I noticed random misfires months ago. I've replace my spark plug three times in 6 months. My coils are good, etc. It started getting worse about a month ago. It goes into limp mode and suddenly slows to 20 mph. Some days it won't start. The dash lights flash and the cars computer goes crazy it won't go over 20 mph. This is a widespread issue causing ppl to spend thousands and no fix in sight. Usually it hits between 15-90k miles. Twice I was on the interstate and it just slowed to 20 mph. I have had it at the dealer twice. They are clueless and can't do much without Honda stepping up. Honda needs to address this. My car was built in 2021 and somehow missed a major recall. It's putting stress on my catalytic converter and other parts that cost thousands to fix. I'm taking it in on Monday for the third time. If they can pinpoint it this time I'm afraid it might cost me thousands. It's a Honda and it shouldn't be having issues from 15k to 90k.

The fuel system on my 2022 Honda Accord malfunctioned and caused a sudden loss of power while my teenage son was driving. On 12/03/2025 at approximately 4:50 PM, the vehicle went into reduced-power (limp) mode while traveling in heavy highway traffic on a busy highway in a metro-area of >450,000 people. There was no shoulder available in which he could navigate onto. He was unable to accelerate and had to coast approximately one mile at low speed while many, many cars were driving around him during rush hour traffic , which created a dangerous situation with vehicles traveling at normal highway speeds. A Honda dealership has previously inspected and confirmed the problem. On 07/28/2025, the service center documented lean fuel condition, misfire codes (P0301, P0304), failed fuel-rail pressure, and injector-related faults. They recommended replacement of fuel-system components. The printed report and repair estimate are available for inspection upon request. Prior to the safety incident, the vehicle intermittently displayed symptoms such as hesitation during acceleration and irregular engine operation, but no permanent warning light stayed on. The failure has progressed over time and the same loss-of-power condition can recur at any time. This poses a risk because loss of propulsion in moving traffic can lead to a collision. The component issue has been confirmed by the Honda dealer, and documentation is attached. I am filing this report because the failure creates a safety hazard, has been reproduced by a local dealership, and has not been resolved. The repair show suggested I return to Honda for repair. Furthermore, during my research of this problem, I discovered tens of thousands of complaints from others experiencing this exact issue, including new low mileage vehicles. These complaints are available on all social media platforms and search engines, with each complaint indicating problems with the fuel injectors on engines using direct fuel injection.

The problem is with the Infotainment system. It was replaced once under warranty but is again malfunctioning. The infotainment system controls some critical features of the vehicle. One instance is when trying to calibrate tpms after a low condition, it is impossible to get control of the display as it makes "Ghost" selections or is hung up. Resets both hard and soft do not work. Removing the negative battery cable doesn't work. Note that research shows many Accords and other models are effected. It also seems the manufacturer is aware of the situation and doing nothing to correct it. This is a safety issue. If it were just the radio effected, I really would care. But because the cars systems rely on the infotainment systems, its a concern. Symptoms are : Freezing & Crashing: The screen becomes unresponsive or shuts down unexpectedly. Phantom Touches: The screen registers touches that aren't happening, selecting things randomly on its own. Audio/Radio Malfunctions: Stations changing or Bluetooth disconnecting. System Restarts: The unit turns off and on by itself, even after the car is off.

infotainment system ghost touches the screen and changes from navigation to radio to xm to screen savor to Bluetooth, very dangerous as navigation is not reliable for turn my turn directions and this is extremely distracting honda says no fix consumer problem. warrent ran out 6/25 and car has 35,000 miles

My infotainment screen randomly registers phantom/ghost touches while I’m driving. It changes audio sources, turns the volume up, switches screens, opens apps, places phone calls on its own (including to coworkers), and becomes completely unresponsive to my actual touch inputs. It will also jump between menus and navigation screens without me touching anything. This takes my eyes off the road and has nearly caused multiple accidents. The dealership has already replaced the entire touchscreen unit, but the problem continues exactly the same. They told me Honda uses a third-party manufacturer for these units and that there is no known fix. Honda Care also has no resolution and sent me back to the dealership, creating a loop with no actual repair path. Both Honda and the dealer acknowledge this is a known issue affecting many Honda Accord owners, but no permanent fix exists. The system makes random phone calls, changes the map and audio menus while I’m driving, interferes with navigation, and prevents me from ending calls or controlling the screen. This is a major distraction and a direct safety hazard. The defect persists even after parts replacement. I am reporting this because it is a widespread, well-documented issue that Honda has not resolved, and it has the potential to cause serious accidents.

infotainment system is susceptible to intermittent ghost touches. This occurs when using any functionality of the screen of the infotainment system including navigation, music playing, apple car play, and hands free cell phone calls. The screen will open up new menus on its own, end a navigation route, place cell phone calls on hold, and not respond to touches from the driver. This creates a highly dangerous situaiton while driving as the driver must take their eyes off the road to attempt to remedy constant errors and glitches with the infotainment system. Particularly troublesome are instances occurring when using navigation as the driver will need to re-input a destination that was canceled or having a phone call placed on hold mid-conversation. Navigation systems are sometimes necessary to operate the vehicle. Phone calls are no longer hands free if the driver has to look down at their phone to try and disconnect it from the infotainment system to resume the call. This requires taking your eyes off the road for an extended period of time, potentially while traveling at highway speeds. Vehicle was returned to manufacture via dealership several times to address the issue. The Dealer confirmed a defective infotainment system in October 2024 and replaced it under warranty. Due to the part being on back-order it was not replaced until March 2025. The issue continues with the newly replaced screen. The vehicle has been returned several times to the dealer since replacing the screen. Dealer claims they cannot duplicate the issue and do not know what is causing it. Opened Case #: 15316225 with American Honda Motor Co. which went unresolved after several visits to the dealer.

this problem is related an Infotainment system problem. Infotainment screen turning on/off randomly, restarting unexpectedly, and autonomously switching between radio stations (e.g., AM to FM), audio sources (e.g., Bluetooth), maps, or other apps—are a well-documented problem for the 2022 Honda Accord (and similar 10th-gen models). This is often linked to faulty touchscreens, software glitches, or hardware defects. I have had the infotainment system replace less than a year ago, the problem has returned. This become a safety issue because some of the cars "Systems" are run from the infotainment center. When getting a low tire pressure alarm then refilling the tire to proper capacity, the tps cant be re-calibrated because the infotainment system is not responding to touch control.

The radio itself will start glitching out the screen would start changing by itself and making observe beeping noise as it change took it to a Honda dealership. They told me it would be a 50-50 chance if they did a warranty claim on it and that it was a possibility of the problem coming back so they did not replace the screen people been having this problem since 2020 that I read in the comments. It is a big problem as for safety while driving because it makes you take your eyes off the road because screen changing in the beeping noise . They also told me that Honda could roll out a update or a recall for it but it’s been since 2020 and nothing has happened about this situation.

All vehicle assistance lights on such as e-break, vsa, mitigation system, and cruise control show up as faulty. Infotainment system goes off on its own as well. Very bad electrical parking break light always shows up when vehicle starts. Taking it to dealer multiple times they claimed it’s ok.

Have had numerous occurrences of the Infotainment System having a mind of its own during the past several months. This issue has been commonly intermittent. Driving conditions, temperature, road conditions, time of day, or anything else have had an effect on when it happens or duration that it happens. I have taken my vehicle in to the Honda dealership to have it diagnosed. The dealership diagnosed the issue as "Ghost Touch" and their recommendation was to replace the Infotainment System screen. It was days after the replacement that the "Ghost Touch" happened again with the new system installed. Most recently I had the vehicle in to the dealership for the "Ghost Touch" issue. After hours of troubleshooting the dealership used their Tech Line to find more information about the "Ghost Touch" issue from Honda. The response was as follows: "Tech Line has been made aware of a false (Ghost/Phantom) touch with the display panel. This issue is under review by the vendor. As all parts in stock are affected, replacement of the display panel for this issue is not recommended at this time." As the Infotainment System becomes self aware and makes involuntary changes to maps, directories, and phone usage completely on its own and at random, it becomes a distraction to operating the vehicle in a safe manner. I called Honda Corporation to see if there was something that could be done and I was told to make sure that I went through the dealership and that they were aware of the issue. As this has become commonplace for the 2021 and 2022 Honda Accord models, that Honda has known about the issue for several years, and that there are apparently hundreds of owners of this vehicle that are having the same issue, that Honda would issue a recall or have a repair by this time. According to, and as of this date, the dealership is not aware of any recalls or repairs to this system by the manufacturer.

Radio glitches, happens on and off

Sep 11, 2025

Infotainment center constantly glitches! Ghost touches. No way to fix it. Had screen replaced 3 times by Honda. Safety hazard because my maps will go off road. Needs fixed ASAP!

The infomatic system. It seems as if it has a mind of its own. It consistently randomly changes on its own. I have several videos of this happening. When this happens as its random its very distracting as it makes noises everytime it changes to a different screen. This also effects the GPS system. It randomly turns off and on. The navigation system is able to be used as its not reliable. I have tried to have 2 dealerships look at it but they need to take time to dedicate to finding a solution. They only turn the car on for a few min then off. They have copies of my videos. Yes the honda dealer made a very little attempt at looking at it. But stated Honda does not have reports of this problem. There is no warning when the problem happens.

The infotainment touchscreen/head unit in my 2022 Honda Accord Touring repeatedly registers random “ghost touches” without being touched. This defect primarily affects Apple CarPlay Maps, where the screen zooms, jumps, or changes routes on its own. On multiple occasions, it has caused me to miss turns and created distractions while driving, putting my safety and others at risk. The problem began around may 2025 and occurs frequently. There are no warning lamps or error codes. The dealer was informed but stated that there is no recall or service bulletin, and replacement would only be at the owner’s expense. This issue is widespread among Honda Accord owners, with many reporting identical ghost touch malfunctions online. Because the infotainment screen also controls navigation, climate, and audio functions, the defect interferes with essential driving controls and creates a significant safety hazard.

Aug 27, 2025

The screen on my honda accord and hundreds if not thousands of other people that I have seen online, randomly begins constantly activating buttons on screen which has almost resulted in a car accident for me. Very danger and unacceptable, honda is aware of the issue and refused to fix it. This is going to get people killed if not fixed.

Aug 22, 2025

My dashboard is saying driver is sleepy? And my radio is changing to different modes by itself.

Aug 18, 2025

the infotainment system frequently experiences phantom touches on the touch screen interface. This puts my safety at risk because it can make unwanted changes to the navigation system, audio source, or even make unwanted phone calls. Imagine driving on the road and suddenly you're calling emergency services. This problem has been reproduced by other Honda Accord owners and documented online. The only "fix" has been to have the infotainment system replaced, but it sometimes still persists even after a replacement. https://www.reddit.com/r/accord/comments/1fn6iwh/accord_is_useless_ghost_touch/ Honda has no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms. The issue just happens.

Aug 15, 2025

The touch screen in my car recently has been moving on itself without me touching it. It starts glitching and going through different apps and settings without me doing anything. It doesn’t allow me to listen to music, make calls, scheme through apps etc.

Aug 15, 2025

The infotainment unit for my car will randomly shift from one screen to another, beeping and flashing as it does so. It turns off maps, turns on and off the radio, etc. this is highly distracting to the driver and cannot be reset easily. Taking it to the dealership results in them telling me it’s a known issue but there isn’t a fix or a remedy for it.

Aug 14, 2025

The radio/screen consistently glitches and acts like someone is pressing buttons on it when you are not. This includes turning the station, changing volume up or down, and becoming non responsive all together. If you do a simple internet search for honda accord radio glitching you will see hundreds of people with same issue; dealership has no fix to offer. This is a safety issue and should be fixed via recall.

Aug 9, 2025

The touchscreen will glitch nonstop and random buttons are selected. The screen will freeze so when it calls random people, cancels my directions and other inconvenient things. I have to take my eyes off the road to address it. It’s extremely dangerous as it occurs so often now. I cannot drive down the road without it glitching and stopping any music or directions I have on. It’ll turn music on even after I turn the audio off.

Aug 8, 2025

Touchscreen glitches in its own. Taps all over the screen nonstop. Cannot safely put in directions to get to a location. Have to unplug my phone and use my phone screen for directions, which as a driver I’m not supposed to be on my phone. Also when it glitches it can go to my phone and call people while I’m driving, constantly have to take my attention off of driving to hang the phone up and exit the phone screen. When screen is turned off it will also turn itself back on. There is not fix to this for us only problems. Hearing lots of people having the same problem but Honda isn’t making a recall of fixing anybody’s vehicles

Aug 4, 2025

I purchased the Accord new and bought an extended warranty from Honda (Honda Care). My car started having intermittent glitches with the infotainment system about 8 or 9 months ago. The system experiences ghost touches, freezes up, disconnects from my phone, randomly makes calls, hangs up on calls I actually make, will not turn off. Basically, this thing controls the car's brain. I have taken the car to 2 different dealerships and gotten the same response: there is no known fix at this time. Keep in mind, Honda has know about this problem since 2019. I contacted Honda Corporation. I have spoken to them several times. The second to last time I spoke with them (7/31/25), I requested Honda buy the car back. Today Honda called and told me that my car does not qualify for repurchase because I haven't had an inordinate amount of issues with the car. They further said, as we as we have a fix they will contact me and there was nothing else they could do. Remember, they have know about this issue for better than 6 years and, according to information I gathered from the internet, it has been prevalent issue with many people. Not only is this issue a nuisance, it is a safety issue as well.

Aug 4, 2025

The screen is not working. In the middle of driving, the screen keeps changing and appears that someone is touching it, but no one is. It starts beeping, the audio switches, the GPS goes off, and will not change even when you try clicking the buttons. It is extremely distracting while driving, navigation does not respond, and interferes with the ability to focus on driving. The problem has been reproduced by the dealer, has happened to numerous other customers, and the dealers have done nothing to fix it. It has been inspected by the Honda dealership multiple times. No warning prior to failure. According to research, this has been an ongoing problem for various other people, yet there is still not a fix available for this safety issue. This is unacceptable.

Aug 1, 2025

The faulty touch screen infotainment system creates an environment that is not conducive to safe driving. This specific issue is referred to as the "ghost touch" across the industry which involves the system randomly rapidly pressing buttons autonomously and producing an audible beep with every press of the button. Not only is every random beep a distraction but this issue causes drivers to attempt to regain control of the infotainment system while driving due to the fact that most drivers now rely on these systems for navigation and to abide by hands-free traffic laws. You may ask "Why don't you simply turn the infotainment system off?". Well I tried and the system turns itself back on. This creates a scenario that is equivalent to the dangers presented by texting and driving. A simple google search of 'Honda Accord Ghost Touch' will yield a myriad of results with consumers experiencing this issue and sharing the same concerns. I have audio-video recording of this issue and have spoken to the service advisor at Pearson Honda located in Mildothian, VA and they are requesting that customers pay $180 for a diagnosis of this well known issue but they do not know the exact cause or solution. Customers have had their systems reset and even had the screen replaced and the issue still occurs. This issue has been present in my vehicle for at least 3 months but has progressively gotten worse overtime to the point that driving the vehicle is intolerable as it distracts me while I'm driving and causes a great amount of frustration which also effects my driving behavior.

My car won’t crank. my touch screen is glitching. my idol system doesn’t work nor does my parking brake system.

Jul 26, 2025

Touchscreen display has phantom touch. It changes every second and sounds of clicking touch happen.

Jul 24, 2025

I am writing to formally report a serious issue with the infotainment system in my 2022 Honda Accord. The touchscreen consistently exhibits “phantom touch” behavior — screens change on their own, controls do not respond properly, and essential features like navigation and audio become difficult or impossible to use. This issue has persisted since at least July 2025 and creates a significant distraction while driving, compromising safety. I have not yet taken the vehicle to a Honda dealership because I was informed there would be a $190 diagnostic fee just to assess the issue. Before proceeding, I conducted extensive research and discovered that this is a well-documented and widespread defect affecting many 2021–2022 Honda Accord models. Numerous owners have reported identical issues online and through NHTSA complaints. From what I’ve found, even when the screen is replaced, the problem often recurs — and Honda has reportedly advised some customers that no effective fix is available at this time. As a customer, I find this deeply concerning. This is clearly a known issue, yet no formal recall or technical service bulletin appears to have been issued. More importantly, it directly affects driver safety — particularly when it impairs the ability to use built-in navigation, manage phone calls, or adjust vehicle settings without distraction

Jul 21, 2025

My 2022 Honda Accord has a serious infotainment system malfunction, which has persisted since at least September 2023. The touch screen exhibits "phantom touch" issues — screens change erratically, and touch controls do not respond properly. This makes in-car navigation unreliable and forces me to use my phone for directions, which is unsafe and distracting. The dealership and Honda have acknowledged the problem and indicated it is a known defect affecting 2021–2022 Accord models. However, after nearly two years, no remedy or replacement has been provided, and all parts available are apparently affected. Honda has advised against replacing the display panels at this time. I believe this issue constitutes a safety concern due to the distraction and lack of dependable navigation, and I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate and prompt Honda to provide an effective fix.

Jul 13, 2025

While driving, the vehicle radio jumps screens without any user input. When you try to interact with it, it freezes and locks up for a period of time, and then catches up. It is especially worse if a phone is plugged into, leading to distracted driving and a potential safety hazard. According to the dealer it’s a known problem, but Honda has no fix.

Jul 8, 2025

The infotainment system has an issue where it will randomly switch between Car play, radio, or even dial a phone number. In the middle of using navigation it will jump to a different screen then no longer allow inputs ie touch screen stop sensing what is being pressed and is unresponsive. It is a safety issue in regards to navigation. There are many reports of the above occurring on unofficial forums such as Reddit.

Jul 3, 2025

The entire dashboard light up like a Christmas tree. Multiple error codes detected with no fix.

May 15, 2025

The infotainment system keeps flashing. It changes on its own. The radio turns off the settings are changing on the screen on there own. Without touch to screen. Ive reset the radio took it to honda to get checked the problem wasnt happening when i had the appointment so they couldnt help.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to restart. The low tire pressure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the battery harness. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who then diagnosed a failure with the battery. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was again taken back to the dealer, who then diagnosed a failure with the battery sensor. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,000.

Mileage: 18,000

The GPS goes unresponsive as part of the symptoms of the infotainment system acting by itself. This poses a distraction and driving risk while trying to not miss the destination. Also radio Touchscreen becomes unresponsive while radio changes from stations to bluetooth back to stations on its own.

Ive previously reported on here Errors I was getting, when pushing the gas, MULTIPLE all engine lights going off at once. Its like when you push the gas, the engine stallls, and then all the lights light up; The turbo charger errors; Fuel Sys 1 error; Fuel Sys 2 error; etc. The Cruise Control on does the same thing - especially if there is any type of incline. I know that MANY other Honda owners are experiencing the same and saw their complaints; I see there is now a recall, but WHY is my car NOT showing on here, when clearly it should be. Im asking for a file number and an investigation. Where can I go to get this looked at? Nobody is following up with me. I believe this is fitting Recall21V-215 or 20V-314

Aug 13, 2024

EVERYTIME THERE'S MOISTURE OR IS COLD OUTSIDE OR EVEN IF IT RANS WHEN YOU TURN ON THE CAR ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE CAR DASH COME ON, BRAKES, PARKING ASSIST, ETC. I CALLED THE DEALER FOR THEM TO CHECK IT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THIS CAR HAS ONLY 18K MILES AND THEY SAID I HAVE TO PAY TO CHECK IT. HOW IS THIS WHEN THIS IS DANGEROUS. WHEN IT'S HOT OUTSIDE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN.

I was getting on a freeway, via an on ramp, I was the first vehicle from the light, so there were no vehicles ahead of me. As I was about to merge onto the right lane of the freeway, my vehicle slams to a stop. The BRAKE icon appeared on the control panel, and worried about the vehicle behind me maybe hitting me, I attempt to pull to the right to get off the road. Luckily there were no vehicles on the freeway at the time close to me, and the vehicle that was behind me when I got onto the freeway on ramp, was far enough back. My vehicle only braked for a moment, but it was a hard jerk. It all lasted seconds and I managed to merge onto the freeway and continue on my way. I have not told the dealership yet, where I purchased the vehicle from, but I'm going in for regular service in a week and will address it then. There have been other times the BRAKE icon shows up, but the vehicle had never stopped on it's own before. That was a first. I have, however, noticed NUMEROUS electrical related problems with this vehicle. Well, I'm assuming it's all electrical (braking, speed, AC/heating, backup camera not working due to outside temp). I purchased it new, I'm the sole owner, it has just over 8K miles on it. I didn't bring it up with the dealer because I just chalked it up to numerous other problems I have with this vehicle, and figured I had a lemon, so it's too late to do anything about it. And most of the time if the dealer can't replicate the problem, they feel like it doesn't exist, they won't do anything anyway. I have since disabled any driver assist abilities in the vehicle. I have no issues with anyone inspecting my vehicle.

Apr 29, 2024

Suddenly all errors are alerting on the car after multiple trips to the mechanic we are finding that there is electronic computer errors with the braking system.. this is causing everything to go alert in the entire car. It is believed that the problem will cause brake lock up and safety issues. I would like an investigation into this vehicle. I tried to take it to the dealer, who told me they were far too busy to look at it but if I leave it there I could rent a vehicle from them until they get around to it. I went to another mechanic and again this is what we discovered. The car has computer glitches.

Apr 21, 2024

The whole switch for the e brake and park hold fell into the console. I was driving normally one day and heard a noise, when I looked down I noticed it had fallen. I have only used this switch about 2 times since purchasing this car brand new in 2022.

Apr 18, 2024

On multiple occasions, my 2022 Honda Accord has used the automatic braking system against my better judgement and almost caused traffic collisions. - It has braked when I was simply turning around in a parking lot, nearly causing a vehicle to hit me. - It brakes when I'm trying to park my vehicle in a narrow garage space, despite not being in danger of hitting anything. - It has braked at traffic intersections when it sees cars turning in front of me, almost causing vehicles behind to collide with the back of my car. I filed a complaint with Honda, but they were unhelpful. Since it's impossible to permamently disable this safety feature, their only resolution was for me to remember to temporarily disable it every time I use the vehicle. It appears that this technology is flawed and prone to malfunctioning and Honda implemented it in their vehicles to track the data by using involuntary test subjects. In my view, this warrants a federal investigation and lawsuit. Thank you.

Was waiting at a red light and when the light turned green I started to accelerate. All of the sudden the car lost power and I had to pull over to the side of the road. The car won't move in drive or go into reverse. I was almost hit do to the fact the car lost power to the power train.

Car is only 5 months old and 1500 miles. All lights on dashboard are on. Check engine, check brake, check emissions, check collision mitigation, check ABS - literally all lights are on.
