking noise coming from all of the speakers.
Persistent and Excessive Speaker Noise in Honda Accord My Honda Accord is experiencing a severe and persistent issue with extremely loud, constant static noise emanating from all speakers, even when the radio is turned completely off. This pervasive noise is not only a significant nuisance but also poses a serious safety concern. The volume is so high that it impacts my hearing and makes it impossible to discern external sounds, including the sirens or horns of emergency vehicles. The relentless static makes driving stressful and unsafe.
Loud, pulsing, static sound from the car speakers. I was driving home after purchasing this car and an impossibly loud static sound came from the speakers even though the audio unit was powered off. I thought I had been hit by a truck and went off the road. There was some damage to the body and the underside of the car, but I was able to drive it back home. I pulled the fuse for the radio thinking that was the problem, but the sound returned, still blasting static from the speakers and now my side cameras and blind spot warnings do not work. This is not just an annoying problem, it is a serious safety issue. Even when I am driving with hearing protection the noise drowns out all other traffic sounds. This static is full volume, measured at 90 DBA on a calibrated Radio Shack 33-2055 sound level meter. I can't drive the car because of the hearing damage, and because of the intermittent nature of the problem, it can surprise you and cause a crash. It is the most distracting thing I have ever had to deal with while driving a car.
The malfunction is of the audio/speaker system. Periodically it will begin making a horrible pulsing screeching noise without any warning. It continues to make this horrible noise at a deafening level causing a huge uncomfortable distraction while driving. Turning down the volume on the audio system has no effect. Completely powering off the audio system has no effect. The noise continues relentlessly until you completely shut off the vehicle. One instance happened while I was driving home from work and sitting in traffic on the freeway. I rolled down all the windows to try to minimize the sound bouncing around inside the car and the sound was so loud it was making the other drivers around me uncomfortable. I had to learn to drive home with earplugs to help prevent myself from going deaf. The only relief has come since I completely removed the fuse for the audio system, however now I am left without access to multiple features on my vehicle. Research on the internet is showing that this seems to be a common issue with this make/model/year of vehicle but the manufacturer is not willing to acknowledge it. Because of this I have not bothered to take it to a dealership to have them inspect it.
persistent loud static noise from the car's audio system. The noise is present even when the audio is off and is "explosively loud" and "disturbing." It is frustrating with Honda's lack of support.
It was a hundred degree day when this incident first occurred. When I turned the car on after 5 seconds, the speaker started to make a loud static noise that got unbearably loud, and it spread from speaker to speaker, until all the speakers in the car were blaring a staticky sound. It didn't matter if my phone was plugged in, or if the radio was on, or if the sound system was turned off, it continued to make the sound. I turned off the car and turned it back on and it immediately started again. It didn't matter if I was parked or if I was driving, it would make the noise. Eventually, this sound got louder and louder, and then the speakers stopped working altogether, no radio or music sound would come on. I turned the car off, then back on, and the static noise came back. It happened again the next day (another 100 degree day) and so I had a mechanic look at the car the next day when it was slightly cooler, and he could not replicate the problem. The speakers went back to normal the next couple times that I turned on the car. I have a video that recorded the static noise.
When driving for at least 15 minutes, with the radio powered off or on, noise starts to come from the car speakers and builds to a crescendo which surpasses 95 decibels (measured with phone app). The noise is so loud it hurts my ears and I need to pull over to get out of the car. The problem has been confirmed by other individuals, but not the dealer. I have yet to take it to the manufacturer, police, or insurance representative. There are no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem. The problem appeared two years after I purchased the vehicle in January of 2022. I do not know what causes it. I have researched similar events online and cannot find a fix.
Static coming through the speakers with and without music playing when the weather is hot or using heater function on ac. Static noise is really loud and annoying distracting from driving and does not allow for auditory awareness of surroundings. only viable fix at the moment is to fully disable the premium audio fuse or completely remove stereo and install aftermarket stereo. No warnings whatsoever just spontaneous static that doesn’t stop
Knock sensor has been replaced twice in 4 years, the emissions engine states it needs to be changed again. This is causing reduced engine power and acceleration and other issues
Please note this is reported by tens of thousands of 2016-2017 Honda Accord. When the inside temperature is above a threshold, there is continuous high volume static and high pitched sound coming from all speakers. The head unit does not respond to any user interaction like switching off the radio system or volume control or anything. The high volume and high pitched static sound just continues. This poses a safety hazard because of the super loud noise inside the car and cannot hear anything from outside, plus it will cause deafness after prolonged high noise with high pitch and static. It causes distraction for the driver as well, particularly on highways. The only way to stop this sound is to stop the car, switch off the engine and wait for some time and start again. But still the high static sound may come anytime after , if the temperature is still warm or high. This is an issue with the Head Unit fan as reported by many. There is no warning and the high volume sound suddenly comes out from all speakers, startling the driver and passengers. This is a serious issue and will cause distraction and annoyance for drivers. There is no resolution from Honda for this and they are not even acknowledging this issue. Please consider this a safety risk for 2016-2017 Honda Accord. Please review the link below for comments from several people who got he same issue. [XXX] [XXX] Hope you will take this seriously and work with Honda to solve this for hundreds of thousands of car owners. Thank you for your support and appreciate any help! Radio head unit started making extremely loud static noise from speakers around 60k miles. Turning radio off does not stop static nor does turning volume down. Radio is still functional but no audio just loud static when car is cranked up and continues until car is turned off. The loud static is harmful to people ears because after a while your ears start to hurt so I’m sure the decimals are too loud for people’s ear. No warning lights are illuminated on dash for this problem. Independent service center mechanic said radio needed head unit to be replaced due to being faulty. Radio has not been inspected by manufacturer. There was no prior warnings or symptoms before this problem.
The issues has been reported by many others about the very loud and distracting static noise from car radio . It makes it very to drive with such a loud noise . It is a honda issue that should really be addressed . It is a safety issue just like any other thing that can and would be wrong with the car . It is a piercing noise that would really just get under you're skin and and distract you from the road . Again , there have been numerous reports and complaints about the this issue with the vehicle with the piercing static noise .
My 2016 has been experiencing audio issues for the past few months. There is a loud static noise that comes through my speakers at random times. When this happens, there is no way to control the audio unless I pull the car over and let the care sit for at least 30 minutes. The static will randomly increase and decrease on its own when this happens. I have tried to control this by just keeping the audio system turned off, but have recently found that doesn't help. The static will still occur randomly and not shut off. This is very dangerous when trying to drive and you can't control your audio system. The static noise can get pretty loud which has now caused me to stop driving my Honda. (which is awful) My car is still in very good shape and now just sitting while I try to find a replacement audio unit which will will cost roughly about $1000 to repair. This appears to be a common Honda issue as I have read so many similar reviews online. I'm hoping Honda will do what's right and put a recall out to help it's customers with resolving what now appears to be a common issue caused by the original factory setting. Overall, this has been very frustrating for myself as I only have one vehicle and hoping that Honda will do something to help it's customers.
Backup camera stopped working. looks like many people have same issue with honda accords
The audio system in my car blares, often without notice, a loud static noise that makes my vehicle unsafe to drive. The only way to get the noise to turn off is to pull over and completely turn off the car, and sometimes that does not even work. This is a driving hazard and could also be damaging long-term to my hearing. I have contacted Honda who says they have no recalls associated with this issue, but there are NUMEROUS complaints from customers online.
Car is making loud static noise and other people are having the same exact problem. I called Honda they don’t know what’s wrong. This is so unsafe because wrecks can be cause do to this BIG ISSUE .
I have a 2016 Honda Accord and I am experiencing a very loud sound of static coming from the speakers and it has become unbearable. I can't turn the volume down or turn the radio off and when I try the noise is still there. I have been having to shut the engine off and sit with the car off in order for the noise to stop.
As I am driving my speakers (all of them) will randomly sound like static and its very loud and obnoxious. Its disturbing and can be a huge hazard while driving. I have looked it up and it seems tons of people are having the same issues in their 2016 and 2017 honda accords. Seeing how common it seems to be online in these cars i do not think its fair for us to have to pay for this issue…
I'm getting an extremely loud static noise from my audio system, even when it's turned off. I've been experiencing this issue for the past year. It seems to be heat related (it's much worse when it's hot outside). I checked online and it looks like many Honda Accord owners are having the same problem (see https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/17-accord-radio-static.550224/). It's so loud that I can't hear anything outside of my vehicle, such as emergency vehicles. I'm surprised there hasn't been a recall for this issue.
There has been a problem going on with my 2016 Honda Accord Touring and it’s unbelievably terrible it has something to do with the sound system in the car and it can’t be stopped even if you try to power off the Radio it still occurs and it’s an on going problem until the vehicle is powered off, basically it’s a static noise that comes through all speakers that starts off not too loud then it gets really loud! To where you can’t even hear the person in the passenger seat and it is so bad it can possibly cause hearing damage and also to mention you can’t hear any sirens of like an ambulance for instance it happened to me other day where an ambulance was behind me and I didn’t hear it because of the horrible static sound coming from the speakers I found out the ambulance was behind me because of the cars in front of me pulling over to the side of the road and also I have little cousins and I would to go on trips with them but it worries me I can hurt their ears and they might start to panic to how bad the sound is.
I have the same problem with my 2016 Honda accord. Loud Static noise is driving me nuts. I took mine to my local Honda dealer and they said that they need to change the whole GPS radio worth $1400. They charged me $86 for diagnostics only and did not bother even unplugging the radio for the meantime while there is no head unit available. I am not happy. I really believe Honda should recall these units. The volume from the radio is at zero and the noise is too much that’s not even safe to drive.
The audio system in these car is failing for multiple owners. Complaint was filed with Honda and all they do is to turn their back on the customers and not acknowledge the issue. You have the complete engine noise amplified through the speakers of the car if you don't stop the car you can easily get your hearing impaired(My wife and I are health care professionals) The issue: Atrocious noise( intermitting ,cycling engine noise amplified through speakers even when the radio is turned off). The vehicle has been inspected by certified mechanics and audio specialists and have been unable to pin point the issue(The car amplifier is currently disconnected on our car) There no sign or message on the car that would alert you that is anything wrong. Symptoms first appear on April of 2024. We did not know where to complaint about this. We read on a forum of more complaints being filed, so we decided to file ours.
Based on extensive research and the replacement of the factory amplifier, I’m assuming that the component that’s failing is the head unit for the radio. It unpredictably makes this loud static noise come out the speakers that cannot be turned down or off even when the audio power is off. This is a risk to my and other drivers’ safety due to the volume of this noise and the fact I cannot do anything to stop it while driving. The only solution is to pull over and turn the car off. The static noise is so loud that I can’t even hear a horn honking at me and can barely hear emergency vehicles. The problem is hard to reproduce as the static happens unpredictably but I’ve taken it to an audio repair shop and we were able to produce the static noise after about 10 minutes of music playing. This component has apparently been complained about by many people having the same issue as me yet Honda is not recalling or owning up to this failure. I have yet to take it to a Honda dealership to have it inspected but from other’s experience they’ve mentioned that the technicians said nothing can be done but replacing the entire head unit for about $1000. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. This problem first appeared about 6 months ago. I don’t understand why so many people are having this issue yet the part has not been recalled yet. PLEASE recall the head unit of 2016-2017 honda accords.
The head unit produces a static noise that is deafening and consumes the car. You cannot stop the noise without turning off the car. Took the vehicle to my local honda dealership. No fix available. No replacement head units available. This is a known issue.
Static in the speakers due to electrical issues and air coolant system
I am writing to report an issue with my 2016 Honda Accord. The radio frequently produces a static noise, which poses a distraction and potential safety risk while driving. Component/System Failed: The radio system. Availability for Inspection: Yes, the radio is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: The static noise distracts me while driving, potentially endangering my safety and that of others. Problem Reproduced/Confirmed: Yes, the issue has been confirmed by an independent service center. Inspection by Manufacturer/Authorities: The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer or any authorities. Warning Symptoms: The static noise started occurring intermittently about one months ago and has become more frequent. Other people have made forums online complaining about this issue. [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] This tend to be a common problem with the Honda Accord and should be recalled as it is a safety risk and Honda refuses to fix the radio for free even though it is a manufacturing issue. ABS system failed and is not working properly. Also the screen in the car for all of my interaction with my car including Bluetooth and any errors involving the car. If my brakes go out in the middle of driving it could cause me and my family to be unable to protect ourselves. I have confirmed the system with 2 different mechanics and both agree there should be a recall. The warning lamps go off and on and are unpredictable.
The radio main unit started to occasionally produce LOUD deafening static without warning. Turning off the radio unit or lowering the volume had no effect, and this static noise would continue at maximum volume through the speakers for a few minutes until it gradually faded. It made it impossible to drive, and hurt my ears whenever it happened so I had to turn off the car to stop it. The speakers were blasting around 100db when inside the car, so I purchased ear plugs to help. I opened a case with Honda and took it to the local Honda dealer. They thought it was the amplifier and replaced it, but the problem immediately occurred again when I was about to leave the dealer. They refunded the repair cost since they were wrong, and advised it was the main radio unit that needed to be replaced. This unit is still available for inspection and has been confirmed by the dealer. There is no warning when this happens. Besides that the speakers blasting at maximum volume is detrimental to my hearing, the fact that it occurs suddenly while driving on the highway is like having a concussive grenade going off and still trying to focus on everything going on around you which is impossible. Hearing horns or sirens when this occurs is impossible due to the volume. It is not safe to have this situation occur on the road, and from looking up my year make&model online I am NOT the only one with this static issue. This issue has been happening for months now whenever I try to drive it.
Loud continuous static noise emitting from speakers regardless of whether the audio unit is turned on or off. The only temporary solution is to turn the vehicle off. Once the vehicle is restarted, the static noise almost certainly emits within minutes. The static progressively gets louder unless the vehicle is turned off, and it is impossible to hear other vehicles, law enforcement, EMS, and/or fire department sirens. Furthermore, this issue results in noncompliance with several US state noise ordinances due to the decibel level produced by the static.
A few weeks ago my cars audio system started having a loud static sound come through the speakers. It quickly got a lot worse and turning the volume down or even turning the unit off did not stop the loud static noise. It got so bad that it nearly caused me to have a wreck. The only way I was able to get it to stop was to pull over to the shoulder on a busy highway and shut the engine off. However, after pulling back onto the highway the static noise quickly returned. I contacted Honda to report the problem (case #14931953), but they acted like they had never seen this issue before and told me to go to the dealer to get a diagnostic ran. I did go to the dealer and talked to the service manager and he told me that the solution was to replace the head unit but they were on backorder. I also did some research online and a whole lot of people are having this same problem. The issue is the Head Units are overheating and Honda does not have replacement parts to fix the problem. In my opinion this is a major safety problem and is happening every time I drive my car now. Many other people experiencing this issue are also stating that this is a major safety issue when they are being blasted with very loud frequencies will trying to drive in busy traffic. They all have expressed their disbelief that Honda has not issued a recall over this problem because its dangerous.
I have extremely loud static coming the stereo., Blue tooth, satellite, FM etc.I have turned it off completely and still have the static. I have to wear Bose Noise cancelling headphones while driving. This is very dangerous as I can't hear horns, sirens etc. There has to be a recall as I have now read many other people having the same issue. What should I do?
I am filing a complaint about a recurring issue with the radio in my Honda Accord. The head unit continuously emits a loud static noise, even when the radio is turned off. This static is not only extremely disruptive but also poses a safety risk. The only way to stop the noise is to either stop and park the car or remove the fuse, which also disables the backup camera. This issue appears to be common among other Honda Accord owners as well, suggesting it could be a widespread problem.
The stereo has a safety issue where it can suddenly produce loud static and squeaky noises, even when the volume is turned down or off. There is no warning before this occurs. I can’t upload videos that have where is insanely loud.
ABS Module went out on my vehicle while on the highway. Three lights came on, as shown in attached photo. Vehicle brake system began acting up in the moment. This is a very common issue on 2013-2017 Honda accords from all mileage amounts. They are all still on and while I can drive the vehicle, if there are any instances where I need to brake suddenly, myself and the people around me will probably end up in a dangerous collision. The Honda dealership has quoted me $2,600 to fix this with no additional information. Thousands of other drivers are experiencing the same issue. Shame on Honda for not allowing a recall on this.
1. The radio system failed and is available for inspection. 2. My safety is compromised as I am subjected to static noise at maximum volume, posing a risk of significant ear damage or potential hearing loss. The intensity of the noise can rapidly lead to noise-induced hearing loss. Additionally, this persistent static noise is highly distracting, increasing the risk to other drivers on the road. 3. Yes, the problem has been reproduced and confirmed by a Honda dealer. 4. The vehicle and its radio system have been inspected by Honda. The only solution offered by Honda is to replace the entire radio unit, costing between $1,000 and $3,000. It is unreasonable to expect customers to pay such an amount for what is evidently a manufacturing defect, especially when similar issues have led to recalls in other Honda models like the Odyssey, Pilot, and Passport. Following the dealership's advice, I contacted Honda corporate to file a claim in hopes of receiving a discount on the necessary repairs, which should ideally be covered under a recall but are not for the Accord model. Unfortunately, the claim was denied. Honda corporate claims to be unaware of the issue, despite numerous online forums and videos highlighting the same problem, along with Honda's reluctance to address it. Honda corporate denied me any discounts, stating that I do not have a long-standing relationship with them since I have not used their services for all my maintenance needs. 5. There were no warnings prior to failure that occurred in March 2023.
Recently observed vehicle paint is peeling off and it is putting the vehicle at risk of rust and corrosion. It is above the back window. I have taken the vehicle to my local dealer where vehicle was purchased and inspected. They advised me to contact Honda Customer Service. Upon calling them they advised me there were no recalls at this time. My 2016 Honda should not be peeling when my 2004 Honda has had no issues. I am aware of Toyota having paint recalls on their 2016 models and unsure if it could be from the same paint manufacture. Please contact me regarding this issue, I am sure I am not the only one with this issue and it is difficult to know where to turn to. Thank you.
Radio, yes as of now. VERY LOUD static sound coming from speakers, it makes it hard to concentrate, and you can't hear anything around you such as sirens, or even the person sitting next to you. They say replace the radio, at over $2000 No to inspection. No messages of failure etc.
For the last few months, my audio system has been making static and crackling noises. It is intermittent. I would estimate the noise to occur around 25% of the time I am driving. At times, it is extremely loud and nerve wracking. When that noise amplifies, hearing surrounding traffic or other community sounds, sirens, train horns, etc is not possible. This occurs with the audio system turned either off or on. It is unsafe, and there is no way to control it. Online, I have seen complaints from several types of Honda make/model owners, but Honda only recognizes a limited few years, makes, and models. Honda should not be allowed to put Honda drivers, passengers, and the community at large at risk by ignoring the problem. There needs to be a recall and mandate from the NTSB that Honda fix this safety issue. I am listing today as the incident date. However, this issue has occurred pretty much every day for the last few months.
Audio unit produces loud static and beeping noises spontaneously, regardless if whether the audio unit is on or off. The sound is very distracting and may be damaging to the ears of the driver and passengers.
Audio system started making very loud noise.Thought it was speakers at first but even when the radio is off the noise is on. No buttons are usable, volume, apps, return, source or even the off/on. The noise is extremely loud 2 the point of having 2 pull over, turn the car off. Its a deafening noise & totally unbearable.Have to sit wherever I pulled over for quite some time which is dangerous especially at nighttime to get the noise to its lowest decibel 2 be able 2 drive again only for about 30/40 secs B4 it starts increasing to the unbearable level again.Takes 45 min 2 drive a 15 min trip. Vehicle cant B driven while this is going on and is a definite SAFETY HAZARD due to not being able to concentrate on driving. This has caused me to almost be hit or hit others because I’m so focused on this noise radiating through my head and ears.I cannot hear others horns for warnings. Once exiting my car my ears are buzzing extremely loud. Had 2 audio specialists check it and I’m told it’s the amplifier to contact a Honda dealer about a Goodwill claim. I called Royal Honda in Metairie LA and they told me that since I didn’t purchase my car new from them or serviced there yet (just moved to LA) that they will not consider a Goodwill claim to take it back to the state I purchased it from(really so I’m supposed to drive 6 hours each time? NOT ACCEPTABLE) and if they fixed it they would charge me $3,500. This problem started about 3 months ago. I had the amplifier disconnected and now both of my monitor screens are not working which means I have no cameras for safety and no access to hands free calling, navigation, phone connectivity or anything pertaining to the whole system. Component has not been inspected by mfg, police or ins because I didn’t know it had to be and there were no warning signs prior to this deafening noise escalating to the point of such a COMPROMISE OF MY SAFETY. I’ve read many others are having same issue so it’s time for a recall? Honda we need your HELP!
In May 2023, a local Honda dealership confirmed a VSA Solenoid Malfunction in my 2016 Honda Accord Sport. All ABS, steering, traction, and brake lights are on in the car. Part is currently on backorder - due to timing, the warranty is expired (2k miles over coverage) and no longer covers issues like this. Don't feel safe driving car while lights are on.
I found previous complaints with the same issue so I used their words and added/deleted a bit more: 2016 Honda Accord. The instrument panel or display panel often locks after having iPhone connected and using AirPlay. Have to disconnect iPhone and at times even turn off car to reset the instrument panel display. This is a hassle and if using maps can be inconvenient while driving. Audio main head unit (Honda p/n 39171-T2F-A71) produces loud static from radio speakers. The noise becomes extremely loud. The loud static continues even if the audio system power is turned off. The noise is so loud it is disorienting. The only way to stop the noise is to pull off the road and turn off the engine. The loudness of the static puts the safety of the driver at risk. The problem is intermittent and cannot be reproduced on demand. I provided the mechanic with an audio/video tape of the problem. He told me to contact American Honda about “Goodwill” help provided by them. There are no warning lamps or messages prior to audio main malfunction. My problem first appeared in July 2023. The car is not driveable when the static occurs. Since I cannot drive the car with the loud static, i will have to rent a vehicle. I will report it to American Honda Motor Customer Care on July 18, 2023 to Advised that this problem is a SAFETY issue and is very expensive at $3,500.00.

I provided the Honda dealer with an audio/video tape of the problem. This tape was used by the service department to diagnose the problem. I paid $170 for the diagnostic test. Vehicle was inspected by the Honda dealer. Honda dealer advises the part is on backorder. Tentative availability is April 10, 2023. Vehicle was inspected by two independent auto stereo businesses. They were unable to repair because OEM wire harness is needed. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to audio main malfunction. The problem first appeared in November 2022. The car is not driveable when the static occurs. Since I cannot drive the car with the loud static, I paid the Honda dealer $85 to disconnect the audio main head unit. There is no static, but there is no radio, backup camera, bluetooth functions, etc. The problem was reported to American Honda Motor Customer Care on February 17, 2023. Assigned Case No. 13663941. Requested ETA of backorderd audio main head unit. Advised that this problem was a SAFETY issue. I received a call from American Honda Motor Customer Care on February 20,2023. They have documented the problem and closed the case.
I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BACKUP CAMERA IT OUTLINES HOWEVER THE PICTURE IS NOT WORKING AND HAS BEEN OUT FOR SOME TIME I HAVE ASKED THE HONDA DEALER TO LOOK AT THIS MATTER AND IT WAS NEVER RESOLVED ALSO TOOK THE CAR TO BE SERVICED MANY TIMES, SO I STARTED TAKING THE CAR FOR SERVICE ELSE WHERE AND WAS TOLD THEY CAN NOT HELP ME, THIS IS A SAFETY MATTER I AM LOOKING TO GET THIS MATTER RESOLVED I HAVE BEEN PARKING AND AVOIDING BACKING UP DUE TO THIS PROBLEM I NEED ANSWERS AND THE PROBLEM FIXED THANK YOU [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Computer failed. Dashboard lights keep going on and off. Checked by a mechanic and confirmed Battery sensor failure. It’s dangerous to drive the car when dashboard lights are on because it doesn’t respond normally to speed paddle or brakes and engine shuts down suddenly.
BACKUP CAMERA LOCATED IN REAR TRUNK LID FAILED. MILEAGE UNDER 10,000 MI. DEALER HAS NO RECALL FOR 2016 ACCORD SEDAN MODEL. THIS ITEM. AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM DIM SYSTEM FAILED WITHIN FIRST THREE MONTHS OF VEHICLE OWNERSHIP.
PAINT IS PEELING BETWEEN TOP OF REAR GLASS AND ROOF.
My car started making a piercing static noise that is so loud and you can’t do anything to turn it down and it is very hard to drive and concentrate with this noise. I have seen other cars recalled for this issue but they are the larger cars. My car has the same issue but they will do nothing for me.
Air coming through vents is very low even if set a max air flow. I have a 2016 Honda Accord with 40,000 miles. For some time we noticed that air conditioner does not flow much air. It seems that ac blower is just too weak. My old 2003 Corolla has much more ac blower power. Something is wrong. I change the AC filter as needed and with frequency. Air is cold just not enough air coming through vents.
2016 Honda Accord with about 40,000 miles. The instrument panel or display panel often locks after having iPhone connected and using AirPlay. Have to disconnect iPhone and at times even turn off car to reset the instrument panel display. This is a hassle and if using maps can be inconvenient while driving.
MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD SEDAN AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING. THE CAR HAS ABOUT 58,000 MILES.I LIVE IN SOUTHERN FLORIDA AND DRIVING WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING CAN BE VERY STRESSFUL AND HARMFUL TO SENIORS. I AM OVER 60 WITH MANY CO MORBIDITIES.

MY BACKUP CAMERA STOPPED WORKING WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET AN EXTERIOR REPLACEMENT PART. IT WORKED FINE WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. NOW THE SCREEN IS COMPLETELY BLACK WHEN YOU ARE IN REVERSE BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE THE BACKUP CAMERA LINES. THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO CHARGE ME $140 TO EVEN LOOK AT IT. SOMEBODY POSTED THIS EXACT COMPLAINT IN JULY 2020. THEY STATED THAT THE CAMERA HOUSING MIGHT BE LETTING CONDENSATION AND WATER INSIDE, CAUSING IT TO SHORT OUT. THERE ARE TWO ADDITIONAL COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME ISSUE FROM MARCH 2020, ONE IN FEBRUARY 2020, AND ONE IN JANUARY 2020. THIS IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURER ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.

THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE GRID LINES ARE AVAILABLE BUT WITH NO IMAGE OF THE AREA. THE CAMERA IS CLEAN, SO IT IS NOT ABOUT DIRT.

THE TRUNK LIGHT ACTIVATION SWITCH WAS DESIGNED AND PLACED WHERE IT IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO DAMAGE THOUGH NORMAL OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE TRUNK LID. TRUNK. THIS ALLOWS THE SWITCH TO BECOME INOPERATIVE WITH THE SIMPLE ACT OF OPENING AND CLOSING THE TRUNK MULTIPLE TIMES. THE CAR IS OBVIOUSLY STATIONARY . THIS DOES CREATE A SAFETY AND VISIBILITY ISSUE FOR ANYONE RETRIEVING OR PLACING ITEMS IN THE TRUNK. IT ALSO CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN ONE MAY HAVE TO CHANGE A SPARE TIRE AT NIGHT. WITHOUT AN EXTERNAL LIGHTING DEVICE, ONE MUST ' FEEL' THEIR WAY TO RETRIEVE THE SPARE TIRE AND TOOLS NEEDED TO CHANGE THE SPARE TIRE .THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN DESCRIBED BY MULTIPLE OWNERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA SITES AND THE HONDA. ACCORD OWNERS SITE. HONDA WILL REPAIR BUT IT IS EXPENSIVE AND THE ISSUE WITH THE SWITCH WILL HAPPEN AGAIN UNDER NORMAL USE.

I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IT WAS AT THE TIME, BUT NOW I RECOGNIZE IT AS THE SOUND A CAR MAKE IF YOUR PRESSING THE GAS WITH THE CAR IN PARK OR NEUTRAL. I DECIDED TO PULL BACK INTO MY DRIVEWAY TO ASSESSS THE DAMAGE TO MY CAR. WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE IT ROARED FORWARD. I MADE A COMPLAINT BEFORE NOT EXACTLY SURE OF THE DATE BUT IT WAS IN 2016. MY COMPLAINT WAS MY CAR ALMOST STALLS OUT. WHEN I AM STOPPED AND START UP AGAIN OR MAKE A TURN THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL AND I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO TOLD ME THAT. MY BROTHER AND SISTER-IN-LAW DROVE MY CAR AND IT HAPPEN TO THEM. I'VE ALMOST GOTTEN HIT IN THE REAR END A FEW TIMES BECAUSE MY CAR DOESN'T PICK UP. THE LAST TIME A REP FROM HONDA TOLD ME TO TAKE THE CAR INTO THE HONDA DEALER TO CHECK OUT THE ENGINE BUT THE MECHANIC HE ONLY DROVE THE CAR AROUND THE LOT AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS OK BUT IT DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME AND I TOLD HIM THAT. I'M CONCERNED THAT I WILL GET EVENTUALLY GET REAR ENDED AND HURT. MOST RECENT IT HAPPENED AGAIN SO THAT'S WHY I'M COMPLAINING. SO, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO. THANK YOU

WHILE ON A TRIP DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE AT 72 MPH, IN BUSY TRAFFIC, WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, THE ENGINE STALLED. I ROLLED TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER, AND THE CAR DIDN'T RESTART. ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON, BUT ALL ELECTRONICS (RADIO, COMPUTER SCREENS) WERE WORKING. HONDA TOWED (UNDER WARRANTY) TO THEIR NEAREST DEALERSHIP. AFTER CHECKING OUT THE CAR, AND TELLING ME IT RESTARTED AND DISPLAYED NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES, I WAS SENT ON MY WAY. I WAS TOLD IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AS THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. STILL ON A TRIP, AND ABOUT 500 MILES LATER, I WAS AGAIN ON THE INTERSTATE PASSING A GROUP OF SEMI'S ON ABOUT A 5% GRADE, WITH CARS IN FRONT OF AND BEHIND ME, WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED AGAIN. THIS TIME WAS MUCH SCARIER AS I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE, AND THE RIGHT SHOULDER WAS BLOCKED BY A LONG STRING OF SEMI'S. IT WAS DANGEROUS TRYING TO GET TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER AS THERE WERE CARS IN FRONT OF AND BEHIND ME ALSO. I WAS TRAVELING AT 78 MPH WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE CAR RESTARTED THIS TIME, AND WITH IT BEING A WEEKEND AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CLOSED, I CONTINUED HOME THE FINAL 550 MILES (IN THE RIGHT LANE) WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS WAS THE 3RD TIME THE ENGINE HAS STALLED. THE FIRST WAS WHEN I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE, IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. THE TEMPERATURE WAS 109, AND AT THE TIME (CAR HAD ABOUT 10,000 MILES ON IT) I ATTRIBUTED IT TO THE TEMPERATURE EVEN THOUGH THE CAR DIDN'T OVERHEAT. IT RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY THIS CAR IS THE 6 SPEED (MANUAL), 6 CYLINDER, COUPE MODEL.

MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, I WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT ON A CLEAR DAY, FULL VISIBILITY, THERE WAS A CAR SEVERAL CAR LENGTHS AHEAD OF US TURNING RIGHT. IT CLEARED THE WAY WITHOUT US NEEDING TO BREAK. WE WERE TRAVELING ABOUT 40 MPH AT AROUND 2PM. OUR VEHICLE THOUGHT THERE WAS STILL A HAZARD IN THE ROAD. WE HAVE A SENSING PACKAGE IN THE VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED OUR CAR TO COME TO A FULL AND COMPLETE STOP, ENGAGING THE SEAT BELTS AS WELL. WE HAVE FULL VIDEO EVIDENCE OF THE INCIDENT FROM A THIRD PARTY DASH CAM. WE WERE ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THINKING THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT, IT WAS RETURNED, SAYING THAT THE CAR WORKED AS INTENDED. WHEN DRIVING MY DAUGHTER'S CAR, I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPOT AND I HIT THE PUSH BUTTON STOP TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. AS I BEGAN TO EXIT THE CAR, IT STARTED TO ROLL. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO REPOSTION MY SELF TO PLACE MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO PREVENT ANY DAMAGE OR INJURY. I REALIZE THAT I NEED TO PLACE THE CAR IN PARK PRIOR TO TURNING OFF THE ENGINE. HOWEVER, THIS PUSH BUTTON TECHNOLOGY PRESENTS A SIGIFICANT HAZARD THAT SHOULD HAVE A BETTER SAFETY FEATURE. HOW ABOUT REQUIRING THAT THE EMERGENCY BREAK BE AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGED IF THE CAR IS TURNED OFF WHILE THE CAR IS IN GEAR? A FEATURE LIKE THIS COULD PREVENT NEEDLESS INJURIES AND DAMAGE. HONDA QUALITY PROBLEMS. WE BOUGHT A 2016 HONDA ACCORD IN JANUARY. AFTER FEW MONTHS THE CAR STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS. THE CAR LOSES ACCELERATION ALL OF A SUDDEN AND COMES TO A LOW SPEED (0-5 MPH) WITHIN SECONDS. EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. I TOOK TO THE DEALER MANY TIMES. FIRST TIME - THE DEALER SAID THAT HE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR SECOND TIME - AS PER HONDA TECH, THEY DIAGNOSED THAT THE CHIP IN THE COMPUTER IS THE PROBLEM. SO THEY SAID THAT THE SOFTWARE IN THE COMPUTER NEEDED UPGRADE (STRANGE.. IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR. AND WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ONLY ONE CAR. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE CASE WITH OTHER CARS PRODUCED AT THE SAME TIME). THIRD TIME - AS PER HONDA TECH, THEY REPLACED THE ACCELERATION KIT AS THEY THOUGHT THAT IS THE PROBLEM. FOURTH TIME - NOW THEY THINK THE WIRING IS THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED THAT. EVERY TIME, I DROVE THAT CAR TRUSTING THEM, I RISKED MY LIFE. I AVOIDED ACCIDENT 8 TIMES ON FREEWAY FROM BEING REAR ENDED. I DROVE INTO THE CENTRAL DITCH ON THE FREEWAY AND INJURED MY SHOULDER. I AM ON MEDICATION FOR THE PAST 1+ MONTH. I AM WORRIED THAT I DRIVE THIS CAR AND AM GOING TO DIE.

THE REAR WINDOW IS DISTORTED WHEN YOU LOOK THROUGH IT. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S SUNNY OR RAINING OUT IT LOOKS ALL WAVY. IT ALSO DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER WHETHER THE WINDOW IS TINTED OR NOT. I THINK THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND YOU CANNOT SEE OTHER VEHICLES CLEARLY WHILE LOOKING THROUGH YOUR REARVIEW MIRROR. I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS SO I THINK THIS IS SOMETHING HUNDRED NEEDS TO ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE ACCIDENT OCCURS IF IT HASN'T ALREADY.

TMPS NOTIFIED ME THAT MY TIRE PRESSURE WAS LOW. I HAD TIRE PLUGGED AND I THOUGHT REPAIRED. THERE IS NO MANUAL WAY TO RESET THE TMPS SYSTEM . ONE MUST DRIVE AT SPEEDS 30 TO 60 MPH AT LEAST 30 MINUTES FOR THE SYSTEM TO RECALIBRATE . I ONLY WAS DRIVING SHORT DISTANCES FOR NOT I'M LONG AMOUNT OF TIME SO I WAS UNAWARE THAT THERE ACTUALLY STILL WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY TIRE AND WAS DRIVING AROUND WITH EXTREMELY LOW TIRE PRESSURE . IF I HAD A MANUAL RESET BUTTON I WOULD BE AWARE RIGHT AWAY. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD ANY MANUAL RESET BUTTON SHOULD BE PUT ON THE VEHICLE.

THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL IN MY CAR MALFUNCTIONS IN RAIN/SLEET CONDITIONS DURING WINTER MONTHS. IT TAKES A FEW MORE MILES AND MINUTES TILL THE ACC IS DISABLED WARNING POPS UP.

STEERING WHEEL OCCLUDES THE SPEEDOMETER. ANALOG SPEEDOMETER IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DASHBOARD AND VERY LARGE. DEPENDING ON THE POSITION OF THE STEERING WHEEL YOU LOOSE AT LEAST 25 MPH RANGE (EITHER ON THE LOW OR HIGH END OF THE SPECTRUM). THERE IS NO DIGITAL READOUT WHICH WOULD BE A SIMPLE FIX TO THIS ISSUE AS THE LOW CENTER PART OF THE SPEEDOMETER "RING" IS ALWAYS VISIBLE. ALSO, THE DRIVER'S SEAT HAS A BUILT IN ARCH THAT DOES NOT FIT EVER BODY. IT IS NOT ADJUSTABLE AND (DEPENDING ON HEIGHT) POKES YOU IN THE MID-LOW BACK AND DOESN'T LET THE UPPER BACK GET SUPPORT OR RELAX INTO THE SEAT. RESULT IS VERY TIGHT AND SPASMED BACK MUSCLES. THIS GETS WORSE OVER TIME.
THE REAR WINDOW IS DISTORTED WHICH PREVENTS A CLEAR AND ACCURATE VIEW OF ALL OBJECTS BEHIND THE VEHICLE. THIS DISTORTION AFFECTS THE ENTIRE BACK WINDOW AND IT CAUSES THE OBJECTS VIEWED THROUGH THE WINDOW TO BE WAVY AND DISTORTED. ITS EFFECTS ARE MAGNIFIED IN WET WEATHER AND AT NIGHT. THE DISTORTION PREVENTS THE OPERATOR FROM ACCURATELY JUDGING THE SIZE, SPEED AND DISTANCE OF THE VEHICLES TRAVELING BEHIND THE VEHICLE. THE DISTORTION OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AND STATIONARY. I INSPECTED SEVERAL SIMILAR ACCORDS AT THE DEALER AND THEY HAD THE SAME DISTORTED REAR WINDOW. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALER ACKNOLWEDGED THE DISTORTION, BUT CLAIMED IT COULDN'T BE FIXED.

TOO MUCH VIBRATION FOR A BRAND NEW CAR. IT IS NOT RIGHT FOR THEM TO GET AWAY WITH THESE KINDS OF ISSUE. CANNOT ENJOY NEW CAR EXPERIENCE DUE TO THIS ISSUE

SINCE DAY 1, HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH A NOTICEABLE CLUNKING NOISE WHILE GOING OVER BUMPS.AFTER 4 REPAIR ATTEMPTS AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP THAT LED TO TIGHTENING OF 'LOOSE'(AS PER THE MECHANIC AND PAPERWORK) NUTS AND BOLTS, ADJUSTMENTS OF THE RACK, REPLACEMENT OF BOTH FRONT STRUTS AS WELL AS REPLACEMENT OF THE FRONT STEERING RACK,THE NOISE CONTINUED. DURING THE 5TH REPAIR ATTEMPT AFTER MEETING WITH AN ENGINEER FROM HONDA AS WELL AS THE HONDA CERTIFIED MECHANIC, THE MECHANIC TELLS ME THAT THE SUBFRAME BECAME UNGLUED. THE NEW DESIGN OF THE HONDA SUBFRAME IS NOW GLUED AND NOT WELDED, IN ORDER TO MAKE THE VEHICLE LIGHTER AND MORE FUEL EFFICIENT. I AM TOLD BY A HONDA ENGINEER THAT HONDA TECH LINE IS NOW AWARE OF THIS ISSUE(WHICH TELLS ME THERE HSVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS). EVEN AFTER THE ENTIRE SUBFRAME WAS RECENTLY REPLACED, I CONTINUE TO HAVE FRONT END ISSUES WITH MY BRAND NEW CAR INCLUDING CREAKING AND VIBRATION. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY AND NOW HAVE HAD 5 REPAIR ATTEMPTS ON THIS VEHICLE. THIS SUBFRAME ISSUE CERTAINLY IS A SAFETY MATTER AND FAILURE OF SUCH COULD LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENTS. THIS HAS AND CONTINUES TO BE AN ONGOING PROBLEM. THE 'GLUED' SUBFRAMES IN THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS HONDA IS THEIR TOP OF THE LINE 'TOURING' MODEL WHICH HAS ADDITIONAL SUSPENSION PARTS FOR A SMOOTHER RIDE SUPPOSEDLY. I HAVE ALL OF MY DOCUMENTATION FROM THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD YOU REQUIRE IT.
I NOTICE WIND NOISE IS VERY LOUD IN THIS CAR. IT SOUNDS AS IF A WINDOW IS SLIGHTLY OPENED, ALTHOUGH ALL THE WINDOWS ARE CLOSED. I CAN HEAR IT EVEN IF I'M GOING 30 TO 40 MPH. WHEN CARS PASS GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, YOU CAN HEAR EACH ONE AS THEY PASS MORE THAN YOU NORMALLY WOULD. IT MAKES FOR A VERY NOISY RIDE IN TOWN SO I CAN IMAGE HOW IT WILL BE ONCE I DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE READ 2 OTHER CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE

THE SUNROOF ON MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT APROX 70MPH. IT SOUNDED LIKE A LOUND POP. WE WERE LEFT WITH A GIANT HOLE IN THE CENTER OF THE SUNROOF. THE BROKEN PARTS OF THE GLASS ARE ANGLED UPWARD AS IF IT SHATTERED FROM THE INSIDE UP. WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW ON 1/4/16 AND THIS OCCURRED ON 1/15/16. WE WERE DRIVING ON A DESOLATE STRETCH OF DESERT HIGHWAY THAT IS SURROUNDED BY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
