Inadvertent Automatic Emergency Braking Collision Mitigation Braking System automatically activated even there is no obstruction while driving.
Head gasket blown at very low mileage. Roughly a little more than 80,000 miles on them and head gasket was blown. Car went to Limp mode and caused a safety concern while trying to get to a safe location. The problem has been confirmed by a mechanic and all the lights on the dash lit up at once
While I was driving my car on the highway doing the speed limit of 60mph my car lost complete power and lost speed to below 20mph and would not gain speed. I pulled over on the highway turned the car off and back on. It begins driving again normal. The next morning it was mis firing so I took it in to the dealer and this is what I was told after getting a diagnostic check: FOUND CYLINDERS 1 AND 4 LEAKING COOLANT FROM THE HEAD GASKET. I RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT OF THE HEAD GASKET, FUEL INEJECTORS, AND SPARK PLUGS. HEAD MAY NEED RESURFACED. INCLUDED IS ALSO OIL CHANGE
This has happened out of the blue and randomly more than once recently. loss of power/no acceleration. once it had no acceleration when taking off from a stopped position, and then again it lost acceleration while driving at a speed of around 50MPH the car would no longer accelerate, had to pull off to the side of the road and turned the car off and let it sit for a few minutes and then restarted the car and it resumed to function normally. there are no codes in the system, no warning lights, this has happened 4 different times now. Honda says they cant do anything if they cant make it repeat the problem when they diagnosis it and if the system doesnt have any active codes in it.
With my 2019 Honda accords I have had this car going on 4 yrs and now all my dashboard lights are on .. and stay on . Seltbelt lights , lane lights , brake, check engine light and light u can think of it's on in this car and it's not just my car
All the lights on the dash board is on, car won’t accelerate pass 20mph. I have gotten the fuel pump replaced (recall), head gasket replaced, ignition coals and spark plugs replaced(tune up) , oil changed, engine hair filter and cabin air filter. Every other week it’s something wrong with my 2019 Honda accord.
On May 13, 2025, I took my car to the Honda dealership, because all of the lights on the dashboard came on. I was told that the clips on my turbocharger needed to be replaced, and so Honda fixed that $120 (diagnostic fee) $209.99 to fix the issue. I was traveling so they kept the car for a week. I received the car back, and about 2 weeks later, 06/03, the same thing occurred, I was told that the engine air filter needed to be changed, and it caused the lights to go off $32.84. The next day 06/06, the lights went off again. I took my car back to the Honda dealership and they had the car from 06/09 - 09/04. Today they have reached out to say “It took a while to recreate the issue because they are ‘masking each other.’ There is a leak in the head gasket, and the turbocharger is going out.” It would be cheaper to buy a used engine and used turbocharger than to have it rebuilt.” I have spoken with other Honda owners, who have a 2018-2022 Honda accord, that have experience the same issue.
When the car is in reverse the reverse camera displays what looks like high contrast has been applied. It has a rainbow colors and the picture gets very distorted, especially when its night time or when the camera is facing the sun. It's extremely difficult to see pedestrians or oncoming cars.
All WARNING lights have turned on my dash. Ive done research and this is happening a lot of people that own 2018-2020 honda accord 1.5L.

The car was looked at the dealership mechanics nothing happened to where I need any others. It’s just been lagging getting up into speed etc. It popped up a month ago the emission light and went away. Came back two days ago which today is 6/20. Description of the Problem: In 2023, the A/C system in my 2019 Honda Accord Sport began to leak refrigerant due to a faulty A/C condenser and O-rings. The vehicle was repaired under Honda service bulletins (S/B 19-091, S/B 21-014–21-018), which replaced the condenser and O-rings. Within two years of this repair, the same issue has occurred again: refrigerant is leaking from the A/C system, leading to a failure of the system to cool properly. Despite the initial repair being done under warranty, I am being quoted for additional repairs, which suggests a systemic issue with the A/C system. There is no recall issued for this problem, but the fact that the issue has recurred so soon after a factory-approved repair raises concerns about the durability and quality of the parts involved. ON THREE OCCAISIONS, THE DRIVER SAFETY ASSIST SYSTEM SHUT OFF. EACH TIME THERE WERE NO OBSTRUCTION IN RADAR AND THE DAY WAS NOT A HOT DAY. THE AUTO ASSIT CRUISE CONTROL SHUT DOWN TO. SHUTTING THE CAR OFF SEEMED TO RESET. I WAS UNAWARE BY PRESSING THE MAIN SWITH ON STEERING WHEEL WILL RESET THE SYSTEM. BUT AS I SAID TURNING OFF THE VEHILCE SEEMS TO RESET. I CHECKED LANE DEPARTURE BUT IT AFFECTED ALL SAFE DRIVING SYSTEMS. YOUR SYSTEM WOULD ONLY ALLOW ME TO CHECK ONE BOX IT WOULD NOT LET ME CHECK.
I was driving down the interstate and all of a sudden all the lights in the dash board came on. My Vehicle began to slow down on the interstate in a lot of traffic.
My vehicle makes a humming noise while driving. The humming noise is heard about 3 times in a row then a pause then 3 more hums, while driving but seems to be louder at around 50mph +. My vehicle has 56k miles an it and it has had that sound since I purchased it used with about 30k miles. I have been doing research on it but have not been able to figure out what causes the humming noise nor what the resolution is to fix it. I have heard about the Adaptive Noise control but I hear it even with the windows down and the music off.
I received a letter in the mail stating that my fuel injections had a recall. 2024 Feb-Mar. Letter stated that I would not be able to get it fit until the fall because Honda Parts were backed up. At about May all my dash board lights were on, check engine, TPS, tire pressure. I assumed it was from the recall. At that time I had about 120,000 or 130,000 on my car, I'll have to check my oil change reports. Nov 2024 I was finally about to get my fuel injection fix, per the dealership. Lights were still on afterwards. Now February 2025, I get it check out, I need a new Turbo and an Engine because my gasket has blown. About December of 2024 I noticed I had issues with accelerating. My car jerks causing me some safety issues. This is my only car. I am afraid to drive it.
Multiple times while driving my car the automatic braking system activated with no reason, brakes were momentarily engaged. It has happened at speeds of 10-75 mph. I and any drivers near me were absolutely put in danger. I took it to the dealer when I first experienced it in 2020 and 2021 they were not able to reproduce it and told me there was nothing I could do. Every time this happens especially when I am on the freeway it is VERY disturbing and causes me a great deal of anxiety. There is no way to get this to stop. I have attempted to deactivate anything related to the automatic braking feature and it still engages. The orange flashing brake messages come up randomly. Im very afraid I am going to get into an accident. My family has seen enough tragedy and I don't want to add to that.
The backup camera does not work approximately 25% of the time car is put in reverse. This is an ongoing problem and has occurred dozens of times over the last 2 months. The screen is blank except for the guidance lines. There are no warning lamps or alarms during the malfunction. The problem has not been confirmed or inspected by the dealer or other representatives.
I am experiencing severe paint peeling on my 2019 Honda Accord sport in areas that are not typically exposed to environmental wear and tear such as inside the trunk, under the hood and inside the door jams. This appears to be a defect in the paint or application process, as these areas should not be vulnerable to such deterioration under normal use . Despite bringing this issue to Honda’s attention they declined to guarantee the quality of a potential paint repair job. As a result, I had no choice but to repaint the car and my own expense to prevent further damage. I am filing this complaint in hopes that others that have experienced similar issues with their Honda vehicles will report them and that Nhtsa will investigate this apparent defect. This could help ensure that Honda takes accountability and provides assistance to affected owners in the future. This defect not only affects the aesthetics but could potentially lead to long-term issues with rust and corrosion in the areas where the paint is peeling . I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue to protect other consumers and encourage manufacturers to address and resolve such quality concerns.
I own a 2019 Honda Accord purchased brand new in 2019. My family and I have been Honda owners forever. My current Honda Accord LX has 96,000 miles and recently my Emissions dashboard illuminated. I took my vehicle to Gillman Honda and to my surprise I have been advised the Turbocharger needs to be replaces and it will cost me $2,900.00. I'm also still on the waitlist for the Fuel Pump Recall Honda has failed to provide parts for the past year which is incurring me extra expenses on buying gas way more than I should. After reading multiple complaints, I'm convinced Honda is fully aware of the Turbocharger issues and have failed to initiate a recall. I'm very frustrated with the lack of transparency and accountability Honda is conducting regarding their manufacturing process. Why is a car at 5 years old experiencing a blow in a turbocharger and why is it taking over a year to have parts in place for a recall for fuel pump a car that could lead to extra expenses and damage to a vehicle? I am requesting Honda immediately provides the fuel replacement part needed for the recall for my vehicle and contact me for a definite date for repairs and reimbursement for this service that my car shouldn't need due to their failure in manufacturing. Please investigate their turbocharger system problems on their new cars.
My car has difficulty starting and shows up that the battery is dead. When I checked the battery, it was fine. My car has a strange smell coming out of the AC, my oil light is on even if the oil is fine and brand new. Something is wrong with the fuel pump as well.
Unlnown. I need a recall service done on my vehicle , I have not been able to receive this service and my vehicle has hesitation during driving when I want to accelerate entering highways.
"Supplemental Restraint System Problem. See Your Dealer" and the air bag warning light was turned on multiple times. Upon turning off and restarting the vehicle, the warning lights are not turned on sometimes. But at random times, the failure reoccurred persistently. Noticed that my vehicle has 5 different Recalls but my VIN only has one recall needed(?). Managed to figure out that the SRS system is faulty due to the front passenger's belt buckle being stuck sometimes. Dealership won't let me replace the belt buckle for free since my VIN is not part of the recall process. Faulty SRS won't work if accident occurs and driver is at the risk always. Also, during driving there is a weird struting noise that happens behind the steering wheel. Can't seem to make out what or where the noise is coming from.
Everything comes on my dashboard it doesn't let me go in fast than 45 or it will shut off when I am driving and it doesn't let me drive uphill it starts to slow down and stop but if I turn it off and back on it will start off going great and then it will stop working again I have taken it in to hoada and it is gotten me no were please help me

Faulty rear view backup camera. The camera is transmitting images with bright pink and green blotches which makes it difficult to see what is behind the car. The distortion is apparent to anyone looking at the camera image. I first noticed the issue on 6/29/2024. The car is available for inspection upon request.
1.the AC is not working no more I told the people at the Honda dealer that it will hiss and my car will vibrate in the seats and this been going on for 2 years and I had Honda care and the people at the dealership told me it’s not nun to worry saying it’s common for Honda now I don’t have AC at all
Back up camera malfunctioning since the past couple weeks. It displays these colorful artifacts as shown in the attached images. It makes it harder to observes obstructions, cars while backing up. 2019 Honda Accord SRS (supplement restraint system) unit light came on. The dealership informed me that the SRS unit and the driver side airbags are defective. The dealership had the car for a week attempting to figure out the issue and replaced both the SRS unit and the driver side airbags. They gave me the car back and 15 miles later the SRS unit light came back on. There is a safety concern with this because this module is what tells the airbags to deploy properly. And the driver side airbag was defective as well.
There is a recall for fuel pumps and mines is making a loud noise.
I CALLLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY REMEDY YET FOR THIS RECALL. I RENT MY CAR ON TURO PLATFORM AND THEY DELISTED MY CAR DUE TO THIS RECALL AND I AM LOSING MY BUSINESS CAUSE OF THIS RECALL SINCE HONDA DOESNOT HAVE CAME WITH ANY SOLUTION.
My car is making loud siren noise when backing up. I took my car to the dealer a few times and they said it's nothing they can do about the noise. They do not know why the noise is happening. I research other Honda cars and people are talking about the same problem. It's not fair my car is making this loud noise. I was willing to pay for it to be fixed but Honda said they understand but it's nothing they can do. I bought my car brand new in 2019. It's only 2024. This problem started at least 1 1/2 to 2 years ago. Honda is still selling cars with this problem occurring in short time. NOT FAIR!!
My three year old daughter was locked in the vehicle recently which is a major safety concern and was a very terrifying experience. All door locks were malfunctioning. I was unable to gain access to her for several minutes via my key fob or manually pulling the handle/latch. It was in the 40s, after several minutes I was able to gain access through the drivers door. I struggled to undo her car seat from the front. Finally I was able to reach her and she crawled out through the front seat. I was frantic because I was unable to manually unlock the doors when the door release latching system failed. The very next morning I went to warm up the car to take my daughter to school and 10warnings displayed: TPMS, brake system hold, brake system performance, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control x2, electric power steering, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation. This incident constitutes as CHILD ENDANGERMENT in the state of NC. I am terrified and afraid to drive this vehicle, because if in the event of an emergency the doors/car could malfunction AGAIN and we would not be able to exit the vehicle. Surprisingly, I took my car the next morning to a scheduled diagnostics appointment with my certified Honda dealership and they failed to identify the problem. This experience is very anxiety provoking and overwhelming to know that the one thing that is supposed to protect us and keep us safe is the one thing that failed us. Someone needs to hold Honda accountable before this defect results in bodily harm/injury and/or death. This is something that should be taken seriously as Honda has had known problems with the body control modules and safety mechanisms. I would like for NHTSA to conduct a causation survey for failure of safety mechanisms. I would like an update after investigations have been conducted. Sincerely, Terror stricken and perplexed mom.
I am experiencing a Honda door lock actuator malfunction. There was an awarded class action lawsuit regarding this recall in 2019. The first time I took it to Honda, but they were unable to replicate the intermittent malfunction and could not further assist me. I have shown them recorded videos of the issue, which can’t be used for diagnoses however, photos and videos can be submitted for evidentiary purposes and for health care treatment. At drop off even the staff member who checked my vehicle in had to climb through the drivers seat to unlock the passenger door. I took it again a second time, and they are only able to replace one actuator since it’s not not operable while it’s an issue with all my doors intermittently. I have taken leave from work to ensure repair. I have to pay deductibles each time until all the doors are resolved.
Had rattling noise coming inside the driver door. Took it to local dealership. Said that the adhesive came off the safety support beam of the door. Told me that they can’t do anything about it, and recommended me to go to an auto body shop. Went to three different shops that all had the same answers: We can’t put adhesive on and put it back together since the piece is a safety structure of the car. They refuse to fix it has one of the shops explained, it would make them liable for any injuries involved in an accident for the beam failing to support the safety structure of the door. Another explains that this a safety defect from the manufacturer, and that the whole door must be replaced for safety regulations. So I decided to take the car back to the dealership, explaining it to the dealers. They still refused to do anything about it, saying that they won’t don’t anything about it, and try finding a place that will glue it back together or do it yourself.
Is Honda ever going to correct their air conditioning issues? This is the second vehicle from Honda that I’ve purchased brand new that has a/c issues in under a year. The first time, I just stuck it out and sweated to death in my car until my lease ended, now I can’t do that for the safety of my children while living in the Deep South. It’s incredibly dangerous for drivers to sit in a hot car- even if the windows are down.

Hi. Just looking for information on how to go about with my car. A few months ago, i was driving within my city in the residential area, and while i was driving, my car quickly, like for 3 seconds, just lost power, there was no warning lights or anything that came on, it just felt like i accidentally touched the brakes real quick while driving, but i didn't. Fast forward to Friday. I was driving home from work on the Interstate. There was a big rig gas carrier truck next to me, and all of a sudden with my foot still on the gas my car felt like it was loosing power as if i was putting my foot on the brake, it was at least for 30 seconds as if it was about to come to a complete stop in the middle of the highway, im grateful there was no car behind me, because i really probably would have died getting hit from behind and probably hitting the gas tanker.. But when it did slow down my car swerved and I almost hit the big rig gas carrier truck, but i had to swerve back over into my lane, and about time i got back into my lane the power in the car picked back up (like nothing happened) and i was able to drive home but i just drove slow because i was scared. I almost died, it was scary, and now im afraid to drive my car. I shouldn't be having this problem my car is only 3 years old. I just got this car a few years ago brand new and still paying for it, and I'm trying to see how i can go about this, is it fixable? I have not taken it in to a dealer yet, but from looking it up on line there is a lawsuit going on from hondas in my year of this happening, that the Honda dealers don't know whats going on yet either.
All 4 of the vehicle door lock actuators have failed either intermittently or permanently. This results in the doors unlocking and potentially not relocking causing the vehicle to be unsecured. The dealer claims that my vehicle is an isolated incident and that the mileage exceeds the warranty. I maintain that all 4 of the lock actuators failing is not a chance occurrence and that faulty parts were used in the manufacturing process. The failures began happening at approximately 18 months after I purchased the vehicle in new condition.
Sudden engine power loss; merging to highway speed was not possible. Risk to safety was the loss was when needing to merge with traffic at highway speeds. The dealership could not reproduce the problem. The check engine light did come on, but no codes were generated. The check engine light extinguished before the vehicle could be taken to the dealership. Only possible symptom, prior to the event, and still existing, is a lack of power, compared to when it was new. The dealership cannot confirm the cause of this power loss. There are other indications that there is a controls/computer problem, in my opinion. Power assist is not always available, but then suddenly engages, causing the car to jerk. My conclusion is that the vehicle does not immediately recognize the steering input. The problem is most pronounced when traveling straight, on the highway and needing to make a mild lane correction to maintain the lane. The vehicle does not immediately recognize the mild steering input until the steering wheel has been turned significantly. Once the steering wheel has been turned significantly and the steering input is recognized, the power steering engages, causing a sudden jerk and a need to recover control. The dealership has not been able to reproduce this problem. I have been able to temporarily resolve it, by momentarily engaging the Lane Keep Assist. Normal, expected power assisted steering is recovered for a period of time.
Tire Sensor light keeps coming on and tires are brand new, and air same pressure. Dealership said it was because of tread depth so I got new tires but tire sensor keeps coming on
NOT ONLY DOES THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN SOMETIMES BLACK OUT WHEN I AM NAVIGATING, BUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SOMETIMES KICKS IN ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WHEN THERE IS NO CAR IN FRONT OF ME OR NONE ON EITHER SIDE. I ALSO GET OCCASIONAL COFFEE CUP ICONS WITH A DRIVER ALERT SIGNAL EVEN WHEN I AM DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE, YET CONSCIOUS OF THE NEED TO STEER A BIT TO TELL THE SYSTEM I AM ALERT. THE ALERTS HAPPEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THIS HAS HAPPENED QUITE A FEW TIMES. THE DEALER'S ONLY RESPONSE WAS THAT HONDA IS AWARE AND BLAMES THE PROBLEM ON USING THE CORD THAT MUST BE USED TO ACTIVATE CARPLAY AND THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM!

I WAS AT A RED STOP LIGHT ON A LOCAL STREET. IT WAS A CLEAR, SUNNY DAY. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND I STARTED TO PROCEED. I WAS IN THE LEFT HAND TRAFFIC LANE (THERE ARE TWO LANES FOR A LEFT HAND TURN AT THIS SPOT). AS I PROCEEDED TO MAKE THE TURN, THE BRAKE MITIGATION SYSTEM ACTIVATED THE BRAKE. THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME. THERE WAS A CAR BEHIND ME AND TO MY RIGHT. I DRIVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION SO THIS ACTION CAUSED MY CAR TO STALL. LUCKILY THE CAR BEHIND ME DID NOT HIT ME. I TRIED TO RESTART MY CAR QUICKLY. I HAD A HARD TIME RESTARTING THE CAR AS THE PARKING BRAKE MUST BE ON TO START THE CAR AS WELL AS THE CLUTCH DEPRESSED AND FOOT BRAKE PRESSED. AS THIS ALL HAPPENED SO QUICKLY AND I DID NOT EXPECT THE CAR TO STALL FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I DO NOT LIKE THE MITIGATION SYSTEM AS YOU HAVE TO TURN IT OFF EACH TIME YOU START YOUR CAR. I TRIED CALLING MY DEALERSHIP TO SET AN APPOINTMENT BUT THE EARLIEST TIME THEY CAN GIVE ME IS ON THE 24TH OF JULY.
07/06/20 WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE PLASTIC GAS PEDAL SNAPPING OFF AND BECOMING LODGED BEHIND THE BRAKE PEDAL PREVENTING ADEQUATE STOPPING THAT RESULTED IN ME REAR ENDING ANOTHER VEHICLE. MAX SPEED REACHED ON THE FREEWAY BEFORE COLLISION WAS 65 MPH. TRYING TO BRAKE WAS NOT SMOOTH AND I HAD TO PRESS DOWN EXTREMELY HARD IN ORDER FOR THE BRAKING SYSTEM TO RESPOND AND STILL ENDED UP COLLIDING WITH THE OTHER VEHICLE AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED THAN THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WHEN PAYING ATTENTION TO SURROUNDING TRAFFIC, EVEN WITH A CAR LENGTH DISTANCE INFRONT OF ME AT THE START OF BREAKING. IT IS TYPICAL OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM TO ENGAGE WHEN "DETECTING" CLOSE PROXIMITY TO ANOTHER OBJECT OR VEHICLE BUT, ON MANY OCCASIONS THERE WAS NO ONE THERE; HOWEVER, IN THE CASE OF TODAYS ACCIDENT COLLISION MITIGATION WAS NOT RESPONSIVE. TIRE ROTATION PERFORMED AT HONDA ON 6/29/20 WITH REPORTS THAT BRAKE LINES, FLUIDS, AND PADS WERE UP TO PAR HOWEVER THIS IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT THE CASE. THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL THAT HAS NOT MADE ITS WAY TO CONSUMERS FOR THE FUEL PUMP IN THIS CAR THAT TOOK ME SO DIGGING TO FIND. INITIATED 5,28,2020 BUT, WILL NOT GO IN EFFECT UNTIL 7,22,2020. IT IS NOT THE TOP OF THE CALF MUSCLE THAT IS IMPEDED, IT IS THE KNEE WHICH LOCKS AGAINST THE OVERLY THICK PLASTIC (2"-3" HIGH) SURROUNDING THE ENTIRE TOP OF THE CENTER CONSOLE, AND SO YOU MUST MAKE MULTIPLE FOOT AND LEG STABBING MOVEMENTS IN ORDER TO WITH DIFFICULTY ACTUALLY ENGAGE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP AFTER BEING ON THE GAS PEDAL. THIS WOULD EFFECT ALL MALES WITH HEIGHT 5.9" OR OVER AND SOME TALLER WOMEN. THE PROBLEM IS THE KNEE LOCKS TIGHT AGAINST THE CENTER CONSOLES PLASTIC AT THE TOP OF THE CONSOLE, AND YOUR FOOT BECOMES TRAPPED AGAINST THE GAS PEDAL. THE TIME DIFFERENTIAL TO RELOCATE YOUR LEG AND FOOT TO ENGAGE THE BRAKE IS AN ADDITIONAL HALF SECOND OR LONGER. YOU HAVE TO HAV LEGS LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE YOUR KNEE BECOME ADJACENT TO THE 2-3" HIGH THICK PLASTIC ALONG THE TOP EDGE OF THE CENTER CONSOLE WHICH RUNS THE ENTIRE SIDES OF THE CENTER CONSOL AT ITS TOP. IT IS EXTREMELY CRAMPING AND DISRUPTIVE TO LEG MOVEMENT BY PINNING THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE KNEE JOINT. HONDA MUST REMOVE THE AREA OF THAT THICK STRIIP OF HORIZONTAL (FRONT TO BACK) PLASTIC WHERE THE KNEE ENGAGES IT, TO ALLOW ONE TO ROTATE ONE'S FOOT EASILY BETWEEN GAS AND BRAKE. IF THEY DO NOT MULTIPLE FATALITIES MAY OCCUR.

THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS TOO CLOSE TO THE CENTER CONSOLE AND THIS RESULTS IN AN INABILITY TO ROTATE YOUR FOOT EASILY AND ENGAGE THE BRAKE, ONE INSTEAD MUST SLIDE ONES LEG AND FOOT CLEAR OF THAT BELL HOUSING REARWARDS, THEN PUSH FORWARD AND ENAGE THE BRAKE SLOPPILY, IT SLOWS DOWN BRAKING BY ABOUT A SECOND WHICH IS DANGEROUS, AND THERE IS A LIKELIHOOD YOUR SHOE SOUL WILL CATCH THE BRAKE EDGE AND PREVENT BRAKING. ONES LEG AND FOOT FEEL TRAPPED AGAINST THE CENTER CONSOLE HOUSING. I BELIEVE THIS DESIGN DIFFERS FROM 2016 AND BEFORE ACCORDS, AND IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. IT SLOWS YOUR BRAKE REFLEX DOWN AND REQUIRES MULTIPLE RELOCATIONS OF THE HEEL WHICH COULD BLOCK HITTING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND BLOCK ANY BRAKING ALTOGETHER AND THAT COULD LEAD TO MULTIPLE FATALITIES. AT LEAST FOR ME, A 6' TALL MAN IN HIS 60S, THE PEDALS ARE DANGEROUS AND PLACED WRONG. IT IS A DESIGN DEFECT.
A FEATURE OF THE CAR IS TO SCAN ROAD SIGNS AND DISPLAY SOME ON THE DASHBOARD, SUCH AS SPEED LIMIT. I WAS DRIVING ON ROUTE 100 AND THE CAR DISPLAYED THE SPEED LIMIT AS 100 MPH. IT DID THIS TWICE, IN APPROXIMATELY THE SAME SECTION OF THE HIGHWAY, ONCE NORTHBOUND AND ONCE SOUTHBOUND. THIS OCCURRED WHILE I WAS IN MOTION, BUT THE DISPLAY LINGERED LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO SNAP A PICTURE AT A STOP LIGHT. NOTE: THE OWNER'S MANUAL ADMONISHES DRIVERS TO KEEP THE SCANNERS CLEAN. BUT I HAD JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM A USED CAR DEALER ON 7/23/19, AND KEPT IT IN A GARAGE OVERNIGHT. IT WAS PRISTINE.
