Speakers produce full volume static, this loud static sound is unavoidable, it occurs randomly when the car is on and when the audio is on, but once it starts making static sounds, it won't stop. Source input also does not matter. Some observations I have made are that: •It is extremely cold in New Jersey and after the heater is on high for a while and when the car is warmed up it starts to make these unavoidable static sounds. •When the audio is turned off sometimes the static goes away but sometimes it stays even when the audio is turned off. •Once it starts making static sounds, even turning off the car and turning it back on with the audio off doesn't make the static sounds go away. Only when the car is off for a while and it gets cold again, it stops the static sounds. It is extremely cold in New Jersey around this time of the year, and it is impossible to drive without the heater. Once the loud static sounds start, it won't stop and it creates distractions while driving, almost causing me to get into an accident. Lots of people with the same car are having this issue and lots of reddit users are also reporting this issue and most of the people with this issue seem to have some mention of heat causing it or it occurs on hot days. Dealership is not helping either and they can't figure out the cause of the problem. They are suggesting changing the car audio (Head Unit) at customer's expense. A lot of people on reddit reporting the issue mentioned submitting a complaint to the NHTSA, I see there are already some complaints regarding the loud static sounds on here. Dealership is no help, and Honda doesn’t seem to have any Recalls for this either. Need More complaints and a Recall for this!

Numerous complaints and visits to the Honda dealer and phone calls to American Honda, About the stereo system in my 2017 Honda Accord, while driving the radios abruptly cuts off and starts making extremely loud static noise, even after turning the system off the static persists with no way to shut it off without having to turning the car off or pulling over to remove the fuse that powers the system. I try buying a new stereo system from the dealer at extremely high price but the radios have been on back order for over 2 years. And an after market system will be extremely labor intensive and having to make major modifications. I bought the car new and been driving the car without the radio for 2 years. Please help.

Car radio, and the upper screen on top of the car radio restarts at random times either when using it or not using it, CarPlay restart the radio as well the upper screen random times when it restarts as well as the radio will not show you current drive trip or fuel amount. It goes in and out and restarts. The whole system went to the dealership many times and they say they see nothing wrong. I’ve looked up online to see if I can find a way or see if any other people are having an issue and from what I looked up there are a lot of people with 2016s 2017 with the same issue. I am occurring this issue has been going on for years since I brought the car. I brought the car brand new out of the dealership. I’m taking it many times to the Dealership service department and no one is able to assist me to correct the issue. I have also showed the service department video proof of the issue please I would appreciate if you guys could assist in this issue, whether if these radios of my car and many other peoples vehicles have to be replaced or God forbid there’s a loose wire in the back and this car has a really electrical problem and my car catch a fire. God forbid. But this issue has been going on for a while that for example I could be listening to music loud radio cancels out and then it will just come back on scaring me because it was locked as well as putting up and down the volume won’t work because the system freezes and it restarts itself and all this is while I’m physically driving can’t use navigation can’t use hands-free in my car due to this issue I also have video, but I’m not able to upload the video. It only allows me to upload photos. The photo that was uploaded is how my car screen looks now with no screen at all and as I’m speaking to you right now, the car is literally resetting itself again for the fifth time today even when the car radio and screen, reset there are still a major live in the system

Oct 27, 2025 Crash

While pulling into a parking spot my car unexpectedly accelerated. Brakes were unresponsive even after placing both feet on the brake pedal. Vehicle stopped only after I hit a tree. Engine continued to rev at which point I placed the vehicle in park and shut off the engine. Although the impact of the crash was severe my 1airbag did not deploy.

The radio randomly starts playing deafening static noise, turning the volume down does nothing. It’s at random although hot day do exacerbate the issue. It’s really loud static noise. I can’t hear anything going on around me when driving and I can’t control the volume because it doesn’t change anything

Dear NHTSA, I am writing to report a recurring and potentially dangerous issue with my 2017 Honda Accord EX-L. The vehicle emits sudden, extremely loud static and high-pitched noise from the speakers—often occurring in hot weather and even when the audio system is turned off. This unpredictable noise is not only startling but also prevents me from hearing surrounding traffic, horns, or emergency vehicles, significantly increasing the risk of an accident. It poses a serious distraction and safety hazard. I have found numerous similar complaints from other Honda owners online, indicating this may be a widespread issue. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this as a potential safety-related defect that may warrant a recall. I listed the date below around when this started occurring. It happens multiple times per week. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sporadically, and after driving at least 10 minutes continuously, a static sound begins out of my rear speakers and increases in volume quickly. It starts coming out of front speakers as well so that it appears to be coming out of all speakers and it is extremely loud. It is so loud that it sounds like I'm in front of a speaker at a concert, and it is hugely distracting while operating the vehicle. The audio is not on, the bluetooth is not connected, and there is no way to get the sound to stop. Even turning off and on the car does not stop it. This has happened 6 times in the last 3 weeks and it is so loud and distracting - bordering on deafening - that it is nearly impossible to continue driving the car. Online research indicates that others have had this issue as well. When I went to the Honda dealer, they were unable to replicate the issue but said that they had seen 2 people with the same problem in the last week and were nearly confident it was an audio head unit issue that is known within certain years and models of Hondas. They were unwilling to officially diagnose it without replication but I told them that I would be willing to pay to fix this issue because it is a safety hazard and then I was told that the parts were on backorder and I'd have to wait until they arrive in - no estimate provided. Please help - it is very difficult and distracting to drive this car when the issue occurs, and it's impossible to predict when it will occur next.

I own a 2017 Honda Accord “Touring” model that has developed an intermittent audio problem (described below) that is a safety issue because it causes serious driver distraction and impatience to reach a destination to turn the car off. There is NO WAY for the driver to stop the problem without turning the car completely off. Despite numerous reports from others (documented below), Honda has not issued a recall. It is hoping that a “goodwill discount” of 40% or so (offered only if the owner knows to demand it) will prevent a recall. The ONLY fix is to have a Honda dealer replace the OEM “audio head unit”. Without the “goodwill discount”, the installed cost is $1,400 - $1,600 to fix a condition that is obviously out of warranty. The problem is that in hot (85+) weather, even with the audio system turned OFF, a modest “scratching” sound begins from all speakers, gradually becoming a loud, continuous static which lasts for 3 or 4 minutes and then gradually tapers off to silence. If I turn audio power ON while this is occurring, the static instantly becomes intolerably loud until I turn audio power off; then the scratching continues for a few more minutes until it gradually disappears. When this problem is not occurring, the audio system plays normally. This problem is significantly frequent. 10,000 to 15,000 such cars were sold. •CarComplaints.com lists 170 such complaints under the Electrical System and Other Problems categories. •CarProblemZoo.com lists 99 general equipment complaints; the static noise issue stands out as the most common recent problem.. •DriveAccord.net, a popular owner forum: “2017 Accord Radio Static” has around 470 posts. That is a total of about 700+ reports of this problem, on 5 -7% of these vehicles. That is a safety problem that must be recalled! Problem first occurred in May 2025. More frequent in hot weather: 3 times in last 3 days. Symptoms occur randomly and don't last long enough to reach a dealer for diagnosis.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was an extremely loud, piercing distortion sound coming from the speakers. The contact stated that during the failure, the driver was unable to hear oncoming emergency vehicles or horns from other motorists. The contact stated that the loud noise was present while the radio was turned on and, while the radio was turned off. The radio was unplugged to eliminate the loud noise, causing the back-over prevention camera to become inoperable. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 108,000.

This is happening a couple of times a week now. With the audio system locking up while driving making for the audio volume to not be able to be adjusted. They audio system is locking up and there is no way to reset the system while driving. There is not always a place to stop and shut the car off then restart -which is how I have been dealing with this issue for many years now. Sometimes, I am on the highway in heavy traffic while this happens. It is a massive distraction having to listen to blaring commercials that have increased volumes that jars drivers' focus on the situation surrounding me. I have tried holding the power button down for over 5 straight minutes without anything helping. I have tried multiple buttons hoping for a reset... still nothing. Today, this happened again in heavy traffic without a place to stop and do an ignition off/on... as this is how I have been dealing with this issue. The audio system has no volume knob, only flattened button. This happening in heavy traffic is dangerous. My car is a 2017 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid. It appears that this is a known issue with other owners of the 2016-17 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid. This has been happening since the car was new. it's REALLY OLD and dangerous.

The backup camera is no longer working on my vehicle. There was no recall when there was one for other Honda vehicles with the same issue.

Issues with the radio. Unbearable, ear piercing static coming from speakers. You can turn the volume all the way down and even power off the radio and it continues to have loud static coming from speakers. You have to pull over and turn the car off to stop the noise and alot of times it will not stop. There is no way to stop the noise. The car had this same issue when I bought it from a honda dealer. The dealer replaced the radio and 1 year later im having the same issue and the radio is 1 month out of warranty. I was quoted 1400 dollars for a new radio plus labor. Just doing a quick Google search, this seems to be a common problem with this year make and model vehicle. There are no recalls for the radio at this time. This is definitely a safety issue that needs to be addressed. Ive contacted honda america and have a case started.. please follow up on this issue... thanks

The audio system in my car has gone bust - there is a periodic loud static noise that blasts out of the speakers at maximum volume and can not be turned off, even by setting the audio power off. It was brought to the Honda dealership and confirmed the audio system. The noise is so loud and startling that it causes the driver to easily lose focus on the road. It can also be so unexpecting that it can cause sudden jolts in movement, endangering the roadway. When looking online, this seems to be a common issue with the 2017 accord model ex-l as there have been many forums of people posting their same complaints. To make matters worse, there are no after-market replacements that work with the ex-ls dual screen setup and getting the actual part is in indefinite back order. It appears that Honda simply wants us to cope with the dangerous issue.

Worst on hot days. Stereo will crackle and emit high decible, piercing, and inconsistent tones and static. Highly distracting. Only known "fix" is to turn off the car and wait for it to cool and hope it doesn't happen again. Typically starts in rear speakers. Will increase volume suddenly and without warning. Unable to hear traffic noises around vehicle. Turning off audio system does not work to fix it. Will happen on days 80 degrees or more. Full car sun shades did not prevent it from occuring. Numerous online incidents found.

MY BACK UP CAMERA WAS REPLACED IN 2018 DUE TO THE ORIGINAL ONE INSTALLED DURING THE MANUFACTURING STATE BEING DEFECTIVE AND GOING OUT WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY. LAST YEAR MY CAMERA QUIT PROJECTING AN IMAGE ON THE SCREEN. I CAN ONLY SEE THE DIRECTIONAL LINES ON THE SCREEN WHEN IN REVERSE THAT CHANGE COLOR AND APPEARS TO WORK IF I AM OUT OF THE PARKING LINES AND THE SCREEN IS BLACK. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THE CAMERA WILL FLASH AN IMAGE FOR A NANOSECOND ON THE SCREEN BEFORE GOING BLACK. I HAVE GONE TO HONDA REGARDING THIS BUT THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE MY VIN IS A 2017. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE I AM UNABLE TO SEE WHEN BACKING OUT. PLEASE CONSIDER EXTENDING THIS RECALL TO INCLUDE THE 2017 HONDA ACCORDS. I AM SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE.

Driver door and driver side rear door lock actuators both failed very untimely. Car has 55,000 miles on it and is garage kept and accident free. I needed to replace both components as the doors would not lock or unlock and posed an extreme safety hazard. Also the alternator needed to be replaced very untimely making me feel as though there are further electrical issues with this vehicle. I contacted Honda and have not received a response in over two weeks.

I had the radio replaced under warranty but the problem was never solved and only gave a 90day warranty on a refurbished unit. I complained about the refurbished unit and they refused to put a new unit under the waranty. Honda has known about the radio issue creating a very loud static pulsating noise thats unbearable and distracting while driving causing distraction and you would not even be able to hear an emergency vehicle or anything near you while this noise is pulsating at a very high decibels. This problem is all over the internet with people having issues with the very loud noise being distracting and unbearable. Seems this only happens on the hybrid touring model. There is a serious problem with this being a safety issue being very distracting and unbearable. I also get a noise warning exceeding the normal decibels required. I believe the radio is over heating and also might cause a fire in the dash.

Loud static noise from speakers When sound is off / muted , this is a concern to my safety because it’s completely loud making my ears hurt, not only that it’s very difficult to hear around my surroundings with this loud static noise playing, definitely not safe to drive and there is no way to turn it off unless I completely turn off the vehicle. It has not been inspected by anyone or dealership which is why I have made this report.

ABS module went out, from what I’m reading it’s a common issue among Hondas

Mar 16, 2025

The speakers and sound system emit a VERY loud static sound that is often accompanied by computerized sounds. It usually happens after I've been driving the vehicle for about 10-15 minutes. It seems to be coming from the head unit/radio unit, but the sound will continue even if I completely turn off the radio/sound system. It's so loud that it's often hard to concentrate and is going to damage my hearing if it persists. It started happening shortly after my car turned over to 100K miles. There are hundreds and maybe thousands of other Honda Accord owners who have posted online about this VERY same issue (usually 2017) and the Honda dealers recommend replacing the entire unit to the tune of $4-5,000. This is a manufacturer defect!! The ONLY thing that stops the noise is to pull over, turn the car off, and wait 10-15 minutes, but sometimes the sound starts right up again. I have not yet taken my car to the dealer or a repair shop due to the hundreds/thousands of other posts online stating the exact same problem and the recommendation by Honda being to replace a part that was manufactured defectively. The sound is VERY loud and I cannot drive my car very far unless I just want to put up with it and try to ignore it. Even if I put headphones in my ears (which I don't when driving as that's unsafe), I can STILL hear the static. Honda needs to issue a recall for this problem and fix it!

There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

The head unit and stereo system will play static non stop at the highest volume possible. Turning the radio off, the sound off, etc. nothing stops it. It is dangerous, you can not hear anything and it is extremely distracting. The static being played through all the speakers at top volume with no way to make it stop is not safe to be driving with and is liable to drive someone mad.

Feb 27, 2025

There appears to be a model-wide problem with 2017 Honda Accord audio system that manifests in screeching static noise through audio speakers (whether the radio is turned on or not) at decibels in excess of 100 (sounds like a lawnmower being operated inside a closed 4 door sedan). This noise comes with no warning (or waring lights) and shocks the senses that can cause erratic vehicle operation. Once the noise starts, it will last varying lengths of time that include in excess of 12 minutes. The only means to make it stop is by turning off the car, which is not easy or safe if highway driving. The screeching is so loud, it is impossible to hear emergency sirens or honking horns, making this a serious safety issue. This is also very distracting -- imagine a passenger screaming in your ear as loud as they can non-stop -- simply not conducive to safe driving! Honda of America acts like they have never heard of this issue (I can see that many, many 2017 Accord owners have reported this very issue over the last several years). Dealer diagnostics reveal nothing. They only recommend replacing the entire audio head unit ($4K) and owner expense. For a car that is only 7 years old, it is not working as intended. A recall seems warranted. This has been going on over a month now and is getting progressively worse. Please help us. [XXX] Please open this video to hear the problem. There is a VERY loud noise, static-like noise that is coming from my speakers. It won't stop if I turn the stereo off. When the temperature is high from either the outside weather or the heater, it seems to happen then. It now does it all the time if I've been driving for about 20mins. Everything is stock in my car and not modified. There are no warning lights, I have not taken it in to have it looked at yet. I've read that others have had the exact same issue with this model.

My audio unit is BLARING STATIC NOISE AT THE HIGHEST DECIBEL LEVEL POSSIBLE

Jan 5, 2025

The car makes loud static noise that is distracting. The noise is sudden and does not go away by lowering the volume. This has bee a common safety hazard reported by many Honda Accord 9th generation owners. American Honda refuses to recall vehicles to solve this problem. Apparently, it is common knowledge that the audio/navigation head unit is the reson for this loud random static noise.

while driving 40 MPH, I was unable to hear the sirens of an emergency vehicle because there was a loud static noise coming through the speakers. Even, I already turned off audio. loud static noise still persisted. It will distract driver's attention. The failure was intermittent. I have sent my car to deal but they said they couldn't find the root cause. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that there was no recall on the VIN for the issue. The failure mileage was 68000.

Speakers are making loud static noise whenever the radio is turned on or off. After observation, the car does it quite often in heat, especially in Florida weather. It is now doing it in cooler temperatures. Now that there is permanent damage. Sometimes the loudness is very overwhelming. You’re not able to even hear yourself talk in the car. You’re not able to hear if someone is pressing their horn at you because of how loud the noises are. Honda hasn’t offered any solutions to the problem. I have called several times to report this issue. i’ve seen quite a number of people who are having the same issue as I am. There’s a forum on Reddit. There’s people on YouTube. This is an ongoing issue and it needs to be replaced or repaired. I was told by Honda that is an issue with the wiring of the car when the car was manufactured.

The speakers will blast static noise while driving even when the radio is turned off. The engine will need to be powered off to stop the noise. After powering on and driving again the static noise returns within 5 minutes. This is very distracting. This has been happening intermittently for over a month. The audio fuse can be removed to stop the noise from occurring. Unfortunately, this fuse also disables the backup camera and side camera, not an ideal fix. I have MP4 format video available that can be shared via Gmail Google drive.

The audio unit on my 2107 Honda Accord will (seemingly) randomly produce loud, increasing static noise from the speakers that last from 5-10 minutes. There is no way to stop the noise other than to pull over and turn off the car. While that noise is happening nothing else can be heard, other traffic and especially emergency vehicles. This has not been confirmed by a dealer yet or inspected by anyone. (Many online forums bear witness to this problem) No warning lights appeared on the vehicle.

AC is not working on Honda Accord LX 2017. There is a refrigerant leak. Now the Defogger does not work causing safety issue while driving if the windsheild requires defogging. Honda dealer diagnosed that the AC Compressor is leaking from the shaft seal which cannot be repaired unless entire compressor is changed. Honda does have recall/extended warranty for AC Compressor Shaft Seal other models such as Civic and CRV but on Honda Accord 2017 Models they have not extended the warranty on Compressor Shaft Seal yet.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, an abnormally loud static noise would emit from the vehicle without warning. The contact stated that the failure would occur intermittently and that the contact would be forced to pull over and restart the vehicle for the failure to stop. As a result of the failure, the contact experienced a persistent ring noise in both ears, mainly the left ear. The contact sought medical treatment from a doctor and would use ear plugs while driving the vehicle to prevent further ear damage. The manufacturer was initially notified about the failure, the contact was informed that the manufacturer was aware of the failure but that a recall had yet to be placed on the vehicle. The manufacturer referred the contact to a local dealer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was given an estimate for the repair; the contact was later informed that the part needed to repair the vehicle was on backorder. The contact reached back out to the manufacturer and a complaint was filed. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The vehicle turn off and on while driving on the highway, is like the engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. I'm aware there's no recall on my vehicle, however, it's a known issue that Honda had voluntarily recall approximately 2.6 million 2017-2020 Honda vehicles in the United States to replace their fuel pumps, for free due to a similar issue. I have experience this issue of the vehicle shutting down then on while driving in the last couple of weeks and it's increasing each day. The accord was bought for my son to use, if he encounter an accident due to this fuel pump issue and he lose his life, someone would have to be held accountable.

Four lights appeared simultaneously in my dash. It drives fine, just had brakes and rotors replaced, have new tires, the dealership is saying it’s the ABS module that needs replaced and this part alone without labor costs $2200. I have researched and this is an extremely common issue with these Hondas. My vehicle has under 50,000 miles and is in great condition, it’s not feasible that this should be from wear and tear. And it’s occurring with many others of this model and a range of years of these with Honda.

I have a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. The Audio System or Radio has now become dangerous. I filed a complaint with American Honda and they said I had to take it to the dealer for diagnostic and that no Recall or Technical Service Bulletin on my car Audio exists. I created a YouTube video to show the problem. I contacted my local Honda Dealer but they want me to pay a Diagnostic fee. It is over $190 to diagnose the Audio system and no guarantee to fix. Replacement is estimated to be around $2,000. American Honda Customer Service should waive the diagnosis fee or reimburse me for any such independent dealer diagnosis fee. Here is my Youtube video complaint link: [XXX] I am asking for Honda America to Pay for or Reimburse me for getting a Diagnostic on my Audio System from any independent Honda Dealer. I am asking that based on previous customer complaints searchable on the internet that a Technical Service Bulletin or Recall of Audio Systems for Honda Accords from 2017 be created. I am asking for a free replacement of my Audio System despite the warranty being expired because the Deafening and Piercing Sounds are a HAZARD and danger to drivers like myself. There is terrible and Very Loud and Piercing Static coming from the Audio system and speakers even when the Audio system is turned Off on the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. It's intermittent but happens very often and lasts a long time. Many forums also describe similar problems across Hondas and years. Please recall or service bulletin this problem. The sound of Static is deafening and can't be volume controlled. I have been suffering from deafening sounds of intermittent static from the Audio system in my 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. I can't afford to replace the Audio system and there are lots of Online comments from other owners with similar problems. Abs, traction, eps, and brake lights stay on. This causes the traction and brakes not to work properly. Bought my car 10 months ago from Honda and this started about 3 months after. The solenoid is faulty and have heard from several other owners the same. This can be a serious problem for drivers. Part is not available from private auto stores. Only dealership which causes more concern and they should be held liable for components that fault in breaking the vehicle. 2017 Honda accord. Was inspected by Honda on purchase 2023 is what they say. Took in for a oil change 2024 and they do full inspection for free and when I brought it up they said they didn't check it with all lights on.

Speakers or Audio system. Randomly the speakers will get static or noise that comes through it with nothing plugged into it (USB or Bluetooth) and the radio can be off even. Safety issue that it gets progressively louder to the point where at hard to stay in car and drive it. Have to stop the car, turn it off and turn it on to keep driving but the sound returns if driving for more then 10 min. This might be issue that others having as well with 2016-2017 models. Vehicle ABS malfunctioning making some dashboard lights come on. A bunch of random codes in the readers makes it hard to identify the issue. Codes are not specific and a bunch of other components need to be tested/replaced before realizing the actual main issue causing the owner spend a ridiculous amount of money and time. Only dissappear if ABS module is replaced which is hard to find(up to two years of wait) unless bought used which also comes with the same risk of failing prematurely. This problem messes up with the vehicle traction in raw weather conditions, as well as braking, steering, and overall safety of the occupants.

I had noticed a couple of weeks ago that I would try and start the car and it was struggling to start. Two weeks ago I tried to turn on my car and it would not start. I had to jump start it. I went out to run errands. I tried turning the car on again and it would not start. Once again I had to jump start it. Thinking it was the battery, I took it to O'Reilly's since it was still under warranty. The battery was good. They told me to take the car to run a scan. The scan showed no issues with the car. I googled what was happening to my car and I saw it's a common issue with these cars. Since the time I bought the car, I have already had to replace the battery 4 times which is odd because batteries last about 3 years and they are only lasting 1.5 years. As of today, it has been turning on but I can still hear it struggling to turn on.

Carplay freezes or disconnects randomly when in use. Will be driving with navigation is frozen so would be driving past destination and cause a distraction trying to fix it. Or it will randomly disconnect when in use and will keep my eyes of road trying to connect it again or hold my phone while navigating. Honda states there is no update to the system to resolve it or anything they can do, directs people to phone company regarding their system. Phone company states they cant do anything about it. Have read multiple forums with others complaining and no solution.

2017 Honda Accord EX-L 4 Door Sedan 4 Cylinder 2.4L While driving my car I noticed shaking then my car dropped down to 10mph on the highway. when I pressed the pedal to speed up my car started jerking and did not go any faster. all the lights came on my dashboard including ABS. Me and my child safety was at risk because i was doing 10mph on a 45mph highway. we could have been hit. I took my car to the dealer they told me I'm not the only one having this problem with the ABS module and the part is on back order. So that mean there is a defect in the part that's why they cant get everybody need it. I brought it to the dealer they told me its nothing they can do. Not even test the part. i had a message about vehicle stability. maybe about 2months ago.

Abs module failed. Abs pump failed. Wheels locked on highway almost lost control.

2017 HONDA ACCORD EX-L INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM (RADIO) WHEN USING AM/FM/XM STARTS TO STATIC BADLY AND SLOWLY DRIVES TO FULL CRACKLING/STATIC INTERFERENCE NOISE THROUGH ALL SPEAKERS IN THE SYSTEM. POWER ON AND POWER OFF DO NOT CHANGE SYMPTOMS, ONLY PULL OVER AND POWER CAR ON AND OFF. CANNOT HEAR SURROUNDING VEHICLES WHEN DRIVING, EVEN WITH WINDOWS DOWN. DIFFICULT TO CONCENTRATE AND DRIVE SAFELY WITH THE RADIO A MAXIMUM VOLUME WITH STATIC INTERFERENCE. I CAN SUPPLY NUMEROUS VIDEOS OF ME SCREAMING OVER THE NOISE WHILE A PASSENGER TAKES VIDEO OF THIS INTERFERENCE. PLEASE PROVIDE A METHOD FOR ME TO SUPPLY VIDEO OF THIS ISSUE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND HOW UNSAFE THIS CAN BE TO ANY DRIVER INCLUDING MYSELF. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT OR ENGINE TROUBLE LIGHTS. THE PROBLEM IS REPEATABLE AND MY 45MINUTE DAILY COMMUTE. I HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS OR DAMAGE THAT WOULD RESULT IN THIS TYPE OF FAILURE. FAILURE MODE - UNKNOWN.

About 3 months ago, the emergency brake light, traction control light, ABS light and power steering light started coming off and on, they now stay on all the time. I took and had it checked, CODE 121-11 for the VSA Solenoid Valve Malfunction. Had it checked for a program update I was told that there wasn't an update and the part to fix it has been on backorder from Honda for at least two years. (I notified Honda about this) I have a very strange sound when applying the brakes on a cold start and I can also feel a jerk in the brake pedal. Also noticed that oil is leaking around the engine cover and was told that it is a manufacturing issue with Honda. The cover is plastic and over the years, the plastic shrinks and causes a small oil leak. Replacing the cover and gasket would fix this.

Infotainment system crashes/reboots while operating Apple CarPlay. Causing maps, music, and other functionality to be unresponsive. Some think it’s because of the CPU overheating inside the unit. It is available for inspection. This causes the driver to take their eyes off the road due to an unusual occurrence in the vehicle. Problem is hard to replicate. Happens randomly. Problem has not been inspected. Problem happens without warning and occurs in all conditions of driving/infotainment use. Problem first appeared after 3 months of ownership (January 2021).

I received an indication on my dash that there was an issue with the SRS system. I took the vehicle to a certified Honda dealership for diagnostic treatment and it was determined that the wires on the passenger seat had been rubbing on the track that the seat slides on and consequently tore the SRS wires near the passenger seat belt causing a failure in the restraint system.

Feb 14, 2023

I was driving my vehicle and it began displaying messages that my collision mitigation system, road departure mitigation system, adaptive cruise control system, and lane keep assist system all have problems. Simultaneously, my backup camera has ceased working. This is causing my vehicle to randomly lurch forward without being propelled by me, which is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! All of these issues/codes began at the exact same time and it seems this is a widespread problem with Honda Accords manufactured around this year based on prior reports on this site, recalls to subsequent models, and other information publicly available on the internet. When will we get the same recall that has been offered to other models? My vehicle only has 58,000 miles and change on it. There's no reason for it to be functioning in this manner other than its defective manufacturing.

MY ISSUES STARTED WHEN I WAS DRIVING RIGHT HEAHLIGHT WENT OUT, AFTER REPLACING THE HEADLIGHT BULB MY CAR STRATED TO HAVE ISSUES STARTING. ONE TIME YOU COULD TURN IT ON AND NEXT TIME IT WILL TRY TO TURN BUT LIGHT STARTED TO BLICK ON THE DASH BOARD. I TESTED BATTERY TWICE WITH O'RILEY AND HONDA AND HAD 100%. BATTERY PC WAS REPLACE AND CAR WAS WORKING FINE FOR A FEW DAYS. WHEN I WAS GOING TO WORK I NOTICE RIDE SIDE LED LIGHT WAS OFF HALF WAY AND WHEN I TURN THE CAR DID NOTICE RIGHT BULB WAS OUT AND I HAD REPLACE ONE SIDE ALREADY. WHEN I TRY TO FIX THE BULB IS DID TURN ONAS IT SEEM THAT IS WAS LOOSE BUT THEN CAR TURN OFF. AFTER THIS INCIDENT BATTERY WAS DRAIN. THIS IS JUST STARTING AND MIGHT GET TO A STALLING VEHILCE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY SINCE IT DOES SEEM IT HAS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS.

Rear backup camera stopped working at 130k miles

Jan 28, 2023

My rear view camera has been broken for about 2 years, it just completely stopped working. I took my car to the dealership and they confirmed my camera was defective and said that my extended warranty would cover it, I still haven’t taken it in to be fixed yet but I just wanted to report this issue.

Road departure mitigation system problem, adaptive cruise control problem, lane keep assist problem, collision mitigation system problem - lights all started to turn on in 2017 Honda Accord Touring. Took the car to the dealer. Was told that the entire SRS system has failed. The car was bought in 2017 brand new from the dealer and has never been in a car accident. Unclear why a five year old car is already having electrical system failure. Car won’t pass inspection and this is a $1000 repair.

The in dash stereo system with Bluetooth makes loud static noises, regardless of whether the stereo system is on or off. The static noise is extremely loud and unpleasant, and should be considered a safety hazard. The only way to make it stop is to pull the fuse for the head unit. Pulling the fuse makes the infotainment system turn off, which means I can no longer have access to backup camera or the trip computer.

Issue with charging system (B3 Check Charging System). Honda dealer ran full diagnostic test and inspection. Changed battery. Alternator, starter, and fuses inspected. Continue to receive error message stating check charging system.

Oct 19, 2022

The radio/GPS System began to static really loud on its on without me touching the dial. The only way it would stop is when I turned off the vehicle. Honda refused to acknowledge this safety hazard as a factory defect. According to my Internet search, it is a common phenomenon with this model but they want me to pay $1200 to replace the radio system 😩. Please investigate! Sad day for Honda.

FAILURE TO DISPLAY THE REARVIEW IMAGE. There is a recall for 2018 model Honda Accords. NHTSA Recall 18V-629 This specific complaint is for 2013-2017 models as well. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111 - Rear visibility. Due to a software error, the center display assembly that normally displays the rearview image may not provide the rearview image when the vehicle is reversing. Failure to display the rearview image may reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Based on my research the same software bug is affecting the earlier models as well. There is a youtube video titled "2013 2017 honda accord backup not working" 17,512 views Posted Dec 19, 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omSIamlD2ok Due to the unique nature of this issue the view count of this video is significant. Apple Car Play freezes up on the 2017 Honda Accord while the navigation is in play, distracting the driver while on the freeway. The driver does not know when this freeze happens until they miss their exit, causing a big distraction. These cars are being sold as compatible with the Apple phones, but this is not true. American Honda is aware of the problem. Nothing is being done.

The rear doors will not lock/unlock when using the keyless remote. I have replaced the rear doors actuators in June 2022 because the rear doors would not lock/unlock unless I manually locked/unlocked the doors which is a pain. Now not even two months later I am having the same issue with the front passenger door. This is not a cheap repair and there is too many complaints about this very issue not just occurring with the Accord.

Car shuts off while driving. Very dangerous could cause a wreck. Will not start back up for about 20 minutes.

Jul 18, 2022

On Thursday July 14, while driving on HWY 278, the car had a sudden failure and starting decelerating. It almost got me and my daughter who was riding with me at the time killed. Only the grace of God protected us!!! I managed to get the car to the Honda dealer (DCH Academy Honda #708, Old Bridge, NJ). They informed me that the fuel pump failed and needed to change. The problem appeared all of a sudden and there was no warning at all. The car is being maintained regularly. This seems to be a manufacturing problem in the fuel pump for Honda Accord 2017 and it needs to be addressed. Again this almost got me killed!!!!!!

The car is stalling on the highway out of nowhere. Car won’t start back up for about 20 minutes. Car completely shuts off during traffic. Almost caused a big wreck with an 18 wheeler because I was unable to move the car out the middle lane because it shut off. Causing false codes to pop up. Very dangerous situation with my three small children in the car.

Apr 21, 2022 Fire

My 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid was having an issue where several warning lights would light up on the dashboard, so I took it in to Auburn Honda, located at 1801 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603, to get the car serviced under warranty. They made the necessary repair, which was the replacement of a battery component and I picked up the car on 2/2/21. After about 45 minutes of driving the car with no stops immediately after picking up the car, the warning lights returned and the car suddenly shut off. When I tried to restart the car, smoke billowed from the rear. Shortly thereafter, the entire car was engulfed in flames. This incident occurred more than a year ago and ever since I have been trying to get the proper individual or individuals to accept responsibility for this incredibly dangerous and costly incident, for which we have still received NO compensation. My insurance provider, Atlantic Casualty, and Auburn Honda's insurance provider, Federated Insurance, both sent out fire inspectors of their own accord and they concluded that the battery malfunctioning caused the fire. At this time, the car was at Auburn Honda and the inspection was conducted there. My most recent step and what has led me to file this complaint is that I made a claim months ago with American Honda Motor Corporation on the advice of Auburn Honda to find a resolution to this incident. They have been uncooperative and refuse to accept that the fire was caused by the battery. After the car was moved to a junk yard and almost a year had passed from the date of the incident, they sent out their own fire inspector who concluded that the cause of the fire was not the battery. This is on a car that has already been inspected and changed hands and locations several times at this point. They refuse to accept responsibility despite the fact that two independent fire inspectors already concluded that the cause WAS the battery, which is supplied and approved by American Honda Motor Corporation.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle inadvertently slowed down and stalled with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the local dealer where it was diagnosed there was a failure with the wires. Additionally, the engine fan and the other fuel pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000. Consumer stated faulty high pressure fuel pump was the cause of the engine stalling. Consumer has another 2017 Honda Accord that is exhibiting the same issue. Consumer has been informed by American Honda that consumer needs to have it diagnosed at a Honda Dealership.

I purchased the car new on 9/16/16. I have had to replace the battery 4 times and I have had several incidents where the car froze/stalled, especially on left hand turns, for no reason, causing several near-misses from oncoming traffic. This is the record of car issues reported: 4/25/17 @ 9,197 miles – “freeze” issue first reported to the dealer. I did my best to describe it as a loss of power/unable to accelerate through an intersection. Upon a test drive with the service tech, I was unable to re-enact the problem. The dealer could not find any cause for the failure. 10/5/17 @ 15,604 mi - 2nd “freeze” issue reported. Dealer replaced battery stating dead cell was noted and instructed me to keep it out of ECO mode. 3/1/18 - Complained to Dealer that the car was idling rough. Could not find cause. 7/26/18 @ 26,363 mi - 3rd freeze issue complaint, however, no recommendations made. Also complained about idle and vibration in steering wheel. Could not find cause. 5/3/19 @ 36,660 mi - New battery purchased @ Interstate. 2/8/21 @ 56,785 mi - Battery purchased @ Honda for $188. Interstate refunded the purchase price of the battery from 5/19. 3/14/22 @ 73,924 mi - Battery replaced @ Honda. Dealer stated they noted the starter was sticking and it was replaced for $758. I continue to have issues with the car losing power in the middle of a turn, particularly when turning left and have adjusted the collision detection sensor. There are no warning lights or other indicators that I'm losing power... it just happens. I have adjusted by not attempting a turn in the presence of oncoming traffic.

Rear camera not working blurry Only 31500 miles

Jan 20, 2022

I have continue to have issues with my navigation freezing. Then the whole navigation system will shut off and will eventually do a reboot in the middle of driving. It is definitely a safety hazard as you are trying to drive, navigate and try to figure out why your navigation system is breaking and not working working while driving. Especially If you are driving in an unfamiliar area using your navigation because you actually need it, then it becomes very frustrating and very dangerous and hazardous.

BACKUP/REVERSE CAMERA HAS FAILED. WHEN THE CAR IS PUT INTO REVERSE, THE IN CAR MONITOR DISPLAYS A BLACK SCREEN WITH YELLOW GRID LINES. CAMERA IMAGE IS NO LONGER DISPLAYED. RESETTING CAMERA SETTINGS TO DEFAULT DOES NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A CLEAR SAFETY ISSUE, ESPECIALLY AROUND SMALL CHILDREN. DRIVERS HAVE COME TO RELY ON BACKUP CAMERAS TO DETECT SMALL CHILDREN AND OBSTACLES THAT CANNOT BE SEEN WITH JUST THE USE OF A REAR VIEW MIRROR. A CAMERAS FAILURE CREATES A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGEROUS WHEN BACKING UP. THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION IS 6 MONTHS OUTSIDE THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY AND HAS LESS THAN 32K MILES. THE CAMERAS FAILURE THIS EARLY IN THE VEHICLES LIFECYCLE IS INDICATIVE OF A DEFECT AND NOT DUE TO AGE. ADDITIONALLY, HONDA CAMERA FAILURES ARE A KNOWN ISSUE, SUBJECT TO A RECALL, ON 2018 HONDA ACCORDS. THERE IS A LIKELY POSSIBILITY THAT THE SAME CAMERAS WERE INSTALLED IN MANY 2017 HONDA ACCORDS.

I SWITCHED BACK TO MY ORIGINAL CAMERA VIEW AND THE STATIC STOPPED, BUT MY SCREEN IS STILL BLACK ON REAR CAMERA MODE. I'VE BEEN SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET AND IT SEEMS MANY HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE. REAR CAMERAS ON OTHER MODELS OF THE HONDA ACCORD HAVE HAD RECALLS. GIVEN SO MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, IT WOULD ONLY BE APPROPRIATE FOR THE 2017 ACCORD TO BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALLS.

Feb 1, 2021

VEHICLE HAS BEEN DEAD ON 4+ OCCASIONS. STATIONARY, IN GARAGE. VEHICLE IS DRIVEN AS LITTLE AS ONCE PER WEEK AT TIMES BUT THE BATTERY OR ELECTRIC DRAW HAS CAUSED THE CAR TO FAIL IN AS LITTLE AS A COUPLE DAYS OR EVEN TRUNK BEING OPEN FOR 15-20MIN. I'VE HAD TO TOW THIS VEHICLE 3TIMES FOR SERVICE. DEALER IS BRUSHING THIS OFF WITHOUT RESPONSIBILITY. SAYING THE CAR HAS TO BE DRIVEN FOR MORE THAN 20MINUTES TO RECEIVE FULL CHARGE. ALSO, THE VEHICLE HAS A NUMBER OF ELECTRONICS THAT REQUIRE THE VEHICLE TO BE DRIVEN MORE. THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE THE BATTERY UNLESS IT CHECKS BAD. THE ISSUE IS AN ELECTRICAL DRAW. MOST LIKELY SEEMS RELATED TO THE REAR HATCH. BATTERY SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH A LARGER CAPACITY AND THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE RECALLED AND DIAGNOSED FOR ELECTRICAL DRAW FAILURES.

I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THE SAME PROBLEM. BASED ON MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, CAR BATTERY LASTS SEVEN TO TEN YEARS BEFORE EXPERIENCING ANY TROUBLE. I THINK EITHER THERE IS A FAULTY SENSOR OR A SYSTEM IN THE CAR THAT STAYS ON WHEN THE CAR ENGINE IS TURNED OFF RESULTING IN THE COMPLETE DISCHARGE OF THE BATTERY.

SINCE I PURCHASED THE 2017 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID TOURING VEHICLE IN OCT 2016 I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE STEREO SYSTEM MAINTAINING A CARPLAY CONNECTION FROM MY IPHONE X TO THE CAR STEREO VIA THE CABLE CONNECTION. IT STARTED OUT AS OCCASIONAL DISCONNECTIONS AND PERIODIC LOSSES OF MUSIC OR SOUND FROM MY IPHONE TO COMPLETE RANDOM REBOOTS OF STEREO AND ABOVE STEREO DISPLAY. IN THE LAST YEAR I CAN NO LONGER USE CARPLAY AT ALL WITHOUT MY PHONE LOSING CONNECTION WHEN USING GOOGLE MAPS, APPLE MAPS, PANDORA, PHONE CALLS OR ANY CARPLAY APPS. MY STEREO NOW CONSTANTLY REBOOTS ITSELF, STOPS SOUNDS FROM BEING EMITTED FROM PHONE, RANDOMLY DISCONNECTS MY VOICE DURING PHONE CALLS BUT SHOWS CONNECTED STILL, STEREO FREEZES AND SO DOES THE SCREEN ABOVE THE STEREO, RANDOMLY SHOWS ANDROID (STEREO SYSTEM DESIGNED ON ANDROID SOFTWARE) ERRORS. SOMETIME I CAN DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT THE CABLE AND THAT SOLVES IT WHILE OTHER TIMES THE ONLY FIX IS FOR ME TO PULL OVER, TURN OFF MY CAR AND TURN IT BACK ON. I HAVE REPLACED THE CABLE MULTIPLE TIMES WITH DIRECT FROM APPLE CABLES AND MOST RECENTLY GOT THE NEW IPHONE 12 PRO AND IT ALL STILL HAPPENS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE STEREO A FEW WEEKS AGO AND WHEN I DROPPED MY CAR OFF I HAD THE IPHONE X AND WHEN I PICKED IT UP I HAD THE NEW IPHONE 12 PRO WITH NEW CABLE AND ON MY WAY HOME I USED GOOGLE MAPS AND MADE A CALL AND WITH THE NEW STEREO INSTALLED THE HONDA STEREO COMPLETELY REBOOTED ITSELF AS IT HAD PREVIOUSLY WITH IPHONE X AND REPLACED CABLES. THIS IS NOT A ONE OFF AS LITTLE GOOGLE RESEARCH SHOWS OTHERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING AND HONDA HAS OTHER VEHICLES WITH A MYRIAD OF CARPLAY AND STEREO PROBLEMS. I SPENT ALMOST $3K MORE FOR THIS CAR OVER THE TOYOTA COMPARABLE AT THE TIME SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE I TRAVEL AND WANTED CARPLAY TO USE APPLE MAPS OR GOOGLE MAPS AND NOW I CAN'T USE CARPLAY AT ALL.

MY AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY AT THE TIME OF FRONTAL ACCIDENT AT APPROXIMATELY 30-40 MPH. ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON COUNTY STREET (GLEN MILL RD MONTGOMERY COUNTY MARYLAND) JANUARY 25TH AT 6:30 AM. WITH THE ROAD BEING VERY DARK, I DIDN'T SEE A FULL SIZE TREE ACROSS THE ROADWAY FROM A SEVERE STORM THE NIGHT BEFORE. I ANTICIPATED THE AIRBAG DEPLOYING ON IMPACT, HOWEVER IT SEEM LIKE A MINUTE OR TWO BEFORE THEY DEPLOYED BUT NEVER INFLATED ( NIETHER THE FRONT OR PASSANGER SIDE CURTIN) PHOTOS ARE ON MY PHONE AND WILL SEND WHEN I CAN DOWNLOAD ON THIS SITE.

BACKUP SYSTEM NOT WORKING

Dec 11, 2019

TWO DAYS AGO THE SUNROOF OPENED ON ITS OWN WHILE CAR WAS PARKED AND OFF. IT OPENED OVERNIGHT DURING A RAINSTORM. I CLOSED THE SUNROOF. I WAS PUZZLED BUT THE CAR SEEMED FINE AND DROVE FINE. TODAY THE CAR IS COMPLETELY DEAD. IT JUMP-STARTED BUT THERE NUMEROUS SYMBOLS LIT ON THE DASHBOARD SO MY MECHANIC ADVISED ME TO HAVE IT TOWED, IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE. HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AND THAT DIDN'T WORK. THE SAFETY FEATURES ON THE CAR ARE NO LONGER OPERATING (ABS, LKAS, ACC). THESE FEATURES ALL STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS WAS TERRIFYING AND COULD BE AN ISSUE IF SOMEONE IS USED TO HAVING THESE FEATURES AVAILABLE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY DON'T WORK. IF A DRIVER IS DEPENDENT ON THESE SAFETY FEATURES AFTER DRIVING FOR SEVERAL YEARS WITH HAVING THEM ON, A DRIVER COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE HARM TO THEMSELVES OR OTHERS IF THESE FEATURES ARE SUDDENLY NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY. WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER THE CAR WARRANTY. CAR IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS UNDER 60K MILES.

THIS MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK I STOPPED FOR GAS, TURNED OFF MY CAR, WENT TO RESTART WHEN MY DASH STARTED GOING CRAZY AND FLICKING ON AND OFF. IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN SO MY HUSBAND HAD TO LEAVE WORK AND COME JUMP ME, WE DROVE IT HOME, IT SAT FOR 3 MINS THEN TRIED TO START IT AGAIN WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED. WE DECIDED TO LET THE CAR STAY PLUGGED INTO A TRICKLE BATTERY CHARGER ALL DAY WHILE I WENT TO WORK. AFTER WE GOT HOME, WE DECIDED TO TEST IT, AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. WE WERE ABLE TO TURN IT ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT HESITATION ALL UNTIL WE LET 5 MINS PASS IN BETWEEN STARTS WHEN THE FLICKERING OF THE DARK BEGAN AGAIN AND THE CAR REFUSED TO START. MY CAR HAS LESS THAN 50K MILES ON IT, THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED WHEN SO MANY USERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. WHEN WE GOT HOME WE CHECKED THE BATTERY AND IT WAS READING 12VOLTZ. WE HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE FROM SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS BEING DONE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. LAST NIGHT I HAD JUST GOTTEN HOME FROM WORKED AND GONE IN THE HOUSE TO CHANGE FOR CHURCH. LESS THAN 5 MINUTES LATER, I RETURNED TO MY CAR AND WHEN TRYING TO START IT, IT WOULD START UP. LIGHTS FLICKERED ON DASH, BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN OVER. HAD ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE COME TO JUMP START CAR. LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. CAR WON'T START AFTER DRIVING THIS MORNING AND THIS AFTERNOON ALREADY. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HIS HAPPENED THIS YEAR, WITH IN A FEW MONTHS. CAR HAS LESS THAT 50K MILES. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO BECAUSE IF I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS.

SINCE I BOUGHT MY 2017 ACCORD MANY TIMES AFTER DRIVING THE CAR AND TURNING OFF THE ENGINE I TRIED TO START IT DIDN'T I HAD TO HAVE IT A BOOST THEN IT RUNS FINE WITH SOME DASH LIGHTS ON THEN THEY DISAPPEAR ONCE I DRIVE AFTER MANY TIMES I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID YOUR BATTERY IS GOOD AND NO ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND THEN I READ ONLINE I SAW TONS OF PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE HONDA BATTERY TO A BIGGER BATTERY WITH HIGHER CCA BECAUSE THIS BATTERY IS WEAK AND IT CAUSE A STALL CONSEQUENTLY A CRASH OR THE CAR WILL NOT START IF YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE IT'S CLEAR THIS IS A HONDA PROBLEM THAT I'LL HAVE TO BUY A BIGGER BATTERY WITH HIGHER CCA AND CAPACITY TO AVOID AS THEY SAID(NOT HONDA) THIS PROBLEM TO HAPPEN AGAIN THANK YOU VERY MUCH THIS CAR IS 28 DAYS OLD

FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN TWO MONTHS, THE EMISSIONS/ELECTRICAL/CHECK ENGINE ON THE 2017 HONDA ACCORD IS AN ISSUE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE INTERNET AND I AM FINDING THAT THIS IS A COMMON ERROR ON THE 2016 HONDA'S AND NEWER. THE EMISSION ERROR SYSTEM HAS COME ON AGAIN. THE LAST TIME I HAD THIS PROBLEM THE CONVERTER HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE SYSTEM ERROR COMES ON WHEN DRIVING WHEN RAINING, WHICH MAKES ME BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ALSO A ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AS WELL. I FIND THIS CONCERNING ON A NEW, 100 PERCENT DEALER MAINTAINED VEHICLE. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY AN ELECTRICAL/EMISSION PROBLEM IN THE SYSTEM AND IT REQUIRES AN INDEPENDENT PARTY TO REVIEW. THE TECH STATES NO ISSUE CAN ARISE FROM HAVING THE CHECK ENGINE/EMISSION LIGHT ON BUT THE CAR DOES TEND TO LOSE POWER DURING THESE ISSUES. HONDA OWNERS SHOULD NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR MANUFACTURE ERRORS.

IT'S BEEN 1 MONTH SINCE THEN AND MY CAR WON'T START AT THE ODDEST TIMES EVEN AFTER I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR A WHILE. CAR WON'T START OR TURN OVER AND THE LIGHTS JUST FLICKER ON AND OFF. IN THE FIRST SEVERAL WEEKS OF OWNERSHIP, I NOTICE A SLIGHT VIBRATION INSIDE THE CAR--FLOORBOARD, STEERING WHEEL, DASH BOARD--WHEN THE BLOWER MOTOR WAS TURNED ON WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. IT WAS FAINT AT FIRST, BUT THE VIBRATION HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. THE VIBRATION SEEMS MORE EXAGGERATED WHEN THE BLOWER AND A/C ARE ON TOGETHER, BUT THE VIBRATION IS STILL PRESENT WITH ONLY THE BLOWER MOTOR ON WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. I DON'T RECALL ANY SOUND WITH THE VIBRATION. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THE VIBRATION WAS WAITING AT A STOP LIGHT. I TURNED THE BLOWER MOTOR ON FOR HEAT OR OUTSIDE AIR WHEN I NOTICED A FAINT VIBRATION AS I SAT IDLING, AT A STOP LIGHT. NOW, WHEN THE BLOWER MOTOR IS USED WITH VENTILATION, A/C, HEAT, ETC., THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR EMITS A DISTINCT VIBRATION UNTIL THE BLOWER MOTOR IS TURNED OFF. WITH THE ENGINE OFF, I HAVE TURNED THE BLOWER MOTOR ON AND THERE IS NO NOTICEABLE VIBRATION, SO THE BLOWER MOTOR VIBRATION APPEARS TO BE LINKED TO THE RUNNING ENGINE.

MY CAR BRAKING SYSTEM AND ALL THE SAFETY SYSTEMS STOPPED FUNCTIONING ON MY CAR WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY (GARDEN STATE PARKWAY SOUTH) THIS MORNING, 3/15/2019. MY BRAKES DID NOT WORK TO SLOW THE CAR DOWN AT ALL. WHEN IT INITIALLY STARTED TO SHOW THE ERROR MESSAGES I TRIED TO USE THE BRAKES AND IT FELT LIKE MY CAR ACCELERATED. I LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO ALLOW MY CAR TO SLOW DOWN NATURALLY AND GET OFF AT A REST STOP (MONMOUTH REST AREA, AND FORCE PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO A STOP AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK. IT WAS REALLY A SCARY SITUATION ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY TO HAVE YOUR BRAKES NOT WORK AT ALL. I WAS ADVISED IT COULD BE A LIE BATTERY INDICATOR OF THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM THAT IS ALL CONNECTED TO EVEN THE BRAKES. IT IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS THAT AN ELECTRICAL GLITCH OR MALFUNCTION CAN COMPLETELY DISABLE MY BRAKING SYSTEM AND ALL OTHER SAFETY FEATURES.

MY HONDA ACCORD 2017 4 CYN ALL OF DASH BOARD LIGHTS LIT UP, THE STEERING WHEEL PARTIALLY LOCKED WHILE I WAS DRIVING GOING 55 MPH. I PULLED OVER AND COULDN'T CUT THE CAR OFF WITH MY START BUTTON. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY CUT IT CUT OFF. THEN IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. THEN AFTER ANOTHER 5 MINUTES IT STARTED AND I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP JANUARY 2019. ABOUT SEVEN MONTHS EARLIER, MY CAR WOULD START AT ALL. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEY TOLD ME ONLY THING IT MIGHT BE WAS THE BATTERY, I BOUGHT A BATTERY AND MY CAR WAS ONLY 11 MONTHS OLD. RECENTLY, FEBRUARY 2019, NOW MY BATTERY IS 7 MONTHS OLD, MY CAR WOULDN'T START AGAIN. THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR, BUT I AM HAVING ISSUES. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I START MY CAR AND THE DASH LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON AND I HOLD THE BUTTON ON THE DASH AND THE SYSTEM REBOOT AND THE DASH LIGHT COME ON. MY CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP AND NOW IT IS STARTING, BUT THE SAID EVERYTHING IS REGISTERING THAT NOTHING IS WRONG. I HAVE AN HUGE ISSUE BECAUSE I CAN'T BE STRAINED IN THIS COLD WINTER WEATHER AND MY CAR NOT STARTING. I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A RECALL, WHEN I GOT TO THE DEALERSHIP I TRIED TO ROLL UP MY WINDOW IT WENT HALF WAY UP AND THAN CAME BACK DOWN, I TRIED THIS SEVERAL TIMES IN FRONT OF 3 SERVICE MEN, THEY SAID THAT'S STRANGE I SAID I KNOW THIS JUST HAPPENED. SO OF COURSE WHEN I DROPPED OFF ME CAR THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY IT WOULD NOT DO THAT FOR THEM, BUT OF COURSE THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF BY THAN. SO WHEN MY CAR WAS DOWN I LET THE DEALERSHIP WENT INTO THE STORE AND WHEN I CAME OUT ALL MY WINDOWS WERE HALF WAY DOWN AND MY SUNROOF WAS CRACKED OPEN. I CALL MY SERVICE GUY AND EXPLAINED TO HIM WHAT HAPPENED, SO THE NEXT DAY I TOOK MY CAR BACK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND OF COURSE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN FOR THEM..THE SERVICE MAN SAID WELL IF YOU HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON ALL YOUR WINDOWS WILL OPEN I SAID THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE I WAS IN THE STORE WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND THERE WAS NO WAS I COULD HAVE OPENED IT! IT SOMETIMES HAPPENS WHEN I PARK AND LOCK THE DOORS FROM OUTSIDE AND THE LOCKS CONTINUE TO CLICK UNTIL I COME BACK TO THE CAR AND RE LOCK THE DOORS. IT WILL ALSO MAKE THE NOISE WHEN I SHUT THE DOOR AND I HAVE NOT STARTED THE CAR YET. SOMETIMES I WILL BE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT JUST STARTS THE CLICKING NOISE. TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM PROBLEM. (TPMS PROBLEM) ON A NEW 2017 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID SEDAN! AS AT 07/08/17. TPM PROBLEM. I BOUGHT MY NEW 2017 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID FOR ITS RELIABILITY. IN LESS THAN SIX MONTHS. TWO MICHILIN TIRES HAVE BLOWN OUT. BOTH FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR DRIVER SIDE. THE REAR ONE BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. IT WAS INITIALLY GIVING ME LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNINGS. AFTER A WEEK OF TAKING IT TO THE DELEARSHIP I BOUGHT IT TO LOOK AT IT AND REPAIR, IT BLEW OUT UNEXPECTEDLY ON 07/06/17. I ALWAYS REPLACE THOSE TIRE WITH MY OWN MONEY. THE DELEARSHIP TOLD ME THE TIRES DON'T COME WITH WARRANTY! WHAT? NEW TIRES FROM MICHILIN? INCREDIBLY UNBELIEVABLE RIGHT. I HAVE PERSONALLY CONTACTED MICHILIN TODAY 07/08/17 AND THEY SAID THEY'LL GIVE ME A CALL. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP ON 07/08/17. THEY SAID THEY HAD REPAIRED AND TEST DROVE IT. IN LESS THAN 5 MILES OF DRIVING AVERAGE OF 45MPH, THE SYSTEM READ. "TPM PRONLEM". TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING PROBLEM. WITH THE WARNING SIGN OF LOW TIRE PRESSURE INSCRIBED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. WITH SO MUCH DISAPPOINTMENT AND UNPREDICTABILITY THAT I WRITE THIS LETTER. NOT KNOWING WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT WITH MY NEW 2017 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM PROBLEM. NOT EVEN COUNTING THE DAMAGES CAUSED: EMOTIONAL PAIN WITH THE LOVE I DEVELOPED FOR MY VEHICLE, THE DISAPPOINTMENT, THE FINANCIAL COST-THE CAR IS ACTUALLY NOT EQUIPPED WITH A SPARE TIRE. ANY TIME THE TIRE BLOWS OUT, I NEED TO EMERGENTLY REPAIR IT WITH MY OWN OUT OF POCKET MONEY UNEXPECTEDLY. UNSAFENESS- THE FIRST MICHILIN TIRE BLEW OUT UNEXPECTEDLY AT NIGHT AFTER 10 PM AT A LOCATION IN CHICAGO I HAD NO IDEA WITH. I HAD TO DRIVE IT AND PARK IT IN DARKNESS AT A SHELL FILLING STATION WHERE IT COULD HAVE BEEN TOWED. I HAD TO TAKE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION MORE THAN AN HOUR BACK TO HOME WHERE I LIVED. SO UNSAFE.
