I am submitting this as a formal and urgent complaint regarding serious safety issues with a vehicle I recently purchased. The trunk opens on its own while I am driving, which creates an immediate safety hazard. In addition, the backup camera is malfunctioning, further increasing the risk when reversing or parking. Shortly after reporting the trunk issue, the radio also stopped working. I have contacted the dealership regarding these concerns, but no corrective action has been taken. Given that this vehicle was recently purchased and involves active safety risks, this lack of response is unacceptable. I am requesting immediate inspection and repair of these issues, as well as written confirmation of how the dealership plans to resolve this matter promptly. Please consider this issue urgent due to the safety risks involved. I look forward to your immediate response.

The car will have all lights on dashboard showing, car has been taken multiple times to dealership and nothing seems to be wrong but this cause all safety features to malfunction. I have talked with other Honda owners, on forums and acquaintances and they have similar issues.

Dec 22, 2025

Honda needs to recall all the newer vehicles starting with 2018 to 2024. All lights on the dashboard is on and while I’m on highway, the car would apply the brake itself and when I released my foot from the pedal, the car run smoothly again. I took the car to Honda dealership last year and I was charged over 1500 dollars, still the car is having the same issue. This is frustrating. Today, the car is showing the camera like I was trying to back up, even though the car was on drive mode. Unbelievable.

Dec 10, 2025

While driving, the power steering warning came on and the steering wheel became extremely tight, making it very difficult to turn. This has happened more than once, most recently on December 8, 2025. The loss of steering assist occurred while the vehicle was in motion and created a serious safety concern. The dealership retrieved diagnostic code C1250-52, which indicates an internal malfunction of the electric brake booster ECU. The steering issue and warning occurred again after the initial diagnosis. The system appears to fail intermittently and without warning. I have owned multiple Honda Accord vehicles over the years and have never experienced anything like this. Sudden loss of steering assist while driving is a safety defect, and similar issues have been reported by other owners of 2018–2022 Honda Accord models.

All my warning lights keep coming on in dashboard and my car isn’t accelerating in cold weather after sitting overnight

Nov 20, 2025

Car has lost power or gone into "limp mode" while driving on multiple occasions. Car was never listed under the fuel pump recall but had all associated symptoms & problems. Had to have fuel pumps replaced in December 2023 due to car not starting because of faulty fuel pumps. Car has been properly maintenced since purchased brand new in February 2018. currently around 121,000 miles. Car overheated this past summer, Coolant seems to be leaking somewhere as just filled with coolant month ago and needed to refill with about quarter to refill to correct amount. Oil also seems to be having slow leakage problem somewhere within the engine as there is excessive oil on drip pan. Had all 4 spark plugs changed in March of 2025. Car has been going into limp mode and looses power for few seconds to minutes sometimes, almost causing multiple accidents while driving on highways. Pull over to shut off and give few minutes to restart and able to resume driving No warnings before this occurs. Randomly all dashboard lights light up 2 weeks ago and put car into limp mode, was driving on highway at high rate of speed (65mph) safety was compromised several times while this occurs. Engine seems create knocking sounds to known due to oil dilution problem. Cold weather seems to affect issues to onset more often. Also been having stalled or rough start ups in colder weather or when engine is not warmed up. Researching these issues seems to be that 2018 Honda Accords had known head gasket failure. This should become a class action lawsuit and also a recall

Nov 17, 2025

I was driving in my car cut off in the middle of the highway. I was able to coast to side of the road. I took my car to the Honda accord dealership after that and was told it was my head gasket. After that repair, my car cut off once again. I took it back to Honda and was told that I now needed to replace the turbo charger which I’m unable to pay for after paying several thousands of dollar for the head gasket.

Nov 12, 2025

Emission system, low acceleration to the point it becomes a safety hazard in the freeway, I almost got rear ended twice, the car jolts, it stops out of no where, head gasket issues at only 65k. Maintenance was kept up but there’s a Facebook group called Honda sport 2018 to 22 on these models of the same issue “Christmas tree lights”

Nov 9, 2025

Door locks alternate not locking/unlocking with either the door buttons or key fob buttons (battery is good). Available for inspection. Vehicle has not been inspected. No warnings prior. This has happened on and off for about 2 years and now seems like it’s 24/7 a thing with multiple doors at a time now.

Nov 1, 2025

My vehicle is losing power while traveling on the road. All of the system lights are flashing and the gas mileage is ridiculous. It sputters uncontrollably and just stalls out and drops speed really quick. I’m really concerned for my well being. I’ve spent so much money trying to fix these issues and I don’t think it’s fair to me or any other Honda owner to have to be held responsible for something that is clearly a manufacturing issue. Although there was not a crash during this incident, it’s very dangerous and I’m terrified to drive my car but I have no other transportation right now.

Oct 30, 2025

While accelerating car jerks at times. At time car will go in limp mode I’ll have to safely try to get to side of road turn car off. Restart and continue driving. I’ve changed spark plugs, coil packs, turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump and battery. I continue to put money into my car and nothing helps.

Oct 15, 2025

Car has been giving me issues with the check light engine. They changed spark plugs and the head gasket and still giving me issues.

Oct 3, 2025

headgasket blew at 73k miles out of nowhere no check engine light no smoke no warning nothing car was taken care of its whole life car locked up during headgasket failure almost causing accident on road near house called Honda to explain the mishap they were snotty and acted like they didnt care wouldn't provide repair for free or even ask me if I was ok or if I needed help. I am a part of a 1oth generation honda group on Facebook and there are alot of us who should be helpedfor this very dangerous and random mishap

Sep 23, 2025

I own a 2018 Honda Accord Sport. About 2–3 months ago, the car began having repeated engine misfires (P0301), hesitation, and stalling while driving. At the same time, multiple dashboard warnings appear, including Steering Assist Reduced, Brake System Problem, Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem, Emission System Problem, and Hill Start Assist Problem, these failures occur suddenly while the vehicle is in motion, creating a serious risk of loss of engine power, reduced braking performance, loss of steering assist, and disabled crash-avoidance systems. I have already performed extensive maintenance: new ignition coils, a full tune-up, compression test, spark test, and battery/alternator check, yet the issues remain. Diagnostic scans also showed U0416-68 (invalid data from ABS/VSA module) in addition to the misfire. This suggests not only a fuel/propulsion defect but also a possible computer/control module failure that links engine, brakes, steering, and ADAS systems. These conditions match known recalls for the Accord, including 23V858000 (fuel pump failure), 20V314000 (low-pressure fuel pump), and 20V771000 (BCM software issue), yet my VIN does not currently show as included. The fact that multiple critical safety systems fail simultaneously makes this a major safety hazard that could easily lead to an accident if the car stalls, loses braking, or loses steering assist in traffic. I opened a case with Honda Customer Service (Case #15868389), but they refused to cover the repair since my VIN is not listed, despite the failures being identical to those described in the recalls. I strongly believe my vehicle should be included, and I request that NHTSA investigate whether the recall VIN range needs to be expanded.

Recently bought this car a month ago. I started having problems with acceleration, as if the car was “bucking” every time i would press the gas normally at a red light or stop sign, accelerating from a stop. The vehicle wouldn’t make it up a hill while accelerating it was very hard bucking. I tried pressing the gas a little harder and the check engine light flashed and the car went into limp mode so i had to pull over. Made it back home and i was driving normally and every light you can imagine came up on the dash. I’ve heard from many others with the accord they’ve had the same problems but once they get it fixed the problems keep happening or the vehicle blows up. I just paid full in cash for this car and my total is fix it is already at 5k to fix.

Sep 22, 2025

When gas gets low, all the warnings come up on the dash and LKAS turns off. Unable to use any features.

Sep 8, 2025

While trying to accelerate the car loses power. This has happened many times. The Honda dealership has said the system is on back order and they will call me when it’s available. It’s been months. The “jerks”a few times then the check engine light comes on then the car loses power. The dashboard lights are brake system, emission system, electric power steering, hill assist and ACC system problem.

- Year: 2018 - Make: Honda - Model: Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo - Vehicle Identification Number : [XXX] I am writing to report a safety concern with my 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo. The vehicle has developed a head gasket problem, which has resulted in significant engine issues. Additionally, I have experienced fuel injector problems, leading to decreased fuel efficiency and rough engine performance. Despite following the recommended maintenance schedule and addressing the issues with the dealer, the problems persist. I have been quoted $7,800 for repairs, which is unacceptable given the vehicle's age and mileage (currently 114,848 miles). I am concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle, especially when driving on the highway. The vehicle's blown head gasket has caused ¹: - Loss of power, leading to potential safety issues on the road - Engine hesitation and shutdown while driving, which can increase the risk of accidents I request that NHTSA investigate this matter further and take necessary actions to address the recurring issues with the 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 Turbo engine. I would appreciate guidance on potential next steps to resolve this issue and ensure the vehicle's safety and reliability. - Repair estimates and records from the dealer - Maintenance records, including oil changes and fuel system cleanings - Correspondence with Honda dealership and corporate office Other owners have reported similar issues with the 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 Turbo, including fuel injector problems and blown head gaskets ² ³ ⁴. Condensor leak and compressor not working. Condensor replaced under Honda service bulletin but compressor not holding pressure.

Aug 6, 2025

I own a 2018 Honda Accord EX‑L (VIN#: [XXX]). Shortly after a service visit to a Honda dealer for unrelated maintenance (in Sep. 2024 with an estimated 50,000 miles), the dashboard began showing ‘Supplemental Restraint System Problem – See Dealer’. A dealer quoted $400+ to diagnose and replace what appears to be a common passenger airbag indicator sensor failure, a known issue reported by many 2018 Accord owners. I believe Honda should issue a recall due to the safety risk. I’m filing this as a VOQ complaint for ODI’s review and authorize NHTSA to share my identifying info with Honda if needed. Supporting Documentation and numerous examples of complaints from hundreds of Honda Accord owners relating to this problem: - Numerous drivers of 2018 Honda Accords have reported the identical warning (“Supplemental Restraint System Problem – See Dealer”) along with fault code B002013, intermittent dashboard behavior, and inability of dealers to resolve it consistently. - Honda’s 2024 Campaign 24‑050 identifies the seat weight sensor as directly causing SRS warnings and passenger airbag indicator failure - demonstrating this component is known to fail and trigger airbag system alert behavior, even if not yet applied to 2018 model year. - Independent coverage confirms the risk and design defect in seat sensors causing unintended SRS failures, underscoring the safety risk and Honda’s formal acknowledgment of the issue in later models. - Multiple complaints about post‑service warning lights that match this scenario (electrical system category), and public news coverage stating Honda is recalling vehicles due to faulty passenger seat sensors that may cause airbag or SRS failures. - 37 official complaints for the 2018 Accord, with no repair by dealer and failure left unresolved. One report (May 12, 2025) describes this exact issue saying the dashboard message randomly popped up and a "dealer wanted $250 diagnostic and $4,000 to repair. - My service quote attached. Jul 14, 2025

Head gasket blown

Jul 13, 2025

Doesn’t run as it should, all lights and warnings show on the dash

Jul 11, 2025

There are 10 warning lights currently on the dash. This is and has been an ongoing issue for over a year. Turning off the car then turning it back on the lights would go away. The car would periodically start to slow on its own while foot was still on the gas pedal which was dangerous in the middle of traffic or going 65 to 70 miles per hour on a highway. December 31, 2024 my car got towed to the Honda Dealership because the car stalled and wouldn't go past 15 miles per hour. Again the dash lit up. It was my understanding that it was because of the latest recall of the fuel pump issue that took over a year to be completed. The recall of the fuel pump was done January 6, 2025which took a week to complete and a week of work I missed with no available loaner car available to me. Once I got the car back the lights were not on the dash anymore but within 5 minutes of driving the car the lights came back on but the car did not stall and was able to go past the 15 miles per hour that was the original problem. Since January 2025 I have been dealing with these warning indicator lights and being the lights were on when Honda received the car to perform the recall I would assume a diagnosis would have been done but once I got the receipt there was no other issues recorded that was wrong with the car. There are absolutely too many Honda Accords with this problem. I've read everything from moisture in the tail lights triggering the lights, faulty battery, head gaskets, injectors to spark plugs. My car is no longer under a warranty and I have no means of paying for a guessing game when it comes to diagnosing the real problem with these cars. People are paying $5000 sometimes more and still having the same problem once they drive away. I honestly think a recall on this issue need to happen before something tragic happens. Maybe because it took over a year for Honda to get parts in to fix the recall fuel pump issue this is an exact result of going so long with the faulty fuel pump.

My 2018 Honda Accord has become unsafe to drive. The car will not go over 15 mph, all the warning lights on the dashboard are on, and the engine and transmission feel shaky. The entire car shakes when I try to drive it, and it seems like multiple systems are failing at once. This happened suddenly and has made the car undriveable. My safety was put at risk because the loss of power happened while I was on the road. The problem has been looked at by my independent mechanic, but it has not been resolved. The vehicle is available for inspection.

The door locks are unresponsive using both the fob and the vehicle controls. The problem started with a rear door not locking or unlocking when the other doors would lock. Eventually all doors became unresponsive. The doors now require me to manually lock each and use my fob key to unlock the driver door and manually unlock each door. I've replaced fuses to try to resolve the issue with no luck. It seems that the door lock actuators failed prematurely.

Jun 11, 2025

This is about the 5th time this has happened to the car. All warning lights appeared spontaneously while driving. The lights would turn off if the car was turned off for a long period of time or is we disconnected battery for a long period of time. We have tried to research the problem and no one seems to know what the cause or permanent fix is.

Jun 10, 2025

My locks failed and it took several repairs and they are still not working properly. I fear for my safety and the safety of my children. Honda told me sometimes locks just don’t work but that’s not appropriate to me as I paid the extended electric warranty but they cannot fix them. No knowing this will not go all through the life of my vehicle is a big issue.

The contact's wife owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at various speeds, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the warning lights were illuminated constantly. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel system was contaminated with water. The contact stated that the dealer replaced the spark plugs and flushed the fuel system; however, the failure recurred while driving. Additionally, the contact stated that the cruise control mode was no longer functional. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, where the contact was informed that further diagnostic testing was needed to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, but the contact had not received a call back. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

The collision mitigation braking system is engaging while I’m driving with no obstructions in front of me. The car slows down completely while I’m on the highway almost coming to a complete stop. This has happened numerous times since Dec 2024. I took it into Honda and they did absolutely nothing besides charge me over $500 for diagnostic fees and told me to get an oem battery and bring it back to be inspected again.

Warning lights come all across the dash stating to see the dealer. I have taken it to the dealership and the issue is the fuel injector that causes the warning lights to go off and on at random. I still have a warranty of my car and was told the warranty does not cover that part. This is happening to a lot of honda accords but there is no recall for it. There is a safety issue for driving because they stay on and then go off and come back on again. This is unfortunate and unacceptable from Honda as a whole. I bought the car in May 2024 and the warning lights came on a week later and have been ever since off and on.

Mar 22, 2025

I recently took my car to the dealer because I have multiple messages on my dashboard saying please see dealer dealing with my brake system, electric power steering, vehicle ability assist, collision mitigation system problem, etc the dealers don’t know what’s going on with it. I recently had service done on it because of the recall with the fuel pump and even before that those messages were showing up.

The components and systems that are failing and malfunctioning in my 2018 Honda Accord are the engine, head gasket, fuel, injectors and turbo. While in motion, the car jerks and has issues with acceleration requiring the safety hazard lights to be come on and I’m unable to keep up with marked speed limit while traveling due to the sluggishness of the vehicle. The majority of these issues have been confirmed by a Honda dealership as well as another car shop. There are several warning and safety hazard lights that come on and go off the dashboard. Many times, I have to pull on the side of the road due to not being able to drive this vehicle.

Mar 3, 2025

Rear camera is showing a blank screen. Gridlines are visible but that’s it. It’s hard to see to backup so I’m afraid of a collision. There are recalls on other Honda accords but my VIN has not been included for this repair. No other warning lights are on.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated the turn signal lights, the trunk, the Lane Departure, Forward Collision Avoidance, and the LKAS failed to be displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V771000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION, VISIBILITY/WIPER, VISIBILITY, EXTERIOR LIGHTING); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000.

Approx. one year ago, my 2018 Honda Accord LX completely shut down while traveling at 35 mph. The engine light was flashing and I lost all power with only enough to pull over safely on the side of the road, I was terrified and called AAA who came and towed it to a local mechanic. At the time I was unaware of the recall. My mechanic did diagnostic test and found nothing. He explained the car went into "limp mode", indicating there was something wrong. The car started fine and I took it to our local Honda dealer for service. They had the car for 3 days, finding no issues, but explained it could be related to the recall. I was told the parts for the recall were unavailable and I would be notified when they came in. This week it happened again! I just contacted the dealer for status on the parts and was told I am 160 on a waiting list for the recalled parts and that they were sporadically coming in. I am afraid to drive the car, uncertain if this will happen again at a high rate of speed. I am a retired senior with limited income and need this resolved ASAP. Thank you for your attention to this matter. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My car is having the same issue as the new recall on the 2023-2025 Honda Pilot sport utility vehicles (SUVs), 2022-2025 Acura MDX Type-S SUVs and 2021-2025 with the power loss and my car is stalling. Sometimes when I turn my car on, put it in drive, impress my gas pedal it will not go. I have to cut my car off, wait for about 30 seconds, restart it and then it will go.I took my car to Honda in Tifton Ga and I was told that it was my fuel injector. I was given code P0301 from Langdale Honda in Valdosta ga. I was quoted $1600 to fix this issue which I do not have. I’m currently having this issue and I’m sure it’s many others.

Intermittently flash warning lights on panel- all warnings at once. The vehicle maintenance log does not indicate the issues showing on the panel are relevant. It comes and goes, sometimes for weeks. Dealership has been unable to diagnose issue and the recall for similar issue - which has happened on other 2018 Honda accords, not showing as related to my VIN# despite being the same problem as the recall notice.

Dec 16, 2024

honda has yet to fix the fuel pump issue after issuing recall on the fuel pump over a year ago. I've been by the Honda dealership numerous times trying to get this recall fixed. Now i am having many issues with my car and i can't even drive it at this point. The Honda dealership told me that I have a cracked head which has caused may other issues. There is known issues with the 2018 Honda accord 1.5t that Honda has to even acknowledge. There wasn't an accident thankfully quick thinking on my behalf. There are many issues that Honda had refused to acknowledge and as single woman living off one check and still paying for my car, recently fired because it's now hard for me to get to work because i do not make enough to uber to work and pay my monthly bill it's caused me many issues and lots of out-of-pocket expenses. Now as I am trying to find a remote job that i don't have to drive into I am desperately trying to not lose my house which is almost out of my control and will be homeless because of this known issue that Honda has known about and has yet to do anything about. i have loved my car and to the point I was thinking about trading in and getting a brand new one and would have been Honda fan the rest of my life this has ultimately ruined my life, and I am hating this decision to buy one from the get-go. This should be illegal, and Honda should be held responsible for fixing this issue which has cost me almost my whole life. The fuel pump has failed which either indirectly or directly has affected the head gasket, and every light is lite up on my dashboard and goes into limp mode when trying to go. the warnings that are up are the emissions, the electrical warning has been on for years and no could or can find out why. I've taken it into the Honda dealership & other repair shops trying to get this fixed, but no one can figure it out. I can accelerate to get up to speed and it tells me to not brake hard, on top of the other warnings this has caused to come

Unknown Vehicle continues to display all warning lights on continuous jumping when driving. It took over seven months to obtain parts and took 26 hours to complete service leaving me without a vehicle. The damage received on the vehicle while waiting on parts caused more problems. Replacing the part after seven months of driving has caused my vehicle to deteriorate beyond repair in my opinion. I am requesting compensation or the ability to have a full inspection beyond the initial recalled parts in order to confirm that my vehicle is in proper working condition.

My vehicle will randomly lose power while driving, lights will flash and then car will just stop and turn off. Try to turn car back on and all these lights are flashing and engine light stays on with codes. Taken my car to performance Honda MULTIPLE of times, paid to get it towed, Honda continues to say they don’t know what’s wrong with it. I’ve recorded videos of my car losing power and given them to Honda and they still couldn’t provide any answers after having my vehicle for 6 months on and off. My car continued to do the same thing all over again after Honda ended up putting used spark plugs in my car and I returned my car to Honda again. They replaced fuel pump and I made it 30 minutes home and my car broke down in the middle of an intersection on the highway again and all my fuel was all over the road. Honda came and got my car again. Car is not even reliable to have my kids in. This has been the worst vehicle I’ve ever owned and no dealer will even let me trade the car in because of all the recalls this model has had and how many customers have complained. I’m at a total loss and now a loss of a vehicle I have to pay on and can get rid of it for something safe to have my kids in. I’ve only had this car for 3 years and the last two years have had the same continuous problems with no explanation. Honda just clears the codes and gives the car back every time they have it. I’ve had to call 911 to have cops come and block my vehicle on the highway because it’s broken down with me and my kids in the car and my car wouldn’t start so I could move it. Honda knows about the continuous problems and has record of having none stop. No lights or anything on prior to car just losing power and turning off or not going over 20 mph and going into limp mode.

Hi, I would like to address two issues separately for my 2018 Honda Accord 1.5T 6MT; one dealing with the open recall and one dealing with how the vehicle operates dangerously due to poor programming under specific operating conditions. To add, I speak as an engineer working in the automotive space specifically on the design of ADAS and AV systems with ISO26262 and SOTIF in mind. 1) There is an open recall for my vehicle for a fuel pump issue. I am experiencing some of the symptoms of this issue, specifically, my car will hesitate at around 4000 RPMs during acceleration. I immediately back off the accelerator and then the check engine light flashes and I lose all engine power. I then restart my vehicle and it operates more or less normally with the occasional illumination of all the dash lights. I have taken my car to the dealership expressing my concerns (Braman Honda of Palm Beach in particular) and they said they cannot do anything about it unless since there are no parts. I have paid for them to diagnose the issue but since they cannot recreate the issue (as it is intermittent) they cannot do anything. Question: what is the point of a recall if a vehicle experiencing the symptoms that lead to the recall cannot be repaired due to "part shortages"? 2) I want to talk specifically of the vehicle programming to cut engine power off. I think I have a separate electrical issue that causes all the lights on the dashboard to go off and again cut engine power. I understand that engineers may want to design their vehicles to cut power off when there is a potential mechanical failure, but in this case the issue is purely electrical. The fact that I can restart my car and accelerate normally shows that the issue is not mechanical. I believe this programming needs to be addressed. To be frank, losing engine power while driving on the highway may lead to catastrophic consequences. I feel that my vehicle is unsafe to drive since it has happened to me multiple times already.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated before accelerating. The accelerator pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 25-30 MPH. The failure had become more frequent and the brake system, Brake Hold System Failure – See Dealer, electronic power system, power system refused, Adaptative Control System – See Dealer, vehicle stability, Reduced Traction, Handling and Hill Assis, and vehicle may roll messages were displayed. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The dealer informed the contact about diagnostic testing. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. During normal driving - clear weather conditions - the car will suddenly activate the forward collision braking. It will literally slam on the brakes and decrease the speed by 10-15 MPH. This happened as I was going down the drive of our neighborhood, I was at 45 MPH with no one in front of me or behind me (thankfully) and the car applied the brakes and activated the front collision warning. There is also an intermittent issue with my seatbelt. Specifically the drivers seat belt. I was witness to someone driving my car - he buckled his seat belt and it unlatched. He then buckled it again thinking he didn’t do it right - but it wouldn’t latch. This has happened to me before as well - but usually after the third try of buckling the seat belt it will work and so I thought nothing of it. Additionally, the windshield wipers do not go back to their original position after being in use.

two weeks after I purchased this vehicle the electrical system failed causing the car to drive in the ditch, Land Rover of mount Kisco, ny sold me the vehicle, after multiple attempts to find out what was going on with it, it was found that someone had rigged the electrical wiring harness and wrapped it with electrical tape and taped it down causing the electrical system to malfunction, after that was repaired in august 2023 the car veered off the road again this time hitting a speed limit sign the damage was on the side of the vehicle but the vehicle would not move at all and all the lights were on again, the police stated where the damage is on the car it should not had caused the car to do what it was doing after I explained I was just driving along and the vehicle just went its own way, I told the insurance company about the previous issues, they repaired the car and that's it, I got the car back 24 hrs later all the lights came back on the dashboard, they still could not figure it out this was in September of 23, by December 23 the lights came back on the Honda dealership said it was the fuel pump this was because the lights came back on and the car stalled on the interstate almost causing a collision so I had to have it towed to the dealership, I paid $1300 only to find out Honda had a recall the dealership said it was the same part number and advised me to contact Honda for a reimbursement in which Honda has refused to reimburse me after to attempts, as I looked at the recalls on this car this car has had two different recalls on the fuel pump for this vehicle, that was repaired drove the car for 4 weeks the lights came on the dashboard again, I took it back to the dealership they said its the turbo booster, I am convinced the dealership who sold me this vehicle knew this vehicle was not in any condition to be on the road with a family in it, I have asked Honda to buy the car back they have refused, this car cannot be repaired.

Bought the vehicle in 2022 with 90k miles on it. Started experience engine issues shortly after. Engine light and ALL the dash lights came on. Changed spark plugs 4x and coils replaced fuel injectors over the years. Still the lights and engine light comes on. Turns out I have a blown head gasket at just 130k miles. Did routine maintenance on it and changed water pump . I’ve never had this many issues with a car and I’m quiete upset. The years of head ache is never ending.

All warning lights came on (check engine, emissions problem, brake problem, tire pressure monitoring system problem, cruise control problem, brake problem, steering wheel problem, and lane keeping assist problem). In addition, sometimes the vehicle will vibrate or shake when first turned on and at times, when braking, the car will shake or vibrate.

On February 16th, I visited Walsh Honda in Macon, Georgia, reporting issues with my fuel and car not pulling and acting irregularly. Suspecting bad fuel, I was informed of a safety recall for the fuel pump, which was likely the problem. However, they changed the spark plug instead, charged me for it, and did not address the recall, which has been in place since 2023. They also noted a P303 misfire. The following day, February 17th, I returned for a 100,000-mile check. I spent over $600 on services, including replacing the belt alternator, flushing and draining the coolant, and turning the rotors. On March 18, 2024, the same P303 misfire code appeared. This time Walsh Honda claimed the engine cylinder was cracked and scarred, suggesting a $7,000 engine replacement, despite the fuel pump recall. They insisted on the engine repair instead of addressing the fuel pump recall. In April, I was involved in a rear-end collision and, as a had my car at Five Star Collision in Warner Robins for two months. I got the car back on May 31st, but it continued to act erratically, running hot and not pulling properly. In July 2024, I took the car to Hughes Honda in Warner Robins, Georgia who refused to fix the fuel pump despite the recall, I was told that, that is not the code for a new engine pump. That I would need to pay $6000 for the codes that was put in initially by Walsh in Macon, Ga. citing the need for head gaskets and injectors. They demanded this repair before addressing the fuel pump recall. This pattern of ignoring the fuel pump recall and pushing expensive repairs is troubling and seems to prioritize profit over safety. This is how the common man and woman get screwed by doing the right thing. Being that I am 100% Disabled Veteran I am very disappointed with treatment I received from both Honda dealerships. I wish for not another veteran, man or woman go through the disrespect I received.

Dashboard lights: emissions systems problem, road departure mitigation system problem, collision mitigation bar along system problem, ACC system problem, hill start assist problem, vehicle stability assist system problem, electric power steering system problem, brake hold system problem, brake system problem, tire pressure system problem- every single warning and light turn on when weather is less than ideal (high humidity, cold temp, etc.). When taken to dealership they simply reset the system and all lights go away, but they always come back. Bought car in 2018, always been a problem, regardless of new battery. I take my car in for regular maintenance.

Vehicle stalls upon start on multiple occasions. Vehicle will not start at all on multiple occasions. On approximately February 2024 vehicle sent a warning signal while driving. Warning states vehicle cannot accelerate while driving on the highway, then vehicle slows under traffic speed causing fear of crash while on the highway causing me to pull over and restart vehicle. After restart, vehicle stalled again. Children were present in the vehicle. Called dealer to inform about the issue and was made aware of recall on fuel pump. Dealer does not have parts and will not have parts for recall for months. Called dealers near me periodically over the course of months. All local dealers reported parts will not be available for ongoing months.

While riding down the interstate the automatic braking system slammed on the brakes. There was a semi truck in the lane beside me and for some reason it just applied the brakes and flashed the automatic brake warning sign while using the cruise control. I quickly hit the cancel button on the steering wheel to stop the braking. My lane was completely clear when this occurred. This is not the first time that this has happened. The last time this happened there was no one close to me and the same thing happened.

I’ve owned this car for almost 6 years now and one day out of nowhere all warning lights on this car came on and the car can barely drive up to 10 MPH. The car won’t go past 10 MPH. Engine light, cruise control and every single warning light were showing on the dashboard. I ended up paying huge amount to get it fix and on top of that I was not able to go to work.

I purchased the vehicle 1/21. I only took my car to Midland Honda to do all repairs. The last repair I paid them for was a tuneup June 2023. I paid them $1082.90 for the service. October 2023 my car started to do the same thing it did back in June for the tune up. So this time I took the car to AutoZone because the check engine light came on. It showed that it was a misfire. They said the car should not be doing that and that I needed to return it back to the dealership which idea they did a check on the car I was being told it was a fuel pump issue. I asked them if there would’ve been any notification prior because based on all of the oil changes and anything maintenance that I had them to do they never inform me of anything of a repair that would’ve required that , I did some research and so that’s some family members male family members, and they inform me that there was a recall for the fuel system None of my documentation from Honda said anything about any other major issue and that I would not be having any problems they also inform me that the price for the fuel filter would be $1700 to have it replaced. I then took the car for another appointment at another Honda dealership in my area, they perform the same check. They’re all ASE certified mechanics assuming they all use the same diagnostic device. The other dealership never said anything to me about the fuel system. They only inform me of the antilock brake system, which was puzzling to me because Advance had already told me, it was a misfire for the spark plugs we looked at the spark plugs, the spark plugs from what they said does not look like what a spark plug should look like that has been putting in a calm that was just replaced in June , I contacted the Honda Dealership manufacturing company back in December and was told then that there was a recall for the fuel system. I’m not sure what the issue is because last not last month March I took the car to another Honda and was told it was a blown Head gas

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the ongoing electrical issues plaguing my 2018 Honda Accord, VIN: [XXX] ]. Since the initial purchase of the vehicle, I have experienced recurring problems with dashboard lights illuminating unexpectedly, indicating underlying electrical malfunctions. In an attempt to rectify these issues, I have diligently brought the vehicle to authorized Honda service centers on multiple occasions. Despite their efforts, including the replacement of the electrical wiring harness in 2023, the problem persists unabated. Despite extensive diagnostics and repair attempts, the root cause of the issue remains unresolved, leading to significant inconvenience and frustration. Moreover, during one service visit, Honda service personnel erroneously diagnosed a faulty gas pump, resulting in an unnecessary replacement at my expense totaling $1375.00. It is pertinent to note that Honda was already aware of a recall affecting my vehicle, yet failed to rectify the issue under the recall and instead charged me for the repair. Subsequent attempts to seek full reimbursement for this unjust expense were rebuffed by Honda corporate, citing the partial financing of the repairs as a justification for their refusal. To compound matters, on Saturday, [XXX], I once again encountered a recurrence of the dashboard lights issue, signaling a persistent and unresolved defect within the vehicle's electrical system. This ongoing issue has severely compromised the safety, reliability, and enjoyment of my vehicle ownership experience. I am at a loss for further recourse and demand immediate action to address and rectify these persistent electrical issues with my 2018 Honda Accord. I expect Honda to honor its commitment to customer satisfaction and take decisive steps to remedy this situation promptly and comprehensively. Forward Collision Warning feature On 02/16/24 I was traveling east on I-630 at about 60 mph. While driving at that speed I saw a foreign object in my lane but I could not swerve in neither right or left lane as there were vehicles traveling in both lanes when my car hit the foreign object the object became lodged under the car dragging it at least 20 to 30 feet the car lost power myself and passenger had to push car out of road to shoulder to keep from getting killed as it had lost power and would not start. The Forward Collision Warning feature did not alert me of the object nor of the vehicle’s traveling ahead of me nor vehicles traveling in left and right lanes along side of me that I attempted to avoid hitting. I had previously filed a complaint about the warning lights and malfunctioning features on the car to dealership on 2019 2020 and 2021 I was told it could be a series of reasons why the warning lights are all on and the car features shut down even the car losing its power I was never able to get my car on the recall list for this I filed a complaint with Honda Manufacturer 2022 and was told that someone would be in touch but no one ever called I took the car back to dealership tech stated that the cracked windshield maybe the cause of the warning lights coming on so I got windshield , spark plugs, battery twice, replaced all for tires twice kept scheduled services up to par warning lights still on in-car still losing power in the middle of traffic on 01/20/24 I tried getting appt for fuel pump recall dealerships states they donot have the inventory to replace fuel pump I was told when Honda manufacturer contact dealerships giving the go ahead to repair I will l be contacted fast forward to 02/16/24 this is the result of none of features functioning especially the Forward Collision Warning feature my car now is at a loss of use it does not start the oil panel was damaged the radiator was crushed the sensor dislodged and body was damage to vehicle

The vehicle has been giving a check engine light and a litany of other warning lights including: electric power steering system problem, brake system problem, forward collision mitigation braking system problem, tire pressure monitoring system problem, adaptive cruise control system problem, traction control system problem. This issue happened intermittently at first including the warning lights, then constantly beginning about 3 weeks ago. The check engine light produced a P0304 code indicating a misfire on cylinder 4. The vehicle on cold start would idle rough indicating the misfire and idle at a higher RPM than normal. The vehicle would return to idling normally after approximately 15 minutes of warming up however all the lights would stay on. The vehicle felt like it was down on power, was running rough, and could go into limp mode at any time while the issue was present and significantly reduced the driveability and all of these other warning lights were on indicating potential problems with those systems. I had the vehicle inspected by a Honda dealership and two different master technicians have diagnosed it as a fuel injector issue, although they thought it could have been a head gasket issue as well and in fact have not ruled that out entirely at this point. This is a known issue with this vehicle shown by AHM putting out a request for parts from 2018-2019 1.5 Liter engine Accords affected by a P030X (Cylinder 1,2,3, or 4 misfire) code back in April.

Began getting several alerts, when taken in to get a diagnosis I received the following error codes P0301, P0304, P0301, P0300, U0401-68 & U3003-16. These codes stated that I had Cylinder 1 Misfire, Cylinder 4 Misfire as well as Random Misfire and ECM Failure and Electric Parking Brake Control Unit Power Source Circuit Low Voltage. The misfires were taken care of with new ignition coils and spark plugs; however, 2 days later alerts came back on at that point replaced battery. A few days after that the alerts again came back on. The dealership has not helped me out much simply saying I am no longer under warranty. However, I feel this vehicle is unsafe to drive as sometimes it feels as if it is just going to shut off. Therefore, this can possibly cause an accident injuring either. Others or myself.

The infotainment unit on the 2018 Honda Accord does not properly sync up with a music player on the phone over Bluetooth. This is manifested by the incorrect display of the time the music track that has been played. This happens periodically. At other times, the music player on the infotainment unit does not respond to the tracks been switched from the controls on the steering wheel or the touch screen. A video of the behavior is available. Additionally, he infotainment unit does not display the album art for the music which is being played. This feature used to work, until the phone update. Which indicates that the infotainment unit does not properly work with newer Bluetooth protocols. Upon an attempt to troubleshoot the issue, based on the information here: [XXX] [XXX] I was able to restore only the track information being displayed, but not the album art. This is troubling as this would indicated that Honda has built in infotainment units without a seeming path to upgrade them during the life of the vehicle. Honda has been unwilling to properly address the issue via a recall or a software update. Their typical response (to just about every issue) is to take it to the dealer, who is not able to properly troubleshoot and address issues which were caused by the Honda's failures in software (and hardware) development. A video of the issue is available (Honda dealer and Honda pretty much refuse to take the videos as an evidence of the issue). Nov 2, 2023

Starting in Sept 2023, while pulling out of a park in a garage, my car started throwing numerous warning messages in the dashboard regarding emissions, ABS, Brake System, Power Steering, etc with the Check Engine Light staying steady. I took it to one Honda dealership who after 'diagnosing' claimed it was the fuel injectors needing to be replaced. The car wasn't jerking or sputtering so I took the car to another mechanic who also didn't believe it was the fuel injectors and felt it was electrical. Took the car to another Honda dealership and they claimed the same thing about injectors. After having a reputable mechanic do software updates that the original or 2nd Honda dealership NEVER checked for (it needed 4 updates, but one of them couldn't be done for LKAS). Most of the warnings went away due to the updates but the LKAS warning and collision warning remained. So I took the car to Safelite (they had replaced my windshield back in July and back then they were able to recalibrate the sensor) BUT this time (Oct 2023) not only were they not able to recalibrate the LKAS, they said the front camera was not communicating with the system and this was an electrical problem and I have to go back to the dealership. After reading NUMEROUS complaints and similar issues in regards to the LKAS, this multiple warnings AND the car ghost braking on its own every now and then months before this, I hope you all really look into this and do a recall or find a solution on this car. Now I am forced to go back to the Honda dealership and will have to threaten them to do their job this time and really look at the car and not just tell me it is needing fuel injectors replaced. The car drives, no jerking, no sputtering, but not having a front camera talking to the system and now the TPMS system keeps saying i have low tire pressure and won't let me calibrate even though my tires are at the optimal 32 level stated in the manual, I fear more issues are going to pop up soon.

In the multimple other complaints filed (regarding the Collision Mitigation System, Infotainment, etc.) it become obvious that Honda has really screwed up the firmware/software and how it interacts with the sensors/systems and the user on this vehicle. The issue, this time, was the common occurrence of the battery dying. HOWEVER, instead of simply putting up a message that says "Hello, your battery is in an untennable state", someone thought it would be a good idea to flush EVERY warning possible, as in "Anti-Lock Brake System Problem...", "Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem...", etc. And, of course, it would demand that you "take it to the dealer." Upon replacing the battery the issues went away, for a few days. Then, another set of warnings - this time, something to do with the "Emission System". Upon taking it to a non-Honda reputable mechanic (so, a third party without a conflict of interest), they reset the codes and then things seemed to settle down. Good to know - another thing that just "happens with these" when it comes to the Accords of the 2018+ model year.

The vehicle keeps stating the brake mitigation, acc, and other various Honda sensor features need to be repaired and to contact a dealer. The vehicle de-accelerates on its home and doesn’t allow any of the Honda sense features to work. All the components of the dash are triggered at once. Most of the time the vehicle drives fine without the use of the Honda sense features. I have brought this to Honda and they state they don’t see any issues known to cause this problem. Short of the fact they never seem to happen when I bring it to the dealership. Most of the time this goes away on its own but lately the problems are lasting days. I don’t feel safe driving my own vehicle which has been greatly maintained.

1. The Collision Mitigation Breaking System is braking for no reason, at random times while driving 2. My safety and the safety of others is put at risk because when driving on an open road, cars behind me may not have time to break and this could result in an accident. Not to mention, there's nothing in front of my vehicle, so normal things on the road don't cause drivers to assume a car with suddenly brake 3. Yes, the issues been confirmed but I'm expected to pay for it when this has been recalled on several other models 4. This has been happening for the last several months. I put a note in my car to turn off the sensor but as of today, my vehicle will not let me turn off the sensor anymore

Out of the blue car was having a glitch on the screen when turning on the vechical. The battery died and was replaced. Once battery was replaced engine light and brake like will turn on and off. After battery was replaced the engine light turned on and started to read that ignition and sparks plugs are bad. I have spoke to about 50 people with the same car and they are having the same issues and the mechanics do not know what is wrong

Door locks malfunctioning intermittently across multiple doors. Locks cannot be toggled by master control or fob. Passenger in seat of defective lock could be trapped in vehicle in emergency if unable to manually toggle door lock. I have fixed one lock only for the issue to present itself on another door lock immediately after repair.

Vehicle suddenly shut down in traffic second time in a row within 4 days after it was supposedly repair by Honda dealer the first time. It was again my luck that the car engine shut down, suddenly stopped on a road, not on a highway which could result in serious injury to death as sudden stop would cause newsworthy bad crash to my vehicle from oncoming high speed traffic that follows my vehicle. Problem was traced to the latent defective wire harness bundle that runs from the front to the rear of the vehicle throughout the floor board. I believe normal vehicle road vibration during my four years of driving in the high traffic Los Angeles region (a measly 27,700 miles) introduced flexing to the wire harness at certain portion of the latent defective wire harness bundle. The latent defect in the wire harness bundle surfaced its ugly head finally since I own the car new in March, 2019. A segment of the spider wire harness bundle that has the latent intermittent defect disconnected internally to cause the control signal to the fuel pump assembly to stop fuel pump to the engine. Consequently, the vehicle engine shut down, stopped suddenly in traffic again the second time due to lack of fuel. The large spider wire harness bundle was replaced on May 9, 2023. The vehicle is operating properly so far. Clearly this is not a wear and tear issue. It is a latent defective wire harness bundle supplied to Honda by the Honda subcontractors who fabricated the wire harness bundle for the factory build for this 2018 Honda Accord model lot. I like to strongly urge NHTSA to engage Honda to make plans to investigate this lot of wire harness supplied to it now that my vehicle defective wire harness bundle is sent back to the Honda warranty department.

I down loaded my update through the radio. It said complete. I went into the house and the next morning I started it and a bunch of warning lights were on and have stayed on. I can not use some of the buttons on the drivers door, I can not use my key fob unless it is touching the start stop button, I can not open the trunk, the gas cap will not open, and most of all I have lost some power to the interior fuse box. This car is only 5 years old almost to the date and it has had multiple recalls already. I want the BCM reprogrammed and fixed so all this will go away.

Door locks don’t work with fob intermittently. Often times, failure door can only be locked/unlocked manually by toggled physical mechanism, or by use of key, never buttons or fob. Passenger using said door would have difficulty opening door in the event of emergency, or at least delayed in doing so trying to find the toggle. Issue has not be replicated by either dealer or other professional. Issue has been ongoing for 6 months, but recently one of the door has failed completely so I will be going back to dealer tomorrow. There are no warning indicators to suggest a certain issue.

The infotainment unit on the 2018 Honda Accord does not properly sync up with a music player (such as any given phone) over Bluetooth. This is manifested by the incorrect display of the time the music track that has been played. Honda has been unwilling to properly address the issue via a recall or a software update. Their typical response (to just about every issue) is to take it to the dealer, who is not able to properly troubleshoot and address issues which were caused by the Honda's failures in software (and hardware) development. Ad video of the issue is available (Honda dealer and Honda pretty much refuse to take the videos as an evidence of the issue).

My 2018 Honda Accord Ex-L 91,560 miles has an issue with the fuel pump/injectors while driving on the roadway and/or highway. My vehicle will come to a mid stop abruptly because it is not getting enough power to the engine from the fuel pump. This has caused safety issue to myself, passengers in my vehicle, pedestrians and and other drivers while operating my vehicle. Honda has been made aware of this issue and has over 650,000 vehicles manufactured between 2018-2020 with the same reported issue and has previously issued a recall for only certain 2018-2020 vehicles. Furthermore, Honda refuses to repair my 2018 vehicle under the recall for the same issue based on my VIN#. I have notified Honda of the inherent danger to myself and others and they have ignored the safety hazard and refuse to repair the fuel pump which typically has a life span of 250,000 miles or more.

After getting my car service the service dept. said my brake were ok, two months later my rear driver side brake pads were worn to the metal and my brake caliper needs to be replace along with that brake rotor, I complained I was just in here two months ago and you said they were ok and I asked why just one brake pad wore out they had no answer , I asked will my extended warranty will cover it and they said it would not be covered because it's normal wear and tear. also, all my Warning lights, will come on every once in a while, but by the time i go to the dealer they would cut off so now i just wait to the next day and turn the car off and on until the light go off, when i tell the dealer and show pictures of all the warning lights they say they cannot do anything until they see it themselves.

The sensor is located under the license plate, and because of it being so low, anything that hits it on the road, such as a rock or insects, the sensor gets triggered. There’s no protective cap on it. And every single light turns on the dash. Such as the collision, lane departure, brake system and cruise control.

Oct 11, 2022

While driving the vehicle loses power in traffic or on highway. The brakes won’t stop and the gas won’t accelerate. It’s like the car dies the light all come on reading warnings Break mitigation system, Break ABS loss of engine power. I have had this looked at by the dealership and they just replaced the battery and the problem keeps occurring. I’m scared as I travel with small children. I hope this matter is looked into because it cause myself and other having the same issue a serious accident.

While driving using ACC, the warning message “Crash mitigation not working” comes on out of nowhere and the cruise control stops working. This has happened multiple times. Also, About a month ago, my whole left side of the dash completely stopped working. CAM DTC are the error codes and cruise control and necessary functions just stopped working all together. It feels very unsafe and unreliable.

Climate controls and dual climate control worked fine 1 week ago. However, as of yesterday (September 17, 2022), not only is the dual climate control not working, but I am NOT able to get heat from any vents after raising the temperature to 80°F. Currently the passenger's side vents blow cold air conditioned air, while driver's side doesn't. Moreover, air from driver's side vents feel tepid cool regardless of temperature setting. Winter is approaching, heat in the car will be needed to defrost windows.

I have had this vehicle since June 2018 and I have not had any issues until the last month or so. The first incident happened while driving to work and it was raining, when I turned into the parking lot a number of warnings started going off : Electric Parking Brake System Problem, Brake System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Electric Power Steering System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem. Parked my car, went in my office and called the dealership. They told me it was most likely because of the rain and that the issue should resolve on it's own. By lunch time it had stopped raining, went to get lunch and the warnings were gone, but now when accelerating I would lose power. So I go the the dealership, they check to see what the issue is and they can't find anything. Told me to come back if it does it again. Few weeks later, driving down the interstate going 75 and I start losing speed for no reason and car almost crashes into me due to the dramatic decrease in speed and once again all the warnings are back on - but it's not raining this time! Honda can't find any issues and I'm so frustrated because it's a danger to me!

All warning lights of my Honda accord turned on/off 4 months ago. The dealership inspected my car and told me that problem is the fuel injectors and he cleaned them but they might need replacement if the problem comes back. After one day the engine light turned on and sometimes all the warning lights which caused disabling the ADAS function. I took my Honda to the dealer again and said the fuel injectors have a problem, they need replacement. The dealer stated that it is not covered by the powertrain warranty. He quoted me $1767.00 which I cannot afford, I did my search online there are many Honda accord 2018 that reported the same problem so I believe it is a defective part from the manufacture

On 6/6/22 the car had multiple Alarms came on the dashboard (break sys prob, emission prob, road dept mit, collision mit, break sys prot, aac sys prob, hill start asst prob, break performance prob). I called Honda Valley Stream informing them of the above. Got appt 6/8 I was told I would need to leave the car on 6/8 appt. On 6/8 approx 4pm rec a call from them to come get the car. Alarms only needed to be reset and rear camera recall was done. Next day all the alarms plus a few other returned. I went back and forth with Manger. I left the car Sat 6/11.Told it was injection fluid that's covered under warranty. Then later the manager called that it was CO2 built up and $413 to clean and take care of the problem. I paid for it and picked up the car. 6/15 during the day I noticed a problem with the steering and that car kept moving into the other lane , this got worst if I had to use the break. Later that night an alarm for Supplemental Restraint System. Ive notified Honda of Valley Stream of this new issue. Awaiting a resolution.

Started car up on morning all lights on dash board came on, took it had it checked by three different car shops, they said the car was showing three misfire codes, had spark plugs put in the car, two weeks later started car let warm left home to go to drop kids off to school and go to work, car started stalling in the middle of traffic I made it to the side of the road my husband who is also a mechanic told me to cut it of for 5 mins, I did so and the car ran find for the rest of the day, next morning same thing happen again me and my husband took it to the Honda dealership, we were told that a recall was in affect for the car by one lady, then another lady said it wasn't on my car it was Accords with 2.0 engine, my husband then started calling around pricing fuel pumps $1300 for a new pump and then come to find out that the 1.5 and the 2.0 engine use the exact same pump, if the pump was recalled for the 2.0 why not the 1.5 that has the same exact pump, the dealership did the recall service that was on my car some kind of software update, next day tried to start my car it did nothing but turn over and would not start after second try it started and all the lights were on in my dash board again, my husband started a google search on my car and found that their are a lot of complaints on this mode all on the same problems I'm having with mind, and a lot of complaints about the transmission in these cars as well, me and my kids could have been hit from the back by another car when the car stalled out, and when all my lights come on in the dash the cars anti crash system along with a lot of other things do work as they should.

1-When I would hit the remote to unlock the doors it would make a weird noise. 2-After a few days I started hearing the noises in the gas cap area and in the gearshift when I put the car in gear. 3-Shortly after that, all of the warning indicators on the dashboard began to come on at the same time-3a- Brake Performance may be reduced, then the automatic emergency brake came on when there was nothing in front of me getting off on an exit ramp; 3b- Brake System-Electric Parking Brake Problem-3c- Vehicle stability 3d-Safety support system; 3e-ABS Anti-lock brake system; 3f-Systems Initiating message while in driving and in park; 3g Failure to disengage the parking brake. All of the above issues have the ability to put mine and others at risks of injury or worse if not properly addressed! Thankfully, there were no injuries or accidents. I took it to the Honda Dealership and left it, The tech called and told me that I had a problem with the fuel induction and I needed battery, which does not address any of the issues- so I feel like no one is taking these issues serious which is a problem. I am sure there are some details that I have forgotten, I will resubmit if that is the case. Please do something to address these issues. This vehicle is only 3 years old and should not have these major issues. With so many complaints of the same issues with the same model and year, I am appalled that NTHSA NOR HONDA is taking this seriously enough to issue a recalls or open an investigation. It seems that our safety and the safety of others is of no consequence to you all! PLEASE ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY!!!

The door locks on my vehicle don't always work as they should. Often times only one or two of the doors lock and unlock, and it is not always the same two doors. I was told that the BCM recall would likely fix the problem when I took in for recall about a year or so ago. During my most recent trip on January 14, 2022, I was told that the problem is my actuators. After a quick inquiry I found that Honda has experienced this issue with this model before as well as other models. I wasn't aware that the locks weren't engaging for quite some time which meant that I was driving with unlocked car doors. There were no indicators that the doors were unlocked.

Dec 31, 2021

All warning indicator lights came on and I took car to a Certified Auto Mechanic who said it was caused by the fuel pump problems surrounding Honda cars. Said it affected the fuel injectors (mis-fire) and I should take it to Honda dealer for fix. Honda dealer said this VIN of my 2018 Honda is not on the recall. I asked about being covered by the 5 year power train warranty and was told that this did not fall under that warranty. The auto mechanic said he would have to charge around $2000 to replace the fuel injector (1), but the others would probably go bad unless everything (Pump and injectors) were replaced. There over 500 complaints with NHTSA on this year model and over 200 of those are similar problems that match prior recalls for same model and year but different vin numbers. The reports from Honda to NHTSA regarding selected "recall" units does not prevent other problems identified due to Indian defective parts surrounding the fuel pump problems. If I read all the details correctly only hundreds of just 10,000 recalls have been completed. Why would Honda/NHTSA not want to include the few other hundred that may be present to prevent accidents and uphold the Honda reputation of quality?

So far I've had to replace 2 door lock actuators on my car since I purchased it brand new in 2018. Last year the first one to stop working was in the driver door. I figured this made sense because I am usually riding alone so this door gets more of a work out. But last month the passenger rear door lock stopped working as well. I purchased the extended warranty so both of the locks were fixed after a $100 deductible for each occurrence. This morning I notice my driver side rear door would not unlock. I figured I can't be the only person experiencing this issue.

Starter Problems. Car was slow to crank/start. Thought it was the battery. Had the battery and alternator checked and they are good. It was diagnosed as a bad starter. More than $1,000 to replace. In more than 40 years of driving, I’ve never had to replace a starter. Especially in a 3 year old car. A quick check of the internet says this is a common problem, unique with series of Honda’s. This quick developing problem can leave you stranded. Bad design. Honda should cover their design flaws.

All indicators that came on at the same time on the dashboard. 1. Brake system indicator 2. Vehicle stability(vsa) 3. Safety support system 4. ABS Anti-lock brake system 5. System message 6. Locks locking and unlocking while the car was in motion 7. Failure to disengage the electronic parking brake 8. Car wouldn’t start at all While on the freeway locks started acting up locking and unlocking by themselves, got off the freeway and turn the car off to see if that would fix the issue. It didn’t fix the problem! Tried turning on the car and had a hard time starting the car than the parking brake didn’t disengage and all the warning lights listed above came on and the car had no power. Very dangerous I do not want to be statistic killed by my own car. If I take it to the dealer they will charge me a lot of money to diagnose and find nothing like always. I have no money to throw away like that. I have a family and I don’t want to die due to my car malfunctioning on the freeway or street loosing power like it did.very concerned at this point!

On 3 separate occasions my Honda Accord 1.5T has lost power while driving in traffic. All of the warning lights came on, and I could not go over 10 mph. Fortunately i was able to turn onto a side street each time. I turned off the the engine and after a few minutes restarted...only once was I able to regain power and drive home with normal power. My car went to the dealership each time, and they have told me they cannot duplicate the issue. And now the dealership has had my vehicle for almost 2 months. The service agent said he has never seen anything like it, and when I mentioned specific articles about the turbocharged 1.5 engine online, he discounted them saying, "anyone can write stuff on the internet". Honda dealership and Honda Corporate has no solutions, other than just live with it. A car slowing down in heavy traffic or on the expressway is a major accident waiting to happen, and Honda doesn't seem to care.

I noticed my reading lamps don't work and middle brake light stays on dim when these warning lightscome on.... and the car loses power on the road It will slow down like its braking and won't accelerate. if there is ever a tractor trailer behind me I'm afraid it will hit me... when shutting down the car and restart within 30-50miles warnings lights come back on..

2018 Honda Accord had been parked for less than an hour while shopping. On return, entered car, put foot on brake and pushed the start button, immediate back pressure on brake pedal, audio warning of electrical system failure, messages on dash of electrical brake system failure (reason for this report), etc. Car would not start. Called dealer and they said to bring it in, there was nothing they could advise over the phone. Had the car towed to the dealer. Once there, first thing I was asked was whether the person who towed the car had attempted to jump start it. He had not. Service person said problem source was probably the battery which they said was drained, claimed there were electrical systems in the car that could drain the battery when the car was off, something I had never heard of before and I am still skeptical about. Car remained at dealer for a day and a half running diagnostics, etc. and they could find nothing wrong, even the battery, once recharged, was deemed good. Wife is now worried about driving the car and what might happen if the brake system failed. After researching 2018 Honda Accord electrical system problems online, I no longer have confidence in the vehicle's safety/reliability. Too many reports with no problem source determination nor resolution which is the category I'm sure this one is going to be added to.

I left my purse in the car and went in to pick up puppy. The car doors had self locked with my purse and keys inside the car. I have reported to the dealership and Honda of America. No response from HOA. I am concerned that someone might have a child or dog in the car and thinking that they are just going in house for a minute would come back to the car and find the doors locked. My phone was also in the car. It took 45 minutes for me to find someone, use their phone to make a call, and have someone bring the spare key. That is a long time for a child or animal to be locked in a car.

I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH MY REAR BRAKES FOR A LONG TIME. I HAVE CHANGED MY REAR BRAKES TWICE SINCE I HAD THE CAR. TODAY ALL MY WARNING LIGHTS IN THE DASHBOARD TURNED ON AND WON'T TURN OFF. I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT'S GOING ON. ALSO THE REAR TAILLIGHTS HAD A BROKEN SEAL WHERE MOISTURE COLLECTS IN THE TAILLIGHTS. THE BRAKES IN THIS CAR WAS THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THE CAR VIBRATES WHILE BRAKING AND THERE IS A VIBRATION IN THE BRAKE PEDAL AS WELL DESPITE HAVING RECENTLY CHANGED THE BRAKES. THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE A NEW PROBLEM AND A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 62,000 MILES.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MILES/HOUR WHEN I BEGAN TO HEAR A HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE LEFT MOST AIR VENT. WITHIN SECONDS, A STRONG ELECTRICAL OR BURNING RUBBER SMELL BEGAN TO FILL THE CABIN. THE HISSING SOUND EVENTUALLY SUBSIDED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, WHITE SMOKE BEGAN TO COME THROUGH THE AIR VENTS. THE SMOKE LASTED FOR ABOUT 45-60 SECONDS. FIRST THING THE NEXT MORNING, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER TO HAVE THE ISSUE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. THEY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 4 WORKING DAYS BUT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, AND INSTRUCTED ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THEM IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. THEY DID SAY THAT THE CAR HAD A CODE FOR A "FAULT IN THE BLOWER MOTOR CIRCUIT", BUT SAID THAT THAT WAS PROBABLY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. AS OF MARCH 4TH 2021, THIS ISSUE HAS NOT REAPPEARED SINCE THE INITIAL OCCURRENCE.

THIS IS A LEASED 2018 HONDA ACCORD, THE VEHICLE HAS 8000 MILES ON IT. THE SAFETY PROBLEM ON THIS VEHICLE IS THAT THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM HAS SHORTED 5 BATTERIES AND HAS LEFT ME STRANDED IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS, LENDING TO UNSAFE CONDITIONS. THE HONDA DEALER HAS REPLACED 5 BATTERIES ON MY VEHICLE AND NOW MY CAR HAS BROKEN-DOWN AGAIN MAKING IT SIX SHORTED BATTERIES ON A VEHICLE THAT BARELY HAS 8K MILES. A FEW MONTHS AFTER BUYING THE 2018 ACCORD, HONDA HAD TO PUT A SOFTWARE UPDATE, WHICH THEY CLAIMED WAS GOING TO ADDRESS AND ISSUE WITH THE BACK-UP CAMERA (WHICH ALWAYS SEEMED TO WORK FINE, AT LEAST ON MY CAR). SHORTLY AFTER THE UPDATE, THE INFOTAINMENT UNIT HAD STARTED TO RANDOMLY (AND RATHER FREQUENTLY) RESET ITSELF EVERY FEW DAY. HONDA (AFTER SOME TRIPS TO THE DEALER AND SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO REACH OUT TO THE HONDA OF AMERICA HQ) HAD FAILED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE AND, EVENTUALLY, BEGRUDGINGLY HAD ADMITTED TO THE PROBLEM; HOWEVER, THEY HAD FAILED TO PRODUCE A FIX FOR MONTHS. MY VEHICLE STILL DOES NOT HAVE A FIX APPLIED AND KEEPS HAVING RESETS. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH A 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY (WHICH USES THE SAME SYSTEM), WHO FINALLY GAVE UP AND GOT RID OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE NUMBER OF RECALLS (AND, TO SOME EXTENT, VERY POOR HANDLING OF THE ISSUES BY HONDA DEALER(S) AND HONDA), BUT THEY HAD TO HAVE THEIR UNIT PHYSICALLY REPLACED. SUPPOSEDLY, THERE NOW A RECALL, BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (SURPRISE, NOT). AS IT STANDS, HONDA MAY HAVE USED A PIECE OF HW WHICH HAS A BUILT-IN FAILURE (THIS COULD BE MORE INSIDIOUS THAN JUST A SW FIX) AND IS REFUSING TO ADDRESS IT IN HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES. WHY CAN'T THIS BE DONE VIA A 'SIMPLE' SW UPDATE THE WAY 21ST CENTURY CAR-MAKERS DO? OR IS HONDA SIMPLY HIDING AN INEVITABLE FAILURE VIA SW UPDATE? ON THE NOTED DATE, THIS WAS YET ANOTHER RESET OF THE UNIT. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS ABOUT 27,500 MILES, BUT HAS EXHIBITED THIS BEHAVIOR FOR THOUSANDS OF MILES/OVER A YEAR.

THIS WORK WAS DONE AND COMPLETED ON JUNE 30TH, 2020. I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE ON JULY 1ST, 2020 FROM THE SERVICE CENTER. ON JULY 9TH, 2020 THE VEHICLE SHUTTERED AND STALLED IN A RESIDENTIAL PARKING LOT. SHE ALSO STATED THAT IF THE ISSUE TURNS OUT TO BE THE BATTERY, THAT VANDERGRIFF HONDA WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE SINCE THIS PURCHASE WAS WITHIN 30DAYS. THE NEXT CALL I RECEIVED I WAS INFORMED THAT ISSUE WAS NOT THE BATTERY, BUT RATHER A "GAS ISSUE". AT THAT MOMENT I INFORMED HER THAT THE RECALL REPAIR THAT WAS COMPLETED ON JUNE 30TH WAS THE "FUEL PUMP MOTOR". HERE IS A DESCRIPTION OF THE SAFETY ISSUES THIS CAR CONTINUES TO HAVE THAT THE MANUFACTURER AND TWO DEALERS WILL NOT FIX UNDER THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTEE BECAUSE THEY CLAIM THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE AND THERE ARE NO STORED ERROR CODES. THIS CAR HAS A LANE DEPARTURE MITIGATION (LDM) SYSTEM THAT HAS FALSELY ACTIVATED MANY TIMES WHILE THE CAR IS CENTERED ON THE DRIVING LANE. THE LDM ACTIVATES BY PROVIDING A WARNING ON THE DASHBOARD AND BY MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL QUICKLY TO THE LEFT AND TO THE RIGHT WHICH DISTRACTS THE DRIVER (A SAFETY ISSUE) AND ONCE CAUSED ME TO ALMOST STEER THE CAR INTO A SEMI ON MY RIGHT BY COMPENSATING FOR THE LEFT STEERING WHEEL MOVEMENT. THIS CAR ALSO HAS A LANE KEEP ASSIST SYSTEM (LKAS) WHICH REPEATEDLY HAS STEERED THE CAR OFF THE ROAD. BOTH THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN RECORDED AND PROVIDED TO AHM AND BOTH DEALERS. THESE ISSUES HAPPEN RANDOMLY ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. ADDITIONALLY, THIS CAR HAS ISSUES WITH RANDOMLY DISPLAYING AN INCORRECT SPEED LIMIT ON THE DASHBOARD (100 MPH IN A 60 MPH ZONE), FALSELY WARNING "STEERING IS REQUIRED" ON THE DASHBOARD, A "SHIFT TO PARK" WARNING WHILE REPOSITIONING THE CAR AND THE ENGINE IS ON, AND THE BRAKE ASSIST/ANTI-COLLISION FALSELY ACTIVATING WHEN NOTHING IS DIRECTLY IN THE PATH OF THE CAR. HAVE AUTOMATIC BRAKING AND LANE ASSIST DRIVING. BRAKES ON ITS OWN WITH NOTHING IN FRONT. HAPPENED TWICE. DEALER CALLS IT A GLITCH. I CALL IT VERY DANGEROUS. POLICE OFFICER WAS BEHIND ME WHEN IT HAPPENED LAST. GOOD THING HE HAD GOOD REFLEXES AND THE SPEED LIMIT WAS ONLY 45 MPH I WAS IN THE CENTER OF MY LANE WITH NO OBSTRUCTIONS, NO VEHICLES COMING FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. TURNED OFF THE PROGRAM AND HAVEN'T USED IT SINCE. SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID WOULD HAVE TO KEEP CAR AND TEST DRIVE UNTIL IT OCCURRED. I WILL DO THIS, BUT AM AFRAID THEY WILL BE KEEPING THE CAR FOR AWHILE BECAUSE IT HAPPENS OUT OF THE BLUE. IT'S HAPPENED TWICE IN A PERIOD OF TWO MONTHS. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR FOUR MONTHS. ANOTHER PROBLEM..PAINT IS SPOTTING ON CAR LIKE IT WAS HIT WITH ACID. HAD PROTECTIVE WAX PUT ON THE WEEK I PURCHASED IT. VEHICLE HAS 3500 MILES ON IT. PAINT ALSO SHOWS TONS OF ORANGE PEEL. I PAID A LOT FOR THIS MODEL. EXPECTED MORE.

IN COLDER WEATHER, THE VEHICLE MAKES A DRONE LIKE HUMMING NOISE, SIMILAR TO RUNNING A WET FINGER AROUND A WINE GLASS EXCEPT LOUDER. IF I OPEN THE WINDOW IT STOPS, IT ALSO STOPS BELOW 5 MPH. IT IS VERY DISTRACTING, I ALMOST WENT OFF THE ROAD TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM. THE DEALER IS TELLING ME IT'S THE SPEAKERS, BUT WHY WOULD IT STOP WHEN THE WINDOW IS OPEN. I BELIEVE IT'S THE ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION ANC - ONCE THE VEHICLE WARMS UP 15 - 20 MINUTES THE NOISE STOPS. I FEEL THIS IS A KNOWN SAFETY HAZARD THAT HONDA IS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT. ONE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE "ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON IT, BUT NO FIX AT THIS TIME". THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND IT ISN'T STOPPING. SEEMS LIKE HONDA IS HOPING FOR WARMER WEATHER BUT THAT IS NOT RIGHT. PLEASE HELP.

ON 2/14/19, I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET IN A STRAIGHT LINE AT APPROXIMATELY 40MPH. THE CAR AHEAD OF ME STOPPED. I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE AND INSTANTLY THE DASHBOARD WARNINGS LIT UP - ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM, ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM, AND THE BRAKE - AND THE BRAKE DID NOT WORK SO I COULD NOT STOP. I REAR-ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME DOING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF MY CAR. THE WARNINGS WERE STILL VISIBLE AFTER THE CRASH AND I TOOK PICTURES OF THE DASHBOARD AS BEST AS POSSIBLE. THE WARNINGS SAY SOMETHING ABOUT SYSTEM NOT WORKING AND TO SEE A DEALER. THE SAME WARNINGS APPEARED ON 2/13/19 IN THE AFTERNOON BUT DISAPPEARED ON 2/14/19 IN THE MORNING. OTHER WARNINGS OF SAFETY SYSTEMS NOT ACTIVE HAVE APPEARED DUE TO ICE/SLUSH BUT THEN CLEARED WHEN THE SENSORS WERE CLEARED, BUT THESE NEW WARNINGS ARE DIFFERENT. AT LEAST TWICE, MAYBE THREE TIMES IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS, THE CAR WOULD SUDDENLY BRAKE AND SLOW DOWN WITH NOTHING IN THE ROAD OR IN FRONT OF THE CAR. MY BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY WORKED FINE FOR FIRST 2-3 MONTHS BUT THEN STOPPED AND I COULDN'T RECONNECT THE PHONE OVER THE PAST TWO MONTHS. IT SEEMS LIKE MORE THAN ONE SYSTEM/ELECTRONICS PROBLEM AND SEEMS LIKE THE WARNINGS APPEARED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE BRAKE NOT WORKING AS IF IT WAS MORE THAN AN ALERT BUT A SYSTEM (SYSTEMS) NO LONGER FUNCTIONING AT ALL. THE BRAKE WORKED AFTER THE ACCIDENT WHEN THE CAR WAS RESTARTED.

1) WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKE IN MOTION OR FROM A PARKED POSITION THERE IS A 'CLICKING' NOISE THAT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. IT SOUNDS LIKE A GEAR IS STUCK OR SOMETHING IS STUCK. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME BUT IT HAPPENS OFTEN ENOUGH THAT IT IS NOTICEABLE AND DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A NORMAL NOISE. 2) HONDA SENSING LIGHT WILL FLASH EVEN WHEN NO OBJECT IS APPROACHING AND WILL CONTINUE TO FLASH.

I CALLED MY LOCAL HNDA DEALERSHIP IN READING PA. THEY SAID THEY HAVE RECEIVED ALOT OF THESE COMPLAINTS AND THEY THINK THEY HONDA SENSING SYSTEM JUST FREEZES IN THE WINTER. IT ONLY SNOWED 5 INCHES A DAY PRIOR TO THIS EVENT. BASICALLY THEY SAID IT WILL GO AWAY ONCE ITS BIT WARMER AND THEY HAVE NO FACTORY RECALL. ALL THE DEALERSHIP COULD REPEAT " WE ARE SORRY". I LOOKED ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND I FOUND 100S OF SIMILAR COMPLAINT. MY QUESTION IS WHY THEY ARE NOT FIXING IT? WHY THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL? THE FAILURE OF THIS HONDA SENSING SYSTEM DEFEATS THE MAIN REASON I BOUGHT THIS CAR ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS.

DURING SEVERAL OF THESE DANGEROUS BREAKING EVENTS NO VEHICLES OR OBJECTS WERE IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN RARE ENDED BECAUSE OF THE BREAKING. I HAVE NOTICED THAT EVEN S SHADOW FROM A TREE CAN TRIGGER THE SENSOR TO MAKE THE BREAKING SYSTEM TURN ON MAKING THE CAR COME TO A SUDDEN STOP. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN THIS FEATURE COMPLETELY OFF. WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF IT RESETS ONCE YOU TURN THE IGNITION TO START THE CAR AGAIN. Nov 7, 2018

SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN JULY AND ESPECIALLY OVER THE COURSE OF THE LAST TWO MONTHS THE CAR HAS BEEN EXHIBITING ERRORS WITH THE CPU (HONDA SENSING) SYSTEM ON BOARD. THE TRANSMISSION ALSO SEEMS TO EXHIBIT ISSUES WHICH I HAVE TAKEN UP WITH THE DEALERSHIP ON TWO OCCASIONS WHERE IT APPEARS TO SHIFT HARD UNDER LIGHT ACCELERATION AND EVEN UNDER PASSING POWER. ALSO, UPON ACCELERATING, THE CAR WILL SEEM TO BOG DOWN LIKE IT HAS A AIR INTAKE ISSUE(SENSATION FEELING) IT DOES IT FROM STOP AND GO AT TIMES AND ALSO WHEN AT SPEED. I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN IT RAINS IT SEEMS TO BE EVEN MORE PRONOUNCED AS WELL. THE OTHER ISSUE HAS BEEN THE HONDA SENSING. AS OF LATE I HAVE FOUND MYSELF TURNING OFF CERTAIN "SAFETY" FEATURES OUT OF FEAR OF THEM MALFUNCTIONING AFTER TWO FREAK INCIDENTS. TWICE WHEN AT SPEEDS ON THE HWY, THE EMERGENCY MITIGATING BRAKE HAS ENGAGED WITH NO TRAFFIC AROUND OR IN FRONT ME, BASICALLY SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES WHICH IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ANOTHER TIME THE STEERING HAS TRIED TO YANK ME INTO ANOTHER LANE THINKING I HAVE GONE OFF THE ROAD, THE ROAD MITIGATION SYSTEM. THESE ISSUES COULD HAVE PROVEN VERY DANGEROUS IN BOTH SITUATIONS IF VEHICLES WERE NEXT TO ME OR BEHIND ME AND THESE ISSUES WITH A BRAND NEW CAR ARE NOT MAKING ME FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE THE CAR. ALSO, ANOTHER NEW ITEM WHICH I HAVE CAUGHT ON CAMERA IS THE RADIO HEAD UNIT HAS NOW BEGAN TO SHUT OFF INTERMITTENTLY DURING NORMAL OPERATION FOR NO APPARENT REASON OR CAUSE. I HAVE HAD THE RECALL ON THE BACK UP CAMERA COMPLETED ALREADY. BUT THESE ERRORS STILL CONTINUE. THE CAR IS GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THURSDAY, 11/7/2018 TO GET THESE LOOKED INTO, BUT THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THE CAR HAS HAD TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP SINCE PURCHASE IN JULY FOR NON REGULAR MAINTENANCE. 1. CAR MULTIMEDIA UNIT (WITH A TOUCH-SCREEN) RANDOMLY FREEZES AND RESTARTS ITSELF. IT HAPPENED TO ME 9 TIMES ALREADY SINCE I BOUGHT A CAR IN JUNE 2018. IF YOU USE NAVIGATION SYSTEM OR NEED SCREEN FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES WHILE YOU DRIVING - YOU ARE IN TROUBLE, BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE CONTENT YOU HAD ON THE SCREEN BEFORE THE RESTART AND IT WILL DISTRACT YOU FROM THE DRIVING. AFTER RESTART SYSTEM IS VERY SLOW AND IT FORCES YOU TO ACCEPT LEGAL DECLAIMER WHILE YOU DRIVING! TWO TIMES IT JUST FROZE WITHOUT RESTART AND I HAD TO STOP THE CAR, TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND ON AGAIN, TO REMOVE THE PROBLEM. VERY ANNOYING AND ALSO NOT SAFE BECAUSE IT DISTRACTS YOU. ONE TIME IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS BACKING UP USING REAR VIEW CAMERA, WHICH ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY, MAINLY WHEN I'M DRIVING. IT HAPPENS WHEN DEVICES ARE ATTACHED TO THE MULTIMEDIA UNIT AND WITHOUT ANY DEVICES BEING ATTACHED OR USED. IT HAPPENS AT NIGHT AND DAY TIME AND I DOUBT IT IS RELATED TO OVERHEATING. IT CAN HAPPEN DURING LONG DRIVE AS WELL AS 5-10 MINUTES AFTER THE ENGINE START. NO VISIBLE PATTERN HERE. OCEAN HONDA OF BURLINGAME DEALERSHIP IN BAY AREA IS NOT HELPFUL AND TOTALLY NOT PROFESSIONAL. BEEN THERE TWICE, NO LUCK. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE PROPERLY ALWAYS TRYING TO SEARCH FOR FAULT IN MY ACTIONS OR BLAME COMPATIBLE DEVICES ATTACHED TO CIGARETTE POWER SLOT. AMERICAN HONDA ADVISED ME TO VIDEO RECORD THIS ACTIVITY WHILE I'M DRIVING !!!! STILL NO RESOLUTION. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HONDA 2. THE VEHICLE STOPPED RUNNING [PUSH TO START], AND ALL LIGHTS FLASHED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE ALL SENSORS BEGAN TO EMIT ERROR MESSAGES. I TURNED OFF AND EXITED VEHICLE, POPPED THE HOOD AND SMOKE WAS ALSO COMING UP FROM OUTSIDE THE CAR. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED IN MARCH 2018, AND AT TIME OF INCIDENT HAD A LITTLE 6000 MILES. AFTER LETTING CAR SIT FOR A FEW HOURS IT STARTED UP, WITH ERROR MESSAGES ACROSS THE DISPLAY..I.E. TPMS, CHECK ENGINE, LKAS,ETC. I THEN HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO NEAREST HONDA DEALER, AND THE SERVICE PEOPLE WERE UNSURE WHY A MODULE IN THE DASH BURNT OUT; SO THEY CONTACTED HONDA CORP. LONG STORY SHORT THEY PLACED BLAME THAT A CHARGER FOUND IN THE BOTTOM OF MY GLOVE BOX CAUSED IT, WHICH WAS NEVER USED IN MY CAR. TO THIS DAY NO ONE CAN ANSWER ME WHY A SPONTANEOUS FIRE STARTED IN MY CAR WHILE SITTING STILL WITH AC RUNNING, BUT THEY REFUSED TO FIX MY CAR. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS ISSUE IF THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN AT THE TIME OF THIS INCIDENT.
